Yeah like... The wedding does kinda imply a 'happy ending' there aka them being together now and while I don't like the ship I'd be fine with it if it worked for me narratively (it doesn't in IJ4)

Having managed to learn that there would be a fifth Indiana Jones only yesterday I’m gonna take this opportunity to state that Indy’s son was actually a good character and one of the fourth Indiana Jones’s very few good ideas.

Kid loved his mom, drove his motorbike in a library, called Indy a graverobber AND had transmasc swag.

TBH now that I think about it. According to Kingdom of Crystal Skull Indy and Marion were planning to get married in 1937 but apparently Indy never thought to invite his dad to the wedding? Like their relationship was cold but not the type where Indy would not invite his dad to his wedding I don't think?

Realistic running and smooth crouch system

Crouch System:

First create a left ctrl input that will connect to two new Booleans called Is Crouched, on the pressed it will connect to a is crouched that is ticked and the released will connect to a is crouched which will be unticked.

Now add a timeline in and connect the ticked is crouched to the play and connect the unticked is crouched to the reverse.

In the timeline you will make one keyframe at 0,0 and the one at 1 and the length will be 0.30.

Now follow this code

Now you have a fully working crouch system!

Running [with camera] system:

First we need to make sure we have a walk speed variable and sprint speed variable. My default values are whatever I want the speeds to be. For me I have my walk speed as 600 and my sprint speed at 1500.

Once you have the variables follow this code.

For this part you wont have the camera shake as you are still yet to make it so dont worry about the camera shake part as you will make it in a few steps.

For this step you wont have the camera shake so dont worry about that node as we still need to make the camera shake

Now to make the camera shake we need o first make a new bluepint class and search for “camera shake” and select that then just name it camera shake for run or something like that.

If you double click on the camera shake a lot of options will pop up and you will have the ability to make a lot of adjustments, for now you can copy the one in the imagine and afterwards you can change it to fit your own needs.

Now you can sort out your camera shake nodes fully.

Now you have a fully working running system with a camera shake!

Yeah I think what complicates things a bit is that unlike the movies that included much more input from Spielberg and Ford the tv show was Lucas's baby...

He certainly had his ideas about Indy's life but as they started to make movies again with IJ4 he might not have been able to make them into reality if the other creative forces disagreed, so him making the 90's segments ambiguously canon might have a lot to do with that too

What is your headcanon for Spalko’s backstory (if you have one, haha)?

Hm when I have written her I have done it in AUs so...

I guess I just go with what we find out about her backstory in the movie and a bit more of her in the novelization. She's originally from Ukraine, travelled around the world and studied under experts on parapsychology and such, worked for KGB, was a military scientist.

A thing I like in the movie is that it does leave really vague on whether she actually has psychic powers, and you could take her being unable to communicate with the skull as proof of her having less of a power than most people do.

I have played with the idea that she is special but in that her link to collective subconscious is weaker or non existent compared to the majority of people.
