saur— life / activity update: i will most likely be working 3pm-11pm est sunday-thursday starting on aug 7th if everything works out. but before that takes place, i need a mental reset. i got new meds and their side effects make me nauseous and very anxious but the alternative is having a migraine that literally makes me blind in my left eye from the pain and auras i get.. so i guess it's better? anyway... i'm going to be focusing on my self care, resting and getting ready for a work and sleep schedule adjustment. my fiancé is also dealing with some rough work changes and most likely will be self-isolating to recuperate which gives me time to focus more on some writing since i'll have more alone time for a bit SHFHSHD while we both take care of ourselves respectively !

all is well in my side of the neighborhood im just hunkering down for the time being since big changes to routines are difficult for me but it's a welcome change. my social battery is also kinda drained and my fixations are primarily focused on fc5 and elden ring rn so forgive me as i take a bit of a step back from the horrors (and substitute it for religious trauma and eldritch beasts i guess?)

okay yeah no the Seblos tag is DEFINITELY being sus - I saw some posts but was getting lag so I went to clear out some space on my phone, came back and went back to it and the latest posts were different. I don't know if the first one was a glitch or the second one it blocked some posts or something but it's certainly weird

Cas does care about Crowley; I think he realizes that sometime around s6, but to accept that would be to acknowledge that a lot of his actions are motivated by selfishness more so than a desire to do the right thing. The cognitive dissonance that causes, especially after TMWWBK, is why he convinces himself that what he feels for Crowley is hatred and betrayal - anything more would require a level of introspection and self-acceptance that he’s not prepared to deal with.

This is, in many ways, a result of the fact that he’s learnt how to be human from Dean, who has passed on his rigid, black-and-white mindset that for someone do bad things they must either be inherently evil or devoid of agency. There’s no space in Dean’s, and therefore Cas’, worldview for good people to simply make mistakes, so to keep himself from mirroring Dean’s spiral into self-loathing he must believe that he had no say in the events of seasons 6 and 7. Crowley never forced Cas to make any of the choices he did, only offered them up as possibilities, but that requires acknowledging the consequences of his actions, and it’s far easier to see a demon as inherently evil than to take the same view of himself.
