Hey Jay! Aside from the obvious Cassowary, are there any other animal that reminds you of Kasuar or any of your other OCs?

SOSA HAI!!

The goose! The Canadian variant is my favorite. It was actually a toss-up between the two but cassowaries won because they’re more aggressive and they look like the demented spawn of a dinosaur and an emu. It’s like if a Dino refused to keep changing past a certain point. Wonderous creatures.

Geese are very loud and crazy guys. They look pretty and they have the horrid goose tongue. Seriously, look at pictures of geese tongues. Wonderful things, they are. They’re aggressive and that’s actually why I chose cassowaries (I literally just searched for “aggressive bird” while sleep deprived at an airport to make her.) but as much as the geese are cool, cassowaries are a better fit.

anyway, geese are awesome. They’re aggressive and pretty. Whenever I go on a walk or bike ride and I stop at the park they just chill with me. Never pet them though but I will trust me.

Other than birds though? I went with birds since that’s evidently the theme with replikas. If I wasn’t gonna choose a bird (not that I’m unhappy with birds but if I had no such restrictions) I would choose the African wild dog, otherwise known as the painted dog and known by me as snookums.

They’re known as Africa’s most deadly predator, partly because they’re legitimately vicious and partly because they have beyond excellent teamwork. They’re known to outrun, flank, and trap their prey. They work with terrifying efficiency and aggression that’s awe striking.

Something about my Kasuars is that their teamwork really is top notch so the painted dog is a wonderful fit. Also! Look!

They’re so cute! They’re so ears! So whiskers! They’re the perfect killer puppy that would bite my neck out if I was tasty! Storches would love them! And their fur is so pretty too!

Now lookit the fangs! They’re terrifying! Have you seen one of these goobs in real life? They walk with a little spring in their step but they have this presence about them. Cute as they are just seeing them is such a surreal feeling. They’re actually my favorite animal next to the horse and I didn’t even have them in mind when I made Kasuar! Everything about them fits Kasuar. They’re the best.

So that’s it for Kasuar. The goose was a close fit and the painted dog is even better. Silly yet deadly goobers. That’s Kasuar if I’ve ever seen her.
