"i’m alisa. i was kuroo’s partner for his project."

you freeze. this is her. the girl from the date. your heart sinks as you picture them together, imagining all the worst possibilities.

did he leave his phone? why was she the one who picked up the call? is he still there? your mind begins to spiral, creating scenarios you can't control, each more painful than the last.

"oh," you manage to say, struggling to keep your voice steady. your throat feels tight, and your words come out slower than usual. "can i ask for kuroo?"

"uh, actually, kuroo left his phone here with me," she replies, "it’s a good thing you called - i couldn't open his phone on my own because it's password protected. i was thinking how to get it back to him. im at my place right now."

her place. your thoughts race, filling in the blanks with every worst-case scenario.

what does this mean? what the hell is happening? and what happened before this? and how could kuroo possibly accidentally leave his phone with her? the more you think about it, the harder it becomes to breathe.

"i can let his friends know," you force out, the words feeling heavy on your tongue. "they can come get it from you."

alisa agrees without hesitation, without ending the call, you quickly message the others, your fingers trembling slightly as you type.

after alisa says yes to the arrangement, you both settle to the conclusion that she'll call you back when she's arrived at the campus lobby where bo would be meeting her.

you sit in silence after the call ends, staring at your phone, thoughts swirling in your head. the quiet of your room seems louder now, every second stretching longer than it should.

where is kuroo right now? since she picked up the call at her place, was kuroo there before he left his phone? if they did, what did they do? does this mean he was that interested in her?

you try to shake off the uneasy thoughts, but they linger. you tell yourself not to jump to conclusions, but that’s easier said than done. your mind can’t help but imagine things of what might’ve happened after their date. it’s a battle between rationality and your emotions, and right now, the latter is winning.

then, your phone vibrates, pulling you out of your spiraling thoughts. kuroo's name appear on the caller id, and you assume it's alisa calling back, just as she promised.

“hello?” you answer, your voice a bit shaky but still composed.

“hey, i’m in the campus lobby,” alisa says. “bokuto isn’t here yet, but i’m sure he’ll be along soon.”

“thanks for letting me know.”

the silence stretches for a moment. it feels awkward, hanging between the two of you, and you can’t help but feel like you should say something - anything - to fill the void.

you fidget with your fingers, unsure of what to talk about. after all, you barely know this girl, and under any other circumstances, you wouldn’t be having this conversation at all.

alisa breaks the silence first. “so... are you and kuroo close?”

her question catches you off guard. “uh, yeah, i guess you could say that. we’ve known each other for a while.”

“that’s nice!" alisa replies, her tone friendly. “he’s been super focused on this project. it’s kept him really busy, huh?”

you nod again, though the weight of her words makes your chest feel tight. “yeah, he’s been juggling a lot.”

the conversation stalls again, leaving you with your thoughts. you’ve known kuroo’s been busy, but hearing it from her, someone who's been spending that time with him, feels like a punch in the gut. you hesitate before asking, “where is he, by the way?”

“oh, he didn’t say,” alisa responds casually. “he just told me he had to go and left. i noticed his phone when he was gone already, and i was going to chase after him but it was too late...”

you thought nothing suspicious about her answer, but nothing that assured you that nothing happened between them. the quiet between you both stretches again, heavy and uncomfortable, and you find yourself scrambling for something else - anything - to fill the silence.

“how’s the project been for you guys?” you ask, trying to make small talk.

“oh, it went really well!” she says brightly. “we worked hard, but it all paid off. i think kuroo was really happy with how it turned out.”

you try to smile at her words, but your curiosity is eating away at you. you feel the urge to ask more, even though a part of you is scared of what the answers might be.

your thoughts drift back to earlier, to the idea of them spending time together after their date, and your stomach knots with unease. but you have to know, even if the answer hurts.

desperate to distract yourself from the silence and your spiraling thoughts, you finally blurt out, “so... did you guys have a good time?”

it feels like a casual question, but the weight behind it is unmistakable to you.

alisa chuckles softly, "oh, it was nice. he’s really sweet, isn’t he?"

you force a smile, even though she can’t see it. the words feel like a punch to the gut, as if someone else is confirming how amazing kuroo is. "yeah, he is."

there’s a brief pause, and the silence returns uncomfortably. your mind is racing as you struggle to keep the conversation going.

"i’m glad you were with him while he was so busy. as i said earlier, he seems to take on a lot by himself." you say, trying to fill the void, but the words come out weaker than you intended.

"he really does," alisa agrees, her voice light, as if she’s completely unaware of the storm raging inside you. "we ended up spending a lot of time together because of it. it’s been fun. and he really knows how to make you feel at ease, doesn’t he?"

the words twist in your gut, and you have to bite your lip to keep from letting out a sound of distress. you know exactly what she means. you’ve felt it too; the way kuroo can make you feel seen and heard.

and now, to hear someone else describe it, to know that she experienced it too, feels like a betrayal, even though you know it’s not.

"yeah," you manage to say. "he’s always been good at that."

the conversation drags on, each passing moment feeling like a slow unraveling of everything you thought you knew. your heart sinks deeper, weighed down by the uncertainty, the fear that maybe you’re too late. the realization that someone else has shared in those moments with him, that she knows things about him you might never know, is almost too much to bear.

"i’m happy you guys enjoyed your date," you say, trying to sound normal, but there’s a slight tremor in your voice.

alisa laughs again, this time with more amusement. "he told you it was a date too, huh?"

you blink, caught off guard by her response. "wasn’t it?"

"no, not really," alisa explains, her tone light as if it’s no big deal. "i just asked him out to coffee because of the success of our project, nothing more. he thought it was a date until he thanked me and mentioned it. so i cleared things up."

you don’t know what to say, the relief washing over you in waves, but mingling with confusion. before you can ask what happened after, alisa interrupts.

"oh, bokuto’s here," she says, her tone signaling the end of the conversation. "i’ll give him the phone. thanks a lot,"

"okay," you reply, still dazed, your mind racing with all the things you didn’t get to say or ask. bo takes the phone and tells you everything’s good, but his words barely register. you nod, barely listening, too caught up in your own thoughts.

you’re left with a thousand questions, but no answers. you want to know more, to ask her what happened next, but you guess you won’t get to know anymore.

did they talk about you? was kuroo relieved when she clarified it wasn’t a date, or was he disappointed? the uncertainty gnaws at you, leaving you with nothing but doubts.

all of a sudden, there’s a knock on your bedroom door. your heart jumps into your throat. you hesitate, then get up to answer it. you bid bo goodbye on the other line and end the call as you approach closer.

maybe it was one of your roommates checking up on your or asking for an update about what has happened. you wondered who it might be as you opened the door.

and there he was.

kuroo, breathless and panting, his hair slightly disheveled as if he ran the whole way. his eyes lock onto yours, wide with urgency.

"kuroo," you begin, confused. "what are you doing-"

"i want you, y/n."

I am stuck... too many ideas

Hello, dearest readers.

I am stuck because my ideas for my stories (and new ones) are running around like a herd of cats on cat nip in my head.

Like, I know American Mate got two chapters in the update and to keep the same order it should be next to get another chapter.

However

Incomplete, Breaking and Entering, plus Reciprocal Synergy have only gotten a one-chapter update.

Technically, they are "behind" a chapter update.

Then there are the factors:

 AM tends never to be shorter than 7k per chapter now

Incomplete is just taking off

B&E has two different POVs I want to write from, but which is next (was anyone surprised by Erik's POV)

RS is next chapter is going to be fun but challenging to write, I think

Oi! What to do, where to go, what to write?

Should I gawi-bawi-bo or maybe set up an order (AM-I-B&E-RS) and stick to it no matter how long the chapters take to write?

Oh and I’m labelled as queer, I guess, but dude sexuality is confusing. I’ve recently been going down the aromantic / asexual spiral of questioning but I’m so unsure of everything I really suck at telling the difference between platonic and romantic feelings. I’m also somewhere in the sapphic spectrum I believe. So if you can relate to this mindfuck in any way that would also be rad.

I write fan fic for the Marauders Fandom (sirius is my everything and I’m also a tall sirius truther) and also Stranger Things but primarily Steddie for that tbh.

My favorite colour is green but more so earthy and cool greens. I love a good scrumptious yummy green, something mossy something sagey. I have a green wall in my room and it’s very nice to look at.

I lived abroad for a little bit as a teen in Vietnam which was amazing and I’m planning to move somewhere abroad again next year hopefully (seriously get me the hell out of SA)

My biggest dream / goal / career choice for most of my life was to be an actor but now I’m just kinda existing with no real drive or purpose in life. But I might pick acting back up now I’m becoming more comfy with myself and my gender :) my dream role is to play Frank from Rocky.

Man.... This is like asking why I love soup.  Ok, I'm not sure if I can stay coherent but I'll try, 

Ive been reading detco on and off since I was a was a wee child and even back then he was already one of my favorites because I like mystery, and he was the definition of that. 

And this way before the revelation that he was a good guy too. There was this moment of 'yeah, okay, this is it, he's the one (that im not gonna be normal about)'. Specifically, I fell in love in that one scene where he met ran on a snowy night, something about that scene was just so striking, especially something about him that, despite how intimidating he sounded or looked, didn't set off any alarms in Ran, that was the point where I knew there's more to this character, and that I love him. 

On another lighter note. I like his shinigami aesthetic, his one liner and lack of facial expression, I like his lonewolf tendency, how weirdly dependable he is and yet, he's not, in any way shape or form, charming. 

Like that time where he confronted Gin for the first time, he could've told Jodie and Conan that he had a plan to elude the BO but he didn't, he acted alone, he's extremely slow to trust but when he does, he pledge to them his true loyalty. I mean, Conan was just a child in his eyes (even though now he knows him as Shinichi), and yet since he decided to trust him, he never dismissed his words or treat him like a liability despite his 'age'. 

When he trust people, he cherished them in his own ways, and that's what I find commendable. 

He's ANNOYING. An asshole 75% of the time, we never got more backstory about him and Akemi because I refuse to believe this man with the personality as hard to love as the taste of blue cheese could land not 1 but 2 amazing ladies like cmon now. I hate how he treated Jodie but I have no doubt he would take a bullet for her if need be, I guess that’s why Jodie still likes him too to a degree but he didnt deserve her tbh (<- says the girl who will still reblog redstarling fanart whenever it crosses my dash). 

The same can be applied to his ‘rivalry’ with Rei, it doesn't matter what his true reason was, he decided that night, when he was holding the bleeding gun of a man he failed to save, he would keep the truth away from Rei and he stick by that decision till now, Rei did everything in his power to literally hunt him down over a misunderstanding and he didn't care, come hell and high waters and he will still keep Rei away from the truth because that's what he decided to do and he keeps his promises, especially ones made to himself. 

I suppose I like him because outside of 'work', while he keeps people on a distance, you don't have to second guess on where you stand, there's a sort of ease in that. 

As the story progresses, we get to see reasons as to why he ended up this way and that was pretty entertaining, seeing how affectionate he can be to his siblings and what happened in his past to make him go the extreme lengths of being an agent to another country and infiltrating a deadly organization etc, it fleshes him out, it makes me excited to see where he'll end up next.

AGGGHHHH ok i would make chanjeong royalty for one kingdom, and lia for another. chanjeong just has that “im sneaking out of the castle at night to go meet up with my ragtag friends so my older brother, the crown prince (alternatively, king), doesn’t know what im doing” vibe, and lia has that charming “i go to all the foreign meetings to sweet talk the ministers and governors” energy. lots of potential there

minho — i just can’t get the image of him running a bakery out of my mind. idk like while jeongin goes to hang out with his friends, minho is there as a pseudo-chan to make sure he doesn’t get into too much trouble. probably waves those long-stemmed wooden spoons around when he talks

changbin — traveler of goods! merchant. “UNCLE’S IN TOWN” type of guy, loves seeing the sights

hyunjin — castle guard and that’s totally not biased to the fact that i have an abandoned wip where he is exactly that. very stoic, never talks, crazy talented with weapons tho

jisung — fa…farm bo…boy. kind of like in velvet, actually, yeah, EXACTLY like velvet

felix — older brother figure that everyone in the orphanage looks up to. makes a little extra bag by working at minho’s bakery

seungmin — town librarian (or librarian assistant) for suurreeee. kind of prickly but has a soft spot for jeongin, they have a love-hate but the hate is just a joke relationship

yeji — duke’s daughter. she knows hyunjin, and privately, likes to spar with him

ryujin — i considered her for a royalty role too for (jazz hands) juxtaposition between personality and position, but maybe next time. probably in the orphanage too w lix? bad cop good cop dynamic

chaer — dancer for fun! performs at all the town festivals, huge social personality, hems and sews and gets to chat with the girls all the time

yuna — i can’t characterize her well bc i don’t watch any itzy content but. probably works at minho’s bakery too. cashier/sells at the markets for them? maybe his sister. by blood or pseudo, nobody is too sure bc minho just keeps to himself about that kind of stuff

My next days were spent looking for a new place to call home.I went as far away from the demons as i could but when i had nowhere to hide i decidet to go to the hallelujah mountains.That was the only place the demons could not go to.Even if they did have flying things the ikrans that live there would kill them in a second.It did not take me long to get there as i was riding Antai.The closer we got there the more strange Antai started to act.He might be the biggest predator on the ground but in the sky he was not even close to being the biggest predator and he knew that.I did have to leave him on the ground in the forest.One of the reasons being that he could not climbe.I could tell he did not want me to go anywhere alone as he was making silent growls.But if i wanted to find a safe place i had to go there, i would find a way to get him there i just had to see what the mountains looked like.Climbing trees was nothing compared to this.I was scared for my life.I could even see some ikrans fly around me a little bit away from me but still pretty close.When i finaly got on the top i was breathless.It was so pretty up there,I could see everything .I walked around for some time looking around me taking in the beauty until i heard some voices.

-Bro come on dad will skin us if we dont get back on time.

IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER!! there's still a couple episodes left, and good storytelling pays well attention to pacing. its not the end quite yet

This season is so thematically incoherent and im astonished by the lack of direction. Is it fun to watch Din and Grogu having pockets of cute moments? Yes. But theres no driving force every season had a clear driving force established. Season 1 was keeping Grogu out of the hands of the Imperials and bonding from it, season 2 was finding the Jedi and the mystery of introducing Boba Fetts armour and it connected together seamlessly.

This season felt like episode 1 established it well. Episode 2 was mostly great save for certain elements that are becoming a bigger problem now. Episode 3 was a mixed bag of varying opinions but we mostly can agree Dins parts were emotionally unsatisfying.

And episode 4 is just....who is the protagonist? What is the driving force? Who is the antagonist? By episode 4 of season 1 Din had turned Grogu in, rescued him gone on the run and was trying to find places and people he could trust. It feels like episode 1 didn't even happen because literally nothing in it has paid off or even brought up again.

Din feels like a side character and I can't help but wonder if its beacuse they are trying to establish grounds for Bo Katans show. Beacuse she feels completely distracting from Din, and it makes no sense

Boba Fett was perfectly included in season 2 and you believed this interesting bond of two outcasts finding companionship and trust for a common goal. And it didn't feel distracting Boba Fett was still a side character not a co main character.

I just...I do not understand this seasons direction at all every episode feels disconnected and there is literally no hint at what the seasona story arc even is 4 episodes in.

I understand where you're coming from and I'm sorry this season is making you feel this way. I totally get what you're saying, specially cause I re-watched the first 5 episodes of Season 2 over the weekend and it felt more chronological in a way, like you could see every episode was a stepping stone to the next.

What I think is the problem with this season is that they started with the premise of Din's redemption but now that's done and we don't have a clue of what's next (something i think it's the season's intention) and obviously Din doesn't know what's next either. But we don't have a villain yet, we don't have that high stakes thing that we're working towards whether it's Gideon wanting Grogu again or him going after other mandalorians and that's why these last episodes feels like a filler but I believe with the next ones it'll all fall into place.

They could have given us the villain after Din's redemption, like a clear villain, not a hint like Pershing's lil side story from last week, that way we know something's coming. That's just my way of seeing all this, and my hopefulness talking ahahah the actors hyped up this season a lot, so we could be having a calm-before-the-storm kind of moment in this episode before they tie all the loose ends. I do agree about the Bo-Katan thing tho, and I think this is how people felt with TBOBF, cause she's taken a bit of a protagonist role and good for her but not for me because ultimately it's Din and Grogu's show and I was hoping more of an emphasis on them both (especially Din in his self-discovery journey) this season. But we'll see with the next chapters!

Its AEW Revolution 2023 live the Chase Centre in San Francisco,California

The match on the Zero Hour is Mark Briscoe and Lucha Bros vs Tony Nese,Ari Davari and Josh Woods. My 1st look at Josh here,a hot crowd and you saw both teams looking good here with frequent in and out tags. Josh takes control then tags in Ari. Josh back in and Penta fights back,Rey Fenix in but Josh hits a brain buster. Action took to the outside,back in and up to the top rope. Lucha Bros hit a tag team move then Mark hits an elbow from the top for the dub.

1st match on the main show is Chris Jericho vs Ricky Starks. The website im watching it on went off so i missed the beginning when i got it on Jericho had Ricky on the outside. Back in and both men go at it fighting back and forth. They go to the top rope where Ricky takes advantage they continue to fight. Trading blows and kicks,Jericho gets Ricky in the Lion tamer but he fought out. Here comes Sammy Guevara but gets taken out by Action Andretti .Ro Sham Bo from Ricky Starks for the victory.

Next up Christian Cage vs Jungle Boy Jack Perry in a Final Burial match. Jack takes over and beats down Christian. The outside is spilled out into thr crowd then back in where Christian has taken over. Jungle Boy into it again slamming Christians head into the steel steps on the outside,Christian now with a belt to Jack. Up the stage to where the casket is,Christian takes out chairs from it to use against Jack,he slams him on the stage goes for the Killswitch on a chair but Jack pushes him off the stage and leaps onto him. Back on the stage,a low blow from Christian gives him the advantage hes back in it now,he uses a spade but to no avail as Jack chokes him out followed by a con-chair-to and then put him in the casket and closed it for the win.

On for the next one The Elite vs House Of Black for the trios tag team titles. This was a good match,lots of action,lots of pin fall attempts,lots of hard hitting and high flying action galore. Both teams looked great here. Very psychical and very fast paced action. Kicks and hits coming out of nowhere. The action is rolling,both teams coming close to putting it away,super kicks and V triggers given out. Back and forth we go, move after move until House Of Black take the final pin and take home the titles.
