a year!!! as of today i have now been drawing these funny little pizza freaks, to the exclusion of almost everything else, for!!! an entire year!!! i wanted to do a nice group shot/lineup of everybody to compare to when i first started trying to draw them because oh boy were they bad. i never even posted most of them anywhere because they were so bad. but im posting them here, now, to see how everything's changed/evolved.

this is probably the hardest time i've ever had trying to figure out how to work with a style, but we got there eventually; i'm pretty happy with the handle i've got on everybody now...dont let ur memes be dreams. lots of unimportant journaling and idle thoughts abt it below.

the first one is the VERY first time i drew them, before i thought i was going to actually have any interest in drawing them [lmao]; it was just the one isolated image, for my friendserver, to illustrate the funney message, so there was no attempt to make it Good or actually understand anything going on w/ the designs or style.

second is the original run of practices sketches to start trying to figure them out for real; done after i started having ideas for the comics and such and realized oh god maybe i am actually gonna draw fanart for this. [again, lol, and lmao.]

third one is the first pt art thing i posted on here. there were a couple weeks of sprite studies between this one and the previous image. the one on the top right wasn't part of that post i just threw it on as space filler; i'd intended to shift to doing Sprite Redraws But Stylized to explore tings more, but that was the only one i did. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

individual characters

peppino: by far the hardest dear god. bro what ARE your shapes how DOES your face work. jesus christ. everything i have trouble with this style for, peppino has it in excess. i draw in polygons! i need consistency! and that is the last thing this kind of style is concerned with. they are made of squarshy clay and i do not understand how to mold them. i was really hoping trying to learn this game's style would GIVE me that kind of flexibility for fun exaggerated facial expression but i don't think much came of it in the end 😔. anyway on the bright side all this means once i got peppino figured out a little bit everybody else clicked way easier.

fake peppino: honestly i never did anything with him on purpose except for how his eyes work + the perma-smile thing. i figured ok hes supposed to look weird and off model so whatever happens with him happens. and it did. and it kept happening. it is still, in fact, happening.

noise/ette: somehow, for every bit that peppino was the least natural thing i've ever tried, these two worked pretty much right off the bat. i still don't understand it, seeing as pretty much all the things at play for peppino are also at work for them. i think the new sketches are actually a little worse than older ones but not enough that i care.

gustavo: really funny bc i drew him on model twice and just went 'okay, cool nice, easy, um. he doesn't have any fucking legs?' fortunately he was the only one i had a strong idea for how to stylize him [square] and it worked exactly as i was hoping so wahoo.

brick: is an animal and therefore 5000x easier and more natural for me to draw/stylize than anything else in the cast. that is Just a rat bro. i can draw a rat.

gerome: i think the funniest one here. the most drastic and least necessary change imo. i was gonna have him be really small at first, like smaller than the noises, but then i just... didn't. he's just peppino-sized now. also i gave him like. actual human facial structure, which is funny bc in most cases i'd do anything to avoid, but it works well for his being A Rock to give him some angles and definition like that+ to differentiate his vibe from the rest of the cast who are all very squishy. also since he is essentially Just A Head it's good to emphasize that too ig.

john: i only drew john a couple times but he gets to be here because i like him. and because most of the stuff i applied to gerome was readily applicable to john, though i did try to keep him a little more uncanny because he is a Huge And Lanky Freak. i hate that he is barefoot btw but idk how to make his color balance look right with shoes.

pizzahead: i did not want to put him on here honestly but i Have drawn him a handful of times and more importantly i didn't know what i was gonna do with john's pose if i didn't have him there to be glared at. the only thing that's different with him is giving him wider-bottomed pants, which i got from when i tried to draw these guys in clone high style [i never posted that one either][i will eventually]

snick: he gets to be here because 1. he's like 6 lines 2. i like him and 3. ive scribbled him a few times offhand and it went pretty well

misc

there are some guys missing because those are guys i didn't draw enough [or at all] to have gotten comfortable with them. sorry

i would have Liked to shade these but for the time being i have accepted that my grasp of light/shadow has decayed to the point im not going to be happy with anything i try there, so For Now i am working on my presentation with flats i guess. gerome has a shadow only because he's shaded like that ingame and looks naked without it

anyway if you are still reading [hi?] i get to shamelessly plug now. i'm over the hill of my pizza run now, and while i still have plenty of things i want to make here, most of the bigger more in-depth ones have passed. pizza tower was the first thing in THREE YEARS to get me out of my oc groove to doing fanart, and once i am done with my ideas here i will be going right back to it. if you like my art or how i write characters/interactions you should check out my oc/webcomic blog @jamverse . i can't promise people who like pizza stuff will be terribly into my designs, but i can guarantee i treat my guys with the exact same sort of tone i handle the pt guys with. and hell, i've mentioned it a few times before, but like 70% of my characterization for fake pep is just copied off one of my characters, so if u are going to miss him... he will still be there in spirit >;p

A little bit of context for the story: I relate Queen Melanie (LOVE HER SONGS SO BAD), with all Yandere content, so Itachi is a bit of a psycho in this one, AND SO IS THE READER lol.

(I always associated "Fire Drill" with Indra IDK WHY)

"Can we just be honest?" (Y/N) asks in the middle of the shooting, back to back with Itachi hiding behind a metal container. She knows she shouldn't be here, her job was to follow the Uchiha closely, observe his actions and report them to her supervisor back at the station, but when she saw him walk right into a trap, she couldn't leave him with the wolves.

This is the biggest mistake in her career and she knows it, but neither was it in her plans to fall in love with the criminal she was supposed to capture. As a cop, (Y/N) has spent time studying the Uchiha mafia closely, trying to find the weak link in the chain, but they all seem strong in their convictions and tasks. Itachi was simply the most accessible.

The Uchiha, having noticed the presence of the little undercover detective since day one, allowed her some grace time to see how she carried out her work, falling in love with her character and her uncanny ability to reconcile her presence. Itachi interacted with her on several occasions, pretending not to know who she was or why she was following him everywhere with her black car, and he suspected the same morbid interest on the woman's part.

A twisted love story.

"These are the requirements, (Y/N). If you think you can be my one and only true love, you must promise to love me, and damn it, if you fuck me over, I will rip your fucking face apart." The Uchiha comments firing about three bullets in a row, hiding his body with frightening speed so as not to be an easy target for the enemy. She feels him on her back, the heat of his flesh and the precision of his attacks, and she can't deny those feelings coursing through her every time she thinks of the mobster.

"Step one, you must accept that I'm a little out my mind." The bullets cease, and they both rise from their hiding place to verify that all the enemies are down. (Y/N) keeps her gun up, ready for any unforeseen event, but they all seem to lie dead in their own pools of blood.

"Step two," the man continues to speak as if nothing, approaching the bodies of his opponents and kicking the firearms away from their reach, just in case, "This is a waste if you can't walk me down the finish line." He looks at her with narrowed eyes, analyzing her reaction to his claims.

"Step three, give me passion, and don't fucking make fun of my fashion." He continues with his routine of examining corpses as if not talking about love all at the same time, unaffected by the metallic smell permeating the air after the confrontation. (Y/N) follows each of his statements trying to hide a smirk between her lips, disguising professionalism as she waits for him to finish his task.

"If you can't handle a heart like mine, don't waste your time with me. If you're not down to bleed, if you can't handle the choking, the biting, the loving, the smothering, until you can't handle it no more, then go home (Y/N)" The Uchiha seems determined to scare her, to drive her away, but unaware that she is perhaps even more troubled than he is, and that is impossible.

"What about my own rules, hm?" The policewoman retorts, wiping the blood from her hands on her shirt and leaving long red marks all over her clothes, "You can't be scared to show me off and hold my hand, and If you can't put in work, I don't know what you think this fucking is. Step seven Itachi, and oh my this one goes to eleven, If you cheat, you will die." Her declaration pulls a lopsided smile from him, the Uchiha paying sudden attention to her, totally interested in what she relates only because she involved death in the conversation.

"If you can't handle a heart like mine, Uchiha, don't waste your time with me. If you're not down to bleed, if you can't handle the choking, the biting, the loving, the smothering, until you can't handle it no more, go home fucking home, you bastard." She seems to spit hate with the very words he used to try and spook her, and Itachi devours every second of it. Emotionally unstable, he seeks a cynical and unnatural, unhealthy love to make him feel alive in a world of misery.

One of the Senju presumably shot on the ground seems to be moving, breathing hard, and the mobster doesn't hesitate for a second to pull a knife from his pocket and plunge it into his chest, cutting from throat to navel and drawing a rush of blood in the process. "Could you hold me through the night? Put your lips all over my mine, salty face when I start cryin'?" He asks bathed in red liquid, covered from head to toe in the massacre he has just performed on that poor man.

"Could you be my first time? Eat me up like apple pie, make me not wanna die, love me rough and let me fly, get me up, get me high, tie me down, don't leave my side?  Don't be a waste of my fucking time?" (Y/N) seductively retorts, observing as the Uchiha stares at her intently, slowly approaching her, painted in a show of murder and cruelty.

"Can we just be honest, (Y/N)? These are the requirements. If you think you can be my one and only true love, you must promise to love me. And damn it, if you fuck me over, I will rip your fucking face apart, yeah?"

WHFJWKJFKLDSJF wait omg i gotta think about this one for a minute. i love overthinking these things LOL!!! hang on lemme try and make a case for them all, weigh the pros and cons before deciding...

so like im pretty close in age to vargas and crewel so that gives them a bias to the first two but fksdjfhsdj i do like trein 😔 i like how much he cares about his cat and his students and his daughters 🥺 hes been married before and it SOUNDS like hes had a pretty loving family relationship from what we've heard. i feel like that makes a decent case for marriage, also he's a cat lover and im a cat lover so tbh not a bad consideration. HOWEVER he is still old enough to be my father and has a more old fashioned way of life that i think maybe would clash a lil jkdjfskf

vargas is so funny but hes so stressful LOL JFKLDSJFSDLJ i'm obsessed with his vargas camp thing. like he's so nuts for that... taking the children camping and then kidnapping and hunting them for sport to train them or whatever the hell his plan was there. and roping crewel into the second one lol 😭😭😭 it's so bonkers but it's soooo funny. like i think he'd stress me out w/how fitness oriented he is (I enjoy physical activities and i practice martial arts but lowkey his fixation reminds me a little of my father and i dont like that association LOL 😬) BUT i do love comedy. so i could be swayed i suppose. maybe. jsdklfhsg

and then crewel is def very pretty but also stressful LOL DSJKFLSD THERYE ALL STRESSFUL this is the game about stressful characters after all. his temper scares me but i do like that he also cares about his students in those moments where it matters,,, i also think it's very funny that he was convinced to join vargas in hunting down the children in camp fjsdklhgds AND that he's partially responsible for beanfest Being The Way That It Is. i like whenever we learn teacher lore like this kjfdsjfkl this man was too aggro of a rebel and changed the course of the game or whatever. but also hes a dog person and i have learned in my life that i generally cannot live with dogs due to how I operate as a person 😶 but considering his whole THING is that he is a MEGA DOG LOVER AND. well i think he has dogs. i assume he does. i actually cant remember if he literally does have pet dogs or just makes that his aesthetic FJKSDJFKLSJFJ i think he does. i remember he and trein at least but heads over many things and one of them being cats vs dogs l o l. i like some dogs but they do not pair well with my sound sensitivity i think it would just Not Work jfksljfldshfg

Yes you might have been give some money and advice to steal shoes, but a life of petty crime isn't what you hoped for. Joining Big Deal was supposed to be your lifeline. How long is the cash going to last until you really had to start beating people up for their shoes?

As you continue to wallow and think about what to do next, a girl steps into your line of sight.

You ignore her but she remains unmoving and instead waits patiently for your acknowledgement.

Ugh isn't she going to go away?

You scrub at your tear-stained face, annoyed at this disturbance and stranger interrupting your thoughts. "What do you want?"

"Can I stroke him?" she points in your direction, bouncing on her toes excitedly.

"No!" Who knew what sort of weirdos this street attracted, you couldn't let just anyone touch your best friend. You hug Eden possessively to your chest.

The girl starts to laugh, "I meant you. Your hair looks kinda funny."

You frown at her as your hands reach up to tug at your hair. Your mother had cut it. With her struggling sight, you knew that she didn't do a good job, but she always tried. It was a thing she always did for you and it made her happy. You didn't ask for this stupid girl's opinion.

"Go away!" You turn from her and give her a rude gesture instead.

"Jeez, I wasn't trying to be rude."

At your lack of response, she continues "I just meant that it's fluffy... like your dog's tail," she bends down for a closer inspection, "it's pretty cute actually."

"Oh..." Before you could even respond to that, she suddenly straightens back up.

"Hey! Wanna share some ricecakes? My granny said they're really good here!"

Ricecakes do sound good, your stomach growls at the thought. But nothing in life comes for free.

"...Really? What do you want?"

She points directly at Eden this time, "Can I stroke him?"

You think about it for a moment, you didn't have anything to lose. "Fine. You're definitely going to pay right?"

"Of course!" she tuts at you, irritated that you even needed to ask. Nonetheless, she crouches down to fuss Eden, giving him some belly rubs which he eagerly accepts. You watch them both fondly, maybe she can't be all that bad if Eden likes her.

After what feels like an eternity, she finally dusts herself off and wipes the excess fur on her jeans before reaching out to drag you along.

"My granny says I'm always collecting strays and troublemakers," she flashes a grin at you, "So what's both your names?"

"Erm, this is Eden and I'm... Johan."

"I'm Lua! Thanks for letting me play with Eden," she gives you another smile and this time you feel yourself blush.

I'm not really like. Upset at the pure fact of Kuai being scorpion, more just that Hanzo might be gone. He really is a tragedy, and it was fun seeing his arc in both timelines. Mostly, besides when Raiden called him Q-C's slave and present Hanzo death. I liked that he became the face of mk but wasn't a chosen one or a altruistic hero or something like that, hell he wasn't even supposed to be popular, just a fun lil thing for the og cast cause his rivalry with Subz.

He just became the popular one cause hes just really fucking cool. He Is good, but unrelenting about what he wants, he's not above killing yet shows restraint for the special forces and Kuai in X. Everything he does is for a reason, maybe not a good one but one you can see the reasoning behind. He's not the most complex character to exist but he's a really fun character.

Plus, I miss the old man yaoi, more on the Old part. Everyone looks so young in 1. My wrinkly old farts are gone ✊️😔

yeah no hanzo being completely MIA so far is a valid concern. but I would like to trust that nrs are not completely clueless over why their characters are beloved in the first place and know that half the appeal of scorpion was hanzo's story and not just his general aesthetic, so I dare hold onto the hope that he's gonna make an appearance in the story, or at the very least, I would settle for a solid justification in-game over why he's missing.

Hard agree on your take on scorpion too, in the great mk universe he is at his core Just A Guy with a storyline thats compelling and could be standalone. Like for exemple, you cant take liu kang, raiden and shang stung (and goro) out of mortal kombat because they ARE mortal kombat, you could technically take sonya (and jax) and kano out of mk but in my personal opinion it wouldnt make for a super interesting story cause its like, standard military mumbo jumbo. Johnny is an outlier and should not be counted, his whole appeal is that he is an actor, adaptable, and is more than he seems. But I genuinely think the ninja storyline with scorpion AND sub zero could be divorced from mortal kombat and still be extremely compelling, even if it does lose a significant amount of meat bc of it.

Also yeah he wasnt meant to be the mascot but im glad he is (alongside subz kinda but he really takes the forefront since mkx) bc like i said before character favoritism is okay if i like said character. Which i do. Also since he really wasnt meant to be mk's face, its funny to imagine if another character got the spot, like imagine reptile on cover bc he was a secret boss back in the day and people (and ed boon) loved him so much he blew up in popularity, while sub zero was relegated to a jobber, and scorpion was dlc like ermac is nowadays (🥹👍)

(Anyway the lesson here is when two characters are so intricately linked in their storyline like scorpy and subz are, they lift each other to the top.)

Anyway back on scorpion, I really enjoyed his arc in the second timeline as well bc yeah, he isnt as shackled in his morality as other characters and I really love that they let him fuck up massively, like killing bi-han ib mk9 when he swore not to, and when he killed quan chi in mkx, its very accidentaly "scorpion and the frog" of him and I like that "he couldnt change his nature" :) he's a really really enjoyable character to watch partly bc hes been through a lot but also bc he genuinely is conceptually so cool. Also I will not be the first to say that his relationship with kuai liang/sub zero in the second timeline was the best written arc they did, that spawned over three whole games too.

SPEAKING OF Im gonna miss the old man yaoi sooo much too, its was about the "finding love again/for the first time in your forties" yknow? Esp with someone u had a complicated history with. Man.

And finally. Technically I understand every character going back to their 20s with the new timeline thingie, I even could understand our resident old man raiden not being old anymore with the whole divinity switch with liu kang but LIU KANG ISNT OLD TO COUNTERBALANCE. HE DOESNT EVEN HAVE HIS WHITE GOD HAIR ANYMORE. and take of depending temperature but Ive always enjoyed shang stung as an old evil man so much more than him young and him not even being old anymore is such a loss to me. So yeah Im mourning my fucking dilfs and senior citizens man😔

So, I finished reading the final parts of biof days ago, but I needed time to properly mourn it... now that I went through all the stages of grief, I can just say how perfect everything was. I loved every single moment.. the family fluff, the smut, everytime aema was mentioned made me extremely emotional, every scene with helaena melted my heart (her calling Nyra mama 😭), jealous!Rhaenyra is always a delight to read, the whole milf mess (angry!Alicent is so hot) 🤣... I'm rambling, sorry. I'm not really good with words and giving people complements, so I'm just gonna quote lady gaga and say: "talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show-stoping, spectacular, never-the-same, totally unique, completely-not-ever-been done-before".

Okay, there's a couple of things I need to mention:

2. When they were about to fuck, alicent mentioned/thought about proposing to Rhaenyra, and I was wondering who would be the one actually doing it? Most fics I read is Rhaenyra, but I feel like in this universe it'd be alicent.. I can see Nyra freaking out 'cause that's her crush asking her to marry her (btw, how come Ali never teased her about that?)

You might get the inside stories in the next part, but I'm not sure of that cause there's even more exciting things to include in there so...🫣 Also, not sure you want to hear the story of Alicent trying to wear the strap, that would be more funny than sexy haha

As for who would propose... I can't answer that without spoiling part 2 considering it will 100% be centered around them getting married😁 But I can totally see Rhaenyra planning to do it and freaking out until Alicent decides to take the matter in her own hands and does it instead😭

but yeah the color is good! I've generally got a pretty fair complexion + light hair & eyes so a more darker & lively colour was more fitting bc it stands out more and doesn't die out. And also! I like that it looks kind of like a real stormy cloud. And also that it is multicoloured. It rly was the best colour choice in the end! It was the first one that caught my attention so I think it was fate...

My whole family is Muslim so I was raised as one too even tho myanmar is like a Buddhist country, I don't live here anymore (moved to the uk).

Sometimes burmese schools would force us to participate in Buddhist traditions even tho i have no idea what im supposed to be doing 😭 (I don't really mind tho I think they're really cool!)

I really really loved tajan (idk how to spell it in English? Yk the one where ppl splash water at each other n stuff n it lasts 4 days iirc) and me n my family would go out n look at shows n stuff during that time but I wasn't allowed to play w water myself 😔

Finding halal restaurants (we have a bunch of food rules n "halal" basically means the restaurant follow those rules, like for example not serving pork) was a pain especially in like less crowded areas 😭

Fun fact, for some reason women aren't allowed to pray in mosques in myanmar?? It was such a culture shock to me when I went to other countries cuz women and men r allowed to pray in mosques n they're just seperated

Another fun fact! In myanmar when it's prayer time for us, someone would like get a microphone n like yell out some prayer stuff to let us know that it's prayer time. In other countries that doesn't exist (thank god for that cuz it's just really noisy especially when you live in a place near them)

Generally alot of religion stuff is just really different in myanmar compared to universally- I don't even know why lmao

Whenever I bring up myanmar people always assume it's an Islamic country cuz 1. They literally don't know anything about it, doesn't even recognise the name and 2. I'm Muslim. And I just have to correct them like nah it's a Buddhist country 😭 it's actually funny sometimes

I think Buddhism is a really cool religion! I have alot of Buddhist friends n I've visited alot of like temples n stuff, it's really nice :3

Reki drops his chin on Langa's shoulder, his whole weight pressing into Langa's back.

"Langa... I gotta tell you something, man. And it's like, super-duper important."

Langa hums as he pats Reki on the cheek. His eyes are still glued on Reki's bookshelf, looking for a specific book to reread, but his attention is fully devoted to Reki. "Yes, Reki?"

"Okay, so don't take this the wrong way but," he buries his face in Langa's shoulder, voice muffled by fabric, "I might be lil bit gay. Bi maybe?" He whimpers before lifting his head, his loud voice booming through his room. "Boys! I think I like boys!"

Langa blinks and gapes at him. Was this supposed to be news to him? Was he supposed to act surprised? Was the fact that his boyfriend of over a month liked boys supposed to be some shocking revelation?

Langa knows that he has the habit of getting confused over trivial things, but this confession? Langa has no explanation for it. Part of him even wonders if he understood correctly, if the quick translations were right.

"Why are you telling me this now?"

"Because you're my best friend, dude. Obviously."

So much was fair, Langa supposes. Reki had never really come out to him, never really put a label on his sexuality, but Langa hadn't thought it very important. Lots of people don't put a strict label on themselves, just living as themselves. And Langa had considered Reki accepting his confession as enough of a confirmation that he wasn't straight. It didn't matter if his boyfriend identified as gay, bi, pan, or queer of some sort. All that really mattered was that he liked him and that they could continue going out on dates and coming home to movies and cuddles.

Langa pinches the bridge of his nose, inhaling sharply. He needs to do this right. He needs to say what Reki wants to hear.

"So, you like guys."

"Is that a problem?"

"Well, I mean-"

"Oh my god," Reki falls back onto his floor. His eyes are huge and... Langa isn't sure what that look means. "You're homophobic!"

Langa recoils at the word. Homophobic. Reki was calling him homophobic.

"I'm gay?"

Reki blinks at him. His eyes are still big, but confusion seems to haze them. He seems even more confused than Langa.

"Homosexual," Langa clarifies. "Not phobic."

"You're... gay?"

Why did Reki sound so surprised? Langa had made no effort in concealing how terribly gay he was. Did he think that Langa was-?

"What gave you the impression that I wasn't?"

The silence is almost unbearable as Reki pulls on the sleeves of his hoodie. The silence is unnatural in the usually loud house and Langa wants nothing more than to break it. So he does.

"Reki, Sunshine, Darling, most beautiful human being," he inhales again, both hands in his face before staring Reki in the face, "when I said I loved you, what do you think that meant?"

"I don't know? That you loved me as a friend? They do it in American shows, and Canada isn't that different from the US."

Langa sighs as he gets up. Defeated doesn't even begin to describe what he's feeling.

"That's it. I'm done here. I'm going home to go scream into my closet and possibly go stuff myself back into it."

"No!" Reki grabs Langa's ankles before he can walk away. "Don't go!"

Langa stares at him, the boy sprawled across his floor.

"I like you too?"

Langa stares at the grinning boy, his pretty face completely flushed as the words leave his lips. Langa stares until he's pursing his lips and sighing, shaking his head at Reki's antics. "You... are so lucky you're cute because you're extremely infuriating right now."

"But you love me!"

Langa plops back down onto the floor, Reki moving closer to him. "Unfortunately. So... we're dating for real this time, right?"

Reki grins as he cuddles closer, arms wrapping around Langa's middle as he rests his head on his shoulder. "Only if you agree to go out on a date with me this weekend. I'll make sure it's awesome!"

Langa chuckles as he buries his face in Reki's hair. "They always are, even when you're unaware that they're dates."
