I like those two asks a lot! I've been waiting for someone to ask me about it for ages. Thank you!

First, about my MBTI. I am one pretty solid INTJ, I have a tendency to lean towards ENTJ in certain aspects tho. (As a little trivia on the side: I'm interested in MBTI and so have been researching functions etc. for quite some time now)

What got me into IE?

Simple. My brother. Summer 2018, he was always watching that annoying soccer show on TV at our grandparents' house, always asking me to come join him. And you know what? One day, I did, and it was one of the best decisions throughout my entire life. The show (only the first season back then) grew onto me rapidly, especially its lovable characters. Heck, IE had me in such a chokehold that I even played soccer with my brother bc of it. At the very beginning, Afuro was living in my head rent-free. He specifically helped me through some very rough times and I will never forget that. He will always be dear to my heart. I did get "out of" IE at some point for reasons, but I always wound up coming back to it cause turns out, no other franchise has ever quite given me as much comfort as this one. Across the last few years, I've been always returning to it with my thoughts whenever it got especially bad. I'm glad I managed to properly come back to it and have it be a big part of my everyday life (hyperfixation be damned (very lovingly)).

Now, imo, Chrono Stone deserves a honorary mention. The CS game (and later the anime) made me feel approximately ten times better than the rest of IE, and that's something. Long story short, I picked up the game from the store the first time I was into IE right after I had done research and learned that this franchise is actually based on games. There was no other game there, so I thougt this would do, too. Then I didn't touch it until 2021. The reason I started playing it was that I desperately needed to escape reality and CS succeeded at distracting me excellently. Coming home in the evening to open my Nintendo was the single highlight of my day.

How did I become insane over Sarufei?

Good question, anon. I cannot really pinpoint the moment it happened, but I can tell you it was pretty quick. Their first bits together already caught my attention in the most brain-tickling way possible, like this one:

The CS manga panel where they let Saryuu cry after he lost and Fei reassures him played into that too (I bought the manga solely for that, but turns out it was overall good). I could go on and on about their psychological aspects that spoke to me right off the bat, but I'll spare you that. Before I knew it, I was trying to search out content of them at 3 am on a week day (good content of them is pretty hard to come by with, in my experience at least). My head was really really really full of them, as it is now as well. They're pretty much the reason I picked up drawing & content creating again after years. The first thing I did after I finished playing CS was draw them and create a social media account so I can post it, so I can find someone to talk about them to. I had to channel how unhinged I'm over them somehow. They're also the reason I still keep on drawing. They make so fucking ill and I'm rotating them in my head at all times.

In conclusion, thanks for letting me go wild through text although this is by far not the best thing I've ever written

So what are your thoughts on Remus x Barty.

Im not quite sure they could work together so that’s why im writing them together but I see Remus as a more sane Evan. And a tiny bit more of a loser.

Barty is fun. You know him quite well, anyway.

It’s like rosekiller but at the same time I can never see Remus handling Barty well, I think for wolfstar angst it would definitely work. Where Remus went with Barty (because Barty and Sirius do have a similar style. Just Barty does it better) and Sirius is really jealous. That’s where you could add Evan. Because Sirius and Barty, and Evan and Remus. My mind is all over the place so I apologize for how much of a mess this ask is.

Barty would be a toxic ex for Remus. They tried it, and it never really worked out. Unless there were others. Like if you added other people it could work, because the main thing pulling them apart is that Barty is much too insane. Other people could handle that part, and they could actually be happy.

Maybe Evan would work. I’m not sure, but that is not my point!

Barty is energetic and Remus is not. So it works like a family dynamic (which probably isn’t good for a relationship) so all that aside, now I’m wondering about friends. Because I think it’s all or nothing. But at the same time there’s so many factors to think about.

So, what do you think about it?

i must admit i’ve never thought about it before…but the way you’ve phrased it here has definitely piqued my interest. i’m a loser!barty truther, and i see him as the kind of guy to skip merrily over to a dungeons and dragons club after giving someone the best sex of their life. i see him and remus as somewhat similar in that sense (they’d both be classified as ‘weird’ in an american high school), and they’re mostly separated by the fact that barty is extroverted, and remus is not (↤ take this with a very generous pinch of salt). barty wears his ‘loserness’ with a sense of unbothered flippancy; he does not care that his interests are stereotypically ‘weird’, and he will happily ramble on about the latest instalment of whatever vampire comic series he’s into at the moment (whilst blowing vape smoke into your face). on the other hand, remus is somewhat more self-aware- he’s shyer and much more awkward, and definitely extremely self-concious. however, i do still see him as having that same cruel streak running through him that is very prominent in barty’s character, to an undoubtedly lesser extent, but nonetheless present in him as well. remus can be cruel when he needs to be, whereas barty is cruel when he wants to be.

the idea of barty being remus’s toxic ex…yeah. this is the option i’m leaning most towards in terms of a ship between them, because barty crouch junior is the ULTIMATE toxic ex. he might as well have written the goddamn rulebook on it. with ships like bartylily, bartylus, they all work sm better (for me) with them broken up, and i think it’s safe to say i will be adding bartyremus (we need a proper shipname for them) to this list. i can see them meeting at some sort of convention, maybe hitting it off (barty talks!!!! and remus listens!!!!), but, as you said, barty is a bit too insane for remus. i think barty could unlock that aforementioned cruel streak in remus, he could bring out the worst in him. and i think this would scare remus away more than anything barty himself could do- remus leaves because he starts to hate himself, not barty (although he eventually hates barty for causing it). ie- it’s not barty throwing a plate against a wall that ends the relationship, it’s remus.

a lot of the time i like to think of barty as a foil to james, but it’s also really interesting to now think of him in comparison to remus. in the grand scheme of things, they’re not THAT similar (hence the generous pinch of salt mentioned above), but i can see them being drawn to each other due to similar interests or whatnot. i don’t see them as working particularly well as friends, but barty as That One Ex-Boyfriend? who makes remus roll his eyes when his name is mentioned? who sirius despises with a burning passion? who will hit remus with the “u up?” text at 3am? yeah. i can see that very clearly.

what’s the origin of your blog title? it's pretty self-explanatory, but some lore ig: my social tag used to be claretta.darksky (my name and my warriors cat oc) and i changed it mostly for professionalism. My personal account for non-art things was clarahitsstuff, so now my art handle is claradrawsstuff

otp(s) + shipname(s): maybe its the ace in me but i've never been a huge shipper (i love a good ship im just never thinking about them lol). If I had to pick one it'd probably be msr just because the canon leaves them open to so much interpretation (I love normal msr but am also a huge fan of qpr msr or ace interpretations). Those kind of -beyond-romantic-feelings ships are my fav (soulmates but not necessarily romantic in every universe ykyk)

favorite color: red, but like... spotlight red. alternatively, neon orange

favorite game: galaga but im not good at it. baldur's gate 3 is special to me bc it's really the first online game i've played. Scrabble if you start making up rules. Dnd counts too kind of

weirdest habit/trait? i don't know that i'm conscience of all of them lol. I have to lock cars and doors 2 or 4 times (specifically not 3) or i worry about them. I'm fairly vocal stim-y. I blush really harder when I'm talking about media i really like.

hobbies: DND! If I could breathe it, I would. I like analyzing media and leaving long reviews. Art (duh), music! I love to write but I've gotten away from it (I rp more often now bc its easier with my time commitments)

if you work, what’s your profession? i work as a stagehand at my college's concert hall! We get to set up audio and visuals for school events but also help load in/out touring shows (this year we're doing dance teams, a circus, a few broadway shows, etc!)

if you could have any job you wish, what would it be? I'd love to have a hand in all sorts of things but currently I think my dream job would be to help organize music festivals/performance events, and then perform on the side!

something you’re good at: I'd like to think I'm a good writer, my teachers keep telling me I am. Art and music (i hope lol), pretty okay at academics when i'm feeling good

something you’re bad at: self care omg. Tell me why I can't seem to fix my sleep schedule for the life of me.

something you love: media analysis! Music (really all but my specialties are jazz and percussion), sci-fi/fantasy

something you could talk about for hours off the cuff: dnd. literally for days, probably. Any fixation show/book/media. Music theory is pretty up there. Gender studies and feminism and how sociology and group psychology affects those.

something you hate: there's not really a whole lot that irks me. if anything i guessed i'd be like... rich person arrogance vibes (although ironically I love writing characters like that soo)

something you collect: anything ant-man (its not even that i care that much anymore i just can't stop), washi tape, lighthouse calendars

something you forget: everything but its a toss up. There are some things I'm really good at remembering but they correlate at all and the same goes for what I forget.

favorite movie/show: Shows: TXF, Quantum Leap (specifically the 89 one, i haven't seen the new one), Resident Alien, Arcane, SPY x FAMILY, recently got into Dandadan, Supernatural is a new one for me too but it's good, Dungeon Meshi! Movies: Everything Everywhere All At Once. Any of the spiderverse movies are good, FernGully and Tangled and Treasure Planet were my childhood ones that i still watch, im sure there are others but my memory eludes me

favorite food: steaks up there. corn on the cob, like a good melt

what were you like as a child? really quiet socially but I opened up so much when I was comfy, nerdy, i did not gaf about people's opinions of me (unless it came to my hobbies, weirdly enough), awkward (i still am)

favorite subject at school? techincally i guess itd be music but that always felt like an exracurricular to me. My actually favorite class would've been calculus or maybe physics (the class wasn't that good but i love physics enough that it didn't matter), which is ironic bc i dont use either of those at all anymore

least favorite subject? history maybe, but it wasn't the subject i think it was just the class structure, i enjoy it more in college

what’s your best character trait? my optimism (i hope)! I like to think of myself as pretty upbeat.

what’s your worst character trait? horrible procrastinator. I also second guess myself a lot.

if you could change any detail of your day right now what would it be? it's been a horrific bedrot day for me so really anything. maybe that i had done my homework eariler instead of letting it loom over me.

if you could travel in time who would you like to meet? maybe like, Einstein. i think he'd be cool (unfortunately not an ideal time to be a time traveling woman)

recommend one of your favorite fanfics: im still trying to get more into fanfic. Here's a couple i've enjoyed so far. Queen of Swords by Labyrinth01 - character study-esque fic of Scully's recovery after her coma in s2. Stews in the reality of recovery, her relationship with Mulder is so in-character in the way that if this was in the show, i would believe it. the dusting of fall (the ridges of your bones) by the_raving_raven - one of my fav fics and i haven't even finished it. Super slow moving, so angsty, a big character study fic for dean winchester but it also delves into a really painful process of addiction recovery from sam and some of castiel's 'religious' trauma as well. Tomorrow is Long by SamQuixote - de-age supernatural fic but its the angsty kind instead of the shenanigans kind. an interesting study on dean's mentality and thought processes Cheer For Me? by darlingSuperstition - a lighter recommendation compared to the other three lol. this is a ranma1/2 fic but its like... secret identity mutual pining cheerleading au and for me not being a huge fluff person, i love it

In highschool I would often think what my handle on things would be if I ever got famous, and I adored One Direction. Niall's handle on twitter was niallofficial, so I did that but with a play on my name instead and used official.
