Why are you blocked?

Well, I have hatred in my heart that I want to diminish,I simply have no time to hate,I have many tags blocked from view however...some of you don't tag your stuff appropriately so I end up seeing it it may be something I like or something that causes me a silent ire within me,so I block for my own mental health and I'm hopes one day this hatred goes away with time,or you are begging to donate for whatever reason, Sadly I don't like people begging nor have the funds to even donate

I hope this is ok and I’m not sure how to just like share it to your wall kind of thing tumbler is still kind of new to me. But the picture made me think of Curtis and Honey immediately and I hope it’s ok I shared it with you. Love there story and the playful Drabble you’ve done. I connected to that so much. My life if chaos at the moment and my bf has been a trouper and so supportive. It’s such a fine line between laughing at the bad stuff or crying and he’s held me when I cried and made sure I’m laughing too. Even if he’s a cheater and tickles..

Curtis x Honey Drabble

Your nose was stuck in a book, but not one of those fun ones you would become so invested in that Curtis often brought you tea and snacks after a few hours because you had forgotten.

This book was the newest teacher's handguide and it was reading as stiff as a stereo instruction manual. Already you had doodled along all the edges of the pages with random little pictures trying to keep yourself awake.

And the house was quiet, Curtis having left to help Grey and Edgar with a weekend project. So not even he could help distract you this time with it. So when you started humming along with the Halloween theme song, it clicked that the noise was coming from outside of the picture window. "What the hell?" You flung the book aside and got up from the couch to go peer outside.

Moving aside one of the gauzy curtains, you saw Curtis standing in the front yard, his black trench coat tails flipping in the bit of wind bustling the leaves around the yard among the Halloween decorations, above his head he was holding a cardboard sign reading "Horror Movies and Chill?" with a sketch of what looked like Micheal Myers peering around a bush. The music came from what looked like a dusty old tape player at his feet.

You waved quickly before bolting for the door and dancing out onto the porch. "Yes! Big giant YES!" You giggled as he let his arms drop the sign to tuck under his arm and reached to grab his boom box that was still doing the ominous theme song. "I can make us some snacks and pop some beers." You excitedly said while going down the stairs to meet him.

"No need Pretty Girl, already ordered us some takeout. You my Love just gotta get into comfier clothes than those. Although..." He leaned back a bit, smirking as his eyes fell down your teacher's outfit. "Keep on those stockings?"

"I will surprise you... Horror movies and just chill huh?" You tilted up to catch his mouth, sharing a kiss that you both grinned into.

"Cuddles too, all the cuddles Honey. Promise."

"Perfect, just what I was hoping for today, Curtis." You reached for the boom box's volume, turning it up when it switched to the Ghostbusters song, dancing away back up the stairs with a sway of your body, glancing at Curtis over your shoulder.

Curtis was right behind you, crowding you playfully through the door with a press of his body and the graze of his beard against your neck, making you tingle. Tonight was already so much better.

I need an option to highlight your username in big and bold so my brain understands that your favs and my brain has 0 overlap and idk any of those people. This keeps happening with just you on my dash and no one else. I remembering struggling with my life, during your vegas era (of vegaspete of kinnporshe). Like this is NOT about Las Vegas at all, but if you asked me what my brain ran off with in those 5 seconds, if left unchecked, you'd understand why I love having you in my dash so much. Scrolling super fast on tumblr with you on my dash is just briefly time traveling to another universe istg.

gotta say I didn't plan on diving into discourse on shrinking fandoms, but you're not the first person to bring this up, so just my two cents here.

#every time i see this - the chasm gets a little wider #and it hurts - as a 'creator' to see this #even with an older fandom such as j7 #buts its also telling of why new works have stagnated #a lot of consumers but not a lot of creators (inb4 its brought up about stop thinking of fanworks as content - its how i speak pls sit down) #even tho theres isnt much participation on this poll

So I get how it looks, and I have thoughts™️.

I've made this point in a reblog before, the "content creation" guideline goes something like 90-9-1: 90% consume, 9% interact, 1% produces. We're actually doing amazing when taking that as the average baseline. Especially considering that this fandom is a solid 30 years old!

My experience with the J7 Discord (and just paying attention to other people I know in fandom and my own behavior) has taught me that people dip in and out of fandom, it's asymmetrical not linear. There's never the same amount of people looking for content at one point, and that's ok - we still enjoy content that was made years ago, some of it is infamous. Especially in fandom, longtail content is super important.

I think the low-ish participation on the poll also shows an issue with platform-split/tumblr: people aren't all on the same platform. Some are on FB, Twitter, etc. Some aren't in social media fandom spaces at all. And tumblr itself has a bit of an interaction problem - I'm sure tons of people know creators they like but only one person tagged them - so it may be just an issue of distribution. I have a long list of creators I know of that just... aren't here. But I'd definitely ping them through whatever platform they're on about a challenge!

#when fanworks halt or slow down - all those consumers dip and flutter away to more active spaces #and now those remaining creators dont get as much interaction as before and kinda....dont want to put the effort in

Just from the perspective of running a literal J7 blog: People still like and reblog, the more content I post, the more they interact. So the interest in content (and new! content) is definitely there - which is a good thing. My bigger issue here is finding new content / sifting through old stuff to share. Of course, it may be less than before in sheer numbers - I can't really judge that.

#yes - create for yourself - but the dopamine rush of seeing someone tag/comment on your work is so fucking fulfilling #and i also understand that interests change - im a multishipper multifandom bullshit blog - that just happens #but its happens more when activity ceases on both ends

Yeah, I feel this - the interaction is so important because yes create for yourself but also made a thing and show the thing so please let people know what you think or that you saw it - it's just so human to want some feedback.

And also, as a fandom ages, I'd assume that the people in it age with it - so day to day responsibilities rise and keep people from being super active maybe, but they often come back to enjoy what has happened in the meantime.

#so as many creators say in posts - pls reblog and interact with content that you like/see #likes are fine but maybe billy joe mutual over there may like the content too - we wont ever know unless you fucking reblog it

I'm actually considering - based on the poll - to create some kind of challenge for the people that consume fanworks, whether it's a "create a collection of your favorite stories" or "share your favorite artwork" kind of challenge - but something that works with the people that love the content and helps them to give that love back to creators.

I’m a (fanfic) writer also! I love writing but I often struggle with coming up with ideas. I dont have a big following on tumblr (I dont publish my works here), which makes it difficult because I can’t really take reader requests.

I was wondering if you have any tips for coming up with writing topics when you’re stumped? Thank you, I really look up to your work.

Oh this is a fun message!! Ok sorry if i ramble, but i love talking about writing and craft! Im also gonna reblog a specific post of writing advice and encouragement that i adore.

I'd start with what's your favorite sort if fic to write - is it classic multi-chapter fics, oneshots, head canons? Which ones really stood out to you - what were their tropes, tags, the characters? Now, which of those you kind of liked, but something felt off? Was it the prompt, something in the plot, something in the characterization? And which ones peeved you so much you just had to click off - what about those annoyed you?

This will help you visualize what you look for in fanfic, and what sort of scenarios and characterization click with you. If you're writing a single character, that's much easier to work with than say, 10 (or 30~40 .... word to aspiring and new writing blogs ....... maybe give yourself a character limit orz........)

You'll find some characters come naturally to you, wether because they're your favorite or a character archtype you just "get". Some you'll love but still struggle with - I remember being so worried with writing Roose and Tywin from ASOIAF, because they're subtle and more complex. And honestly, I don't like my early work with them ... but I kept at it. You gotta keep at it. Now I'm pretty confident in writing them; it took a while to get there!

((Also I think all writers in general should consider what their strengths and flaws are - this can be hard to pin down objectively, especially after staring at your own work for hours! Think what your favorite parts of writing are. Which parts in your story are giving you that rush of excitement, and why? Which parts are you dreading to work on?))

I think some topics/scenes will jump at you and beg to be written, but it's annoying when you want to write your fav and you're drawing a blank. While requests can be great for this - I've gotten so many delightful ones - you also need to draw from your own creative well. So, how?

Reading other fic is a great inspiration. Don't be afraid to say someone directly inspired you - link to them and mention them! - and build off that. As I said earlier, what if you read a fic that had a great plot or scenario, buuuut you would've done something different? "What if" is a great starter. If you're writing reader insert stuff like this blog, draw from your own experiences in life. Or maybe there was something in the show/book/movie/etc that you really wanted to see, but it didn't happen. What if this character didn't die? What if this major event went differently? "What if" is the basis of all fanfic - besides smooching, that is.

(You can also take a prompt you read in one fandom fic and apply it to another! "Oh i love this reader insert story from Show A, how would my blorbos from Movie B respond in the same situation?")

And on that note, sometimes it's fun to write what personally comforts you and what's your personal fantasy. Requests revolving around family life and kids are easy because I love that shit, and it's something I'd think up on my own without prompting. Lists are great for this - what do you like to write best? What scenarios or characters are you curious about exploring? Brainstorm and make notes! Daydream! Discuss with other fandom friends! You don't have to sit down and chunk out a complete 2.5k+ word fic for every idea. Sometimes just the notes and brainstorming is enough, sometimes you'll wanna explore further.

I feel like most writers will understand that feeling when an idea just grabs them and they have to pursue it. Requests and suggestions are all well and good, but at the end of the day, write what grabs you. That's what you'll put your heart into and feel proud of. It may stay a 300 word drabble or sprawl into multiple chapters of madness, or fall somewhere in between - it's your fic!

I think of the playable characters in birth by sleep, ventus would be their favorite. Since it was new and just sitting in her book bag, she just told you to keep it

Mirio is the cutest boyfirend though-wherever your class is, he waits for you outside and walks with you until you have to go your seperate ways

So, as usual, he’s waiting for you outside the locker room, a wide grin plastered on his face

Once he sees you walk out of the doors, he’s already bounding over, his arms swinging cause hes always just so happy to see you 

“Hey sunshine!” he greets you like any other day, his voice just radiating happiness

Some days though, Mirio will kiss the top of your head as he grabs your hand and walks you to his class

Other days, he’s a little more bold, instead leaning down to give you a kiss on your lips as he snakes his hand around your waist

You can tell he’s feeling a little more *frisky cause he’s got this mischievous glint in his eyes

So you get on your tippie toes, leaning in to him and planting a quick kiss on his lips

But thats when Mirio gets confused- did you eat something?Is it cake? CInnamon roll? Cookie? But whatever it is, it tastes GOOD

“Sweetie, did you buy something from the vending machine?” he asks, a confused grin on his face as he eyes you

You laugh, not realizing that Mirio would be affected by your new chapstick too, 

“Oh no, its just a chapstick Niejire gave me, I think its cake batter flavored- do you like it?”

Mirio licked his lips , savoring the lingering flavor on his skin

So Mina, bless her little music crazed heart, somehow won a pack of tickets from a radio station to a new water park opening up not too far from UA

It was superrrrr expensive to get in, but the music station hooked all you guys up with VIP tickers, a private cabana, food, THE WORKS

You had been running around with the group all day

(except Bakugo- he either went to the lazy river or the surfing simulator thignie cause Kaminari said he would wipe out and wanted to prove him wrong)

Everybody else wanted to do everythingggg, from ride the craziest rides to trying all the food the park had

By the end of the day, you were completely beat and just wanted to rest

Mina was sitting beside you in  the cabana (again, thank you radio station for hooking some teens up!), just searching it for snacks the boys hadnt eaten

“Aww cmon, really?! We have chapstick but no food?!”

Your head instantly perked up at the sound- chapstick? God, you could deifnitely use some right now from all that chlorine and sun...

You asked Mina to toss you one, the pink skinned girl throwing you a tube as she grumbled about how “piggy” boys were

You checked the flavor on the tube, the fruits on the side label instantly telling you it was something tropical

As you were putting it on, the boys of Bakusquad were bounding up the steps, their feets covered in sand-

“Guess what?! We got Bakugo to go in the wave pool! Isnt that crazy! It had sand on the bottom, like a real beach-”

Kirishima was just gushing and super excited, Bakugo looking like a pissed off wet cat next to him

You sat up quickly, happy to see your boyfriend, his spiky hair all wet from the day and his boxers dripping

As Kirishima and Sero were messing with an extremely annoyed Bakugo, you went and grabbed the boys some towels, giving the last one to your boyfriend

“Aww thanks babe,” he gushed out, his hands grabbing the towel gingerly as he leaned to kiss you

But wait- you tasted- really sweet?

Kaminari pulled back slightly, a small smirk on his lips, cause damn, that tasted really good

“Did you eat some fruit or something? Cause you taste super yummy babe-”

You  pointed to your lips as you told him how Mina found some free chapstick lying around in the cabana

Kaminari just gave you this really blissed out stare as he sneaked one more peck from you- he was kinda wishing his friends weren't here, cause hed totally be making out with you with that yummy stuff on your lips...

“Do me a favor and dont take that stuff off, okay? Until we get back to the dorms,”

He sent you a small wink, weaving behind you inconspicously, and giving your bottom a playful pinch

You run out of the fabric, instantly feeling your whole body get drenched as you start twirling and laughing

Sero’s gonna be laughing, and now y’all playing a wierd game of tag

He catches you pretty quickly, his tape grabbing your waist and pulling you to him,,,

You instantly collide with his chest, your cheeks rosy from running around so much and your hands resting on his chest

Sero gives you the biggest grin, his finger under your chin and raising it to look at him

He laughs, placing a kiss on your lips-and omg why are you minty? and it feels soooo good to him, cause honestly mint isn’t a bad flavor-

You just laugh and tell him it’s some chapstick you got (imagine the mint eos U KNOW THE ONE)

His lips are parted a little, his eyes wider than usual cause he’s lowkey confused on how he liked that so much

But he send you another huge grin before he kisses you again-

Bakugo has ben practically forcing you to wake up at ungodly hours with him to train

He says its cause “youre getting weak” but really he’s a total simp for having such close contact with you

Also he’s a little brat and put his all into it  so you cant ever beat him, which boosts his ego for some reason?

“Hah, that really the best you got?” he scoffs down at you, his calloused hands pinning you to the ground as his body cages you in for the umpteenth time

Honestly, its hard to fight when your 1) annoyed about loosing and 2) have your hot as hell boyfriend pining you to the ground

But thankfully

THANKFULLY

He was starting to overheat, his breathe coming out in low pants as  strands  of hair began sticking to his forehead

You felt one of his palms begin to slip ever so slightly near you, and on instinct you knew you had to do something, you finally had an opening-

so you caused a distraction 

Your hands quickly flew to the nape of his neck, pressing his head down to your so you could kiss him square on the lips

Bakugo was completely confused in the best way possible- he didnt expect that to happen, but hell, hes not complaining-

until his lips start to tingle

“-the hell?!” he sputters out, his mind trying to figure out what was going on just before you successfuly flip him over, with you now on top

You stared down triumphantly at your boyfriend, not knowing how well that worked- until you noticed how shiny Bakugo lips look

He begins mashing his lips together, trying to rub it off since you had his hands pinned down

“The hell is on my lips? Agh, dont tell me its that weird ass lip stuff that supposed to make your lips bigger or something-’’

Ummmmm how does he know about lip plumping lip gloss? Question for a another day-

“Its chapstick silly,” you giggle, “-cinnamon”

Honestly, he’s gonna like it-this boy likes spicy things and the fact that “spicy” sensation came from his s/o....shoooottttt he is in love

But

Of course

He’s gonna act like it’s wierd or something, cause HES wierd

“Cinnamon? You couldn’t get something normal like cherry or grape?”

You scrunch up your nose, cause yeah your not for those flavors AT ALL, and Bakugo finds his chance

He quickly flips you over, your back now against the floor and his body on top of yours

“Cmon, baka don’t tell me thats seriosuly all you got-“

Don’t remind him that you were able to flip him over tho he’ll turn red and tell you to shut it

see, this is similar to my opinion. i wasnt going to say anything, but someone finally did, so now im going to speak my mind

first, moonshine, not cool. i understand that you were super attached to sob and whatever, but to not only make a post like that, but to also tag the blog it most relates to AND THEN claiming you dont know my nonrp blog is not okay. i was already pretty uncomfortable with you, but now i dont even want to associate myself with you. im done with you. im sorry if this seems rude or like an overreaction, but i dont want your characters to ever interact with mine ever again.

and mod bob. oh boy, bob. im not going to justify how you handled the situation initially. that was just... not cool. you were rude for no reason to so many people who were just trying to help you see the truth. but im not mad at you. im not. imma be honest, i dont really see a reason to stay mad at you. you apologized, and its clear that this whole situation is stressing you out and scaring you and making you feel like a horrible person. theres no reason to add fuel to the flames and stay mad at you. itd only made things worse.

i will say, though. the way some of you guys are treating him over this is awful. i get it, he made some pretty horrible mistakes, sure, but you also gotta keep in mind that most of us are kids here. we are kids who are somewhat socially inept and who all clearly have something going on in our brains that most people would not consider normal. i wasnt going to say anything about this before, but then one of you had the audacity to send him an ask that said "its okay, just dont let it happen again." like, what??? so, what im hearing is, the rest of us now have to approve who hes friends with and who he believes and how he initially responds to situations? is that what youre saying? i mean, its not exactly his fault he fell for moonshines lie. i mean, what if moonshine hadnt been lying? suddenly, all of us who were saying he was would be assholes and mod bob would be the good person here.

all im saying is that we all take a step back for a moment and try to see this from all angles. cause, from my point of view, this whole thing has been a train wreck. but from, say, bobs point of view, this thing started as a horrible thing, to hear that one of his online friends has died, which quickly turned out to be false. he was lied to, and fell for it, and now he thinks hes a horrible person. which, by the way, is NOT a good thing.

so, to mod moonshine, i hope you find somewhere else where you can find some online friends, cause in my opinion, what you did is unforgivable and i dont want to share a community with someone who does things like that. to mod bob, im sorry about everything that has happened to you and im sorry you feel as though youre a horrible person when you arent, but you still have a lot to answer for and a LOT you need to fix. and to all the mods, please, for the LOVE OF GOD, think about what youre going to say to someone before you say it, especially something so finite as "im never going to forgive you," because chances are, you will, and then youll regret saying it, and suddenly everything is awkward.

Look, I wasn’t gonna do one’a these, and tbh I am so busy so it’ll be short. But I understand that my opinion holds a tiny bit of weight, so here goes.

Alright, just biting the bullet, that was a very reprehensible decision, Moonshine. And to be honest, with how…divided this community has become, I saw something blowing up from a mile away. Did I expect this? No. But I knew something was gonna happen eventually.

In my opinion, the situation was handled…not the best. Which makes sense, because at the end of the day we”re teenagers on tumblr rping our characters.

and I’m not gonna advocate for Sun/moonshine to be banned or not to be banned. Because I’m not the one who gets to decide that, I don’t have that power.

Same with Bob. But to you, Bob, I will say…you’ve been on thin ice for a little while now for various reasons. It’s not my place to decide either, though. Please just…think before you speak. Please.

holy eff, that was 2 years ago? im so sorry, im absolutely unaware of the passage of time XD but yep! that's me! it wasn't very hard to find you tbh, i went to overlord tag one day and i found your art. this time i simply searched for demiurge and was pleasantly surprised that you changed your blog again (more like returned to your old one but yeah). don't worry tho, no need to hide from me! im a good anon, and a person you knew quite good (and also a person who, i think, triggered you once? with some depressing themes. im so deeply sorry for that) glad to hear you have everything under control now! but im more glad that you're enjoying yourself and grow the fandom. overlord is really amazing, both anime and light novel (that's it, if i ever decide to watch the new season or catch up with the novel). you did a very fine choice, dear, to get into it! I know those were the main stories people would have been upset to be removed from the net completely. I do still have the others on my hard drive (like certain love letters and The Dove Effect, Daddy Dearest, etc), but I just don't feel comfortable releasing them again to the public. Maybe one day. ♥
