There’s something about this, the way simply standing in the kitchen and talking, has him all over you and he can’t help it.

It had been a long week, and when you had proposed to possibly stay in tonight, Hercules was all but over the moon at the idea. He was exhausted, he couldn’t be bothered with attempting to act bummed about not going to dinner.

In fact, he rather it be at home with you, in this moment, right now.

“Do I have something on my face?”

You end your sentence and begin another with a question, to which his eyes flick up a bit to reveal that he was not meeting your eyes the entirety of that conversation.

“What? No, you don’t.”

“Then why are you looking down?”

It’s not something he could easily explain, and in truth, he would have to look down regardless, however, he was just caught staring at your lips.

“Oh? Oh—no reason, must have zoned out. What is it that we were talking about?”

He can see it in your eyes, the suspicion that still lingered, but you moved on anyways, for now.

“We were just going on about work this week, that’s all, I…”

His eyes move downwards once more, and it’s an unconscious movement. The minute your lips start moving, he can’t help it, he just wants a kiss from you so bad���

“You’re doing it again!”

“What, y/n? Doing what?”

“Stop lying, Mulligan, I know there’s something on my face that you think is so funny—“

You nudge past him, headed straight for the bathroom to see whatever he was so amused by, annoyed that he would let such a thing go on for so long.

To your surprise, there was nothing there, and in the reflection of the mirror, all you can see behind you is Hercules laughing.

“I told you, there was not a thing there.”

“Then why were you staring at my face like that?”

“Oh, no, y/n, not your face.”

The redhead comes closer to your personal space, forcing you to turn as he cages you against the sink, his hands coming on either side of your body.

“I think you know how enticing your lips are, and all I wanted was your affection.”

You can feel the heat crawl to your cheeks, but you can’t help it, the way you look up to see Hercules Mulligan staring down at you so admirably.

“You could have just asked,”

You say, hand of your own coming to his chest, forcing him to make the next move.

“I could have,”

He says, leaning closer, enough that you can see the greens in his irises as they blink at you.

“But where is the fun in that?”

“Oh, leave it to you, to make everything about fun—mmph!”

He cuts you off, and to no avail, the kiss is just as sweet as it always is, yet, there’s something a little more there.

“All that,”

You breathe, pulling away enough to catch his attention.

“For probably the laziest kiss I think you’ve ever given me.”

It’s a taste of his own medicine, surely.

You move around him, leaving him to sputter a response of some nonsense, trailing after you as you begin back towards the kitchen.

“Did I mention how tired I was? Didn’t think that would translate though…”

He’s still after you, hot on your heels as you check on dinner in the oven.

“Actions speak louder than words.”

You shrug, and he scoffs, hands coming to his hips as you won’t turn to face him.

“I am starting to think that—!”

You should just continue to tease him, yet, somehow Hercules has this thing about him that you can never leave it alone.

Taking fistfuls of his collar, you yank him down, kissing him squarely on the lips as he smiles against your mouth.

“There,”

He says, mumbling his words.

“That is what I was looking for.”

“Mhm.”

You say, gently bumping your forehead against his.

“That’s what I though.”

Literally Ateez if they were in the American Highschool Theatre Kid Experience. (I only did backstage for like half a year so forgive me for some inaccuracies.) Also when I refer to the soundbooth it has both sound and light.

Hongjoong

Hongjoong lives in the soundbooth

He's the lead technician there and takes his job very seriously.

Every rehearsal he shows up early, black coffee in hand

One time he even spent the night in the booth

When lights and sound aren't needed, Hongjoong's helping wardrobe

He's out there bickering with Seonghwa over how much they should take the sleeves in for San's costume

San's just standing there t-posing

"Can I put my arms down now?"

"No!" Seonghwa and Hongjoong shout in unison

Wardrobe is his domain

Seonghwa loves to tidy up the costumes and has them organized perfectly by size and color

It's a beautiful rainbow there

its not an au theres just. a production of hamilton. hosted by emu ootori who convinced (wonderhoy'd) lin manuel miranda into giving her the rights

wxs puts on a production of hamilton (rui painstakingly teaches tsukasa the entire thing line-by-line and is on the verge of pulling a nightcord by the end SLASH SILLY) and kidnaps other people (i.e. their fans) to help out (take on major roles) with the only pre-requisite being "please speak english and also know your part. we've spent a month trying to drill this into tsukasa's head and we think rui will actually jump off a cliff if we ask him to do it again".

so, with no further ado: the cast list. alexander hamilton - kohane azusawa. while you would expect tsukasa to demand the titular character he did not want to learn that much english (rui refused to teach him) and so he adorned it on his number three fan. who was thrilled. everyone knows my kohane hamilstan agenda by now. she kills it. an does not understand a word but is cheering the entire time. noone tells her that kohane is singing about adultery and tax fraud. aaron burr - toya aoyagi. once again, as a majorly important character, you'd expect this role to be filled by a member of wonderlandsxshowtime. no. toya :D. he knows english he can sing he gets along well with all the other cast members. its perfect! kohane dramatically brings up the fact he shot her on a daily basis from here on out and he dramatically apologises every time. eliza schuyler - nene kusanagi. we finally get to a wandashow member (we'll speedrun them all in a minute). Fun Fact! Cato!

So after Turn: Washington's Spies and Hamilton there's been some attention given to American spies in the Revolutionary War--particularly Hercules Mulligan. Although, fun fact, despite what Hamilton might lead you to believe (because time constraints, I imagine--can't fit it all in there), Mulligan was not as anti-slavery as Laurens or Lafayette, as he owned a human person, Cato.

That being said, he was given freedom in 1778 for his service to the cause of the Continental Army.

'Cause you see, Cato was ALSO a spy.

The British in general did not seem to take the idea of American spycraft seriously (at least, that's my impression), and the idea of a black spy? Nope. So Mulligan (who himself was far from subtle) was able to send Cato to carry messages to George Washington, able to help him predict British troop movements. All he had to do when carrying messages back was make sure the package said he was taking stuff to Mulligan's tailor business.

Like I said, he did get freedom and after the war lived as a free man in Massachusetts. He (and several friends) set up the community of Parting Ways in Plymouth, MA!

So now you know.

Hello Lovelies! Sorry about this one, my hand slipped. This one WILL be having another chapter quite soon!

Alexander had to fight back the bile that rose in his throat when his comrade fell. Alexander’s arms were still raised, finger still pressing on the trigger and gun still smoking.

“Now look what you’ve done, Hamilton,” a chilling voice startled the boy. Alexander blinked back stinging tears as he whipped his head to the side. Right where he was just shooting at, right where the man was supposed to be before at the entrance to the barn.

Right where John had been instead.

“Oh, well,” their - his - captor continued, “Less work for me. I suppose I should be thanking you, boy.”

When the man lunged at Alexander, he wasn’t ready. He had Hamilton pinned on the floor with ease, already bringing harsh fists down on the boy’s body. Tears began falling freely as the weight of the situation hit him. Alexander’s arms came up in a half-hearted attempt to protect himself, as his head lulled to the side to gaze upon John’s prone form - his body.

Alexander’s world was fading around him. He no longer processed the blows landing on his body that should have been weakening him. His vision was tunneling and any and all movement was blurring together into white nothingness.

Only John was in front of him. Only John existed.

Except he didn’t anymore.

John’s body had been thrown back by the bullet - he was dead before he had even hit the ground. Alexander couldn’t even imagine the fear and surprise the older man must have felt for that split second before the bullet pierced skillfully through his chest.

The man much his senior on top of him all of a sudden had a strong grip on both of his wrists and was holding them above his head. Alexander’s attention snapped back to reality and the present situation.

“It’ll be much more fun to watch the life drain from your eyes if you’re paying attention,” the man snarled, somehow with a terrifying grin planted firmly on his face.

With a shift, one hand was wrapped around Alexander’s throat with the other holding both of his wrists. Alexander squirmed and tried to kick, but with the man straddling his legs it was near impossible. His lunged burned and he could feel his movements becoming sloppy and weaker by the second.

This is where I die, he thought.

Suddenly the weight on top of him was lifted up, and the sounds of a struggle registered in Alexander’s ears. He turned over onto his side, bruised hand coming up to meet his burning throat as he coughed and gulped in large heaves of precious air.

And then there were hands on his shoulders, arms, his face, and lips speaking rapidly in front of him. He could barely make out the words due to his bought of oxygen deprivation, but he immediately recognized the heavy French accent accompanying the frantic, concerned words.

Lafayette.

Over his dear friend’s shoulder Alexander’s gaze fell back onto John. A bright red puddle was growing underneath his twisted body, though it wasn’t nearly as pressing as it would be if he was alive. It didn’t matter that the blood was spreading, the heart to spread it had already stopped beating.

“Alexandre!”

With a gasp and a cry, Alexander was facing Lafayette whose face was crumpled with many different emotions. Tears that matched his own were decorating his face.

“We have to get out of here, now!” Another voice from the left shouted. Alexander looked over and for the first time noticed Hercules Mulligan, now standing over the unconscious body of this captor.

Lafayette was pulling Alexander into standing, almost ignoring the way the boy’s knees shook under his weight. Without another glance back the three were rushing out of the barn, right past John’s body.

“Wait!” Alexander cried, twisting out of Lafayette’s protective grip and rushing towards his John.

“Alex, we have to go!” Hercules hissed, rushing forward and seizing Alexander by the forearms.

“No!” Alexander screeched, “No! We can’t leave him!”

The tears were rushing faster down his red face as he thrashed.

“There’s nothing we can do for him! We have to go, man!”

With an awful lot of physical altercation, Lafayette and Mulligan managed to drag young Alexander all the way to the waiting horses who were tied at the tree line outside the property of horrors. Alexander had sobbed and screamed the entire way despite his friends desperate attempts to quiet him, lest they be caught.

Once they were on the horses and on their way, the questions started.

What was done to you?

Did you tell them anything?

What happened to John?

“Alexandre?” Gilbert questioned at the uncharacteristic silence of his friend. “What happened to John?”

A soft whisper from the boy had Lafayette turning with a raised brow.

A safe distance from their enemy, they slowed the horses to a stop. Hercules craned forward to be able to see Alexander’s face from where he was seated behind him in the saddle.

“What was that?”

“It was me.”

I don't know what you think about this, but I am really craving for some John Laurens/Lafayette/Hercules Mulligan content

Like, THEM AS A TRIO before they met Hamilton.

I think they hadn't known each other for long before that, but honestly, I look at those three together and can only think "Look how good friends they are!!! They probably exploded some place together before, and could possibly sink a ship if they wanted to."

Yep, purely and utterly c h a o s.

They most likely met because of the revolution, and bonded over their will of kicking some redcoats' asses.

I like to believe Lafayette was the one to introduce Laurens and Mulligan to each other, and honestly, I think even himself regrets this a little sometimes.

Most of their time together, they'll just hang around, cursing the British and talking about their plans to the future when the US becomes an independent nation. Other times, they'll just get drunk and talk a lot of shit and laugh like there's no tomorrow. At this point, people are just used to how loud they are.

Laurens probably proclaimed himself as the leader of their trio, and sometimes the other two will look at him like "John you are not our leader pls stop" but mostly they leave him be. Ah, and since I got cursed with the Workshop version of the musical, I just now got the headcanon that Laurens is the type of person that will say "shit" at every chance he gets.

Lafayette, you could say, is probably the most sensible one out of the three. I mean, yes, he loves to get into confusion with his friends, and will probably laugh at them if they or someone else do something really stupid. But if he knows when things will get serious, he's just like "hahaha non." He also curses a lot in French when he's irritated. Laurens and Mulligan get the poker face when this happens.

If you thought that Laurens and Hamilton were obnoxious, oh look who we have here, HERCULES MULLIGAN!!! The man likes some fight and confusion, since he's just tired of his life as a tailor's apprentice. He's that one friend who'll make fun of you if you give him the slightest chance, but if someone else even DARES to mess with you, he'll be like "YOU WANNA FIGHT, MAN?! YOU MESS WITH MY BROS, YOU MESS WITH ME!!!!". He basically calls himself the "bodyguard" of the gang. Oh, and since he's the oldest of the three, he also will say he has some authority over them. Laurens most of the time will fight him against it. Lafayette will either stand to the side watching them kill each other and make fun of them, or will join the fight (most of this stuff happens when they're way too drunk).

You can imagine at this point that, by the time Hamilton joins them, things will just get MESSIER. It's difficult to say if they corrupted the poor young man, or if it was him that made them even worse. And poor Burr a lot of times has to deal with these four together and he just wants to disappear.

• Alexander once bet with Lafayette who knew more curses in French. Again, Lafayette. A French native speaker. And Hamilton dared him anyway. Believe it or not, they got in this discussion for hours, and in the end, they decided it ended in a draw. But just because Hamilton was way too stubborn.

• In "Right Hand Man — Workshop ver.", Hamilton clearly says himself to be the "leader of the gang", and all the others answered "Yes, indeed". It was just seconds after that Laurens noticed it and turned to Mulligan and Lafayette saying "Why when he's the one declaring himself as leader, we just agree with it????" and they're like "We dunno, we just want to shoot some redcoats".

• I bet Lafayette and Herc noticed the sexual tension between Laurens and Hamilton even before they two.

• Mulligan must look intimidating, but really, he gives the best and strongest hugs. Once Hamilton got out of breath in a hug with him. Because, compared to Herc, Alex is t i n y.

• Oh, yeah, the three of them won't spare HamHam from the height jokes. Once, Laurens jokingly said he looked cute when angry, because he had a "baby face". Alexander proceeded to lecture, not only him, but Lafayette and Mulligan too, for the next three hours, saying that: 1 — Laurens was barely some centimeters taller than him; 2 — "Get some beard before you talk about 'baby face', bitch"; 3 — He points out that, it doesn't matter his height compared to them, it didn't stop him from fitting his shoe into their asses.

• When drunk, these four get very clingy. And when I say very, it's because it's VERY. It won't be uncommon to see them either hugging each other, singing a drinking song together, patting each other in the back, giving funny nicknames to each other, and stuff like this.

So... yes. Very chaotic group of friends.

Ham X Burr: It's weird. They weren't super close IRL nor in the musical.., plus Burr shot Hamilton. Hamilton talked bad abt Burr. They were not really on good terms... The ship art is cute but I don't really like the ship.

Ham X Eliza: ABSOLUTELY YES YES YES YES. Soulmates 4 life!! I don't think I have to explain this but omg just researching on Hamliza makes me so happy, they were perfect for each other. And don't come at me w the "He cheated on her" YES HE DID AND IT WAS WRONG but Eliza forgave him and he didn't do it again (what we know at least... from all we know the pamphlet couldve been a cover up for a financial scandal, according to a theory) anyhow - YES, hamliza is my top 1 ship fr. AAAH AND THE LETTERS <<333

Ham X Jefferson: Like Burr X Ham, it's weird asf. They were more friendly IRL than in the musical but still, I don't think they'd ever date. Especially not the musical versions... Looking at the art, it's cute, but the ship itself is erm... Besides, the age difference is... Concerning. Thomas is 12-14 years older.

Ham X Laurens: YES. There is enough evidence to support the theory that they had a romantic bond. I've done a whole post on this, but I'll say it again. Hamilton's letters to Laurens were almost as flirtatous as the ones to Eliza (but then again Hamilton was a flirtatious man...) Nevertheless, there's more evidence. I like it, it's cute. It's giving highschool sweethearts, especially cs Hamilton's "romantic affection" died down when he met Eliza.

Ham X Lafayette: No... I know there's this thing called "the Gay trio", with Laurens and them, but really. If you do your research, you'll see that Lafayette referred to Hamilton as a brother. Plus, Lafayette was married to a wife he really loved before he even came to America. He had 2 daughters at that time, his first being born in 1776 and his second in 1777. He came to America in 1777.

Ham X Washington: No. No. No. No. ESPECIALLY the musical versions. Please bffr, they had a father-son relationship. Washington and Hamilton had quite the complicated relationship but Washington was still a father figure to his aide-de-camps, INCLUDING HAMILTON. Plus, Washington was 23-25 years older...

Ham X Hercules: Hercules was 15-17 years older than Hamilton. Alex lived with his family when he came to the colonies, so I'd imagine they had a brotherly relationship or maybe even a father-son bond. (I assume brothers tho)

Laf X Herc: Same with this. Mulligan was 17 years older, and they (from what we know) NEVER EVEN MET IRL... 😭😭 It doesn't make sense. Sure, they met in the musical but we still have the age difference and the fact that they both were married... (Herc married in 1773)

Laf X Peggy: Now, some people say they had a romantic relationship at some point, but I've never found any information about it myself and when asked for it I got ignored..??😭 I only found info about Peggy having smth for this other Frenchman named Marquis Francoise-Louis Teissedre de Fleury. (which can be read in letters)... The only info I have abt Peggy n Laf is tumblr and tiktok, and that's not really reliable... So PLEASE if someone knows FACTS about this, tell me!😭

Laf X Washington: Purely disgusting. Honestly... Washington was 25 years older AND they had a CONFIRMED father-son relationship. Lafayette would literally refer to Washington as his adoptive father, which is proven in letters. Like... They were literally father and son. It's honestly disgusting to ship this. And then again, they were married men. They showed no romantic affection whatsoever. Jefferson X Madison: Jeffmads... From my very brief and little research, they were good friends and all. Apparently Jefferson tried asking Madison to move in w him? (As friends, I assume) Don't know if that's true, I ain't doing research rn. Nevertheless, It's not my favorite ship... But it's not the worst. Hypothetically speaking, I feel like they could go well together considering how much Jefferson loved his wife before she died and how Madison loved his wife (my point being that they were lovers, loving ppl).. It's not an impossible ship. Only 8 years apart. I don't know if they showed any romantic attraction or so, I don't really have an opinion on it.
