svt in college! | alex edition
° pairing: ot13 x reader ° genre: fluff(?), what my stream of consciousness finds funny, college!au ° word count: 1034 ° warning: slightttt violence ° a/n: i know i have requests to write >< but i really needed to write smth fun :( act as a shot of of serotonin into my veins ahahaha [insert fratboy emoji] disclaimer tho - this was ENTIRELY SELF INDULGENT and very very catered to me which is why vernonâs is unnecessarily long SO IM SORRY !!! i still hope you guys think its fun :D
° masterlist!Â
seungcheol: a business major, minoring in international relations. has the slightest crush on you but suppresses it pretty well without you realizing because he knows you like someone else. he likes to take you on what he calls bestie dates to a nearby arcade or places to eat when youâre stressed.
jeonghan: a psych major, minoring in communications, whom you oddly spend a lot of time with because he asks for homework help every other day when youâve only taken 1-2 psych classes in your entire life :P but heâs a good listener and subs in as therapist on the weekdays so you let him stick around.Â
joshua: an english major. doesnât know why and slightly regrets it but if it means he can keep the tinie bookshelf he has in his doom to make it look like heâs smart, then thatâs motivation to keep him going. you tolerate him because you guys randomly go on trips at 2am and buys you food :D
jun: a childhood education major. the friend of a friend of a friend of someoneâs cousin that happen to be your friend and so you see him at parties sometimes :) actually really fun to be around when youâre not too much into the party scene and play hopscotch or bean bag toss outside the personsâ backyard.Â
soonyoung: the loud dance team captain that wonât give you 5 minutes of quiet time waiting for your chem professor to open the door to the lab room because he has his speakers on at max volume dancing to kelly clarkson,,,, heâs pretty chill otherwise, heâs in my math class. claims hes the eye of the tiger when he comes to class in leopard print
wonwoo:Â premed thatâs somehow taking enough classes to graduate with a literature minor. he and cheol talk a lot because theyâre in the same broadcasting club or something of the sort. you guys acknowledge each otherâs presence and share a moment of tea together sometimes with cheol.
jihoon: double majoring in music composition and theory. says he absolutely hates it because he thinks the work he does is completely pointless. but then goes on to write you like 27484737 love songs within a week for a single assignment. denies to other people that youâre his best friend and that he hates your guts but youâre the only one allowed in his private studio on school days and can fiddle with his equipment sometimes :3
minghao:Â an art major minoring in history. eventually wants to be a gallery director so he can hold his own. you make him drag you everyone for his work when youâre bored or have free time bc he takes pictures for the school newspaper/website. you guys strike a negotiation that you drive and he buys snacks.Â
mingyu:Â you only know him for playing in your uniâs (american) football team. his tall ass is like linebacker or some shit you donât even know his major. you had to take a kickboxing class for PE credit and you swept him to the ground and put him a choke hold. you never let him live that down everrr. you also steal his lunch money from his bag when heâs at practice.
seokmin:Â a musical theatre major, minoring in music composition. you guys met through jihoon. you were absolutely FLOORED when you heard him sing as the lead for the schoolâs spring musical. it is now tradition that you guys get crepes after every show and make jihoon pay B) he hangs out with you and jihoon a lot and randomly make music together. and ahahaha people think jihoon and seokmin are fighting over you!! >:( thatâs absolutely preposterous, seokmin is too good of a soul (you say this as you help him kneed dough for the pizza you guys are making together)
seungkwan:Â an education major, minoring in music because he wants to teach music to little kiddos ^-^ THE BESTEST OF THE BESTIES!!! like if youâre not hanging out with jihoon/seokmin or cheol, you crash at seungkwanâs apartment and raids his kitchen when you run out of groceries ;D he keeps making fun of you for your car until you remind him that he canât drive. on the weekends, you guys love to bake muffin, cookie, or cake recipes to prep for the daycare on mondays :3
vernon:Â okay actually, he doesnât go to college SHDJSJSHS you met him on the side of the road once when you decided to walk instead of using your car (silly you!) and you saw vernon doing some cool graffiti art (IT WASNâT VANDALISM!!!). which was a total coincidence because at that point, you were ready to take a bus and wait right at the bus stop where he set up. since it was a long wait, you guys talked and he kept you company. you learn that this is actually a big project heâs been working on and is finally getting paid big bucks for something he really likes doing. you learn that heâs a great conversationalist and you miss the bus first bus ride home and have to wait another hour or so whoops! this becomes more and more of a daily thing, slowly getting to know each other. fast forward months later and itâs your birthday :D and you donât expect anything at all because how would he know, you donât really like your birthday anyways UNTIL vernon surprises you with a spray paint drawing of your favorite animal! and then asks you out on a date and you guys fall deeply in love
chan:Â a linguistics major. yeah, he doesnât know why either, heâs just rolling with it. says heâs liking it so far, but no one really knows if heâs lying or not, including yourself. you drag chan to college events like club fairs and rallies because youâre too embarrassed to go alone and no one else wants to go LOL he begs you to drive him places during your three day weekends because he always wants to go off campus and do stuff with you and the guy pals, but he doesnât like the freeway :/ its fine though because he pays for gas.Â

A Match Set
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Pairing: Benny Watts x Reader
Summary: After meeting one night in New York, you and Benny Watts are drawn to each other. As you go through different experiences with one another, you grow closer until it finally gets to be too much for Benny.
Word Count: 1890
Warnings: none
Notes: aye this is my first fic because there is a serious lack of benny watts fics and i had to change that for myself. this will probably be multiple chapters that can be read separately.
It was your first art gallery, and you were both anxious and overjoyed to see people surveying your work. You had put so many hours into each piece and all kinds of people had poured in to look. It was a well known gallery, but the variety still surprised you. You looked around and saw some interesting characters, but your interest was piqued when your eyes fell upon a particular cowboy.
He was inspecting one of your favorite paintings which had chess pieces as the subject. The pieces merely served as part of a metaphor in your art, as the game and all its complexities had never really been your thing. As you looked closer at the man you realized that, not only had his outfit sparked your interest, but he seemed familiar too. Out of curiosity, you walked over and stood next to him.
âWhat are your thoughts?â You asked, motioning towards the painting.
His initial expression showed surprise that you were talking to him, but he recovered quickly, saying, âItâs good. I think the artist has talent.â You felt a bit of pride hearing that. You opened your mouth to say thanks, but you decided not to reveal yourself. You wanted him to give his honest opinion without fear of offending you.
âSo do you like chess?â He nodded to the painting. Hearing this you made the connection as to why you remembered seeing him before. Your father owned a little bookshop back home and you were looking into chess for the same painting you were discussing right now. You had seen this cowboy on the back of one of those books, but you hadnât given it another thought, never actually expecting to meet him. You decided not to reveal this information either and continued with the conversation.
âI can play a modest game. You?â
âI can play a modest game.â He had a small smile as he shrugged.
âYour first lie.â You said smirking back.
He looked confused but curious, so you explained about your research, your fathers bookshop, the whole story. He puffed up a bit after hearing that, looking impressed that you knew who he was.
âWhatâs your name?â He asked, still curious.
âY/nâ you replied.
âNice name. Iâm Benny, but you already seem to know who I am. On the other hand I donât know anything about you.â He reached out his hand to shake yours.
âYou walk in here with a black trench coat but you make me out to be the mysterious one,â you smirked as you took his hand. He chuckled a bit, and after your introduction, you asked why he was here.
âMy friend knows the artist actually. She told us we had to see her work before going out.â You hummed as you thought about what to say, but he interjected.
âI donât usually do this, and Iâm not sure why Iâm doing this now, but maybe youâd consider coffee with me. I wonât tell anymore liesâ he joked.
You laughed a little, mildly shocked. âyouâre not sure why? Thatâs flatteringâ you teased.
âNot what I meant-â but before you could come to a conclusion on his sudden offer, you heard an excited french accent.
âY/n! Im so proud! You finally got to show off all that talent!â Your friend Cleo ran up to you and wrapped her arms around you. You hadnât seen her since you lived in France for a few months and you had missed her. You left for France after you realized you werenât really needed at home, so you dedicated yourself to trying to soak up some culture. She looked gorgeous like you remembered, fitting for a model. You continued your reunion embrace for a moment before she waved her arms to the men and woman behind her. She introduced the friends she had brought to your show as Arthur, Hilton, and Annette, who all smiled at you. Cleo paused to turn to the cowboy saying, âI see youâve already met Benny.â
âYeah we met,â he said, âbut I didnât know this was your work. I wouldâve told you how impressed I am.â Your cheeks turned a light pink at the praise.
âLook at Benny, impressed with someone besides himself for once.âCleo poked fun and the group let out a laugh.
âHey Iâm not a narcissist or anything, donât listen to Cleo,â Benny made excuses to you, only mildly offended.
âSure you arenât. I have nothing against narcissists,â you jokingly assured him. This answer didnât comfort the man who had essentially just asked you on a date.
You and Cleo continued to catch up and you talked more with her friends as well. Benny just stood next to you, and you caught him glancing at you once or twice, but you just ignored it. Eventually you agreed to go out for drinks with the group, walking with them to a bar a couple blocks down called Halâs.
You all squeezed into a booth while Arthur went off to get drinks. You sat on the outside, watching the people out on the floor next to you giggling and dancing. Having a couple of drinks beforehand mustâve contributed to the large amount of people out there, you thought. Arthur eventually announced his return by laying a tray of drinks in the middle of the table.
You were all conversing and sipping on your drinks when Annette decided she wanted to dance. Cleo agreed enthusiastically, but the rest of us refused. She suggested we all take shots to make it easier, but once again we tried to turn her down. she pleaded, âcome on guys, itâs a Saturday night, and you canât possible lose something from it. Have a little bit of fun with me!â
We relented, having a feeling that she wasnât going to give up any time soon. She gave a little clap and handed out the shots. You knocked yours back with everyone else and grimaced at the bitter taste. Shaking it off, you slid out of the booth so the others could get out. You moved back into your spot after they all made their way to the throng of people. You decided you would join them later, but you liked to observe first. You looked over and the only two left were you and Benny. You slid over to him, not wanting to sit awkwardly on the other end like he wasnât there.
âI bet you five bucks that lady is bored out of her mind.â He pointed to a blonde on a date across the bar, âEither sheâs an alcoholic or sheâs trying to tune out baldie.â You looked at the woman and saw she was surrounded by empty glasses while the man in front of her seemed like he was boasting endlessly. You both started making observations about the various people in the bar. Most of them were snarky comments that you whispered into each otherâs ears, giggling, but you also created imaginary lives for them, guessing who they were and how they got here. After sharing a couple laughs, you sighed and reached a comfortable lull before Benny brought up what you knew was coming.
âSo have you thought about my earlier question?â He eyed you seriously all of a sudden, but you didnât feel any pressure. He seemed the type of confident where he thought you would say yes, but he could recover if you said no.
You weighed in your impression of him. He was cute, with fluffy hair and nice eyes that were a kind of chocolate color. He was funny and you he seemed intelligent (I mean he had to be, he played competitive chess). Albeit his trench coat and hat were a bit eccentric, but that wasnât a bad thing, in fact you found it attractive.
âSo have you?â He asked again, leaning his head in.
âOh uhâ you hadnât realized while you were thinking that you had zoned out looking at him. Clearing your throat you said, âIâm free for coffee.â You stopped, âBut you have to wear the hat.â
âWouldnât leave home without itâ he winked.
Suddenly you were shoved against him as your tipsy friends barreled back into the booth.
âWe should probably join themâ you said as you moved off him, pushing one of the leftover drinks towards him. He nodded and you both drank some more just to get on the same level as your friends.
âYou two havenât even danced! I saw you whispering. Too busy flirting?â Annette smiled as she slurred a few of her words. You just looked down, cheeks pink, leaving Benny to respond.
âHow were you watching us when you were dancing with that guy, the one who looks like heâs only ever kissed his mother.â
âNo, Iâm sure heâs kissed other people! I mean he did seem young but...â Annette looked over to the guy she dragged to dance with her earlier. He stood sheepishly in the corner, looking like he hadnât outgrown his baby fat yet, and was definitely not a city type. âHeâs just shy!â She defended, but me and Benny just looked at each other, falling into giggles. You figured out that night that Annette was one of those drunks who got a little childish, but she was sweet.
You wouldâve been content to keep hanging out with Benny, if it hadnât been for Cleo who grabbed your hand and pulled you out to the dance floor. You looked back at Benny, but gave in and allowed her to twirl you into the crowd. You were having a good time with Cleo, Hilton and Arthur dancing on either side of her. You were soon out of breath, but didnât mind, enjoying it all.
You had moved to the city a couple months ago, but hadnât had time to make friends, focusing on your work and setting up your apartment. You missed having company, people who were fun and interesting.
You continued to move to the beat of the song until you bumped into someone. You looked back to see Benny smiling next to you. You smiled back and let him in to the little circle you and your friends had created. You felt a little warm, not from the dancing, but from being close to him.
After fifteen minutes you were all tired and made your way to the booth to gather all your things up and pay the bill. You walked out of the bar and into the chilly night air, grateful for the residual body heat that came from all the dancing. You hugged Cleo and your new friends goodbye as took turns getting into taxis and headed towards their homes. Hilton offered to wave you down a taxi too, but you declined, explaining that your home wasnât a far walk. He shrugged and gave you another hug before climbing into the yellow car. Once again it was just you and Benny.
âJust the two of us again huh?â He spoke, and he definitely didnât sound turned off by the idea.
âFate I guess.â
âSureâ he said casually.
âDo you not believe in fate?â You asked. You werenât a firm believer in the idea but something in his tone made you curious.
âIâve had this debate before I think. Iâm not sure, but Iâd like to figure it out. How about you?â He said. You imagined him having a lot of debates. You had just met him, but he seemed to fall into the intellectual category. They always kept things interesting, and frequently offered new perspectives.
âI mean everythingâs gotta mean something, there has to be a purpose. I just donât know if we make our own purpose or if weâre given a purpose; fate.â You mused, not meaning to get existential. He didnât seem to mind.
âYou seem like the type to want to figure things out too.â He said âtooâ. So you and him both liked to do that. You added that to the growing list of things you liked about him.
âI guess I am.â He had a pleased look on his face and you just shrugged as you started to say goodbye.
âWaitâ he grabbed your arm, âI heard you say you didnât live far, I could walk you.â Before you could protest he told you, âit wouldnât be a big deal, I heard you tell Hilton where you lived, weâre in the same direction.â
You agreed, finding yourself wanting to talk to him more. He offered you his arm casually and you laughed to yourself a little at the gesture, taking it anyway. You walked down the sidewalk, talking and laughing. You felt comfortable as you felt like you leveled with him. It seemed like too short of a walk as you suddenly found yourself at the door of your apartment building.
âGuess this is goodnight.â Benny said as you both stood on the sidewalk.
âWhat about coffee?â You asked.
âGlad you remembered. Iâll pick you up at twelve tomorrow, we can make it lunch. Iâll pick you up.â He said it decidedly, like it was just a fact. Something you noticed he did often.
âOk then. Lunch. Tomorrow. Am I forgetting anything?â You said as you stepped halfway into the doorway.
âIf you are we can figure that out later. Iâll see you.â He waved with a slight smile.
You waved back and smiled in return, watching him walk away before closing the door. You sped up to your apartment, letting yourself finally feel the excitement and anticipation of going out. You stripped off your clothing as soon as you got in and flopped on your bed, feeling sort of giddy. You felt like you and Benny were connected, though you had barely met him. As you laid down you smiled to yourself, looking forward to tomorrow.

Kitten Part VII
Kylo AU x Reader
Here we go againnnnnn. Im not sure how the hell this fic has become so long. Itâs going to start wrapping up in the next part. Enjoy friends!
Warnings: NSFW, oral sex, dom/sub dynamic, daddy kink, praise kink Tag list: @reyloaddict55â @candycanes19â @jediminddicks1000â @finn-ray-nal-beadsâ @maybe-your-leftâ @thegreenmattâ @morbyâ @sydneyssmutâ @contesa-lui-alucard
To start this fic from the beginning, please refer to my masterpost.Â
The week slipped by.
Your dress from Kylo arrived at work on Friday morning, no chance to back out of wearing it.
You took the garment bag and an additional box into your office and shut the door.Â
You hung the garment bag on the back of the door. Too nervous to open it just yet. You had enough information to trust his taste, he had your sizing, but part of you was still nervous you would be faced with a dress 2 sizes too small that resembled a wench costume.
Exhaling through your mouth slowly you opened the box.Â
You frowned. There were 2 separate parcels. Black tissue paper - of course. You almost rolled your eyes.
You removed the first parcel. Definitely a shoe box. You gasped when you removed the paper and opened the box.Â
âFucking hell Kylo.â You muttered. .
You had watched enough Sex and the City and read enough Vogue to recognize the unmistakable embellishment. Black Manolos.Â
You stroked the shoe in wonder, marveling at the craftsmanship.Â
You repeat your deep yoga breaths, trying not to panic. This was a lot. Extravagant. You knew damn well how much shoes like this cost. You purchased luxury goods from time to time, usually feeling nauseous after the transaction.
You moved to the next parcel, removing it from the box carefully.
Teasing open the tissue paper you broke into a grin. Black lace. A tiny scrap of a thong and a strapless bustier. You grazed your fingers across the fabric, it was beautiful, the bustier was mostly sheer, the boning visible.Â
You were seeing the vision, and you were in support of it, chewing your lip as you imagined yourself in just the lingerie and heels. Imagining the look on his face when he saw you in your gifts.Â
âOk, let's do this.â You murmured to yourself, walking over to stand in front of the garment bag.Â
Another deep breath. You slowly unzipped the bag. The first thing you saw was the label. You were going to kill him. This was too much.Â
Alexander McQueen, fucking McQueen! You knew it was going to be perfect before you even had the whole bag open.
The neckline was an elegant sweetheart cut. The hourglass silhouette, midi length and black fabric exuded understated elegance. You turned the dress to find a back slit at the hem.Â
You held it, staring in awe. It was beyond anything you could have expected.Â
You hung it back up gingerly.
You sat at your desk feeling dazed. Overwhelmed by the generosity, unsure what it meant? Just- everything.Â
-
You had agreed to meet at Kyloâs prior.Â
You felt amazing, the dress fit like a glove. You had never worn anything so beautifully made. Everything you liked about your body was accentuated. The bustier clinched in your waist and pushed up your breasts just enough; you had stared at yourself in the mirror in slight amazement.Â
And! the! shoes! So comfortable for a pair of heels, so much so that the price suddenly seemed reasonable.Â
In a last minute panic you had had your hair and makeup done. Youâd be damned if your cosmetic skills were going to let the team down.Â
Your stomach flip flopped as you rode the elevator to Kyloâs floor, nervous excitement coursing through your body.Â
You knocked on his front door and waited.Â
The door opened. Your jaw went slack as you took in the glory that was Kylo in a tux.
âWow.â You breathed, walking in the door.Â
He was frozen in place, slowly taking you in.
He met your gaze, âY/n, you lookâ..fuck you look amazingâ...beautiful.âÂ
âI- thisâ you motioned at your dress and shoes, âthis is too much-...what I mean is, thank you, itâs so generous, but-... fuck Kylo, Manoloâs? McQueen? I just about passed out when I op-â
He cut off your babbling by stepping forward and grabbing the back of your neck, greeting your lips with a bruising kiss.
âSo you like them then?â He smiled, against your mouth.Â
âI love them. Iââ he again swallowed your words, his kiss slow and passionate.
He traced along your collarbone with his fingers, âshould have got you a necklace.â He mused, breaking the kiss.
âNoâŠâ you shook your head, sighing as his soft lips kissed down your neck.Â
âStop being so oppositional.â He murmured, lips still planting delicate kisses on your dĂ©colletage.
You huffed. He stood up to full height, eyes twinkling.Â
âAccept it, Kitten. Iâm going to spoil you. I want to.â
You sighed, fingering the lapels of his tux, âit makes me a bit uncomfortableâ you grumbled, âso much moneyâŠâ
âI donât have anything else to spend my money on.â He said softly. You felt a twinge of sadness. âDo you want to know why I got you that dress?â
âMmmm why?âÂ
âThe collection was inspired by art nouveau which you said you loved. Remember, you showed me that work by Klimt? Also I knew you would look incredible in it.âÂ
You look up at him, right into the dark amber of his eyes. You were moved.
âAre you serious?â You murmured in wonder.
He nodded, eyes crinkling with a smile, notably chuffed at your reaction.
âKylo⊠this is, wowâ...Iâm really touched. I have only known you what? 8 or 9 months and this is the most thoughtful gift I have everâŠ.â you trailed off. Feeling a wave of emotion that made you choke up.
âOh, Kitten, I didn't mean to upset you.â He soothed, pulling you into his chest, it felt so safe there, engulfed by his arms.
âItâs a good upset.â You sniffed, pressing your face to his chest.Â
âOh shit! Fuck!â You pulled away, âfucking makeup, You inspected his shirt and tuxedo jacket, relieved to find no traces of foundation.
Kylo looked at you amused. âI wouldnât have been totally upset if we couldnât go because my shirt got stained.â
âBehave.â You grinned giving him a playful smack on the chest before taking his hand, âcome on, we better go.â
-
You stepped through the main door of the venue. People were milling around everywhere, beautifully dressed women and dapper men chatting loudly, armed with drinks.
Kylo took your hand and squeezed gently.
âWhat these things are good for is the booze.â He said as he steered you towards the bar.Â
You were soon armed with generously poured cocktails.Â
âIâm going to apologise in advance for the incredibly boring conversation.â He said in a low voice.
âItâs ok, I have to go to shit like this for the gallery all the time. Keep the patrons happy, fundraising and all that jazz.â
âProbably more interesting people than this bunch.â He grimaced.
As if on queue a deep voice boomed, âDr Ren!â
An older gentleman ambled up to Kylo and whacked him on the back jovially. âHow are you son?!âÂ
They shook hands, âgreat to see you again Sir!âÂ
The man turned his attention to you, you smiled politely. Â
âRen, who is this lovely lady you have with you?â
âThis is Dr y/l/n, y/n is the director at the city art gallery.â He introduced you, a touch of pride in his voice. ây/n, this is Sir David Walker, chair of the medical council.â
âLovely to meet you Sir.â You shook his hand.
âLikewise, likewise.â He smiled at you warmly. âExcellent to have such bright young minds among us old decrepit lot.â
You laughed as he turned back to Kylo.Â
âSo where have you been hiding this one, Ren, keeping her away from all this malarkey as long as possible?.â He joked.Â
Kyloâs hand crept to the small of your back, where it rested.
You sipped away at your drink as they got into a conversation about the stock market, nodding when it seemed appropriate.Â
You crept away at one point, getting another round of drinks for you both.Â
You came back to find Kylo alone, you handed him his drink.Â
âTold you.â He grinned.
âOh stop, he was very nice.â You chided, sipping your drink.
-
2 hours later you were many cocktails deep and chatting away to whoever was around, Kylo was a few steps away with a group of men discussing the driest topics known to man. You had tapped out pretty quickly, opting for another drink and mingling.
His eyes drifted every now and then, checking on you. If you caught his eye you would wink.Â
-
It was nearing midnight when you came back to each other.Â
You were leaning against a pillar, watching some of the guests dancing outrageously. Kylo came up behind you and slipped his hands around you.Â
âYou look sooooooooo fucking hot, Kitten.â He murmured in your ear.
Oh he was tipsy. Definitely tipsy. Handsy as well. His hands brushing the underside of your breasts.
âHiiiiiiii baby.â You grinned, reaching back and stroking his face. âAre you drunk?â
âA little, Iâm also hungry, all they have is fucking canapĂ©s the size of thimbles.â
âOh god donât even talk about food, Iâm wasting away here.â Your stomach growled as if in agreement.
âLetâs get the fuck out of here and get pizza.â He decided.
âNow we are fucking talking!â
You were feeling rather tipsy as well, your feet not quite coordinating as you wished. You swore as you stumbled a little.Â
âFucking martinis.â You grumbled, as Kyloâs arm shot out to steady you.
-
You managed to get yourselves down the road and into a pizza shop. Collapsing gratefully into a booth.
Because you were both slightly inebriated, ordering 3 pizzas seemed like an amazing idea, because how could you ever choose?Â
When the table was heaving with giant pizzas you realised the absurdity of your order.Â
âBabe, smile- this is fucking ridiculous.â Kylo laughed, holding up his iPhone. You posed with your slice of pizza, grinning at the camera.Â
He snapped a few, chuckling.Â
You both did an impressive job at getting through most of the pizza. Glad to soak up some of the booze sloshing in your stomach.Â
Feeling less like a legless teenager, you held Kyloâs hand as you walked down the street. A breeze picked up and you shivered.Â
Pausing, Kylo took off his tuxedo jacket and draped it over your shoulders.Â
âWhat a gentleman, thank you.â You smiled, kissing his hand softly.Â
âLooks good on you.â He winked, as he opened the Uber app on his phone.Â
The car pulled up within minutes. Kylo pulled your body into his, in the back seat, keeping you warm.Â
-
You unlocked your front door, âwelcome to my humble abode, itâs not quite Casa Ren, but I like it.âÂ
Kylo walked into your apartment and his eyes flitted around.Â
It wasnât small, but it wasnât big either, somewhere in the middle. The walls were covered in art, well actually, anything that made you happy really.Â
âThis is soâŠ..you.â He smiled, seeming much more relaxed than you had expected, âit smells like you.â
âI hope youâll be comfortable here.â You said softly, tucking yourself under his arm. He kissed the top of your head, wordlessly.Â
âCan you undress me Daddy?â You whispered, snuggling into him.
You felt him freeze, and exhale with a soft hum.
âJust let me know if i take it too far or something ok? Iâve never done this...er, roleplayâ you looked up at him biting your lip.
He chuckled, eyes fiery âneither have I Kitten, but say it again.â
âDadddddy.âÂ
âFuck.â
âShow Daddy the pretty lingerie he got you, Kitten.âÂ
You took off the dress carefully. He didnât take his eyes off you. You looked at him and twirled.Â
âWhat do you think, Daddy?â You asked with a little smile.Â
âJesus Christ, come here.â He said softly.Â
You walked and stood in front of him.Â
âWhatâs that in your trousers Daddy?â You asked coyly gazing at his obvious erection, before being unable to control yourself and letting out a laugh.Â
His hand landed on your backside fairly hard, making you yelp.
He was grinning, âwhy donât you put your hand in there and find out little girl?â
You pushed him against the wall and worked his belt open. You watched his face as you put your hand into his briefs and wrapped your fingers around his cock.Â
Sucked in air through clenched teeth and met your gaze.Â
You widen your eyes, âso big Daddy!â
He smirked. You were both finding this whole roleplay comical, but it was quickly becoming insanely sexy, you were getting lost in the moment.
âDo you think you can fit it in your mouth Kitten?â He almost purred.
âI can try my best, Daddy.âÂ
âThatâs my good girl.â
You hummed happily at his words, getting down on your knees and pulling down his trousers and briefs.
Wrapping your hand back around the base you began to kitten lick his tip. He leant his head back against the wall making a strangled sound.Â
Flattening your tongue you licked him in one slow motion from base to tip, pausing to tease that one spot you knew drove him wild.
âHhhhnggh good gi-... jesus!â You took him entirely in your mouth without warning, until you gagged.
You sat back on your feet and pouted up at him, âitâs too big, Daddy.âÂ
His eyes crinkled with amusement, âShall i take you to bed, little girl?â he asked, kicking off his shoes and trousers.Â
You nodded eagerly.
âUse your words, Kitten.â
âYes, please Daddy.â
He motioned for you to stand up, when you were on your feet he picked you up.Â
He carried you to your bedroom, your legs wrapped around his waist.
âDonât fucking stop with this, itâs so fucking sexy babe.â he breathed in your ear as he walked.Â
You chuckled, âthis is fun, Daddy.â
He growled, before placing you gently on the bed.
He slowly took off his shirt, you watched, you could almost see his mind ticking. Â
âWhat do you want me to do, Daddy?â you smiled, leaning back on your arms.Â
âYou can start by taking off those panties and showing Daddy your pussy.â he said casually.
You lifted your hips and slid the tiny thong off, kicking it at him. Leaning back on your elbows you spread your legs wide.Â
âTouch yourself, tell me how wet you are.â he instructed, roughly.Â
âYes Daddy.â you purred, taking two fingers and running it through your folds with a little groan.Â
He looked at you expectantly, now completely naked, cock angrily red and erect.Â
âItâs very wet Daddy, what does that mean?â you asked with a smirk.Â
âIt means, little girl, that you are ready for Daddyâs cock.â he breathed.
You nodded in agreement, grinning as he got onto the bed next to you and lay on his back, then patted his thighs, âcome sit here Kitten, Daddy wants to see your pretty tits bounce in the lingerie he got you.âÂ
You clambered over his thighs eagerly, dragging your pussy over his thigh greedily.Â
He grabbed your hips and lined you up, so you hovered just above the tip of his weeping cock.Â
He pushed you down onto his cock agonisingly slowly, watching your face intently as it contorted with pleasure, little whimpers tumbling from your lips as he stretched you out. It wasn't until he had you fully sheathed that he threw his head back with a loud moan.Â
âGood girl, good girl, good girl.â he moaned.Â
You used all your willpower to stay still and wait for instruction.Â
âFuck, Kitten, move baby girl.â he hissed, taking your hips again and setting a pace for you.
âPerfect, youâre perfect.â he moaned as you moved up and down, rolling your hips slightly.Â
His eyes did indeed watch your tits bounce in the bustier, hands caressing your thighs.Â
Your hands crept in between your legs, seeking your clit. He batted your hand away and replaced your fingers with the pad of his thumb.
âOh god, Ky-..Daddy-â you cried out as he pressed firmly on your clit and began to thrust to meet your movements.Â
âNeed to cum Kitten?â he asked, pausing his thumbs movement on your clit.
âMmmmm yes, yes please, Daddy, please!â you pleaded.Â
He doubled his efforts, sending you barreling toward climax with a gasp.Â
You came with a sob, chanting, âDaddydaddydaddydaddy.â
He flipped you both over, so you could lie bonelessly as he held your legs to his chest as he thrust into you to reach his own climax with a loud growl.Â
He collapsed next to you panting, âThat wasâŠâ
âHot.â you finished before laughing and rolling over, tucking yourself under his arm.Â

Rich Girl, Poor Boy (Jungkook x You x Taehyung) (ONESHOT)
A/N:This is a rare occurance where I write a non-idol AU đ and also, its not edited, so expect to find lots of grammatical error and typo errors
Jungkook sighed as he looks up at the stars lining the clear dark skies and stands up to make his way inside the huge ballroom of his family mansion, which is often dark and gloomy but tonight is filled with bright lights and people's laughter. Tower of wine and champagne dotted the table, the food, extravagant, the girls, beautiful, the music, exquisite, his parents would have hire Beethoven himself if he were still alive, anything in the name to show everyone, both enemies and allies, how powerful the Jeon family is.
This is just another normal parties for them, for their "crowd". Jungkook is raised within other big families, wealthy families with empires of their own, all only soughting for one thing; more power. But between all the money talks and business opportunities, Jungkook found one friend he knew he could trust and count on, Kim Taehyung, the one and only heir of the Kim family, his childhood friend, and next door neighbour. Taehyung and Jungkook share no similarities. Whist Taehyung prefer to enjoy the more beautiful parts in life, visiting galleries and taking photos of sceneries he foumd mesmerizing, Jungkook prefer to spend his days partying, drunk till the daylight shines and waking up with girls he wont remember the name of the next day. While Taehyung tries to hide away from his family name and fortune, Jungkook basked in every single cent of it. But still, they are the best of friends, always having each other backs againts their parents, the judgemental society, the world.
"Hey, where have you gone?" Taehyung smile the moment he saw Jungkook came in front the massive garden door, a drink in his hand.
"Just getting a breather from all..." Jungkook looks around the grand ballromm, bright with expensive decorations and chandeliers, "this,"
Taehyung laughed.
"Why? Dont you like parties? Girls? Champagne? A place to show off your the next Jeon heir? This parties have everything you like roll into one Kookie,"
"Yah, I'm not that bad!" Jungkook glares. "You know I only embraced it because theres no way I can run from it. Or hide. You are just lucky your parents gets you Tae," he smile and pat Taehyung's back.
"And you are lucky you got me," Taehyung winked. Jungkook lets out a laugh. True. He dont think he can hold on to his sanity without Taehyung always anchoring him back. Parties, booze, girls, money, its all fun but what Jungkook really wants is to do music. Write it, sing it, performed it, play it. All of it. But music for the sole Jeon heir? Hah, no way in hell his parents is going to let him. And they are not shy in hiding it either. His parents have been telling him about his responsibility as the family heir every since he could understand what money is. Every chance and opportunity he ever had to play music, his parents destroy without hesitation. He dont have a chance to even explain how music makes him feel.
Happy.
So he buried all of it deep in the grounds. And if his parents wants him to embrace his life as a Jeon heir, then a Jeon heir hes going to be. Thus, money, parties, booze and girls.
"Maybe I do Tae," he laughs. "Old people alert," Jungkook points to an old couple, a family friend, waltzing their way to the two young men, a young girl in tow, ready to be inteoduced to the duo. Most probably their daughter, niece, granddaughter, Jungkook doesnt care, its all the same. They are all gorgeous, shallow, vain, dumb and absolutely boring.
"They never give up do they? Even when you and Adora are al-"
"Gotta go now," Jungkook quickly move away, hiding himself behind the huge, thick curtains his mother spent a fortune on. Sensing the line is clear, he makes his way swiftly to behind the buffet line, ducking every few second, trying to make it out of the room. Busy looking around for possible old people prospect he hits a wall.
A wall that talks.
"Oww! Watch where you are going you idiot!"
Jungkook immediately looks down to the girl sprawled on the floor. Not only the wall is a girl. A rude girl. And.. a beautiful one.
Jungkook smiles.
/////
Y/N looks up to the man who bumped into her. Hes now just looking at her, not saying anything. She take this opportunity to size him up. Hes all dressed up in a suit, an expensive suit at that, so he must be a guest. Shit, shes so dead. Lets just hope hes not an important guest. He is also very, beey handsome. Y/N was mesmerized for a second before she gets a grip and blinked.
"Oww! Watch where you are going you idiot!"
The man didnt say anythin, just smiling at her.
"Helloo? Are you deaf? You are blind and now you cant talk too?" She huffed and stands up on her own, holding tightly the huge coat covering her torn dress. She needs to het to the bathroom quickly, but this idiot havent moved.
"Excuse me? May I pass?"
"Oh, yeah right," the man smile and move aside a bit. When shes just about to pass him, he suddenly spoke. "How come I have never seen you before?"
Y/N was surprised at the question. In a ballroom as big as this, does this man assume he knows everyone?
"Because you hit your head and I'm just your imagination," Y/N roll her eyes. Isnt that the worse pick up line or what? The man chuckle.
"Hmm witty. I like it. But seriously. Who are you? May I know your name?"
"No. And I'm in a rush to mend my torn dress, so if you will excuse me," Y/N sighed and try to make her way again. The man stops her by pulling her hand, startling her.
"I think I can help with that" he winks and drag her outside the huge ballroom.
"Wait, where are you taking me?! Stop or I'll scream!"
"You can scream but I think you will be the one in trouble. And trust me. Do you think a criminal would wear a suit this good?" He laughs and continue to drag her along. Y/N contemplates on what he said, confused as to what he meant. But it didnt take long when he stops in front of a giant door and push it open.
Inside the room are walls and walls of clothes. Dresses, pantsuits, skirts any piece of clothing one could ever imagined.
"W-what is all this?"
"Take your pick,"
"B-but whose are all this?" Y/N walks and touched all the expensive material with the tip of her fingers. She turns back and look at him."Who are you? How can you know about this?"
Jungkook was taken by surprise.
"U-uh..." he realizes that the girl dont know who he is, and its so refreshing to meet someone who for once doesnt know who he is, and he really wants to keep it that way. "I work here. I manage the performances? These are all costume. So you can borrow one,"
"Really?" Y/N raised an eyebrow. "All these expensive materials are costumes?"
"Hey, the Jeons ask for the best, and I delivered," he shrugs, feigning ignorance. Y/N ponders for a while. If its the Jeons, what he say could be true. Everybody know they live life basking in luxury "Just pick one okay? As a payback for bumping into you,"
"Well.. if you put it that way..." she grins and start to go through all the beautiful dresses she could only have ever imagine of being this close to.
Jungkook leans by the door and look at the mystery girl rummaging through his mother old clothes, a smile unexpectedly creeping up his face.
"By the way, I'm Y/N," she peeked theough the clothes and smile. "Whats yours?"
"Me? I'm uh... J-Jungkook," Y/N immediately turns to face him and raised her eyebrows at the mentioned of the name and Jungkook immediately realizes she knows who "Jungkook" is. "Kim Jungkook," he quickly corrected. "I am Kim Jungkook," he laugh awkwardly, hoping she wont notice anything.
"Jungkook? Thats your name? The same name as the heir to this household?" Y/N asks, curious.
"Uh... yeah. You know him?" Jungkook asks cautiously, crossing his fingers for her answer to be no.
"Not personally, of course," she laughs. "I dont know what he looks like but I do hear that name being mentioned once in a while," she shrugs. "And you work here? Isnt that confusing?" She giggles.
"Uh no. I dont really work in close proximity with him. Hes always out and about. Doing uh... stuff," Jungkook answers nervously. "And we also look totally different,"
"Yeah? Well, if he is as handsome as people say he is, maybe you guys have a lot of similarities," Y/N laughs and went back to dive inside the closet
"Maybe..," Jungkook smiles. "Maybe we do," Oh Y/N, you have no idea.
/////
"You keep texting and smiling these days Y/N. Is someone having a new boyfriend?" Adora giggle and peek her hewd to the phone screen that Y/N is holding, which she quickly hide with a blush on her face.
"N-no. Not a boyfriend...."
"But.. it is a boy?" Adora's eyes turned wide, her grin; bigger. "Oh my god, why didnt you tell me?! Im so excited! Who is he? Where did yoi two meet? Show me a picture!"
Y/N laughed.
"Well.. I uh didnt think you would be interested in my love life, since you know.. you are my-"
"Friend?" Adora glares at her. "That better be the end of your sentence L/N Y/N!" She crosses her arms across her chest and frowns. Y/N smile sheepishly.
"Y-yeah. Friends," Y/N agrees, eventhough she knows they are no where near to being friends. But she knows better than to defy Adora. Her relationship with Adora is... complicated? Well, not really. Shes her personal maid. Enough said. Although Adora prefer the word "handmaiden" or "personal assistsnce" or her personal favorite, "friend". To be fair, Adora really does thinks of her as a friend, and treated her like one too. But Y/N know her place. Shes a maid. Thats all she is. She jumped from one job to another, washing peoples clothes, washing dishes, picking up trash to get by, and by luck, out of million others who applied, Adora, the only daughter of a multi millionaire pick her to be her "personal assistance". She has only been working with her for a month, but she can already tell that Adora has the heart of gold.
"So who is he? You should tell your friend this kind of things you know," she giggles. "How did you two meet?"
"Well... actually. We uh met at that party you brought me a month ago," she blushes and looks down.
"Shut up!" Adora squeals. "You have met him a month ago and this is the first time I'm hearing this?! You have been texting this guy for a month?!"
"Well... yeah?"
"Oh gosh, things must have been serious! Tell me more!" Adora gushed excitedly. "And you met him at the party? Thats means he must be some other chaebol too! Oh Y/N, we can have a double wedding!"
"What?" Y/N laughs. "Okay, first of all, I only known him for a month. And second, hes not a chaebol. He works there. Do you think some rich kid would even spare me a second glance. I was there at the party as your m-mai-" her words trailed off when Adora glares. "Uh friend. I was only there as your friend, not even in the guest list,"
"Well, anyone would be blind to not fall for you. You are beautiful, inside and out," she smiles. Y/N nods and gave her a small smile. She knows Adora is just being nice, but coming from a beauty queen that has everything like her, it does means a lot. "Okay, I have to go meet my fiance. But you are not off the hook yet! You will definitely tell me everything about this mystery guy when I came back okay?"
Y/N laughs and nods.
"Anything you need me to prepare for while you are out?"
"Hmmm, nothing," Adora ponders. "Oh right, my fiancee is coming here after the cake appointment. So maybe you can prepare some tea and cakes or something?"
"Wait," Y/N pretends to gasps. "You are telling me I finally get to meet this infamous fiancee of yours?"
Since she has only been working here for a month, she has never met Adora's fiancee. She never asked about him either. All she knows is that his family is just as rich as Adora's is and they are childhood friends. Their parents sets them up together so that the famoly money will stay close.
"I guess you finally will," she winks. "Ill see you okay? Love ya," Adora picks up her Balanciaga purse and give her a flying kiss before heading off to the car where the driver is waiting.
Well, she guess she better prepare something special for this special guest then.
/////
"Seriously, why am I being dragged to a cake testing?" Taehyung complaint for the gazillion time as they walk passed rows and rows of expensively decorated cake.
"Because Tae, its free food. And you are my bestfriend, so you should get tortured with me," Jungkook shrugs and poke one of his fingers in one the cake and lick the cream off.
"You both can afford the best wedding planner ten times over, why even bother to taste the cake? Cant you pay someone to do it?" Taehyung poke the same cake and licks it clean too.
"Because," Jungkook roll his eyes. "As if you dont know my fiance Tae. She aims for this to be the wedding of the millenium. And shes a superb bridezilla. She wants to have a say in everything. And apparently, she wants me around while shes saying it,"
"And you follow what she says because?"
"So that I can go home and sleep peacefully at night and not have her and my parents all nagging at me to take this damn wedding seriously!"
"Damn wedding?" Taehyung raised an eyebrows. "I thought you have accepted the fact that you have always meant to marry one of our own? And shes your closest friend, other than me of course. And isnt it you who said, "If I have to marry for riches, I'm glad its Adora"?"
"Well..." Jungkook scratched his head. "That was before I met someone..." Taehyung's eyes widen. "At that party a month ago,"
"You are engaged Jeon Jungkook, what do you mean you met someone?!"
"Shut up okay! We dont want Adora to hear!" Jungkook hissed while looking around. "I just did okay. Its not like I planned it. Shes just so... refreshing. Not to mention... so undeniably beautiful," Jungkook smiles.
"What the hell Kookie? You sound as if you really like this girl. And you never like anyone!"
"I dont know Tae. Shes... different," Jungkook shrugs. "And I really think I want to try with her,"
"Oh my god," Taehyung rans his hands across his face. "So what are you going to do? The wedding is in a few months,"
"I seriously dont know Tae," Jungkook sighs.
"Well, I think, what you need to do now is..." Taehyung smile and nods to someone behind Jungkook, and Jungkook knows exactly who that is by the sound of her expensive heels and the smell of her even more luxurious perfume, "is taste the damn cake with your fiance,"

Tea... Cupcakes... Sugar... Creamers... Short breads...
Y/N arranged the centerpiece for the millionth time as she straighten the teapot again. All ready for Adora and her fiance. Y/N wants it to be perfect. After all, thats the best she can do for the nice treatment Adora has been giving her all this while. She straighten her dress and pick at a lose thread and takes a deep breath. Why is she even so nervous? Y/N chuckle to herself.
She quickly make her way to the doorway once she heard the sound of engine running at the driveway.
That must be Adora.
She opened the door to welcome a smiley Adora who linked her arms to hers while pushing a box of cakes into her other hand.
"Here. I brought some of the cakes we tasted. Tell me what you think okay?" She smiles and walked with Y/N to the tearoom. Y/N looked behind her shoulders to see if there are any guests.
"Wheres uh-"
"My fiancee?" Adora giggles. "You are really eager to meet him dont you? He will be in in a minute. Lets just go first. Hes been here a million times, he knows how to welcome himself in," she takes a seat at the neatly arranged table and Y/N quickly rushed over to served her the tea and cakes.
"You did a good job Y/N," Adora nods at the selection of tea and desserts spread in front of her.
"Thanks miss. I-"
"Dora, where do you want me to put your-" Y/N halted from pouring the tea, spilling it on the table the moment she heard the voice. very familiar voice. A voice that she heard for the first time a month ago, but it never left her mind... and heart. Her heart stops as she looks up from the spilled tea and Adora's frowns to see the face of the man that has been haunting her dreams. And by the look of how he too stop mid sentence, Y/N is pretty sure he recognizes her too.
"Jungkook?"
Adora quickly turns her head up from Y/N to Jungkook to Y/N again. Confused on how the two know each other. Confused on how her maid can adress her fiancee so casually.
"Wait. How do you know his name?" Adora looks at her, a frown on her face. "Dont tell me you two know each other?"
"Well, we uh..," Y/N gulped and looks from Adora to Jungkook, not really sure what to say. Is this really Adora's fiancee? She will kill her if she knows about her and Jungkook. "We-"
Jungkook quickly recovered from his shocked and cut her off.
"No we dont. I have never seen her before in my life. Maybw you got the wrong person?" Jungkook shrugs and place Adora's thibgs on the chair.
"But babe, she knows your name?" Adora looks at him, still suspicious. He kmows Jungkook is a ladies man, but he promise he will honor their relationship, although they both know he doesnt love her.
"Baby, almost everyone know my name. But that doesnt mean I kmow them now do I?"
Y/N looks at the two conversing like she isnt even there, dumbfounded. Is Jungkook really the wrong guy? Or is he pretending not to know her? But why? But then again, the Jungkook she knows cant be Adora's fiancee right? Her fiancee is the Jeon's heir. Are they twins or something?
"Are you sure Kookie? Y/N looks like she really knows you," Adora tilted her head, confused and suspicious.
"I dont babe. Who is she anyway?" Jungkook took a step forward and look at her. Y/N stares back, taking in all his features. His brown doe eyes, his bunny teeth, the mole under his lips... yes its him. She can recognize him anywhere after the countless photos they exchanged through texts. "Your friend?"
"Y-yeah, she uh.. my friend," Adora smiles. Jungkook looks at hee and back to Y/N again after her stutter and laughs.
"Babe, why is your friend serving you tea then? Are you befriending the help again?" Jungkook laughs and take a sit. "Hey, pour me some," he motioned to Y/N. With shaky hands and beating hearts, Y/N went over and serve the man the tea she work so hard to made perfect.
Adora ignores him and ask him again, seeking confirmation. "Are you sure you dont know her Kookie?" She turns to Y/N. "Y/N? You sure?"
Y/N gulped. Should she tell the truth? But whats the point if Jungkook himself is hiding the fact that they know each other right?
"I dont babe. Just trust me already," Jungkook sighed, saving Y/N from answering. "Besides, where would I even know a..." he looks at Y/N with disgust. "A maid from? I dont even remember my own maids, why would I remember yours?"
Y/N felt her heart stop. So much for thinking hes the only guy at the party that wasnt stuck up and see people for who they are and not their status. Hes actually the worse of them all!
"She was at the party a month ago Kookie. The party at your house? Remember? I brought her along,"
His house. That explain the closet full of dresses. Gosh Y/N, how are you so stupid? Works with costume? Same name as the heir? So gullible Y/N! Serves you right.
"Nahh, doesnt ring a bell. Maybe she saw me baby," Jungkook shrugs. "I am afterall is the host,"
"Y/N?" Adora looks at her.
"I-I uh.." Y/N tried to blink back the tears and embarrasment she felt. "I was mistaken. Im very sorry Sir, Miss," she bows.
Adora sigh. "Fine, I will believe you Y/N because I know you wont lie to me. Now I need to make one phone call, Kookie, will you help Y/N carry my stuff inside?"
"Its okay! I can do it on my own!" Y/N quickly interjects. Theres no way she wants to be alone with Jungkook, sorry, Jeon Jungkook right now.
"Dont be stupid. Its a lot. And its Birkins. I dont want you to drop them," Adora giggles. "I went shopping earlier. Help her Kookie, I'll be back," she smile and went out to her call.
Y/N kept quiet and quickly gather up the bags. Jungkook immediately gran her wrist the moment Adora left the room.
"Y/N, I can ex-"
"Sir, please let go of my hand. I need to get going with Miss Adora's bags," Y/N tries to shake him off.
"No! You are not going anywhere until you let me explain!" Jungkook insisted, turning her to face him but Y/N immediately avoid eye contact. How can she look him in the eye after what he did. All her life, her friends have been embarassed by her because of what she do, she cant believe she fell for a guy who felt that way about her too.
"You dont need to ecplain anything Sir, I understand,"
"Stop fucking call me that! And just let me fucking explain!"
The harsh words struck a cord in her, making Y/N bravely look up to his face. "Explain what huh? How you lied to me about who you are? Or how you just insulted me? Or how you are sooo embarassed to actually admit that you know me?" She lets out a sarcastic laugh. "Of course you are. You are the great Jeon Jungkook right? How can you be associated with a maid? How can you even be friends with one?! And you are even engaged!"
"Y/N, please," Jungkook look defeated but still grab her hand before she can walk away. "You dont understand. My world... its different than yours. Its all about money, and status. Adora and me is not even in love with each other but we are getting married because her family status is the only one that matches mine!"
"Right Jungkook, blame it on the money, on the status. But you know what, all that doesnt determined what kind of a person you are. The disgusted look on your face when you realized that I'm your fiancee's maid? No one can fake that," she laughs. "I was wrong about you. Your kind are all the same!"
"W-wrong about me? What do you mean?" Jungkook pull her back again. "Y/N please okay? Give me time to figure things out. Its hard for me!"
"Its hard for you? Really?" Y/N laughs again. "Then I'll make it easy for you. Just forget that you ever knew me. I'm just Miss Adora's maid!" She yelled and grab all the shopping bags.
"Y/N, atleast let me-" Jungkook tries to grab some of the bags from her.
"Just dont Jungkook," she said so weakly and brokenhearted, Jungkook stop mid track. "Just dont okay? Just stay here and have tea with your fiancee. She deserves better," Y/N quickly grab everything and ran off, leaving Jungkook standing alone in the tea room.
/////
Y/N kicked the lose stone with her foot, sighing loudly. After rearranging the Birkins in Adora's massive closet, she was dismissed, much to her relief. Although she is unsure whether her dismissal is cause by Adora suspicion about her and Jungkook or just because her help wasnt needed. Whatever it is, Y/N was grateful as she make her way to the empty garden. She needs to get whatever the hell it is that happened earlier our of her system. She needs to get Jungkook, Adora's fiancee, the Jeon's heir Jungkook, out of her system. She dont know how much longer she can work here. Once Adora and Jungkook gets married, she is pretty sure she will be seeing him even more. She decides to quit as soon as he find something else. Although working with Adora pays good money, but she values her insanity more. She has to quit. She will quit right after the wedding. When Adora dont need her help as much anymore.
"Hey, I didnt know anyone is here? I'm usually the only one who hangs around here," A male voice interrupted her thoughts as she felt his presence sitting down besides her. Y/N look up to the most handsome man she has ever seen. She almost rub her eyes, thinking shes dreaming. How can anyone who looks like that be real?
"I-I'm sorry. Im new here. The whole month I was here no one ever comes to this garden," she quickly stands up amd bows, ready to walk away. The man laughs and pull her wrist, asking her to sit down. For a monent when their skin touched, Y/N felt butterflies.
"Hey its alright. Its a big garden, we can share," he smiles and Y/N immediately feel comfortable. "And also its my fault, I havent come to visited Adora for so long. So thankyou for keeping my favorite garden bench warm,"
"Oh. Y-you are Miss Adora's friend?" Y/N immediately stands up and bows. Adora might treat her like a friend, but she is pretty sure her friends doesnt. And the way Jungkook just treated her proves that. The man furrowed his brows, confused.
"Why are you bowing? And why do you call Dora miss?"
"I'm uh her-"
"Wait, are you her personal helper?"
"Yes, yes I am," Y/N smile at the term the man use. Personal helper, instead of maid. Shes also sure that if this main is Adora's friend, means hes part of that world. The world that Jungkook said cared about status and money more than anything. He would definitely shoo her away now that he knows shes the maid. "I'm sorry to have bothered you. Miss Adora said I can use this garden if I wanted too. I didnt know someone else uses it too,"
"Where are you going?" The man pouts. "Just stay here and talk to me somemore. I'm bored. I mean, if tou dont mind?" He looks at her. Y/N blinks. He still wants to talk to her eventhough shes the help?
"B-but, maybe you didnt hear me. I'm Miss Adora's maid,"
"Uh okay?" The man looks at her confused. "Ohhh, do you have to go and do for her right now?"
"N-no. I mean... I'm a maid. Are you sure you want me to stay and talk to you?"
"Whats wrong with that? A helper is just a job, not who you are. And plus, why wouldnt I want to stay and talk to a pretty girl like you?" He winks, making Y/N blush. Y/N contemplate for a momebt, and after a bad day she had, maybe talking to this handsome stranger is what she needed.
"Okay. Maybe I can spare a few minutes," she smile and sits back down.
"Just so you know, Im not some weirdo or anything. I came here with my friend, hes Adora's fiancee. Maybe you know him?" Y/N nodded slowly. Oh.. so he knows Jungkook too, which means they are all childhood friends. "I'm Kim Taehyung by the way, whats your name?"
Y/N smile. Even his name is beautiful.
"I'm L/N Y/N. Hi Kim Taehyung, its nice to meet you,"
/////
"Is Tae really coming Kookie?" Adora plays with her freshly manicured fingers and looks at her fiance.
"Yeah. He promised me," Jungkook answered lazily. He spent the whole day at Adora's house after the fateful meeting with Y/N earlier, hoping to catch a glimpse of her again, but nothing. Adora had dismissed her for the rest of the day. Now she suggested they went out for dinner, and to avoid the boring conversations he would have with his future wife, he ask, no, forced Taehyung to come with him, which suprisingly, he said yes easily.
"Maybe he bailed. You know he hates to third wheel us Kookie. Why do you always drag him anyway?"
"Well, because hes the best man babe. He should know stuff. And also, he said hes bringing a date tonight," Jungkook shrugs.
"A date? Taetae? Who? Do I know the girl?"
Jungkook turns to look at his fiance and smirks. "Is that jealousy I hear babe? You know I'm still your fiancee right?"
"What the hell are you even talking about? Why would I be jealous if Taetae dates someone?" She laughs awkwardly. "Its about time he does,"
Jungkook laughs and roll his eyes. "Oh please babe, anyone can see you have the hots for him since we were five. Too bad your stuck with me. Dont worry, I still support your love for him. I think you will be good for him," Jungkook laughs. Adora's face turned red.
"Shut up! And dont say anything to anyone. Remember I'm marrying you wild bunny! And what an unfortunate luck that is," she laughs.
"Girls would kill to be you babe, you know that," Jungkook smiles. "Here comes your lover boy," Jungkook motioned to the red Jaguar parked outside as Taehyung huddled out.
"Hey Tae," he smile. "Wheres your imaginary date?" Jungkook looks around and laughs. Taehyung hits his shoulder and laughs.
"Its not imaginary. But then again, shes so beautiful, you might not think shes real," Taehyung winks.
"Whatever," Jungkook roll his eyes. "Where is she?"
"Actually, I'm here to pick her up," Taehyung smile, making both Adora and Jungkook confused. "Here she is now," he motioned to Y/N whos walking through the lawn from the maid's door. "Dora, I hope you dont mind I'm taking Y/N out tonight?"
Adora's eyes widen in surprise, jealousy stir inside of her but she still feel happy for Y/N as she knows that Taehyung will take good care of her. She plastered on a smile.
"Y/N? Shes your date?" She grins. "Sure Tae. Just make sure you show her a good time,"
"You know I will," he winks and reached out his arms to Y/N. "Hey, you look beautiful," he smiles.
Jungkook who has been watching the whole thing quietly clenched his fist without realizing. When the fuck did Taehyung meet her? And she said yes to his invitation just like that?!
Y/N almost stop mid way when she saw Jungkook and Adora at the hallway. Taehyung only asks her out to dinner, he didnt say its a double date! She almost turned back but Taehyung already approached her.
"Hey, you look beautiful," he smiles.
"H-hi Tae," she blushes shyly and start fussing with her simple sundress the moment she saw both Taehyung and Jungkook in a suit and Adora in a enchantingly beautiful dress, no doubt designer. What the hell is she thinking? She accepted Kim Taehyung's invitation , one of the most sought after heir there is, yes she googled, and she thinks her sundress is good enough? "I - uh I didnt know Jungkook-ssi and Miss Adora is coming too," she leans in and whisper to him. "I think I'm under dress,"
Taehyung laughs.
"You look very beautiful Y/N," he reached out and hold her hand, making her feel hot all over. "She does right?" He beams at the other two. Adora quickly link her arms with her. "You do! It doesnt really matter what you wear Y/N!" Adora leans in closer to her. "Especially not when Kim Taehyung keeps on looking at you like that," she winks, making Y/N blush ever more.
Jungkook who heard what Adora said felt her whole face heat up. That little- urghhh.
"Come on Kookie. Lets go. Lets drive our own car and leave the lovebirds alone," Adora giggles and link arms with Jungkook. Jungkook looks up to see Y/N's reaction to what Adora said. Surely she must felt something. Just this morning they were still texting each other! But what he sees when he looks up is Taehyung staring at her, smiling shamelessly and Y/N staring back, smiling shyly.
This date night is going to be a loooong night.
/////
Things were going well between Y/N and Taehyung. After that surprisingly comfortable and not at all awkward date night, they have gotten closer. Taehyung spend a lot of time at Adora's house now. Main excuse being he is Jungkook's best man and he have to be there, but with all the dismissal Adora kept giving her when Taehyung is around, everyone knows the real reason Taehyung is around.
Still, seeing Jungkook and Adora together still hurts her sometimes. Seeing him laugh with her, joking around. Y/N knows they dont love each other, but the comfortable level and chemistry they have with one another, after being friends since they were born, makes her jealous sometimes. She can see the real side of Jungkook whenever she came in to serve them dinner or tea, or help Adora with some of her things. She can see what a dork he really is, despite his label of being a wild, party man. She can see that hes funny, caring, competitive and he has a love for food like no other. And all this little things only makes her fall for him even more, despite Taehyung being the sweetheart he is around her.
But Jungkook is Adora's fiancee, and nothing can change that. Plus, Jungkook refuses to be associated with her, cant be associated with her, the maid. So maybe its best that she stick to her plan to leave after the wedding.
/////
"Hey, that engagement tea party you are having with Dora, you dont mind if I bring Y/N right?" Taehyung asks as they were having drinks together. Jungkook felt his heart boiled everytime Taehyung mentioned her name. Its bad enough that he can only see her during the short minutes she came in to serve them food, but she isnt even replying to any of his texts or answer his calls anymore. He misses her, although he knows its his fault for not saying anything when they came face to face.
"Sure. But wont she need to work or something? She works for Dora you know," Jungkook tries to act nonchalant. The whole reason why he wanted to host the party at Adora's house is because he hope to see Y/N, even if its only glimpses of her. The closer he is to the wedding, the more anxious he becomes.
"I'm sure Dora would give her an exception. She seems ro be very supportive of our relationship," Taehyung smiles.
"So... what are you two now? Like boyfriend girlfriend or something?" Jungkook acts line he doesnt care about the answer although his heart is screaming for Taehyung to just answer the damn question.
"Well...no," Taehyung answer and take a sip of his drink, as Jungkook felt relieved with the answer. "But I hope that would change, real soon," he smiles. "Like real soon. Like tea party soon?"
"What do you mean?"
"I think I want to ask her to be my girlfriend, at your engagement party," Taehyung grind and took out a box from his pocket, which opens up to a beautiful ring. "Its romantic right? Asking her to go steady with me at an engagement party?"
"A ring?" Jungkook eyed the ring carefully, in his heart he knows he would buy Y/N something much better than that if hes given a chance, "dont you think thats too much just to ask her to be your girlfriend? You are not asking her to marry you. Right?" Jungkook asks nervously. Taehyung laughs.
"Of course not. But being extra is what we are all about Kookie. I know she dont care about all this material shit, and thats why I love her, but I want her to know shes special. You k-"
"Wait, love her?" Jungkook sits up from his leaning position.
"Well..." Taehyung grins sheepishly. "I know its just a month Kookie... but I think I love her. Ive never met anyone like her,"
Jungkook tries to calmed down his heart, his hand shaking from wanting to punch Taehyung right in the face. The worst part is, he knows how that feels. Because he too, admitted to himself a long time ago, that he is head over heels in love with Y/N. But he ruined everything didnt he?
/////
I'll be right back okay?" Taehyung kisses her hands and smile before heading off to meet someone in a suit. Must be one of his business partner or something. Y/N nods and smile and stood at the most glamourous tea party she has ever attended. Well, the only tea party she ever attended. Who host tea parties nowadays anyway? But the fabulousness of the party is expected from Adora. Feeling awkward standing on her own, Y/N make her way to a more secluded part of the garden after observing that Taehyung will most probably take a long time. She sat down at the bench and closes her eyes, inhaling the fresh air, thinking about what her life have becomes. How did she managed to catch Kim Taehyung's eyes? He is not playing her is he?
"I can see that you are enjoying the lifestyle of rich and famous,"
Y/N eyes popped open to the voice and as expected, stood right in front of her, Jeon Jungkook with a cocky smile. She immediately stood up and start to walk away.
"Where are you going? Cant take the truth?" Jungkook mocked. What is he implying? That she is using Taehyung for his riches? Y/N turns around, glaring at her.
"What do you want Jungkook-ssi?"
"Jungkook-ssi?" Jungkook laughs. "Dont you think we have moved past that? Especially when my fiancee told me that you told her you met someone incredible at the party few months back. Im assuming thats me?"
Y/N rolled her eyes.
"So what? You are here to gloat? I was dumb back then. It was a mistake. You are obviously not who I thought you were. I thought you were different, but you are not," Y/N sighed. "Is that all?"
"So Taehyung is?" Jungkook look straight into her eyes, face serious.
"H-he-" his question took her by surprise.
"Is Taehyung different then Y/N? Is he everything you ever wanted then? Is he able to erase all your memories of me? Of us?" Jungkook took a step closer to her. Y/N felt her breathing starts to goes rapid and tries to calm down. Jungkook still has this effect on her.
"T-taehyung is a good man. Hes kind, handsome, nice, a gentleman, a romantic, he treats me good, he kno-"
"But do you love him?"
"W-what?" Y/N panics. How could Jungkook asks her that.
"Do you. Love. Him?" Jungkook repeated the question more seriously and took a step forward.
"I-I," she panics. "How can I answer that? Its only been a month since we met!"
"But you were in love with me within a month that we met," Jungkook closes the gap and held both her wrists, whispering close to her face.
"I was not!"
"Yeah.. you are," he smirks, face only inches from hers.
"N-no, I wasnt!"
"You are Y/N, in fact, you are still in love with me now," he smirks more.
"I am definitely not!" She tries to squirm as he gets closer.
"Yeah?" Jungkook smirks and closes the gap, his lips on her, tounge asking permission for more which Y/N immediately granted as she closes her eyes as his lips touched hers.
The kiss felt like it lasted forever when Jungkook finally pull away and look into her eyes, whispering. "I love you Y/N. As much as you love me, I love you more,"
Y/N felt tears prickled her eyes. She wanted to hear those words from him from the first day she realized her feelings. But now that she did... she knows they can never be.
"Please, choose me. Dont choose Tae. Choose me," Jungkook said softly, begging. Y/N closes her eyes, the tears she tried to blink back finally rolled out. "Please?"
"I-" she sobs. "I always have been choosing you Jungkook," she answered back, barely a whisper. "But will you... ever be able to choose me?"
Jungkook was surprised by her answer, eyes widening. Y/N lets out a half smile and released herself from his grip.
"Just... go away Jeon Jungkook. For real this time," she wipe her tears and ran off into the party before Jungkook can say anything.
/////
"Hey, you okay? Where did you go? I was looking all over for you," Taehyung greeted her, smiling. Y/N smile back and looks at him. Such the perfect guy. "Whats wrong? Anything wrong with my face?"
Y/N smile. "No Tae," she grazed his face. "You are perfect,"
"Yeah? Well, in that case, I have something to ask you," he smile and take her to a water fountain in the park, already decorated with fairy lights, her favorite. He sat her down and kneeled in front of her, hands holding both of hers. "Y/N? I know we just met. But I want you to know that Ive never felt this happy as this one month that I am with you. And at first... I wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend today..."
Y/N's mouth gaped open, surprised.
"But..." Taehyung continues. "I realized that that wasnt enough for me. I know its too fast and we dont have to do it right away, you can take all the time you need, but Y/N please say yes. Please Y/N... will you... uh..." Taehyung looks utterly nervous as he smile and looks into her eyes."Will you do the honors of being my wife?"
/////
Taehyung smiles and fix his best friend's bowtie. Jungkook looks emotionlessly at his reflection in the mirror.
"Its your wedding day Kookie, why do you look like a zombie?" Taehyung asks and smile. Jungkook tries to flash a small smile but failed. He chase after Y/N that day at the party. It took him a few minutes to realized that he dont care what his parents will say, he dont care what society will say, he dont care what Adora or Taehyung will think of him. He dont care about money or status. He never did. It was all what his parents put inside his head. All he cares about right now is that Y/N knows that he chooses her. And he will keeps on choosing her. He wants to be with her. He knows he will be his happiest as long as Y/N is with him. But the few minutes he took is a few minutes too late. The moment he found her, all he can see is Taehyung kneeling down in front of her, smiling, the ring box opened and presented to her.. asking Y/N to marry him.
To marry him.
Jungkook immediately turns back and ran out from the party before she can answer. He dont need to hear it. He already knows that happiness will never ever again be his.
And now its one week later, he is in his wedding suit, about to get married to his childhood bestfriend, and the man who get the girl of his dreams, his best man.
"I just want to get today over and done with Tae," he sighed.
"Kookie," Taehyung turned serious. "You know... if you dont want to marry Dora, you can just tell your parents you know? Sure, they love their money and status but they love you more. Trust me," he smiles.
"Whats the point Tae?" Jungkook gave a small smile. Whats the point when Y/N is marrying you?
"The point is for you to be happy and do what you truly want Kookie,"
"Theres nothing else that I want Tae. Happiness? Happy?" He scoff. "That was never meant for me. And I deserved it. After all the hearts I break, I deserved this fate," Jungkook sighed. "Now just stop with your pep talk and lets get me married okay?" Jungkook look at his relfection one last time and start walking side by side with Taehyung down the aisle.
"Hey Kookie?" Taehyung leans in and whisper. "Its not too late you know," he grins. Jungkook looks at him, confused.
"What are you talking about?"
"Y/N. She said no," he smiles. "She said no to my proposal,"
////
"Stop whatever the hell you are doing!" Jungkook yells out at Y/N who is climbing up the bus.
"J-jungkook? What are you doing here?"
Jungkook rushed over and pull her down and signal the driver to drive away after slipping him some cash. "You are just going to leave? You are just goimg to bail on Adora's wedding?!"
"Jungkook," she sighed. "Im just the maid. I didnt think I was even invited. Afterall, I really dont want to be there,"
"Fine. But I'm sorry, I cant let you leave," Jungkook grab her bag and start walking to his car thats parked nearby, hoping Y/N will follow, which she did.
"Jungkook, stop! Give me back my bag! What is wrong with you?! What else do you want from me?!" Y/N is frustrated. He made her miss the bus now she have to spend more money to buy another ticket, something she dont have a lot of.
"What else I want from you?!" Jungkook frowns and turns around, his face serious. "I want you to stay! I dont want you to leave!"
"Why?!" Y/N screamed. "Isnt this what you want? For a maid to no longer bothers you and your friends? Just give me back my bag and leave me alone!"
"You dont know what I want Y/N..." he growls.
"Fine! Then what the hell do you want?!" Y/N never cursed but shes done being nice.
"I want you to marry me,"
"See? You only care about yourself you selfish jerk! Yo- wait, what?" Y/N's eyes widen, finally realizing what he said. Jungkook grins.
"Done yelling at your future husband?" He laughs and closes the gap between them. "I love you Y/N. I made a mistake. A real stupid mistake. And I realized that a little too late. You make the richest man I could ever be, and without you, I am nothing. I am the saddest, poorest man ever lived. But Y/N, marry me and let me spend the rest of our lives making it up to you, making you the happiest woman alive, just as happy as you made me. Please?" He showed her his innocent doe eyes, making Y/N laugh through her tears.
"I-is this for real?"
"Its as real as it can get baby. You dont have to forgive me baby. But please, just marry me,"
"Adora?"
"Oh, lets just say, she totally approved of us," Jungkook winks. "So... is that a yes?"
"Hmmm... what was the question again?"
Jungkook laughs and kneels down, taking out a box from his pocket that housed the biggest and most beautiful diamond Y/N has ever seen.
"L/N Y/N, will you marry me? Please?" Jungkook smile. And in the middle of a deserted bus stop, Y/N said the one word that will change her life forever.
"Yes,"
/////
Jungkook didnt even remember walking down to the end of the aisle. He didnt even remember seeing Adora walked down the aisle. After Taehyung's confession, that is all he can think about.
"Go,"
"Huh?"
"Go Kookie. Y/N is leaving today. Go find her. Now," she smiles.
"But Dora... what about-"
"Us?" Adora laughs. "Kookie, we will always be bestfriends. You know that. And how do you expect to spend the rest of your life with me when we cant even agree on what to have for dinner? Afterall, our families will still be the biggest empire, married to each other or not. Go get her Kookie, I'll handle our parents,"
"H-how about you?" Jungkook's brows furrowed.
"Lets just say," she looks behind him at Taehyung whos smiling back at her and smile, "the one month I spent with Tae to plan your happy ending with Y/N might lead to my own happy ending with my dream guy too," she winks.

The day was long. You had three surgeries and a shift in the Nicu. 12 hours straight of caring for 27 tiny humans when your child is in the same hospital and your three other children are doing dangerous things that could put them here as well. Walking around the warm room checking heart beats, monitors, and colour. Making sure that each baby survives the night. You were holding one of the healthiest babies singing softy.
âUltimately I donât understand a thing
I try to do the best I can
I know you try to do the sameâ
When you looked up so saw Tim standing at the sliding glass door. Putting the little boy back in his âbedâ you ealked over to the incom.
âTim, what are you doing here?â You asked pressing the red button
âIm just watching, I wanted to get a grip on what you doâ
The smile that appeared when he said that fadded when a fast pace beebing intupted the silence
âOhhh, no no no no noâ

You did everything you could when you finally had to call it
âTime of death 1:53 amâ
Walking out of the Nicu you sighed when you went to the desk to grab papers filling them out and grabing your phone. Your son watched as you called the familyâ
âHi, doctor Wayne here, Im very sorry we did everything we could but Saiges heart failed. You can come see her if you would likeâ
âWe will be right thereâ
âOk again I am so sorryâ
Sitting down you finished of the paperwork
âMomâ a small voice that came out of Tim was slightly heartbreaking âWhat happenedâ
You stoped thinking for a good answer âShe didnt make it through the night, that happens alot in my specialtyâ
âOhâ
Tim sat next to you. He had one of his very serious faces on âhow do you do it?â
âDo what timmy ?â He stoped like you had looking for the proper way to word his thoughts âthis job, all of these kids dyingâ you didnât hesitate to answer âI think how luck I am that my four sons are healthyâ
Tim smiled as he watched you page an resident when she arrived you told her everything she had to do and when to page you. Finally you smiled as you and Tim walked back to his room
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
âHailey present pleaseâ
âTim Wayne 16, last day of post opâ
âVery good lets move peopleâ
Y/n lead her team away. Walking to the next room she instructed them to finish rounds without her. Walking up to a desk y/n grabbed some papers as she walked back to Her sons room. She sat down filling out the papers as Tim was on his laptop
âOk Tim pack it up we are going homeâ
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had been at work for almost a week straight and weâre finally at home for your days off. Spending all of your time with your family you relaxed. On your last day of freedom you went to the roof of wayne mannor looking out on the night sky. Going to bed way to early you got up and eat breakfast with your family.
âOk im off to workâ you spoke getting up to kiss everyones head â I dont want anyone else showing up at my hospital hurtâ
They all nodded their heads indicating they understood. You started walking to the door. When you Damians voice stoped you, âcan we come to watch you work?â
âOf course, but I dont think you will injoy itâ
Tim interjected âof course we will, your job is amazing!â That out the biggest smile in your face because before you felt like you children felt unloved because of how many hour you had to work. This made you feel better.

"(y/n)?" Iwaizumi's voice sounded strained, tired even, as he spoke to you through his phone's mouthpiece. You ask what was bothering him on such a fine weekend afternoon.Â
"It's been... bugging me for days now, it's such a pain in the ass."Â
You hum, taking your time chewing the chips you've put in your mouth. You were binge watching movies on your free day when he called. "Well, you know, that isn't really part of my job. But congratulations on devirginizing your ass, I guess."Â
Iwaizumi stutters, and you could clearly see the image of horror and embarrassment on his face in your mind. "T-That's not what I meant!" He clears his throat, before continuing. "Just... I feel like playing again. And I think I've become rusty for the past year."
He hears you gasp, and he wasted no more time in setting a meeting place before completely hanging up on you.
Warmth spreads throughout your chest at his sudden call and the reason why he wanted to meet up suddenly made you giddy.Â
You and Iwaizumi go a long way backâway back middle school. By the time you graduated from college, he finally got accepted to play and be part of the National team. So you mustered enough courage and confidence, gathered some experience before applying for the team's physical therapist.
Luckily though, you got hired, and even received compliments from the coach saying that they have never seen the players perform to "such an extent".
It was a fun experience, the team had a great run during those times but one day, Iwaizumi decided to quit. Until now, you never knew why, but soon after he did, you also bid farewell to the team and began working in hospitals or nursing facilities.
So hearing that he wanted to play again set you in a good mood; you even start rummaging through your old files for the training regimen you used to give him, and brought it along with you.
You passed by a convenience store, grabbed two bottles of a light alcoholic drink, the celebratory mood getting to you.
Until you felt utter disappointment, confusion, and even a little annoyed at seeing who was there on the bench, waiting.
"(y/n)-chan~!"Â
It was him.Â
You suddenly wished that aliens were real so they could just take him.Â
"You still call me that? Stop it. Where's Hajime?" You still weren't sitting, tempted to throw the bottles to his good-looking face before he could answer your question.Â
Oikawa pouted, scooting over to make space beside him for you on the bench. "First name basis? You two that close already?"Â
You didn't even try to understand the underlying tones that statement had. "None of your business. Now if you're not gonna tell me where he is, I'm gonna have to leave. Nice seeing you,"Â
As you turned around to leave, Oikawa stops you by saying, "I had him call you so we could meet here. So obviously, he's not coming."Â
You hesitated, but with a deep sigh, you wordlessly made your way to the bench, placing all the stuff you brought between you and the brunette. He looks down at what you did, and when you weren't looking at him, Oikawa pops open both bottles with a little trick, trying not to smile that you decided to stay. He places your drink next to you, as he holds his own and takes a sip.
Oikawa just looks at you in silence, as your eyes focus on the red spider lilies before you; lined in a straight path, some surrounding the tree nearby. Both your face and his was unreadable, and when you couldn't bear the silence much longer, you took a breath before speaking.
"You didn't have to do that." your eyes narrowed, still refusing to look at Oikawa.Â
"Do what?" the way he was feigning innocence got on your nerves a bit but you decided to settle things as mature as adults could be.
"...this whole thing, making Hajime set this up. There's actually, absolutely, no need for it."
"I just need an excuse to hang out with you." He answered immediately, gauging your reaction. Oikawa takes another sip of his drink, "It's been a while since we last talked, (y/n)-chan. I tried texting or calling you but I figured you probably changed numbers."
You bit your bottom lip, looking down on your feet. You take a single gulp of the alcohol and leaned back on your seat, trying to at least relax and feel more comfortable in your own space.
"Why? Felt bored?" You finally spare him a quick glance, and your ex had a long leg over the other, both hands now inside the pockets of his jersey jacket. There was a small flag of Japan by the chest and only then did you remember that he was now also a member of the volleyball National team; perhaps even their captainâyou didn't know. Ever since leaving the team, you didn't bother catching up to any news about them.Â
When Oikawa didn't answer your question, you mumble, "I heard... you were doing good."Â
He shrugs, "More or less... and you?" The brunette sighs, scratching the back of his head. He turned to you with a slight pout, which you couldn't tear your eyes off of. "Why are we talking like we have sticks up our asses? Iwa-chan sure is rubbing off on you real good." Oikawa whines, his nose stuck in the air after grunting.Â
You didn't know why but you found it ridiculous, that you were reminded of the times when you were younger. A chuckle escapes your lips, making his brows raise at your sudden reaction. "God, are you six or something? Trying to be all cute and whiny?"
Oikawa smirks, "So first it's 'nice seeing you'; and now you're saying I'm cute? (y/n)-chan, I'm very flattered. But there's no need to tell me what I already know." He even had the audacity to wink at you and stick his tongue out.
You lightly punch his shoulder, rolling your eyes at his display of narcissism. "Hah, some things... really don't change."Â
Oikawa's short burst of playful attitude came to a progressive stop, his calm demeanor slowly resurfacing. "Yeah... guess you could say that."
He then rummages through the files you brought along for Iwaizumi, and he hums in acknowledgment. "So you did become a PT." Oikawa was mumbling to himself, and you didn't even try to take back the folder he was holding.Â
'It's better to have minimal physical contact as much as possible.'
You notice his brows scrunching together, and assumed that he was trying to read through the small fonts you used, as Oikawa wasn't wearing his glasses. But what you didn't know was that he was actually glaring at Iwaizumi's photo.
He returns the folder to you, "Think you can be my therapist?" Then, his other hand pats his bad knee thrice.
The question caught you off-guard; just as quick as the good memories flashed by, the bad and painful ones that replaced it were the hardest to ignore. It triggered the memory that began the downfall of your relationship with Oikawa.
See, you and him had made the relationship work through some similarities and despite of your differences.
You were understanding and supportive of his passion and commitment to his volleyball career. You went to his games and cheered him on no matter the results were; when you had free time, you'd wait until night for him to be done with practice. Meanwhile, he never felt as though you were dragging him down; he even learned to appreciate classic rom-coms because of you and had some of your favorites next to his sci-fi stash; and of course, he fueled the drive you had for achieving your dreams of becoming a doctor.
The amount of selfies you've taken with him is unreal; your gallery also full of memes you both send to Iwaizumi even during dead hours of the night. You hated his gut sometimes, and he doesn't like it when even you nag at him; you were both stubborn, had a little pride here and thereâbut you knew you felt the happiest when with him, and he always told you that he felt the same.
College came. You were in different universities, but was in the same one as Iwaizumi's. When you were still a freshman, you still had some time to spare; meet up after practice, or him waiting for your class to end.Â
It was interesting: you knew one way or another, a match between your university and his would be inevitable.
And Oikawa's team always won.Â
But as the semesters went on, both of you spent less and less time together, talked more on occasion than how it used to be.Â
For you that was fine, you understood that careers must be prioritized than relationships because both of you were at that age which would decide your individual futures.Â
Sometimes you'd get jealous at some of your friends when they're gushing about their own adventures in the romance department that you even mockingly ask yourself if you're actually single.
The relationship just came to a point where you felt like you were the only one trying, making it an effort to meet or hang out.
You had to admit to yourself: it was tiring. And all these, you had no choice but to rant it all out on Iwaizumiâwhich was part of the reason why you two became much closer. It was completely platonic for you though, no doubt about that.
There was a particular match, you finally had some spare time from your busy schedule and brain-draining program, that you managed to watch it. Though, you were a little late, having arrived halfway through.Â
Every step you took closer to the stands, the more you became eager to feel the rush of adrenaline through your veins, of having your throat going dry from screaming and cheeringâ
But you didn't expect that you'd instead have to swallow a lump in your throat and push back tears.Â
When you arrived, the first thing you saw was your boyfriend, Oikawa, lying on the floor of the court, clutching his knee, teeth gritted, sweat and probably some tears on his pained face. And Iwaizumi, on the other side of the net, frozen in shock at what was happening to his bestest friend.
Next thing you knew, you were in the hospital.
It was a bad fall they said.
Probably the court was too slippery. A little misstep.
The worst was that maybe it was the beginning of the end of his career.Â
The following days, weeks, weren't really the best. You could say bad things turned to worse things.Â
The doctor was a bit too pessimistic for your liking, saying that Oikawa might never be able to use that knee again for volleyball, post-surgery.Â
"Since when did you know about this? Was it after the Karasuno match? Or during your freshman year in college? Tooru... please..." you asked him, as he stared ahead at the wall, the usual cheerful dork now seemed to have aged ten more years at the hurtful words of his own doctor.Â
Oikawa didn't answer. He didn't know how to answer and he felt that everything came crashing down as he began building his walls higher, keeping everything and everyone outâeven you.
You reached out to caress his knee, and you noted the flinch he made under your touch. "Hey... I know it's hard right now, but... trust me, I don't think what the doctor said was true." You pursed your lips; still no reaction from him.Â
"I mean... this is why rehabilitation medicine exists! I believe that this could still be worked on and you'll be in your best state in a few month's time, Tooru." You were speaking from your little therapist-to-be heart, the passion, the blood, sweat and tears you've shed so far serving as fuel to strengthen your resolve in wanting to help heal your boyfriend.
You pulled your hand away when Oikawa let out a scoff.Â
He gave you a ridiculing look, "What do you know? I don't see you having any problem with your knee."
"T-Tooru... Iâ"
"Why? Just because you're a student now, you honestly think you could be my therapist?"
Were you hurt? Very. But then there was a voice in your head saying that Oikawa was in much more pain than you could imagine. And so you waited. Patiently. Diligently.Â
You didn't want to let him see you crumble at his mere words that only stemmed from his self-loathing. This isn't him, this isn't him. It was your new mantra.Â
You could only take so much.Â
You still end up crying it out on Iwaizumi. He was able to provide you with the head space you could breathe in. You didn't realize that Oikawa could sense this. That was your mistake, you knew that but only after the split.
"Why don't you leave me alone? All I see from you now is pity. Guess what, (y/n), I don't need any of that from you. Right? I don't make you happy anymore right? You think I didn't know you've already found someone better?"Â
This was his mistake.Â
The memory of your tears, of your trembling hands, and voice breakingâstill stung in his mind.Â
"Not once did I pity you, Tooru, because that's not what you need. All this time, I've endured every word you hurled at me like I'm your least favorite person in the world." You sniffed, swallowed.Â
"But if that's what's going to make you better, make you happierâthen I'll go. I hope you understand how much I've exceeded my limits, only for you to throw me out over and over again."
You gripped hard on the doorknob, and said your final words. "And leave Iwa-kun out of this. I didn't think you would actually doubt a friend and your own girlfriend." You bitterly smile, causing the tears that pooled in your lids to fall.
"Maybe I was wrong to assume that I could become your stronghold through this. I'm sorry for disappointing you, Tooru. Get well soon,"
"And we never talked after that." he murmured, eyes reddening, jaw clenched in an attempt to fight his own tears from falling.Â
And you?
You've downed half of your bottle in one go.Â
You refuse to look at him because you knew your heart's wounds would reopen and be like onions to your eyes. You let the alcohol spread to make you numb. More, more, you said.
"It's embarrassing but... since you left I have no one to talk to. The days I spent in the hospital was a lot bearable when you used to visit me."Â
You took another swig of the alcohol. Another bitter smile on your lips more bitter than what was burning your throat. "Then don't talk to me now like you're coming back."
"Don't you want me back?"
Your heart ached at his question. You bit your lip, sniffing, trying to find the right answerâyour heart wanted yes, but your mind wanted no. "Did I even mean anything to you? Was that all I was to youâjust another person you could talk to?"
Oikawa winced at your words. "(y/n), IâI... of course not! You're worth more than that to me!" there was a shaky exhale, and a quick intake of air right after. You figured that he was choking on his own fought back sobs. "I... I'm sorry but I just miss you so, so, so much."
This time, you tried looking him in the eyeâand all you could see was a mirror of your own pain. His ears were already red, indicating the emotions he was holding back on youâa trait of his that you can't seem to forget.
"There's a difference between missing someone and missing having someone, Oikawa." He flinched at how much you tried to put distance between the two of you for calling him that way. Oikawa tried to answer but you continued, "I, for one, miss you because I..." you gasped, letting the tears stream down your face. "Because I never stopped loving you, Tooru."
Oikawa was frozen in his seat, watching you as you harshly wiped tear streaks from your face, finishing your drink then gathering your things and standing up to leave. You quickly walked away without looking back, and that was the only time the brunette finally found how to move his limbs. He was so at a loss that he forgot his own unfinished drink on the bench.
"W-Wait, (y/n)-chan! (y/n)," Oikawa chased after you, unable to control his own strength once he grabbed your arm, making all your things fall to the grass. You pull your arm away but he holds you by the shoulders.
"Why are you leaving? I'm not going to push you away anymore, (y/n)." His grip on you got tighter, as if he was restraining himself from pulling you close to him and capturing your body in his.Â
You look down, avoiding his stare, seeing red spider lilies once more by your feet where your things were scattered.Â
His hands slide down to grasp your hands in his. They're still as warm as I remember them to be.Â
"...Real feelings don't just go away."
"So why did you let me leave?" Your lips trembled, voice coming out in a whisper, voice cracking in the end.Â
"(y/n), I know that what I did and said was wrong. I let my pride get in the way between us; I let my sadness eat me away." His hands were shaking now, a bit sweaty too. He sniffed, "You saw the messed up parts of me and stayed. But I was a jerk, a big asshole, for pushing you away. It was selfish of me... I... I didn't see that my in-actions would cause us to fall apart."
To your surprise, he pulled you in, burying his face near the crook of your neck. You could feel something wet seep into your shirt. "My biggest mistake was thinking IÂ could live without you."
"But... I can see you're doing well now without me. Because you only waited this long to try and reach me? Why now when you could've done it before?"Â
Oikawa hugs you tighter, shaking his head. "I just don't want to lose you; not again, not anymore. I love you (y/n), I never did stop."
Soon, he pulls away, eyes searching yours. You look up at him, and he wipes the tears from your face. "Can I be selfish one last time? Please give me another chanceâI'll make it up to you."
You all but gently removed his touch from yours, and suddenly the air around you grew cold.Â
"Tooru, I... I love you, I miss you, I forgive you. It was nice meeting you but... I don't think I'm ready to open my heart for you again. Maybe not now. Maybe not ever. Because I've made up my mind long ago to love you from afar."
You smiled softly and used the back of your hand to wipe his tears. Then, you stood on your tiptoes and placed a peck to his nose before turning away.Â
Oikawa could only watch in silence at your retreating figure, wondering if this was the best thing for one or both of you. Everything now was even more unsure for him; except for the fact that a new-found determination sprang in his chest.Â
Oikawa Tooru was going to win your heart back, no matter what it takes.

MIDDLEBOROUGH MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
Three teenagers stand in a decaying museum carpark in the middle of the night. The only sign of life in sight is a depressing brick planter in the middle, and even that looks like it's been dead for years.Â
The teens, however, aren't paying attention to any of that, instead crowding around a doorway. The one with a red streak in his hair is fiddling with the padlock, the girl in a denim jacket is hugging a duffle bag to her chest, and the only boyâhoodie covered with patchesâ checks a map over and over again, almost crushing it in his hands. They all seem like they're on the brink of falling apart. The denim-jacket girl looks like she's just been crying. The hoodie boy turns to her, and the camera can barely pick up his words.Â
HOODIE BOY: It's going to be okay, Christine.Â
He doesn't sound sure of himself. Christine doesn't seem too convinced, either. She picks at the strap of the duffle bag. The boy puts an awkward hand on her shoulder, and she doesn't remove it.Â
The kid with the dyed hair swings the door open, revealing an emergency staircase. The stairs are cloaked in darkness, their destination unknown.Â
The three enter, and descend.Â
--
SECURITY CAMERA #6
The three teens make their way through a gallery. The paint is ornate, the hardwood floor shining, and it's almost too dark to see. The hoodie boy illuminates the way with his phone flashlight, a harsh blue glow. The exhibits stare back at them. The statues of the Virgin Mary seem like they're alive, eyes following the teens as they walk and judging them silently. Mocking them. Even the angels with their heads bowed in prayer look ghostly in the dim light, shadows crossing their faces at odd angles. Each statue in the gallery thrums with malice.Â
They begin to speak softly. The dyed-hair kid has a noticeable lisp.Â
KID WITH LISP : If I only wasâ
CHRISTINE: It's not your fault, Rich.Â
RICH: I could have stopped them. I was right there. And now he's maybe dying or dead orâŠÂ
HOODIE BOY: Don't say that.Â
RICH: You saw the video, Michael. We all saw the video.
MICHAEL: We have the money. We have the bail. They won't hurt him.
Christine stares at her Converse. Rich looks at Michael. Michael looks at Rich. Michael casts a glance around at the figures. The praying angels, the Virgin Mary.Â
RICH: Are you religious?Â
MICHAEL: Not really. One of my mothers was raised Catholic, though.
CHRISTINE: No.
RICH: Me neither.
RICH: I suppose we should pray anyway.
They come to the end of the religious art gallery, and arrive at a crossroads. Two doors, two different galleries. Michael consults the map.Â
MICHAEL: Hang a left.
They walk out of view.
--
SECURITY CAMERA #7
Rich casts his gaze up to an abstract painting on the wall, red and green paints laid down on the canvas in heavy, sweeping strokes, a blaze of colour and anger trapped in a golden frame. It seems to remind him of something, and he lingers there for a moment. Michael and Christine stop too, and they stand there, three teenagers looking very small in the opulent gallery. Michael presses Christineâs hand into his. And they arenât admiring the picture, not really, they are simply standing together, united in their fear. After a few moments, Michael checks his watch, and then the map. He speaks quietly.
MICHAEL: So. Next gallery. Landscapes. Heâs in there. Christine-
CHRISTINE: I have the $600.
Rich takes a deep breath. He goes to the door. Reaches forward. Pulls the handle. Moonlight streams in, casting a block of rectangular light over the gallery. There are so many questions, and theyâre just waiting to be answered, beyond the door. Questions like: Is he alive? Is this our fault? Is this his fault? Are they going to take us too? What was this all about? They hesitate.
MICHAEL: If we die, ask Jenna to clear my search history for me.
The three teenagers exit. They close the door behind them. The museum is silent for a few minutes.
Then someone begins to cry.

MIDDLEBOROUGH POLICE POST
Two men stand at an instant coffee machine. One carries some files in his hand, labeled crime scene, evidence, suspects. He looks exhausted. The other, nursing a steaming cup, notices this.
OFFICER #1: You had the murder case this morning.Â
OFFICER #2: Yes.
OFFICER #1: It was bad, wasn't it?Â
OFFICER #2: It was bloody, all right. There were three other kids thereâ I donât know why they were there, the museum hadnât even opened yetâ and they couldnât have been more than sixteen. The girl kept crying, saying Iâm sorry, I was too late. Her hands and dress were stained red. We had to pull her away.
OFFICER #1: Oh. Are they okay?
OFFICER #2: They all seemed to know him. Two of them said that they were his friends. The other said that he knew the victim from school.Â
OFFICER #2: One of the boysâhis friend wanted his jacket. It was blue to match his red one, and they had matching patches they'd embroidered on. It was so hard to watch the kid cry, but I had to tell him no. Can't tamper with evidence.Â
He sighs. Rifles through his files. He takes out a Polaroid of a red footprint, a plastic sign next to it. Then a picture of a bloodstained light-up Hello Kitty sneaker. They both look at it for a moment. Then he puts it back in Evidence.
OFFICER #1: God, that must have been terrible. Say, do you want a drink? Something to take your mind off all this.Â
OFFICER #2: Thanks, but I have somewhere to be. I'll take you up on the offer after the interrogation has finished.Â
SECURITY CAMERA #23
An interrogation room. Austere. Rich sits across from the officer from earlier. His arms are crossed.Â
OFFICER #2: Iâm sorry.
Rich doesnât reply. He looks at his hands like they have blood on them.Â
OFFICER #2: You knew Jeremy, right?Â
Rich laughs, low, raspy, bitter. A voice hoarse from tears.Â
RICH: I failed him.Â
OFFICER #2: Say again?Â
RICH: I was the one who got him into this mess in the first place. I escaped unscathed, and he was the one who bore the consequences. I should have beenâ
OFFICER #2: Slow down, kid. Deep breaths. When you're ready, you can tell me the whole story, okay? We need to know the truth. Can you do that?
RICH: Sure.
He pauses, searching for something to say.Â
RICH: It started in my freshman year.Â

Magnus Bane X Warlock!Reader
Part one
"Should we tell Magnus?" Isabelle asked her brother. They'd mulled over the case all night, thinking of different theories about where (Y/N) was and why. Going over files was normally tedious but the little clues they found every few pages kept their interest. Soon the pile was sky high. Alec looked up from the stove. he'd offered to make breakfast, not wanting to be poisoned by Isabelle, before they went to follow up some clues. "Maybe. I'm not sure. This might not go anywhere, I don't want him to get his hopes up," The pancakes were ready, and Alec handed Izzy a plateful. "Yeah but," she started with the pancake in her mouth, "he'll know stuff we won't. Plus, they were in love," "Exactly. When Valentine took Jace I was distraught but I knew he was alive because we were parabatai. That kept me going. Now we're going to put Magnus through the same stress with no guarantee." Isabelle sighed, "It's just not right. I would want to know," It was too early for Alec to really care about anything, but this was getting to him, "We follow up some clues, first hint of something we'll call him. Deal?" "Deal."
It was somewhat expected that most of their clues would be duds. They were vague photos of someone who vaguely looked like (Y/N) from years ago. Most of the areas had either changed or been remodeled since or it was a landmark where no one would've remembered them. They decided a snack was well deserved so bit the bullet and got some street food. "I always think I'm going to die when I eat this," Alec said once they were out of the vendors hearing. Isabelle shrugged as she plopped on a bench, Alec follows, "At this point, I'd eat anything," It was a wonder to other females how Isabelle could eat so much and be that fit. "You got the files?" Alec pulled out what a mundane would describe as a flash drive and pressed a small button. Like in the institute a screen was lit up like a hologram they could swipe on. And like all their other tech the Mundanes couldn't see it. "We've checked clues A through H. the rest seem to be spread across the world. Malta, London, Tokyo, Morocco, basically everywhere," Isabelle squinted at the screen, "I don't get it. it's not like (Y/N) was discreet. Look, they're in full view in that one, not even trying to hide," Isabelle pointed to a photo of (Y/N) standing at some old bookshop seemingly looking right at the camera, "I just don't get it," Alec thought it over when something popped in his head, "What I don't get is why we're out here when this was Jace's idea," "Oh, he's trying to get permission from the clave to escalate the case," She rolled her eyes, "Clary said they were going out today so I think he might be lying," "Ya think?" Alec was anything if not sarcastic. "Where's the bookshop?" "Dunno. it just says Marvin's Books. No street or anything," "We must be missing something," Alec muttered, enhancing the photo and looking at every corner and pixel he could. "There, look." Isabelle did and shrugged, "Do you know any Mundanes with purple skin?" Isabelle looked closer and sure enough, there was an arm in the shop window, the rest of the body not in view. But the hand was purple. "Hey, that photo at the twin towers..." "Probably the same guy. Maybe if we find the bookshop," "Well it has to be an English speaking country because of the sign," Alec nodded along to Isabelle's thoughts "and the clothes are so 2005," Alec gave Izzy a look who shrugged it off. Izzy scanned the photo some more, "Zoom in on that bag," Alec did, "And that mundane looks like she's holding a target bag." "Must be America," "Yeah. So, 2005, America, some guy named Marvin." "It's a start,"
There's only so much Isabelle and Alec can do so they went back to the institute, running the photo of the bookshop against the institute's gallery. Thank angel you can filter by date and location otherwise it would've taken weeks. Instead just 3 days. Izzy groaned when she saw the estimate. "Look who decides to show up," Alec says as Jace and Clary walk past. Jace pauses with a grin, "You know how the clave is-" "You're lying. Isabelle said you and the little girl were going on a date. So you get to alphabetize the case files," Alec grabbed and chucked a huge file filled with random sheets of paper at Jace. Jace grimaced, "Why do we keep paper copies?" Alec shrugged, "To make you suffer?" he suggested. "So did you'd find anything?" Clary asked, too upbeat for Alec's liking. Isabelle groaned from in front of the screen, "Give this thing 3 days and maybe. Something about a bookshop, some guy names Marvin, 2005, and some guy with purple skin," Clary raised her eyebrows, "You asked." Isabelle turned to her brother, "Are we telling Magnus?" Internalizing the biggest sigh possible, Alec forced himself out his seat, "C'mon then," "You know there's no point in us all going," Jace said. "Jace unless you want me to hire decorators to turn your room into a duck wonderland I suggest you put your shoes back on," Jace scoffed. Isabelle didn't, "He's not kidding. Look we got bored," Isabelle clicked on a different tab and a Pinterest board of duck-themed bedrooms popped up. Jace shivered, "Bloodthirsty little beasts. Let's go then,"
The eldest lightwood was less than enthusiastic that Clary had joined them but said nothing. Well, nothing much. Isabelle talked to Clary about what outfit to were next time they went out and Jace held his arm protectively around Clary. So Alec thought about how to tell Magnus what they'd found. Hey Magnus your lovers not dead Sup Magnus? By the way, you're missing lover might've been kidnapped by some purple dude. Hi, Magnus. So you remember that lover that's been missing for almost 20 years and is probably our fault? Yeah, we found her! Turns out we just never looked in the first place. Or as Alec actually said when Magnus opened the door, "We found (Y/N). well, pictures at least," Alec needn't have said more before Magnus ushered them all in. "What do you mean?" The group shared a look at Magnus' desperation. "I don't care how...bad it is just tell me. I need to know," Isabelle stepped forward, "We found a picture of (Y/N) after they went missing. Couldn't have been taken before 2014," "Impossible. You must be wrong," Pulling out the flash drive, Izzy brought up the photo, "That museum wasn't built till 2014. They were alive then...maybe now," Magnus just stared at the image. "But-but if (Y/N) is alive, why haven't they came back?" The shadowhunters couldn't look him in the eye. Isabelle swiped through the photos "Some of them aren't very clear but look. (Y/N) has been all over the place. Every continent. The last photo was taken in 2015 outside of some shop in England," She swiped to the photo. "They have CTV in England," Magnus' eyes lit up as he spoke, "The whole place is covered in cameras," Alec sighed, "They get wiped every few months, let alone years." Magnus ran a hand through his hair, pulling at it, "Why are you showing me this?" Isabelle and Alec shared a  look, "We need your help." Isabelle told him. She went to the photo with the man with purple skin and horns, "He's been in a few photos. Well bits of him. This is the only one showing his face. Do you, do you recognize him?" Magnus stared at the photo, "I've met a lot of warlocks. Can't you check the system?" "They're not all on there. If other warlocks hiding them they tend to slip through the gaps," Alec said. "You think (Y/N) was hiding someone?" Alec hesitated but gave a single nod, "Theirs no way. They would've told me. (Y/N) was horrible at secrets, got all riled up over them." Magnus looked at the picture longer, "He looks...familiar?  As I said I've met a lot of people. Horns and purple skin aren't such a rarity. Hasn't he shown up in his own photos?" "Only with (Y/N)," Isabelle said. Jace suddenly seemed to realize something and grabbed Clary's satchel. "Hey!" She objected as Jace rummaged till he pulled out a file, "Jace!" "Sorry babe," he flicked through the file, "Here, it's some of the pictures of him," Jace handed Magnus a small stack of maybe 7 photos that had been printed, the first being the one of the man. Clary and Alec were both glaring at him, "One less thing to file," he murmured under his breath. Magnus shot him a quick glare, "I'll have a think on it," That pleased the shadowhunters. "Look if you think of anything, even not about these photos, call us yeah?" Alec said. "Of course. Anything to find (Y/N)," Magnus seemed to suddenly dislike shadowhunters again as he began to hustle them out the door. Alec hung back to check on him, "I'm...okay. Look its difficult. I've not seen a recent picture, I've not had this sort of hope. You need to give me time," Alec nodded, "Of course. But you know we're here for you?" Magnus nodded. Alec looked over his shoulder before saying in a quieter voice, "You helped me a lot when we first met. I was confused and in denial. I know we're on different sides but Magnus, you're a real friend," "I'm glad I could help Alexander," Magnus said, "Truly. No one should feel ashamed of what they are," "And you shouldn't be ashamed of feeling alone. If you need to talk," "I'll call," Magnus finished it for him. "Thank you. (Y/N) should see me now, being friends with a shadowhunter," They both gave a short laugh over that. "I'll see you later," "Bye Magnus," Alec walked down to meet his friends and Clary. Isabelle hung back, asking what that was about. "Just wanted him to know he isn't alone," "Does Alec have a crush?" Izzy teased. Alec rolled his eyes, "We've been over this. Sure he's cute but no," "Still hung up on you know who?" she nodded to the couple in front. "Nah. I'm young, apparently, I've been...seeing people." This statement led to a long and intense discussion on Izzy's part trying to find out who exactly.
Magnus watched from his balcony as the shadowhunters walked out of sight. Chairman brushed by his feet, reminding him to feed his cat. Magnus set a bowl of food down and went to sit on his couch. The photos sat discarded on the coffee table. The warlock picked the top one up with an expression only someone with too many memories could have. "What did you do Caleb?" Magnus whispered, staring at the infrit on the paper. Magnus snapped his finger and the strongest drink he could image showed up. He flung the photo back on the pile and leaned back into the couch, drink in hand. "You were always (Y/N)'s favorite rescue,"

MR VOORHEES Q&A PART 3: The Past, Present, and Future of Voorhees Glass.
The glass industry has grown exponentially over the last 5 years, with new artists, new techniques, and new colors. We felt it was necessary for the glass community to have some insight on the artists, and what drives their creative engines. It was always in my interest to learn more about an artist that has always had my attention, respect, and admiration. Mr. Voorhees has developed some of the most aesthetically pleasing, and incredibly functioning glass to date. He has never remained static, always pushing the boundaries of his work, and exploring multiple mediums to express his art. We were delighted to have the chance to ask him some questions about the past, present, and what we can expect from his future!
I feel like a good place to start would be simply how did you get into glassblowing, was it a window for your street art and paintings or did you start with a different medium such as graffiti, sketching, etc?
VRHS: I started making glass in 2004 with the help of Adam G who gave me the opportunity to try it out.. since I was a little kid, my dad was always drawing and painting and naturally I wanted to be like him.. thatâs where my drive to be an artist came from.
Thatâs awesome! So where were you born n raised, where did you start and where are you currently blowing glass?
VRHS: I was born and raised in Michigan, thatâs where I started.. now Iâm in Southern California, been here for the last few years.
So how did you begin the heads? were they originally modeled after anyone in particular?
VRHS: I always drew and painted faces of different types and when I started gathering the skills to sculpt glass it just started happening.. I was super inspired by the pieces I was seeing from Bearclaw and the faces he was making at the time also.. I give a lot of credit to him for the direction my glass went in the beginning. I was also very inspired by the work I saw from Martin Janeky and Ross Richmond, two amazing dog glass sculptors.
Thatâs an excellent insight! My next question then would be how did you develop function and your line of pieces? The HIB function is iconic.
VRHS: Honestly the function was something that I didnât even consider.. I was in Philly working at Krushmore and saw Slinger insert a perc through the bottom.. I always wanted to see the head inside the glass, watching Slinger opened that door.
Slinger and you do a lot of work together, who are some of your other favorite artists to work with?
VRHS: Pretty much every one of the people Iâve done collaborations with have been a blast to work with, Iâm definitely looking forward to working with Peter Muller again for our show at Piece Of Mind OC in September.
I have to ask for all the vrhs collectors, will the classic HIB series end at 100?
VRHS: That is correct. The solo HIBs will be done at 100. Iâll still do a couple variations (recycler, doublestack) and will make collaboration HIBs for now.
Besides the development of HIB1 What do you think was the most challenging solo HIB to complete, and among all variations of the HIB do you have a favorite? (submitted by IG: @namastay_heady)
VRHS: Oh man, I donât really know.. learning how to now break the first few was a challenge. It seemed like I was breaking three to get one finished without any problems, after I got my timing down with my moves and the heat they became much easier. My favorites change so often, right now Iâm excited to make these last few as nice as I can and end the series with a bang.
You have made the head iconic in your work and yet have reached in so many directions with astounding work such as the abstracts, full bodys, bags, painted techs, and now the new murini stack style. Do you plan on moving forward with all these styles, or do you like to retire some?
VRHS: I get bored really easily, I enjoy the process of making glass and the infinite things you can do with it.. the murini stack pieces are something Iâm having the most fun with at the moment, the things you can do with this style of work never ends. Itâs making me think about glass in a different way than I ever have before.. Iâm definitely planning on moving forward with all styles, combining some and refining them.
Thats really an honest an inspiring approach! I can tell you after speaking with Bump, Chef and from my personal experience with other VRHS collectors, the blend of old and new is something really exciting. Itâs not often you see an artist also span multiple mediums so fluidly, I know I myself am dying for the next drop of paintings! Can we expect to see more paintings, clothes, and accessories?
VRHS: Absolutely, Iâm always working on paintings here and there, Iâll probably release some this summer along with some new shirts and a hat hopefully, a couple other items too.
Thats exciting news! Are there any artists you havent collabed with yet that you would specifically like to?
VRHS: Too many to name.. Thereâs artists Iâve been friends with for most of my career that I havenât worked with yet, and thereâs a lot of people that are of the ânewer generationâ that are making such beautiful and unique work.. the list of people Iâd like to collaborate with seems never ending.
I feel that! As a collector myself Iâve noticed how detail oriented you are. I often search VRHS rigs that I meet for UV glazed eyes, or small CFL pieces. I think that its a very dynamic part of your work.
Your work is definitely one of a kind, and regarded as both aesthetically pleasing and of the highest quality function, I just want to say thank you for giving us some insight on your work and Im sure the entire VRHS community thanks you keeping it so real. I know the community is excited as hell for the Muller show and for whats in store for the future of your art! Youâre definitely appreciated!
VRHS: I just want to make nice work, nice glass that is sturdy, functions well and looks good.. There are so many boro colors out there, the possibilities are endless. I want to say thank you to my collectors, shops/galleryâs and fellow artists for all the love over the years.. I really appreciate you giving me the chance to speak on my work.. and all the kind words.
Voorhees was such a pleasure to talk to, and I know we are ecstatic to see what he brings to us in the future. At the top pictured is a very early head sculpt, HIB #0, an abstract owned by IG: jahfyahson, the first VRHS I saw in person owned by IG: gucciglob, the blue dream recycler âDougâ owned by IG: heady_bj, his new style âmurini stackâ, a blend of two new styles âPainted techâ and the new âMIB in a bottleâ, some of his paintings, and my personally owned, Head in a Bag #2! Thank you again for all readers! Let us know who you would like to learn about next @glassleaks on Instagram!!

Chapter 3: Saddle up, Partner!
Read on (AO3) or (FF.net)
[A/N] So, fun fact, I made three moodboards for this fic, and I wanted to find a way to use each of them. Im calling this phase of the fic âAct IIâ, and this moodboard fits the tone better than the original one. I hope its not too confusing lol! And I hope you enjoy chapter three.
The week that followed, went on much the same as opening day. Hot, humid, big crowds, 'Saddle up, Partner', a lunch break that was really just a mad dash to shove something into your face, and then it was off to the rides with Max.
Mostly it was fine. And getting that first paycheck, that was pretty great too, but by far the best part of everyday was right before closing. When the sky turned pink and orange, and the sounds of laughing crowds faded, leaving only the constant calliope jingles to be heard. By Wednesday Max didn't even have to ask for Lucas to join. He would just hop over the counter and they would cross different things off of her checklist. By Friday they had ridden the Scrambler 8 times, and all of the kiddy rides at least a dozen times each.
Still, he was unsure of what to call their relationship. Were they friends? Was she only spending time with him because no one else would agree? Was he overthinking everything? (Probably, yes to the last one, for sure).
The answer, to at least some of his questions, came in an odd form on the last day of the first week.
Saturday had been essentially a repeat of each day before, the only difference was that there was a live performance of some magician happening in the evening. 'Great Value brand Mind-Freak' as Dustin had referred to him. Which was, all things considered, pretty accurate. But it also meant that most of the rides, as well as the midway would be closing early, and that during the 'pre-show' show, Lucas's lunch break was extended to a full hour. A gift from god himself.
Lucas decided that a milkshake sounded pretty good. But, then again, so did the idea of a bucket of ice getting dumped on his head. He made his was towards the cart he had come to frequent over the last several days.
"Aw hey, to what do I owe the pleasure?" Dustin grinned toothily from behind the food stands sliding glass window. He had his curly mop of hair pulled back in a messy ponytail to help keep off some of the heat. He wore a little paper hat with the fairs logo, and a striped polo that reminded Lucas of something an old timey barber might wear.
"It's my break, I just came to beat the heat." Lucas looked past his friend into the little booth, wear a row of slushie machines sat churning their sweet treats.
"Well come on in then!" Dustin disappeared from his place behind the window, and popped out of a small door a moment later, gesturing for Lucas to follow.
The space inside the cart was small, and what little floor space there was was covering in shipment boxes of food. A giant fan sat on the back wall above a small window, and a cooling breeze pushed its way through the space. There was a bubbling deep fryer for elephant ears, and another one for curly fries. There was a big class cooler with buckets of ice cream inside, and a long counter covered in sprinkles that didn't quite hit their target.
Lucas found a place to sit on top of a couple of sturdier boxes, and Dustin busted around the cart, like a well tuned machine, making them both milkshakes all without breaking conversation.
"I swear, some of these people have to be millionaires. $5 for a large fry!? You have to be kidding me! That's really the only perk though, that I get to eat for free." Dustin handed Lucas his shake before leaning against the counter opposite him.
"At least your job has a perk. I just have to stand there all day and press a button a thousand times." Lucas leaned back against the cool metal walls of the cart. He only then realized how sore his feet were.
"Don't sweat it, you get to close up early and run around while i'm still in here slaving away." Dustin paused to take a sip from his shake. "And besides, I can't think of a pretty good perk that you have."
Lucas furrowed his brows. "And what might that be?"
"You work directly across from Max! I'll bet you anything that the two of you fall in love before the end of the summer." Dustin winked and Lucas groaned.
"First of all, that's ridiculous. Second of all, we both just like rides. It's not like we get to just hang out all day, unless I yelled across the walkway, and that would just be weird."
"Look, ill i'm saying is that on your break you could have gone and chatted up a cool girl, but instead you came and talked to me." Lucas could feel a headache coming on from the amount of eye rolling he was doing. Why had he come here in the first place?
"Alright, Henderson, time for our switch." A voice called gruffy from the back of the cart. The boys turned to look at the woman who was clambering through the cramped space. She was older, with grey blonde hair pulled up into a hair net, and the face of a bulldog. An unlit cigarette dangled from her lips.
"Thanks Susan!" Dustin said as he hurriedly grabbed his things, and motioned for Lucas to follow. Lucas watched Susan give him an uneasy look up and down before turning to the window.
As soon as they were outside, Dustin untucked his polo shirt, and tossed his already finished shake into the trash.
"Thats Susan. She's one tough nut to crack. I used some of my best food puns on her, and nothing! Not even a chuckle!"
"Well yeah, if they were your food puns then im sure not." Lucas joked, elbowing his friend in the ribs as they walked.
"Haha very funny. You wanna go see Will? I think the backstage has AC."
"Hell yeah!"
They backstage did have AC. It hit them both like a wall, stepping into utter paradise. It looked a lot different than it did the first time they had walked through. The cavernous room was filled with people rushing back and forth across its cement floor. People yelling things at one another, people hoisting things up on ropes, and Will himself painting lazily in the corner, looking bored out of his mind, across from a wildly gesticulating Mike.
"Will Byers!" Lucas hollered, cupping his hands around his mouth to make his voice boom through the space. Nearly everyone turned and scowled at him before continuing about their business.
"Oh! Hey guys, what's going on?" Will set down his paintbrush, and wiped his hands on his apron. Mike stopped whatever he had been going on about and turned to wave at them.
"We were hot," Dustin plopped down on the cool ground at Will's feet. "And Susan scares me, so we came here to bother you."
"Well, there isn't anything interesting going on here." Will shrugged. He looked... off. Sad Maybe? Disappointed? Lucas couldn't quite place it. He made a mental note to ask him later. "But you could probably hide out here all day. I'm still not even sure who is in charge back here."
"William, I might just take you up on that." Dustin leaned against a large wooden crate, arms tucked behind his head and legs outstretched.
They all sat and talked for the rest of Lucas's break. It was nice, catching up, and it affirmed what he already knew to be true. That it really was more fun that they had agreed to join him. If it weren't for his friends being there to hang out with, he would probably have just been standing around the Midway like an idiot. That, or be off spending his entire paycheck at the arcade.
"And then, he got off the ride and basically fell over the edge! He was passed out for like five minutes! I thought we were going to have to call the paramedics." Mike was telling them a story about one of their old Middle School bullies, who handled the Tilt-A-Whirl with the grace of a dying whale. They were all howling with laughter. "The best part is that his date didn't even wait for him! She just went home!"
"Serves him right!" Dustin chuckled, wiping a tear from his eye. "God I wish I could have seen that."
"It was pretty great. Definitely blows the Hotdog Incident out of the water." He finger quoted the words and Will smirked up at him.
Just then, Lucas's watch beeped. He sighed, and stood up, dusting his jeans off. "Alright guys, I gotta get back out there. Are you all going to watch the show?"
"Yeah, may as well." Mike shrugged and Dustin nodded. Will looked like he wanted to say something, but he didnt.
"Cool, i'll find you guys later then."
Lucas made his way back through the fairgrounds, passing happy families and rambunctious teenagers, towards the shooting gallery. He made the trek take as long as possible, shuffling his feet slowly across the dirt pathways. By the time he got back to the midway, the crowds had mostly cleared out. People were already flocking to the stage, wanting to find the best places to stand to watch whatever bogus tricks would be performed. Lucas imagined a lot of smoke and mirrors and sequins. As he neared the game booths, he couldn't help but look up as he passed by Max's stand. His heart dropped momentarily when he saw that she wasn't behind the sunbleached counter, and instead some other bored looking teenager stood in her place.
It wasn't until he turned the corner to his own booth that he saw where exactly she had run off too.
Max was sitting on the shooting gallery counter, swinging her tanned legs casually and drinking from a bottle of orange soda that almost matched her hair in color. When she saw Lucas in the corner of her eye, she turned and smirked.
"Your break ended ten minutes ago." She scolded playfully, hopping from the counter.
"Uh yeah I know I... Had to wait in a long line for the bathrooms." Lucas winced at his own lame excuse. Smooth, Sinclair, really smooth. He didn't think that taking his sweet time on the walk back would affect anyone he actually cared about. Not that he cared about Max, no not at all (aside from the fact that he cared a lot).
"Shame on you, Lucas, look at all of these customers just begging to shoot something!" Max gestured out at the completely empty space around the booth mockingly. "You have deprived them of a good time, and now their entire trip is ruined all because of your small bladder."
Lucas felt himself smile as her condescending facade faded into a giggle. "Sorry Miss Mayfield, i'll make sure to keep my bladder in check next time."
Max laughed hard at that, and it was a sound that made Lucas's face feel hot. "See that you do. You wanna make it up to me?"
"Sure, how?"
"Let me kick your ass in a shooting contest." She patted the top of one of the plastic guns.
"You can try, but I hate to break it to you, i'm the best sharp shooter in Roane County." Lucas crossed his arms in defiance. He really was good, if not on his credentials shooting tin cans with his wrist rocket as a kid, then the week of practice he had amassed working here would surely secure his victory.
"We'll see about that, wont we?" Max flipped her hair over her shoulder as she took her place behind the player 2 shotgun. Lucas smiled and followed suit. After they were both in position, Lucas leaned over the counter and pressed the little red start button hidden underneath.
"Saddle up, Partner." Max and Lucas both spoke along with the games droning prerecording, having heard it a million times before. It made them both laugh before they fixed their rifles in their hands. Then, a western themed song played, and it was off to the races.
Little cardboard cutouts of sharp shooters and bandits would flip up with a number telling you how many points each hit was worth. Some moved slowly and were easy to hit, others flipped up for only a few seconds before flipping back down again. However, it's not exactly that simple, because hitting the cowboy, his horse, or a barmaid will deduct points.
Max and Lucas were firing at full speed. Each turning and aiming, the barrel of their guns crossing on a couple of occasion as Lucas went for a 10 point bandit, and Max went for a 15 point burglar.
"Stay on your side, Stalker!" Max hissed, determination and excitement in her voice.
"I will if you-" Bang "Do!" Lucas taunted back.
Lucas felt pretty confident, there weren't many targets he was missing, and he only hit the Cowboy once. It was probably his best game so far. Max was doing pretty well too. Aiming low and high, getting heavily invested and cheering after she caught the big 50 pointer that flashes up only for a split second. They were both laughing and bumping into one another before;
"That's some sharp shooting, buckaroo!" The game signaled that the round was over. Each cutout lowered back into place, and they returned their guns to the stands on the counter. They were both panting slightly, grinning from ear to ear. At least until Lucas looked up at the scoreboard.
Player 1: 445 - Player 2: 560
"Holy shit!" Max cheered, "I totally owned you!" She threw her arms up and spun in a small circle. Lucas's mouth just hung open. "Oh man, like I mean, I knew I was going too, but you weren't even close!" She punched his arm.
"Jeez, someone is really a sore winner." Lucas chastised and Max threw her head back in a loud cackling laugh. The same laugh that she always had when they were whirling together on rides.
"I can't help it!" She giggled, "You are just so fun to beat. Your face gets all confused and then you scrunch your eyebrows together."
Lucas felt his eyebrows, involuntarily, press together.
"Yeah, like that!" She laughed again and flicked his forehead. If it had been anyone else, he probably would have smacked their hand away.
"Yeah yeah yeah, congratulations or whatever, are we even now?" Lucas crossed his arms, watching her dance in place celebratorily.
"Totally even, I mean, i'm still going to gloat about this for the rest of today, and maybe forever, but we are even." She lifted her chin, looking proud.
"Until I find something I can beat you at."
"Is that a threat, Stalker? Video games are kind of the only thing i'm good at, and i'm really good."
Something really honest past through her eyes at this last rib. He realized that he had never heard Max say anything even remotely self-deprecating before. Not even to be funny. It was strange. It felt off.
"Hey, that's not even fair, you are good at lots of things, maybe just... extra good at video games."
Max looked at him puzzled for a moment. She was still smiling, but her eyes peered deeply into his own, shifting back and forth, almost like she was reading him.
"Okay. Maybe just extra good." She grimaced, her mouth turning downward crookedly.
He felt as though he had stepped into some sort of weird, uncomfortable, territory.
"I will find something to beat you at though. One day." He smiled as earnestly as possible, and let himself slouch against the counter, wanting to change the energy of the situation.
"Well," She slouched beside him, her face shifting back to a more normal, playful one, "If that day ever comes, then i'll owe you big time."
"Oh yeah? Like what?"
Her face shifted yet again. She was closer to him now, looking up at him. He could see the small flecks of green that framed her brilliant, blue eyes. How had he never noticed that before? She was looking... Mischievous. Like she had a secret she was just dying to tell.
"I will tell you when and if that day comes, Stalker, but for now, you have made me miss some of my lunch break." She punched his arm, again, and pushed herself off of the counter.
"Hey, you were the one who wanted to play!" He hollered as she began walking back towards the main part of the fair.
She didn't respond, or if she did, he didnt hear it, but his heart buzzed in his ears. That small exchange had told him... well, nothing really. If anything it just gave him more questions. Max was always making him second guess and over think things. Which was, admittedly, really out of character for him. He was always the 'level-headed' friend. The one who said 'No, Dustin, you shouldn't try to eat a burger in one bite.' and 'No, Mike, you shouldn't spend all weekend trapped in the basement, come have fun.' It kind of alarmed him, actually, the fact that she could waltz over to him, flash a smile, and his brain would turn into mush. He sighed, and hopped over the counter back into his station.
The midway closed soon after that. There were just no crowds to try to sell too, and the entire carnival was basically empty save for the Main Stage. Lucas walked off after being relieved for the night, and he met up with Dustin as soon as the food cart closed. Together they found Mike, and then Mike found El and Max. Soon the entire group was on a mission, searching high (and mostly low) for Will. If he was somewhere deeper in the crowd, the thought of finding him would have to be dashed, but he made himself be found in a way that left the entire group reeling.
Will Byers. On stage, dressed in some ridiculous, blue velvet suit, being locked inside of a gaudy box by the magician.
The group was at a loss, silent and in awe, just like the rest of the crowd, but for very different reasons. Will had always been shy. More a behind the scenes sort of personality. It was immediately agreed upon that he had either been bribed, blackmailed, or hypnotized.
Will stepped out from behind a curtain. The Magician introduced him to the crowd as 'The Invisible boy!' He was asked to step inside of a huge rectangular box in the middle of the stage. Everything about Will, the Magician, and the box shimmered in the dusk lighting. Lucas had been right about the sequins, there was no denying that. Will did as he was asked, looking less 'mystified', and more just terrified.
The Magician tapped on the box several times, spinning it around, then spinning it again to show it was a solid structure. Then, he said some sort of magical word gibberish, and swung the door open. Only Will, and his very horrible suit, were gone. In his place was a beautiful and busty woman wearing a swimsuit version of that blue velvet ensemble.
The crowd went nuts, and so did the Party, but again, for very different reasons. Max and Dustin both cupped their hands around their mouths to let out loud and ear piercing applause, before Max grabbed Lucas by the hand, and pulled him towards the backstage area. He could feel the others behind him, but mostly he could just feel Max holding his hand tightly.
They found Will in the dressing room, hanging his suit delicately onto a hanger. He looked green with nausea, and pink with embarrassment all at the same time.
"William Byers!" Dustin gasped.
"Please, please for the love of god, tell me you weren't watching the show." Will groaned somberly.
"Oh, we watched buddy, and you killed it! Who knew royal blue was your color!"
"I didn't kill anything. I just looked like an idiot and walked into a box." Will rolled his eyes.
"You didn't look like an idiot," Mike placed a hand on Will's shoulder. "It was... surprising, but cool. Why did you go out there?"
"I guess the normal assistant for that part never showed up, and i'm the only person small enough to fit through the trap door." He shrugged.
"Trap doors!? Thats awesome! You have to give me a secret tour." Max winked at him and mussed his hair like a mom. That made him smile as he smoothed his hair back into place. Max speaking made Lucas realize that she was still holding his hand tightly. She must have noticed too, because she dropped it, and stuck her hand in her pocket.
"Yeah, sure, maybe. Can we just go? It's going to be crazy getting out of here." Will sometimes did this thing where he would anxiously bounce in place. It was nowhere near the level of twitching and bouncing that Mike often demonstrated, but it was his own version of it. And that's how he looked now, his flush face, and hair bouncing as his eyes flickered to the exit.
It made Lucas remember that sad expression he had worn when they saw him backstage. Was this the reason? Being forced out of his comfort zone? Either way, they all nodded and followed him outside.
"Sure, whatever you say, Invisible boy."
Will just groaned.
The group made their way out into the parking lot. It was basically silent. The only sounds were the 'oo's' and 'aa's' coming from the crowd still inside the gates. It had become a routine for the girls to walk with them to the van, before deciding it was really time to go home, and walking to Max's own car. It was nice, and the conversations they all shared before splitting lasted longer and longer each day.
El was talking about someone who came through the ticket line and had made a big fuss about the price. They all commiserate with her and laughed at her jokes. She was surprisingly really funny, in an understated sort of way. Unlike Dustin, who told a story about some kid who wanted sour apple sherbet and vanilla ice cream, and they all laughed about that too. It felt so... natural. Like they all got along, and the conversation never fell into awkward silence or a dead lull. Not with personalities like Dustin and Max, who bickered over basically everything as if they were old chums. Somewhere the path of the conversation had become skewed to comic's, and it was all downhill from there.
"Dustin, shut up, seriously, if I hear you say one more thing about the MCU im going to kick you." Max rolled her eyes and laughed.
"I'm just saying! It's an objectively better franchise with objectively better narratives!"
"Yeah, I think we all caught that. I even like Marvel movies, and you are making me want to pull my hair out." She flipped her hair back over her shoulder, as if to prove a point, and turned away from him to Lucas. They were sitting on the floor of the van through the open sliding door. "Anyway, Stalker, I have to go before I kill your friend."
"Hey, it's your life, you can kill whoever you want."
"You promise you would still be my friend after?" She put a hand in front of her mouth, as if to keep it a secret, although she still talked loud enough for anyone to hear. Mike chuckled and Dustin sighed.
"Max, if you did something to shut Dustin up? I might be your best friend."
"Alright, it's settled then," She clapped her hands together. "Dustin your days are numbered, El you have been replaced."
"Oh get bent, Maxine." El teased back. El was currently leaning into Mike, who had one arm wrapped around her shoulders, and one arm wrapped around Will's shoulders.
Max popped up from her seat next to Lucas with a smirk, pinching El on the arm. "Let's get out of here, lover girl, I can feel them destroying my last good brain cells." And then she sauntered off, her hair swishing back and forth.
"You know," El began as she stepped out from under Mike's arm, "She only insults people that she likes." And then El was off too, waving goodbye and following her friend to their car.
"Jeez, Dustin, then you must be her favorite." Will said with a grin.
"Hey now, I like Max as much as the next guy, but I think we all know who her favorite is." Dustin gave Lucas a shove as he moved past him into the van.
He didn't respond, not being able to think of a good enough comeback, and he let himself smile. Everyone took their normal seats, and they set off just as the sun dipped below the horizon.
The drive back to Hawkins each day felt as though it was getting faster and faster. Maybe it was because of Will's expertly made playlists, or maybe it was just that they had now made the drive seven times. Either way, it was a nice and fulfilling experience to watch the sky get darker, as the long stretches of farmland faded into quiet suburban neighborhoods.
Before he knew it, Dustin was pulling onto Maple Street, and he and Mike were jumping out of the car.
It was now their first official weekend off of work. The fair was closed on Sundays and Mondays, and the group was looking forward to not doing much of anything. They had talked passively somewhere around Thursday at having a movie night, but if those plans fell through, Lucas probably wouldn't complain. He was looking forward to just sleeping in, and maybe using his paycheck to buy some better shoes for standing in.
When he walked inside, His dad was sitting in the easy chair in the living room watching some History channel documentary. His mom was in the kitchen washing up from supper. He heard the TV go silent and took a seat at the breakfast table in front of a plate of leftovers.
"Hey, son, how was work?" His dad bellowed.
"It was good!" He replied through a mouthful of mashed potatoes.
"Oh! I saved you a plate from din-" His mom turned around from the sink, "Oh well look at you, are you eating enough at work? Do I need to start sending you with a lunch?" His mom was always the type to fus about whether or not he was eating enough. She was a great cook, so the answer was almost always yes.
"Im fine, Ma, dont worry about it."
"Okay, well you just let me know." She turned back to the sink. "Work is going well? You and your friends are having a good time?"
"And what about you girlfriend?" Lucas eyes shot up to where his little sister, Erica, was spying on him from the stairs.
"Shut up, Erica! You- You don't even... That's not!" He stuttered, dropping his fork back onto his plate. "Why do you-"
"You should know by now that I hear everything." Erica walked into the kitchen and stole one of his diner rolls.
"Erica! Leave your brother alone, and I think you have had enough bread today." His mom scolded, ringing her hands on a rag.
"It's not my fault he talks so loud!" She shrugged, and turned to stomp back upstairs. He liked his little sister a lot, but she was probably the nosiest person he had ever met.
"I- I don't have a girlfriend." Lucas crossed his arms, suddenly feeling not hungry at all.
"Mmmhmm." His mom hummed.
"Mom! I don't!"
"That's fine, I didn't say anything. Now you wash up before bed, you smell like a churro." She pinched his check and walked into the living room.
Lucas sighed, but he smiled to himself. He finished his food and washed his plate, and all the while he thought about Max. He realized that she had said they were friends, and that made him want to dance in place the same way she had after beating him at the Shooting Gallery. It was an affirmation to at least one of the dozens of questions he had about her.
That at the very least, they were friends. And that was good enough for him, figuring that was as far as he was ever going to get.
At least for now.

Second Chances // Part 17
Second Chances Masterlist
Words: 1455 Warnings:Â Angst maybe? not really Pairings:Â Bellamy x Reader, Reader x Grounder OC, Octavia x Lincoln, Bellamy x Gina Episodes: Wanheda Part 1; Wanheda Part 2; Ye Who Enter Here
For the past 3 months, there was peace among the grounders and sky people. Jessie was able to go between Arkadia and Polis, acting as a soldier from Trikru but he also served as an ambassador between the two regions.Â
You had Jessie and Lincoln teach you how to fight better, in the event that war was to break out once more, you would be able to handle yourself on hand to hand combat.Â
You and Bellamy were on good terms. It took him a little while to get over the fact that you were dating a grounder, but he eventually got over it, or so he made you believe.
Bellamy was still in love with you and upset that you loved someone else. Of corse, he didnât tell you or show any hint of jealousy or anger. In fact, to try and move on from you, he got himself a girlfriend, Gina. She was sweet and paid attention to him, but she wasnât you. You, of course, were ecstatic that Bellamy got a girlfriend. You though he needed someone to make him feel better and you happy for him.
You were by the gates, doing simple tasks in order to help feel useful while Jessie was away in Polis. Your eyes shaped away from your boring activity as you heard commotion by the gate.Â
âOpen the gate!â David Miller ordered, followed by the metal doors swinging open.
âJasperâs hurt,â Octavia stated, and you rushed to her side.
    âWhat happened?â You asked.
âIce Nation,â Octavia answered sternly. Not a moment later Abby rushed over. âWhat took you so long?â
Abby gave Octavia a look, before ordering everyone. âGet him to medical.â
They carried Jasper off to medical, leaving you in your place. You were about to walk off when you saw Octavia and Lincoln. From the looks of the conversation, you guessed that Octavia wasnât happy with Lincoln's choice of wearing the guard jacket. Octavia stomped off, and you strolled up to the grounder.
âSheâll come around eventually,â you assured.
âI donât know, she is stubborn,â he stated with a small grin tugging at his lips.
âYeah, but she loves you. Sheâll get over it.â With that, you strolled back to your chores.
âY/N, suit up. Youâre coming with me,â Lincoln said, poking his head inside you small room that you usually shared with Jessie, but he was still in Polis.Â
You groaned but still pulled yourself out of bed. Lincoln left you to get ready. You slipped on your cargo pants and army boots, slipping on one of Jessieâs old shirts. You pulled your hair into a ponytail with a braid along the side before meeting Lincoln.Â
âSo what are we doing?â You asked.
âWe are going to Mount Weather to save my friendâs life.â
You stayed with Jasper throughout the trip to Mount Weather. You knew he was a ticking time bomb and he could explode at any minute. You had bad memories of this place, but nothing compared to what Jasper went through. You couldnât imagine losing Jessie.
You followed Jasper to the gallery room. He frantically dug through the gallery for the painting Maya had shown him. He threw and broke stuff before it fell into his lap. He stood the painting up and sat in front of it.Â
You thought he should be alone for a little while so you took it upon yourself to look at the other paintings that lived in the gallery.
You eventually left Jasper, walking into the dining room at Mount Weather. You looked around the room. There were about 30 people, all people you didnât really recognize. You noticed a couple familiar faces but you couldnât pinpoint any names. Except one. Pike.
âHey,â You said, joint Bellamy and Pike after Octavia stormed off. âProfessor Pike! How are you! Iâm happy youâre okay!â You said, giving the teacher a hug.Â
âY/N! Iâm glad to see youâre alive. It couldnât have been easy, ya know, with all the grounders,â He stated, practically spitting the word âgrounders.â
âIt sure wasnât at first, but the Grounders are good now. We have peace,â you stated with a nervous smile.
âSo Iâve heard,â he commented with disgust hidden in his voice but you caught it.
You glanced at Bellamy uneasily, before shifting the conversation. âUm so why are all these people here? Itâs going to look like we are moving in and then the treaty will break,â You stated.
âThere was no room at the inn,â Pike half-joked.
âHaha, yeah, well Y'all canât stay here forever. You will need to leave in order to keep the peace,â You said sternly before turning and walking away from the Professor.
You joined Gina, Raven, and Sinclair who were all watching as Pike interrogated a grounder from Ice Nation. Echo? Was it?
âI was with the queenâs army heading towards Polis. The war chief talks too loud,â Echo stated.
âYouâre one of them,â Pike spat. âSo, why are you telling us this?â
âWe abandoned Skaikru in the battle for the Mountain. It was wrong.â
    âAnd wonât they miss you?â
âMaybe. Thatâs why we need to hurry.â
âPike, she saved my life. We can trust her. Listen up. Ok. If we want to get to Polis before the attack, we have to move,â Bellamy stated firmly.
That caught your attention. Attack? What attack? âAttack? Do we have confirmation of that?â You asked.
âWe radioed, but no answer,â Sinclair added.
âThey may already be dead, for all we know, and if they are, we need to be ready to respond,â Pike responded.
âDonât make this about the missiles,â Sinclair said.
âThis is about survival. We donât have the numbers, but the missiles in this mountain even the playing field, and you know Iâm right,â Pike stated.
You didnât know what to do as they continued to talk about the missiles. You were speechless. The conversation ended, and you followed Pike out the door. If they were going to Polis, then you were too. You strapped in two pistols before climbing into the rover.
You sat next to Octavia. You and Octavia became close when you two bonded over having a loved one from Trikru.Â
Everyone arrived at the entrance to Polis.  Â
âWhere are the guards? The protocol would be to leave someone behind,â Bellamy observed.
    âThey did,â Octavia said.
âThis was your people,â Pike spat at Echo.
âScrew you!â She spat back in her native tongue.Â
âHey, she warned us. This proves she was telling the truth,â You stepped in.
You followed Echo through the tunnels that lead into the city. You eventually reached a shaft that had two guards that lifted the elevator. Bellamy and Pike swiftly took the two guards down, killing them.
âWhat is wrong with you? You didnât have to kill them,â You whispered to him in disbelief.
âYeah, I did,â He whispered back before asking,â How many floors?â
âAll of them,â Echo answered as Bellamy started climbing the latter.Â
You barged through the big doors behind Bellamy, Octavia, and Pike, holding up your two pistols.
âBellamy?â Clarke asked, seeing the boy who stood in the front.
âWhat is the meaning of this?â A guy in a robe asked.
âThe summitâs a trap. We need to get you out of here,â Bellamy answered.
When all of a sudden Raven came over the radio. âBellamy, Bellamy, come in. The Grounders attacked Mount Weather,â Raven said.
Your guns dropped to your side as you expression reflected one of horror and loss.Â
âWhat are you talking about?â Bellamy asked.
âItâs gone. Itâs gone. Theyâre all gone. Sinclair and I are the only ones left. Iâm so sorry, Iâm so sorry,â Raven said, her voice filled with hurt and sadness.
Tears slipped down your cheeks. You hated death, especially when death descends upon innocent people.Â
âYou should have never moved your people back into Mount Weather. The Ice Nation did what Lexa was too weak to do,â A grounder stated.
Lexa looked to Clarke for a brief moment. âThis is an act of war. Sentries, arrest the Ice Nation delegation, including the Prince,â Lexa order.
âWe need to get home. If they attacked Mount Weather, Arkadia could be next,â Abby stated.
âGo. Marshal your forces. Weâll avenge the attack together,â Lexa promised.
