okay so i went into this game assuming kanerah would be my fave and i was like. ready to finally not have to headcanon a romance and shit. and then this bitch named valerie came along. and oh my god she's such a piece of work. so principled. so hypocritical. so abrasive and easy to rile up. she's loyal because she's decided to be loyal. she turns on you for wanting to kill a guy early in act 2 and then turns BACK on him because he hits on her. she doesnt even realise shes gay. ever since she killed fredero because esteem pushed her to do it ive been thinking about it. ive not read the dialogue for her canon straight romance or whatever because honestly i dont care whatever the fuck im doing to her in my head is way more interesting to me. ive done all the stuff for her hellknight ending and im very excited heehee.

nastya - BANSHEE...or ghost in general but there some banshee stuff i feel could be fun to integrate. apparently in some tellings banshees can turn into crows? i love that very much. but anyways hmm..some notes abt the design in thsi post shes not quite where i want her to be. this was done on that collab canvas the other day and like...was mostly noodling things out having fun, those flamey looking bits are a very nice motion very fun to do but NOT wwhat i want for ghostya. i want her to be more. drippy. very drowned person vibes. fire and upward-floating motif not what i want. but it was fun to draw. also i think theres some potential comedy in there with “person who predicts deaths” among crew who habitually murder each other

raphaella - SOMEWHERE BTWN HARPY & SIREN (the bird kind not the mermaid kind) very excited abt her. lots of fun potential poses here. doing her design was a bit tricky- sirens tend to be just like- big birds with human heads? but i didt wanna do just that that takes away too much of her design recognizbility yknow to Just have her head. so she has a people torso, bird from the waist down, plus her arms are wings. which means she has Two pairs of wings. which i for one think is incredibly fun like you remember in httyd2 valka’s dragon w the four wings? yeah. also avent figured what bird in particular shell be based on- for the ufrry au i went w african grey parrot but dont feel like that here. ill think on it

ok i know you said just a random headcanon but i just remembered a scenario i thought up of fuckin ages ago and i wanna talk about it so here we go. mmmost of its gonna b copypasted from where i put it first bc its a LOT of words so im gonna put it under a cut :P

so!! eam au. i hc mera doesnt usually make an outwardly big deal abt her birthday very often. usually the most she does is get herself a treat or something. or use it as leverage if she Wants something and wants to be obnoxious about it. shes not really a big fan of Parties and People Talking At Her and Noise and Ugh. so most of the time she just keeps to herself and keeps things on the down-low. most people dont learn about her birthday at all if she can help it. buuuut the household is The Household so they find out eventually. they usually respect her preferences though. usually.

so, its probably been a while since the household has gotten together at this point-- everyones comfortable with each other, everyones kind of found their place at this point! and mera... is trying her best! but its the morning of meras birthday that molly actually comes and wakes her up a bit early. and mera, reasonably (and predictably,) looks at her. looks at the clock. looks back. "what do you want?" a bit snippy, but molly was prepared for this. and she pulls out a little box, "i know its a bit early, and you can go right back to bed after, but i thought you might want to see what i got you!" and mera just. shit. right. that is today. and she kind of weighs her options.. and takes the box.

its honestly small enough to fit in her hand, which she doesnt really mind, but its curious. and inside is a little gold pin in the shape of a heart. and molly watches, excited, n just tells her to try it on! do it! :> and well, she does. and immediately, there was almost a wave of... peace? quiet? calm. a bit subtle, but noticeable. very noticeable. and molly just begins chattering excitedly-- shed been working on it for a while, but she actually imbued a bit of her epithet into the pin, enough to, more or less, keep the side effects of meras epithet at bay! and shes just going on and on about the intricacies of it and mera just sits there kind of... stunned. but eventually, when molly finishes her explanation, she gives a kind-of-awkward, but... genuinely heartfelt thank you.

the long story short of its that it actually quells the side effects of meras epithet for a set amount of time, but it kinda slowly recharges its energy as the wearer sits in quiet. (which molly adds smugly, "in case you ever need an excuse to slip away :3c")

and some of the rest of the fam was actually in on it! helping her research and prepare (mostly sylvie) and looking for a good vessel for it (mostly ramsey) and then a whole lot more opens up for her! which, admittedly, was incredibly strange for mera, considering her spending all of her life being cautious and careful so she doesnt... yknow.

and well, shortly after, molly offers to spend the day with her (if she wants, of course, she knows the value of personal space. ..and mera's general attitude towards her birthday, but the offer still stood!) to "check if the pin works well :)" ..but she really just kind of wants to spend some time with her. and she asks what mera used to for fun do before her epithet started getting in the way. and mera just kinda thinks for a moment... "uh, i read a lot. and uh... took walks, if it was a good day." and kinda... falls quiet again. and thats when she realizes.

ah fuck. shed been spending so much of her time focused on trying to figure out some solution to her epithet that she... kind of forgot to do much else, really. she didnt do much more than read with most of her free time. and molly just kind of thinks about it, then... "well, do you want to try something new? i can show you how to sew, if you want." and then, ":D we can find out the Thing for you now!"

and that started a little something new! it started off as just molly rattling off things to try, and then someone else heard and joined in, and then well... everyone was in on it after some time! and eventually, they just kinda. took turns. trying out some new activity with mera to see if its something that she clicked with. and well, honestly just to spend a bit more time with her now that she has that time and energy to spare! time to get to know each other just a little bit better, tie those bonds a little bit closer. they still have to be careful- its not a permanent end-all solution, it was more of a lifeline if things got too rough but... it helped. it helped a lot. and it was pretty easy to tell! and well, it was a definite step towards things getting just a little bit better.

a/n: so ofc i have like no motivation to catch up w my requests atm- im so sorry skjdfbhgdj but i had my first day of work the other day so why not write a quick blurb abt how that went hehe

Honestly. I’m more excited than nervous. Right? Maybe because of that cute boy I saw the other day when I came into the store for my interview, but he’s irrelevant. Kinda.

You remember waiting in line and seeing him bag groceries. His brunette curls were all over the place and his pair of pretty brown eyes were focused on his task. 

Ugh, I could just tell he’s gorgeous, even if half his face was covered because of his mask. 

You thought to yourself as you slyly checked him out from the corner of your eye. He was wearing the stores’ shirt with some baggy jeans and worn-out new balances. For some reason, that was the most attractive thing ever to you. Maybe quarantine really was getting to you.

After the not-so-nerve-wrecking interview, you felt even more excited to start working. If they accept you of course. What made you feel that way was the fact that someone who has been working there for a while will help you out, if you do start of course. At least, that’s what the manager who was interviewing you said.

A couple of days later, you get the job. Which seemed pretty obvious, but you were stoked nonetheless. Mainly because you actually got the job and because you might get to work with the pretty boy. Then again, might. 

You’re probably barely going to see him around the store and maybe that’s a good thing. You can be awkward as fuck even though you act confident from time to time. Attractive people make you nervous, you can’t help it.

Your first day starts and everything’s pretty chill, just had to sign some papers. Now you’re in some office room starting a couple of video training modules. You lean on the palm of your hand and scroll through the list of the videos you had to watch. About 33 videos and documents, fanfuckingtastic.

Some time passes by and you glance at the computer’s time realizing it’s time to start your lunch. You shift off the headphones you were using and stand up, telling your newly acquainted coworker that you’re taking a lunch.

Okay. What do I do now? I clock out, right? Then go grab some lunch. Okay? Cool. I got this.

You breathe out and walk to the back of the store, then towards the break room to clock out. You let your manager know you’re going to go the nearby Starbucks to grab some lunch and begin to head out the store with a sense of relief rushing through your body.

That sense of relief immediately diminishes when that cute guy, stops you from leaving. “Hey, are you a courtesy clerk?” he asks, smiling at you beneath his mask.

You notice his eyes slightly squint from smiling making your stomach fill with butterflies. You nod slowly, “U-Uhm, yep.”

He stifles a laugh and holds up some empty bottle, walking up to you. You gulp and glance at him, “Could you please refill this with sanitizer for me? It’s in the back of the store, by the janitor’s closet.”

“Yeah sure,” you take ahold of it but instantly realize you don’t know where that is, “I-I’m sorry, where is that a-again?” you let out a breathy laugh.

He chuckles, “It’s uhm, somewhere in the back. I have to help these customers out but just ask someone. They’ll know. Thank you!” he walks back out to the front of the store.

Okay, fuck. Just help the cute guy. Doesn’t matter that you’re on lunch, just go. 

You inhale deeply and quickly walk away, doing his favor. You come back and walk up to him, keeping a distance. “H-Here,” you say quietly but notice he’s too focused on helping others to hear you. You bite your lip nervously out of habit and watch him. 

His eyes look so familiar. Almost like. No way? Could it be, Peter Parker from freshman year? Shut the fuck up, no way.

You feel your heart begin to race at the thought. You glance at his outfit to check for a name tag but didn’t catch anything.

Shit.

You look back up at him when you notice him come close, “Sanitizer, right?” he chirps.

You nod, “Y-Yeah.”

“Thanks,” he goes back to his job. You make your way past him with widened eyes and walk out the store to Starbucks.

That did not just fucking happen. He’s so cute, oh my god. Wait, could that really be him? It went by too fast, shit! Oh my god. I got over Peter Parker two years ago, did he really have to show up now? No, no fucking way it’s him. Whatever. I’ll find out his name eventually. Then, I guess we’ll see.
