"Huh?" Johnny said, looking down at the doll he held in his flipper. He was used to living dolls, like Geno and figured that maybe this girl was one of those. But, that raised the question - were there more people from Star Heaven coming down to help gather the star pieces? Was this situation with Smithy worse than what he'd thought. He placed the doll back on the ground. "Sorry about that. I didn't realize you were...sentient. I usually don't go around pickin' up dolls but I didn't wanna smash ya with my tailfin!"

the tiny voice was easy to miss in the fray. the even smaller being that it had come from was almost easier to miss given that she seemed to only reach his knee. crouching he regards her carefully. children were not something that he was used to dealing with.

TO BE FRANK, she had scared the living daylights out of him. But Henry was all for second chances, and in her defense, he’d been pretty ON EDGE ever since he’d found this place. It probably wasn’t her fault — though he’d be lying if he said he didn’t find her A LITTLE CREEPY.

Wiping a bead of sweat from his forehead, Henry tried to calm his racing heart as he caught his breath. “That’s… ALL RIGHT,” he tried to reassure her, though the clear fear in his eyes betrayed his true emotions. But after a moment, his eyes softened as he looked down at Poppy. “Maybe next time, just… don’t pop up out of nowhere?” He managed to crack a small smile.

She speaks between them like asking an embarrassing question.

An sudden scare with surprise was made, Holy shit afew blink were made aswell. honestly he didn't even know that he was holding a conscious doll.

"O! U-uh sorry I didn't expect a livin' doll 'round here." The spider stammered as he put the other down, only to straighten their dress up abit before standing back up. "Sorry fer that, my bad."

Soft yellow eyes lit up at the hearing of such a sudden, sweet compliment. It was something she had been wanting to hear after a gloomy day like this! Turning around to face the person, a big smile stretched across her face, like night to day.

"Aw, really?" She asked, fanning herself for a moment. "Thank you, darlin'! I reckon you're a real sweet doll! Y'look like one - a real cutie at that!"

Blade would look down at the doll noticing how she looked a tiny bit concerned with his wellbeing as he took a deep breath in and out, repeating it two more times feeling his heart cool down. "Sorry about that kiddo.... just getting chased and all... can really leave me tired." He said looking at her.

"More toys? Just like Huggy? Gaahhh Fu- I mean... crud. " He said nearly cursing but stopping himself as he was reminded he was talking to a child. "Alrighty. I think you know the way a lot better than I do... hop on my shoulder and lead the way kiddo." He said kneeling down enough for Poppy to hop onto his shoulder.
