hiii the motivation to write hasnt been motivating and i don't have anything in my drafts ready to post yet so instead here is me rambling on whether or not i think a relationship would work out between me nd certain slashers bc idk. im bored. and i like rambling abt silly things. nd only like... 4 of these r answered in full seriousness so.

Something so enticing about a post-apocalypse yandere

Someone dependable who you know will never ice you over resources or possible death. Its scary at times, they seem to consider killing you so "you wouldnt have to endure anymore", but their intense affection for you always wins out.

They dont let you do any dangerous work, so you are put in charge of the base camp. There is only the two of you- and there will never be anyone else. Your companion cannot share you- but they will insist its because outsiders will be a liability and ultimately betray you. So socially isolated you assume your companion has good intentions. When they touch your face, tuck your hair behind your ear, inhale your scent when they hug you- contact they want before they leave the safety of the base. You are lonely too, which is why you let them slide into bed with you and wrap their scarred arms around you. So desperate for human contact that you feel yourself getting wet and hot when their breath tickles your ear.

"Ah...you should have told me. No- it's my fault that I didnt notice sooner." Their voice is so soft and gentle- a voice that has walked you through so much panic and grief. Their rough hands are on you, stroking your legs and ass at a slow pace.

"We should do this...so you can get some sleep." Their fingers dip into your underwear. You dont know how much time passed and how many shuddering orgasms you unleashed with your body pinned between theirs and the wall. Their fingers worked you again and again with a lazy roughness- a result of their marred skin and dexterity. While their mouth lavished your neck with gentle but wet kisses.

Any number of excuses pop up. They join you in the shower, they pull you into their lap during breakfast, they steal your attention from your games.

"To keep your stress down"..."To make sure youre healthy"..."Mental enrichment"..."To save on water"

Of course you dont need any excuse when you kiss the corner of their mouth and ask them to fuck you into oblivion.

As time wears on and resources bounce back from a lack of predation while nature reclaims the space, your survival is easier. They scavange for toys as your lazy days have facilitated frequent fornification.

What you will never know is the number of other survivors they encountered. Some matched their wariness and they parted with a mutual understanding. Most were friendly- wanting to tag along with them or recruit them to their group after witnessing their survivor skills. "Of course we always welcome more hands! Are you traveling with anyone else?" They dont answer, no one needs to know about you. Persistant individuals are killed- they dont trust that some annoying liability wont follow them back to you and attempt to persuade you directly.

When they come back they are extra clingy. Burying themself into your embrace as soon as they have cleaned up. Your gentle hands on their scalp and back, your concerned voice.

"If we ever met other survivors, would you want to join them?" You assume they are distressed after another isolating experience outside.

"Hm, if you trusted them then yes I would. It would certainly lessen your workload." You comfort them, "Im sure we will meet someone at some point. It cant possibly be only us."

They take your comfort in a different direction. Its fine that they killed that enthusiastic man today- because they didnt trust them. You wouldnt mind living with out people, so there was no other survivors they could ever trust. Elimination was necessary.

They grumble their agreement while falling asleep against you. Your complaints about needing to get up and make dinner fall on deaf ears. Once they feel like it they will prepare food, lovingly provide and care for you the way that only they are allowed to.

well, since i can't really draw or write Arknights stuff because I'm really charged this month, but the brainrot is still very strong, i decided to do a tierlist of my favorite operators!

i don't count alters on this tierlist, when I put a character I consider it's them + their alter version; the choice of if I picked the alter or not for the vignette is only based on aesthetic choices, really. also for comprehensive reasons, i tried to put all the related characters next to each other (like how the abyssal hunters are all next to each other)

My most beloved precious blorbos: this one speaks for itself, honestly. operators i absolutely love, that i think about almost on a daily basis, no minded doodles every so often, writing ideas poping up in my mind, big wall of text about how much i like them, autistic thoughts, you know the kind. i just love them very much, simply. originally, saria and ifrit were in the tier just below, since i considered that since i have silence as my favorite character, i did not need to also put them, but i learnt to love them individually rather than for what they represent to silence

Big smooch on their forehead: characters that i know very well the story of, and that I'm really attached! not to the point of being my all times favorites, but who spoke to me to a personal level, or that i used a lot in early game/still use today. i love to read about them and would love to draw or write more about them! justice knight is here as a honorary member

I think they're neat!: i don't know them that well, but i followed them in events, or did a bit of research about them for a reason or another, or simply one of my friends like them! and i do think they're neat, pretty interesting, not the kind i'd be absolutely attached to but i enjoy seeing them regardless :]

I would like to know more about them: feat Abyssal Hunters, the Nearls and Gavial's crew. they are characters i know a little bit about them or they are related to a character i love, but i got too lazy to read their event and files because it's too complicated, or too long, or whatever. but they are characters i know enough about to know i'll appreciate them! so im interested in knowing more about them

Do you make your bed?

Uhhhh well. Sort of. I definitely make it any time I expect I'm going to have company, but on a weekday when I'm the only one in my dorm room? Nah. I didn't make it when I had a roommate either unless I thought she was going to have company (but she never warned me in advance for that so LMAO)

What's your favorite number?

I'm a lucky 7 kind of gal, but I also really jive with 36 and 81. My factors of 9 <3 <3 <3 If I have to pick one, it's always going to be 7 though

What is your job?

Right now, I work for the US Department of Agriculture! I've worked some other random jobs though, such as a waitress at a high-end retirement home and an assistant at a local hospital

If you could go back to school, would you?

Yes. Absolutely. I would reduce how many classes I take (because haha I am at 22 credit hours right now :')) but I love learning! I don't love all the pomp and circumstance of academia, but I've considered becoming a teacher several times as a career option and I actually have taught in a professional setting before. School's a love of mine that even all the stresses I've put myself through hasn't fully been killed

Can you parallel park?

Yep! My city almost never requires it because it's a newer one and street parking is only really used in our tiny downtown or in neighborhoods, but I can do it!

Uhhhh I think my current job is that, LOL! But even then, once I explain the details of my job, people seem to think it fits me pretty well :)

I think that somewhere in space, there's something that could be considered life, but we can't agree if viruses are living, so I doubt that whatever could be "life" in another part of space would fit our current definitions! Evolution is already fucked enough as is, so accidentally going down any path that resembles what happened on Earth feels pretty unlikely to me

Can you drive a manual car?

Yes! I practiced with my grandpa's old car, though I also stalled a few times LOL so I'm not GOOD, but I can do it! With more practice I think I would be fine

I'm not really sure? I'm not really guilty about any of my pleasures because they're all pretty vanilla? In my household it's definitely mayo though. It depends on the puzzle! I like logic and math puzzles, and mysteries are fun as well, but a jigsaw is something I'll only really do if I'm with friends or exceedingly bored

i checked out enhypen’s given-taken too and tbh i was kinda pleasantly surprised. i expected that it would be another in the long line of boy group debuts that had the same sort of vibe and didnt stick in my head at all.... and like... i mean okay, it kinda was............. but it did that better than a few of the other 2020 bg debuts ive heard hahaha. overall, it’s not something i’ll listen to more, probably, but if i check out more stuff from them in the future i’ll go into it with a bit higher expectations than i would for some of the others. again tho, like, i wasnt blown away or anything. i just felt like more of it was working than i was expecting.

i think my favorite 2020 bg rookie is probably cravity, just because i like their song flame. lol. their debut song was alright, but eh. flame’s kinda neat though. shrug.

i dont hate boy groups lol. it’s just that all the boy groups i like were already pretty well established by the time i got into them, and none of the bgs who have debuted in the time that ive been into kpop stand out to me. not really, anyway. or if they do, i just dont happen to be into them. like i would say that a group like txt does stand out, but they just dont really appeal to me. most of the bg debuts i can think of though... dont really stand out to me. theyre all brooding, dark, bland color palettes... or if theyre energetic songs, then the hiphop in them is noisy in a way that doesnt work as well for me as i wouldve wanted it to, lol. i love a good noisy instrumental, but there’s an art to it. it’s not just something you can tack on to an already-complete song. you have to build the song around it right from the get-go. that’s why your average noisy boy group doesnt compare to a group like nct lol. you cant just remove the noise from an nct song and have the song still work, its integral. you could remove the noisy drop from treasure’s debut song though, or tone down the noise in mcnd’s songs, and they wouldnt have changed that much. you can’t de-noise kick it or punch though lmao. it’s an art.

anyway, where’s all the color? where’s the excitement? where’s the catchiness? when i watch some of these bg music videos, i feel like the reaction they want me to have is to be super attracted to these tall, dark, and handsome boys. the song almost feels like an afterthought sometimes. you could cite a lot of examples where that’s not the case, i know, but still, i get that impression from more songs than i should. i just dont tend to get a lot of personality from these songs. or if i do, it’s the same personality as the others lol. the vibe i get from mcnd’s ice age, treasure’s boy, enhypen’s given taken, cravity’s break all the rules, too’s magnolia, etc... like... they all have differences of course, but you know what i mean right? those are along a similar sort of line and aesthetic. i wouldnt necessarily get any of those songs confused for any of the others, but if all i did was listen to those songs over and over, i would probably feel a little claustrophobic. that’s all i’m saying.

compare them with the girl group debuts of 2020. weeekly’s tag me, cignature’s nun nu nan na, aespa’s black mamba, redsquare’s colorfull, secret number’s who dis, and stayc’s so bad... those songs could not be more different. there’s like a little bit of overlap here and there, and you could attribute some of that to just overall trends in kpop in 2020, but for the most part... not only would i not get any of them confused for the others, but listening to those songs back to back gives maybe too wide a range of vibes, like idk if they would even fit together haha. weeekly tag me and aespa black mamba are like polar opposites.

like, i’m not crazy right? it’s not just that i prefer girl groups to boy groups, it’s also that there’s just more diversity in girl groups. right? or am i just blinded by my preconceived notions?
