Duck, Duck, Goose! WIP
This one goes out to @the-lonelybarricade and all of my other Feysands who just want some silly fluff in the tags. Expect it next week. 🦆
“Look, Mama!” Nyx cried as he pointed to a brown mother duck and the trail of her fluffy golden ducklings behind her. Each duckling dunked their feathers in the water, shaking their bodies before swimming after their mother, much to Nyx and Feyre’s delight.
“Can we go swimming?” Nyx asked as he longingly looked at the little ducklings that splashed in the water.
“Not in this pond, this is the duck's home. But when it warms up we can go to the swimming hole.” Rhys promised, tearing off more bread and handing it to Nyx.
“The water is too cold for us anyways,” Feyre said, “we don’t have feathers.” Nyx giggled as he threw more bread into the pond, luring the little ducklings towards them.
A chill crept over Rhys. Someone was watching them. Feyre must have sensed it too, as she stiffened when she met his eyes. Scanning the meadow, he could find nothing but a large white goose staring at him from the top of a small hill.
“I don’t like the look of him.” Rhys said warily.

˗ˏˋ tending to an injury ˎˊ˗
prompt: genshin characters tending to an injury of yours
content: gn!reader, mentions of blood/injury
characters included: diluc, childe/tartaglia, thoma, kaveh
gives you a little scolding for putting yourself in harm's way.
even if it was just an aggressive samachurl who happened to catch you just outside of mondstadt.
but once you remind him of his darknight duties, he accepts your point.
he's a perfectionist; the plaster needs to wrap over the whole cut, the bandages need to cover every single gash.
he will also tell you instructions for how to tend to your wounds:
"you need to redress your bandages every day, and wash your leg before you do so. i have rubbing alcohol if you need it, but these shouldn't get infected. now, when you redress-"
"diluc, i know how to bandage a leg."
"i'm just making sure."
the next time you go out anywhere, he will be watching from the shadows - making sure this kind of thing never happens again.
he had accidentally caught your arm with an arrow while training, and at first was unaware of the severity of your injury.
but after a minute or two of standing there, collecting the blood in your hands, he realised it was serious.
running to get medical equipment quickly, you heard him tell a group of fatui skirmishers to move out of his way, which made you laugh.
out of pity, he tried to speedrun cleaning and wrapping your arm, so that it was protected as quickly as possible to make up for his prior negligence.
"slow down, childe, you don't need to-"
"no, i laughed at you when you were in pain. i need to make up for lost time."
"surely making up for lost time will just mean you do a sloppy job?"
"...you have a point."
he then took his time and even made you tea afterwards. he felt guilty for a long time, which you frequently took advantage of.
ah, my favourite fixer
thoma is very caring, and tries to make sure he's hurting you as little as possible.
it was silly, really, you fell and cut your wrists on the concrete.
while you expected him to laugh at your idiocy, you were surprised to hear him say "come in, let me get some cloths" instead.
five star yelp review for thoma: he treated you like teyvat's most important person.
"do you have any other issues? headache, perhaps? what caused you to fall?"
"i just slipped on the steps, i don't have a headache, although my knee is throbbing a bit."
he immediately tends to your knee.
he makes you food, lets you stay with him until he knows the wounds aren't infected.
i love him
i just know this man would call you a silly goose.
but would then be like "oh shit, this is serious"
alhaitham talks him through what to do, and he does it.
you had set up camp just outside of sumeru city, and burned yourself accidentally when cooking. instinctively, you ran to kaveh and alhaitham's assuming they would have some cream for light burns.
alas they did not.
so here kaveh was, trying to make some form of home remedy, with alhaitham reading the instructions off to him.
"wait, three padisarahs? are you sure?"
"the book says three, kaveh."
"really, guys-" you try to interject. "it's not that serious. i can just go to-"
"no, you stay here and i will fix it," kaveh replied, adding three padisarahs to the mixture.
kaveh would make the cream, apply the cream, watch the burn for hours fearing it was not what it seemed, then when it surprisingly worked he would feel some form of relief.
"you are staying here. no more camping, you hear me?"

j'accuse! You have to be the Reggie anon. The puppy photos yesterday was a distraction.
Answer honestly. Are you the anon I am looking for? Yes or No?
Okay I’m answering honestly…
…
…
…
…
You are correct! 😂. The puppy photos were actually not a distraction, you just reminded me that I hadn’t sent one in a while and decided to do it! And you had me off for a bit when you said mountain time zone because I knew my time zone as CST but after a quick google search I realized it was right! @nena-96 almost got me, but I was able to throw her off with the tacos thing…
This has been fun! Maybe I’ll do it again soon! (Or maybe not, maybe I’m saying this so that if someone else *ahem* Nena *ahem* decides to do it again…)

Sparkstember Day 28: The Sparks Brothers
I'm not a movie person... So when I do actually rewatch a movie (I mean, even watch it, at ALL, haha) it must really mean that something is up. I mean, well, it also IS a thorough, highly enjoyable and visually appealing movie about a band that I've been so incredibly invested in for the past several months. So maybe it's a surprise that I don't watch it more often actually. Because one beautiful side-effect of seeing it each time was getting an unexpected and very strong surge of motivation to keep on going towards the things that matter to me the most, despite any and all obstacles that could appear on the way. Another side-effect of it is being happy and joyfull and being filled with warm feelings and thoughts for the whole following day at least. Usually up to 3 days afterwards actually.
But ok, of course, what I'm getting at is that the Maels' story is so incredibly inspirational. Seeing how they persevered through all those years and NEVER lost their spirit or their vision, never gave up... is not only moving but also something that reminds me that wow, so much *really* is possible. I spent so many years fully convinced that there are things that I'll never be able to achieve. And sure, some of them are indeed pretty unlikely to happen. But if you told me from even one year ago that I'd be making art daily and not dreading being so much as perceived anywhere in the great world (so, including the internet)... well, I would have not believed it at all. I really mean it when I say that I used to believe that there are things that I'll just never be able to do. It's like it was simply not meant for me to be able do it and have those experiences. And yet...!
There's a lot I owe Sparks and this is one of the biggest things I'll always be grateful for. They really changed my life for the better. Truly nothing else before them reaches the same degree of how much it helped me. And well, I'm saying this on TSB day because this is where this feeling of gratitude and feeling SO lucky becomes the strongest. And the beautiful thing about it all is that they were always just themselves. They had their vision, they knew what they wanted to do and didn't care about how it would be received. Which is such an important and meaningful message to me, I can't even express how huge it is to me to see these two people who only really had themselves and their endurance and got exactly where they wanted to be.
Alright, some less grandiose observations now. Well, let's start with the fact that this was by no means my introduction to Sparks but it still really cemented my love for them even more. I loved being reminded of their whole journey and learning more about it, and even moreso I loved being able to see more of their beautiful brotherly bond and their wonderful personalities. Truly no other people in this whole world make me as happy as them currently. And the brothers' sense of humour hits super close to mine, so this is also a time filled with genuine laughs (I die laughing at the absolutely true Sparks facts at the end EVERY TIME). And since I'm a huge fan of animation and mixed media art and such things, this was simply a joy to view for my more artistically-inclined side too.
And damn, those two hours and 15 minutes really fly by so fast. When I have to arrange a huge timeslot to watch it all in one go, because that's the only way to do it for me, and then it feels like no time has passed anyway. And even with so much being said there, it feels like there's still so much more to get to. But it's still enough to lift my spirits completely for a pretty long time. And to make me cry a lot of the time too... Absolutely impossible to not shed a tear by the end of it all. It's moving, it's funny as heck, it's super fun and it's absolutely beautiful and truly lifechanging. 💖
