so the overall.. shape and tone of my current project is pretty much set in stone (im SO CLOSE to 50% done you guys) but i was looking through my saved videos folder on bilibili and if im gonna be doing another animatic after this one (honestly pretty likely??? given my. floruitshow obsession that doesnt seem to be going anywhere anytime soon) i REALLY want to attempt something closer to that style of animatic you see a lot on bb that employs more on elaborate editing as opposed to like............... the powerpoint presentation type beat i've got going on now

(nevermind the fact that a lot of the projects that really lodge themselves in my brain were also like collaborations between teams of people with like dedicated editor roles and i still havent fully figured out how to use lightworks. like ive also seen one man projects in this style that turn out absolutely gorgeous so i KNOW it can be done. maybe i'll go figure out if capcut is easier to use lol)

So i found a REALLY CRINGE mingcallister idea in my notes

dso what if like idk ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm uh Tobey and scoops used to be friends in kindergarten but they had a fight lmao so they sorta not like each other. But while like idk scoops is with wg he gets shot by some like ray by dr two brains and recieves flying and strength powers lmaoo then he steals like this pair of gloves that can like stun people and make them forget the most recent moment he had with the person he stuns so he becomes this like new superhero called the flasher or smth im working on the name lol. So tobey like falls in love with this new hero and only causes robit attacks for this hero to notice them. Eventually he suspects that scoops is this hero but hes in denial cause he dosent like scoops. Eventually he ties the knots and finds out scoops is the flasher or smth lmao. But he dosent tell scoops and tries to fix things with him first. Soon enough scoops also fell for tobey everytime they hung out. Soon scoops tells tobey hes the flasher or smth and tobey is like "I know lmao" and boom.

Before tobey started hanging out with scoops tobey first asked becky about him and eventually he would go to becky to rant abt scoops and becky would give him advice bcuz she used to have a crush on scoops. Meanwhile, scoops didnt really fall for tobey yet, he only fell when they started hanging out more. Tobey would rant abt how wordgirl destroys his robits and he started to get annoyed bcus of it lmao. Scoops always writes down what hes saying so he can better understand robits lmao. And then they they they they get marry jk lmao

i have such a powerful love for hermanns aesthetics i love old tech and and how it fits with his character. finally the old fashioned archetype but still a tech genius. not enough people go that alan turing style scientist route in Every way like hermann. with their old fashioned characters its always like bleh i wear sweater so i dont know computer bleh but they fucking should because hermann………. oh hermann.

he Coded those fucken big ol robits. hes the realest dude out there i need him. im bored of that urge some people have to treat computers as more modern when the historical aspect is more interesting. plus hermann was born in 1989 anyway so like lol. and the aesthetics of the pacrim world are different than ours. earth but sexier

i love picturing him with antique machinery and old computer monitors and surrounded by rust and dust. its what guillermo del toro calls “gothic tech” and “ww2 inspired” thats the foundation of what pacific rim is visually and everything about it describes hermann exactly. all those interesting beautiful machines. i dont care about pristine unused nonpractical ugly brandnew shit what i want is some real sexy old bricks with some genuine substance and weight to them that have proved theyre worth it. again hes the realest

there are scifi holoputers but still classic pacrim. cool scifi projector but coming from that same old tech. something unexpected below the rough surface. another hermann description. also how he is newts other half. hermann is the part who works in theoretics and numbers and coding and predictions and more intangible abstractions not things that can be physically touched (hand phasing through the projection of light. this all circles back to his own rough exterior & withdrawn closed off nature) unlike newt who is slanging glowing tanks of organs and physically touching machinery assembling with dirty hands and slicing into flesh while splashing blood.

the tech is all Old and just by the fact that it exists while looking so old fashioned actually says its Sturdy and Dependable and Capable and more Meaningful underneath the layers that appear stuck in another time. it looks that way as contrast to show it has Survived and Fought long enough to get the HONOR to appear out of date. it doesnt need to change. again all words to describe hermann. the rust is her battlescars. i love u sexy old tech aka i love u hermann. and to think a five paragraph post can be inspired by me joking that he would crank it to a video of antique crank pencil sharpeners from 1890-1920 <3

-I WANT LORE ON THE BARGAINER STATUES SO BAD. Who built them? Who made their bodies so damn big? Were they made at all, or are they just like. Weird fossilized spirits? Why are there inexplicably two smaller, head-only versions(possibly more I am unaware of) hanging out on the surface? I know Josha's was probably recovered from the depths directly but what about the one in the Great Plateau? WHAT IS THEIR DEAL I WANNA KNOW PLS I AM BEGGING

-i really just am completely obsessed with Josha, bc she really reminds me exactly of how I've imagined my OC Calli would behave if I put her in this universe. It's quite funny honestly, how entirely similar they are, down to the excitability and gullibility.

-i am having a lot of fun figuring out how my OC Koro fits into the story. So much to consider! granted im having to redo quite a bit of the stuff i established in botw, but hey, sequels, amirite? i'll need to update her writeup when i can. i can say definitively that she and Sidon split up(obviously) but she ended up with her old childhood/teen friend Grante(who now goes by Granteson, which i love lol), and she's super close with Josha, who reminds her of her passed sister.

-i love that you can ride on the dragons now. especially now that i know the origin of the Light Dragon, i like to imagine Link, though he's not much of a talker, takes to riding her around Hyrule and just, tells her how everyone's doing, and how much they miss her. i'm currently sat on her head so i can farm dragon parts and it always makes me sad lol

-i am still having WAY more fun in the Depths than i am in the Sky Islands lol. i have probably a good 70% of the lightroots activated at this point? im mostly just trying to find all of those before i really get to properly exploring.

-i have all the main quests finished up to what i assume will be the final fight against Ganondorf. THIS GAME GIVES YOU A FUCKIN ROBIT HELL YEAH. also i love having all the sages unlocked bc you can just gang up on any creature in hyrule and it fucks.

-still havent gone up against a Gleeok proper yet, though. they scare the shit out of me lmfao. too stronk.

-the return of Puppet Zelda has been a great touch, and without her narration, the blood moon is even spookier imo. just silence, and then monsters reanimating. oof.

-the Frox down in the Depths are interesting to me. they dont do Gloom damage like almost every enemy down there, which implies they might be the only native creature to the Depths? very fascinating!

the funny thing about drawing robits at least for me is after i got the hang of it (pain in the ass) it actually becomes more fun than drawing regular humanoid anatomy because the geometry of it is just so much more… regular and intuitive like no Weird Muscle Curvature here! just orbs and cylinders

(anyway i recently remembered that theres a guy at my school who runs a printing station where you can print (among other stuff) stickers if you provide a design so guess whats my next wip)
