There's a youtuber I watch pretty often, Super Eyepatch Wolf, and he made a video about Dragon Ball Z and its merits as a show. I left a very innocuous comment about how, while it looked interesting and I enjoyed the video, I was unsure if I'd ever get around to watching it due to its length and bad experiences with the fandom.

These two fuckin dudebros, totally unrpompted btw, start fucking commenting about how MHA is so shit (my icon and name on YouTube feature Midnight) and how DBZ is sooo much better.

I obviously call them out and say I didn't ask for their opinion on a show I like, I didn't even bring up MHA, and these fools keep going on about how MHA has a shit fandom and how the show is mid-tier.

Like, yeah, the fandom is bad, but news flash, ALL fandoms are shitty. And if it's such a "mid-tier" series, why is it ranked like, 4 or 5 on Shounen Jump, a notoriously cutthroat platform to write for?

I'm not gonna sit here and claim MHA is some masterpiece, but if these fools can't see how interesting and nuanced a lot of the ideas are in the series, they ain't very good at reading.

Besides, regardless of how good the series apparently is, it's super fucking shitty to just shit all over a series someone likes (a personal comfort series of mine that has been helping me battle depression) unprompted.
