imagine percy swimming to the bottom of the ocean. not to save a group of sea creatures. not to show off his skillset. and not to prance around as the sea god's favorite son. but to join the ocean in all that it is. laying in the soft sand and watching the fish swim by. the lobsters making space for him as he rests his head against a patch of seaweed. him laughing at the irony. imagine percy making small talk with all the different sea creatures and assigning them names. him actually running into a whale he named phillip who's on his way to propose to his boyfriend. and percy wishing him good luck and offering his blessing on their union. imagine percy making small talk with the starfish about his favorite dinosaur. and explaining to the collective group what a dinosaur is and why they don't need to worry about them reaching the bottom of the ocean. just. percy immersiving himself in all that's aquatic because it's where he can be his most self.

jayvik shippers need to understand that non-jayvik shippers are annoyed with you not because of not shipping jayvik, but because there is no escaping you.

you clog every tag on every social media platform. want to look at caitvi? jayvik posts tagged as caitvi for some reason. want to look at viktor posts? jayvik. jayce posts? jayvik. want to look at mel posts? jayvik. anyone talking about mel and viktor in the same sentence is obviously secretly talking about jayvik. (and by the way here's why every mel scene is secretly about jayvik and every viktor scene is secretly about how all he thinks about is jayce and why mel is inferior and jayce was a good boy and was right all along). you dominate the discourse and don't give room for criticism of jayce or viktor's writing and don't tolerate other interpretations. every theme in the show was about jayvik all along.

on my main blog, i write fic and make arcane posts - not complaining, staying in my lane, making my own content for me and my friends - and my tags, comments, and replies are full of people talking about jayvik and asking about jayvik when the ship is not tagged or present in my posts or fics, and jayce usually isn't even tagged because i just don't have fun with him as a character right now, and all people want to talk about or comment on is him or jayvik. so here i am, venting on my sideblog

this is a curse i specifically bear and cannot escape because as a fan of the writing of these aforementioned characters SEPARATELY, any and every algorithm is gonna shovel piles of jayvik posts 10 feet deep right up against my front door, and everyone on tumblr is "tagging for visibility" or whatever so there's no escaping it here either. blocking and muting does not help because either jayvik isn't always tagged, or jayvik is tagged at random and i end up hiding swathes of posts i actually do want to see. and there is also the fact that i WOULD be into jayvik because i do think it's fun, i WOULD have more fun discussing jayce specifically as a character who i think is a very fun hot mess, if social media wasn't making me despise both with a burning passion right now, which sucks

the only haven is Ao3 because people are still slightly sane when tagging their fics - at least with the relationship tags. jayvik shippers you do need to stop tagging mel though along with any other character who doesn't affect the plot of your story and i am dead serious

this is a vent post but i am also declaring - the reason why people are frustrated and annoyed at jayvik at large, as a concept, even if you yourself are a chill shipper and you don't see why we all can't just get along, is because the collective has poisoned the well and it's not fun for other people to be in the same space as you right now. there are a lot of you - be glad of that and happy, not every fandom let alone ship gets this large and energetic a following - but don't be surprised that people like me are gonna be mad because. it is irritating. and you're everywhere. and unfortunately there's nothing that any one person can do about it. it is an environmental thing and you just. need to come to terms and be aware, idk

Hi,

I saw promo for the new Gmmtv merch calendar for EarthMix and I immediately thought of your theory. Do you think this means anything for Ossan's Love Thailand?

(For context most other pairs both wear (mostly) black. Only a few have one in black one in white (aside from EarthMix also JoongDunk, FirstKhaotung, WinnySatang, GreatInn, OhmLeng, and MarkOhm).

Of those EarthMix are the only ones where the colors don't match up with the order of their names in the ship name.)

Anon, regarding my Wild Ass Theory about the blacks and whites and EarthMix, the calendar and the colors are on brand for the couple.

I've featured them before because they have consistently stated that Mix is black (dark) and Earth is white (light).

There have been times when they "switch" but even then Mix isn't full white.

So I think they have been telling us exactly what they wanted to say, but people aren't listening.

It's MixEarth.

And it always has been.

Mr Gourmand what do you have to say about the accusations made against you? Many scugs in the colony are doubtful of your leadership now that some people say you are *dramatic pause*... a scug-napper.

So far there is no proof of this kidnappings, but people said they saw you carry a pair of identical red scugs inside the colony and that you have keept them prisoner in some kind of underground cavern full of exotic food, while you train them to be a pair of elite fighters that would protect the colony in secret. Mr Gourmand is anything of this wild accusations true? 📝🧐

Buddie fic where in an ambiguous earlier season (before bucktaylor?) Eddie is hanging out in his kitchen while he watches Buck cook. They’re having a good time, laughing together, when something sparks an unease in Eddie. A phone call? a visitor? A comment he just remembered? That makes him feel like he’s taking advantage of Buck by always letting him cook for them. That maybe it might be nice if Eddie actually learned to cook a dish or two to better balance their dynamic.

And he obviously thinks about going to Bobby or his abuela, but he can feel his chest tighten in embarrassment and Eddie doesn’t like the feeling nor does he want to examine why he felt too seen when he thought of going to the people he cares about, so he signs himself up for some beginner cooking lessons.

He tells no one and he feels incredibly uncomfortable when the entire class is filled with older women (think 50-60s). He’s incredulous at first because all of these women seem to know more than the basics and they spend a lot of the class gossiping about people he doesn’t know. He doesn’t mean to get sucked into the drama, he’s here to learn to cook!, but then Debra mentions her daughter getting into a fight in a Denny’s parking lot and Eddie feels like he’s listening to a bad telenovela and he can’t stop himself from opening his mouth and piping up with his thoughts.

At first he’s terrified as the entire group looks at him, but then Colleen, Midwest accent and one of the more sarcastic women, nods at him and goes on about how he’s right.

Soon Eddie gets dragged into this group and while he does learn some things about cooking, he realizes that he made friends. With people he doesn’t work with!

Eventually why he was there gets brought up and he gets clocked as being in love with Buck so fast that his head spins. He wants to freak out about it, but Georgia pats his hand and smirks at him before asking if his Buck is handsome. The others all cackle when he blushes, but after they see a picture of Buck after a work out and one with him cuddling Chris, all they can do is gush at Eddie.

He loves it. He won’t ever admit it, but he loves it.

So he spends two nights every week learning what a ragù is and teaming up with Paula in an attempt to convince Pam that she’d spent two decades too many on her deadbeat husband.

(And if Buck is surprised when Eddie cooks them pasta on a rare night Chris is with his abuela, and he blushes a pretty pink color that leaves Eddie lightheaded, well that just means he has something to tell The Girls tomorrow evening in between making pie dough and trying to get Lottie to admit she thinks Mr. Harris, her upstairs neighbor, is handsome.)

Thinking about meeting with my tutor after their class to talk about my performance, my direction in life and my aspirations and goals. Only taking it half seriously as i take everything, their genuine concern and guidance met with avoidance more than dismissal, but still frustrating for them. They tell me im a smart man, with a potential they would hate to see me waste because of apathy. I listen to placate them more than anything else. When they say that it would benefit me to plan for my future, to find my passion and dedicate myself to it, i scoff lightly, breaking eye contact and smiling a little as i brush off their earnest pleading with a teasing "yeah, whatever dad." When i look back after a beat, their face has changed. The stillness and silence in the room suddenly tight with tension as i realise they didn't brush that one off. They look me up and down with a casual sort of surveyance as i break eye contact again, swallowing thickly as i try and fail to keep my breathing steady. "Look at me." Their voice is smooth and even. My obedience is instant. They speak more concisely now, more deliberate. As they continue I'm hanging on their every word, as if under a spell, nodding gently in answer to any questions, otherwise still and rapt. We sit in silence for a few moments. "Sometimes," they begin, slow and calm, "a person will need more guidance than a classroom allows." My heart is beating so hard against my chest im sure they can hear it. "If you would let me, i want to give that to you." Im dizzy. I feel myself nodding quickly. "Speak up." Its a gentle correction, but i feel like i'm on fire. "Yes."

"Yes, Daddy." They correct.

"Y-yes. Yes, Daddy." We sit in the silence again, me firmly in their grip, waiting on their command.

ooh okay!!!! I have two banknote folders- one for my standard world notes and another for hyperinflation notes and any banknotes too large to fit into the first folder.

the renniks is the latter, i have 45 hyperinflation notes, a couple of my faves:

these nicaraguan ones which have the higher values hastily stamped over with black ink that glows under UV. I'm sure you've seen my fascination with hyperiflation designs before. the rushed desperation of the stamp-over style really gets to me.

here is the hundred trillion dollar note that i stayed up past midnight to make sure nobody outbid me, i got it for far less than a lot of hundred trillions are going for these days.

Also in the folder are my Big notes, for some of these i had to craft my own archive slip out of two XXL slips!

this includes my largest note, the thai 60 baht commemorative note.

Now onto my other folder, this one is considerably larger, and while its not completely filled, it's a few spending sprees away from me needing a new one:

I have mine organised in "kind of alphabetical" order. that just means that i bothered to put my notes in an a-is-for-australia, b-is-for-bhutan order but i didn't bother to alphabetise any more than that. Some of the highlights of the notes:

arabic countries absolutely go off with their designs! i'm a lover of both aesthetics and scripts that aren't latin, so these banknotes appeal greatly.

i've always found the netherland's 2 1/2 banknotes and coins so fun to look at. logically i get that it's just half of five and is probably a lot more useful when it comes to transactions but. fraction on a banknote.

my forgery peso! i got this one at a coin/banknote con last year. it was clearly labelled as a forgery and i was so intrigued about its circumstances that i had to get it.

this french algerian banknote (centre) is my most weak and pathetic banknote. i genuinely thought it was going to crumble in my hand as i put it in the archive slip. i've never been more scared to put a banknote into a slip. it's not coming back out because i don't think it would survive the journey.
