it seems like she's the only one with mind reading abilities maybe its a demon king thing? javier did mention that she has a LOT more power than she lets on so maybe theres more to it? her introduction and her request for help came VERY quick she was quick to cry and while it absolutely makes sense that its bc her people really, REALLY need help, im also wondering if there's something more to it,,, she was very fast to trust lloyd; what else does her mind reading let her see, to what extent? not saying that she's an antagonist or anything, i do believe that she wants to help her people i'm just curious at how. fast this is. though it may just be because of a pacing issue thats causing this confusion in me,,, which i will talk about later below cause i wanna get thru these panels heehee

and lastly, OUR FIRST LOOK AT THE FORMER/FIRST DEMON KING CREDOS!!! and apparently he just. stopped invading and focused on farming!!!

if you didn't already know, the author is currently publishing another webnovel set in Lorasia, and it's supposed to take place when tyrannus was a kid, basically a long LONG time ago

i love love LOVE that the pieces were set up like this, idk if credos is mentioned in the novel at all but little building blocks that create bridges (however small) between works in the same universe are my favorite thing ever i like collecting those it's my favorite kind of worldbuilding thing bc it's like putting pieces together heehoo

i'll ABSOLUTELY be making a post yapping about this prequel and the Everything that is Lorasia soon, so i'll leave this off here for now :3 but just know IM VERY EXCITED/HAPPY ABOUT THIS LITTLE LORE BIT IN PARTICULAR

ok that's all the panels i wanted to talk about ,,, i was gonna dive into worldbuild yapping/speculations but again i wanna make a separate post dedicated to that

now,,, about the pacing of this episode,,, as aforementioned, it feels really, REALLY fast! it feels like we're speedrunning the build-up part of the journey, like within the episode it's like "oh we got new characters, we get to know them- oh okay yeah they're not bad people actually - oh new powerful character let's work together okay cool moving on"

and it's a shame because i really really like the art and gags for this ep, i think they're really silly and i think i could have really come to like these new characters with more time, but because we're going through this process so fast it's like,,, the setup is barely there, which makes the punchlines just short of satisfying,,,

i wanted more out of this episode, i expected something else. i haven't read the novel so i couldn't tell you how i'd adapt it or what the something i expected was but,, idk it feels like the pacing is off,,, lloyd was quick to piece together the status of the overworld demons based on their attire and behavior but i really wish it went about in a different way. i wish we could have had more time with the heavenly eight demon kings before they were just. subdued? and the two children too, are we gonna see them again? with how fast they were introduced and how fast they were set aside, i'm worried they won't show up again

i also kind of wish artanis' reveal was,,, more. i don't know how to explain what that means. maybe more ominous? more mysterious? just a little more, more hints to her character or her relationship with other characters or something,,, though maybe this is too soon and we'll see more of her later and i'll be more satisfied? i'm not totally sure

this episode just didn't hit the same, and that really upsets me because i really wanted to like this episode! i've read more manhwa than novel currently so even with it's flaws i still really like the manhwa, and i want to be able to continue liking the manhwa,,, i really hope that this pacing thing and these fast-paced bits is just within this one episode and that it'll be okay as we go forward. i really want to continue enjoying reading this!!!

it could be that the adapter is experiencing some kind of burnout, it has been quite a long time since the start of tged. i really hope they take their time with adapting the rest, i really wouldn't mind another break. if another hiatus is needed for the adapter to pace the story and the artist to draw the panels in a way that feels better or less rushed, i'd accept the hiatus fully

anyway that's all i have to say right now,,, ep 170 really feels like a gamble right now and im praying that it goes well, if i have more thoughts ill probably rb with more yapping idk

I’d say it took them around 8 months after wrapping season four to release the first volume.

If they want to reduce the wait for season 5 like they did season 4, and chose to break up the season in two, we could see volume one in august at the latest, then possibly volume two further into autumn.

Of course, if they split the season in two equal halves, we could see the first four episodes just as summer starts (pls don’t do that to me i have 12 exams to sit in june 🥲)

I can also see them choosing not to split up the season the same way they did before purely because season 5 is the last season, whilst s4 was somewhat of an intermediate season that was released over a longer period to maintain the hype for the show and keep people engaged.

Since ST is quite literally the most popular US show on netflix, i seriously doubt they are worried about keeping the hype alive as s5 is the last season, I can see them spending more time editing the whole thing and dropping it all at once.

It all depends on the amount of CGI compared to s4, the budget, the size of the post-production crew, and how much content they have to work with.

So here i’m thinking:

S5 is split into two equal halves: Vol 1 (e1-4) are released early summer, Vol 2 (e5-8) are released sometime in september or later.

S5 is split similarly to S4: Vol 1 (e1-5/6?) released in august and Vol 2 (6/7?-8) are released in september/october

S5 is not split and the entire season drops sometime in autumn 2025 (i can see them aiming for a late october/early november release to allign with the time of year the season itself is set in/link back to wills disappearance on nov 6th)

(very rare) S5 is released Weekly? Starting in october, ending in november - IMO this would have been great if the other seasons were released weekly, but since ST has always been formatted for a binger audience, so it might feel foreign to the audience and ruin the flow of the ending - i cannot see them doing this unless each episode borders on 2 1/2 hours long (i don’t even want to know how long this season is going to be but considering they’ve been shooting for a year straight it’s going to be so much longer than s4 despite having fewer episodes)

I know it doesn’t seem soon, but this will fly by! Plus this is purely based off s4, no one is more eager for this season to come out than the Duffer brothers themselves. I don’t know a lot about post-production, but i imagine they can hire twice as many people to hopefully get it out as soon as possible without taking away from the quality of the season.

Im grateful we still have time to be excited about new content and theorise about it because this is the last time we get to do it! Who knows when a show as good as ST will come along again, IF one will come along again?

The wait, however long, will be worth it!

Think about it like we’re closer to watching the final season than we are to when they started filming.

There’s a lot of things in Dark Revival I ended up disappointed about, but despite my love of Sammy Lawrence, Sammy barely appearing was not really one of them. At the time, I’d commented to friends that the complete lack of Sammy mentions in the hype leading up to BatDR meant he was either very important or had only a cameo appearance, and I was actually pretty delighted about the Cyclebreaker cameo – it’s a moment that takes him startlingly seriously, that wasn’t just him quoting one of his four catch phrases; it’s... a kind of moment we haven’t seen from Sammy before. The part where he gets shot was like, where my expectations were, so the cyclebreaker thing was a pleasant surprise.

But like, ever since The Cage was announced… we knew Sammy kind of had to be in it. Like, Henry says “how did WE escape” and it’s set in the SPECIFIC place and time that Sammy also is; literally the only reason for Sammy to not be a significant character is if the creators actually didn’t want anything to do with him. So I have to admit the announcement that WE CAN CONFIRM that SAMMY WILL PLAY A MAJOR ROLE IN THE CAGE!!!!!!! RESTORED TO HIS CHAPTER 2 CREEPY GLORY! is just…… ugh, it’s hard to articulate why this tweet frustrates me so much.

Like………………….. "he's in it more" is not the only thing people care about, surely! What is he doing? What is his role in all this? What does he even WANT? In a review, "he's back to his chapter 2 creepy glory" would be a powerful recommendation; in a tweet from the creator right after preorders go up, it feels more like, "Hey, remember the thing you wanted? we DEFINITELY did that thing you wanted and we did it SUPER WELL so preorder our game please!!" Give us an intriguing line of dialogue or a hint about what he's doing (opposing you? helping you? uneasy truce? trying to find bendy?) and you wouldn't even need to promise us that he plays a major role; we'd be curious to learn more.

So this reassurance ends up doing the opposite, for me, because I still don't know if the creators even understand what I like about Sammy. The thing is that the circumstances of BatDR (there's a little Bendy running around, the Ink Demon is claimed dead but actually it's not, Wilson is trying to become the Lost Ones' new Big Brother) could've been INCREDIBLY relevant to Sammy -- that's why people wanted him to show up in BatDR, to see what he thinks of these developments and how he would react to them!! So if you're interested in Sammy, the character, then it would not be hard to hint at like, what his deal is – "Sammy knows the Ink Demon is out there somewhere and Henry is the key to finding him" or "after the disappearance of his Lord he's become a desperate man who's as much an obstacle as an ally" or even "Sammy was defiant when he went into the Pit -- what will Henry find when he encounters him now?" or w/e -- simply insisting HES LIKE HE WAS IN CHAPTER TWO, THE ONE YOU GUYS LIKE instead of being able to think of a single character-based hint that we might find compelling is, tbh, rather un-reassuring!!!

My complaint about Twisted Alice’s role in BatDR was that ultimately, it felt like they were just trying to capture the vibes that Twisted Alice had in BatIM instead of really exploring what that character would be doing HERE, in THIS situation. Nothing she’s doing really makes sense, and what IS there seems to have forgotten what her actual deal is, but she’s doing it with the right flair, so it feels like she’s in-character enough for the scene to be fun. Like an episodic cartoon that just forgets what happened in previous episodes depending on who’s writing this one. So… I think that’s a real risk for Sammy. For the people who just want him to show up and whisper cult-ish things so we can hear his voice more and go HEHEHE ITS HIM, this isn’t really a concern lmao, that will probably happen. I don’t have high hopes that he’ll make sense as a character, but tbf I don’t know that he ever has.

And IDK, its still early, its possible the cage will come out and I'll look up spoilers and be like OMG NM I LOVE WHAT THEY DID WITH HIM. A game that's supposed to be psychological horror could, in theory, be a really fun place for Sammy!! Maybe the people actually writing him will give him more care, haha. It's a little silly for me to be so worked up about the marketing for a game that I am not going to buy b/c I’m still not interested in giving JDS, Inc. my money. AND YET DESPITE IT ALL I STILL… CARE ABOUT SAMMY LAWRENCE LMAO….. I think my main emotion about The Cage is just curiosity, though. I do want to know what they do with him. I’m curious if he’ll play a major part in the story, or if he’s like Henry or Porter in BatDR, with one big scene where he gets a bunch of lines and then runs off. A lot of people really want to see Henry and Sammy team up in this, but I’m not writing off the possibility he’s an antagonist of some kind, so I’m curious which way that’ll go. But I don’t feel like I have any strong expectations, so I guess we’ll see!

i knew it was coming and it still killed me. samuel and the sun (reprise) was so evil. samuel didn’t deserve that, he still had so much he wanted to do :( he wasn’t supposed to leave rose’s side again, what the fuck! i was actually crying so much and having to hear rose’s reactions was just awful. i literally had to sit in silence for a few minutes just to process everything. you should have seen my face when they mentioned the purple button for the first time. fuck you kal, i hate you so much, i wish nothing but the worst for you!! and samuel, you were essential for literally everything!! they all relied on you and nothing would have happened if you weren’t there! i’m so glad margaret was able to say how strong she thinks he is! i miss him so much already and i’ve known this character for like 4 days. oh samuel, i knew you would die, but i still hoped you wouldn’t

king itzal definitely fucking deserved to win that bad parent poll, fuck that guy! i’m glad i trusted all my mutuals when they said to vote for him bc he really is that awful! his stupid spell destroyed their home and his intentions with margaret are so bad that she had to be stripped of her memories and hidden away just so she could be safe! i don’t know how, but i really didn’t expect itzal to be margaret and dakkar’s dad, that shocked me so much! and this guy had to gal to ask margaret to join his side to be evil when he was literally going to kill his son who was right behind her! i was so happy that margaret was immediately just “no” and blasted his ass (that had printing press plate hitting vibes and i loved it)

also fuck kal for making ahlaam see her dead husband, seriously not cool. i know i’m hating on these guys, but they are really cool villains that feel like they pose an actual threat even against people with magic, im excited to see what evil they do next!

i did enjoy all the new traveler lore, im glad there was more clarity on the magic ways and what they can do. i loved dakkar and addison immediately and how they expanded more on sia and ahlaam! i love the detail that they’re all connected through the radiance which makes so much sense on why margaret felt like something was missing because something literally was. without access to her magic she was cutoff from people she grew up being constantly connected to!!!

instant tears when it was revealed that dakkar was margaret’s brother. i’m glad she’s connecting more with her magic and remembering more things. but, it’s so tragic that she’s finally reuniting with the family she didn’t know she had and now she’s remembered how awful her father and she’s lost samuel who was so important in her found family. oughgh :(

rose and john were as always so sweet. john’s “i thought i lost you” destroyed me. i’m so glad they could have that moment in thank gravity! i love those two nerds!

i still have so many questions! what are the gates? how is sia’s vision going to unfold? how is rose the key? what’s the deal with the great enchantress? what makes margaret so important? what does bringing back the blazing world involve? i can’t wait to find them all out!

once again, as always, the music was just so great. my heart was pounding through the entirety of part 3, the tension was so palpable. my favs were rose and the stars, thank gravity, masterpiece containing masterpieces (reprise), and samuel and the sun (reprise). they were all tugging on my heartstrings! also all the sound effects were so cool, it really made it so immersive!

that was a rollercoaster, but i’m thrilled to be all caught up! looking forward to the mini episodes and wherever the plot goes next! i can’t wait to engage with the pulp musicals tag now that i don’t have to worry about spoilers and finally be able to look at ao3!! if anyone has fic recs for literally anything, i have no preferences, please give them to me!! anyway thanks for reading my thoughts, already this fandom has felt so so welcoming and i’m so happy to apart of it now!! <3

OMG okay first of all, ur getting a whole essay from me rn I'm so sorry. And second of all, me too, like getting a mostly cohesive ending was nice but I'm really just in it for the literal art and new media atp. But, I do still have many thoughts.

Honestly, I liked it! I haven't seen all of it, but I have seen a ton of people posting how they feel about it which is giving me some context clues.

I guess Aizawa wasn't seen at all, which does make me sad because he's one of my favorites. I don't actually know how much of the chapter was leaked, I don't go out of my way to find leaks so I've just seen it all in passing on my various socials. But like if the whole thing wasn't leaked, we could still get the Eraserhead closure we need fr 🙏 and if not, it is what it is

I think Shouto looks really happy and healthy, which was so healing to see after the last few episodes of season seven 😭😭😭 like let him breathe PLEASE good fucking lord. And Touya's death being confirmed was really sad but also expected.

Also Shoji being ranked at like nine (I think, I can't remember) was SOOO refreshing. I really really like that Hori put someone who started as a background character so high up in the ranks. And Shoji was my blorbo for two or three years, so I'm fr like a proud momma LMAO

I think Mirio being ranked number one was a given, I saw it coming from a mile away after everything Sir Nighteye had said about him/to him. But I do HATE his new hair omg omg UGLYYY LMAOO

As for IzuOcha basically being canon, I personally love that! I like that it took them years to get there, and I was especially emotional over Toga being the one to give Ochako the nudge she needed, literally. The way that Ochako saw Toga's ghost and Deku saw Shigaraki's was a beautiful parallel that was really well done in my opinion.

I'm personally not a bkdk shipper, so the whole like rejection thing didn't piss me off like it did other fans. I think it was the perfect ending for them, nicely done and very bittersweet, which is how their relationship has always sort of been.

Deku being happy and at peace is really all I wanted LOL, he seems totally content where he is and I think him looping back around to being quirkless again was like soooo on point for the story and the way everything came together in the end! And I think Bakugo seemed rather happy too, settled and all that.

So all in all, I think it was good! I think the people hating take this shit way too seriously, especially the people who are particularly upset over bkdk not being canon. Ships are actually never that serious I fear.

The only thing that sort of disappointed me was that everyone from class 1a got a sick ass glow up except Deku. Like don't get me wrong, he looked FIIINNNE as all hell. But like Sero has a mustache (which is so hot) and Shinsou has long ass hair but Deku still has almost the exact same character design 😭 like damn switch it up for my boy a little bit, give him a hair cut or some shit idk

This also includes with me liking to watch movies as well, same goes for tv shows, animes, asian dramas, etc.. (I also tend to rewatch a lot but not too much; like watching the harry potter movies, any of the marvel movies, horror movies, etc). I've been told I'm a very good dancer! I do belly dancing and I also do hiphop dancing as well. I've been in a lot of sports for years now since I was little (thank you to my mother for forcing me :,D) and now I'm in so many! and l've won a lot of rewards and I've been to a couple championships all because of me.

Σ੧(❛□❛✿) l'm pretty tall l'm 5'9 right now and l'm on the very skinny side / very slender. I'm half Polish and half West Asian (Iraqi). People usually get confused and a lot I get questions if I'm from Hawaii, Brazil or Mexico (even though I’m not from either of those country’s I’m happy that people think that), I have dyed black hair. My hair is pretty short (but a little long only going down my neck a few inches) but I get a lot of compliments for it. When I get out of bed from sleeping my hair is always looking like a mess (psst I also have bangs too. Ive been told I look both masculine and feminine). I’ve also been told that I look a lot like those hot webtoon characters. I have piercings (one in (?) my nose, two on the bottom of my lips, and a couple more on both of my ears). I want a tattoo so bad, If I ever get one it would be on the side of my belly and it would be a spider tattoo. I have a dimple on my chin and I have hazel almond eyes.

AESTHETIC/CLOTHING STYLE:

Ok so this is definitely what makes me unique to people other than my personality, my fashion extends to gyaruo (hime gal, himekaji, agejo, rokku, manba, banba, kogal, tsuyome, and kigurumi), goth (trad goth, romantic goth, mall goth, cyber goth, and victorian goth), scenemo/emo (ofc), & Y2K, shoujo, jirai kei, vkei, ouji and lolita, suits (+ MORE). I only wear all these outfits in a more masculine way on so many days, but I sometimes wear some feminine as well (usually going for gyaru, scenemo, lolita, jiari kei, etc, especially hime gyaru omfg). I usually wear these fashion outfits whenever I’m in school, when i'm out somewhere, during my job, or just to look cool. Whenever I'm not in my crazy outfits I'm usually dressed in my "IDGAF" outfits by that I mean are like pj pants and a black shirt, usually I look like I'm alternative whenever I'm not dressed, I wear a lot of jeans, sweatshirts, etc.

Σ੧(❛□❛✿) I’m definitely from a royal family (I think House Martell would be perfect for me). I would also come from a different house (this is a made-up house but I feel like it would be perfect to add in here) and that other house is also very powerful as much as the other royal houses, it’s located in a very dark/gloomy place and it’s away from the villages and it’s castle is more gothic looking and large, with this I would be from two different royal houses. Even though I wouldn’t have so much Targaryen blood in me I was able to claim one of the most powerful dragons known. I would be a really good political person and can possibly win for either side or somehow keep peace with them while they’ll get whatever they want, it would be simple for me. I would totally wear a lot of ouji / vkei in this universe as well, I’d be called a dark prince due to how much gothic-looking clothes I would wear for sure, but I would also have the cutest wardrobe ever too, since I wear a lot of pink as well I would have the best dresses too, just I wouldn’t wear them so often. I also think that I would be king material as well… honestly I would make a really good king if I think about it. Though, in this universe I think I would be more manipulative and cruel (but at the bare minimum + it’s only towards naïve strangers). I’d definitely be many things while being royal (historian, philosopher, poet, writer, counsellor AND adviser).

I ship you with Aemon Targaryen! I wasn't even done reading your info before I paired you two together. I think Aemond is the perfect balance of dangerous and stable for you

Aemond would definitely wait awhile before introducing you to Vhagar, but the two of you would get along well. She's a war dragon and incredibly ancient, so ultimately Vhagar is going to do what she wants. She also sees these traits in you, she would trust you to respect her and her wisdom. When Aemond cares and is dedicated about something, he has the patience despite feeling confused. I think sometimes you would baffle him, both with your contrasting personality traits and with your mental health struggles (obviously this isn't exactly things they would regard back then). But I think Aemond would really be willing to support you the best he can. If you ever suffered a long episode he would make sure important things were around you (food, water, comfort items, etc). I think he would remain quiet, not knowing what to say, but he'd never leave your side. He'd read to you and tell you all about his family drama

I don't think Aemond is one for heavily fancy things, but he'd get you anything you wanted. oOOOOooohhhhhhhh i get it now. i have Identified the Problem that has caused the most recent amadeus-related crisis/spiral/whatever you want to call it.

there are 5-ish "roles" that i have taken on as a solo dev:

project manager

musician/sound director

programmer/implementation engineer

writer/narrative lead

artist/art director

and for each i THOUGHT i had figured out how to tackle them.

project management: I've had some experience managing collaborative projects (GBA collab album, mystery jam game), I also solicited advice from other indie devs I met at Seattle Indies Expo, and I *also* applied what I learned about how we manage projects in facilities at my day job using Asana and have applied that to Amadeus. I very consciously treated this as a skill to learn and taking that specific skill seriously has helped a lot.

music: ...I straight up went to grad school for this. I took like a billion units every semester so I could learn as much as possible about composition AND mixing/production. This is the one thing I actually have a strong background in. I have the skillset and I also have People I can ask for feedback and advice. The music is lowkey going to carry this whole project.

programming: I went into this knowing full well I have exactly One semester of Unity/C# under my belt and have no idea what I am doing. I have experience learning basic HTML and JavaScript and have reverse engineered most of Ghost Trick's code via ROMhacking, so I have a sort of janky skillset, but it's very amateur and I knew that. I have asked SO many questions to people who are more experienced. KNOWING that this is my weakest suit has let me ask for help when I need it, and also accept that even the most polished possible form of this game is still going to be jank as fuck. That's fine. My #vision will still come through.

writing: the whole reason I set aside an entire month to just focus on the Mystery Jam game was because I knew I needed more experience writing, and specifically writing mystery. I've spoiled the whole game to two different people who have writing experience in order to bounce ideas and get feedback. I've asked for workflow advice from a third person with writing experience. Identifying this as a weakness has helped me focus on improving it, and because of that I am really happy with where it's at right now.

Which leads us to....

...art.

My problem with art is that as of about 2 years ago, I was much more confident in my art than I was in basically anything else except music, because I have drawn stuff my whole life and have a shitload of informal practice at it. So I focused very heavily on the other stuff that was very obviously a weakness.

But, as we approach the final months of Go Time to finish the first episode... I'm like, hm, it turns out that the art and art direction of a visual novel are kind of important.

I *like* all of the assets I've drawn for the currently existing demo, but there are specific things about the overall look I don't quite like, and there is a specific metanarrative Thing that I have been trying to evoke with what I'm doing visually and I feel like sticking to that is at odds with making assets that look and "feel" right.

Basically I haven't really thought as much about art direction as I should have since finishing the demo because I kinda figured I could coast on the fact I consider myself a pretty good artist. I can make things that look Nice. But now that I've worked hard at my other areas of weaknesses, the fact I haven't really sat down with my art direction in the past 4-5 months is really starting to become obvious.

All this to say.

My "assignment" for this afternoon is to sit outside listening to all the tracks I've written (including new WIP ones no one but me has heard yet CUZ THEYRE AWESOME im SO excited about the new tracks im writing for this) and reading through my revised narrative with certain finalized plot points and concepts, and just sketching out visually what the game Should Look Like. I am almost certain I can still use the assets I've already drawn, like the sprites and backgrounds and icons and such, but I may edit them differently, or add to them, or otherwise change something about them. I just need to make some choices because I'm feeling stuck and I need to get un-stuck if I am going to finish this game AND I AM DETERMINED TO DO SO.

Izzy’s death? Him not dying at the start, when he obviously should have, being called  ,,indesttructable little fucker” by Ed, having a redemption arc, even having the ,,last drink”. Very obvious from the start that this season was leading up to his death

Ed and Stede’s Inn?-  ,,S1-Blackbeard's Bar & Grill & Other Delicacies & Delights & Fishing Gear” and Ed saying hes an Inn keeper in the Gravy Basket and whole other thing about Ed wanting to leave piracy.

zheng joining the crew- very obviously they were hinting at polyam relationship or as ,,, split” for Jim/Archie and Olu/Zheng from the time we meet her, also them wanting to join her crew, its obvious they will be on one ship somehow.

Frenchie being the first mate (or Captain? now) when Izzy’s not capable, leading him being the new one

We didn't get the Black Pete/ Lucius wedding, so we got it now.

Spanish Jackie joing the crew was suprising but it does make sense since she paired up with Swede and all the crew got together again for one more rodeo

Buttons being a seagul not explained but still implied with him paying respects for Izzy

i understand the anger because it does feel a bit rushed. We had whole episode for Calypsos birthday but no proper mourning for Izzy or excitment for the wedding.

However the show did dot their i's and crossed their t's.

They left it at that, that if they don't get third season- it will be the end of the show, with Ed and Stede together living ,, happily ever after" , the crew all together prirating still over a other Captian, Izzy's story finally wrapped up with him dying and finaly having closure with Ed.

They left the storyline open for a new season, we could deffineltey get Ed and Stede missing the sea, and rejoining the crew to put the minor prince back to his place but i seriously doubt it.

I always imagined series ending as this. Always.

So the disapointment suprises me. I would loved if the finale was 1h long not just 30 minutes, cuz once again it did seem very rushed, but they did the best with what they had and i think thats enough.

Long time no see, huh? First I wanna apologize for such a long hiatus. I know last time I posted I said the new chapter of Bloom was almost done. But I had some life stuff happen and was very overwhelmed. For the last few months I’ve been in sort of a depressive episode, normally they don’t last that long, but this time it did and it caused me to become behind in work, on top of a lot of other stuff with family and myself in general. I won’t go into detail but I have some mental health issues and I am unmedicated so when this happens it’s a bit difficult to cope.

I’m ok! Don’t worry. I just could barely function for a bit other than working and doing the bare minimum. I’m really sorry for being gone for so long.

But… I am back! And before anyone asks, YES BLOOM IS STILL ALIVE! I am going to absolutely be updating Bloom. And I will continue to, along with other one shots/stories at some point. But before I get ahead of myself, I am going to focus on getting the newest chapter of Bloom out.

Please be patient with me. I’m not going to give an exact time of when Bloom will be updated, but it will be soon. I still need to finish up the chapter, and I am hoping to this week. But we will see how things go.

I’m doing a bit better now. This might be really corny, but I found a group of online friends to talk about kpop with and be delusional with in the midst of all of this. I never expected to become such good friends with these girls but seriously, they have helped me through the last few months. Without them I think I would have been so much worse. 🥲 so thank you to them for keeping a smile on my face and making me laugh when I normally wouldn’t have been able to. They also listen to me babble and be dramatic when I’m feeling overwhelmed. And as you all know, I’m sort of a hermit, so it has been really refreshing to have people to talk to and call friends.

Anyways, I’m sorry again for being gone for so long. I just was unable to really focus on anything other than work, but I’m happy to say I’ve got my head on a bit straighter which means I’ll be able to focus more on doing things that I love like writing about Jungkook. 🥰

im currently midway thru the ruins near aspio 4-ish hours of gameplay my thoughts on vesperia so far:

- first of all yuri's character is very wudbsjxuskxn to me bc omg he is really this Cool Bishounen Capable Cool archetype played straight and its like.. i cannot for the love of me recall the last time i encountered a character like this, especially as a protagonist. like the closest character i can think of is fucking... Batman. but he isnt a bishounen. and like maybe squall and zidane come close in being a Cool And Capable protags but the thing abt them and every ff protag really (that i know) is that they are Dorks (and no i didnt include cloud as a Cool And Capable protag bc hes just cosplaying as a cool guy, cuz he literally has a mental episode in like the first 2 minutes of gameplay. hes awesome but cloud strife is not a Cool guy) but yuri is not a dork at all (at least so far) and its like. Such a new type of creature to me.. and so im excited on how his character is gonna be explored like whats gonna be his flaw or conflict cuz he seriously has it together so far.. itll probably be smth to do with flynn im guessing

- and speaking of flynn im really liking this buildup of going after flynn like we keep talking about flynn flynn flynn all while we never catch a glimpse of him, its sooo interesting like surely Somethinggg will happen when we meet him.. heehee hee

not that i don't like redesigns. i like new designs for shows. (for example the tmnt franchise [esp 2012, rise, and mm 🫶]) they're refreshing to see.

but after seeing the "new kim" (left)(that looks like kim to me, idk) and this slightly-adjusted-but-very-noticeable jett (middle)

i...don't really know what to feel towards s8. i think i might consider s8 as an "alternative universe" like @worldairportwonders said in this post.

ok i wanna start this by saying this is pure rant. totally unimportant feelings about the show. i’d do a whole analysis or essay type thing but i’ve done enough of that against my will </3

i started titans for nightwing and starfire bc they were my favorite actors. seriously anna diop is so gorgeous i couldn’t get over it and still won’t. in a way, i also started watching for jason because it seemed like a whole new take on his character (bc it was) and i was excited on how they’d do the whole robin/red hood story with the titans. jason’s introduced as the immature and loud teenager which didn’t seem like a good idea for the red hood part of his story but he’s also still robin at this point. at the time i think he was moreso there to introduce nightwing’s development and departure from being robin because batman in this show is just yucky. i don’t remember enough to talk about that tho lawl

then it gets suckier than it started because out of nowhere the whole team starts treating jason like shit. he goes from the goofy one to the young and always angry character and that’s when i just KNEW they were finna fuck him over. first off the team (nightwing, star, raven, yada yada) takes in this girl rose wilson bc slade’s trying to kill her. if you guessed that she’s actually there to help slade kill the titans or whatever then you’d be right, she’s basically like tera from the judas contract if you watched that. and they made her jason’s LOVE INTEREST and at first they were cute but UHJHJGJFJFJ i cant start on that rn

so like i said earlier right now jason’s the immature angry teenager of the group. at some point someone (im pretty sure it was rose) pranks everyone by putting some fucked up shit in their rooms, like drawing crosses all over raven’s room. tell me why EVERYONE AUTOMATICALLY BLAMES JASON??? they just assumed he did it for whatever fucking reason. so that’s one way the team treated him like shit 😭 another ginormous part to this: yk how jason goes after the joker even tho batman told him not to?? it’s basically that but instead of the joker it was slade that he went after. got kidnapped and tortured cuz what’s a jason todd character w/o that right. then he ALMOST died but didn’t bc superboy saved his life, blah blah blah all this other stuff and then he almost commits suicide! wowww so fun!

so at this point i’m thinking “ok thst was weird but trust the process right???” long story short nightwing fucks up, team disbands, jason and rose disappear for the whole next season or wtvr, then in a random episode jason and rose are basically confirmed to be dating and i think they live in part of bruce’s mansion or smth??? idk anyway over the course of a few episodes we see their relationship develop and they’re actually kinda cute. like jason fake proposed to her with six bigass sandwiches that he made and it was so adorable and BOOM rose tells him she was originally supposed to sabotage the titans and that’s why the team disbanded so he’s like “ykw fuck you” and then he disappears AGAIN. this was very random so i just assumed it was supposed to add on to why he did what he did later on…

ok now when he comes back we get into red hood. i guess they kinda mashed jason’s original story with the arkham knight story??? i forgot exactly what happened but i think what happened was he got buddy buddy with scarecrow and reverse engineered his fear gas so that it gives you a munch of adrenaline and makes you fearless or wtvr. this was one of my least favorite things about this interpretation of jason because making him rely on drugs to do the things he wants to without fear just. does not make sense to me??? if anything i feel like jason would despise drug addiction and things of the like but that’s neither here nor there! so now he’s pumped full of drugs and he goes to find the joker. then he dies and gets dumped in the lazarus pit in the same episode so him dying has literally no significance. THEN BRUCE KILLS THE JOKER. so now i’m stuck like wtf are they finna do with this narrative??? literally eliminated one of the biggest parts of red hood. atp i’m wondering where tf they’re going with this and the answer is they went NO WHERE WITH IT. jason becomes red hood (and no hate to curran walters but it was lame as fuck) and does a lot of fucked up shit because scarecrow promised him power or whatever so now there’s no depth to what he’s doing and it takes him getting kidnapped and almost killed for the THIRD TIME before he decides he’s not doing the right thing. so he says fuck scarecrow and tries to help the titans stop whatever he was doing and ugh it’s just such sucky writing.

tl;dr only thing that kept me watching was a thirst for jason todd content, brenton thwaites and anna diop. like there are probably hours worth of stuff in that show i skipped bc it had nothing to do with the only three things i cared about. only thing that i was satisfied with was nightwing and starfire being together. there’s more stuff i could add but this was specifically for jason and how let down i was 💔

that genuinely seems like a shit show. like idk if i could handle that. the way they mashed up like ALL of his "death and resurrection" plots?? no ma'am. you're better than be for even watching all of that because i simply couldn't. i've seen tiktok edits of rose and jason from titans and, not to sound like a broken record but, her wig??? kill me now.

i also just don't like curran walters as jason. he's too pocket-sized idk.

ALSO. i looooooooooove judas contract so bad. one of my fave dcau movies, just so fucking good!!

AEW Dynamite 06/28/23 Review

Jon Moxley vs Tomhiro Ishii

2 great talent. Im interested in seeing if AEW will play ok the Chaos vs BCC storyline we saw start at New Japan Resurgence.

A solid opening to the episode. I wasnt anticipating the angle until after the end of the match, but seeing Eddie make a surprise entrance as an oppurtunity to attack Claudio. I assume in hopes Mox would be too busy with his natch to interfere.

After the commercial break it seems Eddie has calmed down only in that he's not actively approaching Claudio. Instead shoosing to stare at him fron across the ring.

Mox gets the win but its its obvios theres syill tension with him and Eddie Kingston.

Parking Lot Segment

This story between MJF and Adam Cole is going exactly where I think its gonna go.

MJF is going to try and and turn Adam Cole heel, and Cole will try the to the same to MJF conversly turning him Face.

BCC segment with Renee

This was pretty much for Eddie to explain why he went out during Mox's match. I would call it a little selfish for Eddie to expect mox to all of a sudden not want Mox to hang around Claudio.

Orange Cassidy, El Hijo del Vikingo, and Keith Lee vs Jericho Appreciation Society (Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, and Angelo Parker)

2.Oh havent been on TV for a while I dont think, long enough for me to actually be excited to see them again.

I'm also happy to see El Hijo del Vikingo back on Dynamite, loved Forbidden Door, but I will say there was a distinct lack of Lucha.

Solid match. Tony really just says all babyfaces are friends. I think that's fine.

Hungbucks Dark Order backstage segment

Oooo drama between the Dark Order and Hangman. It makes total sense for Dark Order to be upset with Hangman, especially since the bucks always seem to disappear every time Hangman is in trouble. I'm excited to see what happens with their match.

Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara backstage segment

I didn't have much to say about their match on Sunday. I noticed that they didn't really progress anything regarding Sammy and Jericho, and neither did this segment.

Dark Order vs The Elite

6 AEW originals so I'm very happy to see this match.

I really hope we see a healthy showing of the dark order recruitment specialist.

So I'm not expecting Dark Order to win, and neither am I expecting Hangman and The Bucks to stop tagging together anytime soon, so with that, it is possible Dark Order could be using this opportunity to return. To their roots as villains.

It feels like a possibility with how willing Uno is to attack Hangman while he's on the apron.

Hangman is finally ready to take his opposing team seriously, and he ends up being pinned for a Newark fall the fans were really into.

Just when I typed that John Silver reversed the Buckshot Lariat into his own pin attempt for the second closest near fall in the match.

Adam Page reluctantly pins for the win.

So, instead of giving us more Dark Order, the BCC decides to use this moment to attack the Elite. We do get something though as it seems Dark Order is choosing not to do anything for Hangman. Even Kongston is out here to fight off the BCC.

Looks like Forbidden Door wasn't the last we seen of Don either since him and his new son Konosuke Takeshita are out here to be apart of Jon's official challenge for BLOOD AND GUTS.

I'm excited for Blood and Guts forsure. I'm not sure if it's just going to be Eddie instead of Kenny on the side of the Elite, but if so there's definitely room to add another player for each team. Especially since it seems Don's whole character is to be an Antagonist for Kenny's story.

There's a lot of ways this story could go, and I'm glad there are a lot of different threads that connect to the drama each character has had so far in AEW.

Another parking lot segment with MJF and Adam Cole.

I like MJF's generic white boy line referring to Roderick Strong.

Jungle Boy Jack Perry Promo

Now that he's a Heel Jack Perry wears sunglasses. I guess now that we have MJF to do the Tag Team storyline, and Christian is on Collision, we need someone to just go out there and talk shit for a whole segment.

Never mind, we're getting a youpeople promo.

After talking about Hook for a minute, Hook makes his entrance, and Perry hightales it out of the ring.

Sammy Guevara Sign Promo

He's cutting a promo on sting. I like how they are able to use this as a way to both; let Sammy cut a promo and get the Advertisements out the way.

Ruby Soho vs Alexia Nicole (Who didn't get a lower third)

This was supposed to be a match against Britt Baker, so I'm not expecting this to be a very competitive match. We'll probably see Ruby use this as more of an angle to call out Britt.

Ruby ends this match with Britts finisher, the Lockjaw. Pretty regular stuff. All capped off with the post match Spray paint.

Oh cool post match promo too.

Johnny TV Backstage Promo

I like John Hennigan and all his silly names. He fits more with the whole QTV gimmick more than Hobbs did. Rampage is also getting its own identity now, but it's felt like it's getting one for the past few months now, and I'm not sure if it is ever going to reach that point.

Main Event: Tornado Tag Team Match: Sting and Darby Allin vs Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara

I really hate that shitty flash movie that plays in the background of Sammy's entrance.

If i remember correctly, this is the 3rd time we saw the Painmaker character on Dynamite.

I like the tornado tag rules as a tv stipulation. Makes the match feel faster paced and chaotic.

Oh, geez. Sting jumped off the ladder onto Sammy, who was on 2 tables. I dont know if that was a great landing. It looks like sting may have landed his pelvis on the edge of one table and bumped his face on the second.

Sting somehow gets up and ends up in the walls of Jericho. Luckily, he was able to use the Painmakers own bat against him.

There's a lot of interesting depth to this story between Sting and Jericho, as we see Ating using all the moves he used back in the 90s and Jericho using the collection of moves he has gained in the years since. I feel there's a lot of possibility with this fued.

Closing thoughts

It feels like not much was developed in this episode aside from the MJF and Adam Cole story as well as Hangman and The Dark Order.

I'm excited to see Rampage and to see if they build anything else towards blood and guts this week.

That's fine. I know that it might not seem it, but I'm not one to rush people into replying to messages all the time. I know people have lives away from media (like social media), technology, and everything else.

I get easily excited meeting new people who have the same interests as me, since it is rare for me to find someone who has multiple of these interests instead of just one or two interests.

Don't get me wrong. From what I've seen, I do love Nijiro's appearance as Kazutora. Though is is really my complaint about live adaptions.. As a very short person, the short characters are rarely portrayed by short actors. Short people are interesting too! That definitely upsets me more than it should though.

You will enjoy Yuki Yamada's character in High&Low because he's a menace in his own way. Seriously.

I can't say if this is better or worse, maybe equally said and done in a similar way. I'm not a lesbian. But my taste is fictional men is also all over the place so I know that feeling. Except I would be the person in this world who might complain that there is not any real men - not including the actors - who are like all these fictional characters. I know it's so completely unrealistic. But it happens from time to time. There are times when my idealistic life is a lot better than my real life, and then just complain my idealized life is not the same as reality. I'm really mental that way all the time, more than I like to admit. So I guess I'm an escapist from time to time now that I think of it... Anyway. Yeah. My favorite fictional characters are a lot of different eclectic types of characters I'd enjoy.

it really is a shame to not see more shorter actors/actresses in stuff. im a bit biased tho, i’m a taller girl myself (like 5’8) but i love a good height difference, love a short girl/tall guy (or tall girl) dynamic. i do wish there was more diversity in media overall really; shorter guys, taller girls, different body types, etc.

just finished the last couple episodes of tokyorev s1 today (losing my mind, takemichi what did u even really accomplish here after 24 eps, so many people are still dead ffs) —

n-e-way i blasted through watching high&low s1 and im seeing shimp colours. all of this is so fun; the characters, the soundtracks, the pretty dudes, all killin’ it! also the whole scene of the rude boys playing keep away with the diamonds in ep6 was so *chefs kiss*, i loved it. i think the rude boys squad might be my favourite rn, they’re just so fun to watch.

did not expect to like yamato as much as i do, he’s just a good guy who cares about his friends!!! the absolute chokehold tettsu has on me tho. also cobra ……. murayama ……. smokey …….. im stuffin’ em in my pockets like lil plushies, squeeze em like stress balls. noboru im sticking in a jar, im studying him like a bug, im shaking him like a snowglobe, loverboy you are torturous. enari and takeshi on vibes alone got me feeling some kind of way.
