I've been in such a weird nostalgia mood lately. not even for fansongs specifically and stuff, but I just miss when things were kinda goofy. I used to write shitty self-insert fanfiction and post stupid screenshots of my shimeji collection on Deviantart. I made MMD videos. I recorded a really shitty cover of Bad Apple and then immediately deleted it because I didn't know what breath control was and thought I had asthma for some reason. The confidence with which I posted pure, unfiltered weirdness was unparalleled. I found four chapters of one of my OC stories from 2016 a few weeks back that I thought I had lost forever. I used to keep binders full of coded fanfiction in a language I completely made up. I need to go back

FTL: FTLR-3 has taken the form of the cyan lizard that was its host. It remains immobile, but the form it has taken is clearly that of a cyan lizard. One especially similar to the one from which it originated from. I've described my hypothesis as to why it would do such a thing in Log 216, but to summarise, it's for the sake of efficiency. Efficiency of movement, efficiency of existence. It's taking the best of all three sub-types of Rot and combining it.

FTL: I fear that this new form may grant FTLR-3 a much extended range of movement that, especially when combined with its apparent ability to learn, could result in it breaking out of the containment chamber. If all goes well, this will not be the case. I will carry on in my attempts at creating a potent corrosive substance, just in case LIFEGIVER's treatment does not arrive on time.

FTL: As for updates on the progress of my attempts to create such a substance, there aren't many. The progress has been lacking and it all is strikingly reminiscent of my attempts to create organisms without a foundation. I do believe that I am on edge of something, though. I cannot tell you what, only that it will aid me in my quest.

FTL: The time after FTLR-3 is eradicated is eagerly awaited. I cannot allow myself to get distracted from this process at this time, but the thoughts of experiments I could be doing now are alluring to me. For example, Eternal Anomaly (as our conversation has unfortunately not yet ceased) mentioned a slugcat-poleplant hybrid.

FTL: Creating a hybrid with a poleplant is indeed a curious idea. One that I wish I could afford the time to explore at this moment. Perhaps not with a slugcat, that seems to defeat the purpose. Slugcats are insanely adaptable creatures, they can withstand just about any modifications. Though a slugcat-poleplant hybrid would have its benefits, my interest lies in the reactivity of the poleplants leaves. What if a poleplant's genetics that pertain to them were implanted into say, a lizard? Forgive me for the amount of experiments that lizards have been the main subject of.

FTL: The 'leaves' could function as a warning system, though perhaps it wouldn't be that much of an effective one. Append them onto the tail though, and they could perhaps warn the lizard of any vibrations in the ground. The red colouring the lizard would be sure to inherit from the poleplants would also serve as a deterrent to predators, invoking the image of a typical red lizard. It could also potentially employ the poleplant's typical hunting method of ambush. Though it would lack the ability to blend in.

FTL: Perhaps if the lizard that would be modified were a white lizard... its camouflage abilities, if combined with the reactiveness of the poleplant. Truly could make a capable predator, armed with many ways to protect itself from any that may threaten it. Its red leaves would make it stand out, even when camouflaged, but everything needs a weakness, no?

FTL: I'll have to put this idea on hold. After this whole fiasco is over, this will be the project I pick up. Just another incentive to get this over with as quickly as possible. I tire of researching FTLR-3, it has too much urgency to it. But I shall carry on doing so, as though my interest grows weaker as my attention attempts to drift elsewhere, I remain curious about its nature.

Hii! Okay so I've been going through your blog and just seeing a lot of regulus hate and I just wanna ask why? Like, even in the books he only gets 1-2 sentences even mentioning him, and the fandom has simply built the character around it. I can see not liking a ship, but making fun of others for liking it does criss a few lines. Anywho, just curious and I mean no hate towards you.

honestly i have a few reasons and here they are:

1. the regulus fanon characterization just gets on my nerves because they make him a sad pathetic wet cat who’s so pure and innocent and poor baby who drowned for a good cause when really, he got the fucking dark mark when not even his parents did. he wasn’t “forced into” being a death eater. if he got a dark mark, that means he was either a coward or he actively agreed with voldemort which makes him a blood supremacist. im not saying you’re not allowed to like who you like, but i just personally don’t get the hype of literal death eaters. and yes he could have nuance to him but in the fandom, the “nuance” is just a guise to strip the only thing we know about him away. he can be complex while still being a disgusting human being but nobody does that.

2. when people don’t make him a sad wet cat, they just give him sirius’ personality. like that’s so stupid to me? sirius is right there? he’s clearly the better character in all regards and yet people are so willing to throw him away in place of regulus. why? because they can’t stand when the oldest sibling is right in any capacity? idk it just pisses me off.

3. honestly the main reason why i hate regulus is because of jegulus. i’ve never met a sane jegulus shipper and the fandom has been utterly infected with it. like ship whatever you want but i just think it’s so annoying how the shippers act like it’s the best ship ever. james is my favorite character and it just mystifies me how people strip away his most prominent traits (his loyalty to the order and his loyalty to sirius) by having him date his best friends younger death eater brother. it feels like it’s just for the sake of the tropes which i personally despise. i think prongsfoot is just a much better ship with similar tropes, and no erasing the most important part of james’ personality. honestly it just feels like a copy paste edgy sad abused oc x james potter which is fine i guess except that even when i have the tag blocked it’s fucking EVERYWHERE. and also jegulus shippers refuse to leave jily and prongsfoot shippers alone and i happen to be both.

4. i hate timothee chalamet 😭

Pixel Blue: 3DS VIRTUAL CONSOLE (2016) by @calybunz ! ahhh this was such a cool one to read! id see updates on it incidentally n i can tell a lot of work went into it- it was definitely worth it! its well written with a lot of heart.. maybe im just a sucker for stories that focus on a sympathetic blue.. the ending made me so SAD dude what the fuck. though my favorite parts were probably the dream sequences- godd the imagery of it all was fantastic!

Lay Down for the rest of the night after reading it and just feel whatever emotions struck me. it cut really deep but honestly- that's just fantastic. it's not often that i read something that makes me feel as viscerally as this rewrite did, and i have nothing but adoration for it because of that (we do have the plural bias which doesnt help regarding this lol). in my mind this is the definitive version of glitchy red.

basic lore: when you die, you go to neither heaven nor hell (aha. aha) but to a universe you're assigned to! each universe has a spectrum of heaven to hell, and dependjng on how bad you were in life the universe you go to can be on either end or closer to one end. neutral universes are just like earth! also, you get a unique power when you die that's given to you by the divine court, aka thr ppl who judge you to sort you into a universe. the one in my ask blog and the one used for the show most is rosemary reincarnates! setra rules over this one(1 ruler per universe to keep it in check) and this is a neutral universe of the Original 10. the original 10 are the first 10 universes created by charity, who's somewhat a demigoddess since she's been immortal since the 1500s!!! first five of the original ten range from heaven-neutral, 6-10 are on the spectrum heading to hell :<

Alright, now for lore drop for her ig!

Burger was a 16-17 year old attending Black Sheep high school, (think thats the high schools canon name-) one day she was found dead, she then went to heaven, not to long after became a fallen angel and was sent down to hell (idk if fallen angels exist- i need to ask Erica but i know shes busy but i really wanna ask in her message box in her blog 😭.) Then you know got a job to haunt people to get people down there so when hell is fully renovated it can go as one would expect.

Very basic very simple, but thats not really detailed, heres ghe detailed version bellow here instead of the basic structure: (Warning mentions of abuse, violent acts, and underage drinking)

Burger grew up in a not so stable household to say, parents were restricting, abusive, unfair, all the bad lables for crappy parents who basically to say failed at their job as a parent. So she mainly grew alone in her room learning guitar (base), and how to cook for herself and bake. She joined a band thats known around school for being cheap and decent. She also had a crush on a former band mate named Hidey. Since their band is known they have some form of social reputation around there, say in the middle of the social status of the school reputation system. One faithful day they got a commission to play at Zacks GFs party (im gonna assume he has one since hes a jock) for a few hours, they accepted. When Burger got home that day she went to go head out but then had a argument with her dad and got her guitar smashed. She ran out the house mad asf and used a near by phone booth to call her friend to get a spare guitar for her, they get the guitar and hwad to the party. They perform a few songs, everyone's happy, they get offered to stay so thru do so they dont seem rude. As Burger partied, Zacks GF dragged her to her room to speak privately, they get in the room, have a few drinks of wine after raiding the liquor cabinet a while back in the party, Zacks GF started to act a little of and before burger could say anything abt it, she gets pinned down onto the bed and gets her head slashed off. Turns out, Zacks GF had red punch looking similar to wine while she had wine,and also turns out Zacks GF hated her guts for one reason. A middle school crush on Zack. The most stupidest reason to have a grudge or kill someone over. So then she got to heaven and got a job as a guardian angel, sucked at that not even showing up to her job and instead did sinful like acts in heaven without knowing and got sent to hell becoming a fallen angel and getting a job to haunt a girl named Maria (which my friends OC) and drive her to suicide.

SO MUCH WORD OMG! But thats the detailish version of it! Maria is my friends OC like i said, she told me i could put her in so yeah. Also they dont have the best bond, simialr to socks and jons but instead of one being a joyful teasing demon, burger is a sarcastic ass, and Maria is a depressed teenager that annoyed by her demon. So basically Jonathan and Jonathan. They have some sentimental moments (AND GAY ASS MOMENTS) where they get a little connection to each other. Burgers has 2 canon connections to 2 canon characters, one with jon which is just rivals and same with sock. She basically hates their guts and constantly tries to persuaded Maria to mess with jon but failes horribly. Essentially shes a mix of Jon, Jojo, and sock in th slightest ways with the simialr characteristics/traits and the general way of acting.
