your office life was a balancing act between emails, deadlines, and… keeping your one-sided rivalry with park jongseong alive. jay(as everyone else called him), with his slightly too-short ties and endearing but tragic fashion sense, was the clueless office geek. he was awkward, quiet, and too nice for his own good. yet, no matter how awkward he was, jay always managed to excel in everything he did, effortlessly snagging the praise you thought should have been yours.

what irritated you most was that jay never seemed to notice your rivalry. he was too busy offering you help or giving you his signature polite, bumbling smile. and sometimes, you’d even catch yourself watching him a little too closely, feeling a reluctant warmth for his harmless, good-guy charm.

one afternoon, you wandered over to his desk, smirking as you noticed his usual setup: notebooks organised to the millimetre, a stack of neatly sharpened pencils, and a sticky note that read “be confident!” in his looping handwriting.

he looked up as you approached, adjusting his slightly crooked glasses and giving you a shy smile.

“hey, park,” you began, leaning casually against his desk. “did you remember to double-check the new client report? i know how thorough you like to be.”

jay blinked, his cheeks turning pink. “y-yeah, i went over it twice… just to make sure everything was right.”

“of course you did,” you replied with a playful eye roll. “wouldn’t want our employee of the month slipping up, now would we?”

he smiled, looking down at his notebook. “just doing my best.”

you shook your head, laughing softly. for some reason, you loved seeing him blush, getting him all flustered with a few well-placed jabs. jay was sweet, awkward, and, despite your constant teasing, he never seemed to hold it against you.

but the next week, everything changed.

jay showed up to work that monday looking like a different person. gone were the slightly wrinkled shirts and too-short ties. instead, he wore a fitted, charcoal button-down with the top few buttons undone, revealing a silver chain against his collarbone. his sleeves were rolled up, showing his forearms in a way that made you do a double-take. and he’d traded his old glasses for sleek, dark-rimmed ones that suited him way too well, giving him a smouldering look.

you did a double take as he walked by, giving you a casual, confident nod. “morning,” he said, his voice low and smooth. the bumbling, endearing jay you knew was nowhere to be found.

you shook it off, convincing yourself it was just a fluke. but over the next few days, you couldn’t ignore the transformation.

he traded in his ill-fitting clothes for tailored shirts, stylish watches, and a few artfully unbuttoned collars that showed off his neck and a hint of muscle. it seemed like his glasses had now permanently changed, now sleek and sophisticated, accentuating his jawline in a way that made you, against your better judgement, find yourself staring a little too long.

and it wasn’t just his style—jay’s entire demeanour was different. instead of blushing and stuttering, he’d catch you looking, smirking with a confidence that left you flustered.

hiding behind the corner, you peeked around, pulling out your phone and hitting “record” just in case. what you saw left you speechless.

jay was standing in the middle of the alley, his body tense, his hands clutching his head. dark, inky shadows pulsed along his arms, twisting and curling like tendrils wrapping around him. his posture shifted, his shoulders straightening as the shadows coiled around his body, transforming him into something that was equal parts terrifying and mesmerising.

suddenly, jay let out a deep, guttural growl, his face contorting as sharp, gleaming fangs appeared, his once-soft eyes turning pitch black.

“finally,” a rough, raspy voice rumbled, oozing from jay’s mouth with a sinister excitement. “let’s go for a little… snack.”

a cold chill shot through you as you held up your phone, capturing the whole transformation on video. your heart was racing, but you couldn’t look away. whatever was happening to jay was unlike anything you’d ever seen.

as he turned, his gaze fell on the man who’d appeared in the alley, a figure holding a crowbar, his face twisted in anger. jay’s lips twisted into a wicked grin as he stalked toward the man, his voice dropping into a dark, predatory tone.

“ohhh, you picked the wrong guy to mess with tonight,” the voice sneered, dripping with a twisted glee. “i am going to enjoy this.”

the man froze, his face paling as jay’s shadows coiled around him, binding him in place. jay’s grin widened, his fangs gleaming as he leaned in close.

“run along, before i decide you’d make a nice little snack,” he growled, his voice a terrifying blend of jay’s and something far darker.

the man didn’t hesitate, stumbling away into the shadows. but as jay straightened, his gaze flickered over to you, and his eyes narrowed. in a heartbeat, he was in front of you, his inky black tendrils stretching out to trap you, pinning you against the wall.

you swallowed, trying to keep your breathing steady as he loomed over you, his dark, twisted grin sending a thrill of both fear and fascination through you.

“you… got that on video?” he murmured, his voice back to normal but tinged with a rough edge.

you held up your phone, smirking. “every second of it.”

his eyes flashed with a dangerous glint, and he leaned closer, his face inches from yours. “we could just… eat you, you know. save ourselves a lot of trouble.”

you raised an eyebrow, refusing to back down. “please. you didn’t even eat that guy. there’s no way you’d hurt me.”

he chuckled, the sound low and dark, his gaze flicking over your face. “hmm, true… i like you too much for that.”

the words left you breathless, your heart skipping a beat as you stared up at him, stunned. his face softened, a small, genuine smile replacing the sinister grin.

“so… about that video,” he murmured, his voice laced with amusement.

jay sighed, the shadows retracting as he released you, though he kept his gaze locked on yours. “fine. but don’t push it.”

you grinned, savouring the thrill of having the upper hand. “deal.”

over the next few weeks, you took full advantage of your “arrangement.” you had him running errands, fixing things around your apartment, and even carrying your heavy boxes at work. gone was the bumbling, geeky jay you’d known, replaced with someone who wielded both power and confidence—and didn’t hesitate to let you know it.

curiosity getting the best of you one day, you found yourself pulling him aside. “so… about your little… transformation,” you began, eyeing him carefully. “is he, like, a shadow monster or something?”

jay’s eyes widened, and he looked genuinely affronted. “shadow monster?” he repeated, crossing his arms. “he’s a symbiote. and he’s got a name, thank you very much.”

you raised an eyebrow. “a symbiote? i mean, he looks pretty shadowy to me.”

jay sighed, clearly unimpressed with your description. “no, he’s not ‘shadowy.’ he’s a sentient being that forms a bond with his host—me. he’s venom,” jay clarified, the name coming out almost reverently, and with a slight glint in his eye.

“oh, i see. so, he’s a person?”

“well, he has his own… opinions,” jay replied, wincing as he paused. “we’re a package deal, so to speak.”

“damn right, a package deal,” a deep, gravelly voice suddenly rumbled from within jay, and you felt a slight chill as the symbiote made its presence known.

you stared, both amazed and slightly unnerved. “oh… hey there, venom.”

venom chuckled, the sound reverberating low and menacing. “hello, sweetheart. i hear you think i’m a 'shadow monster.' "

jay rubbed the back of his neck, looking slightly exasperated, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes as he said, “see? he doesn’t like being called that.”

you smirked, glancing at jay and then back at venom. “got it, venom,” you replied, a teasing lilt to your voice. “no shadow monster remarks. i’ll be sure to remember that.”

that evening, you called him over to help fix a squeaky window in your apartment. when he arrived, his sleeves were rolled up, and those dark tendrils emerged, forming into tools as he worked. you couldn’t help but watch, fascinated as he tightened the screws effortlessly, his movements precise and fluid.

he glanced over his shoulder, catching you staring. “see something you like, darling?” he teased, his voice low, laced with that familiar dark humour.

you scoffed, crossing your arms. “keep dreaming, park.”

jay smirked, his gaze flicking over you with a look that was anything but innocent. “oh, i don’t have to dream.”

your face heated, but before you could respond, he leaned closer, his breath warm against your ear. “you know, all you have to do is say the word.”

flustered, you quickly turned away, ignoring the smug grin on his face.

one night, as you were heading home from work, you felt someone following you. before you could react, a man grabbed your arm, yanking you into a dark alley. panic surged through you, your heart hammering as you struggled against his grip. but before you could scream, a low, guttural growl echoed from the shadows.

jay emerged from the darkness, his face twisted into a terrifying, fanged grin, his body wrapped in shadows that made him look both monstrous and mesmerising. he moved faster than you’d ever seen, dark tendrils coiling around the man’s arms, pinning him against the wall with a force that made your would-be attacker whimper.

“didn’t anyone tell you?” he snarled, his voice laced with dark satisfaction, his grin widening to show those gleaming fangs. “not to mess with what's ours.”

the man’s face turned ghostly white as he struggled against jay’s grip, terror flooding his eyes. jay’s smirk only grew, his shadowed form tightening its hold as he leaned in close, as if savouring every second of the man’s fear.

“i should just eat you,” jay’s voice growled, laced with menace and barely-concealed delight. “but you’re too pathetic for even a snack.” with a dismissive sneer, he released the man, letting him stumble away in blind terror, tripping over himself as he fled into the night.

when you looked back at jay, his inky tendrils had retracted, his monstrous form dissolving into something closer to the man you knew. yet his eyes still held that dangerous, possessive glint, and his breathing was still heavy, his gaze locked onto you with an intensity that made your pulse race.

“you okay?” he asked, his voice softer now, but with an edge of something raw and wild. his hand moved to rest on your arm, fingers lingering as if to reassure himself you were safe.

you nodded, swallowing as you tried to steady your breathing. “thanks to you…”

a wicked chuckle escaped him, his head tilting as his eyes darkened with a new, eerie glow. you could feel the presence of that “other” entity in him, lurking just beneath the surface. “oh, she’s safe with us,” it rumbled, making your skin prickle. “but i think she owes us something, don’t you, jay?”

jay’s gaze softened for a moment before that twisted smile took over again, his features shifting, the shadows flickering as he allowed his alter ego to take control.

“you really think i owe you?” you asked, trying to keep your voice steady despite the thrill that coursed through you.

“absolutely,” jay, or rather venom replied, his grin widening. “we didn’t just save you. we protected what’s ours. and i think a little… reward is in order.”

you arched an eyebrow, unwilling to back down. “and what kind of reward does a shadow monster want?”

jay leaned closer, his breath warm and tinged with something dark. “i have a few ideas.” he chuckled, his sharp fangs glinting in the low light. “but don’t worry, sweetheart. we won’t bite… unless you ask nicely.”

your cheeks flushed despite yourself, but you kept your cool. “i don’t think you’re as scary as you want me to believe,” you teased, meeting his dark gaze. “you wouldn’t hurt me.”

his eyes gleamed with amusement. “oh, i could… but where’s the fun in that?” he tilted his head, observing you with a dark curiosity. “besides… jay likes you too much. and, maybe… so do i.”

the admission left you momentarily breathless, your heart pounding as you stared up at him. just as you were about to respond, his face softened, his gaze flicking to your lips before he leaned in.

without waiting another second, jay captured your mouth in a fierce, consuming kiss. the roughness in his embrace was offset by a possessive tenderness that made you melt, your hands gripping his shirt as he pulled you closer.

when he finally pulled back, his eyes flickered between jay’s gentle warmth and venom’s dark amusement. “so, boss,” he murmured, his voice laced with that familiar, playful edge, “any other tasks?”

with a grin, you pulled him closer, “i think i can come up with a few.”

jay chuckled approvingly, his voice a husky whisper against your ear. “good… because we’re just getting started.”

and with that, he leaned in once more, his mouth claiming yours in a kiss that promised this was only the beginning of a thrilling, dangerous new game.

Off of your realistic headcanons, specifically the one with his wife, do you think he could ever fall inlove with reader? Genuinely. How patient would the reader be? Maybe he’d just end up running away again, but still.

honestly? I do think toji would have the capacity to fall in love again after his wife. losing any loved one is hard but what needs to be pointed out first and foremost is that when toji lost his wife he lost the genesis of what was essentially his chosen family. that's got to be an unimaginable obstacle to overcome.

we all know that his heavenly restriction robbed him of the familial love most children get from their families. knowing the zenins, that "love" was entirely transactional and based on what toji could contribute to the family as a sorcerer.

to go your whole life being told your mere existence is a fluke, and then waking up one day and realizing you not only have a wife but a beautiful son that love you unconditionally despite your perceived "flaws" would had been something he never though possible.

so to have your wife taken from this earth as a young adult, leaving you to raise your infant son alone after you thought your life was set is something that will stick with you forever. I do think toji would move on, but I don't think it'd be linear.

he'd probably spend the first few years dedicating himself to his work rather than a relationship. he'd probably graduate to couch surfing next, never staying with any women for longer than a month or two. then, when enough time had passed, he'd maybe pursue a couple relationships relationships that last a year or so.

and then reader comes along, and there's a constant uneasiness in the pit of his stomach that he can't quite get over.

toji doesn't know how he feels about you. he likes sleeping on your couch, sometimes your bed if he's good. he likes the meals you cook him and the shows you two watch together. he likes the feeling of your hand down his pants and your lips on his. y'know since we're being honest.

he's worrying himself sick wondering what it is you're doing to him. is it a curse? are you slowly poisoning him? eventually he figures maybe he just doesn't like you as much as he thought. and that's fine. he went years swearing off women after the death of his wife, and he has no problem dodging another for the sake of putting his money first.

but then he's in your living room nursing a beer, feeling your soft hands caress his face as you come up behind him and press a kiss to the back of his head. and he cries. he cries big, fat, hot tears that he wipes away with the sleeve of his carharrt jacket after you've gone to bed because for once in his life he sees a glimpse of the life that he once had, and he wants that life back so bad.

toji doesn't come back for a while. he buys a burner phone and skips town, working odd jobs for shiu until he figures out what the fuck he wants to do with the handful of decades he has left. he doesn't frequent any bars, doesn't warm anyones bed. he just exists. he exists like he did those couple of years after his wife passed, and he realizes that he's never been so miserable.

toji can't live without you. and he felt guilty for so long admitting that to himself, but it's the truth. you are everything he loves about the world and more. they say men never forget their first love, and that may be true. but when he imagines a life worth living he can only imagine waking up to your face in his neck each morning.

admittedly you're upset when he shows up at your doorstep 2 weeks later, sheepishly rattling off an explanation that sounds like its going in 5 different directions. you get things sorted out after a long uncomfortable talk. you knew what you were getting into when you got involved with the man, you get it for the most part. which he's surprised to hear. you end the night passed out on top of each other after demolishing 2 large pizzas and 3 horror movies, happy to finally be where you both belong.

it hurts his throat a lot to try and sing in the loud, hoarse, raspy screams he feels like he should be, being a metal band and all, so one of the nights at the hideout he's like "Okay, this is kinda different from what we try to play, but shit's killing my throat so here's this instead."

his 'real' singing voice wakes up those 5 drunk regulars and the next week they bring more people (and so did eddie apparently, because he can see steve, robin, and nancy grinning up at him from the crowd).

the boys play one of their own scream-y more traditional metal songs, then another, then when they try to close with a cover, one of the regulars yells out "Play that highway one again!"

"…The what?"

"That shit you played last week, the one about a highway girl!"

Eddie looks around at his bandmates, who look just as confused as he feels.

"This one..?" he plays the first notes, and that one regular and a couple others whoop and holler.

"Hell yeah, play that one again!"

"Uh…yeah, sure man, you got it.." Eddie shrugs nonchalant, but damn! he wants to show off for his friends! that shit last week was a fluke, one of his own songs he was sure the other guys didn't want to play in the first place.

he glances around at his bandmates and they all look shocked but delighted at the request, so they play it again (after an unneeded apologetic look from eddie, they really like eddie's song!).

when they finish, the now 10 people in the bar cheer and hoot and holler, and when they make their way off the stage, there are a couple people who stop them with "That was really good, do you have any more like that?", "Never heard nothin' like that before, you kids got somethin' special.", and "Y'all better be back next week, 'cause I sure will be." from the patrons, and a harried, ecstatic "Dude, please tell me you have more," from Jeff.

and also something about how since that night all of steve's thoughts are consumed completely by eddie's voice because "Holy shit did you hear him, Robin??"

idk, just eddie being a songwriter that can't help but get his influences from his uncle's preference for blues and folk music when writing and then again, can't help but mix it with his love of hard/classic rock but him never using any of it or even suggesting it to the other guys because it wasn't corroded coffin's and wasn't metal but that being exactly what shoots them into stardom

Barty hadn’t figured he’d have to wait very long, but he was starting to have second thoughts by the time the weekend rolled around. Evan had gone back to acting odd again, even more so than he’d been before his birthday. Every time Barty went to knock his shoulder, or to ruffle his hair, or to lean against him on the couch, Evan would shy away from him like his touch was poisonous. And each time, Barty would recoil before attempting to brush it off as a fluke or misunderstanding. But the more times it happened, the harder it was to dismiss.

And so, seeing as this weekend happened to be a Hogsmeade weekend, Barty had vowed to corner Evan and find out just what was making him so skittish this time.

“What are you wearing?” Barty asked Evan from across the dorm, where he was digging through his dresser. Evan looked up.

“Um… a shirt and some shorts,” he said. “Why?”

Barty sighed. “It’s just that Dorcas got me this nice, muggle-style shirt for my birthday, but I’m worried it might look out of place. What do you think?” He held up the shirt, which Dorcas had called a tank top, and showed it to Evan.

Evan took in the tiny sleeves and elastic fabric, and his eyes flicked to Barty’s torso. He was no doubt imagining how it would look on Barty in a throng of wizards and assessing if it was too risqué or not. Why, then, his cheeks filled with color, Barty didn’t know, but he didn’t much care as he waited for Evan to respond.

“Yeah,” Evan rasped, then snapped his mouth shut like he had said something bad. But he didn’t take it back, which was good enough for Barty.

“Okay,” he decided. “I’ll wear it.”

An hour later they were with Regulus, Pandora, Dorcas, and Marlene, walking through the town of Hogsmeade. Dorcas had been delighted when she saw Barty’s choice of outfit, and even Marlene had commented on how she liked the grunge design of it. It was a nice confident boost, especially when Evan hadn’t been saying much to him at all ever since the conversation in their dorm.

“Marlene and I are going to go Zonko’s, if that’s okay,” Dorcas told the group. Behind her, Marlene grinned, clearly excited at the prospect of the joke shop. “See you guys later.”

“Actually,” Pandora interrupted, “Reg and I will walk with you a bit. We’re going to the Three Broomsticks, so we can all walk together until you reach Zonko’s.”

“Sounds good,” Dorcas responded, nodding her head. She turned towards him and Evan. “That leaves you two alone. Try not to burn anything down, please.”

Barty gasped, affronted. He searched the faces of his other friends, because surely one of them had just a little bit of faith them, right?

He found nothing but nods and murmurs of agreement.

“Seriously, you guys?” he asked. Pandora smiled, Dorcas shrugged, and Reg tilted his head. Marlene just laughed.

“I think she’s right to be saying that,” she said, still laughing. “You two are the craziest pair I’ve ever seen. That being said, I really would like to go to Zonko’s now, so please do try not to argue against plain facts too much.”

Next to him, Evan snorted inelegantly.

“I’ll keep him out of trouble,” he promised, and Marlene nodded at him once before turning and hooking her arm in Dorcas’s to pull her along after her. Regulus started to trail after them, and with one last small chuckle, Pandora went, too.

Leaving Barty alone with Evan.

“So, uh,” he began, not entirely sure that this is where he wanted to have this conversation, but if it had to be here then so be it. But Evan stopped him before he could get much farther than that.

“I was thinking we could go to the Shrieking Shack.”

Barty wrinkled his nose. There wasn’t much to do there other than stand at the fence and look at a rundown house with an odd name, and why Evan wanted to go there was lost on him. Except… there probably wouldn’t be anyone there other than them. And if no one was there to overhear, then Barty could ask Evan what was up without worrying what other people might think.

“Yeah, sure,” Barty agreed after only a slight pause. Evan didn’t wait to say anything more before turning and walking off, then looking back with a raised eyebrow as if to say, “You coming?”

Barty immediately hurried to catch up, and off they went.

Well well well, here we go again. gmmtv the first horseman of the QL apocalypse has grace/curse us again with their presence. surely there would be something worth watching out of this branded trash fire. i will left that one het show out because i don't go there but lol, Nanon really is the last bastion for straight people huh? 🤣

รักแห่งสยาม (The Love of Siam) The Musical : i was 12 when this movie came out so i didn't watched it in theater, only catch it later online when i was in my late teen. tbh i didn't really liked it, i was knee deep in yaoi at that point so i found this movie to be a bit boring. let see how it goes but fornow... no comment.

Dare you to death ไขคดีเป���น เห็นคดีตาย : Eeh, not gonna lie i'm not feeling this one fams. joongdunk doesn't sold me as an actors that could do mystery well. i might be wrong but i'm putting this one for a maybe.

Ticket To Heaven เด็กชายไม่ไปสวรรค์ : G4 are not in a cutesy BL Wowoh! i really like the trailer for this one. the thai name for this show is "Boys/Boy don't goes to heaven" and it's make me get all the feels. i'm intrigued and excited for this one the most cause this one doesn't feels like a typical gmmtv show and against all odd i will hope they could deliver.

Welp let see, i'm excited for 5 out of what 20 shows?? oohh boy gmmtv really in the we throwing things untill something stick era ain't they. i think i'm in the more hopeful side of people whose has been burned by gmmtv. so i'm really hoping that the more unique shows that they got would actually turn out great cause despite what i've said lately about Thai BL, i'm very passionate about them and want to see them do well. i want to see Thai BL and Thai media in general to be someday be recognized on the global level, and gmmtv with all it woes is still the leading voice in this industry. i want them to learns and grow out of this idol manufacturer mindset, which maybe a wishful thinking but i'm still going to be holding up hope for a better days for Thai BL. any fucking way don't fuck Ticket To Heaven up gmmtv or i will be doing cursing ritual on you!

Reading the Torchwood shooting scripts has been so interesting. I keep thinking about things that were cut and things that were added that aren't in the script.

In Greeks Bearing Gifts, the thought that Tosh overhears from Ianto -- "Can't imagine a time when this isn't everything. Pain so constant, like my stomach's full of rats. Feels like this is all I am now. There isn't an inch of me that doesn't hurt" -- that line isn't in the script. That whole little scene isn't in the script.

And it's so interesting because it's a line that seems like it's going to lead to something. Like it's going to introduce a friendship or some sort of character development, or something with Ianto. And then it doesn't. The Captain Jack Harkness episode is the next time we get extended (emotional) scenes with Ianto.

Oh, and a scene that was cut from slightly later in the episode was Tosh going to down into the cells and using the necklace on a Weevil, and it's just a primal wordless scream of pain and fury. Which I find interesting because its replacement is almost a similar sentiment, but coherent and in an understandable language.

I'm glad we got a tad more Ianto with the addition of that line, but I've always thought it was so odd that it never went anywhere. It might have been interesting for Tosh to overhear Ianto's thoughts again, because it might have either reassured her (if Ianto was thinking lighter thoughts and the one she overheard was a fluke) or found her a sort of friend (if thoughts she overheard were similarly relatable).

I think they sort of established a connection between Tosh and Ianto what with him saving her from the cannibals and all, but it might have been nice to further than relationship in a concrete way in the show. If one of the ways might have been Ianto and Tosh talking after Mary, it would have been nice, them supporting each other and also relating on the whole "Jack killed my girlfriend" front. But also it would make the entire conflict in CJH that much more interesting. Ianto's trying to stop Owen because he knows opening the Rift could destroy everything, but if they'd established Tosh and Ianto's friendship more solidly, it would have made it a lot more obvious how much of struggle taking that stance is for Ianto. It also makes the contrast between Owen and Ianto more interesting too. Owen's loyalty to Jack as a leader/father figure vs Ianto's loyalty to Jack as a lover/leader, and then Owen's obsession with Diane vs Ianto's consideration (or not) for Tosh.

But back to the overheard thought. It's such a negative, depressed thing and I think it's at least mildly deliberate on the writers' part that neither Tosh nor the viewer knows whether he's referring to his injuries from the cannibals or to the loss of Lisa or to the Canary Wharf trauma or to all of it. And then we don't get that side of Ianto at all until CJH or the very brief bits in End of Days.

I know Torchwood is basically just Clinically Depressed And Horrifically Traumatized Bisexuals: The Show, but I think it's kind of a shame they didn't do something further with this little bit of characterization.

But! I also think that's why Ianto is fan favorite. Which is a thought for an entirely separate post.

This was intentional, not a fluke.

JK knew he was going to fall asleep with us, and he also knew what the company's thoughts were on the matter, and he just didn't give a flying fuck.

He knew it. He just did. Fact: it took them longer to turn off the live this time than last time, lol. What was it? 6-7 minutes more or less?

He is gentle and genuine and just so real. When he tells us he's a human being he also shows it to us. He's not flawless and he isn't afraid to show us that either. He is a superstar with a heart of gold and some child like mannerisms. A pure soul. And I think that is partially the reason that millions of people will just sit there and watch him sleep for over 20 minutes.

Still wondering about White’s greatest fear. In the preview it seemed like he was in a brothel? He might know Non by a different name? But I believe Tee when he said he doesn’t know where Non is now.

Ohh the imagery here. I am still shocked that Top had that much regret about what happened to Non I doubted that Top was cognitively aware enough of what he did. I think top was the MOST FREQUENTLY drugged. Tan is definitely viewing this mission as his suicidal mission for his brother to atone.

I hate Jin so much idk how anyone can stand him. PHEE THE HELL ARE YOU DOING I HOPE IF NON COMES BACK HE KILLS YOUR MAIN CHARACTER HOLIER THAN THO BULLSHIT.

Phee should feel haunted. I appreciate he gave Tan a place to live but what the fuck did he think was going to happen when they set up this plan? Tan was not doing well.

Ohhhh so after White got with Tee he wanted to actually become friends with everyone maybe Tee wanted to change that he was truly changed by what happened to Non and falling in love with White. I can believe that. Look I’m pro murder in this show. However I’d like it if Tee White Tan survive. Optional on Fluke and Non.

Extremely painful so it is like I suspected with Fluke he went along with the bullying because probably before Non got there he was the target of bullying. I think the amount of guilt he has for Non is sincere. I am worried about his mental state idk how he is this drugged? Maybe Phee injected him? When he was sleeping? I don’t understand 1 how he had the nightmare illusion ep2 or these waking illusions ep10 when Tan and Phee weren’t around him? Yea it’s in the water? But I haven’t seen him drink?

Top is really committed to the bit. A guy wound is no joke though he is bad dead and… now we can’t say any of this was an accident.

Understatement. But!!!!! Notice this people who like Jin. Jin has kept up with the news on Non’s family. He kept being a nosey stalker after non was dead? But he doesn’t believe non is dead. He was halcinating about the teacher while he knew about what happened to Non’s family?! The actual fuck.

I do believe this. I think he had no choice. We know his uncle is currently in prison so it seems like he was able to do something. But White doesn’t know about that? I thought White might be a prostitute with Non because maybe the fear rash was imagined because he feels dirty from what happened to him.

but maybe not… White truly seems to be innocent.

I really like Tee and White I find them much more compelling and interesting than Phee and Jin. I can’t wait to see where things go.

Hey Petty! I love reading your colour-analysis posts a lotttt and recently came across your posts about DFF. Started watching it because of you and it's soo good! So, I noticed you're starting to suspect White. But come on, isn't he literally named "White"?! I really don't see him being mixed up in all the drama like the others. My bet's on him being the last girl standing (like many others ig). What's your take on it??

I love color symbolism, but maybe it’s because I played Clue too much as a child, I actually don’t trust anyone in this show. White has proven several times to be as pure and innocent as his name, but . . . is he too good to be true?

The biggest reason I want White to not be so innocent in all of this is because this is traumatizing. If White truly had no idea what he was in for, this boy will need a good therapist and to stay hydrated the rest of his life. So by me thinking something is up with him, it helps me cope with the idea that maybe he isn’t being traumatized, but actually in on the traumatizing.

And then, there are the other reasons:

The Tumblr detectives have stated that White is rich. Possibly richer than Por. He went to a private school, not the ones the boys went to.

Yet Tee tells him that he will treat them to the US to see Jin when he has enough money.

I’m not one to question power dynamics in a relationship, but it’s odd because the OST makes it seem like White approached Tee first, as if Rich Boy White initiated this relationship with older Tee . . . without knowing anything about him.

We still have yet to get backstory on White. He is dating Tee. That’s it! The music video showed us more scenes from them, so how did they end up falling in love in an arcade?

He is resourceful. He plugged in the walkie-talkies. He found the video and a gun. He cries when screamed at. But is he using those tears as another resource? If white women weaponize their tears, why can’t White?

And who does he turn those tears against the most? Tee!

I believed White wasn’t New because I could not imagine Non’s brother actively dating (and fucking) his brother’s bully, but why is White dating Tee? Tee had some people convinced he was a good guy in the first episode, but NOT ME! Once he said that White was being disobedient, I was ready to push him off that terrace, but The Hand got to him first.

As Fluke pointed out, it’s strange White didn’t know about Uncle Joe. It kind of makes sense to not know about family members since even Tee’s friends didn’t really know about the uncle, but this rich boy doesn’t know his boyfriend of over two years had an uncle (regardless of the money laundering) ESPECIALLY because Tee’s ass was always at that gambling hall. Tee openly showed he is not the type to just let his boyfriend be alone, so how did Tee explain not being near White every second of every day?

White wasn’t supposed to be on this trip, but he begged Tee to let him come. Tee apologized for this, but White put on a smile and said all was well. White wants to be with Tee, and he seems to want Tee to be with him, right in the middle of the action.

So either White is a metaphorical angel sent from heaven who can endure even the worst tragedies or he is a biblical angel sent to punish these boys, specifically Tee, for their crimes.

Either way, he is an angel

who will survive!

MANGA SPOILERS UP TO CH236 but I need to speak, I need to just get this out:

Satoru: I would have been satisfied if you had been there to pat me on the back too (before he went off to fight Sukuna)

Suguru: *tears up*

Like. Shut the fuck up?? I can’t be normal about this?? Ever? The gravity this statement holds, the things it implies?

He wanted Suguru to be a teacher alongside him. He wanted Suguru to have been there to greet him after coming out of the Prison Realm. He wanted to see his face smiling at him as motivation.

By saying all of this, Satoru is saying he wishes he would have outlived Suguru.

And the fact that Suguru got emotional during this? It just tells me that deep down Satoru knew Suguru regretted the path he went down. Because why else would Suguru get teary-eyed? Satoru knew this whole time Suguru has been dead that despite his last words, Suguru wasn’t 100% committed to the path of a curse-user. At least some part of Suguru also wished he had stayed by Satoru’s side.

The thing that hurts is that one of the last things Satoru saw before getting sealed away was Suguru’s arm trying to overtake Kenjaku. Do you think a part of him hoped that Suguru would have managed to take his body back over? And then greet him when he was released?

The first person he saw in his “afterlife dream” or hallucination was Suguru. It’s always Suguru. Suguru’s voice froze him and got him sealed away. He immediately teleported to Suguru once he was released from the Prison Realm. Suguru’s voice and face was the first thing he saw when he imagined the two of them back in their student days.

That just goes to show that Satoru really, seriously never ever moved on from that point in his life. Being with Suguru was truly the best part of it. So much so that his mind conjured up a scenario where he would get to speak to Suguru again, as high school students, back where things were okay. He lived in the past this whole time.

Honestly, I don’t like how this was written. It leaves too many unanswered questions, and doesn’t allow for closure.

What about what Satoru said to Suguru before his death?? Are we ever going to find out?

Was Suguru taking over his arm from Kenjaku really just a fluke moment? I would have thought Gege was going to do something with that later on.

Is Satoru really never gonna tell Megumi about Toji? Is it seriously up to Shoko now?

It just doesn’t make sense for it to end like this. You can’t kill a character like this off screen, it’s just so messed up and doesn’t do the plot nor his story any justice.

DFF episode 5 thoughts:

Rambling some thoughts about the DFF characters, spoilers possible so I'm putting a cut

Jin - I was surprised that it seems like Jin isn't one of the bullies, I thought for sure he would be. Unless he's REALLY good at hiding how manipulative he is, he seemed to genuinely like Non (as a friend, I think) and wanted to befriend him. Especially since he fought back to his friends when they shit-talked Non... but then the question comes up, why is he friends with them if they're nasty and he's not? And why was he surprised at the way they talked to Non? Is he new to the group? Why did they accept him?

Tee - This episode made me a bit more sympathetic to him but also made me dislike him more at the same time? Because on the one hand he's in a really awful position where his uncle his using leverage of withholding the money Tee needs to help his sick father, and threatening to cut them off if Tee doesn't help with his criminal enterprise. And at the same time, Tee was so nasty and manipulative to Non I still had a hard time sympathizing with him. I'm interested to see how he and White got together, and if things with his dad resolve.

Top - Hated him, but I wish we'd gotten more depth. He doesn't seem to be part of the core of the friend group. He's just a mouthy hanger-on that doesn't have much beyond that, but I'd imagine his home life isn't good either since that's the direction the show has gone for the rest of the bullies.

Por - I felt bad for him, ngl. He had Regina George running the school vibes, but then his home life is tense. His mom babies and spoils him but his dad seems to disapprove of his entire life, and only care about Por as far as it extends to the dad's image. In the preview for the next episode, we see Por getting hit by his dad. It makes sense to me why he became the bitchy bully popular kid, since he has money but not love.

Fluke - He seemed to be part of the core of the group but also really quiet? Like it seemed like Tee, Por, and Fluke were the original three friends and the core of the group since they were the ones to convince Tee. But beyond that scene, Fluke seems really quiet and reserved. He's also the one to show disapproval of Tee and Top bullying Non and blaming the camera breaking on him, but he doesn't say anything about it or back up Jin.

Non - I wonder about him. He was presented as an entirely innocent victim this episode - but is he? He's taking medication for mental health issues, clearly. What kind? It is possible that he eventually snaps and causes something bad to happen... he shows s*icidal tendencies this episode, so is it possible he goes all the way later because of some of the bad stuff that Tee dragged him into? Or maybe he snaps and tries to hurt someone? I don't know, I'm interested to see what happens next. Currently I feel bad for him and wish the others would leave him alone, but we'll see if that changes over upcoming episodes.

Keng - Creepy. I liked him up until he pushed a ride on Non even tho Non didn't look like he wanted it. Now I wonder if he spotted a lonely, isolated kid and easy target and is harassing him... he could be the ❤️ in Non's phone. Idk but I don't trust him.

Questions I still have:

How did Keng end up dead? IS he really dead?

How does Tee's uncle play into all of this, as well as the money laundering with Non?

Did Non commit s*icide, did someone kill him, or is he still alive?

How does the politics and money laundering play into the broader plot?

How did Non end up going along to the vacation home when Por clearly doesn't want him to be there?

How does the cult play into all of this, if it does?

Are the present boys being haunted, or is it hallucinations? If it's a haunting, why did Top try to kill Jin when Jin was the nice one to Non, unless something goes wrong later?

Does Non like Jin? Does Jin like Non back?

Who is ❤️ in Non's phone?

How does the group not know if Non is dead or alive? Did his family never report him missing? Do they think he's abroad? What's going on there?

this is 3 months late, i started it right after gmmtv 2025, but only finishing this up now because i like having my thoughts down somewhere to look back on later when the shows air :)) soooo this whole post is a mishmash of thoughts spanning over 3 months lol

i didn't make a bingo card for this year because i didn't have any expectations, but somehow they managed to go inside my brain and pick out all the things i didn't even know i wanted,,, safe to say i'm very pleased with a lot of the offerings 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

only gonna go through the shows i plan on watching, in the order they were announced:

1. Dare You to Death

Detective/serial killer/murder mystery plots are my absolute favourite in anything so this really got me excited, the plot and vibes are kinda giving manner of death. i'm not sure i'm buying joongdunk in these roles, dunk especially looks like he's playing dress up 😭 jd have good chemistry (duh), the plot sounds good, i trust the director, and i like a lot of the supporting cast !!!! lots of good things about this show, so i'll probably binge this after, or watch it live if i'm not busy

2. Head 2 Head

I'M SEATED ‼️‼️ i love seakeen, the trailer started off reminding me of bad buddy (slay), and then the premonition thingies was also an interesting twist. keen is as charming as ever, sea seems a lil more comfortable in front of the camera which is great, and i'm absolutely loving the dynamic between them <33 also surfjava side cp second chance romance flavours 🤌🤌 MADE FOR MEE and the ending scene in the trailer ABSOLUTELY sold me, especially the last shot on keen <33 sidenote: the flash-forwards (?) of them at age 30 made me giggle a little, it's the opposite of what shows usually do where now we're getting 19 year olds playing 30 year olds 😭😭

3. Burnout Syndrome

never been able to get into offgun, but dew is an interesting surprise in this!! like literally the LAST thing on my bingo card would be dew in a bl 😭 i won't be watching, but i wanted to include it anyway because i will be vicariously living through the tumblr gifs for dewgun crumbs 👀 ALSO february mars here to say that the song in the trailer is an absolute BANGER, i've had it on repeat for weeks now 😭

4. Only Friends: Dream On

only friends season 2???? the scream i scrumpt when i realised what was going on 😭😭 while i had problems with s1, it's a fun mindless watch if you don't think too hard about it (+ one of the only chances we get where everyone makes out with each other, fuck u fixed pairs) always wanted to see ohm in a show like this too 😌😌 i already know the fandom wars are gonna be crazy once this airs, so i plan on blacklisting all the tags on every platform and just enjoying the mess by myself 😊 also after i got over the initial confusion, i rlly liked the concept of the trailer !! february mars here, i was looking through some old posts, and the way i've been manifesting/clowning/joking about ohm being in only friends s2 literally since before only friends s1 even aired??? literally MADE for me 😌 only thing i'm less than pleased about is ohm being in a fixed pair, but it's okay we'll deal 🤝

5. That Summer

winnysatang leads at last !! i'll be honest the first half of the trailer was kinda eh for me but it picked up towards the end and looks like it could be rlly good!!! heavy on the tropes but i love that if they can pull it off :)) i also find that satang's a stronger actor than winny, so hopefully they can do some workshopping etc before filming AND MONDRYU I WAS GAGGED 😭😭 was not expecting that at all, the side cp has me sooo 👀 will be sat for them 😌

NOT OHM THITIWAT WITH ANOTHER FLUKE LMAOO 😂 i randomly started watching my ride a couple days ago [december mars here to say i forgot to finish it 👁️👁️][january mars here to say that i picked it up again 👁️👁️], and i didn't even know fluke jeeratch was under gmmtv now so u can imagine my surprise when he showed up 😂 he's a total cutie, and the plot of this looks rlly fun and silly !!! i like junior and mark individually but i don't rlly have any feelings towards them as a pairing, also i have a terrible 2/2 dnf rate with both the ohm thitiwat series i've tried to watch before which is. yeah. hopefully this can break the curse lol because it does seem quite fun and typical gmmtv (which i love) february mars here again to say that my ride has been dropped again because i just can't get invested in the guy that's opposite fluke. Unfortunately i realise i've had the same issue before with ohm thitiwat (him being the guy i can't get behind), soooo i'm just rlly rlly hoping that doesn't happen here because fluke jeeratch is a whole cutie and i rlly wanna watch a show of his.

7. Melody of Secrets

this looks rlly good!! i've never been able to get into a forcebook show before, but i'm rlly liking the spooky vibes of the trailer, and force especially is selling his role so well. the plot looks different and i'm very excited for this!! will definitely try to watch when it's airing <3 also boun's in this !!!! and ployphach and jan !!! love the supporting cast sm

8. Love You Teacher

seen lots of people not pleased with the plot of this but honestly i'm not worried??? (on the contrary, i'm v excited for it) perth's character obviously isn't in love with a child, etc etc (not gonna get into the discourse because who cares lol) I'm genuinely SO excited for this one, probably my most anticipated after wu and ticket to heaven. I love established relationship trope and we don't see it nearly enough in bls. There's just something about perth on screen that's always so damn magnetic for me, and while i was kinda eh on perthsanta for p10l, i'm definitely warming up to him more in this pilot trailer specifically because it just looks rlly good. because their chemistry here??? FUCKING ELECTRIC GODDAMNNNN, they sell the established relationship SO well. i wanna give perthsanta a try in something that isn't affiliated with p'new 🫶🫶 (still have so much beef with that man because of between us :/) the plot looks so interesting and unique (especially for gmmtv), and i'm so excited to see where they're gonna go with it 🥹🥹 this is february mars rewatching the trailer and i'm just SOOO excited about it AHHHHHH 😭😭😭

9. Mu-Te-Luv

i do like anthology shows and after the initial confusion over why half of GMMTV was in this one trailer, some of these stories do look fun!! gonna tune into the ohmleng, seakeen, skyprim, neoyachtlegofluke and premparnnani ones, mostly for the casts lol also i haven't yelled about it much but prem is one of my og faves and nani is my newest fav so i'm very excited to see them working together :)) also sky and ohm in comedy again yayy, and seakeen booked and BUSY i love that for them 😌😌 this one's gonna be a fun one, and i love the shorter runtime for each substory, we don't get a lot of shows like this with gmmtv artists, i may watch this while it airs

10. Cat for Cash

the cat voices were so unserious i can't 😂 seems like a cute lowkey show, unfortunately i do not have any particular affection towards cats (although i do towards firstkhao), but satang in an antagonist-but-not-rlly role is also very fun !! i liked the editing and the over-the-top sound effects in the trailer, it works with the vibe, so i might binge it once it's over

11. Boys in Love

so this is where all of khun ice's boys went 😭😭 gmmtv will never stop trying to recreate msp's magic, and honestly i'm not opposed, this looks really cute??? definitely refreshing with all the heavier series this time around. chokunaston have my heart already and tbh all the pairings seem like a good fit, although i'm not particularly convinced by mick and luke's acting yet 😂 ALSO A MOMENT FOR PODDPAPANG MY KINGS 😭😭 solo series next pretty pls gmmtv 🥺🥺🙏🙏🙏 everything up til now was my thoughts on the trailer the day after it aired, but now that i've given it a bit more time, i'm actually a lot more excited for it??? it looks fun and silly and v cute, the fresh cast is exciting, i'm here for it <33

12. Me and Thee

PONDPHUWIN ROMCOM, THEY DID THIS FOR MEEEEEEE!!!!! i loved them a lot in futs, and pondphuwin's my comfort cp, i don't actively follow them or keep up to date with every single thing they're doing, but i absolute love their working relationship, if that makes sense???? imo they just work well together on screen and have great chemistry, i've rlly enjoyed all their series so far 🫶 anyway back to me and thee, the pilot trailer was SO unserious it had me HOOKED, at the start i was intrigued because pond lol, but then as it went on, i loved the vibes, "soap opera-loving mafia" is crazyy loll, the ending of the trailer was SO funny and pond's bit on stage afterwards was A++++ ensemble shows just don't rlly hit for me so i'm glad to see them in their own show again <3 I'm very excited for this, expecting it to be silly and fun and sincere, WILL be seated 💯

13. Wu

"ooh it's nani" 👀 (trying not to get my hopes up)" "wait i know that voice" *pans up to show sky's face* *i proceed to fall off my chair and hit my head on my fan then lie on the ground for 5 minutes contemplating everything that led up to this moment in my life* ^^ that is the real play-by-play of what went down in the lamonnaie household when the trailer started playing 😭 Genuinely was not expecting this at all (and GMMTV wasn't either, given that they literally filmed this 6 days before the announcement LMAO), but i'm so glad we got it 🥹🥹 also very glad that it's gonna air in 2026 so they'll have plenty of time to work on the script etc, i know skynani will slay so i will be seated for whenever it comes out :D

14. Memoir of Rati

i missed the trailer during the live because i was going insane over Wu, but this is another banger 💯💯 greatinn are definitely a great pick for this show, aye and aouboom in this as well, absolutely banging cast ahhh love the overall vibes of the trailer and the 2 pairs of forbidden lovers is so 🤌🤌 that being said, idk if period dramas are for me, i think i'll wait til the official trailer to decide if i'll watch

15. Ticket to Heaven

taking heavy breaths right now,,, literally felt like i couldn't breathe the whole time i was watching the trailer the first time around, and now that i'm rewatching, it still feels like that 😭 this genuinely looks so so good, geminifourth and p'aof, THE combo i've been waiting for since msp !! i'm so excited to see gem4th in a more mature role again, heartliming are still my favourite g4 characters and they're some of my fav characters of all time. Geminifourth are going to do so so well in tth, and this trailer was just MINDBLOWING. you're telling me this is just the pilot trailer and it's already SO good???? this is gonna be series of the year fr, and i'm not just saying it because i'm excited for it <33 also the start of the trailer and vibes made me realise that i need a skam o helga natt-esque scene in ticket to heaven 😩🤌🤌actually the skam france church scene hit even harder for me, so i'd love for tth to deliver something like that 😌😌 don't think it even needs to be said but i will absolutely be SAT for this, it's going to hurt so so much and i will cry, but i'm just so excited for it <3

i finally managed to finish this lol, so many shows to look forward to <33 gmmtv 2025 delivered in terms of plot, casts, everything, truly riding the wave and giving the people what they want 😌

Now that the spoiler that Qi Lian was Experiment 00 came out, so many questions:

How much of 2018 reality is even real? And same for JXY? She is obviously a real person to some extent but are any memories of her that he has erased or fabricated? And is SHE his big regret since the program appears to try to deal with those (he was not there for her six years ago and now he so very much is) - but also was he not around six years ago because that’s when he joined the experiment?! (Or is his regret to do with family or did he maim someone in a fight or just money desperation?) He was going to provide an explanation back way early but he clearly has no idea he was in the experiment so whatever memory he has of why he didn’t show up was false.

Or maybe he has some other regret? I mean, going by “high school is at least real,” they were both dead broke and with families either incapable or unwilling to take care of them. Maybe it’s tied to that. I mean, I don’t know if 2018 is fake and so his wealth is the same as her wealth in 2025 but possibly the money he’s got is payment for the experiment? He does wander around in those eternal suits and has a giant apartment and a fancy car and hmmmm…

Or maybe not and it was never about the money. Why WAS he the initial subject? It may very well be what it appears - a scumbag org preying on desperate and vulnerable young people and just randomed him off the street but I keep thinking of the off-hand mention of his mother working in a lab and that older woman we keep seeing (yes, in the novel she was Jiang Bo’s mother but JB is basically a non character here and apparently this is mildly inspired by the novel at best.) But if so, why did she experiment on her own kid? Crazy? Or he had some terrible regret?

And I wonder if he’s the only success story since regardless of how much of his memory is real and the world is real, he has clearly made it way past the year without killing himself. I wonder if it’s one of those tropes where they got a fluke and they keep trying to replicate it and failing.

And is it coincidence that it’s the girl he was in love with who is an experiment now? Could be of course but…

Anyway, those two will need ETERNAL therapy but also any drama that can have me go from wondering if he’s a figment of her imagination to whether she’s a figment of his within 20 eps is amazing!!!

Oh dear.

Well, it starts with and is in many ways about UWMA. I will put a cut here because I really can't stand a lot about this show and don't want my post in its entirety to potentially jumpscare someone in the tags.

And I apologize in advance to anyone who genuinely likes UWMA and New Siwaj's directing if you actually decide to read this post. Just be warned, I have a heavy bone to pic with both.

I have only managed to drag my ass through 9 of the 17 episodes so far.

I know the show is beloved by many, but for me it's seriously the only BL so far I have straight up dropped, originally at episode 3 or 4 (although i am trying to strongarm myself back into it sometimes when i feel especially masochistic). That's in a big part to do with Ohm and Fluke and how they absolutely not work at all for me together. Usually I can say fine, a thing is not my cup of tea, but I can imagine someone else enjoying it. These two as a couple unfortunately are for me something that I (this is a personal opinion) feel very much like their chemistry and when it's just them alone in a scene is objectively pretty bad. But as I said. Personal opinion.

When I look at the entire show it just comes together why these two were just what brought out all the shows weaknesses to me, which I attribute in large parts to New.

There is his tendency to use an atrocious amount of sound effects (in UWMA not as much on display as in We Are, which annoyed me so much that I nearly dropped that too after the first episode) and his similarily tendencies to drive me up the wall will permanent reusage of the same three background tracks over several shows of which some very agressively try to tell you a scene is awkward while you just try to get into character interactions (in Between Us I had to take breaks from watching because that issue was annyoing me so much). Honestly I have seen an entirety of one single scene in which for one moment his sense of comedic sound usage worked for me, and that was with Aob as Tan, who really shouldn't be hard to not turn out funny (but by god, Aob got so much bad 'comedic' moments due to said sound and music choices in We Are too).

But back to UWMA, because that enbodies most of my gripes with New Siwaj. Honestly, I was crying four minutes into the show because Earth and Kao's performances were so good and the scenes around it decently well made. But man, does this create a tone problem, if a) - again, personal opinion- the actors you cast to play the reincarnated version of the characters can't hold much of a candle to the actors you cast for the original characters - and really i don't know how much of this is really to be blamed on Fluke and Ohm, and how much on direction and b) you create such a tone discrepancy between the past and current scenes that it makes your audience start to dread the actually god parts of the show because you're getting whiplash from pretty shallow uni badoing (yes i am aware i would probably feel different about this point if I liked Fluke and Ohm's performance as a couple) versus a sad and so deeply queer traumatic story that always had the damocles sword of it's ending hanging above it. New Siwaj wasn't able to sell me that those are supposed to be the same people because of that massive disconnect.

I have to say also, I sorta enjoy Pharm and Dean as a background couple in Between Us, weirdly. I just can't understand New's direction choices with their romantic scenes in UWMA which are - to me - hard to watch with Pharm looking very much like he's feeling incredibly uncomfortable. To be honest, I have so far only seen one actor pull off that kind of flinching away and looking so very conflicted in a supposedly romantic kiss scene in a way that still came across as mutually enjoyable for both character. That actor being Gun Atthaphan, which I am aware is unfair to compare people to, because his level is difficult to reach. But I am saying this to emphasize that New - again, to me - either didn't chose the right actors for Pharm and Dean or didn't know how to direct them. I enjoy Pharm with his friends and Dean with his club is fine, but the second those two appear on a screen together, the show flatlines because of missing chemistry and weird acting and/or direction choices.

Unfortunately the show does all of that to a point that it takes it good parts (primarily the scenes from the past) down with it. I am paraphrasing a stolen quote here - but the crime this show commits is being in parts so bad that it starts to make me question if the good parts of it were actually that good to begin with, or if New Siwaj only got lucky with a very good actor choice that didn't need much input from him.

And i am saying that all as someone who loves the reincarnation trope.

So, closing the lid on the topic of UWMA for this post.

What about other shows of his?

1) A Boss and a Babe. I genuinely didn't know until this second that that was one of his (apparently because the app version of MDL is very bad). It doesn't suffer from my usual issues with him to the same extent. I gave the show a solid 7.5/10 when i watched it and still stick with that. ForceBook also bounce nicely off each other, added plus.

2) Between Us. Surprisingly I am actually enjoying this show, mostly. It integrates it traumatic background stories much better into the story. BounPrem have good chemistry, so I can vibe with that. It basically had most of the good parts of UWMA (minus the past backstory) while leaving out the things I had issues with. My issue here was mostly what I wrote above about background music ruining scenes. I saw one minor harmful stereotype that I see in too many other BLs too, but besides that it's okay.

3) We are. It took me a while to get into that one. As mentioned above the overabundance and bad usage of sound effects in episode 1 is so awful that it made the entire show (and Tan especially - somehow it managed that) incredibly annoying. This show can't shut up. And I don't mean the actors, I mean the fucking noises. Like it doesn't trust its actors to bring the point across and actually act without SPRINGSPROINGBADOINGMEOW in the background. Besides that - the show is okay. It has its good moments. It's a uni BL with all that goes along with it, which isn't super my thing, but I can deal with it if I get great characters and an interesting story. Which in the case of We Are... eh. The thing is I feel like most of the actors can and have done better, like, the performances weren't bad, but for example I feel like Pond and Phuwin wouldn't have needed to be in that show. Those roles could have been filled by many other people, and Pond and Phuwin could have gotten something more up to their acting skills. Only standout actor for me was Aou, he took Tan and run with him in a way that gave other people a run for their money, and TanFang greatly benefitted from that. And ChainPun was cute but only a single crumb. I don't know if We Are actually could really be improved on much (besides the noise noise NOISE NOISE) and I absolutely believe this is a very valid choice for a comfort show if you don't mind the noise. I gave it a 7/10 which is very nice of me given the NOISE.

Yeah, so. Summed up: I don't think he's good at utilitizing his actors, sometimes he struggles with trusting them to create athmosphere with their acting and I still don't know what's up with Dean and Pharm if that's bad casting or bad direction. He unfortunately likes giving his BLs the soundscape and soundtrack of a Looney Tunes cartoon with sadly zero of that one's comedic timing or feeling for scenes. That's probably also to be blamed on his sound and music team, but it is *his* choice to use it like that.

I am sorry that this still turned into a rant, but New Siwaj definitely gets me going.

Okay so I don't know if the actual metric of time travel/plot is what I'm supposed to be focusing on but it's fun so

We know all the pictures are of people Alex was/is close to that he took pictures of on that night

as Army took his picture at the party he got the one of Alex in the future

If we didn't have future knowledge via pictures presumably nobody would have stopped Mollie, they would have run away and Jean may not have found them. So Alex's intervention may have saved them

so is each picture a key moment where alex's intervention helps his friends stay on a good path?

But what about Alex's picture? I would have said it had already happened because I thought it was the moment he worke up in the future, but Mollie's pic changed back. Thus presumably it's last and once all the pictures have happened and Alex has saved everyone...he'll what? regain his memories?

or return to the past and live out those days makng different choices thereby erasing the future he just made better? Okay I don't think this option makes sense.

So yes, currently think the photos are so Alex can help but the why of it all and the what happens when he is done is beyond my current imaginative capacities
