Big Warrior Blacksmith complimenting Big Golem Blacksmith Spirit 's Axe COLORED (Elden Ring)

Been getting into my 2 other main character runs more now that Ive beaten the DLC with my Berserker lady a few days ago.

Galmar is my big holy Axe and Shield Lad, absolute tanky boi, and also a legendary blacksmith vampire slayer from my setting. I feel like he would really appreciate some of the Smithscript weapons.

On that note, now that my full first run was done I decided to have some fun with spirits on my other runs, For Galmar I paired him with another Tanky blacksmith buddy, Taylem the Golem Smith absolutely lovely pair these two chonkers make!

Did this before they fixed and ended up Nerfing the Sacred/Flame infused Smithscript weapons. honestly, Im pretty bummed out about it. Was so happy of the damage my Axe build was doing and was finally happy doing good damage with my throwing daggers, by doing very focused minmaxing...lost like 200 AR on all my smithscript weapons I worked on for the builds, real shame.

But RP is RP, Its still sevicable damage, just kinda wished I never had a taste for that damage before the nerf XD

i was talking to lestat the other day about poetry. i have a friend whose art i love and admire dearly but their poetry is weakened by their need, or perhaps simply their tendency, to write into their poem an explanation for everything they feel. not a justification necessarily but an overarticulation, more words to carve out the shape of the unspeakable thing

they do not come to me for poetic critique and so i do not give it to them. but in discussing this, and other poets, with lestat i of course had to use poetry to explain my own feeling about why i dont think poems work if you put too much effort into explaining them

as anne carson puts it:

its not that we want to understand everything or even understand anything we want to understand something else

i think this extends to most fields of art. david lynch notoriously refuses to explain his films. many authors disdain readers who try to "solve" their books. i suspect i am a mediocre poet for the same reason i am an altogether skillful cartoonist. there come multiple points in the process of writing (longform) prose where i shake my head and imagine pulling my manuscript out of my readers hands and say no no no i wrote it all wrong, im doing you a disservice by feeding your imagination the wrong thing, let me just show you instead. not out of a lack of faith in my readers sevicable imaginations (though maybe this is the case on my more misanthropic days) so much as a glaring self-consciousness that my words mean less when not juxtaposed against another movement. (and i wonder if musicians and lyricists feel this way towards poetry as i the graphic novelist feel towards novels.) my ability to articulate that "something else" requires more than one axis of imagination. if im feeling bad about myself i will point out that this means i am inefficient and prone to making more work for myself. if i find some generosity and compassion for the plight of the cartoonist i inhabit i will point out that this meaning is multiplicative, and only some stories can come out in this form without suffering some kind of mutilation.

i dislike thought bubbles in multiple levels for multiple reasons, partly because they also overexplain. i wont deny thought bubbles have their placeand im even outright fond of the manga tradition that blends it with narration wherein western comics theyre much more distinct but for the kind of comics i read and write, the characters' inner psyches are the one place i need to go alone, without the author. if i do my job right my comic will help my readers go there on their own path, and thats a privilege solely for them

is the thought process that Zizi goes through here even able to be articulated in a manner where one word can be put after another in a comprehensible order? if it was, is that more important than the reader moving through these emotions with them, and coming to these conclusions? im not so egotistical to presume i get to tell my readers how to feel or think or understand. its only my hope that through my art they find out what they want to understand something else.

oooooof anon I don’t even know where to start

Maybe with the fact I’m severely sleep deprived after the week of wembley? And that I will probably change my mind tomorrow after a good nights sleep again? Or that I’m super sad and a little embarrassed about having these feelings and thoughts in the first place?

At almost every harry show I’ve had an existential crisis at some point during the concert, of “what am I doing here? Why am I like this? Why do I spend so much money and time and energy and attention on this? Why don’t I have more of a ‘real life’? Why am I such a loser? Why do I feel like I missed my chances and became a little-below-average-adult instead of the special unique star my mum always said I would be? Why do I know all these thoughts are there bc I’m depressed and a little too self aware and hanging on by a thread, it feels like, desperately trying to find the next thing to look forward to in order to not notice how little I feel overall anymore and how little I care at all about keeping on living?” (Wow that got depressing sorry)

But this does kind of take me out of the experience for a second. And then when I see harry. i see him and his face up close. And I’ve always prided myself on the fact I’m extremely good at reading people, (let’s forget for a second I could always be wrong obv for the sake of this explanation), and what I see when I look at harry is a completely crafted stage persona (fair enough) but like - it didn’t always feel like this last year? Idk, maybe it’s the combination of this being a stadium tour, all the drama that has happened since last tour, then the having to camp for days to be able to see him close-ish, being surrounded by the absolute nastiest bullies with TPWK tattoos you can imagine (literally half of them are bullies I’m not joking), the entire feather boa cowboy hats “fuck me fuck me fuck me” thing solo harries have going on, harry doing gender reveals with such glee (???? Like shouldn’t we like stop doing that? I get you love babies harry but, shouldn’t especially harry know gender conformity reinforcement isn’t like, it?), reacting to all these yuck and nasty signs, re-encouraging the environment-catastrophes that are feather boas and single use cowboy hats ?? So I see him several times performing and he’s got all these amazing songs that mean so so so much to me and I see him going through the motions (fair enough) and not really feel most of the songs, and all of that just makes it look so - inauthentic? Idk. It’s stupid but it makes me feel like he’s a sellout, and that’s just not fair for me to say or think, and I know that, but I can’t help it. And then today he hangs with Shelli Azoff who’s been to court bc she’s abusing her sevice staff??? And it does make me wonder am I just deluding myself? How much is true and how much isn’t of what we make him out to be? Genuinely, him bathing in and demanding for more of the literal worship of his actual person gave me the Ick so bad yesterday. And then again he sings sweet creature and kisses his cross necklace right after. And then again It’s probably (as it always has) much more to do with my ego than anything else, and being upset he didn’t even acknowledge me for a second while literally standing in front of him with my big ass birthday sign. So just me being a sad little kid who’s feelings got hurt bc I didn’t get the attention for my birthday from the boy I like the way I had way too high expectations of.

All these thoughts are jumbled, and I’m crying and I’m tired but you asked so you shall receive.

Im just tired of having to mentally defend harry when he’s clearly wanting it exactly the way it is - saying he’s never been happier over and over on stage. So. Do with that what you will.

Sooo rambling here cause while it is tmnt related it doesnt exactly fit on my au blog. Its mostly musings and questions.

Firstly thinking about the turtles love languages and what they might be...partly inspired by seeing someone post about their aus version of donnies love language(s) and it got me thinking about it.

Moat versions of donnie seem to have gift giving/an act of service as their love language. I think we see this most, of the animated turtles specifically, with 2003 and Rise Donnie, correct me if im wrong, but the other Donnies still do this very often.

The mikeys seem to have physical touch as theit love language which is why they often are initating contact with their brothers. Its also why usually if the mikeys are huggers their usually the first to hug their brothers.

Unfortuantly I cant exactly pin point the leos and raphs , at least not well,because well admidedly I have a harder time getting into their heads. I have a little bit of what the leos might be but im not

I think some of the leos also have an act of sevice as their love language but not all of them? But I feel they have another love langauage as well.

If I have to take a shot in the dark for the raphs uhh I think it depends but a couple of raphs seem like words of afformation? Please note this is not a stable guess and what yall think about this all!

The next bits kinda pertain to rise specifically namely the ninpo. So it was floating around that apparently the writers intended for the ninpo/mystics the boys have to get stronger/more varried as time went on/they got older and im curious what people think those abilities might be. I have my own ideas and ill share what they are and why but they might be...underwhelming.

Please note this would be the good time line where no one lost their ninpo to the krang and they can all develop it as they get older.

Imma start with leo cause hes the one i was able to think of easily

Mass teleport with no portals. In the fight against shredder leos show to be able to telepodt without making portals first and even swapping with people and its been show he can still use his portals for long distance or group teleporting, or even delayed teleporting so instanious group teleportation doesnt seem too much a stretch.

Healing ngl I am a fan of medic leo, how ever I belive medic leo is more likely to happen after the events of the movie as before hand they seemed to heal fairly fast and may have not had majorly needed a medic nessisarly.

Water manipulation this is a bit...indulgent, my sister who I roll play with a lot and I have always associated the leos with the element of water soo....

Next imma gonna do Donnie

Tecnomancy- obviously donnies ninpo/mystics connect more with his liking of science and technology and his creativity. Being able to simply mentally connecr with and control technology would certainly be a step in the right direction I think. This would actually be the broad term to use and some other abilities I thought of certainnly fall under it.

Data collection- more or less he touches something technology based and any information it has kinda gets for lack of a better word "downloaded" into his brain.

Manipulation of tech- kinda taking already exsiting tech and uaing his ninpo to turn it into something else.

Electricity manipulation- zappy zapps...*cough* ok but in all seriousness being able to manipulate the electricity that powers his tech would help with the powers/flow of the tech.

Mikey

Err ngl a lot of mikeys abilities would probably be inspired by the movie because well yeah

Flight- was show to have at least levitation if not outght right flight in the movie.

Teleportation-seen in the movie as a mystic master

Fire manipulation- already shows shades od this by summoning fires with his nunchucks

Super speed-mikey is extreamly energetic and that could easily translate into this

Just magic just just magic what ever draxum could teach this kid

Raph...I dont got much

Barriers cause hes a protective older brother

Clones cause he was shown to be able to do that in the shredder fight even if we didnt see it in the movie

Maybe an elemental manipulation since his brothers also have those in their power listings

I look at raphs powers and ask myself how to work with this

....

Finally this is an in general thing uhh how does one write a fight scene im working on a fic for my tmnt aus and Im...just how do fight scene?

Journal Entry no. 2 June 3, 2023 - all about the tournament🏆

TODAY WAS THE BEST FRKNG DAY

basically, we won 1st place, champion, in that freaking mini tournament🏐

it made me feel so freaking happy like, i was so relieved when we've known that we've won.

but the question that ive been asking myself is if im gonna make it to the team, yk my last entry, but even if i dont ill still try, this really made me more confident, winning, even though i did some mistakes in there, its prolly just cus we werent communicating, something that can be easily fixed.
