okay. i believe now it's time to put it all together.

ep 1 the anglerfish: all in all, i like this episode. it did a good job of establishing the world, characters and plot of the magnus archives podcast as a whole. we are introduced to jon and his coworkers. the statement is believable and has a good mix of mystery and creepiness, with jon at the end bringing the perspective of an investigator in.

ep 2 do not open: not entirely sure how i feel about this episode ngl. i'm always a bit queasy when drugs are mentioned, and they were mentioned a lot. also, the coffin was literally just too much for me i was so scared and i WANTED to know what was in it. i do like the fact that he froze the key into a bowl of ice and then shattered it when it needed to be collected.

ep 3 across the street: i did not like this one. it wasn't so much as amy's actions that threw me off - although i didn't like that either - but it was more so the fact that seeing someone being replaced like that is my greatest fear. i kept thinking, "what if that were my sister and i was the one watching. . ." and that is a HORRIFYING thought to be having so no thank you.

ep 4 page turner: while i didn't like ep 3 because I was genuinely scared, page turner was the first episode where i actively got bored while listening. i just... it was only a book that made dominic feel as though he were falling by just looking at a picture and then maybe some ghost action at the end? it was not for me, sorry.

ep 5 thrown away: this one i liked lol. it wasn't because of the scariness, or the characters, it was literally just, "i like this story cus it fits." i have no clue why i felt that way but i really liked the statement. the description of the contents of the bags and the mysterious culprit.

it’s time for a loooooong update

so there is tension that is building up like a background buzz in the gc bc remember that on main they have to look mindful and demure bc they know the cast and crew lurks so the anger the madness the pettiness needs to stay hidden

they were so happy in ep 1 but what they really wanted was that emergency even more than them living together bc tommy helping would’ve established his role in the 118 and how new work partner for buck

this emergency was going to give them interaction with the 118 but mostly with athena and since they have already buck and bobby talking about tommy they wanted athena too

they needed him to be a hero so everyone was going to be grateful to him

first they were sure about ep2 bc they thought the tim would’ve really have him being landed inside the hole in the cockpit and then they were sure about ep3 bc if the 217 truck is there he NEEDS to he there otherwise too much waisted potential

and they are mad MAD rn bc the spent all summer so sure he would’ve been main, that ostark and lfjr would’ve promoted the show together, interviews, joint photoshoot, him being featured in the poster, him in the promo, him being the white savior of the plane emergency

and seeing this kind of deranged in their closed quarters where no one can really see im really “scared” of what they will do when tommy is going to go away

Wow, imagine spending months raising hell just to be wrong in all fronts. They got a random flight instructor to talk Athena through the landing, they had a literal child being her copilot, not a single mention of him along with the implication that 217 is the not harbour since it was referenced as an engine, and Hen and Chim were the first ones on the plane to help. And that along with the scene he was in to remind the audience he exists was about Eddie and he did not fit in. He's not established as part of the firefam, he's not in the field with them even though he could've easily been included. Plane emergency, no one thought about him, and they played themselves because at no point watching Athena and Jem land that plane anyone thought "oh wow this would be better if we had a real pilot". He was gonna be a main and 3 episodes in, he has less than 2 minutes of screentime in the season, he's completely irrelevant. No promo, no interviews, 2 lines and absolutely nothing of substance. I would feel bad if I wasn't getting death threats. I'm just laughing. Well done, guys, you went to war for racist tree #3 and you're losing badly.

I've never been this unsure of what I feel about certain characters before. These two truly play in a very morally grey area where im not sure of what to think about them. I understand that both of them have reasons to act the way they are, him being mentally abused by his in laws and also his wife to a certain extent so i can't really blame him for being happy that his wife is diying but to change his actions completely and "showering her with love", just so she would change the will and put the store in his name is sociopath behaviour and I dont know how long ill be on board with this(not that i completely agree but ill give him a pass for now) .

We don't really know why the wife is acting this way and what made their relationship turn so sour cus it can't just be because of the in-laws. I guess we'll find out as the show progresses but rn I'm conflicted as there are sides to the husband that are not bad and he truly did love his wife once. I also love how he has a very compassionate side to him as seen in both the episode (warning the shop manager about the eviction laws before hand in ep 1 and the hunting scene in ep2 where he refused to kill an animal 'just because' and scared the deer away instead), we also see him coming to his wife's rescue at the end where he could have easily just let the boar kill her. I don't think he's completely fallen out of love with her.

I'm also not sure why the wife doesn't show her affection towards her husband when she's clearly still very much in love with him but i guess we'll find that out later

I have very high hopes for this drama as we are only on ep2 and have a long way to go so i'll stick with it for now but if they don't have some major developments that make me root for them I might drop it soon.

Hi i keep thinking about this (also pls keep in mind im only on s6 and only just finished ep2 of criminal minds so)

Imagine flying home from a case with the rest of the BAU team, somehow Prentiss and Morgan got you and JJ to join in on their conversation about who you think is kinky within the team. Privacy invasion aside it mainly resides between the four of you, which is just a bunch of deflecting, either from embarrassment or because they weren’t into it. You weren’t satisfied though, you had a sneaking suspicion Spencer was hiding more than he was letting on, so why not bring him up? Force him into the conversation?

“You know who I think is probably the most kinky one here? Reid” Morgan laughed and so did Prentiss. But you kept your eyes trained on Reid, that seemed to be enough to pull him out of his book world.

After both sets of giggled calmed down, Emily spoke up, “Reid? No way in hell, he’s too innocent!” You smiled, “exactly! C’mon its always the innocent ones!” You had his full attention now, though the others may not have noticed it (yet) his eyes were trained on you instead of his book.

“Alright, what do you think he’s into then? Submissive or dominant?” Morgan asked you, it wasn’t unusual to talk about Reid in front of him either, assuming he was too focused on his book.

“Oh he’s definitely submissive like c’mon! Probably into like bondage or something like that, I don’t know, but definitely not dominant.” Your eyes fixated on Spencer again, not missing the way his jaw clenched slightly and the way he was gripping the poor book like it was trying to run.

After the flight ended with everyone made their way back to the bullpen to collect some things only to be on their way out the door a few seconds later. You stopped at your desk, looking over the files that had been dropped off. Spencer came up behind you, he didn’t trap you in, put he leaned forward enough just to whisper in your ear.

“You know you seemed pretty confident about me on the plane, you wanna test that hypothesis? Cause you might’ve missed a few details. You know where to find me” and with that he walked out, leaving your knees buckled and a little weak.

you've talked a bit about where you think the ray crying scene takes place but what are your top suspicions so far?

im starting to think that we won't see him go to rehab next episode, but the room doesn't look like one we've seen before, the books and decor might be a clue but i can't make anything of them, and ray looks like maybe he's dressed for university? but sand is in his leather jacket....

this has been haunting me since yesterday

The clothes plus the books could insinuate that this is a school setting, but it looks a little too homely for that imo. I’m also fascinated with the positioning, because Sand is in the chair and Ray is on the ground in front of him. I’m wondering what precedes the preview clip to get them in that state.

It looks like a house of some kind of me, but I can’t imagine what house they would be in that we haven’t already seen. Ray’s mansion is pretty massive, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if there was a room like this there. More than likely, it’s another location though.

Side note, but I originally thought it could be the room where Ray saw his mother’s body in the flashback from Ep2. I’ve compared the pictures though and it resembles it slightly, but there are enough differences to where I don’t think they’re the same.

I keep wondering if the location itself has to do with why Ray’s so upset. If it is some kind of clinician’s office, I could see how that could be a space where Ray gets emotional. Maybe it’s an office at the university, though I’m not sure why Ray and Sand would be there. If it’s related to Ray’s addiction, Sand likely agreed to go for moral support.

Really, I’m just anxious to know what could have possibly sparked such a strong reaction from Ray. The only other time we’ve seen him weep this much is in the flashback in Ep4. Makes me think it’s definitely related to his past somehow, whether it be his mom or his own addiction.

To come back to your question though, my top suspicion rn is some type of office, but I’m ready to be proven wrong.

Well, good luck then. Just pace ur self and take ur time, and I will wait patiently for the next Dead Ringer episode. I am also reasonably sure by the time you get more into making Bonnytale, ur work on Dead Ringer would give you practice in making storyboards and Bonnytale more in general.

Last of all; it is really cool u added captions to Ep1 and Ep2 of Dead Ringer! If u ever did add them to Ep3 and Ep4 (or at least add captions to like, the cut off dialogue in Ep4 if that is possible. If it is not, that would be understandable. And/or add them for harder to read dialogue; that isn't purposely hard to read) and/or future episodes too. That would be awesome!

Though i thought the storyboard was worrying for me when really it’s was just the story itself that made me worried…that’s how i know i wrote something good!

Adding captions to 3 and 4 would take a long time so maybe i’ll get to it after the whole series is finished. Speaking on captions, thanks to your critic on captions being hard to see as “ineligible to read”, I think i figured out a way to make that message more clear next time so thanks!
