Yknow something I thought about upon getting both of these costumes is that regardless of the situation, between these two (at the moment), there can't be two truths or two deceits. Either one or the other is truth, or one or the other is deceit. And even still, they're paired together and meet one another anyway (check the costume story). This really just ties back into what truthless recluse said about them being destined to be together. No matter what, it has to be truth AND deceit rather than either or. These characters are quite literally so close-knit that even costumes and alternate universes draw them together one way or another. As the light of truth shines, the light of deceit either shines or dims equally alongside it. No matter which way you spin it, these two have to be a part of each other's story, be it to fully realize themselves or to be reminded what's important to them. I think this is what could lead to Shadow Milk getting his eventual redemption arc, making it the first instance of two truths still built from acceptance of deceit. Just something to think about.
