Hoje estou bem, acordei bem e quis ser feliz. Vi recordações do passado, li meu devocional, acordei com amor meu marido, conversei com minha vó pela manhã, lavei minha louça e liguei meu computador para fazer este breve depoimento sobre como foi minha manhã desde que acordei. haha

I have trouble sleeping at night. The emptiness consumes me in pieces, tears me apart. The light through the window crack seeps into the dark room and that's the only thing between me and endless silence. I have seen moments turn into memories. The wishful thinking that everything would get back to how it used to be, lasts about a few seconds and then vanishes into thin air. The outcome of it reflects on my eyes and every second on the clock, it gets more and more difficult to avoid thinking. As I pen this down, I feel succumbed to a never ending loop of loneliness; stuck in a void which keeps getting bigger and the light at the end of the tunnel is about to be diminished soon. I have never felt this before. My thoughts are frozen. I feel suffocated down to my ribs. My heart screams pain and blood. My mind is about to go numb. I want to disappear. I've lost it all. What are you writing this week✍🏽?⁠ -⁠ Sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the lack of existence or erasure of groups like people of color and queer relationships between women, or lgbtq+ relationships that aren't just White men in the fanfiction📚 that I consume.⁠ -⁠ I love the fandoms that I read. I love the friendships and the ships that live in these spaces. However, sometimes when I want to read fics like fluffy teeth rotting ones that happen to involve a person of color, it's like searching for a needle in a haystack if they haven't already been pushed to the margins or vanished from the fandom altogether. ⁠ -⁠ Not to say that there aren't writers telling amazing stories with POCs, with WLW, with disabilities, etc. It's just the constant reminder that there's still work to be done and that talking about these things presents windows of opportunities for us to see the gaps that we can help fill. ⁠ -⁠ I love fanfiction, and I always will, but since I was a kid, I've held on to this fear that I'm not good enough to tell these stories or get the voices right. But what has fear given me? Nothing. As I've said before, this fear of writing serves no one. I'm tired of not existing, I'm tired of being erased, I'm tired of the single narrative. So, what do I do about it?⁠ -⁠ I'm challenging myself to write at least one 100 to 500 word (or more) story every other week in the fandoms I love.
