Apparently after the Cass review (the awfully condescending and untrue and bias report made by a person affiliated with LGB alliance, of all transphobic organisations), the main provider of private gender-reassignment surgeries for trans people in the UK (The Spire hospitals group) are revising their policy to determine if 18-24 year olds are old enough to have those surgeries

Patients aged 18-24 awaiting surgery dates are to be informed of the decision by the early July

(info has been replicated by multiple people and allegedly confirmed by a matron of the Spire hospital in Hull)

I'm 23 and wanted to have my top surgery next year. I literally can vote, can buy a house, can take out loans for the rest of my life, I can join the army, I can be financially and emotionally responsible for a child and could have been for the past 5 years. Routinely at work I make decisions that can save or destroy people's life and I'm about to be even more responsible for people's lives in a few months when I change my job from nursing to paramedics.

How am I not old enough to pay 8k for surgery that I want and that will help me have a better quality and satisfaction of life? How am I not mature enough to make decisions about my own body?

How is it that cis people can get breast implants at the age of 16-18 and I can't get a life-bettering top surgery?
