Honestly, a person can give someone else infinite chances, but it won't mean anything if they're unwilling to take a chance on themselves. Some people are too cowardly to try even if they want to, even if you leave a door open for them, invite them to have a dialogue, or forgive them for the harm they caused.

After a certain point, it's not a matter of effort on your part.

I think it's really important to remember that some people genuinely hate themselves. So, those sorts of people don't trick others into hating themselves as well.

What I'm saying is sometimes, instead of saying, "It's not you, it's me."

At a point, it's much healthier to go,

"It's not me it's you. It doesn't always have to be you. However, in this situation, it was. I have no energy to spare the feelings of someone who wouldn't even take a second to consider mine. Certainly, you won't be a bad person every day, but in my eyes, you definitely were one today."

Then move on because no amount of affection, time, and energy you put into another person will change how they feel about themselves. At worst, they'll just start projecting that hate onto you. There's no secret amount of positive words from the outside that can negate self-hate. There's no amount of paint that can stop the wood from rotting.

Just had one of the most experiences while eating dinner. I had watched 'I saw the TV glow' like two hours earlier and while I didn't dislike it I wasn't that crazy about it (and gave it a 3.5/5 on letterboxed). And then I started crying while thinking about that movie and had to dry my tears while eating and my stomach was rumbling bc I hadn't eaten much all day but I kept crying while I ate.

And then my mom saw me crying and asked me what was up and she didn't believe me when I told her it was about the movie (cuz I had watched it 2 hours earlier) so I had to explain the movie to her while atill eating dinner and. Yeah.

Having lived in multiple shelters over my lifetime, I can 100% guarantee most folks choose the overpass because at least 2-3 different people at the shelter made them feel incredibly unsafe and/or uncomfortable and they feel safer under a fucking overpass. And, at the very least, one of those people is almost always a STAFF MEMBER.

Also, like, I'm sorry but if you've set up a free shelter, and people refuse to go because sleeping on the sidewalk under a freeway bridge is more pleasant, that's fucking on you, that's not on them.

You really can't compete with sleeping under the overpass so you are going to force people into shelter?

You remain unfazed while Teru stood there still frozen from how he couldn't feel anything from the contact

the proof was right on his face yet he seeks more excuses .

He denied it. How you complained about how your friends ignored you, how you always feel cold these days, how you're never hungry or thirsty, how you would smile and say your body never hurts anymore. Each and every change that you present to him he ignored. He ignored every sign.

Perhaps he wanted to keep you longer than you should've lingered.

But with this simple gesture, it feels like reality is forcing him to wake up out of his stupid dream and just end your suffering.

Funny how he never once thought there would be a future where he is not by your side, yet now maybe it felt like a distant dream.

He tried to remember that day again, closing his eyes, not wanting you to see how reddened his eyes are now

With each and every thump on his chest, he can't bring himself to do it, he fell to the ground clutching his chest, his katana made a loud clunk when it collided to a stone, making it ring through the garden in an eerie way

Question with NRC!Yuu x Azul: does being half kitsune mean that their kids start shapeshifting earlier? Do they just go from mer to human to fox at random intervals? If yes, at what age do they learn to control it 🤔 ?

I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT

With the NRC!Yuu AU, they go the pregnancy route instead of the egg route like in canon, so the babies would be born as kitsune. Since their 'human' form is just an elaborate illussion spell kitsune maintain to better blend in with other humans, the kids wouldn't be able to transform until they're older. As for their octomer forms, though...

since these are considered their 'natural' states, it wouldn't be too far-fetched to think that they'd sometimes accidentally transform back and forth. I hold the hc that hybrid mer babies only start learning to control their transformations at around 6-9 months (around when fine motor skills and more advanced motion develop) so I can see them sometimes transforming randomly into either forms involuntarily.

I'm sure it would be very uncomfortable for parents and kids alike, especially since kitsune/octomer hybrid kids would be exceptionally rare lmao

ANYWAYS I finally decided on the design patterns for the azuyuu kids' octomer color patterns! I based them off harlequin octopuses hehe
