Right so my sibling has joined a discord group that does vigilante justice on online predators, think "To Catch a Predator" but instead of having anyone who knows what they're doing they're a load of terminally online idiots. They lure in people, I don't want to know their methods tbh, then publically berate them in a discord voice chat. That's it.

The group ethos is that public humiliation will cure them of being pedos, and that is not how that works actually, you fuckin morons. The rest of this server are aware my sibling is 16, btw, and are totally chill with them being in the same space as people they accuse of being the worst forms of scum imaginable (pedos, zoophiles, zoo sadists, you get the idea).

Im sure you can tell I can't fucking stand this server for many reasons. Firstly, because they claim to care about children's welfare whilst bringing my sibling into a space like this. Secondly, because this method does not work and they're giving any victims false hope. Thirdly, the vast majority of the people they managed to convince to get in call with them are clearly mentally disabled in some way, and, while that doesn't excuse predation obviously, I suspect the server picks these people in particular because they want to yell at audibly disabled people over voice chat. Finally, there's a weird vibe to a lot of the members of this group that, for lack of a better description, screams porn brainrot. They're so sexual all the time and in very inappropriate places, like a fucking server meant to deal with sexual predation. There's a time and place for puppy kinks and in a discord server where evidence of people sexually abusing animals gets posted is not it!

So I found out about this, compiled my evidence, then showed my sibling and basically blackmailed them into leaving the server or I was going to show our mother what they'd been up to. I reported the sever separately, and I'm not sure what else I can do about it tbh. I know they'll just make a new one if this one gets taken down.

My sibling is very annoyed with me. they've been banging on with teenage melodrama that I'm standing in the way of grassroots justice and shit like that. Eventually I snapped and said "I bet every one of those grown adults in that server is a nonce or a dog fucker or something, and making a group like that was just to cover their asses and focus the attention off of their creepiness."

elpis will snag food from heathcliff, ishmael, and sinclair, but if they were to be like "hey >:(" [or in sinclair's case, "hey :'("], elpis would go "teehee i was joking :3" and return it. this is especially common at breakfast, and eating a bagel increases the odds of it being stolen.

it is also not uncommon to find elpis returning don's action figures from their room.

the majority of interactions w/ elpis will be parallel play, so when they truly engage in something w/ a sinner, it's actually really sweet.

despite how much they hate the woman, they do it frequently with outis, if you can count arguing as a hobby... /hj the two of them actually mesh well in combat weirdly enough. gameplay wise, burn and rupture don't make sense, but the glass shards?? thats rupture baby! so they build on each other in combat. i guess that wasnt really the question LMAO. i just think these two deserve to fight each other (elpis loses 100% of the time, they are NOT trained in combat) sorry for rambling about them here.

hey hello hi!! it's been a hot minute but here i am ,, back with my first update after the long drought :,) ausgp was the first race of the season i actually go to properly watch - and ohman!! it was quite something

unfortunately i missed out on all the fp sessions because i've been busy with school, but quali was quite a run! the one takeaway i've gotten from the bits and pieces i've managed to gather over the weeks? none of these cars are safe from any issues whatsoever - everyone seems to be struggling with something (except maybe ferrari??) it's going to be quitee the season

i love how the rest of the field is getting a lot more competitive with each other !! seeing more battles other than just the one for first made me appreciate the event so much more!! it feels a lot more exciting this way <33

I'm really sorry about the wait. I didn't intend for it to be this long. I did have a suspicion I might need more time, especially since the day I was originally supposed to post this was the first day of school and just before that I had just pounded out a pretty major piece of writing in two days, so I was a bit burned out. But I've had low motivation because of school, and I've also been working on a pretty big project - I'm writing the script for a fangan comic on instagram (cerealronpa)! (it was pretty fun working on this story and that at the same time because they have COMPLETELY different moods haha.) It won't be out for a while yet and the premise is pretty different from my usual stuff, but I highly encourage you to check it out when it comes out.

anyway between Cerealronpa and school I definitely have less time and motivation than before, so I might push this back to updating every two weeks instead of weekly, sorry about that. I'm not entirely sure if I'll be able to even stick to that, given how long it took me to get this one out, but I'll do my best! it's a little better now that I've settled into a routine anyway.

wibta if I told my best friend they can no longer move in with my family next year?

Me (17f) and my friend (17) have been friends for about 5 years. Around 6 months ago we were discussing university and they mentioned they wanted to study at the university that is in my city. We discussed them potentially moving into my house while they study here. They would still be paying rent, it would just be a bit cheaper for them and we would get to live together. I discussed this with my parents and after a while they said yes. 

The problem is recently I haven't actually been feeling very supported or understood by my friend. This feeling kinda started when I expressed doubt about being able to succeed in the career I have been working towards because my mental health is shit and idk if I can deal with the pressure involved, and they said that they were glad I reached this conclusion myself because they didn't think I could do it either. Which kinda hurt yk like they were correct and I have switched plans as of now, but I feel they couldve been nicer. Other than that I feel like neither of have done anything wrong I just think this is an aging thing, we're no longer 13 and have changed in similar ways, but I've begun to realise the way we see the world is vastly different. Also we recently keep getting into petty arguments, which is kinda my fault bc im autistic and have very strong opinions and never know when to shut up, but they're also like that we're both just very stubborn and opinionated people. Basically I feel the friendship isn't as strong as it once was and I don't like the idea of having to live with them during uni (also dont really like the idea of living with anyone tbh I fucking hate socialising and want to live alone). 

I feel like it's important to mention that although them living with me is cheaper, their family is financially very stable so they could comfortably afford to live in the uni halls or some apartment. Telling them they can't live with me wouldn't be financially that bad, its more so that I said they could and I feel that going back on my word might be quite cruel? 

Also recentlyish we've been making plans of living together and buying a house etc and yeah basically a lot of commitments have been made at a young age and I feel quite trapped. Also feels relevant to add that this feeling is definitely not mutual and they have no idea I feel this way, I'm 99% sure they are still very eager to go through with all this. I'm generally quite a communicative person, it's just these are all pretty new feelings and I'm not sure exactly what I feel.

Also sorry another thing that's probably relevant, they're aroace and our relationship idk what it is but I think it kinda goes deeper than the average friendship its kinda like a qpr but not lol.

So yeah wibta if I told them they couldn't live in my house for uni and should find somewhere else?

Ok so the first thing u rly need to not do is to try and force it away cus that has a habit of at best causing distress and at worse reinforcing it.

I’m sure u know this but kinks, no matter how gross, are not a reflection of u as a person and while u understandably may be feeling bad about it, it’s not a bad thing and u shouldn’t have to feel bad. Brains are weird and do weird shit. Everyone has some kind of strange interest, that’s just part of the human experience.

Since ur feeling uncomfortable with it I would suggest just letting it be until u feel comfortable enough to address it without causing urself distress. It’s not something u have to engage with in any way if that is too much for u. That’s very much my approach to vomit stuff tbh cus that is very gross for me AND YET.

Also idk if it will help at all wrt the feeling gross and not cute but those are very subjective things. Theres gonna be people who see someone into any weird kink and think that it makes that person pretty damn cute, and if others could see u that way then with work surely it is possible for u to see urself that way? Perhaps when the idea is less scary to you it might be a good idea to approach ppl into those things and talk with them about what they like about it and other people who are also into it?

Also wherever trauma is a factor in distress, it may be a good idea to work on the trauma, but that’s general advice and not kink specific.

Is it wrong of me, to be a trans male(though I dont use that terminology, im just male) who doesnt want to date other trans people?

Hey there, Anon! I’m not transgender, so I’m definitely not an authority on this sort of topic (I’m intersex, however, and the categories of intersex I fall under are complex enough that I do meet a lot of trans folks, and do understand some of their personal experiences, for sure!)

Also though, I rly don’t think any one person, trans or not, can give you a solid “yes or no” answer to this... it’s going to be different depending on the person, of course!

From what I’ve learned from a variety of different trans ppl, it’s... complicated.  Like, basically you are NEVER obligated to date anyone who you don’t feel comfortable dating, and/or who you simply aren’t attracted to.  I think forcing yourself to date trans ppl (regardless of your own gender assignment) is probably nooooot the way to go, and could definitely end up hurting both of you!

But I’d also just rly, rly study why it is that you feel this way, you know? Not in a self-judgmental “am I a bad person or a good person/am I right/wrong?” sorta black-and-white way, but in a genuinely curious way -- be open and curious about yourself and why you feel the way you do about these things! 

Like, I’d ask questions along the lines of “what aspects of trans people do I find to be a turn-off/unattractive,” “what do I feel like dating a trans person would be like? What do I like/dislike about the idea?” And, especially important questions like, “would I feel differently if someone I didn’t know was trans (but was attracted to) turned out to be trans? Would that change things? Why/why not?”

And like I said, try not to judge your own answers to these questions -- these are only things to ask yourself, they’re not a quiz to see if you’re a good or bad person for feeling the way you do! Even if the answers to them end up being rooted in some form of transphobia, I mean.  That's rly just how it is sometimes.  And, of course, it’d be something to work on, but there’d be no point in beating yourself up over it, or forcing yourself into relationships that you’re not happy with, you know?

So, I guess the short answer is that it’s complicated! I’m a gay man, and I’ve dated a few trans men, personally, and I find that whether I’m attracted to them or not depends more or less on how they naturally feel about themselves but also how they present -- like, I could possibly be into a trans man who presented entirely as society’s idea of a woman, wore makeup, etc., and had no intention of going on hormones/having surgery, but... I’ll admit it’d be a lot harder.  Whereas, trans men who just give off that same masculine vibe that cis men do, and are on hormones and such, like -- for me, there’s virtually no difference between dating a cis or trans man at that point.  But that’s just my personal experience with the variety of men I’ve dated, ahahaha!

Also (and this is just a little bonus link if you’re interested), a youtuber called ContraPoints, who is a trans woman, came out as a lesbian in her most recent video titled “Shame”.  (If you know who Contra is and you don’t like her, that’s fine, just ignore this link).  But about 3/4 of the way through the vid, near the end, she talks about another trans woman she came out to, who turned her down.  And the reason that trans woman gave (for turning her down) was partially because she felt more validated in dating cis people; that dating another transgender woman didn’t give her that same validation, and that she’d be ashamed to do so.

I feel like that’s (whether secretly or openly) the case for a lot of people in the LGBT+ acronym, tbh.  It totally is unhealthy, but it’s still understandable, and is, again, more something to work through over time than to beat yourself up over!
