Summary: You want to give Paige a peaceful self-care day, but it doesn't go how you thought it would

“Babe, is it supposed to burn” Paige fans her face as the green mask burns her skin. “Yes! That means it’s working” you said applying some to your face after putting your island twists into a ponytail. Paige had been stressed because of her big game, and you thought having a self-care day would be a good idea to ease her nerves. “Baby, it hurts so bad! Help me” Paige says, running around to the bathroom. You start to laugh as you stop her and grab her face. You made the split-second decision to blow on her face to try and ease the pain. “Did that help” you asked, trying to stifle your laugh. “Barely…but thanks” she says with a laugh, giving you a quick peck.

After you both wipe the Aztec mask from your skin, you attempt to make a healthy meal together. “I think this is what it’s supposed to look like” You look at the Pinterest inspiration picture and then back at the meal you tried to make. A weird green mess made the apartment smell like smoke and another unknown scent. “This looks awful…what was this even supposed to be,” Paige says, poking at the meal. “I don't know man….it was supposed to be this cute keto meal to give you energy and like, clean your gut or something” A wave of disappointment came over your body as you picked up the plate and threw it in the trash. Paige notices the change in your demeanor and comes behind you to hold your waist. “How about I order us some Chipotle and we can just sit and finish our little self-care day after, hm” Paige says kissing your neck. “I guess…we should learn how to cook though,” You say as Paige laughs behind you.

You ordered Chipotle and spent most of the night watching Netflix. Even though you were having a good time, you still felt guilty that you couldn’t give your wonderful girlfriend the self-help day she truly deserved. You were both sat on the couch when paige noticed your mood has changed yet again. “Whats wrong, I thought you werent upset about the food anymore” she said, tilting your chin up with your fingers tp look at her. “Im not just mad about that,” you said getting up from your seat. “It’s the whole day! I accidentally burned your face, I made trash food that made the apartment smell like burning shit, and now were just sitting here bored as hell watching new girl for the fifth time” you rambled on until paige took your hand while laughing. “Babe, I had so much fun today, regardless of all that, just being here with you helped me relieve my stress” she kissed your forehead before looking into your eyes. “Aw, that was really corny paige, but also very sweet” You said while paige rolled her eyes. 

All of a sudden you remembered one thing you still had planned. You pushed Paige out of the way leaving her confused. You then came back into the room with a flower Lego set. “I completely forgot about this” You said jumping you and down. Paige’s eyes lit up as you ran to her with the set. You then spent the rest of the night in your pajamas building the set in your bedroom. “This was so worth getting my face burned for” Paige says as finishes the final piece of the bouquet. She looks over at you for approval, only to see you fast asleep in your purple bonnet and her sweatshirt. She looks at you fondly before pulling the covers over you and giving you a kiss goodnight. Paige soon slipped in next to you after proudly putting the plastic project on your nightstand, hoping you will tell her how beautiful it is in the morning.

i love the idea of relativity falls stanley getting his memory wiped too.

because like… ford wants to stay in gravity falls & stanley will be Fine if he goes back to new jersey on his own right? hes always fine. but stan freaks out bc ford is going to Leave him and make him go back to his (abusive, verbally and maybe physically) father on his own .

so there’s a huge argument where ford essentially gets mad that stan won’t let him stay easy…. the rift breaks.. instead of them dealing with their issues via ‘everything is perfect’ bubble like the mystery twins did in canon (and maybe could still in relativity falls if they have issues), ford gets to essentially wipe everything out of his brother that makes him Him & then think about how he wanted to leave him behind

of course they could have the bubble as well but its kinda more fun to have them in the midst of an argument when it happens- sort of like how ford only started being actually civil to stan in canon post-weirdmaggedeon

i literally only kept stan's memory being wiped because i didn't think that was a very mabel and dipper thing to do, regardless of circumstance because their whole thing is how they go through things TOGETHER so i didn't think that was something that would've happened!!! and also the way im considering handling bill (loosely. bill is not an easy character in this au lol) is similar to og gravity falls in that he pulls ford into isolation, it's just done for Different Reasons (don't ask. head in hands. bill is Complicated And Hard To Manage. i haven't even given much thought to dipper and the portal's relationship yet)

but that way, the stan twins keep their conflict of isolation and separateness while the mystery twins keep their conflict of togetherness (mabel pushing dipper in was an accident, and she worked around the clock to bring him back. it wasn't a bad reunion like the stan twins)

anyways. my god i didn't even consider the mystery twins leaving conflict becoming the stan twins leaving conflict and how well that goes.....that's so owie...like it goes so well too cause it still makes ford confront his isolation and how little he knows about stan but obviously on a much smaller scale this time (he probably didn't accompany stan on as many adventures near the end of the summer due to bill trying to keep him isolated)

also you did say that you are now wanting to help others enter the void so, that’s going to happen but if i just may add in a lil bit of suggestion, maybe you could ask us to do a couple of things like a routine and affirm that “who ever follows this routine will enter the void regardless of everything in all realities”

I must say you’re very good at writing lol. I actually didn’t want to mention this just yet but since you brought it up, i have seen that blogger and was very much inspired by it (hence why i’m starting a challenge). Also my subliminals too are a part of the experience.

I know it’s not my place to decide for yall, but i know that you will very much appreciate entering on your own. I’m always here to help, and i know it’s frustrating not seeing any movement after years of trying (trust me i’ve been there). But believe me when i tell you you’re gonna be so mad at yourself when you realize just how easy tapping into the void state is. Like genuinely im not even saying this because i do it all the time now. When i first tapped in and manifested everything, I got out and felt like the biggest dummy ever (not calling yall dumb btw 😭).

The point is, yall are simply just over complicating it and i’m actually so upset that it took me so many years to realize just how easy it is cause i could’ve had my dream life a long time ago and I wouldn’t have had to go through what i went through.

With my challenge (i promise it’s coming out sooner than you expect just bear with me 🙏🏽) you’ll definitely start realizing that on your own, with a little help on my end of course. What i don’t want to do, and will not do is all the work for you. Even though it doesn’t require much work on your end, the eye opening and truly awakening experience of finally pushing through was honestly the most humbling and beautiful experience ever. Like i will honestly never take anything for granted again because i’m just so grateful that i have the ability to manifest anything I want now.

When you’re first starting out you always think about it as an escape or like “I can have anything I want”. But once you actually do and you’re able to go about life and actually enjoy it with no worries whatsoever it’s just so amazing, I have no words for it.

But like i said in one of my other posts, some things in life are worth working/fighting for, and although the void state is truly the simplest thing ever (i blame tumblr and shiftok for overcomplicating it), i believe it’s one of those things that you need to experience and go through on your own cause it truly is such a personal and intimate journey with yourself. I’ve learned so much about myself on a spiritual level like honestly i cannot even express it in words.

I know some of you guys have been trying for months and even years (i was in your shoes once too, before i tapped in i was 2.5 years in) but follow through with my challenge, don’t give up on yourself and i promise you every thing will change for the better!

So again to answer your question, yes I am absolutely doing that, just in my own way. It might be frustrating to hear (i would know i hated when people would say this when i was struggling but in the end im grateful for it), but you honestly need to do this for yourself. I don’t know any of you personally and no matter how much you tell me about yourself and your circumstances i will never truly understand you or have your same perspective on life, so in reality you the only person who can truly help you is yourself. Look within first before you go outside of you for help. For some of you, you’ve already tried everything and I understand your frustration but also have some patience with yourself.

I promise you won’t be disappointed with my challenge ( it is being very carefully crafted, also i’m just having so much fun making it!)

Okay im sure people have done this before, but its time to mash together the hyperfixations, here's my take on stp Princesses x tma Fears

Title explains it ig, but i just got through the episode where gerry explains the fears to jon, so i dont feel too spoiled to reference the wiki, so here's the fears i think each of the slay the princess routes align with/are avatars of

(for the sake of post length and potential spoilers, pairings are under the cut. also ive color coded them for fun and bc its easier for me to read, i apologize if its straining, i can remove it)

Chapter 2 Princesses:

Damsel - The Stranger - She seems normal, until you dig deeper into who "she" is, and she devolves into a more and more uncanny version of herself until she gets yoinked

Prisoner - The Lonely - This one is weird, because the Princess is pretty resigned in her fate, regardless of what route you take. Having said that, I was torn between Buried and Lonely, but ultimately chose Lonely since Prisoner isn't exactly worried about being trapped (she's okay with both being decapitated and with waiting it out). She feels more Lonely, since her instance is self-inflicted, she had to kill Quiet so they could move on, which in turn trapped her even more than Chapter 1.

Witch - The Desolation - This one is more emotional than Desolation is usually thought of, but the Witch is convinced that after Quiet's actions in Chapter 1 his only intention is to break her down further. Additionally, she's fine with killing him regardless of what that means for her because then it will feel like revenge (unless you guilt trip her lol)

Beast - The Hunt - This one's easy, her entire goal is to eat Quiet lol

Adversary - The Slaughter - This one was also difficult, since many of the Fears are tied to "senseless" killing, and Adversary just wants a good fight. She's more of a mma fighter than a murderer, but her main motivation is still murder, though definitely in more of a human way than an animalistic way, so she went to Slaughter.

Tower - The Web - Her entire thing is manipulation, she doesn't even want to bloody her own hands if she can help it.

Razor - The Slaughter - Unlike Adversary, Razor does find joy in senseless killing, so she fits right in with Slaughter (I did also consider Hunt, but her goal isn't it work down the player, just to stab him) (also this is applied to "No Way Out" and "The Empty Cup" since they're just continuations of Razor and not their own Princesses)

Stranger - The Spiral - i know, it seems like she would go to the Stranger, but she actually knows exactly who she is, just not why. In Chapter 1, she acts more like fractions of herself, her world descending into madness. Her madness leads her to not know who she is, not the other way around (if it was that would lend closer to Stranger).

Spectre - The Lonely - Spectre is one of the least aggressive, and doesn't really align with many of the other fears, but her personal fear is being trapped again after getting so close to getting out.

Nightmare - The Lonely - Like Spectre, her entire motivation is centered in being left behind after being teased with being released, her pre-death monologue is an increasingly more desperate "Let me out," scared of being left behind again (though her outward motivation aligns more with Slaughter, with wanting to spread fear and terror for fun).

Chapter 3 Princesses:

Grey (Burned) - The Desolation - Both for the fire aspect, and the bodily destruction. Burned Grey doesn't really have much malice, but the only thing that she knows is to destroy to try to get what she wants

Grey (Drowned) - The Vast - Unfortunately there isn't really a Fear connected to revenge, so Vast works best with Drowned Grey since its connected to deep ocean. Ironically, it's one of the shallower connections, but Drowned Grey is made up of layers of frustration, betrayal, and anger, which is more like sadness than fear (although she is more unsettling than Burned Grey).

Thorn - The Buried - Thorn is also tricky, since at this point she's basically just tired, not scared or threatening. I've given her to Buried since she is physically trapped, and wants to get out but doesn't trust the Quiet to actually let her out because of their rocky past.

Wild - The Eye - Wild is really the only one that doesn't quite align with a Fear. I was going to assign her to Vast, since Shifty describes her as endless, but I settled on Eye since she is inherently non-aggressive, knows more because she's one with Quiet, and can locate the Narrator when the others aren't aware of him. I guess she also aligns with Slaughter since the only thing she expresses fear of is pain, but a few others get Slaughter, so I've given her to the Eye.

Den - The Hunt - Just like the Beast, but even more. She's only an animal at this point, and her only goal is to kill and eat.

The Eye of the Needle - The Slaughter - Like the Den, (and Razor, to a more direct extent), Needle is an expansion of Adversary, so her goal doesn't change, she's just more focused. This form fits Slaughter a bit more though, since there are some routes where she'll attack you outright.

Fury - The Desolation - Though Fury is also an extension of Adversary, she's more concerned with the means of death than the actual killing (I'm also not keeping her under Web, since she is now going for Quiet directly instead of trying to manipulate him). She doesn't just want to kill Quiet, she wants it to hurt.

Apotheosis - The Web - Unlike Fury, Apotheosis gets to keep Web since she isn't concerned about killing Quiet, but she does now have infinite power. Also potentially The Vast, but that's purely because of her physical size.

Wraith - The Web - While Adversary has the emotional manipulation, Wraith has the physical manipulation. (I also considered The End because I hadn't assigned any Princesses to The End, but this was purely because she's a skeleton, so if you want a Princess a Fear, feel free to associate her with The End).

The Moment of Clarity - The Lonely - Like her prior counterparts, Clarity just craves companionship so inherently that her fear leads her to violence.

Well, that's all of them! To anyone that read through this, thanks! Might end up doing this with the Voices as well, though they would likely end up just aligning with whatever Fear is assigned to the Princess that causes them.

Of the Princesses (to me), none align with The Corruption (though the devs did say that the Stranger started as a bug princess, so i guess she's Corruption in spirit), The Dark, The End, or The Flesh.

!!! SPOILERS BELOW !!!

i don't like to get into all the bts drama and stuff that is going on on set, but it is very apparent that it weaseled its way into the show. i was never a huge jj/kiara shipper, but i did sort of get it in the earlier seasons. after this season, i feel like there was no chemistry between them at all, which is very unfortunate. either way, i know that rudy/jj was going to be leaving the show, but it was really hard for me to feel super bad when this entire season he was just completely off the rails and doing dumb shit. don't get me wrong, i think he's an important character and he's fun, but it was so much to the point that i was genuinely pissed off of him at times and felt almost out of character.

groff was evil like crazy fucking evil. there were so many parallels between groff/jj and ward/rafe, which i really wish they would've explored them, but alas, we know how that ended....

also, whenever they said groff i only thought of my number one man jonathan groff (aka special agent holden ford aka jesse st james aka kristoff aka king george iii) and kept laughing. should've named jj jonathan after his legendary bohemian rhapsody performance.

ok so i actually didn't mind sarah being pregnant, i think it added some stakes to the show and a reason for her and rafe to make amends, which leads me to my next point...

the scene where rafe and sarah sort of "made up" was probably the best scene this entire season. i think it would be interesting to explore their relationship, especially with sarah pregnant.

i felt like rafe was a bit too soft the first half of the season, but once he figured out he got screwed over, i think he really returned to form lmao. i'm still surprised he didn't die, considering after he lost sofia he really didn't have anything going for him and drew is probably gonna pop tf off in the near future, which makes me curious as to how tf they're gonna get him in the next season.

i love pope so much and am a #1 pope defender. if that boy doesn't get to go to fucking medical school and do whatever his little heart desires, i will riot. am i mad at him for getting arrested and running away? yes. has he ever done anything wrong? ofc not that's my boy.

the one-shot of JJ in the courtroom was fucking awesome. im a big daredevil fan, so i love that shit lol. also loved a lot of the older music choices for this season.

overall, i think this season is on the same level or slightly better than season 3. the first half/the half in OBX was definitely stronger (as it was for season 3), but i think the more realistic ending was a bit better. regardless, i don't like that jj died, but i know that there wasn't really any choosing that. i think the final two seasons being like pt 1 and 2 (similar to stranger things) was an interesting call to say the least, but i truly don't know what they're going to do story wise without jj and likely without much rafe.

SO. this fuckery began with quackity announcing the QSMP. He did so on the 17th of march and whatever the fuck. He mentioned it earlier than this (edit: just checked but the First announcements was the 10th)

And this is all great. New server that fucks. But what truly started all this. Was dream's tweet on his private twitter.

Im gonna try to be kinda impartial qnd jus. Explain it all as is but first i gotta say who says this shit lmao. So quackity announces his new project and is very passionate about it, he tweets more on his alt(?) About how much it means to him to bring his two languages spanish and english together. And dream on private is like 'wow cool! Guys dont get mad at me when i announce the same thing later tho haha' its just so weird.

But anyways. The usmp wasnt even A Thing. Only written instance of dream makin a multilingual server was in a tweet defending himself from copying quackity. (Altho he allegedly mentions in streams or whatever wanting yo do things w other ppl from other languages? But that shit dont count n im not diggin audio n videos out fuck that).

The actual, official announcement of dream makin a usmp was april 2nd (idk why this says the 3rd but whatever) wherein he announces the 'first multilingual smp' with a list of languages that will be on it such as portugese, spanish, english, russian, etc. And that it has live translation.

The same day, quackity releases a tweet labelling the qsmp as the 'first multilingual smp' and that he is introducing a live translation system to it. Mr beast connects that the usmp and qsmp are similar to which dream responds. Quackity doesnt respond, nor does he acknowledge the usmp at all.

Dream's response is essentially theyre different in that qsmp is spanish and english, he announced his live translator first, they had 'similar good ideas'.

So. This sparked a lot of drama and discussion. Because of the 'first multilingual' bit in that people began discrediting qsmp as it was 'only' english and spanish, and therefore was bilingual and not multilingual. Altho others countered thid by saying quackity himself called it a multilingual server in his streams. Not to mention the idea that the translator was copied but regardless both those things are kinda stupid arguments and just drama inspired by the comparisons.

More notably is that dream team were making fun of the 'first multilingual server' bit after this. Dream was liking some jokes at it as well

Dream also liked some. Vaguely sexual/romantic 'they should just kiss already' art of him and quackity?

Also after this dream started somewhat addressing/replying to quackity more. Quackity didnt respond to any of it.

Most narrowed in on the 'this wouldnt have happened without quackity' and was often interpretted as dream saying quackity HELPED him w it in some way or that there was more collab behind the scenes but we will find that to be false. Because. On april 27th. Dream dropped his magnum opus. Which i will include in one screenshot.

Anyways i seriously encourage reading the full thing here because its. Something. Theres so much. It is literally 1.7k words. A lot of it is repetitive but i will. Try. To summarize it.

Essentially dream is writing that he has been trying to contact quackity for some time now with no response. He has been messaging him about how theyve ended up with similar servers (therefore noting that neither one know of the other). This gets nothing. Dream tries contacting quackity more publically with jokes. Nothing. He starts going through secondary sources by talkin to ppl to message quackity for him (i think some people who dream knows that are on the qsmp. Unsure who) but quackity doesnt say shit. Dream is being absolutely ghosted.

Im also noting this last paragraph in his first tweet where he describes being 'taken back' when quackity announces the qsmp live translator after his usmp announcement, because he 'knew it would cause more drama'.

He says he messages quackity so they can plan how to deal with the 'vitriol' between the teo 'communities' and that the drama can be solved with 'communication'. He is ghosted. He also mentions that he puts the usmp 'on hold' in the 2nd tweet so it all can be dealt with and he can 'extend love and support to quackity'. Most notably he says that its alluded that quackity wouldnt let ppl who were on the usmp couldnt be on the qsmp which dream tries to say makes sense for quackity to do.

Theres apparently a fucking image limit on the tumblr app which ive hit so i am now not using images and speedrunning this shit. But im quoting this one thing exactly as its most important:

His last tweet begins with him saying he 'doesnt want anymore drama' and ends eith him saying he loves quackity and believes this is all just a miscommunication.

Now, obviously, shit blew up. Hes been ratiod a few times by people meming it. Ive seen many people on quackity's 'side' saying that the usmp doesnt even exist yet, dream is the one causing drama, etc. And people on dream's 'side' saying quackity is being horrible and needs address this because its caused dream to be in danger. Most importantly. Quackity didnt address it at all.

But then quackity announced he was going live in an hour. And a lot assumed hed say something. But he didnt. His stream was roughly 15 minutes long and it was entirely quackity announcing that he was introducing brazilian/portugese speaking streamers onto the qsmp.

Anyways. Theres a lot of details but my hand hurts now. A big thing is whether qsmp or usmp was 'first'. Imo theres a lot more pointing towards quackity having had this is store for a longass time, as he had been hinting and a project of his for months and more notably the qsmp is so organized and put together i doubt he couldve had it finished up 'after' dream as dream's nonexistent server was an idea he got after that squidcraft thing in early March i think?

More recently (i think today) i saw that quackity apparently took two emojis off his twitch that were dream roblox characters and i saw people freaking out in r/dwt2 about how quackity could be so petty? But ya. My condolences if youve read all this.

I know they still do this because despite me and them having each other blocked, I still see completely random people getting so mad that they make independent posts calling those users out by name over how awful and rage inducing a take that they made.

If you don't like that I choose to engage with discourse in a very different way, feel free to block me. If you want to get in my inbox inviting a discussion that I explicitly did not ask for, I'm not just gonna start playing by your personal rules.

I understand that there is a fringe grey area of "endogenics" who do, in a way make sense. Are somewhat reasonable. However you cannot deny that there are a lot of endogenics who treat the experience like some kind of fun aesthetic community.

Regardless of how "uwu valid" you want to act like that is, you cannot deny that a lot of people in that community are posting shit like that. I prefer just to block those tags and not engage with it at all. I block all sorts of shit on tumblr that I don't want to interact with. I curate my online experience. AHHHHHHHHH FIND US ALIVE HI HI YOU ARE NOT LATE. NOT LATE AT ALL. SNILES SO HARD I LOVE FIND US ALIVE

My favorite female character: I would be HARD-PRESSED to find a character I find more interesting than Alves. And the thing is that I also do not like her. But I love her. She's so interesting and complex and her inability to accept change for a very long time and her love for everyone around her has compelled me. She's miserable because she feels like she has to be miserable. She would sacrifice herself for everyone around her (and she does), but she would and does also sacrifice everyone around her for the world. And she thinks that's the right thing to do. My girl is so repressed and she pushes her emotion so far down and then either doesn't notice or beats herself up about the fact that it seeps through the cracks regardless. As if emotion is not a very normal and very human and often times very good thing. She RUNS from pain and suffering but she is SURROUNDED by it. And also later she tries to ruin their chances of reuniting to keep any sense of control that she can. Control is SOOOO important to her. If she doesn't have that, what DOES she have? She can't help people without it. She's so interesting and everything about her breaks my heart and also makes me mad and I love her so much. Also all of the other female characters are my 2nd favorites, it was SO hard to choose

My favorite male character: Harley. He's pitiful. OK NO IM JUST KIDDING. HE IS KIND OF PITIFUL SOMETIMES BUT THATS NOT WHY. He does so much good for the site, he's so useful and helpful and essential and he just doesn't see it. He CANT see it. And then when he understands that he IS important, it's not as great as he thought it would feel. And the whole thing with learning to deal with what happened with Lancaster and how to forgive Lancaster AND himself for not seeing what was happening has compelled me. It's killing me. Still. MONTHS after I got to that part it's killing me. AND HE WASNT SPECIFICALLY ANGRY WITH LANCASTER FOR CUTTING HIS ARM OPEN, HE WAS MAD BECAUSE THEYRE SUPPOSED TO BE BEST FRIENDS. THEYRE SUPPOSED TO TALK. AND IDK. IDK MAN HARLEY IS SO INTERESTING TO ME FOR SO MANY REASONS AND HE DRIVES ME ACTUALLY NUTS. A character I grew to love: Alves. I will admit that I did not like her back when she first showed up, but that's when we didn't know practically ANYTHING about her and we only knew things that were said by the Unreliable Narrator Five

My anti otp: I don't really think I have one. I'm trying to think and there's stuff that ANNOYS ME TO DEATH, but they don't make it to exactly an antiotp. Like shipping love or raddagher with anyone else ANNOYS THE SHIT OUT OF ME, but it's not the end of the world. Just quite. Also I LOVE Klein and Alves but just as divorcees. MOVIES:

The Incredibles (2004)

You all know this one, I'm sure. Superpowered family goes into hiding after a decree that bans superheroes, then Mr. Incredible, who's struggling to adjust to civilian life, gets lured to a mysterious island to complete a superhero mission for a shady benefactor who turns out to be a spurned fanboy who was obsessed with him as a kid and is now out for revenge. It's such a fun movie and probably what triggered my obsession with superhero media, if we're being honest. Also I had the world's BIGGEST crush on Violet.

Igor (2008)

In a land where evil scientists create dastardly inventions and participate in a yearly Hunger Games-esque competition to build the deadliest superweapon, Igor (who, like all other hunchbacks in the land of Malaria, is banned from inventing) creates a 10ft tall Frankenstein’s monster named Eva who desperately wants to be an actress.

Aided by an immortal (but ironically also incredibly suicidal) rabbit named Scamper and an autonomous brain in a jar, Igor illegally enrols in the mad scientist competition with Eva as his entrant, all while concealing his true intentions from Eva, who thinks she is auditioning for the titular role of a very avant-garde version of Annie.

It’s an incredibly funny movie that appealed to the kid in me that was obsessed with dark, gothic-looking shit. Not to be all *old woman grumbles* they don’t make em like this any more, but they genuinely don’t. I miss that period of time when these grungy, spooky-looking kids movies were in vogue—think Paranorman, Coraline, Corpse Bride… none of which I actually like that much but it’s the PRINCIPLE. It’s the VIBE.

I have never met another person who’s even HEARD of this movie, let alone seen it, which is a real tragedy.

Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004)

The second (and infinitely superior, I say having not seen the first one in probably 20 years because seeing Scrappy Doo crawl out of Rowan Atkinson's face put the fear of god into me as a kid) live-action Scooby Doo movie, in which the Scooby gang accidentally activate a device that brings all the costumes of all their old enemies to life and turns them into real monsters. It's a banger.

Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Oh look, a movie that was actually made within the last decade! It's probably a toss-up between this and Endgame but I think this one wins by a hair just because I waited almost a decade to see Andrew Garfield's Spiderman finally get the acknowledgement he deserved. Multiverse fuckery occurs and a bunch of alternate universe Spidermen and spiderverse villains get dragged into the MCU, it's a fun time *Michael from The Good Place voice* we've all seen it

Books (I went for mostly fave standalones here cos if we talked about fave series I'd be here all day. Did I mention I was a booktuber for 6 years?)

Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Sutanto

Meddy, a young Chinese-Indonesian wedding photographer, is set up on a blind date by her mother that goes horribly wrong and ends in her date’s sudden and pretty violent death (trust me, he deserved it).

In the process of trying to dispose of the body, Meddy, her mother, and her meddling aunts hide it in a fridge and accidentally ship it out to a huge wedding they’re working at that weekend. They then have to try and pull off the perfect wedding for a big client AND get rid of the body without any of the wedding guests stumbling upon it. To top it all off, it turns out that Meddy’s ex, Nathan, owns the island resort and wants to give their relationship another shot. Poor Meddy just wants five minutes to catch up with the love of her life but keeps getting interrupted by hijinks.

It’s genuinely one of the funniest books I’ve ever read. The author is genuinely incredible, I have no idea how she writes so fast and yet never has a single miss. There are now 3-4 Aunties books and she also wrote an absolutely hysterical cosy mystery about a teashop owner named Vera Wong who finds a dead body and then starts her own murder investigation, Miss Marple style, and that book made me cry on an aeroplane, so just. Hats off to Jesse Sutanto, she is genuinely the writer I want to be.  

You Deserve Each Other

This one is a rom-com about a newly engaged couple, Nicholas and Naomi, whose relationship kind of sucks due to various factors including (but not limited to) Nicholas' overbearing mother-in-law. Faced with the reality that she'll have to be married to a man she no longer particularly likes and deal with his mother for the rest of her life, Naomi decides to deliberately sabotage their relationship and get Nicholas to dump her, and it culminates in a huge, rapidly escalating prank war as they slowly start to fall in love again. Again, this book always makes me cackle out loud, it's so fun and I never get tired of reading it

The Bromance Book Club

This is another second-chance romance about a pro baseballer called Gavin and his wife, Thea. They're on the brink of divorce, until Gavin's friends let him in on their secret book club, where a bunch of dudes all get together and read romance novels to help them figure out their relationship problems. Again, it's just fun and funny, I really love romance novels myself (as you can probably tell from this list and my entire personality lmao) so I enjoyed the meta aspect of it, and just. It's just good stuff

The Brutal Truth

This one is a Devil Wears Prada fanfic turned romance novel where a struggling journalist named Maddie ends up getting involved with her cold, ice queen boss, Elena, who has a habit of acquiring failing magazine/newspaper businesses and then crushing them under her high heels. If you've ever thought Miranda and Andy from DWP should fuck (they should) then this book is for you. It's a 10/10

Four by One Direction

Four was the album where they really started to find their sound and completed the transition from cheesy radio pop to something with slightly more mature, rocky influences, but it's a bit more lively than their fifth album, Made In the AM, which while technically accomplished is nowhere near as fun to listen to in my opinion

Selfish Machines by Pierce the Veil

this has been a fave since my angsty high school days and it's one of the few albums that exist in the world that doesn't really have any skips (I've been known to skip Million Dollar Houses on occasion, but generally I'll listen to it all the way through)

It's Still Nothing Personal by All Time Low, which is their 10th anniversary rerecord of their early album Nothing Personal (caveat that, like most early 2010s pop punk bands, All Time Low have been accused of some things that are less than ideal, sigh). It has all the nostalgia while also stepping up the quality and just having that more mature, polished sound that comes with 10+ years of experience making music. good stuff unfortunately somewhat tainted by The Allegations, why can't we ever have nice things, and by nice things i mean "2000s pop punk artists who didn't allegedly sleep with impressionable and easily manipulated teenagers at warped tour"
