an intro to little red:

that’s luna garnet walking down the street, the twenty-three year old, who looks like madelaine petsch. here in apple peak, they work as a server at bella notte. some say she acts like red riding hood from little red riding hood, since she can be courageous & kind, but also a little bit naïve & credulous.

okay listen folks! i’ve put this intro off for a hot minute bc im the worst and haven’t figured out every aspect of her character just yet but i wanna get her up so i can get plots and things goin!! so pls luv my bb red even if shes a lil unfinished

mother said, straight ahead — not to delay or be misled

her full name is luna cleopatra garnet. (her mother was a fan of fantasy & whimsy) though she often goes by her nickname, red.

the history of the nickname is a story of the chicken or the egg. red is usually donned head to toe in the color, for it is her absolute favorite. she can often be seen about town in her famous red cape, first gifted to her by her grandma when she was a little girl. she loved it so much, that every birthday after her granny stitched her up a new one after the old one had been worn, and torn, and outgrown.

her grandma will say she made the first cloak because little luna loved red so much, but luna will claim she loved the color because it was the shade of her favorite red hood.

red is the child of a single mother. she was raised by her mother and her granny, who loved her dearly. it was a supportive household, filled with kindness, tenacity, and joy.

she were never very well off, luna’s mother worked multiple jobs to support them, and luna starting doing small odd jobs of her own as soon as she was able. she would pick flowers in the woods and sell them to her neighbors as a young girl, and would eventually log many hours babysitting, cleaning, or gardening for others as a teen.

she was always an adventurous and independent child, and that carried into her teens and young adulthood. she liked to explore, make friends, and lived in an innocent world.

ABUSE TW: when she was in high school, she was involved in an abusive relationship with a boy she didn’t love, and one who didn’t love her, though he had always claimed otherwise. but that wasn’t love, she would soon learn that. for the first time, she was lying to her mother, to granny. she walked through the world hidden under a red hood. and when she eventually broke down, had had enough and came clean, it was the women she loved who rescued her, who patched her up and gave her strength. ( end of tw )

i should have headed her advice, but he seemed so nice

she currently lives with her grandma. she takes care of her, and she is her very best friend.

her mother isn’t around rn (I HAVENT SUPER FIGURED OUT WHY YET so i’ll let you guys know)

she works as a waitress at bella notte to make some money. she enjoys cooking and baking herself, and dabbles in it from time to time. her favorite recipes are ones she can make with fresh picked ingredients, especially ones she can find herself in the woods.

stops at the tea kettle like once a day at least to get sweets for granny okay

can’t find her? she’s probably sitting in a field of wildflowers, under a tree in the middle of the forest, riding her bike through town – the front basket filled with warm pastries, or reading at her grandmother’s side.

but what a change! no cloak of red — no silly hood upon her head. she said “hello, and please do note: my lovely furry wolfskin coat.”

red is courageous and adventurous. she likes to explore.

she is often lead astray, she is easily distracted by the beautiful and intriguing, which can get her into trouble.

because of this, it is often hard for her to stay focused on one task or stay dedicated to a single project.

she is fiercely loyal to those that she loves. she will literally do anything for you. SHES GOT U SIS

has a love for flowers and nature, and shes very drawn to the moon. that was probably her mother’s fault for naming her luna, but she feels a deep connection to it.

she considers herself an optimistic realist. she is generally very kind and generous, but she sees the world for what it is. she’s no longer the little girl wandering through the trees alone, she protects herself. at times, she can still be a bit too impulsive, trusting, and naïve. she is trying to be more cautious, more observant. she doesn’t want that to harden her though.
