Stories of the River Severn. I’ve been researching the river and surrounding area and have discovered numerous interesting stories (both fact and fiction), so decided to combine some of them into one image in response to this year’s Cheltenham Illustration Awards. The theme was ‘I am Many Stories’ and the river certainly fits this title-from the story of Hafren (Sabrina), historic battles, tragic accidents and the lives of those who lived (and still live) on or near this waterway.
