In short… my blog is just for fun. Funny observations, silly jokes, comparisons and analysis just because I like it. And… to express emotions. Sometimes I write short stories, but nothing major, I make summaries to fill in the gaps in the translations. And since I am reading several games at the time, my posts change from game to game pretty randomly. Again… it's just for fun, mine and everyone else who wants to follow my example. I'm not a native speaker of either English or Japanese. I don't know Japanese at all, but I have my own ideas about how this language works, because I started learning Korean, and these languages have some similarities. Based on that, there may most likely be errors in my translations/posts. I use translation app (two actually) and rewrite the text to a readable state. Some phrases are not clear to begin with, and I use my gut feeling and some experience of reading such poorly translated texts that have taught me to see meaning in them. My summaries are always full of my comments and jokes. If you prefer a clean translation, then you definitely won't like it. So… you have every right not to trust my translations. I do them so that others can familiarize themselves with the events and main routes. Not in detail, but in general. I don't have enough knowledge for more.

There are several people who do full translations, and I am very grateful to them for what they do. The Obsidian ballroom is so rarely used for it's intended purpose. Instead, it had been home to brutal displays of corrupt nobility, and only in its recent years had that filth been scrubbed clean, ordered by the last prince of the Obsidian family. A man who spent countless days in his childhood wishing to be able to dance in such a room with his beloved. Spending long evenings learning each dance, practicing to become perfect for his future bride. Who finally, finally, was able to live out that dream.

With a heavy creak, embellished doors slowly open, drawing giggles and shushing into the wide room. Little hands push as hard as they might against the oak doors, before bigger, gloved hands push the rest of it open. Within moments, a small gasp rings out, followed by hurried steps out to the middle of the floor. It's followed by Gilbert's, along with the thump of his cane.

The young Obsidian princess looks around the room with bright eyes, twirling to take in all the windows and decor have to offer. At last, she stops to look at her father, excitement gleaming.

"You'll really teach me?"

"I don't lie, little bunny." He teases, unlatching his cloak to set aside for now, "your uncle Roderic says you've been doing well on your studies, and I always follow through on my promises."

Giddy, she bounces in place for a few seconds, getting her burst of excitement tamed, "how will you teach me?"

Gilbert smiles, standing in front of his daughter with his hand outstretched, bowing slightly with an arm behind him. She giggles, mimicking him in a curtsy before taking his hand with her smaller one. In seconds, Gilbert draws her closer, chuckling as he encourages her to place her feet on top of his.

"Hold on, and pay attention to how your feet move. Remember the pacing."

With a carefulness no one would have expected from the man with countless bodies lay to rest in his past, he steps around the ballroom with his daughter in tow, counting the steps in a quiet one, two, three before dissolving into humming a tune with the same pattern.

His daughter clutches tightly, smile never leaving her face. It's only when he picks her up to twirl her that she erupts into laughter again. At last, they take a moment to rest, attention caught by the view the room brings.

Gilbert pats her on the head lightly, musing privately about the history of this room, now washed away by the memories of his loved ones.

"Where's mama?"

"She's busy making a surprise gift for me, but don't tell her that I know," he presses a finger to his lips, smiling when she nods in agreement, "why do you ask?"

"Can I watch you and mama dance? I promise I won't interupt! I bet I can even play my violin for you to dance to!"

"Hehe, of course. But we'll have lots of kisses while doing so."

"Ewww, gross!" She pulls a face, and the two of them dissolve into laughter.

Ikemen Vampire - Jean x Vincent x Reader

Another fic from my old drafts and for this triad's series, this time about telling Theo of their relationship

“Where is Hondje?”

Vincent turned to Theo, who was looking around the dining room. It was strange that his brother was so worried about your absence, but Theo had been a little weird all week.

The heavy sigh escaped before he could contain it, catching Theo’s attention. Vincent didn’t like hiding things from his younger brother, but he also promised to keep a secret of their relationship until Jean was ready.

“It’s her day off. She left for town quite early this morning. I couldn’t go with her because I have a painting I’m almost finished with.”

Vincent didn’t expect that half explanation to work, but Theo smiled at him.

“I can’t wait to see your new painting. Although I’m surprised you will finish in time for the new exhibition. I know you have been working, but I haven’t seen anything from you since you told me Jean agreed to model for you.”

“I’ve been practicing anatomy with Jean as my male model, but he’s not quite ready for me to share the only work I have finished, and I’m not satisfied with the other attempts. But I was really inspired with this last work and I can’t wait to show you. I might even finish it before you come home.”

After that, their interaction during the rest of breakfast returned to normal. But Vincent was still anxious, knowing the distraction wouldn’t work for long.

He’d never felt so anxious and divided before, and he didn’t know how to deal with it.

After breakfast, Vincent returned to his room yo go back to his painting, in time to spot Theo boarding a carriage on his way to work.

“Sorry Theo.” Vincent muttered to the quiet room. “I will tell you as soon as I can.”

But Vincent had no idea when that would be.

He understood Jean’s hesitance. Every step of their relationship had been difficult, especially Jean accepting that you and Vincent were really in love with him, and even more that he actually returned your feelings.

Vincent also understood Jean being afraid of revealing their unusual relationship to people. If it were anyone else, Vincent wouldn’t be so willing to share. But he trusted his housemates, especially his brother, while Jean was only starting to build some semblance of a relationship with them.

But maybe it was time to talk to Jean again, when his boyfriend came back. With some luck, that would be before Theo.

Vincent didn’t have such luck, though. With the painting soon finished, he started cleaning his room a little - it was mostly his studio at this point, since he only slept in it when sleeping alone - and when he was almost done, his brother practically burst in.

The first thing Vincent thought when seeing the conflict in his brother’s face was that something had gone wrong with the exhibition. Theo usually didn’t let it phase him, but he couldn’t think of anything else.

“Theo? What happened?”

Theo took a step in, closed the door behind him and sighed. He looked angry and sad.

“I should ask you. What happened between you and Hondje? What did she do?”

That was what he feared. Theo was getting too suspicious, and now he probably had figured things out, but just half of it.

“She did nothing, Theo. Why do you think she did?”

“I wasn’t the only one who noticed, but she has been spending a lot of time with Jean, and I saw them together in town.”

“They must have stopped by the cafe we found out a while ago. Is there something wrong with that?”

Vincent only needed Theo to trust him for one more night so he could talk to Jean.

“I didn’t think so. Jean doesn’t seem like he would do anything wrong, and I trusted you with Hondje because she’s not the kind of girl to do so either. But the way I saw them today…. I still don’t think they would do something behind your back, so I just want to know what happened.”

Theo was surprisingly not as angry as Vincent expected. He definitely trusted you and understood Jean enough. He was trying to be understanding instead of confronting you directly and probably aggressively.

“I would tell you if something wrong happened, Theo.” Vincent smiled, trying to find the right words that would give him more time without lying to Theo or having him change his mind and confront one of you. “Everything is fine. We just…”

But he was interrupted by a knock on the door that was almost immediately opened as a familiar voice called for him.

“We’re back, and we bought the desserts you like. She asked me to come get you.” Jean walked up to him as if he hadn’t even noticed Theo, and gave him a fluttery kiss.

There was a long silence in which neither Vincent nor Theo reacted, and Jean didn’t seem bothered. Not until Theo finally recovered from the shock and grabbed Jean, pulling him away.

“You’re welcome to join us, Theo. We brought sweets you might like. And we hoped to talk to you.”

“Thank you, Jean.” Vincent smiled. This was not what he expected, but the way Jean smiled back made him sure everything would be fine.

The dining room was empty save from you. Surprisingly, when you were just bringing in fresh coffee.

Upon noticing Theo, you looked at Jean, who gave you a firm nod, and Vincent understood his boyfriend’s decision wasn’t sudden and Theo had just come in before the two of you could talk to him. That made him feel even better about the situation.

“We didn’t think you would be back already.” You told Theo, putting sugar on a cup of coffee for him. “But we have enough coffee and sweets.” You gestured for him to take a seat, and when he did, you approached Vincent and also gave him a soft kiss, also serving his coffee.

Vincent sat by Theo’s side, while you and Jean sat in front of them. Theo’s eyes darted from one of you to the other for a moment, before he took a sip of his coffee and finally spoke up.

“Alright, what’s happening here?” His attention turned to Vincent. “I thought you and Hondje were together. Everyone thinks she and Jean are. But in your room, Jean kissed you…”

“All options are correct.” You cut him.

“What do you mean?”

“I know it will feel weird at first. It did for me.” Vincent explained. “I never considered this was an option. That this was possible. But the three of us are together.”

“That makes no sense.”

“I thought so too.” Jean told him. “That’s why this relationship has been difficult for me to navigate. And why I asked Vincent not to tell you yet.”

“Mine and Vincent’s relationship is still the same. But now both of us have a new relationship with Jean. Some people are just capable of having romantic feelings for more than one person.”

Theo fell silent for a moment, looked at each of you, his attention falling on Vincent last.

“It makes no sense to me. But are you sure of this? You know people won’t think it’s normal. This will come with problems and sacrifices.”

“I am sure, Theo. And nothing in our life has been normal for years.” Vincent smiled at his partners, then at his brothers. He imagined it would be difficult to understand, but knew Theo would be that accepting. His younger brother was a little too protective at times, but he just wanted to see Vincent happy and safe. “I love both of them, and although a little difficult, things have been going great for us.”

Theo nodded slowly, then looked at Jean.

“I hope you will be good to my brother.”

“He’s the one who’s been too good to me. Both of them have. And I will do everything I can to keep them happy and safe.”

“I hope so. I’m just glad I was right about all the residents’ gossip being foolish. You caused quite a ruckus with this.”

“We will dispel this soon.” Jean reassured him. “But can you not tell them until we do?”

“Fine. I guess that’s what family is for.”

A ranking of the crushes of ALL the games I've ever played?? That’s a lot! I can mention maybe only the ones I remember because I've played a tons of japanese otome in the years and I will never remember everyone 😅. And we're talking about the crushes specifically, right? Meaning their looks and personality not the route/story. Premise Details

Your memory is hazy at best, with entire parts of it being missing at worst. All that you know is that the shop in front of you is calling out to you and that you can't refuse its invitation...

The man you meet inside appears to be quite familiar with you. Moreover, you can tell he knows things that you don't. This reality... doesn't seem quite real.

Your objective is to try and find out what exactly has happened and how are you all connected to each other. Lose yourself while circling between different shops... And escape, if you can.

note: it’s been a hot minute since i wrote stuff for ikevam, and i have never wrote anything for ikevil or twst yet… so i hope you can excuse some ooc if you do request from those fandoms, but i do accept feedback for those and would encourage requests from those fandoms — so i can get some practice. and for idv, i have more experience in some characters over others (you’ll know who at a glance).

IkeSen Routes completed:

Masamune: romantic | dramatic | eternal (fav guy and fav routes)

Shingen: romantic | dramatic (not my type but damn I'd be lying if I say I didn't fall for him in his routes)

Nobunaga: romantic | dramatic (rather have you as an older brother figure, but you sure can be fun). sign me up for a late-night konpeito heist.

Sasuke: Romantic & Dramatic (routes SUPER fun. Guy's also super fun). Preferance: dramatic. Side story for both full love bonus is awesome!

Mitsunari: Romantic (the incomparable angel)

Keiji: Romantic (feeling: complicated. Sometimes I hate him, other times I like him well enough. His route is different but in a good way I guess?)

Kenshin: Romantic, Dramatic. (was worried but I think I like MC in his route. Ngl did fall for him despite his yandere-ing. Although, it's probably because I expected worse). Prefer his romantic cause we get to see them all plotting to bring him back, Mai as the Goddess of War. Ah, that was such a cool scene.

Motonari: Dramatic | Romantic (boy is he wild. But nope, not my thing - looks hot tho). I surprised myself by finishing both his routes this early hahah. Liked him much better on my 2nd gameplay but gosh will I always dislike that first couple of chapters.

Hideyoshi: Romantic | Dramatic (an extremely much needed break after the prev 3 guys. Worried I would dislike his route. But I love it. Him too. Very much. Fav parts: MC saying she will not send him a letter & her threatening Mitsuhide)

Ieyasu: Dramatic | Romantic Annnd that's my first Ieyasu route completed (dramatic). Enjoyed it more than I expected since Tsunderes aren't my thing, I was worried that I would've dislike his route but it turns out alright. I am a little sad that there weren't much of Sasuke fanboying moments but yeah overall things are still fine. Not sure yet how it goes in my ranking of routes I've done tho. Romatic: i've left it too long between reading and writing this.. so I'm sorry but I really forgot how things go. BUT. I think I enjoyed dramatic more.

Yoshimoto: Romantic (very dramatic. And it's not even the dramatic route. I love it.)

Yukimura: Dramatic | Dramatic (sometimes, you need to get yourself an awkward, tactless, yet super sweet guy who'll chase after you and call you dummy. Not fav LI but my 2nd fav route to play).

Mitsuhide: romantic. ohoho. I am warming up to this guy.

Kanetsugu: dramatic | romantic. His smile. His SMILE. I melt every time. Both routes were awesome! But I'll pick dramatic over romantic cause of that one Azuchi mother hen-ing scene 😂

Kennyo: Dramatic. That was pretty good actually.

IkeVamp Routes completed:

Leonardo: romantic | dramatic (is he the sweetest guy ever or is there someone who competes for this position?)

Vlad: dramatic (quite the bittersweet route. I love him)

Jean: romantic (boy be breaking my heart with his story. Extra love given to this man.)

Napoleon: dramatic. A lovely, lighter, more humorous read (compared to previous two).

Isaac: dramatic & romantic (adorable 100%. Need I say more?)

Dazai: romantic (thoughts tbc)

Faust: dramatic. Welp, this is one dramatic, red-flagged guy. Kidnapping, threats, dubious consent (?). Then again, it's pretty much expected/we've been warned. I donno but I was quite excited about playing his route but now that I've finished it.. I donno. I thought I would've enjoyed it more maybe? (This is why expectations are dangerous). I like the drama esp that beginning and learning about his softer sides especially with his interactions with the orphanage children (I love these scenes) but, I'm feeling like there's something.. missing. Maybe it's just me these past month because it has been a very busy, full of change month for me outside of my otome games. Im just here trying to divide my braincell for everything 🙃 . I'll replay his route once I'm properly settled in.

Arthur: Romantic. I love his route, how complicated things are between him and his past and him and Emma. With their very rocky start, how the comes to be be friends and their feelings, all to aware that both could not hope to fall in love with the other. Despite the complications, things aren't messy (I'm not refering to how Arthur himself's a mess). I think the route's written quite well, and it really does messes with your feelings (I like routes that gives me strong feelings, good and bad)

Theo: Romantic. Love how he's so insistent at going to the future for MC. I haven't seen any in Sengoku (not incl sasuke cause he future person) or other Vampire suitors yet that offers to do so. Overall, I enjoyed his route. I wish there were more..

Shakespeare: Dramatic. It's awesome.

Charles: Romantic. Ugly-crying almost the whole time. Is it my hormones? Is it purely Charles? I'll never truly know. But I love his route, though I'll never forgive cybird for that one chapter for toying with my emotions like that.

Vincent: Dramatic. Pretty lovely. It has that pure, gentle feeling like the man himself. Oh but I didn't think I would hate Shakespeare as much as I did in this route. Well, it's for the plot after all.

Comte: it was a fun ride. Got so many new dresses 😌

Interlude: very enjoyable. Nice seeing lots of friendship/family dynamics and more of everyone

IkeVill routes completed:

William Rex: Mad love - I like the story. Warming up to the game and concepts. Guy wise, it's kinda hard to get a proper sense of him through translation apps but I might put him on my like-as-friends or neutral acquaintance group.

Liam Evans: Both Ends - my fav being Blind End. best boy 😭 the sweetest man I could ever ask for. But oh the pain, the hurt, the tragic backstories. The amount of times I cried.

Harrison Gray: Blind Love - did a speed run through so can't remember much right now since I am updating this like after finishing a whole different route later. But. I remember thinking that it gives the most adventurous feeling between the others I've played.

Elbert Greetia: Mad Love - Quite enjoyed the route, though El's back story was disturbing. Love the whole El, Al, and Kate relationship side of things.

Koihana Bakumeiroku

Hijikata - First route I've ever finished and well, there were parts I was confused about but did figured out in other routes I have not finished playing yet (Kido and Katsu). I liked it.

"Find The Chev!"

Inspired by @minsharkie due to her super cute papercrafts, and a discussion in my ikepri/ikevamp server where @solomons-poison brought up a cute idea of the Clavis papercraft sitting on top of Sariel's paperwork.

You didn't have much free time on your hands, not really, but you felt inspired one day after watching Clavis make some of his... creations... With some inks and stiff paper you found around the palace, you set to work with a dastardly deed of your own: capturing Chevalier's likeness in a cute, mini version of him. And after Clavis laid his eyes upon it, a mixture of mischief and jealousy flashed in his eyes.

From that moment on, he came up with a new game to play around the palace in hopes of annoying his brother, lovingly dubbed 'Find The Chev!'

It starts off, well... Chaotically.

At first, the little Chev would be found in places accompanied by Clavis' traps: near nets that were ready to drop, right in front of a pitfall, and the worst was in the (unlit) fireplace.

That was when you huffed, dusting the soot from your cute creation. After a few touch ups and a new paper cape for the mini beast, you told Clavis you put too much work into this just to have it sullied in such a way.

From that point on, little Chev traveled to much safer places, and the game restarted in a trap-free style. Each of the princes had gathered wind of this game by now, and it became a daily habit for whoever to find him to share where he found them with the others (and perhaps with a hint of where to find him next)

Leon found him at the training grounds, fit with a crudely made paper sword of his own by the rest of the weapons. He brought the news with a chuckle, joking that it was the first time he saw Chevalier with a sword drawn and no bloodshed.

Jin found him in Leon's fraction's office, balancing at the very tip of the messiest pile in the room. He seemed oddly relieved that he wasn't hiding elsewhere in the room, rather than ashamed at the mess.

Chevalier found him in his favorite reading spot in the gardens, returning him to you with his normal frown. Yet the mini version of him returned with a petal on his head, unharmed and in pristine condition, faintly smelling of roses.

Nokto found little Chev near his favorite 'reading' spot in the library, late at night. He didn't deliver this news until the morning after, but reported that the mini King Highness was reading a book of his own, with a little heart drawn on it.

Licht found him next in the stables, balancing carefully on the divider separating the other horses with his. He found it odd that it was there, but mumbled that little Chev was safe ontop a crude wooden horse of his own.

Yves brought word of little Chev's next adventure as he gave you some sweets to 'sample', saying he found him next to his baking supplies. He did not confirm or deny if the little Chev helped him bake the sweets he presented, bristling with a blush instead.

Luke yawned as he patted your head, asking if you knew why little Chev was hidden away in his favorite sleeping spot. When you had no answer, he simply shrugged and grinned, letting you know he found him with a little blanket of his own to join in on Luke's nap.

Sariel mentioned it at the end of a lesson, cleaning up the papers you two had used. This time, little Chev was found next to a secret bottle of Sariel's, leaning up against it as though he had sipped from it's contents. ... You sweated during the interaction, having to convince him you truly had no idea who hid it that time around.

Keith brought news of the surprise tea time guest, nestled between various sweets that Yves had made. Little Chev smelled faintly of tea, he reported, and seemed to be in good spirits.

Gilbert found him on top of the chess board him and Chevalier play on. He presented him to you with a grin, making note that the little Chev had taken place of the king, and was toppled over. You weren't too happy with the implications, but found relief that he only came accompanied with a white piece from that set.

Silvio had his hands on his hips when we informed you of finding your 'weird toy' in the spare room he had been holding meetings with merchants in. His frown got worse when he said the gaudy paper necklace he wore wasn't funny in the slightest.

And Rio found him on your breakfast tray, serving him to you with a wink. There, little Chev accompanied your morning tea and pastry, ready for you to take him on his next adventure.

Clavis putting him in the fireplace was meant to be a joke about how he feels about chev's actions, but it was unlit and he never wanted to bring actual harm to it (why would he do that to smth you made!!)

Anyway this was fun! I thought this was a cute idea, and I had fun imagining the little trips lil Chev could have gone on. I thought any trips into town would be risky, so I kept it limited to just around the castle(palace?) grounds.

I am imagining that lil Chev has a resting place that is easy for anyone to nab without spoiling the fun of Who Did It This Time, complete with a note beside it to Please keep him safe on his travels. Each time he is returned to you, you debate on leaving him there or taking a turn at hiding him again.
