i dunno if this is a popular one but i really love the grappling harnesses from 2012!! i fell in love with them when it was introduced in the insecta trifecta ep in season 4, i looooove the way that whole fight scene was choreographed. it was so smooth and fluid it was just awesome! plus they look cool with the fingerless gloves and bands on their arms n thighs.... just overall Very Cool

Joel i stuck pretty close to his actual skin but added a bunch of scars because i felt like he'd be the type to get a bunch of scars and proudly show em off

etho i was struggling with slightly because i never really make new designs for him haha

im happy with the finished product though! and the peg leg is because of that one comment he made in last life about dreaming he was a pirate with a spyglass and a peg leg. i started watching his pov recently and only after i made this design did i see that bit lmao

etho's eye(patch) is very important. as is that amulet hanging off of joel's belt

i changed etho's headband in for a bandana because i thought it looked more pirate-y

also im a sucker for vests man

eyepatch etho is very real and i love it

i wanna make joel look much more animalistic with features such as claws, sharp canines, weird eyes and such, but i didn't focus on those here because i wanted their colours + outfits down pat first

i will probably change the belts/buckles up but i think it's funny that theyre matching tbh. destined to be soulmates.

you best believe he has extra legs now! this makes him an anomaly in the industry and grew his popularity.

all of his outfits are like those dumb, tacky sexy halloween costumes. his most used persona is a sexy mafia boss.

he equates his self-worth to his sex appeal and all of his outfits are normal things made 'sexy'

he is more built than he is in the show because i felt like it

spider mandibles and abdomen! for fun! also extra eyes and cool spiderweb eyelashes

also kept his little BANG! gun from one of his earlier designs because i love it so much

also completely unrelated but i just now realized that both angel and molly have drug-related names and i just think that's genuinely so smart.

Sir Pentious - He/him, cis man, straight

just realized that the transparency on his tail is weird so just pretend it's intentional texture shh!

didn't really change his design tbh. i kind of already like it! i just wanted to make him look more cartoon-villainy.

basically just a redraw in my own style

one thing i think he deserves though are silly little mad-scientist swirly glasses.

Cherri Bomb - Any pronouns, bigender, unlabeled

gave them a cyber goth look! i think that she definitely deserved to be more punky.

i wanted everything abt her to be super asymmetrical. i honestly love the different shoe concept that she has in her original design but bro deserves two shoes of the same height so she's not tripping over herself constantly.

the dreads(?) end in a fuse shape because i think that's SUCH a fun reference to her love for pyrotechnics. i tried to include as much explosion shapes as i could.

lots of piercings! stretched septum, stretched ears, snakebites, double nostril, you name it, she probably has it.

also gave her more freckles! she reminds me of freckled strawberry lemonade and idk why. also just thought lime green was such a pleasing accent color for her and i kind of dig it

she's still got her cool goggles and is a badass pyromaniac

Mimzy - She/her, cis woman, straight

my god i have so many qualms with mimzy's original design!!!! i need her to be more glamorous! more fun!

i decided to go a COMPLETELY different route with the colors this time. she is COOL colored now. spooky!

a lot of hazbin sinners are based on specific animals or insects, and i find it confusing that she has no cohesive theming. i decided to take some liberty and make her peacock themed!

i thought this really fit with her glamorous and extravagant nature.

i also wanted to make her hooked nose more prominent, and also give her the awesome feather boa she deserves

i was super scared abt changing the colors so drastically at first, but i absolutely love how she turned out. im also just a sucker for peacock theming though

For her dress, Im not even done with it. I wanna add patterns that represents her and the kingdom but idk how to execute it outfit wise atm. Plus, I wanna fix some problems I have with the dress, mainly the middle and top part as well since it really reminds me of FS! Asha and I dont really want that and wasn't trying to go for that 😭

The hair was pretty fun ngl. I got to see a ton of styles in box braids and they're all really pretty :D. I simply went for the pulled back box braids since I thought it fit her well design wise.

The crown was the easiest. I was just simply looking at crowns from medieval times and I kinda got reminded of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, And the Wardrobe. Specifically the ending where the kids got their crowns.

I felt like it just fit her design wise. But that probs just me being a sucker for flower crowns right now smh 🤦‍♀️

Going back to the dress, I was heavily looking up Spain Outfits from medieval times including some other ones, like the French outfits for example, mainly as inspriation for the outfit so I can come up with my own design of a dress for Asha :D

The rest of the dress kinda came from my pencil, I was just sketching until the design looked right to me and then was like: YES haha

I did look at her early concept version's of Asha as well, but it was only for her hair, since it is always the hair I have trouble with

(plus this is one of my fav styles I see Asha in from the art book lol)

Idk if this will be her ACTUAL FINAL design, but ig it is a part of the process of my overthinking :')

Just saw your pinned post and I am begging you I need more. I am a sucker for magical warrior (my gender neutral term for magical girl) AU's. And seeing as the warriors will be hotguy and cuteguy is making me just Squeal with excitement/joy. Now for some questions.

1) Are Grian and Scar's Warrior names actually cuteguy and hotguy because that would be awesome.

2) Can I expect the stereotypical, hotguy, and cuteguy looks for their magical armor/outfit

3) What are their weapons and magical abilities (exa. Can grian summon wings to fly. Is Scars weapon a boy and dose he get unlimited arrows.

4) You know, those like mini bosses. The ones who are in charge of collecting bad energy or whatever in magical warrior shows the. ones who make the things the warriors fight. Is Pearl and those other two whom I don't remember the name of going to become such people.

my current idea is that their powers change along with their outfits, but the one constant is scar has long range weapons and grian has short range weapons (an excuse to potentially give scar a gun and grian boxing gloves, I just think thats funny)

Since you’re looking for Andreil AU ask for inspiration I have one.

Neil and Andrew as the Suicide Squad(only the first one) Joker and Harley Quinn. I know people mostly write it the opposite way but Neil as the Joker makes more since to me. Neil with a maniacal smile carved into his, a past no one not even him probably actually knows, a dangerous insane man with a death toll, a fondness and skill with knives and a joy of reeking havoc; it just all makes since to me. As for Andrew I imagine instead of being took in by Nicky Andrew and Aaron are adopted by Bee after Andrew kills Tilda and Andrew decides to get a doctorate in psychology mostly to fuck with Aaron about also being Dr Minyard or Dr Minyard-Dobson but also to honor Bee. I can also see Andrew deciding to get himself assigned to Neil out of pure curiosity and interest(basically canon) and I also hc Andrew as being into gymnastics so it all works out. Also Andrew and Neil doing all the Jarley moments from the movie especially the “but will you live for me?” acid jump moment. And Andrew wearing the gold dress with his hair in shoulder length Hollywood curls dancing in that cage in Neil club during that scene in the Joker’s club *chefs kiss*. I also tend to hc Andrew as femme so I imagine him in Harley’s outfits with long hair and makeup but up to you on how you draw him if I’m first. Also Andrew and Neil are definitely in a healthy relationship unlike Joker and Harley and Neil isn’t abusive to Andrew of course. Basically I just love to imagine Neil and Andrew as co-dependent murder husbands(or husband and wife with Andrew as the wife) and them being the King and Queen of Gotham fits the bill deliciously.

I fucking hate the older suicide squad movies. And i dislike the how the joker and Harley look so so much but im a huge sucker for their designs in the comics. So I made it more of a comic inspired piece rather than one based off the movies.

I love the constant of Neil as the joker and Andrew being Harley (but not toxic as fuck like Harley and the joker) thanks for the ask so much.

a while ago i tried my hand at giving amy what i thought would be a good design for her soulcalibur 7 appearance. she ended soulcalibur 6 about to embark on a journey to go and find raphael, i think it would make the most sense to give her an outfit that conveyed that she was traveling. i gave her a few leather components because i feel like those make her a little bit more battle ready, and it would be a good contrast from the very aristocratic dresses she normally wears. im a huge sucker for the musketeer aesthetic so i added a shoulder cape, a waist sash, and a feather hat. i tried to keep the roses and skulls motif going as well by incorporating them into her hat and her shoulder cape. the patterns featured were used in her soulcalibur 6 design. i also decided to let her hair down as a reference to viola. i made this a few years ago so i might try my hand and recreating this but we shall see

following that last ask; what are some of your favorite things in character design? either to draw or just to see

nothing here should come as a surprise but ill give a short list of a few things from the top of my head!!

visually i LOOOVE LOVE LOVE designs that have furs or fluffy bits in the outfit in some way!! also a big fan of the short shorts + big boots combo and flowy sleeves + wrist accessories, as well as pearls for jewelry, which are all things you can see in my sona design!! (as well as my favourite colour of course LOL)

beyond that, i ADOOOORE drawing poet shirts (shirts like these)

and designs with flowing fabrics or layered fabrics!! also a huge huge fan of intricately detailed designs with lots of moving parts and accessories (always a sucker for gold or other metals), designs with complex or unique hairstyles, character designs with minimal but explicitly non human features like horns or wings, and designs with very distinct shapes to their silhouettes!!

in broader terms i also adore high fantasy/fantasy designs and designs based on historical or vintage fashions, typically from the last 200 years or so. colour wise, i think any colours can look good in a character design if applied correctly but im heavily biased towards designs with jewel tones, specifically deep vibrant shades of red and/or purple (secret life scar was made for MEEEEEEE!!!!! /j)

not at all a comprehensive list and this is very fashion focused (as it always is for me) & i definitely forgot some things but i think you can probably see evidence of at least a few of these in my designs lol :DD

Tsukkishima Kei:

while he's not as passionate about fashion as you are, he likes seeing you be so happy and passionate about it

he drops simple compliments on certain outfits, makeup or nails every now and then.

he would also let you do very simple makeup on him, sometimes. he would make you work for it though, but he definitely loves spending time with you like that

he carries your stuff whenever your purse is too small and always lets you borrow his jacket if you get cold or wanna cover up a bit

he goes shopping with you and gives genuine opinions when you ask him. again, he might not know much about makeup or fashion, but he definitely tries to think about whatever you're showing him and gives you his honest thoughts, which are often actually helpful.

he also definitely spoils you and buys you anything you ask for if you smile bright enough but don't bring that up cause he'll get embarassed and nervous about it

loves watching you do your own makeup and outfits, he thinks its endearing how much thought you put into it

he does try to learn about the stuff you like though, and has a pretty good grasp on what your style is– so he always gets you the best gifts and sends you lots of pictures of stuff he thinks you'd like.

he does NOT like the fact that you pierced yourself and scolds you everytime you bring it up cause he got so worried about it

jellicle lineups; part 1/4

hi catsblur ! today i am presenting to you the fruits of my labor. my own little versions of the jellicle cats; obviously based on the replica designs With Fun Little Twists ! such as, they are not naked. ramble below the cut, both on designs and some personal thoughts on the characters

these designs are very much first-draft, subject to change, blah blah. you will very likely be seeing me drawing them differently if i post more of them. i just. urrbhhh. i had 2 draw them....

and the clothes ! even though they're very feline i draw them a bit too human-y for the nakedness to not look consistently weird. i will be drawing them closer to the stage designs in some instances but for rn. clothes. it was a fun exercise in character design too

the kittens are all young adults, think 18-20 ! as much as i love headcanons like demeter being sillabubs mother, it shrimply will not work out timeline-wise. so headcanons like that will be delegated to like... siblings and stuff

victoria | 🍧 💌 🩰

i started out with victoria's design not only because of her being the Main Kitten, but because she has such a concise and clear aesthetic to me. she actually started out with a simple pastel brown dance practice fit before i decided that i wanted to make the outfits ornate(ish) and ended up with a proper ballerina getup

i also quite like when victoria is not just solid white with some grey (love ones that are more yellow or brown) so i colored her fur with some blue and pink-ish tones not only to add more depth but to resemble the trans flag LOL

and i wanted to try something different with making her a bit more lavender than baby pink. i also based her overall look on obc victoria, portrayed by cynthia onrubia :^]

to move on to character interpretation, i think victoria is partially deaf and mute. she primarily communicates through dance. as one of the oldest kittens she'd be 19 in human years

plato's design doesnt stray too far from his standard replica design but i tried to add my own flair . i tried to keep the creepy porcelain doll aesthetic going w their face added some more depth like some other designs with different colors and bold face stripes

i also really like the outfit i chose for them. the flower in their hair and on their shirt is a peony which is a popular wedding flower :") because im a sucker for platoria and very much subscribe to the idea that the ball we see is their funny cat wedding in a way

the outfit is based on standard ballerino costumes but i tried to stray from it with the silky half-skirt thing and pointe shoes. lets go queer cats lets go

i think plato is also very quiet and that's why he and victoria were so drawn to each other. i also quite like the idea that he was a bit of a troubled stray before he found the jellicles. they would be 20 in human years

electra |⚡🥭 🔔

boy i STRUGGLED with electra's clothes i struggled so hard. i think i'm happy with what i ended up with though—i originally gave her the babydoll dress that sillabub has (inspired by artsed electra) but figured that i wanted at least one of the girls to be more tomboyish/butchy. thank you to that one production which apparently had electra be one of the raffish crew and get in on some of the boys' choreography

im very happy with what i did with her fur colors as well. silly little tortoiseshell :] its based on a nonrep but i have no idea which one. enjoy her freckles too

i think electra deserves to be a little spunky. [whispers] i also think shes bombalurinas little sister. she'd be 18 in human years

i needed at least one cat with a circus aesthetic. say hello to my magnum opus: jacked tumbler acrobat etcetera. it was only a matter of time until someone said fuck it and let one of the girls perform lifts and stuff. this is mostly because ive always really liked how shes usually the cat to do the flying trapeze bit and wanted to push it further

i also struggled SO EXTREMELY HARD with making her colors look nice and makeup distinctive but i figured it out in the end—thank you obc cettie for the mismatched eyeshadow and such. i also wanted to give a cat a short bob type of head fur/hairstyle and she fit the bill

nothing much about specific character notes other than like... i want to make her related to some of the cats but cannot for the life of me figure out who 2 assign. also she'd be around 19 in human years, a couple months younger than vic

sillabub | 🌻 🧋 🎼

i think of all of these little fellas sillabub is my favorite. several elements are balanced in her design—the standard jemima with a darker/reddish palette, the more softer and lighter sillabub design, the red eye patch from il sistina jemima, and the overall aesthetic of obc jemima with the big hair and wide, deepset eyes

i've seen her typical design critiqued by some people and wanted to incorporate those critiques by making her look less similar to demeter/bombalurina, adding more red to her body fur, and making her makeup more distinct and less... wooo girl give us nothing. and i included the squiggly on her collarbone

i also really REALLY love her overall aesthetic of sweet kindhearted girl NAMED AFTER A DEMON WITH SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG COLORING AND GIGANTIC SPIKED COLLAR !!!! so i decided to push it by making the collar definitely too big for her, giving her a slightly "edgy" outfit and making her hair resemble devil horns

as for character stuff, i think she has magical powers though i haven't developed exactly What they are yet. beyond her sweet exterior they trouble her. [whispers] i also think shes demeters little sister. she would be 18 in human years, a few months younger than electra and tumblebrutus

pouncival | 🌱 🩹 🍵

i struggled with pouncival's clothing design like i did electra's because i didn't go into drawing him with a particular gimmick in mind. but i think i'm happy with the casual formal look. it makes him look like such a kind young man even if he's a little shit

i did have a lot of fun trying to make his makeup distinctive from tumblebrutus'—so many fellas with brown eyepatches ! so his colors are more dark and striking. i also tried to make him look less like Typical Cis Man by giving him a bit of black lipstick

enjoy his freckles too

but like. i think hes literally such a little cis guy. nothing else for me to add for my specific interpretation of him it's all laid out. this guy fucking loves rocket league, fishing and chess. he'd be 19 in human years

tumblebrutus | 🎡 🥊 🍦

SWEET TUMBLEBRUTUS. i think drawing him here gave me a soft spot for him. with his outfit mirroring cettie's i didn't much struggle with that. his colors are also based on obc tumblebrutus

when i was first conceptualizing my own versions of the cats i wanted at least one of them asides from grizabella to have wavy fur. and idk what it is, maybe it's the lack of content for him, but i was really drawn to the idea of curly tumblebrutus!

i wanted their design to be distinctive from pouncival's so i made their colors softer, kinda watercolor-y. OH AND THEIR FUR IS ALSO MEANT TO BE A LITTLE TRANS FLAG COLORED

as for character, i think he is also a bit troubled, as a son of grizabella's. you heard me, people. i'm probably the first person ever to headcanon that. he'd be 18 in human years

If you don't mind me asking, what inspired your designs for the LiB human forms? Why did you give them the looks that you did?

I love this question!! I'll explain a bit of my design process. (Be prepared, it is a long explanation!)

First and foremost, I wanted to retain their color schemes, but sort of "normalize" them in a sense. The lords dress very bright and wacky, and I wanted to keep that but also make them look like someone you could just pass on the street. So, the first thing I did was assign them natural hair colors. A more natural blonde for Tinky, ginger for Wiggly (because I found it funny), etc etc..

I also tried to make their clothes more "believable". You dont really see a lot of people walk around in shiny, brightly saturated, monochromatic outfits in everyday life. Personally, I think we should normalize that, but whatever. So, I broke up and spread the color throughout their outfits. Pokey still has blue, but its only in his pants and tie. Tinky still has orange and a little bit of red, but he doesnt have those neon yellow matching jacket and pants combo like in canon. Basically the first step in designing them was making them look.. kinda normal!

Then the second part! Relating them to my pre existing lords designs!

Disclaimer!! These are old designs from months ago, and Ive been slowly redesigning them so they aren't exactly accurate to how I envision the Lords!

But anyway, then comes the easy part, making them look like my interpretations of the lords! Face shape, nose type, hair texture, body type, etc etc. I did accidentally make Tinky less husky as a nerd, which wasnt intentional, so when I draw him later he will be a bit stockier!

As for exact design choices for each of the Nerds In Black, this is how I designed them!

Pokey

His outfit is meant to resemble Paul's outfit by the end of tgwdlm. Its pure irony and I am a sucker for that! It also feels like something Pokey would wear casually: formal but not too formal. The little heels are purely for show. In the future I'd probably draw him with chunkier heels. The little streak in his hair comes in a later chapter!

Tinky

I really channeled nerd energy into his design. The short sleeved button down over a t-shirt speaks to me. Also gave him a watch because I felt it was the easiest way to allude to who he is. Plus, it matched the shape language of his glasses! (Which alludes to his goggles in canon) When I draw him in the future I am drawing him a bit chubbier and with messier hair. Also, ive never written about it or drawn it, but Tinky still has an overbite!

Wiggly

He is actually pictured in an outfit that will show up in the next few chapters! It's a dressier outfit than what he woke up in. The inspiration comes from a funny place actually: Grace's outfit. White shirt, cardigan vest, a little ascot resembling tentacles, its just a slightly more masculine (and green) version of her outfit. And this serves a purpose! For now, I'll say that Grace and Wiggly have a surprising amount of things in common, and they are sort of like foils to each other. It was also important to make him look non threatening, including his lanky frame and freckles. Basically, i wanted to emphasize his insecurities, the parts of himself that he believes make him weak, so that he can't avoid facing them head on!

Nibbly

I went a little silly for this one. PERSONALLY, and this is my opinion, I dont.. really care for Nibbly's outfit in canon, but I tried to keep the skirt, pigtails, and overall feminine expression. I feel like the dark sweater contrasted well with the skirt and peppermint inspired accents. Honestly, im not sure if this one is one of my favorites and I may rework it a little, but I still think its cute! Plus he has a little gap between his teeth! Also, the corset was a fun idea I had, and I think he will get it in a later chapter. The strings on the corset are supposed to resemble sharp teeth too.

Blinky

Being fr I have no idea what i was thinking with the polka dots on the hoodie. Maybe like.. eyes? Definitely going to rework that. Anyway, I wanted Blinky to be dressed very modestly. Its sort of meant to represent that he prefers to watch and not be watched. The face mask also serves that purpose, plus obscuring his mouth. I also kept his glasses, but made them a necessity. Its an added weakness, and worse, its a weakness that was once his strength.

In conclusion...

Overall, I think Pokey, Wiggly, and Tinky are my strongest designs that have a lot of thought into him! I will be changing a feel small things in the future, but for now I think they are fine.

THE LITTLE THANNGGGG YEAHHH \o/

Design- easily one of the cutest designs in the whole roster adn like. well fuckin yeah of course, its laetitia's. iam always a sucker for stupidly oversized bells. also im not entirely sure where the lighting effects stem from or why, but they are Verrrry very charming. reminds me kind of a kids scribbly crayon drawing, affectionately :] she seems to mostly just be In Laetitia's Outfit, which i cant complain too much about. im afraid i dont quite understand what The Goop on her dress and hat is? but perhaps it is just Ambient Goop of the Violence Variety. good for her, honestly. th extra eyes on the dress is a verrrry good look to add to th mild unsettling thread of her whole thing.

Theme- ill be honest, laetitas actually one of the abnos i think ive got th weakest understanding of, comparatively speaking. i get a lot of surface level stuff, but actually digging in is a different story.. ''> > angelas throughline stems from the desire for connection and belonging-- and the odd doll-like look really pushes this home. though, with the way her dialogue is pitched, i cant help but wonder if she herself sees the Others as the dolls, rather than herself. "Just what compelled me to bring you lot along, I must wonder. I couldn’t simply leave you all to rot…" in the same way one would pick up an old lost toy on the road. (thinks about that...) something about trying to act the part and hold up that dance of amicability, to help soothe the people she cares about, only for it to tumble to pieces, inevitably, due to who and what it is she must be. but the line that sticks out most to me is the "Was it due to loneliness? I thought I never had attachment to such a feeling." i dont quite have the mind to draw a conclusion from it, but the entirety of her paints a very vivid picture im not quite sure i can piece together just yet. something very melancholic about the way she presents herself, which is interesting coming from laetitia. idk.

in conclusion, girl what did u Mean by this. what did she mean by this, specifically. i need t chew on it more. all in all a very very good amnge, i shrimply think that if you poked her i think shed make a squeaker toy sound. superb..

Maxine (Arlefuri kiddo)

finally decided its time to sit down and finish designing her! you may see this is just a sketch, as ive yet to finalize the colour scheme of her outfit, im still weighing my options. split bw black and lavender/ purple for the dominant colour. the former looks cool, but the latter prob fits her motif better. anyway, for now let me tell you a bit more abt her:

About Max (childhood):

due to Arlecchino often having to be away on Harbinger/ Fatui missions, Max was raised mainly by Furina. that said, Arle does try her best to be there for her daughter, spending time w her whenever shes free, and often brings Max little souvenirs from her travels.

while Max was a baby, Furina took a sabbatical from her directing work to raise her. she instilled in Max an appreciation of the arts, with her skillful reenactments, and puppet shows of various plays and stories. once Max is a bit older, Furina starts taking up jobs again, leaving her child in Neuvillettes care at the Palais Mermonia, and picking her up at the end of the day. Neuvi doesnt mind, as Max is a well-behaved kid and either brings books w her to read, or draws while shes there. Sedene and the other melusines take a shine to her, making sure Max never has a shortage of snacks and tea throughout the day.

About Martin:

Martin is her loyal canine companion. she found him as a puppy, tangled in some fishing nets. of course she begs her parents to take him in, and they acquiesce on the condition that he is her responsibility now. since then Martin never leaves her side, even accompanying her on Hearth missions

About Max (hobbies): Max really likes nature, and ever since she found Martin stuck in nets carelessly left behind by some fishers, she took to cleaning litter in her free time.

Doll review time!

today I received via target the Sunny and Luna Madison two-pack, which i had had my eye on for a while but decided i would wait on a sale for them. and they went on sale recently for 50% off! they were 25 dollars (plus shipping, as my target was unable to let me reserve one for in-store pickup so i had to order them shipped) but in my opinion a very good price for both of them!

i really appreciate that RH always has the color-coordinated stands. saves me from having to get cheap generic stands every two seconds like with mh LMAO. also, Sunny is actually my first Rainbow high doll, since all my other girls are shadow high! i also noticed that shadow high has slightly different stands with spikes on them as compared to the RH ones.

here's the back of their hair.

Sunny's hair is CRUNCHY. i'm talking rock solid. for this elaborate hairstyle she has though, i understand why. Even though i could probbaly at least get the four dangling curls looking nicer with a wash and re-curl, for now at least i'm content to leave her as-is. Luna's hair is significantly less crunchy and more in line with the typical amount of gel for this curl pattern. out of the box it is in two distinct halves, but i separted the curls a bit to give her some more volume.

now, for some individual details.

I'll start with Sunny! In my opinion, she's the clear winner of the pack, and one of the cutest RH designs ever. the reason i was interested in this pack was for her adorable outfit, as well as the fact I like this Luna outfit more than her basic doll.

first up, her face! Sunny's very cute, but what struck me the most with this doll is her hair clips! she has 5, and theyre all different colors. combined with her shooting star earrings, there's a lot to love. I'm very fond of the yellow and rainbow color scheme of this doll.

Her shoes! yep, heel crocs. and leg warmers. it's so ridiculous and over the top, just like everything about this outfit. they're perfect.

I took her jacket off to kook at what she's wearing under it. the little decal on the shirt is surrounded with embroidered safety pins. cute!

the skirt is two layers. the pain white skirt, and the clear plastic with stickers layer over that. i love the pocket details, though they aren't seen much with the shirt and jacket over them. i do like to see that they're there though!

one thing that struck me with this doll is without the jacket, her outfit is actually not very yellow at all! it's mostly white

as for that tiny jacket, it's as pretty and detailed for its size as i'd espect out of rainbow high. tiny ruffle details, pockets, and drawstrings. on the back is a little cartoon sunny with some more rainbows, and a sun and moon that match her hairclips. also, a little cameo of the bear bag.

I love the decora (i think, correct me if im wrong im not super knowledgeable about jfashion cultures) influences on her. everything has a cute and childish vibe, but while altogether its definitely something i could see one of my more fashionable friends wearing around our college campus. a 10/10 sunny (i think she's definitely the designer's favorite)

next up, Luna!

Luna is quite pretty as well, and im a sucker for the series one grayscale dolls. they're such a unique concept! however, I feel like she just lacks that last bit of punch that sunny has. maybe because she doesn't have quite as many acccesories? maybe some hairclips for her too, or a necklace.

here's her face! I love her face in this doll, I'm pretty sure the mold is identical to sunny's (they are twins, after all) but their makeup makes them look really different to me imo. epectually from a distance, Luna looks a bit more mature. in person as well, her eyes are quite clearly a lovely shade of purple, (that isn't too intense as to ruint the grayscale effect) though it seems like it doesn't come off well in the pictures.

not as many details to show off for Luna, but here's a close-up on the shoes. my roommate said she recognized them so im sure theyre in referece to some designer shoes (as RH/SH often does) that i'm not familiar with.

nothing particularlt special from the back. but you can see the little attachement loops on the belt to the skirt a bit better.

he'res her bag, though it's not as fun as sunny's bear bag, it's quite cute, and light enough that it can be held up by Luna with the small handle, or worn on the shoulder instead. it also opens, which i always like to see.

Final thoughts: This is my favorite of the twin 2-packs out of RH/SH so far, I think they're gorgeous and well worth the sale price. Sunny in particular is once again proving to be of the most consistently well-designed characters of the whole line (i love her Fantastic Fashion look as well, and while yellow + rainbows is basically always sunny's thing, I think this is the best execution of it out of all her dolls. I also really prefer this luna to her series 1 doll, where the chrome is more contained and it looks more like an actual outfit you might see in a high school. happy to add both of them to my collection!
