IN GENERAL i think they mostly view hymn as "that weird freaky homeless guy who peddles colors and shit outback", hy's not very friendly w any of them (hy doesn't want to be, hy thinks nevada central fucking sucks & is Only there bc phobos is gonna Fucking Get hys ass if hy dont get them boon tokens. arena mode is around when hy started getting really bitter & unfriendly from the stress of hys work & dissonance i think)

player- THIS IS DEPENDANT ON MY OCS SO SORRY ABT THAT i don't really have an idea of The Player outside of my player ocs <//3 gridlock (experiment origin) thinks hys hilarious & likes treating hymn like a ratty little chihuahua, poking & teasing hymn thru the fence and knowing damn well hy can't retaliate bc hy's terrified of her. shitforbrains (agent) [yes that is really their name] would probably be mildly afraid of hymn at best, avoid interacting & talking as much as possible, they're a very meek n passive person outside of their Cool Guy Persona & they don't like instigating stuff if they can help it

qbert- mild annoyance at best. q-by's got better things to worry abt

bossman- lowkey kind of worried abt hymn bc he knows what its like to be homeless and hys really giving off homeless vibes in hys State (living out of a van, in the same jacket + work clothes perpetually). mostly on-duty trying to keep hymn from rummaging around their dumpsters or slipping in through the back and stealing shit from the building, occasionally tries to make conversation or inquire abt where hys from but it pretty much always dead-ends w/ hymn mistaking his kindness for forced pity & getting defensive.

skinner- fellow doctor! skinner might be the only annex fella hy can actually stand to make conversation with, though i imagine their paths wouldn't cross very often at all. idt skinner wld appreciate hys abrasiveness toward their colleagues tho :[

chef pava- similarly to qbes, mostly just vague annoyance. pava however is not afraid to outright threaten hymn into buzzing off if need be, and hy's quite aware of that, so they steer clear of eachother

chopper dave- [dave voice] I DONT KNOW....THATS SCARY! dave doesn't fw little gay weirdos that sell colors and rob banks. he gives hymn a WIDE berth bc he's (rightfully) afraid of getting bitten

doc- kind of an extremely one sided rivalry. cpot NEEDS to be the best at enmeshment tech & doc is hogging all the fucking goods, but doc has bigger things to worry about and Is Not Fond Of the nexus core anyways (or honestly anything cpot does. im sure he's Aware of the track record hys career has)

obviously its dirgeposting time. in part cuz i dont have the energy today to unearth anyone else from my brain!

I am the WORST person to describe aesthetics because Im not a very visual person (im MUCH more literary) but if im going to try id say hes basically like if a rogue was a caster (which is also coincidentally what I do for all my warlocks lmao). He tends to gravitate towards high collars into open v necklines, that rogue penchant for sensible-but-form-hugging leathers but the caster influence takes those sharp leather jackets+armor and pushes it into a longer coat with a sharply tailored waist, and a sensibly fantastical amount of belts+storage. leg pouches elevate most any fantasy armor design ESPECIALLY for casters, theyre like garters to me. color scheme wise his is blue and black, tho i play around with accent colors like metallics. its really just entirely vibes

personality wise i tend to describe him as a very simple person with fun complicated reactions. hes stuck with a loaded backstory full of trauma, when he only has like strong opinions about three things MAX when not in a Plot™️. his habits and physical behaviors are loosely inspired by the weird shit wolves do when they like you, hes a weird little freak who barely shys away from Dark Urgin On Main, and if your trying to predict what he'll do using his various miscellaneous likes and dislikes, you only really have to think about three things: will he get to kill people? will someone hes close to have a strong opinion about this situation? does he actually have to engage with another person in a meaningful fashion or can he sit there and think about minthara covered in gore on ketherics throne and then give you a thumbs up to leave the interaction? this is literally the criteria i use when picking his dialogue options. hes very good at appearing complicated but the inner machinations of his mind are a gore powered fuck machine with very consistent reactions. makes answering stuff like this a BREEZE

if i had to pick a FAVORITE thing about dirge, its how blatantly weird he is, constantly. he was ironically better at passing for a normie BEFORE the lobotomy, despite being MORE fucked up. he rarely even tries to be Totally Normal, and while the weirdness is a sliding scale based on how likely it is to cause problems, he IS of the opinion that everyone hes with regularly will just kinda have to get used to it. so hes just saying odd shit, off the cuff, to everyone, constantly, and isnt invested even a little in hiding the cannibalism. its so fuckin great i adore it

fun fact! i only figured out pre lobotomy dirge and act 3 dirge were having symptoms of specifically OCD when i had a bad OCD spiral myself and ended up going through similar thought loops. up until then i was looking at his reactions to stress and trauma and considering any number of other anxiety disorders (with OCs i tend to let them breathe and react first, and diagnose retroactively). and then i remembered OCD can cause psychosis symptoms and ive literally had hallucinations because of it LMAOO. making some weird freaky little guy and thinking to myself "theres no fuckin WAY ive projected somethin onto THIS GUY" and then he has the same Vague Undefined Shrimp Color Crazy ive nebulously experienced for two decades before someone sat my ass down with a diagnosis like oh GODDAMMIT

I like to think Dive can be used as a teleport type move since it can be used on land so its like the user turns their body into water and travels through the ground in liquid form. Goopy Pokies like Muk can also do this but just regularly since their bodies are just liquidy naturally (Candyman uses this to sneak around).

Deoxys likes watching things play out so he wasnt going to help unless it was absolutely necessary to not lose his assets like when Vector attacked. (Geller is a glass cannon anytime hes in a fight hes gonna get shattered if his attacks dont KO quickly, luckily hes got backup(well he was technically the back up))

ok i watched rwrb and was live-blogging it for bl archiving purposes:

this was a BEAUTIFUL movie. everything from the colors to the camera angles to the set design was marvelous.

the acting was amazing from both leads but my god. taylor zakhar perez. SIR. still gathering my thoughts over how much this man ruined my life.

I loved the latinx and texan culture they infused all throughout, especially the music 

also that the movie preserved the original book's horniness. particularly after the whole heartstopper purity bullshit i think we needed a few gratuitous shots of taylor zakhar perez getting dicked down thank you very much.

the cringe moments were not as bad as i expected. they were mostly the same moments i cringed over reading the book so i appreciated they didn't add to the cringe volume :)

all in all, an okay movie. i didn't go in with high expectations because i didn't love the book, but i liked to see the amount of effort put into making it all very gay. on the whole the plight of the very special prince boy remains supremely unrelatable to me even when it's undercut with the narrative of queerness and acceptance, but i still have hopes this movie ushers in more big budget queer stories that are not about idk. the most privileged people on planet earth. but we might be waiting a while folks ! (at least on this side of the globe)

... ok im genuinely surprised that so many people are sort of giving up on will and mike getting together when ive never been this confident about a ship??? ever???

if im wrong ill take the L but Cmon Now :

• the show recap purposefully shows the mike and will scenes, putting an emphasis on their dynamic instead of the mike and el scenes

• last season el and mike were going thru it but in the end, el tells him that she loves him and he stood there sort of slack jawed and stunned and couldnt say the words back even then within that scene

• which brings us to the beginning of s4 where mike still cant say ily to el even through the letters and correspondances hes had with her, either a) cuz hes going thru some insecurity about his feelings and the show is building up to a big romantic gesture or b) because hes internally struggling and a part of him knows if he said 'ily' back to el in a romantic context, it wouldnt be true

• meanwhile will is very blatantly pining what with The very pointed slow romantic tune that plays whenever he gazes at mike for a bit too long, and he evidently has a painting for mike and im guessing its contents will be revealed in volume 2 next month

• as for the way mike is treating will, giving him a bit of the cold shoulder at first, the awkwardness and avoiding his gaze, it could be because he feels guilty and weird about how he left things tense between him and his bestie, but then again mikes attitude feels like hes going thru it with el and it could b because he has some underlying feelings for will that he hasnt realized yet and is unknowingly taking out these frustrations on will (rip)

• and i did appreciate how mike apologized to will and that heartfelt talk they had as will was packing his stuff - again, the talks and discussions they had were continuously will trying to console mike despite his shit attitude towards him, so mike finally saying that 'he doesnt deserve to be treated that way' and the Pure hopeful expression on wills face and mikes big smile when they established each other as being each others besties again,.,.,. what was the reason What was the reason

• also this has nothing to do with anything but the background posters in wills room of Jaws 1975 and the og little shop of horrors musical (the lyricist to that musical being howard ashman, a gay man) ... gay!! Gay (source for this being im a mega stan of these two things and i am gay thank you vry much)

• back to the topic at hand tho, i feel like theres some sort of specific costuming choices what with the characters outfit colour schemes and id do a deeper analysis if i knew what i was talking about

• like smthing smthing about how mike brings el yellow and blue flowers and shes dissapointed with how he still signed the bouquet by writing 'from, mike' not 'love, mike', and from what google says about flowers blue can be interpreted as representing peace or a balm to anxiousness, i read somewhere that it also represented desire and romance tho, but for yellow its apparently 'the ideal color for symbolizing friendship'

• then again will has been wearing yellow and blue plad shirts and mike has been wearing an equally chaotic mix of yellow and blue in his outfits and those are just two contrasting colours that compliment each other well, indicating that the writers just purposefully wanted their outfits to be coordinated wink wink

• and to just really get into it theres this General disconnect between el and mike and how they just arent on the same wavelenght anymore, el's message that she leaves behind for mike also being signed with a 'from, el' not 'love, el', seeming to indicate that unless mike apologizes and professes his love to her in volume 2, their romance is kinda officially fizzling out

• honestly ive always rooted for mike and el pre realizing that will and mike was a possibility in the shows plot, and what with el going THRU IT in the following episodes of season 4, i feel like her and mike latched onto each other super hard at the start of the show and whats coming to light now is that their bond is just as valid if it remains platonic

could you explain why the "all men are bad" mentality is bad? idk bc I see poc saying they hate white people and gay ppl saying they hate straight people and trans ppl saying they hate cis ppl and everyone thinks it's fine but when women say they hate men lots of people have an issue. im not really informed in this tho and most of the explanations ive seen are just ppl babying men bc "it's not their fault they were born men" so id really appreciate any input you have!!

well for starters i don't really think we should be comparing misogyny to other forms of oppression because the way women experience misogyny is always tied to their race, sexuality, social status, nationatily, religion, and many more factors. misogyny is such a broad concept i don't really think you can reduce it to just one simple word, because although society as a whole is misogynistic, misogyny itself is not a universal and unique experience among women. it looks really different depending on the context. but well that's just something i wanted to clarify before explaining the other point.

now the problem with the "men are trash" mentality. i don't think it's always a problem that women complain about men. after all we do experience misogyny and it's okay to want to speak out about it. but at one point we need to draw the line and be careful with what and how we speak about these issues because they can backfire on other minorities. saying or even implying that all men are abusive by default leads to:

victim-blaming women, whether they're straight, bi, or even lesbian, that are being abused by their partners because "well if they didn't want to be abused they shouldn't have dated a man!"

contributes to racial stereotypes that portray men of color, especially dark skinned men, as aggressive and abusive.

can backfire on trans women because a big part of terf ideology is trying to convince other women that biological men are "the enemy"

can be harmful towards gay men and even straight up homophobic, since they're trying to accept and celebrate their sexuality only to be told 24/7 that men are gross and they shouldn't like them

so basically. it's not bad for women to complain and speak out about misogyny, but this mob mentality that men are inherently Bad is not the way.

yeeeess this is the perfect date for Narancia!! he loves spontaneous stuff like this. he’d have so much fun gorging himself on street food and playing around with weird fits. he’d probably put on the stupidest things he can find, like this. and if you go to karaoke, be ready to screech some absolute bangers. he will not take anything less than confident (yet bad), loud (yet joyous) singing. 🎤 n while he might be falling nodding off at the McDonald’s, he’d sleepily tell you how amazing the day was and how he wants to do this again 💕

ofc, share all you want! omg... I love this idea..... Kakyoin would be so soft anytime a cat approaches him. he’d do a little “pspsps” and hold out his finger for them to smell. and once a cat actually nudges him, he’d just melt! he wouldn’t show it outwardly, but you can see it in how bright his eyes get. I think Kakyoin would be the type to either attract a ton of cats or cats hate him, there’s no in between. 😭❤️ both make for some gr8 scenarios, though!

I think he’d be really annoyed that the day ended up this way, but he’s glad that he got to spend it with someone he tolerates. 💕 Rohan would try to push past those feelings once you go to the restaurant. this date is still salvageable!! he might complain a lil, but ultimately, he’d try to focus on you and what you enjoyed 🥰
