ur so right, I've usually come away from interviews feeling less interested in the job, even the apprenticeship I was trying for I realized maybe I wasn't as dedicated to it as I could've been. so this is all for the best. it's this. this is their whole dynamic 😂😂

RTE has been on Starscream's team since day one; they were on the High Guard together and after the Primes fell, naturally RTE followed Starscream and his goal to take down Sentinel. even though Starscream lost his position as leader, RTE still remains strictly loyal to him, if only because they're both complete enablers to one another.

Starscream pretty much lets RTE do whatever they want, and RTE only takes orders from Starscream-- he's the only 'con who can tell them to do something without having to word it just-so to avoid giving them loopholes. RTE doesn't particularly care about Megatron's gay vendetta ideas and would much rather just wreak havoc, which is something Starscream is good at (especially in his attempts to overthrow Megatron), so they have a mutually beneficial friendship.

they also constantly sass each other. they will shit talk one another and everyone else and think nothing of it. most 'cons are pretty well convinced they practice all their snappy comebacks this way, like some kind of weird "I want your opinion on this."

they're frens and by Primus are they a pain in everybody's aft 💖

3. What are some tropes or details that you think are very characteristic of your fics?

Alright I'm just going to pick a few at random

The lazarus pit doesn't make Jason do anything he didn't want to do. He was convinced when he came back to Gotham that he was justified in what he was doing, and he still thinks that, he just realizes now that he was going about it the wrong way

Tim is usually not doing well, especially in my longer fics.

I'm like, physically incapable of writing good dad Bruce in a long fic. I'm such a sucker for the bats driving Tim away and as a result, driving him to Jason

I also love writing Tim and Jason in denial about their feelings.

Unreliable narrators are my SHIT. I'm such a sucker for it

my long fics usually have some sort of structure to the chapters? Like, Rooftops and Bookshops was before-after in the chapters, Know Yourself is each chapter is one day, What Are You Waiting For is structured with the jumps, etc. Having that structure helps me piece things together (though I wish I'd done Know Yourself differently, now)

6. What’s one fact about the universe of Now Kiss that you didn’t get a chance to mention in the fic itself?

I am absolutely blown away by how much people love that fic? Like it felt so thrown together to me and I was so unsure about the flow and askfllkj whatever people love it and I wouldn't do it differently, I'm just so surprised because I normally edit things to death and with that one I was just like WHATEVER. POST.

Anyways, I just did an entire dump of my angsty thoughts about the universe of Now Kiss in another ask, but I do have a few things that weren't angsty that I never got to mention, so here's one:

when Tim needs a rest badly, the city will storm so hard that no rogue in their right mind (or not in their right mind) would leave their homes, and the city locks Tim inside. It blocks all access to bat communications, and mugs of sleepytime tea will just spawn on the table, and if he tries to power through and not rest, the sleepytime tea may be dosed with sleeping pills.

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

*sigh* a/b/o dynamics. Picture me grumbling this begrudgingly over the lip of a steaming mug of coffee.

It still isn't really for me most of the time, and definitely no hate to people who love it! but if it's done well, I do like it.

that's a tough choice cause this year has been a lot of added f/os and a decent amount of merch to go with dkcjsnxksjdns. buuuuuut I think these are my favorites !!!

king of hearts J'onn card (completely on brand am I right) from @/bludmd23 (I got a TON of merch from them which I'm still sooooo grateful to them for 😭😭 feeding my previously nonexistent collection of husband), as well as Megalo Don's medallion (SimpledecalsUS on Etsy), and of course my Blitzwing charm (hibiscera on Etsy), the latter two of which go everywhere with me 💖

I definitely wish Donnie, Leo, and Meg particularly had more merch, I don't have any ROTTMNT stuff 😔 and man.
