I forget how much I love Warframe sometimes. It's legitimately the only shooter I like because it's the only one I've tried that I remotely understand (plus if I get bored shooting, I can just melee bitches super effectively).
I'm not very far. I've only just unlocked the test for Mastery Rank 4, and have only just unlocked Mars, but I love it so much.
It helps that my hubby introduced me to it and he's way further in the game, so I can join him in any mission he has unlocked which is a lot of them.
I love the game but I adore the personal time it gets me with my husband. There's not a whole lot of games we both like. He likes fighting and real-time strategy. I like puzzle and rhythm. But we both like Warframe. We both like Minecraft (mainly modded from hell). We both like just being in the presence of the other and doing our own thing, separate but together.
God this was supposed to be about Warframe but oh my god I love him so much.
(Oh, I main Octavia if you play, but I only have her, Excalibur, and Caliban unlocked so like... I want Octavia prime SO BAD)

I always find it kind of funny what some other ppl consider "slow burn". Like I've been reading a fic that the writer repeatedly said was slow burn, but some 40k words in and they've had their first kiss...
I'm not complaining, but that just doesn't feel like that slow of a burn to me lmao. But Then Again, this is coming from the person who writes some of the slowest of burns... not the slowest, mind you, but like. In discacc, I'm pretty sure their first kiss happened around... what, 400k words in? Something like that. And they hadn't even officially Met (in person) until like some 70k words in.
And Then there's ITNL. Currently 74k words, and Wolfwood hasn't even officially entered the story yet.
We're in for the long haul, y'all :]
#speculation nation#itnl shit#discacc shit#sure i'll tag it. this post has me remembering writing it :')#but yea like. hm. i dont think it'll take as long in ITNL as it did in discacc for the relationship shit to happen#if i had to estimate... maybe around 200k? for the first kiss at least. based on my plans for it & all.#keeping in mind that ITNL as a whole could be 400k words. or more...#im notoriously bad at properly estimating word counts though#as seen by my 'im 150k words into discacc and halfway through the game so Surely the fic will be 300k words'#and im sitting pretty at 500k and still a good third of the game left. whoops.#i say it's not the 'slowest of burns' bc one of my fav fics ever is at... what... 600k? 700k? i havent looked in a while actually#so i dont remember. but after all of these words the protagonist still doesnt even realize he's got FEELINGS.#they held hands Once. easily made up for with everything else in the story. utterly fascinating mysteries. so on so forth#for the intersection of fandoms of ppl who know p5 and my shit. itnl rly is inspired by Marigolds.#the short and sweet summary that really tells you very little (so u have to tell via tags what it is)!!!#the time travel and years passed before even MEETING the other person again#im not going as in depth into it but the inspiration is there. im still just utterly enamored with Marigolds years later#and this is a trope so common in p5 fandom (the NG+ style of time travel) yet i hadnt seen it at all in t.rigun#so. yeah. maybe i moved to a new fandom and am taking inspiration from one of my fav fanfics ever#but to be fair discacc has been largely inspired by Marigolds too. just more with characterization than story structure.#anyways. dont worry ITNL readers there will be vw from like the moment they first meet. flirting inevitable.#but the actual resolution will take a while. Emotional resolution even longer than Physical resolution lol#if u read this far into the tags then xoxoxo love U. hope u enjoyed the hints of the planned structure for ITNL

this song got me thinking of Prohero!Katsuki x ObsidianQuirk!Reader… who keeps dragging him into her little games of toying with the law.. and his thoughts.
Reader isn’t a notorious villain or anyone too special, but they have a pretty neat quirk that they like to put to use every now and then. As long as they get a laugh out of it, really. They can manipulate magma from the earth and utilize it to their liking, including hardening the elements within the material and creating obsidian structures. It’s not overly noticeable if it’s not used to its full potential, and it can easily exhaust them if used to much, but what’s wrong with a little fun here and there?
Recently, some gangs of low end scumbags have been committing crimes around katsuki’s patrolling grounds- childish stuff like stealing money and merchandise from gas stations and small businesses and trying to run away after. However, upon reaching the scene of these crimes, the criminals are already knocked out and tied up by some, what looks like obsidian chain link, but the even more annoying part? Everything the tied up criminals attempted to steal on their own is completely missing, plus a few extra items here and there.
…weird.there’s no hero that he’s aware of that has a quirk capable of doing that, and if there was why hasn’t it been reported that they would be in his area? Also what hero captures people and then walks away with valuables?
This continues for a couple weeks, and it starts to drive the hero into frustration.
Until that is, today.
It was time for the hero to end his patrol and head back to the agency when he heard some commotion ahead. Picking up his pace, katsuki was ready to catch whoever was around the corner when he came face to face with Reader. Laughing softly at the group of teenage boys in front of her, two of them were already knocked out and were currently being tied up in that familiar chain the pro has been busting blood vessels over.
The last standing of the group, dropped everything, running in the opposite direction before being completely knocked sideways by readers quirk and drug towards the rest of the boys on the ground.
“Alright! $250 that’s not bad, time to get the fuck outta he-“
Bending down to collect the random number of snacks and money the boys had previously taken from the gas station down the road, reader looked up.
Katsuki stood before her, completely dumbfounded.
A girl has been doing this? Seemingly about his age- and that quirk..is she a criminal too? She was going to just walk away with stuff!! Who could she be- she’s a decently attractive girl at first glance.. actually scratch that, she’s almost exactly his type in looks-
“This is awkward..uhm- Dynamight right?”
oh.. she knows who he is?.. well of course, he’s pretty known in the public and if she’s been knocking these thugs out and also stealing their stuff, she’s got to be aware of heros…but why is his heart fluttering a bit when she said his name, and why does he feel kind of intimidated right now?… uhm actually why are his legs not moving right now-
“Who the hell are you-“
“Y’know I would love to chat about all of this but I kinda don’t feel like being arrested today so I should get going!”
she used her quirk on him. She completely trapped his legs in her stupid fucking obsidian bullshit, and now she’s running off with money that isn’t hers, and leaving five knocked out idiots behind.
“HEY! WAIT A FUCKING MINUTE IM NOT DONE WITH YOU-“
Blasting out of her obsidian hold he darted around the corner to find her completely out of sight.
-
-
-
Weeks pass and Katsuki is still thinking about Reader. He’s even gone as far as requesting security footage from the local shops where recent crimes have taken place. He’s spent hours analyzing her quirk and trying to find any information he can about her through the static and choppy imaging.
After he couldn’t get much information himself, he sent his secretary to the commission office to get as much information about her as possible. The next morning, a stack of documents were placed on his desk.
(Y/N) (L/N)
Quirk : Obsidian Manipulation
Working Status : Retired Undercover Hero
Hero Name : Igneous
[Headshot]
a retired undercover hero? she’s so young though.. why would she be retired already-
“sir, you’re 2:00 is ready for you in the conference hall.”
“K.”
Katsuki takes a deep breath and gathers his thoughts. He’s got more important things he should be focusing on…not some criminal- no, ex undercover hero.. okay, an ex undercover hero who knocks thugs out but steals valuables- who has a decently good quirk and looked kinda attractive when she used it-
oh,
how the mighty fall…
(in love)
I rushed this but OH MY GAWD. I am obsessed with a dumbfounded very interested katsuki x kinda bad influence but also not horrible person reader. PLEASE, give me your thoughts + add on’s I want to expand this so bad. My head is SPINNING 😫🤌

Are the old graphics options going to be available? Im gonna be so mad if I Literally Cannot Play FFXIV ever again because people spent two years complaining about those goddamn grapes.
No, the base system requirements/recommendations are changing, they’ve talked about this a lot. The minimum specs are actually still pretty generous though, it’s still required to run on PS4 after all. And while I do understand the frustration if u still don’t meet the minimum specs, I promise it’s not just because of shit like the grapes lol. They’ve talked about literally needing to change intended story beats/shot composition as recently as Endwalker specifically because foliage quality looked distractingly bad during what were meant to be emotionally resonant scenes. The game absolutely could use a boost in fidelity if it’s meant to carry on for another 10 years. Sure there are a ton of people who don’t mind the visuals of the game now, I still think it can look quite nice in many areas and I think the strength of its story and overall art direction carry even the bad parts, but for years now they have been building off of a foundation that was notoriously compromised and rushed to ultimately save the game in the long run, and it shows. Texture quality in particular has been absolutely dire for way longer than it should have been. I’ve seen so many people distracted by how pixelated the Crystal Exarch looks near the end of Shadowbringers and it’s entirely understandable. I personally can’t help but notice how muddy hair and gear look when a cutscene decides to close-up on a character’s face, which is just not at all what should be running through my mind, but I can’t help it. I’m not a graphics SNOB but I do think that a games visuals really do matter, especially for an MMO like this where so much of its appeal is carried by your attachment to your character from a role playing and aesthetic perspective. Glamour is endgame after all, and that is ALL visual. This stuff is important to people, making it better is a net win.

for my own benefit rly im just gonna keep a list of things im finding out poking around tumblr/forums/blog posts/etc.
IKEA stuff & other missing content: "Please note that modern licensing restrictions have required the removal of 1 pack and some of the original songs, but we have included as many as possible." licensing issues for packs like this arent new (hi katy perry), interestingly theres no such notes for the sims 1 which includes irl celebrities, not just in superstar but also drew carey in house party since there is missing content, the file size may be smaller than UC
small improvements to the games graphics rules that u could DIY in basically any version of ts2
ts2 incorporates an old version of shadow fixes, without credit or nopke's permission (simnopke) (shadow fixes)
holiday stuff being hidden is an old bug thats present in UC, its still broken in legacy collection
it looks like bodyshop is gone?
ive seen several ppl saying that the denuvo tag was for the included sims 4 kits (why r those there lmao), that the old games dont actually have denuvo (sidenote it kinda bites that i alrdy have those kits lol)
some questions i have:
does the ui look better in ts2? cas notoriously looks bad on widescreen resolutions. chris hatch made a fix for this and if EA is making a habit of stealing modders fixes this is worth looking into
does the ui look better in ts1? theres various fan patches for that listed here, same questions as above
i dont think anyone can actually answer this but how tf were pink soup & texture memory corruption fixed? everyones guesses seem to be making it 64bit or large address aware which many of us know only work so well. i wanna know more than "someone got pink soup" bc i think players often falsely assume the pink flashing itself is the problem & not a symptom of another problem
is it available to mac users? i am not a mac user but this is the #1 thing that would make it worth re-releasing imo
which original songs were removed from ts2?
im ignoring anything abt whether it runs better/worse for now til i know exactly what changes were made, cos until that point its all anecdotal

I played romance Louis/save Violet for the first time (and last) in my life some days ago and I really didn't expect the game to feel so different without him. Not is his absence only extremely notorious but to quote one of your old posts, the game won't shut up about him.
EVERY SINGLE TIME. They didn't mention Violet even half the times they did with Louis, and it just feels. Awful. Constant reminder that you left him get taken, that he's being tortured and traumatized. It really did hit different, I wanted to think about all the details for Violet's route but I couldn't. THEY KEPT BRINGING HIM UP LIKE OK !! I GET IT !! I KNOW, IM COMING TO HIS RESCUE
and in the end I ended up getting mad Violet suddenly forgot about his existence. I remember you talked about that a lot but since I hadn't experienced it I hadn't realized how bad it was.
When she didn't mentioned him even ONCE, not in the cells, not in the walk home back to Ericson, nothing.
But back to Louis– the game says Louis' name over and over and it makes me feel guilty and I don't like it
That route haunts my nightmares.
When I used to stream, we called the romance Louis/save Violet [+don't trust AJ] route The Despair Route.... you can probably guess why. You're right, the whole thing hits differently when you've built up Clementine's romance with him, only for him to be taken away. Plus, when you do that, your relationship with Violet isn't as strong so not only do you miss out on a lot of Louis content, you miss out on Violet content for not romancing/best friending her.
And yeah, the game will not shut up about Louis when he gets taken. It's actually so fascinating, because Violet doesn't get mentioned nearly as much, so that begs the question of why? Y'know? I mean, we can look at Louis getting captured and conclude that they keep reminding us about him so that we're extra hurt and guilty when we find him in the cells.
But then with Violet? Louis is the one who brings her up most of the time, except when Ruby pulls out her file. But it's odd that the others don't make more comments like they do with Louis. I think we are kind of meant to forget about her? Well, okay, not forget about her but like... The fact that they don't talk about her as much makes her feeling pissed off, forgotten and abandoned all the more powerful, no?
As for Violet forgetting about him, in my opinion that's just a genuine flaw with the writing... because Violet would ask about Louis. I've played her romance route. I believe that in my heart of hearts that she would, and when she doesn't, I'm like ?????
Sure, you can say she's got her mind on other things, or that Aasim already told her what happened to Louis so she doesn't ask when they're in the cells... except she would ask if he's okay.
They're different characters who react to things differently, and that's not inherently good or bad.... but you're seriously going to tell me that the only thing Violet's says to Louis is a sad little, "Lou..." when meeting up with him on the beach? and then she only makes a minor mention of him when talking about pushing people away on the walk home?
No, sir. I think not. I think that's an oversight, especially if you're trying to sell their friendship in her route.
But I suppose in her defense, if you're a Louis fan, you're more likely to be angry about it. We're used to Louis mentioning Violet and then to see her not do the same isn't great. Whereas a Violet fan who prefers her route is more likely to justify why and how it makes sense, y'know? In fact, if a Violet fan plays Louis' route, they probably get mad that she's "forgotten" about a lot prior to the cells so I suppose it balances out?
Also, can I add for both routes how much I side eye the fact that captured Louis/Violet say nothing about the other if they died on the bridge? I get they didn't want to be a downer on the happy ending, and that time has passed so they probably already mourned......... but c'mon. I know Louis can't verbalize but he can write, he can stand by Violet's grave, something. Violet could've said something. Listen, if you're gonna make me suffer through that, give me some of the angst I actually want.

Do you have any plans for Moth Flight in your au? I always felt like she had a lot of potential, but her super edition…. Oh it’s bad. God forbid a disabled, young, single mom try to raise children and have a job at the same time. Too bad there was no one to help her when things got stressful, like you know, her clanmates… No women should have a job and children at the same time ever again.
If it wasn’t obvious that was sarcasm, Moth Flight’s story has awful implications. But! In BB Clerics Not being allowed to have kits wasn’t a law until the Ripple Era, it used to just be a personal vow and was a bit taboo. So I’m interested in of Moth Flight still had something to do with the creation of the vow itself? And just in general if you have any plans to fix her story or if you’re just throwing the whole thing out. (Which would be completely understandable.) I just think there IS potential there in her story, especially in BB where the Clerics Vow is actually ACKNOWLEDGED to not make sense and be bad. It could be interesting for the idea to rise from such a hyper specific, awful situation. The Clans having altered her story so much over the years that it went from the truth, “the first Cleric was a young, single mother of four, trying to raise her children while morning her husband and convincing the other Clans that they needed Clerics. The odds were against her.” To the perfect, Cleric’s Vow supporting lie, “the first Cleric had kits. She was unable to balance raising them and caring for her Clanmates. She taught the Clans a valuable lesson, a Clerics first and only duty should be healing and worshiping StarClan. Kits only get in the way of that duty.”
Idk, I just feel like there’s still an interesting story to tell somewhere through all of Moth Flight’s super edition’s bs. In the hands of a better writer who doesn’t ACTUALLY believe that Moth Flight’s genuinely tragic life means that all women who have jobs can never have children or get married again.
There's HUUGE overhauls here. I spoke about it eons ago during the last wave where I was discussing my changes to BB!DOTC, but let me give you the fragments thus far.
It's VERY different. Get ready for Moth Flight to be a completely different character.
MOTH FLIGHT'S VOW
She is no longer the child of Wind Runner. In fact...
She's the daughter of Wind Runner's shitty ex, Branch
Moth's other dad is Cloud Flight (prev. Cloud Spots). Since the Great Battle, Cloud has been wandering between the 5 groups as a sort of traveling doctor. It's a lot of work, there's only him and Dapple and an overwhelming amount of cats who need his skilled paws
So Moth Flight has always been a bit detached from people. I want her to actually have ADHD this time around, instead of it vanishing when it isn't convenient.
She kind of has Military Base Kid energy, hopping place to place with unresolved mental health issues. She probably bites ppl because I love weird girls
"papas can i bring my leeches" "honey no"
Cloud really wanted to train her to be a Medic the way he is, but... she has to learn how to do it her own way.
Branch doesn't help he's a goof and mostly interested in playing games with his baby.
I want to portray Branch as someone who's flighty, not another example of "before the Tribe cats came we were uncivilized heathens without society"
I also don't like his original narrative purpose to give Wind Runner trust issues that don't matter. If she had trust issues, what exactly was all that "please let me join ur group" about??
BB!Wind Runner is a breakaway from the River Kingdom, and the leader of the loosely united Moor cats. She created the Wind Coalition and is its intense, notoriously ruthless leader
So something eventually calls Cloud to do his work for the Wind Coalition
Branch: *SWEATS*
Cloud Flight: "..............branch. what did you Do"
Branch: "youre not allowed to be mad at me"
Cloud Flight: "tell me what you did and then we'll see if im mad at you"
The take might be controversial, but I do like the way that Windstar has problems with Moth Flight for no reason. I wanted to preserve it while removing it being yet another case of motherly child neglect, and more of a case of Wind Runner holding unfair grudges. I think it's good drama
Moth Flight's love of nature, herbs, and the natural world eventually prompts her to follow a Hairstreak Butterfly to the Moonstone. It leads her through the winding tunnels, a path that only Clerics will know how to navigate in the future, to the shimmering chamber in the middle.
Through her special connection to StarClan, drawing off the early cultural view of their ancestors as nature spirits (the fact that they are star spirits is a Park Cat contribution and all 5 leaders have their lives by this point), Moth Flight is able to come into her own as a holy speaker and healer. She begins to blur the line between holiness and healing, marked by how Clanmew has only one word for both concepts.
Hairstreak Butterflies also become known as a "herald" type of butterfly. I could get into the linguistics of this, but the old Tribemew word for moth/butterfly becomes the Clanmew word for sacred butterflies.
Micah is not supremely important anymore, but he's there. He doesn't become a healer in MFV, he's just Moth's mate.
But things begin to go wrong when her kittens are born.
All four children are born with a high connection to StarClan, just like their mother.
She takes it on herself to train them, as Cloud Flight had done with her, wiser from understanding that they would learn in their own ways.
Dapple and Cloud Flight never have this connection to star spirits, and they're growing old. Cloud is ready to retire, Dapple dies in some way before she's able to train a replacement
It begins to cause panic in the groups. It was bad with only two healers, but now everything is stretched even thinner.
SkyClan, notoriously violent, is the first to make the move. Skystar was not above the practice of Kit Stealing, taking Misty's kittens and giving them to Petal Claw for her loyalty ages ago.
Kit Stealing wouldn't become common until the creation of the Law of Loyalty, which is only a few years away, but it did exist before then.
They want a Mothkin kitten.
The Wind Coalition, of course, moves to fight and protect them. They call on ThunderClan, who can usually be relied upon
ThunderClan's request... they also want a Mothkin kitten. They need doctors too.
The River Kingdom and ShadowClan are also moving to take a kitten
EVERYONE needs a doctor, and they will fight and kill to get one. They all begin to realize... if they don't separate, there will be blood. People they love will die, and they'll be ripped apart anyway
Moth Flight, seeing this, BURNING with sorrow and fury at the violence of the Clans but knowing there is no other option, tells her children to make her a promise.
"That there will be no Mothkin after you. That you will never take a mate, or give your kidnappers more children. That you will remember that they were willing to kill their own families to steal you, and that you will be loyal the pursuit of life, virtue, and your sacred ability to heal above the cruel commands of the treacherous Clans."
Having accepted this, the family calls for an end to the fighting. Each child chooses a Clan to go to, and has their name changed.
ThunderClan: Spider Flight -> Spider Flight (no change)
SkyClan: Honey Flight -> Honey Pelt
RiverClan: Bubble Flight -> Bubbling Stream
ShadowClan: Blue Flight -> Blue Whisker
They're being shuffled based on which Clan they go to because it always bothered me that their names don't match their Clans, and also Spider Paw going to RiverClan when he has a phobia of water is insulting and I said no
So, TL;DR, this is a completely different story because DOTC is the one arc that I don't value "fixing." It needs a complete overhaul, imo.
This one would take place after Thunderstar's Justice, which immediately follows the First Battle. In terms of timeline, first is Hollyleaf's Century, 30 years later BB!DOTC begins and lasts several years, a few months after the First Battle begins Thunderstar's Justice, and then Moth Flight's Vow follows a year later.

Im using this chance to scream about my mortal kombat hot take that turned into a rlly long ramble (only loosely related bc its about two normal humans lol):
Everyone says Cassie and Jacqui shouldn't have been in MK11, since Cas has had the main character spotlight in MKX and Jacqui has the personality of cardboard, while Takeda/Jin are more interesting. HOWEVER I actually think they deserved to be in the game 500% more, but that Netherrealm completely fumbled them. Jacqui more than Cassie, like horribly so.
Both really need something 'unique' about them, and MK11 was that chance, but instead Jacqui is just. A plot device really. She only exists to support other character arcs and be a borderline macguffin for Jax to have motivation- her own damn tower ending is her dying to further someone else's life. MK11 should've given Jacqui something to define herself a bit more in the story! Some kind of plot!! Cassie's story is sorta interesting, but Sonya coming back kinda dulls the impact of Sonya, yknow, dying. Hanzo's death is more impactful since his character arc was just wiped, Sonya doesn't get that. The whole "you're my mom who just died but not yet because you're from the past and im really conflicted about this" angle was, as my dad who watched me play said, "really fucked up" (in a good way imo), but they really only confined that to one scene. If you're gonna go at that angle, put ur whole pussy into it babe!!!
Takeda/Jin have more than enough to separate themselves from their parents, so yeah Cassie and Jacqui really needed an extra game to grow. Unfortunately they didn't, they're just kinda static. So im delving into personal story ideas!
Cassie would've really benefitted from gifted kid syndrome- girl just killed a god and saved the world, mk11 shouldve rlly leaned into the idea that shes pulling herself apart to try and keep being the main character. Kid of Johnny and Sonya, god killer?? Make that shit keep her up at night. Make her take charge in every situation where the older characters aren't there, make her self sacrificial, make her want to be the hero not because she wants that fame again, but because earthrealm is notorious for crumbling without someone to protect it and she cant bear to have anyone else shoulder that weight. She did it once, she can take it again. Then make Sonya die doing exactly what Cassie's doing, sacrificing herself for the mission and for Earthrealm.
Then she comes back, younger and a little less hardened. I think it's infinitely better if we flip the whole "ur my mother" thing- make Sonya conflicted that this is her child who is writhing in agony over her mother's death and Sonya isn't sure what shes meant to do. Everything screams to go and comfort her- its her DAUGHTER for crying out loud, but how would Cassie react? Would it only make things worse? What the HELL did her future self do to make Cassie look at her with such mixed emotions? It's mentioned a few times that present Sonya valued work heavily over her family, and that it got worse and worse over time, so i think it should culminate in a scene where Sonya from the past tells Cassie that her future self was wrong- the mission isnt everything, and she has family she needs to look out for. I think it'd mirror the Johnny's well too, since old Johnny literally beat the shit out of younger Johnny because he refused to take his (future) family seriously.
Jacqui on the other hand? She just needs her own damn arc. Keep Jax becoming a bad guy, thats fine imo, but touch on the mother's death and Jacqui's feelings about it. Her damn MOTHER died and the story is completely "ohhh jax became a bAD GUY ABOUT THIS" and I don't even think Jacqui gets to like, I dont even think her death is mentioned around Jacqui at all. I think just adding a few scenes between present Jax and Jacqui would fix a lot. Have the two not talk since her death; Jacqui really wants to talk about it, acknowledge what happened and try and heal, while Jax is ignoring her attempts and distancing himself (depression) and simultaneously trying to protect Jacqui. Replace the Kronika and Jax scene with a scene of the two in a fight, Jax trying to tell Jacqui to leave the military and dodging any conversation about how badly theyre both hurting, while Jacqui is pissed that he's shutting himself off and is basically regressing her into a child as a way to cope. Jacqui leaves in a huff, and Jax alone going "please, i just want to protect my little girl", queue the clicking of the grandfather clock stopping the tears freezing midair. Dont even show us the conversation, just hard cut away- the fight tells us everything we need to know about why Jax is doing what hes doing. I think that ALONE would help with Jacqui a lot (we've acknowledged she has feelings about her mom's death and that she has a conflict with her dad going on now), but going further you might be able to replace the cassie/raiden scene with JACQUI instead. Have Jacqui be upset that Jax is so deep in grief that hes joined the bad guys, and that she cant even tell what type of person her father is anymore. Is he the father that pushed her on the swing when she squeeled 'higher!', who hugged her so gently with his metal arms, or is he the man he is now, joining with criminals and thieves and murderers in the name of her 'protection'? Is that who he's always been? Have Raiden tell her that it doesnt matter who her father is, but who SHE is. Is she the type of person who give up on her dad? Or will she look him in the eye and tell him "I love you despite everything" and fight to save him?
Jax and Jacqui should reconcile before the boat scene entirely so they can get a plot beat to just talk. Too much action for a pause in the boat scene. My timeline of events is iffy but maybe this can happen at the Tiara scene- iirc Cetrion LITERALLY threatens to kill Jacqui and Jax is STILL on Team Kronika after this. CMON. Have Jax switch sides and attack Cetrion when she tries killing Jacqui- Past Jax is a bit iffy to me as an addition to the scene, he doesnt rlly add anything. Have Jax snap out of everything at the realization that its not the military putting Jacqui in danger, its HIMSELF. Have him admit hes wrong, and the two finally get a moment to grief (even if briefly bc the world is dying again). Have Cetrion note this interaction too. Whens the last time her mother ever hugged her like that? When was the last time they grieved the loss of Father? Even MENTIONED Father? Is Kronika even her mother beyond just the name? Hot take but have Cetrion try and betray Kronika at the end of the plot because of this moment, and Kronika goes "lmao no" and absorbs her essence anyway.
VERY LONG ASK I KNOW BUT I NEED TO GET THIS IDEA OUT!!! It also adds a layer of theming around family and love, something thats vaguely there in MKX and MK11 but its like. Hidden and an afterthought. Jax protect Jacqui bc shes family. Cassie is grieving the death of a family member. The villian is the mother of two other villians and kills one and discards the other. Cassie and Jacqui deserve better thats my message im here all night folks
Yesss! The family themes need to hit hard! This is why I’m sad they rebooted when we could’ve had more familial growth, but maybe we’ll get it in the next few games 😭
I don’t have much input because I agree with so much (if only I could ring up NRS and get you hired)! BUT IM POSTING CUZ YOU COOKED FR FR AND NEED RECOGNITION 🔥🔥🔥

genuine question in good faith, how can you play botw :( i tried and i couldnt do like.. any of the combat especially with the big robot things and it frustrated me so bad i put down the game and never picked it up again
well for me personally botw wasn't the first "difficult" game i ever played so to speak. i dont think of it as very hard. im not like great with games like that but i did finish dark souls 1 and 2 on my own with tremendous effort. i suck at souls games but im good at smash so botw wasn't horrible for me difficulty wise.
this is a pretty common sentiment for people who are playing botw for the first time for various reasons. on one hand, if its the first zelda game you picked up after playing another title - you're gonna have a hard time. on another if you picked it up because of a game like genshin, you are once again going to have a Hard Time.
getting frustrated w games and quitting is standard so dont feel bad about that.
but it's good for you to keep in mind that botw in many aspects is a game meant for you to fail.
this is true for every "hard" video game to an extent. failure is a crucial and integral part of progression. on one hand, this can be very brutal and demoralizing but it's also something with a sense of accomplishment you can't really achieve anywhere else.
failure is an expected part of the gameplay. dying to random things, being under equipped, having to do fights over and over. these are in the game by design. i know it can feel bad, but it's always good to keep this mind. you are meant to be losing a lot of the time.
games with progression like this (notoriously soulslikes but also many others) are mostly broken down into 3 parts. 1. is actually physical skill - as in being able to use your controller / keyboard and mouse 2. timing - so learning the timing for attack patterns during boss fights in order to dodge and 3. preparedness.
the nice thing is that if you can do the second thing - i.e. figuring out how to time things, you're basically good to go for the rest of the game. that is most of the battle. after that is preparedness. having the right gear, the right stamina etc. if you're getting one-shotted by a boss - it's highly likely it's just too early for you to be exploring that area and you should focus on easier bosses first.
actually physical skill is one of those you develop over time and something that requires a lot of effort.
the main thing with breath of the wild though is that you can exploit the system. souls games are much more rigid. there's realistically not anyway to avoid combat other than grinding it the fuck out and getting to where you need eventually.
but this is not as true for botw. you can farm items, weapons, money + do a metric fuckton of shrines and build your link up to be strong before you take on anything. it's easy to runaway. there are very few instances of fighting that you need to fight in game. you can just continue exploring and building up your inventory until you feel completely prepared.
my best advice early game is just run away. guardians are hard so just open your map and dip using fast travel. wait until you have more hearts to tank it by doing shrines - build your stamina and upgrade your gear and go back.
but also remember - you dont need to do the hard combat to play botw. you can pretty much just explore and fight smaller enemies the entire time and still have fun. it's open world so there's no right or wrong way to play it really.
combat is tough in any game. it just takes practice. but i totally understand not wanting to deal w the stress of that if you're playing causally (this is why i still have not gotten into elden ring KJSDHF. i will over summer tho)
but i'd encourage you to give botw a chance. when it doubt hit da bricks and just explore the map and puzzles. its still a great game on that alone

For the ask game: 17, 31 and/or 47, gedet'ye.
17. what is your favorite line you’ve ever written?
oh dont do me like that XD, im notoriously bad at picking absolute favorites. here's 3 i like a lot. but i have to do lines because my writing references itself a lot, apparently.
With a muttered apology to the vod he shoved, Rex throws his shoulders back and walks out into the white halls with as much bravado as he can muster. He imagines the weight of his armor on his shoulders, his helmet on his head, his blasters at his sides. He was a Captain, and walks like he still is one. No one asks him who he is and where he’s going.
from Family Forever
Peace flows into him like a breath melting frost, like the warm brush of a hand against hair, like a green shoot barely sprouting from the ground. There’s nothing artificial about the feeling to make him instinctively fight against it like a sedative. It’s purely kind and gentle and completely Twitch . Hope and patience soaks into every pore. They’ll find Echo. Everything will be alright.
from Unchipped
“Dirt’s a valuable resource on Coruscant,” Commander Fox corrects. “Being a whole planet-wide city and all that. It’s in limited supply, so it’s protected. I’d love to be treated like dirt.”
from current WIP
31. tell us about one of your characters who’s an absolute joy to write
Right now I am writing the snarkiest and put-upon Fox I've ever done, as seen above. It's very fun. Also I made up a Corrie who is also well versed in snark and bold-faced audacity. It's so much fun.
47. what story are you most proud of?
I'm pretty proud of Oh Captain My Captain, because not only is it a long fic i actually finished but i think i managed to blend the elements of the Star Wars universe with the Captain America plot pretty well. And make everyone sad in the process lol

Currently re-playing both Re4's and like.. I NEED to know WHERE this Ashley is annoying hate train ever came from. Bc like.. re4r Ashley only says stuff that ACTUALLY make sense & feel grounded, meanwhile Leon's just.. "ThInK yOu CaN SwAlLoW mE WhOlE HuH" And I want to punch this man his sense of humour is TERRIBLE!! He's like 50x more annoying than Ashley?? Even Luis is super annoying.. Like I'm trying to focus on fighting the villagers and he's just screaming "WOW IM GOOD AT THIS!" ;-; Haven't gotten to ashley in OG yet tho so I'm rusty on how annoying she actually is in it LMAO
it came from OG ashley's voice actor + skill issues
like actually legitimately genuinely people who had issues managing her in-game as though she's not the single best escort AI to have ever existed, even to this day, even better than remake ashley yeah i said it
if you look at OG ashley's script on paper, away from the gameplay and her voice, she was written to be the single most inoffensive character in RE. but it didn't matter because people were fucking bad at the game and blamed her for it.
notoriously annoying character ashley graham with such obnoxious lines of dialogue like:
"what...? my father?"
"leon, i think they shot something in my neck"
"what's going to happen to us?"
"i'm never turning into one of them! never!"
"let me come with you"
"i'm sorry if i was..."
"are you okay, leon?"
"*gasp!* no!"
"leon... you're alive..."
WHAT AN ANNOYING FUCKING CHARACTER HOLY SHIT HOW DOES ANYONE STAND IT

daiya no ace anime reflection/review
**spoilers!!**
im at a point in my life where i have a lot of free time at the end of the day and i find myself filling that slot with anime.
for the past two weeks, ace of the diamond has taken up a big portion of my mind as i found myself falling in love with the team and its players.
about a month ago was when i started a roll on watching sports anime. i caught up on haikyuu, binged blue lock and ao ashi, and finally spent another good chunk of time on free!!. ace of the diamond was no new title to me, yet for some reason i kept it on the back burner. i dont know why; whether it was the art style, the then-seemingly long list of episodes, or the fact that it was baseball. maybe it was all of them. when i burned myself out trying to find another anime, i finally settled on giving DnA a chance.
today, as i have finished all 176 episodes (no OVAs yet!) i confidently say it's one of my top, if not the top, anime ive seen so far.
i noted a few things as i progressed through the series: strong points, cons, favorite characters, and a few personal thoughts.
i will start off with the cons head on. daiya's is, i guess i could say, notorious? for its "annoying, loud, benchwarmer" MC. one genuine complaint i do have is the lack of animation quality in the third season. there were many still shots with voice overs, though i felt a little more satisfied with the animation towards the end. also, to a smaller extent, the anime is not as complete as the manga.
anyway, i think the slow burn is actually a strong point, as many others point out. indeed, it is the very low lows that make the highs so high. don't get me wrong, i love a stupidly powerful MC, such as mob psycho 100 or OPM, but the realism gives DnA its charm and relatability. when others say "season 1 is bad, season 2 is good, season 3 is amazing," they are not lying.
DnA's charm not only lies in its realism, but also its character development and character interactions. brotherhood, leadership, and teamwork are all themes throughout the anime. the way the third years cared for their juniors and the way the juniors fought to elongate their seniors' summers was beautiful, heart-wrenching, and gut-punching to me, a recent college graduate. these types of moments are not uncommon in sports anime, but something about DnA's execution made it so much more..emotional? relatable? whether it was due to convenient timing or the fact that the sheer amount of episodes made me feel like they were actually my own friends, i just felt so much more compelled when watching daiya.
on the topic of my personal emotions, as i said, the themes of graduating/retiring really hit home for me. but that made daiya all the more special to me. both personal relatability and just watching everyone's hard work made it so easy to sympathize with their determination. maybe it was the countless scenes of them heaving and gasping for air; or the scenes where TJ made their frustrations so visible and vulnerable. as a watcher, i did not see myself rooting for some characters in a show; normally, i'd take a normal stance with the expectations that the "of course, the MC team will win." i saw myself rooting for my friends. in addition, knowing TJ, we can never be too sure on how seido's games will actually go. everything comes down to the realism. it's daiya's realism that made me feel their passion, made them so relatable, and made it feel like they were actually at high stakes. i truly, rarely never cry when watching an anime. besides assassination classroom, no other anime has made me so emotional. not only that, but daiya made me cry several times. the amount of immersion is insane.
to no surprise, my favorite character is miyuki. he was the know-it-all. he was essentially the rock of seido with his calls. i often found myself wondering how strong seido would be without miyuki. no disrespect to ono; as he proved, and as kataoka also believes, ono is also reliable. but miyuki was just built different bro. anyway, i appreciated his character for not only baseball iq, but his rapid maturity into the captain role, and his flexibility with his juniors. i found his personality very admirable and his logical approach to situations both relatable and reliable. other characters i particularly were fond of were chris and kuramochi. if okumura had more screen time, i could also see him climbing up my list. as someone who had no prior baseball knowledge, daiya/seido as a whole, but particularly chris and miyuki, gave me a newfound respect for and fundmental understanding of baseball.
i think one last thing i wanted to note was that i really don't read manga. but for daiya, im definitely gonna pick up the manga now. i have never done this before for an anime, even others i really liked--hxh, haikyuu, one punch man, etc. i just never felt compelled to read the story further beyond the anime. but for daiya, this is something im willing to do. i just love it that much.
if you are having second thoughts or are debating on watching DnA, def watch it if you do not mind slow burn and can take a realistic approach. on the other hand, i do not recommend if you want to see an OP MC.
~
i am truly a nobody, especially not a professional anime critic LMFAO but i just wanted to vent my thoughts of daiya somewhere :) these are just my personal opinions

…..so when DO the boys see carhop reader again ?
honestly they went straight to mexico city from austin i think but i don’t know if they wen’t straight to vegas from mexico bc there was an off weekend between mexico and vegas. idk what they did after mexico n before vegas tbh i can’t remember?? BUT considering they have a weekend off between those two races i think they’d def take the opportunity to go back to texas. they’d verify w their teams they can get that weekend off and ask her to schedule that weekend off and her coworkers would do it immediately but only if she promises to bring them by.
imagine her picking them up from the airport late at night then stopping by her sonic before it closes and all her friend coworkers are there, she’s weirdly nervous ab it like she’s introducing them to her parents. but tbh you need the cooks approval y’know? after sonic the boys are actually hungry and she refused to eat sonic so the boys waited until they left to eat, but not much is open so girlie takes them to waffle house. she tells them all about the waffle house index, which if you don’t know is an informal way of measuring how bad a disaster is. waffle houses are notoriously open no matter what, so if your waffle house is closed, shit is fucked up. i’ve never seen a closed waffle house in my life. they do limited menus during disasters and have trained teams to reopen, if they do close, asap once safe to do so. live laugh love waffle house.
then as soon as they’re back at the hotel they’re rushing to get her into bed because they’ve missed her.
i think she would take them allll around austin. idk much about it but the things i do know ab it is theres an amusement park where you can go karting!!! also rock climbing, mini golf, laser tag, rides, and those classic prize games. she definitely would have gone growing up its like a tradition imo, everyone goes there at least once. one morning when they’re asking what they can do, she’d passively mention it and they’d get so excited about it and she’s like tired from the night before and doesn’t wanna walk around the park all day, but oscar says he’ll give her a piggyback ride the whole time and she refuses that and goes anyways. despite her saying she can walk, he carries her around for awhile just because he wants to. he would insist that she hop on his back so lando can take their picture at least, but then he doesn’t put her down. they’d go on rides and hold her hand and totally beat her at karting. she hates losing so she casually says they should try the rock climbing next , then absolutely smashes the rock wall. before they’re halfway up, she’s scampered to the top, run the bell then dropped back down.
also would looove them somehow convincing her to go to vegas with them ?? getting her all fucked out so she lets them buy her plane tickets and secure all the paddock passes and the next morning she regrets agreeing to ask her boss for a week off work all of a sudden. oscar and lando would promise passes to the race next year, then have to concede and promise to get standard tickets for the people who will be covering her shifts for the week she’s taking off because her manager will only let her have the time off if she finds someone to cover her.
im not in school so idk how the breaks work but im pretty sure they get time off for thanksgiving, and thanksgiving was the thursday after the vegas race soo lets say she has the following week off school for the holiday so they just have to convince her to take off work for the week. vegas was a weird one. lets say she doesn’t have class fridays so she flies to vegas after class thursday and goes straight to the track to see her boys before practice. they’d have gotten her passes and such so she gets in easily, and someone takes her to the mclaren garage and she gets to see them right before practice starts.
and then it swiftly ended when carlos’s car was annihilated by that drain cover. she’s soo sleepy by that time bc it’s late at night but she just sits and watches her boys work, ignores them telling her she should go to the hotel and rest. she eventually gives in to the idea of napping in oscar’s driver’s room when they come back from their interviews, and she convinces them to go with while they have a little break and lay down with her until the next session.

thank you for replying! -i understand where youre coming from but i feel like some of the points you brought up about scott can't just be boiled down to homophobia if that makes sense- like people see scott as calculated because he calls making allies/friendships a 'social game' etc . and obviously grian and joel berating and teasing jimmy also isn't entirely fine but i think toxicity in the context of an alliance vs a canon-explicit marriage should be weighed differently, but ultimately im not sure that grian is actually necessarily "worse" than scott; while i think grian and joel and jimmy do have an unbalanced dynamic alot of the 'berating' between them is more like 'jimmy you idiot you died to xyz' whereas with scott in 3l it felt a bit more manipulative likewhen scott purposely placed something to scare jimmy and then made fun of him for being scared but. idk
also i think everyone understands that they're friends in real life and nothing ccjimmy is actually uncomfortable with would make it into a video but this is just to think about/interpret their characters within the context of the roleplay/storyline
again this isnt meant as an attack or anything at all - i just wanted to talk about why some people would have a different interpretation of fh!
thats fair, i read ur reply when i was busy i dont remember it well but honestly a fair take ^-^b i dont think it ALL is sorry i didnt make it clear i think the reason its POPULAR is bc scott fans r not rlly the ppl doing this its jimmy fans who dominate the fandom way more, but the fact irs happening to the gay guy IS weird and something to raise a brow to especially when there r more weird extreme fans who take it wayyy too far
it feels unbalanced to me bc it is, grian and joel have more fans in the life series rlly than scott bc most scott fans r just not life series postinfg, so when grian or joel does something mean to others in a similar vien its seen less in a negative light. im going off of memory so forgive me if i get a bit fuzzy w it
scott teases jimmy their friendship is kinda rivalry type thing its rlly just how they r, but ppl r not as used to it which is understandable too. idrc if ppl think scott is a bit manipulative hes just like. vilinized for it or seen as cold when he clearly still cares for his allies? he sacrificed SO much time in lil, he let ppl kill him in secret life, i wish i saw ppl rlly speak more on those better parts of him but also its just more normalized to intpret his actions more cold than it is for say grian who could be seen as cold for how easy he sheds alliances.
every intpretation is fine but w scott it genuinely goes into character bashing territory or just making him the stand in vilian jimmy needs to be saved from in fandom spaces which is agian fine if it happened to other characters who r similarly manipulative or calculating(martyn, scar, impulse even...) but deadass ive never seen anyone but scott put in such a position. which is weird. to me. especially when framed as him being bashed or vilinized for his straight friend who ppl hc he abuses like...ok. but where is the same energy for scar who is deadass evil af in 3rd life and limited life..? scar who destroys the ranch and kills his mother and doesnt apologize for either??? is it bc ppl just like him more so it makes more sense wven he does manipulative stuff??? martyn who is notoriously devisive for his ending and playstyle but in fics like its not great but he tends to not be as hated or put in the same level of bashing pll do for scott? hes prob the closest ive seen to the way scott is seen as an easy stand in vilian but i have not seen it as bad for him?
tho anon no not everyone understands there is a group of ppl who genuinely think scott in real life is an abusive person and actually that inspired my original post bc pll said w their whole chest they think scott is bad and makes jimmy uncomfortable
sorry if this is jumbled the other anon message is turning me into the joker...i get what u mean and i DO think its naunced but ppl REFUSE to acknowledge how weird it can feel for others to see and while i do think there r other factors...this fandom has leaned into homophobia for scott especially more frindge jimmy fans, sorry i think i mixed up a lot of things in my replys i was busy and also i genuinely dont care enough about tumblr anon posting to explain every naunce of an issue ie why i put pearl as a tag on bc the mysongy of all that is not for today thank u ^-^b

A HC:
Werewolves don't actually need the moon to transform, that's just a severe case of the Placebo effect. They can actually transform whenever they like, most of them just don't know it.
If this logic also applies to Werehogs, Shadow has a fluffy werehog to cuddle with whenever he likes. But he must be careful, because Werehogs are notorious for being generally unaware that they are, in fact, beeg.
sonics werehog transformation is connected to dark gaia! not the moon! at the end of the game the dark gaia energy that sonic absorbed was reclaimed thus he never transforms again :( tho im ignoring that and pitching that it never was reclaimed but since light gaia and dark gaia are balanced it would be rare occurrences that he could transform! maybe negative chaos energy can influence dark gaia, maybe mobius has weird events, maybe its when sonic does something bad/bad for his health, maybe probably eggman doing shit etc. sonic knows when its about to happen though, has a weird urge to lurk around outside at night n normally spends it hunting for badniks to smash or generally having fun in a form he rarely gets to experience!
sonic doesn't tell anyone about his werehog form so its a surprise when shadow goes to investigate the strange chaos energy signature and comes across a weird mobian monster that he fights, looses, finds out its sonic, gets cuddled to death and slobbered on :) its a good night!
