Also me, after showering in literally scalding hot water for a whole week: So I finally figured out how to turn the temperature cooler so I can take my shower hot instead of all fires of hell had risen hot. Good job

I'm heading home after going on 6 hikes in 3 days and hiking over 24 miles. 3 of those exploring the mammoth cave system at the Mammoth Cave National Park!! And the rest, above ground trails.

I sincerely enjoyed my trip (which is my first personal vacation ever!!) and had some important growth traversing the South. Passing, finding queer spaces, going into some sus ones- and testing the boundaries of what reality and my anxiety actually are.

My time here has actually brought up a lot of negative self talk, that's anxiety based. I don't love that, but it gives me areas to grow. To learn and figure out myself.

I love living where I do. But it is a healing bubble that's soothing a lot of myself. That gives me the peace to help me feel normal. I know what it is, but after transitioning (a continuous journey), my anxiety changed. It turned into fear of awkwardness to fear of people, and over time, fear of my trans identity.

I'm getting used to people seeing me as a gay cis man (when I'm really I'm a bi trans man). My brain tries to do the math in those moments and it takes a little bit. I'm figuring out why the heck people act odd or normal sometimes. And most often- don't care. Whither they feel one way more than another, it's not my business. I still remind myself of that, and other times I don't have to. I'm being.

It's been a good adventure. Reclaiming and being more of myself is such a powerful and healing experience. This love for myself is beautiful.
