Splatoon 3 artbook is coming! and they gave us hi res sample pages! so i translated them!

I’ve already preordered the book, and since I live in Japan I should be getting it very soon after release. mark my words I’m gonna go crazee translating it i need that Lore

In the meantime, some translations of the sample pages! take a look under the cut:

Page 44, IKIMONO (Living things)

yellow text: Among the living things in the Inkling world, a wide variety of species exist. There are creatures that can take on a humanoid form as well, called "Inklings" and "Octolings", the former being squids, and the latter being octopuses. white text in gray box: The old and the new mix to make the Splatland's youth culture The young people who grew up in Splatsville take pride in being born and raised in the Splatlands, and there is an extremely strong sense of solidarity in the community. They deeply cherish their old local culture, which is unsophisticated and simple, yet strong. At the same time, they like to make fun of urban areas such as Inkopolis for acting like they're "all that". On the other hand, many of them secretly yearn for that sophisticated, high-collar, Inkopolis culture. The current culture of chaos created by the youth with such a flip-flopping mentality is becoming increasingly global.

I’m going to translate these roughly. character select screen outfit, left: lines pointing to reflective goggles, a mask that blocks dust, and the cape. the cape is made from kelp, and is meant to block out sunlight. hero suit outfit, right: the “ultra light earpiece” is so light, it doesn’t even feel like you’re wearing it. The ink display is a digital screen. Boots are meant for rough terrain. Interestingly, agent 3 is holding a weapon called a “Hero Extinguisher.”

the gear on the left is called “hunting equipment”. The earpiece is based on an udon noodle. It’s small, but it has a deep sound (with bass i assume instead of sounding tinny?) Around the neck are cooling pads. The shirt is made from a seaweed fabric. apparently its wrapped around their upper body and kind of hurts to wear. you can see their underwear, but its the kind of underwear that’s supposed to be seen for Fashion. idk what its called but you guys know what im talking about. The ink tank is homemade. in the pouch of the backpack are snacks. to the right are very early concepts.

Page 62, Deep Cut concepts

It’s a lot of handwritten notes with a lot of pointing out what the drawing is, so I’m going to translate roughly.

bottom left is pointing out various things about frye’s head anatomy. small chin, forehead sticks out, thick neck, head curves like this and this etc. middle frye with the bit of green and red makeup is described as having a clown-like feel to it. tiny furthest right drawing is commenting on a specific nose shape concept as “bird-like.” she almost had the same nose as my main OCs what the

red arrows on the right: long arms, long thighs, squared shoulders are pretty. hand in the middle with black text: something like ‘if she has hands with ornamentation like this it makes her hands seem long’ bottom left: the little doodle of the face reads that her ‘mouth is kind of like this.’ the other text talks about how her eyebrows move asymmetrically, as having that kind of variety in the movement is key.

left: she’s saying something about sharks? apparently she was going to be associated with sharks with shiver being associated with eels instead. right: various sound effects. “looking around absentmindedly” “rocking back and forth” “dozing off.” on the bottom it shows her suddenly stiffening to attention.

left: in her left hand, it’s a sensu (japanese folding fan). in her right, its a harisen (the kind of folding fan used to smack people in slapstick routines) gonna be real here the text on the right is too cursivey i cant read it

not a lot of text on this page, mostly images, have a look yourself. top right passage: A majestic canyon where the history of the Inkling world can be seen in the strata and rock formations. Many enjoy rock climbing here. There's a spawn point that was once used for ink battles that no-one has bothered to remove.

I started and beat this within like 4 days in July 2023, and I just completely forgot to take photos of this spread T-T.

BUT I loved Tunic so much, one of my all time favorite games I've ever played. If this was a Zelda game, it might've been my favorite Zelda game. This was only beat out by Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice bc my aa brainrot is that bad hfjdkal.

Summary

What a phenomenal game. I loved playing this game so much. It was challenging and I wasn't used to the souls mechanics, but I learned fast and had so much fun fighting the bosses. I love the two endings. The Bad where you replace your former self as the heir, continuing the cruel cycle. The Good where you free the Heir and find out it's you, older, someone who is no longer stuck in the cycle, and you get to be friends together. The music is absolutely gorgeous. I listened to it while falling asleep and was just sobbing from it. I love how mysterious the lore is and how everything still hasn't been answered. I love the designs of the environments and enemies and how the game can go from nice and serene to dark and creepy. I loved how this game was a perfect blend of 2D zelda plus monument valley plus a souls game, it forced me to think outside of the box and use my journal to takes notes on all the little secrets and surprises. I can def see myself play this game again, it's such a charming game that has a lot of nostalgia despite being a fairly new game. I am so happy I bought the deluxe edition, I truly cherish this game so much and love the stickers and artbooks I received. I highly recommend this game to anyone, it is such an incredible journey to go through. I'm gonna be spending a lot of time watching and reading about the lore and digging deeper into this game. Truly what a phenomenal game with such a cute yet tragic main character, ough i love tunic.

Ive been working hard to keep it running smoothly and my fellow mods have been doing some absolutely INSANE work, especially on the various graphics. Somehow our team ended up with three graphic designers in three different directions and then me as the one writer/editor SKDBSKNDKSD so we've got a ton of our bases just automatically covered. Its been a lot of fun to mod so far and i cant wait to see who else applies!!!!

When people get on my case over dumb shit. For instance. A couple of years ago I bought Persona 5 Royal and not JUST the game but the whole shebang, I got the big box combo. Comes with a mask, a good ol’ artbook(why I bought this), the game of course and a music CD. Now after talking about it with my boys at work in comes this bastard like ‘the world’s going to shit and you’re wasting your money on stupid games?!’ I just told ‘im to mind his own business without it braking into something big but for real that just annoys me. I’m not buying drugs illegally or a weapon for dumbshit just harmless ass games and merch, get off my dick. (bitching done)

What I like the most about it is meeting new peeps really. It’s always nice to have another homie in your corner, someone that shares a love for the things you do or maybe even like something you DISLIKE. For instance I disliked Wednesday at first but I have a friend who loves it and I asked him what he liked about it and honestly the answer he gave me lowkey made me go back to it and finish it and I can see his points. It’s not my favorite show but I appreciate what it brought to the table and i’m actually lookin’ forward to a season two. Oh look at me go off topic.

This could probably just be me but I feel like there’s a lot of division between us verse wise. I cold remember those sweet days roleplaying on Myspace and really anyone roleplayd with anyone back then and for the most part it was fun. You’d see something like a Spike Spiegel roleplaying with an Ash from pokemon. OR me myself that roleplayed as Seiya back in the day had a fun roleplay with an Adam from Power Rangers. POWER RANGERS. Then again I guess that ain’t fair since you can say they’re kinda from the same cloth. BUT you know what I mean. I’m not knocking on anyone but somtimes I wished we’d just jump into random roleplays more often, verses be damned. Just for somethin’ small and fun.

This is gonna be corny as hell but one of the better moments for me in the RPC was when I made my Joker (P5) Blog. I honestly doubt it would have been any good but man it felt like I was welcomed with open arms into the persona verse.

Stuff like that doesn’t really register but I do suppose sad moments are when a mutual you’ve known for some time just vanishes off the face of the planet. You wish them well and understand that there’s a life outside of this hobby but ya can’t help but miss ‘em.

my 21 vbros rant

This is clearly cobbled together as i had way more i wanted to say, but i can't be assed to edit my writeup. Maybe youll see some of these ideas and frustrations about s6/s7 in a later essay. Feel free to leave me anon hate about putting a 9 paragraph rant on your tl. Fish out

I have a lot of feelings abt 21 vbros's ego death because thats like. All he's known his entire life. Just this world of fun and games and shit, and once that comes crumbling down once, then twice, and like. I think ironically his character development being shunted off to the side is a hilarious parallel to nerd-dom and otakus in general

After having to actually face reality and stop dicking around, he ends up spending a ridiculous amount of time devoting himself further to being a henchman. physically, on the outside, he becomes almost unrecognizable and obsessed with revenge- yet his obsession with somehow proving that manliness by having sex with women falls short, because he can't understand relationships. (Or whateverthefuck the monarch and drgf have going on, anyways). In other words, while he might be more tough and physically aggressive he hasn't matured beyond that same childishness (in the commentaries.. they were going to have a gag where he stares at drgfs tits and flashbacks to a bunch of other girls he liked as a teenager. Which is ..stupid but speaks for how inexperienced he is). Like he still talks about girls that hugged him and made eye contact years ago.

im not going to excuse the weird sexist stuff he did in s4 though. I think some of it shifts the focus away from "awkward dude" to "fucking creep" territory and a lot of it wasn't rlly needed

But then after the s4 bit he steps away to do his own thing, but doesn't really get how. Whatever he tries to do on his own just falls to pieces because he's still obsessed with being part of a cool team, one that couldn't care less about him. He ends up crawling back to the Monarch, who he's been obsessed with his entire life*, back into the same rut of being a henchman. Slightly different now that there's only 3 of them.

*hammer shifts between calling 21's obsession with the monarch vaguely father-figure like, noting he grew up without a dad, but then also contrasting it with drgf's sexual interest in the monarch, and how they both 'fall in love' in their own ways. dr girlfriend's love being pity and romance and 21's being blind devotion

s5/s6 is kind of weird because you can see the consequences of the past seasons on monarch/21's relationship. (Fuck this post is getting long! Ill have to write it in essay form later). Hammer describes it in the artbook as this sort of, abusive buddy movie relationship. Where 21 feels used and manipulated but can't do shit about it. He wrote up the blue morpho plan, after all. He thought it was cool to assasinate, but then gets all bummed out about doing the dirty work and burying the bodies. He still can't bring himself to reconcile that "cool" image of himself as Kano, mowing through enemies in a cool car, and that of himself as a lackey. Of watching his boss fuck his hot wife in the living room meters away. He still glamorizes his life even as the cracks obviously show through, in all 3 of the monarchtrio relationships. he expresses some guilt over the whole situation, and it would have been really interesting to see what happened after he was found out as the instigator of the morpho shit.

BUT THEN

THEY JUST DON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT

LIKE YOU'D THINK DR. GIRLFRIEND WOULD BE A LITTLE MORE UPSET THAT HER HUSBAND AND ... MANSERVANT JUST WENT OUT AND SLAUGHTERED MOST OF HER COWORKERS ILLEGALLY

But no. She just covers it up, that i understand , and nary a word is shared between them about the season-long arc. (I could write another essay about this too but that's for later). She's fine with it, because she loves the monarch, she's mrs. Wife, she moves on.

Even if the monarch jeopardized her career and possibly her life as well, doing something selfish and illegal that was completely unnecessary.

ANYWAYS this is getting way too long

But then post-s7, after both dr girlfriend and 21 express doubt over their choice in careers, after they're continuously compared as parallels/ foils to each other- they were brought into this bullshit world of larp-bureaucracy and henching and arching, and they love it, but it's starting to stress them out, they both get hard reset back to status quo by the movie. Dr Girlfriend worried about her marriage falling apart? 21 expressing remorse for his actions? Nah. Let's have them both give huge speeches about how great their lives are and how much they love their jobs! Don't even think about the irony of a woman groomed by her college professor to be a perfect trophy wife saying she "chose her station in life". Why even bother setting up all these threads of regret, burnout, remorse, if you're going to have these characters regress back to s2-era mentality?

Then again dr. Gf's arcs were never perfectly written. I just wish they did more with her as a character and her insecurities and regrets too...

This is stupid. But yeah 21 trying to escape from henching and find his own station in life, rebounding every time he tries to leave or quit, eventually ending at "i love my life and job" despite clear plot notes showing otherwise? Perfect analogy to the american nerd/otaku. Brushing off any flaws or worries in favor of being a loyal consumer.

Now, for the Subma and/or Pokémon fans,

As Im sure everyone who has been under the ingo tab for more than 2 seconds today has learned, there's supposedly a leak of pages from the PLA concept art book of the concept art of Ingo with a receding hairline and no eyebrows. If you don't know what Im talking about, here is the picture.

Now, I feel I have to address this first before I move on to my actual problem here. I personally see no problem with Ingo having a receding hairline and no eyebrows. Honestly it's kind of funny. Will I personally be drawing and/or imagining him with a receding hairline? For the most part, probably not, but I support the people who do.

HOWEVER, what I AM pissed about are the people who are saying that this is canonical. You have to remember that this is an art book, and while it is still official concept art, it is just that, CONCEPT art.

CONCEPT 👏 ART 👏 IS 👏 NOT 👏 ALWAYS 👏 CANON!!! 👏

A perfect example of this is Sayu from the game "No Straight Roads" by Metronomik (hi NSR fans, sorry if you're still here and have decided to see the fuck is happening in the pokémon side of tumblr). The lovely crew behind the character designs for the game let us see A LOT of the concept art for these characters, and probably one of the most distinct evolutions of the characters design in the lineup and probably the best example of my case is Sayu, the bubbly mermaid popstar. Some of her earliest concept art shows her even before she was decided to be a mermaid!

Now, is this what sayu looks like? NO! Can you draw her like that or write fanfic about her looking like that? Yes! But JUST BECAUSE ITS AN OFFICIAL CONCEPT DOES NOT MEAN ITS CANON. Early concept art of her even in her mermaid form shows a vastly different design!!!

Later concepts do get a lot closer to what her official design is, but, well... thats how concept art works! The later concepts are going to a lot more closely resemble the final product because its what immediately lead to it!!!

Needless to say, we don't know all the changes Ingo's design went through during concept phases to his official artwork, since Gamefreak only shows us so much in these artbooks, we don't fully know how his design has evolved over time. However, this

Are the official design and model that we got. Meaning his hairline could be fucking across his forhead for all we know. Please, do have fun and enjoy drawing bald Ingo, I look forward to seeing what this does to all the fanfics, headcanons (ha!), and the stories. But please, don't call that shiny head canon, I don't need to burst a blood vessel today. You can call me in denial all you want, but unless we see his hairline in some official artwork like pokemon masters or the anime or something, I will continue to sit on this hill until I too look like I've gone through hell after getting yeeted to the wrong time period.

4. Libraries, botanical gardens, or art galleries?

ok so disclaimer the REAL answer here is museums. no I am absolutely not biased just bc I work in one what do you mean

but as a lesbian I am Required to say botanical gardens. I would like to see a cactus. or a library if they've got a cool exhibition on!! libraries can have some super cool displays & stuff. same w/ art galleries if there's something specific I want to see but I'm not so much of an art person you know

6. What does your dream home look like?

I'd really love to do like. a conversion & extension of an old stone building. like an old barn or croft house or something. nothing too big. visible beams across the ceiling, stone floors in the kitchen, big windows with a view. furniture that's not super modern but also not like, grandmotherly or super cottage-y. but also places to have like, nerdier stuff on display (I really want shelves in the living room to put all my artbooks and stuff...). and a native/low-maintenance garden that sits in the landscape. I'd love to have enough room for a horse but idk if that's feasible and I'd have to spend enough time around them again to feel confident that I knew what I was doing.

10. Do you have a favourite classic novel?

I really don't read as much as I should these days but I have a huge amount of affection for the great gatsby honestly. I studied it in school and had so much fun with it.

I really want to read pride and prejudice, I love the bbc series a lot because of how integral the everyday life of the period is and I've been meaning to get around to the book!

around 8 or 9 yo, i went to the public library with school and discovered the wonderful world of mangas ! I basically… Copy pasted an entire Mermaid Melody tome x) 

For about 2 years i alternated between reading mangas and trying to copy them ! Then i just kept drawing in the margins of my schoolwork for about… 5 years ! I have a Fuck Ton of sketchbooks of that time, it was… The start. Lol. Never say it’s bad because it’s never bad, just not there yet !!

Around my 13 yo, i went every saturday, for two years, under a bookstore ; there was a cave, and drawing classes ; that teacher was mean and harsh and stuff, but like… Not really. He would take away my eraser for the class, force me to use pencil, to draw something else (bulky boys instead of magical girls). 

I’ve learned a lot, more in terms of How To LEARN to draw than to draw itself, but i still progressed a LOT !! 

Then i kept drawing by myself for a year and i really worked hard on it ; about hours a day, trying watercolors and stuff ; i have a real problem with colors in traditionnal art, but i’m much better with lines (i should scan some RAD stuff i made in the weekend, yall ive never done anything this good i stg i dont know why i always forget im so much better on paper) 

This gets us to my sweet 16 ; i have to year of advance, bc i got ‘’’promoted’’’ idk how to say it ; anyways, i entered my (current) animation school for the first year at 16; vERY IMPRESSIVE AND TERRIFYING. 

And i learned. A fuckmegaton. Of shit there. 

Now i’m going for my third year there and i can make photorealistic marmora blades and cyberkpunk decors if i want to and that’s rad, but here is

 HOW TO ACTUALLY FUCKING DRAW : 

I have one HYPER important advice, and i’m keeping it to heart since i’m like, 11 : Have. Sketchbooks. Please !!! It’s very important. Here’s why : 

You keep everything with you in one place. You have 1 sketchbook, it’s basically easy to take every where (a A5, or A4 are pretty easy to carry, i have like, 12 of those, and around 8 of A3) 

You keep track of what you’ve done. It’s super important, bc first you can cry of laughter at your old stuff bc its cute but not so good, and second, you can just be like ‘holy mama’ and see how much you’ve improved

It’s very important to be organized. I WORK in art, and trust me, if there’s something that i’ve learned this year through tears and missing files and bugs : Be. Impeccable. Now if it’s for fun, go a little loose, and just have a folder for art on your computer, and a sketchbook, no need to stress, but the better you try to keep a record of where is what, the better you’ll see whats wrong

Notebooks are friends !! You can draw, write, glue stuff, make notes, lists, everything !!! I have my life in those. It’s more important to me than any of my phones. 

Be proud of it. Like, not everything, duh ! But try to tell yourself than it’s like a RPG ; even if it’s only 2 xp here and there, one day you’ll beat level 40, and that’s super important : art is. Fuckin. Long.

I cant stress it enough. It’s soooo long !!! SO LONG !! it’s years. It’s like karate and fishing and ANYTHING. To be good at it, it takes time, but it WILL COME if you keep trying. There’s no secret passage. 

You’re gonna me it, believe in me who believes in you. 

Use. References. 

Coming from a little shit who’s got a really good visual memory, that can sound like bs, but i stg everything is always AT LEAST twice as good if you’ve used a visual support. 

I’m not saying COPY EVRYTHING (even though thats a good training) I’m saying, if you really want to do that asian tiger, please have at least two or three pictures of it nearby. Take photos of your hands, and stuff ! 

Make it harder. 

No eraser. 

Paint. 

I draw all my backgrounds on my sketchbook with INDIAN INK; no returns, no refunds. 

Ink, Ink, INK !! Don’t allow mistakes.

You’ll improve and be more assured if you know you just have to DO IT. Trust me. It’s VISIBLE; if you can erase, you fidget and hesitate and ‘’kbeujebez hahhaaa idkkidsd’’ ; stop ; do it, and if you don’t like it ? Try again, there’s no time limit

Draw as large as you can 

There’s no interesting story here, it just helps. Bigger movement of the hand, more place for details, breathing lines

Thin lineart helps

Thinner. Make it even thinner

Break the rules, but not the ones that structure your art 

Big lineart ? Why not

Unfinished lines, vaporeous colors ? Pretty

Cubism is actually based on extensive and intense practice of classical art, it’s not wibbly wooblly ; the anatomy is more correct than you think 

Structure and composition are important, but so is movement and life ; choose your fighter ; mine is fluidity and fun, i’m like, a rogue/archer in drawing. Some people are dwarf fighter. That’s amazing and great. 

Don’t be afraid to do nothing

Pages and pages of my sketchbooks are actually just lance facing right and smiling, you know… 

Sometimes it just doesnt work : two ways :

Keep trying, break your art until it obeys and comes back

Take breaks. Breath. 

Don’t compare. I do it, it doesn’t help at all. You’ll make it ; and if you compare, keep in mind that everyone’s different

Actual advices : 

I have an inspiration blog where i just reblogs stuff i like to draw them later

Find a picture, copy it. Do it again. Change the characters (i have 2 ocs and Lance and Keith as default characters) in the pic. 

Like an artstyle ? Break it to its very core, analyse it, copy it, redo it, trace it and ABSORB it. Don’t copy/past, LEARN from your heroes.

Do what you like. I have 86578 pieces of voltron, this is not a coincidence. I have ENDLESS ideas for this show, wtf. 

Try new things. Buy indian ink im begging you. It’s so cool. 

Have a game with yourself, or a challenge. STICK TO IT. 

Study. When you’re bored, usually it’s because you’re stagnating. Make it harder or do hands until you cry. 

Love your backgrounds; make backgrounds, study trees, and tokyo streets, and venice’s bridges. Decor is just as cool as characters, if not more

Mess a little with everything. My roomate more than one found me stained from head to toes trying to DO STUFF 

Draw outfits. Draw what you want but can’t afford 

MAKE YOUR LIFE A COMIC. Remember those sketchbooks ? Make a comic a week/month/every full moon, whatever, and draw your life (mine’s the roomates au lol) 

Prompts blogs are cool too 

Make fanart of a fic you liked ; you have the characters and the pose already, you just have to illustrate ; double bonus, you probably will make a writer’s day, if not year !

That little movie that plays when you listen to your favorite song ? DRAW IT

Your favorite scene in your favorite movie ? Redraw each shot. On post it. Plus it looks awesome afterwards to have the infamous TREX scene of Jurassic Parks in post it

Get bored. That’s inevitable. Dance, scream, get back to it. Walk, draw everything you see. 

Make a paper google map street view : Take a walk : every 50 meters, draw what is in front of you. 

Snapchats your friends. Draw their snapchats when they answer 

Draw maps. Invent places. Invent bikes, and hovercrafts, and monsters. Make your everyday inventory. Make your life a video game, and do the concept arts of it. 

FETCH your inspiration. I have approx. 20 artbooks, full of drawings and concept arts of my fave movies/games ; take what you like and add it to the story you have since you’re 8. We all have one. 

Ask for it ; your sis, your mom, me even ! If you dont have ideas, someone will have them.

for the love of everything GIVE US MORE INFORMnmATION ON GOLDEN CHEESE!!!!!! i was SO looking forward to her coming after hollyberry, BUT NO!!!!! WE GET THE EMO KING INSTEAD DESPITE EVERYTHING HINTING TOWARD QUEEN GOLDEN BADDIE BEING THE NEXT ANCIENT!!!!!!!! i will not forgive. i will not forget.

i really REALLY want to like golden cheese. the problem with that is that we have NO information on her in-game. she just feels so disconnected from the other ancients, especially with the odyssey update. she gets mentioned once and the ancients are like "we cant contact her cause shes out in the middle of the desert :(" as though dark cacao DIDNT come from snowy mountain nowhere to attend the council. you could argue that we didn't have any mention of hb or dc before their debut, either, but honestly?? we had more of them in the game in the form of their descendants. I'm wondering if golden cheese has any family members already released that we don't know about, or if shes just some hermit whos childless.

another thing to mention is that golden cheese will probably be the most interesting ancient story-wise. her kingdom's entry in the artbook is fascinating, as it paints her to be more of a dictator than a queen, which is super unlike the mostly benevolent leaders that we're used to. one little bit of trivia that i really like is that, apparently, the cheesebird denizens have to bow down to a statue of her thrice a day. that's actually hilarious. she also apparently controls EVERYTHING about their lives, quite literally down to their haircuts, as the book says. now, uh, that is very reminiscent of the policies of a certain country that happens to be north of the main devsis offices, so that makes me do just a little bit of thinking.

i dont care what ANYONE ELSE SAYS. POMEGRANATE IS A BOSS ASS BITCH AND I LOVE HER FOR IT. shes a TERRIBLE person and that's why i adore her!!!! the thing about cr is that a lot of the villains feel like comic relief, as is the case with licorice and affogato. but pom???? she takes no shit and dishes out punches without hesitation. shes the most intimidating member of the CoD, current AND past. she is unapologetically TERRIBLE and she manipulates people at the slightest provocation. shes not afraid to get her hands dirty. she will do whatever it takes for her cause.

i wish this fandom could appreciate her like i do. everyone hates her and that's valid, yeah, but have some fun man!!!! enjoy a character whos rotten to the core!!!!!!!

pomegranate is a very interesting case with it comes to the CoD. like, she's the only one who isn't with the group because of manipulation from DE (that we know of?? the vision she saw could've been manufactured by DE for all we know. she is known for creating false visages, as we saw with the echo of white lily. that's a whole other can of worms though). like, dark chocos there because he believes its the only choice he has. licorice is there because nobody else showed him the appreciation he desired. lobster is there because she promised him she'd restore the city. there's a bunch of children there who literally don't know any better. pomegranate, though???? shes there for that villainussy. she sees one vision and figures that yep, that's her destiny, no turning back, and then commits fully to it. she hasn't lost anything. she doesn't desire anything. the only thing driving her is her resignation to her own fate and her adoration of her leader. godddd what a girlboss. i only want the worst for her <3

i guess what im saying here is that there HAS to be something that runs deeper than we can see here. there's something about her that i feel like we haven't learned yet. she goes against the grain so much when it comes to the other members of the CoD, because everyone else has clear redemption arcs laid out for them. her, though?? i don't know what could be in store for her. the fact that shes so unpredictable excites me and makes me want to see where the story will whisk her to next.

I finished to prepare my books to present for class and like... I have maybe overdone it... I’m proposing 120 works..... Because I wanted to show different techniques and different kind of works (since I have a lot of bodies, I wanted also to add all the perspectives, objects and animals I drew)

Also: I have a LOT of Kurapika art in my artbooks..... I have a fanart of Leorio and Kurapika dancing in my artbook... I have about 4 arts of Aerith and Tifa flirting and I’m p sure that if the first time you can think “gals being pals” seeing so many of them will Be Gay. 

And I have some body horrors here and there (mostly the clown I did a while back, and the Kurapika watercolor with the heart and eyes in the background) or creepy imagery in general (puppet!cloud watercolor)  and among all of that? I have one character as a Stripper because of a private joke with a friend, but since I managed the anatomy ......

(Fear not tho I don’t have ONLY fanarts in my artbooks. More than half of my works are not fanarts so im good)
