I'm genuinely devastated about how unfairly TDP and the team are getting treated. Years of work in the game to get it shut down after four months in a one day notice is miserable and cruel. Shutting it down two days before S7 is miserable and cruel. Netflix is miserable and cruel. I seriously hope the crew finds better partners‚ with the main series, with the game and with the books (because fuck schoolsatic as well honestly)

I cant- I'm actually going to cry. I swear this always happens to the best shows. Maybe because they're not as generic and as appealing to a larger audience than other shows, but at least they're interesting. I'm.so sick of the same mediocre stories being told over and over again just packaged in a slightly different format, sure they're fine and they pass the time but wouldn't it be so much better if instead of 'passing the time' more shows were created for small unique audiences to enjoy with their full hearts? maybe they aren't as easy to find or made as fast, but when the right audience does find them, they impact that community just that little bit harder. As a species, we rely too heavily on empty plot lines and mediocre writing to pass the time because it's easier than living for ourselves. We care more about that than the media itself, which has led to entertainment companies creating 'easy' or bland shows instead of putting care into their creations to feed into our unhealthy habit.

I love media and how people can express themselves and share their interests and experiences through so many different forms but I just wish that the success of a show or any other creative work wasn't so heavily based on marketing to a wider range of 'customers' and more about the passion and connection that the right people can find through them.

Anywayyyss I don't know how I got into that rant all I really wanted to say is that I'm sad my silly little Greek mythology show got cancelled. I was really excited for season two </3 and ik that's probably to make room for a shitty boring show that a bigger amount of people might click on and netflix can profit more off of.

I haven't posted in a long time.

My anxiety and depression have backslid a lot in the last year. My social anxiety and agoraphobia are particularly out of control.

I have fallen out of producing fandom content, frankly because I have been too afraid to. Fandoms have become a lot more charged than they were when I was younger. I keep trying to get into new fandoms that I hope are less problematic only to stumble across the same patterns, up to and including someone being harassed and told to 'kys' repeatedly over fandom drama to the point of ending their own life.

But being isolated is hard. I haven't stopped making content I just... Stopped sharing it. I don't really know what to do, or if any followers I have here are even still active. I got back into JoJo's and expected most of the discourse to be more 'gay vs not gay' type stuff but some parts are... Really, *really* bad. Worse even than KH. And inconsistent! Censoring myself to fit some fear mongering anti's agenda seems like an anathema, so I just haven't posted anything, even the stuff I have I know isn't problematic.

To me the 'right' thing to do would be to post anyway and stand up for a censorship free Internet and community, but I'm afraid that, especially right now, I just don't have the resilience.

I guess I'm asking people more in touch with a 2024 Tumblr what they think. If it's even worth it. What tools there are. I've spent half the day blocking hate in a tag and trying not to panic about it. As an actual abuse survivor, seeing some of these accusations fly over such inane things is just... Disheartening. Especially knowing my abusers will never be prosecuted, but I'm getting accused of those crimes by trying to cope through artistic expression.

Also if there is anyone interested in some of the 'problematic' ships I've tagged, please give me a ring. I might try finishing and posting some stuff after all of it will actually make people happy. But after seeing witch hunt posts calling for people to haze or blacklist certain crators? It's just... Really scary.

But I'm so tired of being alone.

One of my biggest gripes that have with show S&B is how they added the Crows. It was inevitably going to happen and I wasn't too displeased by the concept if it was done right. It was not. The show doesn't take any of these characters + backstories into consideration because explain to me why any of them, especially Inej, would be okay with kidnapping a young girl and simply selling her off for a check? Not even Kaz would be okay with that because he literally dropped a creep off a roof for being a creep. And them just suddenly being down to help Alina get away from the Darkling because he was holding her captive, even though that was technically the same thing they were going to do? It makes no sense. Don't even get me started on the mess that was them breaking into the Little Palace. This is how you end up getting takes such as people viewing them as the real villains more than the Darkling himself, like how!?
