AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also the group huug completely devastated me and i was so relieved when Starlo+Martlet got up like i was all. i dont THINK she would straight up immediately kill them but. god. who knows!!!(plus it was so real when starlo's hat landed right on his head after being knocked out) Cloverrr.... "It's time." FOR WHAT... ME TO CRY??!??????? ????!?? like that shit took me OUTTTTTT gotta mention the group hug again i mean like for real i think i had my heart ripped out and blended and youre like. it. i cant be THAT time right?!? youre gonan... youre gonna be okay and dandy and <:o??? AND GODDDDDDDD JUST KILL ME AT THIS POINTTTT CLOVVEERERRRRRRR THEY WERE JUST A KID...... when. Ceroba pulls out the container. it just cements everything. the hat and gun. *clover's* hat and gun. and you just KNOW and i think. the. just the fact you don't have a choice you have to tell them to go. you'll be fine. its fine. just go. GOD DAMN the art of just... clover struggling to pull themself to rest against their back... the camera panning up to birdsong... the credits................. PART THREE AND AAAYGHH YESSS!! YOU'RE WELCOME!! Heeheehoo!!
I just wanna say that I adore Axis. He's so freaking silley and I adore him so much. Guardener also was...wow. Genuinely chilling to see her go back to sleep. (Also I love the fact she's a female robot and yet doesn't have like. Feminine things. She's just a robot. Who needs female stuff on a robot. Aka HER DESIGN IS AWESOME!!)
AND AUGH CEROBA'S FIGHT (fun fact I'm listening to A Mother's Love right now. Such a good song, haunting with her scream.) I said it before, with the haunting scream of her shattered hopes of continuing her husband's work and dreams of seeing her daughter again. The Hopes and Dreams motif is chilling, especially with how discordant it is, really symbolizing how it's all shattering around her.
The fight was insane. I love it. But HOOO
AND THE HUG. THEY REALLY WERE JUST A KID, MY FREKAING HEART, AAAUGGHHH!!! Starlo is watching his child choose to sacrifice themselves for Monsterkind, what could be more just. But what could be more tragic? Also Ceroba needed a longer hug.
Also genocide....HOOO it really is dark and tragic. But I have Thoughts...about Starlo. And how he was handled there. Because HOO BOI, he deserved better
Anyways AUGH GLAD YOU LIKED IT. NOW WE CAN CRY IN DENIAL AND TALK ABOUT OUR SELF SHIPS TOGETHER!!!

in this day in age
how do people make regular indie rpgs? you mean youve played undertale and omori but you like make some phantasy star I type beat? ys on the beat? final fantasy 3 esque? in the day and age of "quirky earthbound inspired rpg" ppl fr are making regular ass rpgs kinda poetic actually. but like ok i played heisei pistol show how are you supposed to leave that game as a gamedev and thing "ok i will now make my new monster catching pokemon rpg" like bro i gotta get on the philisophical type beat! for why am i making a regular medieval type stuff but like i could make lsd dream emulator: the rpg i have a game idea and like bro youre telling me that i have to make a game and its regular and theres no trans subtext!!?!??!??!?!? two paths fork in the middle of the forest. you fear that as you go down one path, you will never see what meets you on the other. thankfully, you are a metaphysical being, and can read on. LITERALLY HOW ARE PEOPLE STILL CALLING SHIT Quirky Earthbound Inspired Indie RPG ANYMORE IN THE YEAR 2023?????? SAY THAT OUT LOUD LIKE BOTH PARTS SPEAK, WITH YOUR MOUTH, "Quirky Earthbound Inspired Indie RPG" AND ALSO THE WORDS TWO THOUSAND AND TWENTY THREE i feel like as a society we should have moved on and became better people, yet here i stand. its parody at this point. theres no way any article writer actually uses that phrase with full understanding of a) what they are doing and b) it is the dumbyest thing to say its so sad because now ive gotten bored of media without subtext or anything more. i watched the imitation game the other day and like its a cool movie alan turing 4 lyfe but it was like so hard to watch the flashback scenes. (HEY UM SPOILERS FOR THE IMITATION GAME, THE ONE WITH BENIDICT CUMBERBATCH YOU KNOW?) i appreciate the setup for why he called it christopher but like ugh the way they wrote those scenes felt bad. like it felt like the directors were saying "DO YOU GET IT??? HES AUTISTIC! DONT YOU SEE? HES GAY! HE LIKE LIKED HIM!" instead of like hinting at that. its all got its place in the story but it just felt like there wasnt anything that the viewer had to think. im so inraveled into meta stuff that i cant even enjoy regular shit TvT woe is me

What would Undertale, Swapfell and Horrortale bros be like with a S/O with insomnia? What would they do to help?
Also your blog makes me happier when im dealing with the long nights of my own insomnia. Thank you for your writing
Oh my, thank you for reading my stuff!! I'm glad that it helps you, that genuinely means the world to me but please look after yourself as well, okay??
S/O Has Insomnia
Sans: He gets, he really does. Sans has trouble sleeping due to his nightmares and unresolved trauma. Along with working as many jobs as he had in the underground, the man takes whatever opportunity he can to nap but that's about it. He gets your pain and keeps you company on days where it's just too difficult and he'll even try to get help if you're okay with it.
Papyrus: He does have some experience as he's dealt with Sans' inability to sleep during the night. He does his research and keeps you active to get you tired but if it's starting to take a severe toll on your health, he is going to get you help because he doesn't believe you should be in pain like that. You deserve far more better.
Black: Black also struggles with nightmares and he tends to get so stressed he's unable to rest so he really does understand why it's difficult to rest on some nights. Though, he would try to use healing magic on you to help ease your tiredness and make you relax further so that you would be able to rest. However, he does advice you that you should get something to help with it, and he will be by your side as well.
Rus: Rus, too, struggles with insomnia. His mind is constantly running with thoughts and it's hard for him to really calm down his senses to fall asleep so he relates heavily with you and does try his best to make healing items to help you sleep as they have a more calming effect. It won't be long before he suggests that the both of you should see a professional about it as he does want to get better with you.
Thistle: Thistle has his traumas and it's hard for him to sleep, especially when he's had a stressful day or when he's faced with flashbacks. He doesn't sleep often but is forced to by his brother who helps him a ton. He tries to make sure you are relaxed and gives you massages or warms you up until you can't help but rest.
Chestnut: He too, has his own share of nightmares and it gets hard to sleep sometimes with too much magic running in his system. Once he realizes what exactly it is that you're going through, he keeps you active, actually making you tired by helping him around the house and looks after your meals so that it's all balanced for you. This also helps him better with looking after his brother.

Tumblr media
wangan: onii-chan!?
Tumblr media
wait what
Tumblr media
ouch
Tumblr media
soooo karaka believes wangan’s story even w/o ring then?
Tumblr media
*spits tea* ow goddammit not the feels
anyhoo that’s the end of s2, siu put a note about break but yeah that was years ago, so pretty sure i’ll be starting s3 even now but i won’t be posting it rn
anyhoo well that was suprisingly long season? my usual knowledge of “Seasons” is usually from anime, and these tend to have seasons with usual 2 or 3 arcs but they usually don’t go in so many different directions
personally it feels like half of season 2 is a season on it’s own tbh, and maybe that’s how anime could adapt it, perhaps? although 12 episodes would work best with just setting on saving bam from fug.. either anime would make the seasons in parts like aot did with s3 or have lots and lots of seasons, since probability of anime getting 24 episodes has gotten awfully small those years
As for the opinions on season 2... I see first half and season on it’s own, so let’s start from this - Bam getting rescued, and first time they enter hell train. First of all, Bam as Viole is absolutely nailing this, and I wouldn’t mind having Viole as protagonist to be honest, although it would be indeed sad as Viole is not the happiest person, but damn is he a cutie. Is he a baby.
Wangan - oh dear I dunno if others saw the plot twist coming, but I did not - I have absolutely been viewing him as Bam’s counterpart to his Viole side, just a complete shounen protagonist who’s completely ordinary. Boy was I w ro n g. I only remember vaguely being sus about him when Viole has mentioned his ring, but that was about it, as it was never mentioned again, I forgot about it. And then it appeared Karaka has this ring. Boy was I shooketh.
I don’t think I exactly liked the further progression though until Wangan’s story was revealed - until then he kinda fell into background, and then soon again as said story was revealed. However I do know Siu has big plans with him, and at this point I know Siu’s writing enough, so I don’t have much worries about his further progression
Also sadly there was no Karaka-Wangan brother bonding
Next in mind I have Khun, naturally, as he’s my icy hot favourite. I don’t really know why even, when I saw him in anime I was quite indifferent about him. So if you want me to explain why do I like khun, I can’t really explain. Other than when he was becoming my favourite, I remember being dissappointed in myself and making a post to myself “Goddammit don’t fall for him just because he’s your type” and he’s not even really my type in terms of personality, but at that point I was jsut shrugging it off, maybe it was his childish over-dramatic posture contrasting his cold personality because I just hit that protect button
Also yes I may be basic just slap me already
And before I’ll start talking: girl’s scout outfit, really? I support my son and I can understand his edgy and k-pop fashion... But I’d be lying if I said I understood him for shit at that moment
So now that we’re past back... I was actually recently re-reading first chapters, and damn, the difference of Khun before Bam was rescued - was rather intriguing. He was laughing his ass off at silly things (his team being dressed silly) but oh sweetie did it feel weird.
Next, I keep thinking about him on the train obliberating Rachel - despite popular opinion, his cockiness was actually getting on my nerves, and only thing saving it, was his reasons were Bam - so in other words, at least he wasn’t an asshat for his own sake.
I much liked his personality during second half of the season 2 - as much as there wasn’t much khunbam content - seems like Khun has grown as a person,as his cocky aura much disappeared as he became more understanding towards his own weaknesses. Now his “cockiness” became rather entertaining if you catch my drift, because despite his jerk nature, he *is* well aware of his flaws, and I just like that. Not that he *wasn’t* considerate of that already, but the hidden floor really did wonders on him.
And dear my, his relationship with Bam. I’ll be honest, at some point during reading first half of season 2, I felt like I was reading romance story between him and Bam. It was all the little things, like playing with Rachel just to know Bam’s past, Khun noticing Bam was uncomfortable with Viole wig, Khun being near Bam as he spoke he has no reasons to live, Khun standing up for Bam when strangers tried to use him and Isu asked for his help but skipped the asking part, Khun looking back to Bam telling him he’ll be back when going to catch the fish on train, Khun trying to talk to him when Bam locked himself up in his room on train, constantly checking and finally waiting in his room when he notices Bam is gone, Khun noticing lack of Bam’s presence before going to floor of death right *after* he just said he feels like world is ending if Bam isn’t here, and then beeming when Bam does in fact appears. And that’s just all the stuff I can remember right now, and I mean the *little* things. The big things are the ones we know well - “So that I can always chase” and the famous world one I don’t have to quote.
Second half didn’t have much scenes, but there were few that did stuck to me - Bam’s line to Kiseia how he understands why she hates him, but he’ll do everything he can to stop her if she plans to harm Khun *again*. Because it seemed like Bam kind of moved on from Khun getting stabbed by his sis, but that panel did show that not only it *did* stay with him, it also stayed with him that it was *Kiseia* who hurt him.
Another scene was the one I don’t think I need to talk about much, as we all pretty understand - moment of Khun and Eduan awkward father-son bonding. Khun tries to close himself off, but Bam reaches out, and forces him out of comfort zone
But what mostly stuck out to me, was his behaviour after Khun became kinda dead. It was the way he spoke to endorsi and rest, how *he’s* going to take khun and follow the *harder* path, and anyone who *don’t want to come*, can take the easier one. Basically, he was prepared to go the harder route completely alone because it meant taking Khun with him, and he was just, prepared to go without any help, he only optionally added that others can join if they *want* to.
Another interesting scene, was Hwaryun calling him out, when few of his teammates has been captured, due to them taking the different path from Bam - but if they are meant to escape with Khun, they have to leave them, and when Bam gets steamy about it, Hwaryun goes - “I didn’t choose the teams. You’ve chosen them based on who matters more.” It’s so subtle, so cruel, yet intriguing - one of the most worst way to tell someone he cares for someone else more - she’s only saying Khun mattered to him more, but in this context, it sounds accusing, making Bam’s decision selfish. And that’s something that’s absolutely in my mind - his care for Khun, called out in “accusing” matter - as something that stopped him from commiting other decision - as something he’s willing to priotize others over.
So I can’t stop thinking about that, and truthfully? That last “take care of Khun after me.” line.
But the other line from bam’s monolouge that gets me is “Wait a bit more Khun... I’ll wake you up again.” That “again” gets to me, but I can’t really explain it. Maybe it’s the way he looks at Khun longily.
So this covers their relationship, and I think I’m only gonna mention Bam now real quick and perhaps Eudan and Jahad, because the post’s getting long and I don’t want to make *this* post specifically long.
I don’t have much to say about Bam, as Bam himself doesn’t have much to say about him. He didn’t have much definying features or characteristics besides the time he was Viole, but you have to hand it to him for growing after meeting after she pushed him for the first time - it was still hard to say anything about him though. For several chapters later - as well, except he did manage to develop the traits of self-sacriface, and actual resolve to save everyone - because he talks about *always* and sure fights for his friends, but who doesn’t? Where his personality shines in this regard, is in the moment of Bam saving his enemies with no questions asked, and White by the way definetely helped Bam to develop his personality for sure.
But either way I’m here roasting Bam, while my goal was to say, that it was in the hidden floor where I’ve actually started recognizing him as his own character - it was in the moment of him having final confrontation with Viole, I finally saw what kind of person he was. And I liked it, he became a solid character in that moment, accompanied by proper flashbacks and exploration. And Bam continues to be then written quite consinstely as in one of later flashbacks, he indeed says, what he said to Viole a while ago - he’s afraid of being alone. Not only that, the internal conflict was added - is he a monster? is he not? It’s simple conflict but can do wonders, and it’s not something that Bam even thinks about, it’s more of a really subtle conflict within a character design itself, rather than Bam.
So basically now Bam indeed feels more of an actual character
And before I’ll end it for now, I want to mention the meeting of young Eudan, andyoung Jahad - truth to be told, I don’t have most unique feelings towards them as anyone sees the point - the adventures with pure intentions turned evil, aka how everyone can turn evil. What makes me more interested, is how Siu has used it for storytelling... Main characters having a big meeting with the younger versions of villians? Haven’t seen that one yet, so I’m interested what direction Siu will take with it, since this is my first time seeing it, so I’m really curious how exactly you can utilize such scenes in terms of long planned story, and not only how they affect story as a whole, but how they also affect just aspects of it as well.
So, that’d be it on my commentary and small “opinion” on season 2. It wasn’t like I exactly wanted  to put it here, but I wanted the end of season 2 to have more meaning to myself. But not only to have a meaning to myself *just* for my own reasons, but because I didn’t want to leave the whole season with nothing but small comments there and there. I wanted my experience altogether to be something bigger - but not only experience, but my “legacy” as well. So, that’d be about it x2, if you’re still reading, congratulations, I appreciate that, and you get an apple

Is there the full list of brandersons favourite games reposted somewhere?
i dont think so? or not that ive seen. u can literally just sign up for the newsletter on his website but screw it ill just post them for u. it sure was a TRIP scrolling past these to get to the interlude though. undertale is on this list.....im shakign at the thought that adolin was based off ff10 tidus but i cant get it out of my head now
#10: Katamari Damaci
I love things that make me look at the world in a new way. Katamari did this in spades. It is an imaginative, bizarre vision with unique gameplay. It is like nothing else in the world and I love it for all its strangeness and occasional lack of gameplay polish.
I was transfixed the first time I played it, and have looked forward to it being remade and rereleased on multiple different consoles. I love the cute—and somehow creepy at the same time—storyline. It feels like a fever dream more than a game sometimes, and is probably the closest I’ll ever get to understanding what it’s like to do drugs.
#9: Undertale
This is an oddball on this list because I think it’s the only game that is not a franchise from a major studio—but is instead an indie game, which I believe was originally funded on Kickstarter.I loved how this felt like a novel as much as a game. It was one person’s vision; a single story told really well, with a huge amount of personality. The humor was just my kind of wonderful/terrible, and I was instantly enamored with the characters. That probably would have been enough, but it is a nice deconstruction of video games as a medium—and has not one, but multiple innovative gameplay mechanics. Together, the package left me enamored. This is a work of genius that I feel everyone should at least try, even if it ends up not being for them.
#8: Fallout: New Vegas
I have played all of the core Fallout games, and I was one of the (it seems few) who was really excited when it moved from turn-based tactics to first-person shooter. While Fallout 3 was good, it didn’t have the charm of the first two.New Vegas delivered on everything I was hoping to see. The charm was back, the writing sharp, the quests imaginative. The gameplay was engaging and branched in a variety of directions, the gunplay was solid, and the atmosphere immersive. I of course love the first two games in the series—but New Vegas combines everything I like in gaming into one package. (As a note, I own the Outer Worlds, and am looking forward to digging into it. Consider this item on the list a recommendation of other Obsidian games—like Knights of the Old Republic Two—regardless of genre, as I’ve found them universally to be superior to their contemporaries.)
#7 Super Mario World
When I was eleven, I flew (alone, which was very exciting to me) from Nebraska to visit my uncle Devon in Salt Lake City. Before I left, my father gave me $200 and told me to pay for my own meals while on the trip—but of course, my uncle didn’t allow this. At the end of the trip, I tried to give him the money, which he wouldn’t take.I mentioned my dad would take the money back when I got home, but that was okay. Well, my uncle would have none of that, and drove me to the local mall and made me spend it on a Nintendo Entertainment System. (This uncle, you might guess, is an awesome human being.)Since that day of first plugging it in and experiencing Mario for the first time, I was hooked. This is the only platformer on the list, as I don’t love those. But one makes an exception for Mario. There’s just so much polish, so much elegance to the control schemes, that even a guy who prefers an FPS or an RPG like me has to admit these are great games. I picked World as my favorite as it’s the one I’ve gone back to and played the most.
#7: The Curse of Monkey Island (Monkey Island 3)
I kind of miss the golden age of adventure gaming, and I don’t know that anyone ever got it as right as they did with this game. It is the pinnacle of the genre, in my opinion—no offense to Grim Fandango fans. This game came out right before gaming’s awkward teenage phase where everything moved to 3-d polygons. For a while after, games looked pretty bad, though they could do more because of the swap. But if you want to go see what life was like before that change, play Monkey Island 3. Composed of beautiful art pieces that look like cells from Disney movies, with streamlined controls (the genre had come a long way from “Get yon torch”) and fantastic voice acting, this game still plays really well. This is one of the few games I’ve been able to get my non-gamer wife to play through with me, and it worked really well as a co-op game with the two of us trying to talk through problems. It’s a lovingly crafted time capsule of a previous era of gaming, and if you missed it, it’s really worth trying all these years later. (The first and second games hold up surprisingly well too, as a note, particularly with the redone art that came out a decade or so ago.)Also, again, this one has my kind of humor.
#6: Breath of the Wild
I never thought a Zelda game would unseat A Link to the Past as my favorite Zelda, but Breath of the Wild managed it. It combined the magic of classic gameplay with modern design aesthetic, and I loved this game. There’s not a lot to say about it that others haven’t said before, but I particularly liked how it took the elements of the previous games in the series (giving you specific tools to beat specific challenges) and let you have them all at once. I like how the dungeons became little mini puzzles to beat, instead of (sometimes seemingly endless) slogs to get through. I liked the exploration, the fluidity of the controls, and the use of a non-linear narrative in flashbacks. It’s worth buying a Switch just to play this one and Mario—but in case you want, you can also play Dark Souls on Switch... (That’s foreshadowing.)
#5: Halo 2
Telling stories about Halo Two on stream is what made me think of writing this list.I’m sometimes surprised that this game isn’t talked about as much as I think it should be. Granted, the franchise is very popular—but people tend to love either Reach or games 1 or 3 more than two. Two, however, is the only one I ever wanted to replay—and I’ve done so three or four times at this point. (It’s also the only one I ever beat on Legendary.)It’s made me think on why I love this one, while so many others seem to just consider it one of many in a strong—but in many ways unexceptional—series of games. I think part of this is because I focus primarily on the single-player aspects of a game (which is why there aren’t any MMOs on this list.) Others prefer Halo games with more balanced/polished multiplayer. But I like to game by myself, and don’t really look for a multiplayer experience. (Though this is changing as I game with my sons more and more.)I really like good writing—which I suppose you’d expect. But in games, I specifically prefer writing that enhances the style of game I’m playing. Just dumping a bunch of story on me isn’t enough; it has to be suited to the gameplay and the feel of the game. In that context, I’ve rarely encountered writing as good as Halo 2. From the opening—with the intercutting and juxtaposition of the two narratives—to the quotes barked out by the marines, the writing in this game is great. It stands out starkly against other Halo games, to the point that I wonder what the difference is.Yes, Halo Two is a bombastic hero fantasy about a super soldier stomping aliens. But it has subtle, yet powerful worldbuilding sprinkled all through it—and the music...it does things with the story that I envy. It’s kind of cheating that games and films get to have powerful scores to help with mood. The guns in Two feel so much better than Halo One, and the vehicles drive far better. The only complaint I have is that it’s only half a story—as in, Halo 2 and 3 seem like they were one game broken in two pieces. And while 3 is good (and Reach does something different, which I approve of in general) neither did it for me the way Two did, and continues to do.
#3: Final Fantasy X
You probably knew Final Fantasy was coming. People often ask if the way these games handle magic was an influence upon me. All I can say is that I’ve played them since the first one, and so they’re bound to have had an influence. On one hand, these games are really strange. I mean, I don’t think we gamers stop quite often enough to note how downright bizarre this series gets. Final Fantasy doesn’t always make the most sense—but the games are always ambitious.Ten is my favorite for a couple of reasons. I felt like the worldbuilding was among the strongest, and I really connected with the characters. That’s strange, because this is one of the FF games without an angst-filled teen as the protagonist. Instead, it has a kind of stable happy-go-lucky jock as the protagonist. But that’s what I needed, right then. A game that didn’t give me the same old protagonist, but instead gave me someone new and showed me I could bond to them just as well. Ten was the first with full voice acting, and that jump added a lot for me. It has my favorite music of the series, and all together is what I consider the perfect final fantasy game. (Though admittedly, I find it more and more difficult to get into turn-based battle mechanics as I grow older.)
#2: Bloodborne
Those who follow my streams, or who read other interviews I’ve done, probably expected this series to be at or near the top. The question wasn’t whether Souls would be here, but which one to pick as my favorite.I went with Bloodborne, though it could have been any of them. (Even Dark Souls 2—which I really like, despite its reputation in the fandom.) I’ve been following FromSoftware’s games since the King’s Field games, and Demon’s Souls was a huge triumph—with the director Hidetaka Miyazaki deserving much of the praise for its design, and Dark Souls (which is really just a more polished version of Demon’s Souls). As I am a fan of cosmic horror, Bloodborne is probably my favorite overall. It really hit the mix of cosmic and gothic horror perfectly. It forced me to change up my gameplay from the other Souls games, and I loved the beautiful visuals.I am a fan of hard games—but I like hard games that are what I consider “fair.” (For example, I don’t love those impossible fan-made Mario levels, or many of the super-crazy “bullet hell”-style games.) Dark Souls is a different kind of hard. Difficult like a stern instructor, expecting you to learn—but giving you the tools to do so. It presents a challenge, rather than being hard just to be hard.If I have a problem with Final Fantasy, it’s that the games sometimes feel like the gameplay is an afterthought to telling the story. But in the Souls games, story and gameplay are intermixed in a way I’d never seen done before. You have to construct the story like an archeologist, using dialogue and lore from descriptions of in-game objects. I find this fascinating; the series tells stories in a way a book never could. I’m always glad when a game series can show off the specific strengths of the medium. In fact, this series would be #1 except for the little fact that I have way too much time on Steam logged playing...
#1: Civilization VI
This series had to take #1 by sheer weight of gameplay time. I discovered the first on a friend’s computer in the dorms my freshman year—and I can still remember the feeling of the birds chirping outside, realizing I’d been playing all night and really should get back to my own dorm room. That still happens, and has happened, with every game in the series. I have a lot of thoughts on this series, many of them granular and too specific for this list. (Like, it’s obvious AI technology isn’t up to the task of playing a game this complex—so could we instead get a roguelike set of modifiers, game modes, etc. to liven up the games, rather than just having a difficulty slider that changes a few simple aspects of the game?)I’ll try not to rant, because I really do love this game series. A lot of people consider IV to be the pinnacle of the series, but after V unstacked units—and VI unstacked cities—there was no way I could ever go back. If for some reason, you’ve never played this grand patriarch of the 4X game genre, it’s about starting with a single stone-age settler who can found a city—then playing through eras of a civilization, growing your empire, to try to eventually get offworld with a space program. (Or, if you prefer, conquering the world.)It’s a load of fun in the way I like to have fun, and I feel like the series has only gotten better over the years. My hat is off to the developers, who keep reinventing the series, rather than making the exact same game over and over. Now, about that request for difficulty modes...
there are runner ups but for the sake of anyone whos on mobile and cant get past a read more (first of all omg im SO sorry) ill refrain. anyway he thought WHAT loz game was the best before botw?

Map of the Soul: 7
After a ~315 day drought without new music and a comeback from the legends, we are finally back with MOTS: 7! It been a hot minute since ive done a album review (solely for myself LMAO) so lets get back into it bc this album is a home run
Interlude: Shadow. Here we have the extended version of the interlude. can i just say that the lyrics to this masterpiece are so real and true. its not suga speaking nor is it agust d, this is min yoongi speaking of his internal conflict with the celebrity life, which is heartbreaking. on another note, the visuals of the mv are stunning and the ending--dont u just wanna go apeshit??? truly a great addition to the album!
Black Swan. sister black swan has been with us for a month-ish now? it still bumps. HARD. i blasted this to and from my drive to work to the point where i was scared if id get sick of the song but that didnt happen. the way how its hard to pinpoint when and where a member would sing/rap because they INTENTIONALLY wanted the voices to blend as if they were one body. this is the group’s narrative on how no matter how passionate one is on a certain craft, when they lose that drive, its like a death. and it is up to themselves to spark that love and interest once again. a very relatable story across various media, talents, skills, etc.
Filter. When I first heard that this was a jimin solo showcasing the many sides of Jimin, i thought that it was going to be a sad ballad to kind of follow the theme mots: 7 seemed to give off; thought that it would talk about how he has to force personas onto himself to appeal to the masses, but it is the complete opposite. Jimin is all the faces he puts on, he can be cute, sweet, and caring Jimin but he is also a sexy, flirty young man that can attract any living being. how he switches from falsettos to a lower register voice is beyond me, what a versatile one he is! <3
My Time. Moving onto jungkook’s solo, I knew the lyrics were going to be sad especially when it seems to compare himself to others his age. How he speaks about how fast time runs for him, how his childhood and current life is not of the average 22 year old (LIKE UM HERE I AM, SAME AGE AS JUNGKOOK AND IM NORMAL AF while he’s out here breaking records?? WOW). but the life of jungoo can be a bit overwhelming, completely understandable. I just want our boi JK to know that he can be himself and live freely despite such different circumstances. On another note, the groove of this track is so GOOD. it reminds me of Ari and ugh i LIVE for this jam
Louder Than Bombs. When the track started, I could totally tell Troye Sivan helped produce it, it has such a unique sound that only Troye would use. It sounds like this song would totally be on a movie soundtrack IDK WHY. like, i can picture it during an apocalypse movie sldkjg im not completely sure what the meaning is to the song (bc im big stupid) but i feel like its a track saying that no matter the struggles, they will continue to sing confidently, strongly, and wholly to us endlessly. beautiful, just beautiful.
ON. Moving on to the title track of MOTS: 7! I’m very picky about strong anthem-type songs but ON is actually p addicting HAHA There’s a background sound that repeats in the back that sounds like Sans from Undertale, aint that wild LMAO but anyways, the Manifesto Film was crazy good. The drums, the band, the breakdown of it all? UNBELIEVABLE. Also, JK’s vocals during the bridge? H O W. That breakdown tho...oof, that was amazing. They still dance with the thirst that rookie bts would and i think thats why ppl are so drawn to them no matter how many years pass. Fun fact: the choreographer of ON as well as Dionysus actually is from my city in Hawaii and we went to the same high school THATS WILD. the talent she holds!
UGH! Rap line ATE this shit, are we KIDDING. An ode to all the hate comments that we receive, u can see how fed up they are. They made POINTS and we all agree, its the damn law. The way how they opened up with a gunshot, we knew it was coming. Everyone joked about how we bout to hear some gunshots on this album, well they threw ALL of it on this track. Can i just say that Hobi’s verse tho? it hits different, it really do. When they went “ahem, ahem. ahem, ahem-ahem, YOUR AHEM. AHEM-AHEM--” OOOOOUGH i felt that shit!! god, imagine this in concert...the building aint ready!
0:00 (Zero O’ clock). Now we have the vocal line track, we knew they were bout to present some vocals. Great sound, slow and reflecting. Not the first track I’d listen to but it is a great listen. The lyrics tho get to me. The way how they comfort us and say that life can be rough but you can be happy. no matter what happens, with the turning of the clock to 0:00, its a brand new day and we can make the day better. what a powerful message that all of us need to hear once in a while. we will be happy guys, we deserve to be.
Inner Child. Tae’s solo which is a message to his young self. I expected a slow ballad filled with his warm vocals reminiscent of Winter Bear, 4 o’ clock, and Scenery but boi was I wrong. He has this sunset glow voice that wraps u so warmly and the sound is just so happy, pure, and innocent. Its a hopeful message to his younger self on how we will change and be the amazing person we want to or will be. I was sobbing at this song, I tell u. It was 2:00 am in the morning and I was sobbing into my pillow. Imagine comforting your past self that everything will be okay and to take ur hand, it will be all worth it in the end. When he sang “ur my boy, my boy, my boy, my boy!” Ugh...the tears!
Friends. When I heard this was a vmin duet expressing their friendship with each other, I knew it was going to be so emotional! I didn’t expect such a fun, poppy sound tho. They truly are soulmates, the love they have for each other is so wholesome and real, it truly exhibits the love I have for my friends--they’ve been with me through thick and thin, during happy and sad times; the amounts of serotonin they give me is just HHHH. The way how Tae and Jimin have been friends since high school until now is just ugh...we love it. Towards the end when they started singing “you are my soulmate!” towards each other, i started sobbing so hard because WOW. the shivers i felt, this song made me so happy and full!
Moon. Next we have Jin’s solo which is an ode to us army’s. And on another perspective, this is a song from the moon (jin) to the Earth (army)--i have tears in my eyes. The lyrics especially got me in a chokehold and made me sob, the way how he says that he will always be by our side no matter what, the same way how we are there for him...god. The chorus really gets to me, it feels so happy and thankful and I just want to tell Jin that I will forever follow him and the boys. They’ve been with me for years now and I will continue to support, love, and listen to them. Ily to the moon and back, our moon.
Respect. I didn’t expect a Namgi duet but HERE WE ARE. Goddd when i heard that i was SO EXCITE. They’ve known each other for +10 years now and they never miss the chance to tell everyone that they’ve been friends for that long. Not @ how they disliked each other at first but grew to be so mf close, to the point where their family. Ughhh, im so uwu rn. Im so happy, so so happy that Nams started it with AYO SUGA; i SCREAMED. Also, i heard that they recorded it in one take and i could see how much fun they had--especially considering that their rap styles are completely different. Even tho in the song they joke about not knowing what the word Respect means, we know...we just KNOW the high amounts of respect they have for each other. As they mentioned before, Yoon’s respects towards Nams’ leadership and care towards everyone and Nams’ respect towards Yoon’s love and passion for music and producing. Peak comedy is Yoongs overloading on autotune during his parts to the point where its intentional. Bless Namgi.
We are Bulletproof: The Eternal. I felt like a CLOWN when this track started. Like everyone, i thought we were going to have a third installment similar to that of the strong, hip-hop, gunshot-filled part 1 and 2 of we are bulletproof, but we were met with soft vocals and rap. The lyrics tho get to me. This truly was a song about their entire journey and i felt like I experienced all years with them. They’ve been through so much and the way how they sang “we are we are together/forever bulletproof!” They are proud of where they came from and it has stuck with them till now. They are such real people...i cry. ALSO the “We were only seven, but we have you all now.” Whenever i see pictures of their debut fanmeets/concerts vs now its just crazy. imagine singing as an entire being during concerts when they start “OOOOH OH OHH” im so immensely proud of the feats they’ve reached and im excited on what they do next! <3
Outro: Ego. The way how he started it with the fitness gram pacer test just like in previous albums, ugh what a throwback! this song is such a Hobi track, its fun, dance-inducing and its just so FEEL GOOD. the way how he switches flows and is capable of doing so is *chef’s kiss* the way how he speaks about the path he takes is difficult but he doesnt regret it...SOBS also the mv??? UGH SO CUTE. the flashbacks too;; i cry
ON (feat. Sia). With this track, there’s not much extra I can say, all my opinions still stand with the original track wit ot7. I jokingly told my friend that if Sia is gonna be on the track “hey nanana’ing” the same why Halsey was only “oh my my my’ing” i will ctfu. and...welp, that was what happened. I do love Sia tho so props to her!
Overall: I initially thought that MOTS: 7 was going to be a dark, ballad-filled album but it was anything but. It had so much fun songs, the lyrics are again, so deep and meaningful--it pulls at your heartstrings. It felt so raw, personal, emotional, and i love it in all its being. The boys will continue to amaze me no matter what they put out and i forever and endlessly will support and love them the same way they do for us. MOTS: 7 is a masterpiece and im in love

II Animatic Ideas
I HAVE TOO MANY OF THEM SO THE ONES I PROBABLY WONT MAKE WILL BE PUT HERE IN CASE SOMEONE WANTS TO MAKE IT OR I LOOK BACK AT THIS LIST.
Yee. This a looong post.
1. Familiar - Steven Universe
I was thinking it could be about MePhone4 and his memories. The first “Mom” could be the standards he needed to meet and the other moms could be referring to Steve Cobs or something like that.
2. I’m not a Robot - Marina & The Diamonds
Another MePhone one! This time, it could focus on MePhone and Cob’s relationship. Mainly MePhone trying to show Cobs that he, unlike a robot, can make mistakes and can’t meet all of Cob’s expectations.
3. Little Game - Benny
This one’s about Paintbrush. I mean- do I really have to explain? It fits really well in my opinion.
4. I am not Nothing - Beth Crowley
Suitcase standing up to Baseball and Nickel would really fit this song. With her thinking they were just taking advantage of her and the whole misunderstanding, this would fit.
5. Two Player Game - Be More Chill
Fan and Test Tube NEED to sing this song. I feel like this would sorta be something to look back at their friendship. Perhaps it could end or include a flashback of them looking at the stars? It’d probably take place in the space of time before Mine Your Own Business but after Alternate Reality Show and they’d somehow be playing a video game and just hanging out. (I really want this to happen if you couldn’t tell but I wanna do other animatics too)
6. Control - Halsey
-Inhales- I HAVEN’T SEEN SOMEONE MAKE THIS YET AND I’M SHOCKED NO ONE HAS. We need one for Paper and Evil Paper. This song can basically sum up what was happening to him in season one like omg.
7. Stressed Out - Twenty One Pilots
Really fitting considering how the competition has been . . . That. Oh, how nice and simple times were before! That was back when the worst thing that happened was a petty fight that wouldn’t cause them to be mad for long. Wouldn’t the II cast want to go back to those times? -Sigh- If only.
8. Worst Day of my Life - Alec Benjamin
Yet another MePhone one! (I’m really interested in his backstory XD) This one could focus on his life with Cobs and leaving by the verse after the first chorus and eventually erasing his memories near the end before the final chorus.
9. Inner Demons - Julia Brennan
This could fit for both Suitcase and Paper and frankly, I feel like this sums up what they were experiencing (but to be honest, I feel like it fits Suitcase more since Paper didn’t really seemed scared of Evil Paper but instead scared of how he hurt others).
10. Secrets - One Republic
I feel like this song (especially the chorus) fits who Taco was. It could start with her and Pickle and progress to her story with Mic. It would a be a great song representing how she’s staring to come clean and being more honest and open.
11. I’m the Bad Guy - Wander Over Yonder
First of all, if ever I make it, I would use the Undertale cover mainly because I’d find it funny having Taco sounding like an evil little kid the entire video. Yes, this one’s for Taco. It’d be for Cobs but then “I’m not your best friend or distraught and clueless” sounds a BIT too much like Taco. Okay, a LOT like Taco. Anyways, this’d show a different side to her where she’s an evil piece of Mexican food and everyone is her peasant. Just imagine Pickle going against her. AGH my heart.
12. Be Somebody - Thousand Foot Krutch
I feel like I should end this on a happy song considering all the drama I packed into the previous ones. I imagine this one would focus on the contestants helping each other and growing as people. Bringing out the best and worst in each other while demonstrating how far they’d go to win.
---
S’yeah. Feel free to use these (and check out the songs, they’re really good). I’m not sure if hearing a song and thinking about an animatic for it happens to everyone but it does for me and I thought I’d share my ideas! I’ll probs share more if I come up with more. If you’ve got some too, perhaps reblog? Idk, I’d like to hear your ideas :3

I had One of Those Dreams again last night. The kind that seems to last a long time and have an intense plot and characters with real emotion, that evolves and morphs into different stories as it goes along.
And I keep thinking back on it periodically through the day because it was really...idk attention-holding?
Like I don’t remember much, but there are a few clear and unconnected scenes I do remember.
1. I was at a house somewhere (it doesn’t really matter) and met this guy who I clicked with at once. Like we were on the level of saying the same thing at the EXACT same time and having the same emotions/opinions toward things. Plus we both wanted to be like...in love? so we were pretty much immediately inseparable and I was sitting in his lap cuddling as we talked to peeps.
It was like Instant Boyfriend.
2. Fast forward to when the plot has reached some sort of climax and he’s like, gone to the dark side. Now I think it was 100% Undertale inspired because that conversation wasn’t like......in the real world, it was like some sort of boss battle and i was refusing to fight. Basically he was all evil and he was like, saying that none of it had been real and he’d been tricking me. But I didn’t believe it. (he also had an evil friend so i was like *side eyes emoji*)
3. Flashback to his past and he was like, a Polynesian sailor who was involved in some sort of dramatic boat incident. It was like Moana but with less magic. But he was definitely a good guy trying to save people and I was like “i fucking knew it that bitch is lying about being evil”
i think i had some sort of emotional speech about how i know that what we had was real even if he doesn’t. and i still believe in him or w/e mushy crap is in my subconscious
4. at some point when the dream had morphed, i was in a store looking at all sorts of shit. there was a tinker bell suitcase that was cute but way too huge even for me. then there was this like, sparkly dark greenish/blueish dress and matching shoes and i wanted to try it on but they had fuck all in the back so i was like “okay so take it off the mannequin then??” but anyways i got to try it on and it was way too big and there was another woman in the dressing room who was trying on the shoes and i thought she was rude at first but we commiserated on the store’s shitty sizing/stock
5. i was at some....house. which does matter this time. because it was really weird. and this new neighbor was showing me around and there was a bunk bed and then a bunk...couch? like in lego movie. except the top couch was too low so you’d have to lay in the bottom one if you wanted to fit there. and the girl and her family were all creepy and it was stormy and there was a big...murdery....scary plot.....idk
6. me and scary redheaded girl (this may be pertinent because im prejudiced against the color orange) went to a weird old party store and tried on silly wigs and shit and i was still scared of her so i was trying to pretend to be her friend
anyways i have weird dreams and i should start writing them down more so i can remember them and get better at analyzing them. i don’t know this one means except that i like undertale, am lonely, and scared of red haired murderers.
