Why tf is this light mage so extra?
Slight design updates to Espresso bc the og character ref throws me off, and some cookie test versions!

Okay cool, hi hello. I'm so normal about the little worlds in my head.
I know this is a reverse au(?) Kind of thing but I don't think it would be a 1 to 1 thing, that gets a bit boring ykno? Here's some character notes tho!
Madeleine: a lot more cool and collected but still gets heated when his appearance or state of dress is mocked. Insomniac who stays up reading and taking notes (yet still has better eyes than Espresso somehow), he is one of the highest ranking light mages. Mostly uses magic in combat but his hair pin is actually a dagger for emergency use (of course sheathed so he isn't cutting his hair when he puts it in.) His magic is light mostly but I'm a sucker for fire magic, so a mix of the two depending on use.
Espresso: reserved at first but once he opens up he's a dork. Eye sight is still really damn bad, he wears glasses when he's at home but keeps them off when he's out. Keeps insulting Madeleine on accident (sometimes) telling him he dresses like a circus act, poking at his sleep schedule, etc. He ranks much lower and is less proficient with his magic, but is still a commanding officer. I like the idea of him being smith and maybe crafting/repairing his own gear. It would explain the lack of pizazz on it as he's not one for aesthetics with that poor eye sight.
Probably will ramble and do some world building next as a LOT has changed there. Ty for reading if you did! ❤️

hi hi! ^-^/ it's tedious time-consuming work but thinking about The OCs™ I lovingly made and people maybe liking them all one day is what drives me when i get lazy or wonder why im doing this fr.
honestly i always want to talk about em here, but there's a part of me that doesnt want to spoil too much or 'ruin' the surprise for others yknow?

but overall there's been pretty good progress on art and writing. been trying to focus more-so on the writing for a good while though, it's hard when you get distracted easy and lack discipline </3 </3 </3 but its getting there!
