'Andrew Scott has joined the cast of “Wake Up Dead Man,” the latest installment in the “Knives Out” whodunnit series, according to Variety.
Scott, a native of Dublin, will feature in the new film alongside Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny, while Daniel Craig is reprising his role as Benoit Blanc.
It'll be an on-screen reunion for Scott and Craig, who both featured in the 2015 James Bond film "Spectre."
Details on Scott’s role in "Wake Up Dead Man" are under wraps at the moment.
Scott joining the "Wake Up Dead Man" cast is the latest step in the Irish actor's rise to fame. Last month, the limited series "Ripley," in which he stars as Tom Ripley, cracked the top 10 on Netflix.
Earlier this year, Scott landed a Golden Globe nomination for his role opposite Paul Mescal in "All of Us Strangers." It was his second Golden Globe nomination following the nod for his turn as the 'Hot Priest' in the smash hit series "Fleabag."
Also this year, Scott became the first person to win the Critics’ Circle Best Actor prize in both theatre ("Vanya") and film ("All of Us Strangers") in the same year.
Scott has won two IFTAs ("Black Mirror" and "Sherlock") and has been nominated for several others, and was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy for his spot on "Black Mirror."...'

The IFTAS (Irish Film & Television Awards) were this week and it was so nice to see the Irish international stars - Cillian Murphy, Saoirse Ronan, Andrew Scott, Sharon Horgan, Nicola Coughlan etc - at home at the same time, along with the upcoming biggies like Anthony Boyle and Lola Petticrew. But most importantly, Cillian's Peaky haircut has grown out, which means one thing....we're getting closer & closer to the Peaky movie!!

Well done to all involved with Small Things Like These at the IFTAs!
I'll admit, I thought one of the lads from Kneecap would scoop the award, but of course our man Cillian bagged it. I wonder if he got wind of Mo Chara's joke about him being short yet?!

My brief notes on day 1 of Fediforum Sep 2024
A brief summary of what I learned at #Fediforum day 1
[I don’t know whether I’ll write about each day of Fediforum individually… and I expect to be posting less regularly for a week or so, due to other things going on…] Photo by Lisa Fotios on Pexels.com Today was the first day of the fourth edition of #Fediforum – an unconference that brings together folks who are building, using, advocating, and learning about the Fediverse and the platforms…

Caitriona not wearing her wedding or engagement rings has now been DEBUNKED: She's wearing them tonight at the IFTAS. 👇
Tumblr media
Imma pretend here she's giving the haters the middle finger. 😁 👇
Tumblr media
Did you see Deuxmoi blind posting concerning Caitrionia not wearing her wedding ring?
No, but thanks for pointing it out. Anon is referring to this blind item on the celebrity gossip site, Deuxmoi. 👇
Tumblr media
I'm chalking that submission to Deuxmoi as a SamCait shipper trying to stir the pot. If there was trouble in paradise for Caitriona and Tony, I HIGHLY doubt she would have said her biggest fan is her husband when asked on the red carpet at the Critics Choice Awards LAST WEEK. Check it out. 👇
youtube
If she and Tony were having problems, she could have deflected the question, said it was her family, or even said her biggest fan was her son. But she didn't. Without hesitation, she mentioned her HUSBAND. Literally last weekend.
Cait and Tony have known each other a LONG TIME. They are married, have a son together, own businesses together, own houses together, and she has more time now that Outlander is over to be with her little family PRIVATELY. Tony has been supporting her at PUBLIC events for 10 YEARS, maybe he needed a break, or is doing stuff related to his life, or maybe their son was sick and he stayed home with him. Who knows. And she doesn't always wear her wedding and engagement rings. There have been other events where she didn't wear them or wore other jewelry a designer provided to complete her look. Who knows. But what I DO know is the FACT that Caitriona mentioned her HUSBAND one week ago. ONE WEEK AGO That would indicate they're together. 🤷‍♀️

IFTA musical chairs game
Look no further, The Numero Uno Fan was not there. And may I ask you, ladies, one more time - why?
It was in Ireland - a place where she used to parade him on the regular, contrived paparazzi pics on top. The IFTA awards were, by now, a very familiar (and dreaded, by us) Narrative Playground, so an easy assignment of sorts. IFTA 2023, those looks that made Mordor weep with joy. IFTA 2024 and those elusive pics that appeared a bit later, to BIF's delight (their in-house vigilantes were at the ready, of course).
IFTA 2025? Radio Ga-Ga, Radio Goo Goo. Radio Silence. She wants, perhaps, to break free?
She was presenting - not a small feat: where is the devoted, supportive and understanding husband?
It was on Valentine's Day, for crying out loud. Riddle me this, as honestly as you can, please. I can't see why. I am stupid, for sure.
But my faithful eagle-eyed friend had a closer look and we can now substantiate. We agreed to post only after I vetted it myself, same old, same tedious process (download -> slow down the reels -> catch the second on a screenshot as clearly as possible). So here is what we have and it is loud and clear, my friends.
First on our list was Saoirse Ronan's Best Supporting Actress award acceptance speech. You can watch it on Youtube:
youtube
Saoirse was seated on C's right side, at the same table and on her own left was a lady wearing glasses, lest some would be foolish enough to think it was McGill. We can see that lady here (blue arrow) and on the right (red arrow) C's extravagant silver sleeve:
Tumblr media
The lucky nominee raises and hey, hello:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the end of her speech, we see the chair empty:
Tumblr media
It did not stay like this all night. By the time Cillian Murphy went onstage to pick up his own Lead Actor award, somebody else took the empty spot. An elderly gentleman I am way too plastered with fatigue to identify. Play along if you wish, science will be probably grateful.
Here is Murphy's acceptance speech:
[Source: https://x.com/gofckapineapple/status/1890917862631424306?s=46&t=PwRUwYJkImTt7ctbAQQkKw]
And here is a very clear overview of C's table:
Tumblr media
Closer:
Tumblr media
Notice the salt-and-pepper haired gentleman who took Saoirse's former position. The lady wearing green on C's left has been there all the time.
I will, as always, invite you to draw your own conclusions. But seriously now, how LOUD was that, this time?
At least as loud as the sound of silence on her Stans' pages. Exactly.
You can cut it with a knife, for sure.
Tumblr media
PS: thank you, dear. You know who you are.
[Later edit]: that another man would feel the need to step in and cover her right side at that table is the sure sign McGill was not there, not in Dublin, not in Ireland and I seriously wonder where else. This is exactly what any civilized person would do and again, you are free to draw your own conclusions. Tick, tock...

'Irish actor Andrew Scott is joining Bobby Cannavale, Ethan Hawke, and Margaret Qualley in the cast for director Richard Linklater’s newest project “Blue Moon.”
Scott will be on his home turf when filming commences in Dublin this summer...
Scott's casting in "Blue Moon" is just the latest in the Irish actor's impressive ascent to fame.
In May, it was revealed that Scott had been added to the lineup for "Wake Up Dead Man," the latest in the wildly popular "Knives Out" film series.
This came not long after the limited series "Ripley," in which Scott stars as Tom Ripley, cracked the top 10 on Netflix.
Earlier this year, Scott landed a Golden Globe nomination for his role opposite Paul Mescal in "All of Us Strangers." It was his second Golden Globe nomination following the nod for his turn as the 'Hot Priest' in the smash hit series "Fleabag."
