Id: an orange satin bomber jacket with yellow waistband and cuffs that is embroidered with many different kinds of flowers and plants, including lavender, strawberry plants, thistle, peonies, and daisies. Many stitches are used, such as stem stitches, satin stitches, and French knots.

I think this is the coolest surface embroidery I’ve ever done. usually I stitch to counted embroidery but I sewed the jacket and thought that it would be really cool to have flowers growing out of the waistband all the way around.

and before i start i wanna say like. i don't mind generally when people joke around with my art n' such and i know no one means it in an insulting way so i'm not upset *at* anyone, but man i am. a little grumbly when people's first response on something i worked hard on is to meme on it,

this isn't intended as a vaguepost and is not directed at anyone, i'm just expressing a general feeling here. i love you all and i really appreciate the support y'all have offered, it's incredibly sweet <3 and jokes sometimes are fun and good, especially if we're friends :D but. man. sometimes my lil baby feelings get a lil hurt ig,

"nothing is too small or insignificant if it keeps you alive" is something my therapist drilled into me and she's right; when we're depressed it's really hard to see far out into the future but smaller moments of happiness and short-term goals are just as meaningful & impactful. if you live to see tomorrow because you'll get to play your favourite game, or if you make it to the weekend for that package to be delivered, or if you're only waking up every day because you know your pet would miss you, that's still enough. whatever it is that's keeping you going right now is more than enough. take all of the comfort you can in what keeps you here and hold the things you care about as close to you as you can and don't ever let anyone tell you that you're cringe for it. it's not cringe to be alive one more day, is it?

Ailsa was okay for now. She was out of harm’s way. And in a moment of stark, shocking realisation after everything that had happened, that was all that mattered to Ruaraidh.

Nothing else.

He’d accept any punishment they decided to dole out.

Ruaraidh kicked open the door to the room where Ailsa had been staying with her sister. The door banged off the opposing wall as it hit it, but Ruaraidh simply angled his body so when it rebounded, it glanced off his shoulder – the one opposite from Ailsa’s head. His patience was gone, now.

He placed her upon the bed with the utmost care. His stomach turned when her head hit the softness of the pillow and she let out a groan. “Ailsa?”

One eye cracked open, but it was bleary. Nearly unseeing.

“Ailsa, it’s Ruaraidh.” He gingerly lifted one of her hands and grasped it with both of his. “It’s me. I’ve got you, all right? It’s over.”

She exhaled and her body slumped further into the bed. Her eyes fluttered closed.

It was the most natural action in the world for him to lift her hand slightly and bend his head to press a kiss against her knuckles.

All he’d ever desired was to keep her safe. To keep her family safe. He knew she feared them coming for her sister. Not unlike how he had as a boy, he supposed. With that one action, he vowed he’d never let anything like this happen to her again. She’d put herself in harms way for him… For his family. And he’d let this happen.

He was underserving of someone as wonderful as her.
