Hey so i finally drew the silly beetle!!! I’m happy that i originally went with a more stylized design like how i did with Gigan. I will say that i do have something special for these two so making them a bit more different than going more on model with their designs was definitely a good choice. The iconic two (him & Gigan ofc✨) & my fav silly evil team ever. Megalon’s definitely the one to be overhyping his best friend when doing their usual evil deeds. He’s the moral support every guy needs fr. I really do like Megalon & hey maybe in the future i could draw them together :]

Im also thinking about sharing & coming up w some headcanons for him in a future post (that’d be fun :D)

she was so nervous when she clocked her on the other side of the room

also spent all of that time trying to come off like the coolest chillest most confident masc ever like she wasn't constantly wiping the sweat from her palms lmaoooo

she finally was forced to lay on the moves when y/n came over to join in on the convo with her castmates

ellie made her laugh and vice versa

els had her tongue down her gfs throat and both of her hands jammed up the front of her top, very clearly grasping and squeezing her breasts

they got a stern talking to from y/n's pr team but ellie actually didn't care

she def has phantom dick disorder in literally all aspects of her life

lets not forget that this version of ellie does not have experience in fighting and has not lived through an apocalypse so she's contextually less tough than normal ellie

but that doesn't stop her from mouthing off to assholes three times her size

don't get me wrong, she can hold her own and still works out on occasion, but she fr looks like a chihuahua barking at pitbulls when she gets yapping

i love the dynamic of ellie doing a chat stream w her gf where ellie's got her in her lap, leaning back with droopy eyes and a dopey smile, still giving her gf all of her attention while her gf ends up being more of a "alert and yappy" stoned and is rambling about strangely philosophical topics and answering questions in chat

ellie is just sitting there just giggling and when her gf turns to her she just goes "ur so smart baby" and "u look so pretty rn"

also i really really really love character design and desperately want a job in the field one day so maybe this can just be a practice in observation

Dan Heng scrunches his nose when he's bein protective *someone threatens the Express* Dan Heng: ò^ó

he {along with the trailblazer} doesn’t have an icon on the missions panel -> The spear is Welt's, as seen in the middle image although i suppose the spear could be Dan Heng's and the little circles inside the flames could be Welt but the design is closer to the old man's

✨☁️CLOUD MOTIFS☁️✨ -> that's such a corny cute lil detail, i love it

compared to Stelle and March, his Astral Express badge is a lot harder to see -> you have to rotate his avatar to get clear visual of it [also another cloud emblem on his pant leg]

i almost didn't want to include this one because it's such an obvious detail [the writing, not the attacks] that it's not really 'noticing' it's 'commenting' -> still tho, im curious as to what the script on his coat means. and im an absolute sucker for this kinda design -> His attacks mimic calligraphy strokes!

finally, maple leaves. more specifically- the symbolism behind these leaves -> It varies a little between cultures but the most common interpretations are 'honor', 'wisdom', and 'strength' -> it can also be taken as a symbol of protection, but that's lesser known -> Celtic, Chinese, and Japanese folklore all liken the leaves to an abundance of character but both Chinese and Japanese cultures see them symbolic of 'lovers'

what's really interesting about the 'honor' aspect is that Blade's moniker 'Blade' is also a symbol of honor -> which ties their characters together a bit more but also mb smth else yk yk ^ that's purely speculation and hopefulness though, i have no basis for it

HC for the road: Boothill saw Dan Heng scrunch his nose during the time they were teamed up and instinctively poked at it to smooth it out [it reminded him of when his daughter would pout]

HAIIIIIIIIII!!! how r u bookie bearrrr! i just finished rereading thawed andddd i have some reader(my reader) headcanons to give u<33

1) reader w an eyepatch!! yknow, from ch 2 where she sneaked on a mission and got burnt,,, it could be a scar under there or maybe she cant see in that eye but idk yet

2) her rat tail-ish hair!! i hc that when she was young, she really idolized arlecchino and growed her hair so they could match... and so heres the juicy part. lyney notices that when they spar, reader's hair kind of gets in the way bc its only kept by one singular hair tie. but she still slays tho so it wasnt really a problem but lyney is a simp so he begged lynette to teach him how to braid (i hc lynette does his braids) so that he can braid reader's hair. and after like weeks of him offering her to braid her hair, she finally lets him. after that, lyney would always braid her hair when he sees it bothering her orrr she sometimes(like, maybe 3 times) approaches him first to do her hair (bro was over the moon trust me)

that why it is now her default hairstyle(maybe its for closure,,,)

3)her vision is as close to her as possible bc its the only thing that gives her worth,,,

4) columbina. thats it, thats the tweet.

5) i forgor to draw it but i also hc that she wears gloves when she goes out bc some of those scars dont look like it comes from plants,,,

Hey!!! Thanks for asking! I don't have everything refined just yet, I kinda wanted to see other ppls interpretation of what the premise of a sugar rush twst event would be, but I can surely give you my take and notes on some things💙

This story would mainly be about Adeuce and them having a fight and then reconciling. They'd have some moments of hostility before the big final game, and then the big climax would be them making a truce and basically sticking a middle finger to the twst ver of king candy (might make him later idk). Think of it as Vanellopes' climactic moment w/ king candy just adeuce themed lol.

Also, with the climax, I feel like Deuce would be winning before twst king candy knocks his cart over, injuring him. Ace sees this and decides to help him at the risk of losing the race. Ace and Deuce decide to finish the race happy day then reconcile and everything's hunky dory yay

When the crew are making their carts, I feel like Ace and Deuce would be fighting over who would get the pie cart. During the cart-making process, the two would be arguing (w/ yuu trying to stop them) while everyone else is over their crap and just trying to design their cute lil carts

This last point might not be very helpful with fanfic making, but I feel like everyone would have a "code name". They would have to make up really stupid names for themselves to fit in with the other racers (since the super rush chars have rlly stupid names lol). I also feel like the twst crew would make up lore for their sugar rush personas just for fun. So make whatever lore u want for their personas I think it'll be hilarious

more work on my carnival/circus + casino cogs!! they're very sillay and self indulgent because if you don't know by now i love designs with suit symbol themes + cards game themes in general (which is why hr was such a bit hit w/ me) (IM LITERALLY CALLED GUZMA SPADES if i shorten my name PLEASEEEEE)

i've been struggling with jack of all trades for months now - and finally sitting down and designing the cast of cogs that's supposed to come with them really motivated me. feels good to sit down and just do a design without stressing over it. JOAT will still take a while to finalize, as will everyone else - but i am very happy what i've got so far! carnival barker needs work though, i don't like him very much yet but i suppose that was my rushed attempt to make his head design not be an obvious a furry artstyle.

at least currently, they do not belong to any particular departments. they're sort of supposed to be their own thing. my idea for them that they'd function as contractors - one day settling in toontown with their circus hoping to get new attention on their show (seeing as hr's show was a hit, and they're very familiar with who they are. this follows my headcanon and story that high roller is not non-canon and sticks around as a separate being from dave and buck obviously)

perhaps getting toons to visit their carnival and circus is just the right thing! but, of course, that doesn't mean they're not shady - it is very much so a cog carnival, still.

perhaps they don't ever work or contract for cogs inc ever, but they still mutually agree to let their carnival happen there. and so they don't have official departments? since to me those mainly exist within cogs inc and not the whole cog society. i still gotta figure it out! but i'll do that once their designs are more set-in-place and they have deeper dynamics between each other. especially JOAT who feels disconnected from the other 3 to me.

3rd life : this is the starting point i went off for all of them obv :3 though i chose this type of hand holding in particular because it's close, it shows how clingy they are to eachother and how they want to hold onto eachother, keep eachother safe! the bracelets are representative of eachother,, grians is of pizza's blanket. thing as scar was usually the one who primarily cared for the llama rather than grian, whilst scar has the pizza tribute banner design as grian made that banner for scar! another thing to note is that grian has alot of freckles, because he's in the desert with alot of sun and can't really wear his sweater!

last life : pinky holding!!!!! i chose that for last life since quite alot of grian and scar's interactions in this season had to do with deals and things like that, so i had the idea of 'pinky promises' in mind for that :) their bracelets are a little bit dirty due to them being in. a death game of course, and scars has some ash atthe bottom of his due to his death in lava! and originally i had intended to show that grian had less freckles in this one, and i even drew it out, and then proceeded to remember that my last life grian design has gloves bjfjvt i also managed to forget the wrist hearts for this one, whoops!

double life : i chose this type of hand holding because it looks as if grian is pulling scar away from something, which is something i imagine he had to do alot during this season! their bracelets have become much more tattered since, again, death games and just general wear and tear on hermitcraft aswell. on the tips of their fingers they have a slight purplish hue to them, and also some snow at the tips of scars fingers to show that scar was in powdered snow! (this was kind of inspired by this piece from applestruda, which i looove muah muah)

limited life : admittedly i was SUPER sick while i did this one so theres not really alot of secret little details :( but i chose this sort of hand holding bc it looks kind of secretive! like someone holding hands under a table to hide their relationship or something, bc i sort of love the 'secret teen movie relationship' vibes some people have with lim life scarian!! their bracelets have gotten alot more tattered, being basically one row of the bracelet now showing its age and such

secret life : i chose this hand holding because i personally view the secret life time as the sort of turning point in their relationship, where they've finally gotten over how co dependant they were in 3rd life and have finally accepted that it happened! i mean, grian asked scar to alliance with him, which is something in previous seasons which he has shown he didnt want to do (even if scar had to turn him down cause of his task), they also aren't clinging to eachother like they usually are - in all other seasons they tend to hang around eachother, even if they're not allied, whilst in this one they've left themselves ally and focus on other people, nd i view this on them being more stable in their relationship - the hand holding pose i chose seems somewhat loose, like they're willing to let go, they're not clinging onto eachother like in 3rd life

ok onto the bracelets fkhjhfjbf they still have the thread from their old bracelet but they've added onto them! this symbolises how they've accepted the events of 3rd life, and that they still need to carry on with life regardless of it! i picked out their main colours for this, grians has scars main colour of green and scar has grians main colour of red! they also have charms!!!! scar has a golden wing charm whilst grian has a silver cat charm :D

(another note : i chose those specific metals bc - whilst i didnt put the ring designs in the handholding art - they match what metals i have in my ring designs for them >:3)

Fairy lights hung over a blanket with more blankets and pillows and a picnic basket (no wonder the fuxker wasnt helpin earlier he had just done this!) you were practically tearing up which had HIM confused

But when you practically tackled him with a hug(something only you were allowed to do fyi) while thanking him over and over,her realized you were

hi friends :D! i FINALLY finished my concept art for mythos!Jon and im so happy with him- look at him. plese. i spent so long on this

the sketches were all of my initial concept art for him! he's. so fun to draw. even if it did take me a bit to figure out how to do so. i love his hair ;_; <3

overall his design is very inspired roman Catholicism but. like. more fun? idk lol i just vibe with it. might make the tie darker? and the gloves with his cassock might look good with another color? eh! whatev, i might change it i might not- but this is it so far :D!

so, as a young child Jon grew up neutral on religion. his grandmother didn't favor any one of the gods more than the other and that sort of thinking carried over to him for a good while

when Jon was 8, he had a close encounter with a creature born from the Web: a giant spider that would tell you your fate (and possibly offer you a gift) if you gave it a sacrifice

Jon had found an old fable book with a map to it's nest. of course he had no intention of following it, just enjoying the stories inside! but a thief snagged the book from him- and upon realizing what the book led too -took Jon with him as his sacrifice

when they reached the nest after a long journey, the thief presented Jon to the spider. but the spider did not take him, it took the thief- and the little Jon could only watch, frozen in terror, as his captor was eaten by the giant spider.

after it finished its meal, the spider told Jon that his fate was of a cosmic importance, "I'm quite excited to see how this plays out," it said.

naturally this was kinda traumatizing for the child that literally just wanted to read but ok :l

the whole experience brought jon a phobia of spiders, a distrust and fear of strangers, general paranoia, ptsd, and a rejection of the webs power and the concept of fate as a whole

now- its not uncommon for some people to reject the powers of certain gods? some things born from their power are quite unpleasant, so there are steps one may take to protect themselves from the powers of one or more of the gods. (its complicated to explain but i hope that makes sense-)

suffice to say jon does NOT want to be controlled or have his fate decided by anyone or anything like that! being THAT important is scary!!! so he tries very hard to prevent any powers of the web coming near him- and he also tries to keep a low profile so he can live a calm and peaceful life without. yknow. being an important part of the fate of the entire bloody world.

he turns to the cult of the Beholding for salvation. after all, its whole thing is being aware and knowing things, and jon wanted nothing more than to know what wanted to hurt him and what didn't.

moving to London, he joined the House of Magnus, and went from a devotee to a researcher.

he became friends with Tim: a man who turned to the beholding out of his own rejection for the Stranger, and Sasha: a young woman who'd worshipped the beholding and worked at the house of magnus her entire life.

things were great for a while, and then the head archivist, Gertrude Robinson, disappeared.

normally the previous archivist would choose someone to pass the position down to, but her disappearance meant that the current head of the church, Elias, would have to choose instead. and he gave the position to Jon

it was absurd! Jon didn't want the position of archivist- everyone knew about the prophecy and Jon certainly didn't want that much pressure on him!!

not to mention- it became pretty much expected that Sasha would become the next archivist! given her history of devotion, her skills, all the work she did for everyone, hell- Gertrude even mentored her for half her life for god's sake!

Elias's reasoning was that Gertrude had broken the Archivists oath: to always protect and preserve knowledge. he claimed that the Ceaseless Watcher itself had requested Jon rather than Sasha, as Gertrude's choices were not to be trusted. and it was not up for debate what their patron wanted...

so there was no choice. jon was terrified, sasha was devastated, and tim was furious for them both.

the ceremony went on, jon was given the Watchers Crown (the sacred headpiece of the archivist) and then he went down to the archives with tim and sasha as his chosen assistants.

Elias sent down another down with them- Martin, a librarian who devoted himself to both the eye and the web. Jon was not so keen to be trusting a devotee of the web, especially with all the stress going through his head at the moment- so he wasn't very warm to martin.

as the archivist- jon does his best to do the work he was given, frequently requesting help and teachings from sasha as she clearly knew more about this than him. all throughout, he squished any spider he found. and stubbornly refused to give in to any possible notion of him being the one from the prophecy. he couldnt be. he refused it.

but the will of one man is far outweighed by that of a god, and at some point he just might have to accept the responsibility he deep down knows is his...

hmmmm im ngl the trailer itself as a like prelude to what is coming in 5.0 intrigue and plot wise is like. compared to the region teasers that came before w lazzo and overture. its just. its kinda bad im sorry KWKJKWDJKWDJK like okay cool seeing the new cast and production value is high as always (+ music) but its such a middling teaser for the story itself?? it feels like a powerpoint presentation of the cast more than anything narratively coherent with an inherent draw and mystery

like theres mavuika speaking to the flame thingy (xbalanque that u? "one entombed in the primal fire" perhaps????) with some intrigue i suppose as well as her brief thing w capitano. ororon also appearing to be working together or aligned with capitano given theyre standing together there which could make for an interesting plot thread but beyond that its very.... eh. its not giving us a lot to grip onto ya know???? and thats rly a shame especially since i also felt that way abt the teaser in the 4.8 livestream. i wish we got more

and sure theres a tournament wahoo but like. its really Not helping to hype up that thing when half the introduced cast isnt being like "OMG the tournament!!!!1!1 this is HUGE!!!1" (or even. "oh no this is BAD!!!1" to set up basic conflict. like why would they dread it?) but instead just. character design wise uhhhh. well theres the obvious huge fucking issue here and while id say that hoyo p much already showed their true colors on the matter with sumeru that doesnt rly. make it any less disappointing and egregious wrt all the cultures and peoples theyre So willing to gather inspiration from in all possible aspects Other than the diversity of the people themselves. like its just... bad and such a shame but also not very surprising unfortunately.

(and really it just. looks especially bad given they clearly Can put melanin on people its just... enemy mobs only.)

in terms of the actual cast i do like kinich and ororons designs v much, the design motifs of the latter especially are interesting bc those eye-like patterns are almost giving quantum symbol (= black hole imagery) to me???? and thats V interesting especially if hes actually working w capitano and the fatui. now him being a cat boy or whatever animals ears those turn out to be isnt like sth thats huge for Me personally but i do think hes valid and also W for anyone whos into that, congrats guys im happy for u ! but like fr itd be such an insane twist if hoyos Finally introducing the void quantum abyss whatever element w him (and maybe cap too.) bc that symbol Rly is looking Curious. or then hes just electro lol. for kinich its like. yeah fair he might be xiao-tighnari-gaming from minecraft ill admit that but. i do like the color scheme and his outfit a lot JKWJKDJKDWJKD so like i forgive it

xilonen again w the kemomimi isnt sth im particularly into or not into but she looks cool, depending on personality and how her kit synergies turn out (+ assuming the chiori rerun, the fate of those pulls too), i might try for her as well? theres an Energy to her i like it. if she has proper Attitude and flair thats gonna be a massive bonus for me

mualani i think is rather bland to me, sth about her outfit and design just doesnt click for me even if the shark thing from the teaser before is neat and everything. the chibis are never sth im actively drawn to but like both do look okay, im kinda hoping kachina could be a lynette moment for 5.x and end up a free 4* since her exploration roomba looks p fun

anyway then theres. mavuika and i. well at least the design wasnt. That concept art one (ThoseWhoKnow...) . so instant massive W improvement solely on that basis holy fucking shit but ehhhhh im sorry i still dont know how to feel abt the very modern like. biker bodysuit thingy. im not a huge fan of the bodysuit type designs anyway so its not that surprising but still. her eyes + hair is absolutely stunning tho like not a question at all.

tbh in a way i kinda feel like having too many Thoughts on her design is kinda just unnecessary bc like. shes the archon. of Course the kit is going to be insane so i will get her anyway (UNLESS a pyro onfielder JKWJKJKWJKWJKWFKJ like god please no). and in terms of like is her design and energy from what this vid is giving us good enough that i wont like. Actively resent having to get her for meta and strong teams??? Absolutely. so in that sense ig its all cool lmao

but yeah. idk i just think as a teaser for the upcoming story its rly a shame how weak this felt for me???? like sure overture ended up being a bit of a misleading teaser since it gave the impression of arle as this mastermind of the fontaine AQ which didnt rly happen but it still served as a source of hype and intrigue. and yes lazzo is sth that can Never rly be beat in terms of how out of nowhere it was and how fucking insane the whole harbinger reveal went (+ elogia cinerosa existing) for lore and long term hype but its just. unfortunately those 2 are the regional teasers this natlan one is supposedly meant to parallel and it just didnt deliver anything comparable to those for me

like still looking forward to natlan and seeing the rest of its cast (like im fairly convinced the flame thingy might be xbalanque and hes gonna be a big deal ultimately or sth) and where it goes and all its environments but this trailer didnt rly. grip me the way i wouldve expected it to. which is unfortunate kdjkdwjkwjkdwj but yea thats all

Yes! - when you look at his child sprite, there's no space for muscle to grow there. It does make me wonder if all the bulk we see on him is leftover from fighting in the Coliseum? They probably would have wanted to keep their top fighter in somewhat decent condition, and then his life since would have involved lots of physical labor to survive off the grid with minimal food intake.

It does make me wonder how his shape changes over time, as he settles down with MC. Does he develop a comfortable dad bod? Does he never really gain the biggest appetite, and end up with a (still big) but less muscular frame? Does retaining physical strength become a way he keeps himself feeling safe, so the muscle stays but with some added mass from a healthy diet?

At first I didn't liked much Kaine but OMG!!! I grew to love her so much??? Like, seriously, can I be her friend?? pleasepleasepleaseplease

I admit it, her design doesn't fully convince me yet, is... quite uncomfortable to look, although I read a comment of someone who things that her desing is to highlight her femininity because, u know her condition (to not make spoilers alright, im not trying to be disrespectful or discriminate) and I grow to like her desings a little more <33

Getting close to Kaine is far from easy, she is always at the defensive and even rude to anyone who interacts with her, cursing and brandishing her swords at the smallest threaten, and yet if you manage to win her trust then Kaine will become caring and even quite loyal to your friendship

Due her past experiences and the education her grandmother give her Kaine is always to make the first attack, but once you get to know her better and show that you are trust worthy then Kaine will finally start to relax at your side and let herself open up a little more

Becoming best friends of Kaine will take a while but once it happens it is going to for the rest of your lifes, Kaine is more close and doesn't let anyone get into her heart but if someone manage to leave that kind of positive impact on her then it is going to become one of the reasons of why Kaine will keep fighting and continue doing her best in life

In the exterior it may seem like the same, despite being best friends she will still be quite rude at times and cursing you a lot, but if you know her you can see that she doesn't really mean to be rude or mean to you, is just the way she is, and once is just the two of you, either taking time to relax or just traveling together Kaine is more open with her feeling, indirectly showing how much she cares for you and love you as if you were her family

Despite her rude exterior Kaine is really kindhearthed and if she sees someone in danger she would help, and, of course, you aren't the exception, if you ever are in danger or need help in anything Kaine will do her best to try to help you. She is better when it comes with violence and fighting, so if you are in physical danger she is more than ready to throw her hands into battle to protect you if you can't, but if is something that doesn't has to do with fighting she will have some troubled but will do her best to help (as long as she doesn't have to go inside of any city is alright)

Kaine is not good when it comes to handling feelings, she normally bottle up her own feelings and deal with them alone and not showing them (or some times she vents his frustrations by fighting), but since you two are close she will be a little more open and willing to show them, whenever you two are alone and just relaxing she may be willing to talk about it a little and more likely will do it indirectly, she will be willing to tell you a few stories about her past, like a few hints about her childhood and the hate she used to recive or maybe about her grandmother and all the lessons she taught her

After a while of being friends and getting so close it will reach a point where Kaine just follow you around, she will become quite protective over you, she doesn't want to lose you nor anything bad happening to you and honestly she wil be more than willing to sacrifice herself in order to protect you, and she will be even happy to do so (as long as it is after taking revenge for her grandmother)

If she met you after getting to met Nier then once she decide to become his blade and follow him she will be a little troubled, because she already had you in her life and don't want to betray your friendship, so she will talk to you about it alone, asking you if you want to join her in her new journey to help Nier but also telling you that you don't have to accept, as well she will tell you that she will totally understand if you don't want to go or even hate her for leaving you alone, if you decide to dont go with her then she will try to pay you a visit a whenever she can and will even gift you one of the luna tears her grandmother left her, in any case your memory will always live in her mind and heart

No matter how close you two get and how much she trust you is more likely that Kaine will never tell you about Tyrann, not because she thinks you'll judge her but she feels like this problem is nothing but a curse that she should carry alone, she doesn't want to bother you with something that will not even affect you in any way, she is the only one suffering from it and she prefer it that way, having Tyrann constantly teasing and even mocking her is a burden but you shouldn't have to be bothered by it or even be worried for her because of it because there nothing she or anyone else can do (still, Tyrann tent to mess with her by saying that she is too insecure to talk about it, saying that she probably is just afraid that you will also call her monster or phenomenon like everyone else and that she will not be able to handle it)
