Enchant - Do you believe in magic?

Oh I absolutely do. Not maybe in the traditional sense but, I don’t know, perhaps in the sense of I think there are some moments of magic everyday. Like random acts of kindness or laughing so hard you can’t talk. When a pet comes to snuggle you or butt you with their little heads. Seeing a stranger be kind to another or make someone’s day with some little gesture. A bridge of your favourite song that just makes you go pure bonkers for a second. When a little kid says something unexpectedly hilarious. For me it’s just little glimmers moments where something aligns and you get a dynamite shot of pure unbridled happiness? That feels like utter magic to me.

Gory - Do you like horror?

Man I love horror- I love some some slashers, the OG Scream, Halloween, The Fog, John Carpenter classics. I love Tim Burton and his undeniably fall spookiness. I’m not really into the gore fests like Saw or anything like that, or the paranormal demon fuckery like the conjuring, that goes too hard for me. I’m in the classic route for Horror. I like my mild horror. There’s so many I still need to watch. I’ve never seen Coraline, or the Witch. There’s so many more on my list this year. Probably loads I’m forgetting. Anyone feel free to send me recs cause I’m ready for spooky season-

Owl - What creature would you have as a familiar?

I have one I believe. He’s a ten year old West Highland Terrier called Sherlock (Mr. Sherlock if we’re being formal; Shirley whirly whirl if we’re being informal) and he is glued to my side pretty much 24/7 and is about as handy as a piece of wet lettuce but he’s so loving and needy. See pic for reference. He does have eyes it just doesn’t look like it.

I watched the entirety of spn in my own bubble, completely unaware of any actor drama or fandom discourse. and listen, making contact with the spn fandom for the first time was an unparalleled experience. for many reasons.

one was that everyone was apparently speaking in code. J2, J2M, J3, jacting joices, jackles, jarpad, ackleholics, wincesties, destihellers, hellers, AA, misha minions, cockles, bibro, bronlies, EDG, ESG, buckleming, endverse, gencest, weirdcest, weecest, hellatus, fimmf, JIB, deanpala, turbo super hell, ILYSMMBB, jivorce, prequelgate, titsgate... none of these words are in any Holy book. this was my own personal Tower of Babel

Like, was Carry On a technically good episode of television? No. Not on its own, no.

But as an ending to this show, and to the narrative, it was a good ending. A great one, even. Sam had to live. It's his hero's journey. Dean had to die so that Sam could leave the life. If it wasn't Dean, it would've been both of them. It had to be a hunter's death, but a mundane one. It was Jenny so they could bring everything full circle. In Dead Man's Blood, they told us once a vampire has your scent, they can track you for life---they couldn't wrap up all the dangling consequences of the hunts they've had, but this was about a nod to the og, season 1. (It was vampire mimes with masks probably because of COVID.)

Dean confessed his eternal love for baby brother, cuz he's literally about to be caught dead not simping, and we get another reference back to the pilot. He stood outside his dorm for hours! He didn't know what he would've done...if he didn't have him! ILYSMMBB!!

And then, after a long life of Sam raising Dean Jr whilst Dean haunts him by not haunting him (horrifying, thank you, I'm heartbroken (affectionate)), they meet up in heaven. Where Dean has just been driving endlessly waiting for Sam. Where they're dressed like in the pilot and Dean can feel Sam's presence before he looks, because they're freaking soulmates.

Like, it was a BAD singular episode of television, yes; but it was GOOD. Y'know?
