What is your headcanon for Spalko’s backstory (if you have one, haha)?

Hm when I have written her I have done it in AUs so...

I guess I just go with what we find out about her backstory in the movie and a bit more of her in the novelization. She's originally from Ukraine, travelled around the world and studied under experts on parapsychology and such, worked for KGB, was a military scientist.

A thing I like in the movie is that it does leave really vague on whether she actually has psychic powers, and you could take her being unable to communicate with the skull as proof of her having less of a power than most people do.

I have played with the idea that she is special but in that her link to collective subconscious is weaker or non existent compared to the majority of people.
