Creepy!yuu and Victim!reader in TWST.

Summary: Okay, from where I left off, the reader had tried unaliving themselves (but guess who got transported the last second they were about to taste freedom?) In short, you and Yuu had gone to TWST not only that but Yuu still played as 'you' and ended up charming them to turn on you, spreading rumors, and making believable stories, horrifyingly enough, they knew how to act and turn the tables on to you. But, since this is non-yandere, they aren't THAT stupid.

...Unless your talking about their affection for Yuu after their overblot (depends)....

Okay, maybe he wouldn't like, turn his whole dorm against you? Listen, he's not sure whether Yuu is telling the truth or not, but he'll make sure to keep an eye on you. A part of him thinks Yuu is strange, with the way they've constantly spoke about you. Don't they dislike you? Why do they keep talking about you so much? Then Yuu says, "They've been following me, forcing me to be with them, so all my entire life I had been constantly surrounded by them. It was an every day routine of mine to talk about them, since they liked that and pestered me into talking about them, and them only. Even going so far as to erase my 'self' so I could act like them a little more..." yeah, some stupid excuse Yuu came up with.

Did he believe it? Quite a bit. Don't get him wrong! He just doesn't know if this is some morbid excuse, until he saw Yuu flinching whenever your around.

He disliked you, but not so much. He has suspicions, but doesn't want to assume. So all he does is sternly scold you, but sometimes his words are so harsh you had assumed he was out to bully you like the rest. If he knew about your situation, he'd be sorry. But for now?

"[Name], Yuu isn't stalking you. You are just paranoid, they are not that kind of person at all. Yuu is a good person with morals, you shouldn't blame Yuu just because you are jealous of their popularity." But you never wanted popularity, you wanted someone to understand the situation you were in.

And most of them wouldn't help. Yuu saw you talking to Riddle... Come, let's talk privately after this, yes?

Trey:

He wouldn't get what was going on at first. When he met Yuu and you for the first time, something in his gut told him something was wrong. He didn't know what exactly. Maybe it was the way you glanced Yuu blankly or the way you looked like you were pleading for something to happen or, pleading for someone?

Either way, he was perceptive. He can say that there is something between the relationship with you and Yuu. It was creepy on how Yuu often looks at you whenever your around. This guy notices that you often avoid others whenever Yuu is around, so maybe he tries to talk to you through private means, and that'll also mean he'll avoid talking about this to Yuu, just in case. He suspects there's more to Yuu's character but from now on, he should be careful with who he speaks with. Yuu seems empty, their eyes, he meant.

But that doesn't mean he wouldn't talk to Yuu anymore. That'd make him suspicious to Yuu, so he'll sneak in a few treats for you every time there's an unbirthday party going on. He would seem like he wouldn't believe you, but trust me, he needs the evidence first before assumptions, and he can't talk to you since you seem afraid of him, and Yuu keeps blocking the way every time he tries.

"What do you mean 'Yuu is stalking you'? I'm sorry, I don't know whether your lying or not, but I'll find a way soon. For now, keep a low profile in front of Yuu, yeah?" Oops, Yuu caught 'you'.

What did they say last time? Guess they'll need to drill it in your head.

Cater:

Listen, as far as I know, especially when it had been shown and stated many times, Cater is perceptive. He hides his emotions well and often covers it with humor. Maybe emotionally depending on the internet as well? (I'm projecting on this part, ignore this) Either way, he's self-aware and he knows creepy vibes when he sees one.

When he first met Yuu, it was subtly obvious to him that something IS wrong with Yuu. The way they talk sounds rehearsed or copied in a way. Mimicry? But he sees the way Yuu acts. It never sits right with him. What for? He doesn't know, but he knows this is a lie. He won't fall for the act and would rather be a bit distant with Yuu, he'd even try to find reader, who is basically now scared shitless of what will happen if they talk to another person again, Yuu tries to convince him to leave Yuu alone, and when he does, Yuu even feeds him lies that he can clearly see through. He doesn't know the relationship you two have but whatever it is, it concerns him. Not much, but enough to feel quite bad for not helping. Sorry, he just doesn't know what to do.

Worse part is, he can't even talk to you without you scurrying off like he's some serial killer! How is he supposed to have any evidence on Yuu if the proof keeps running away??? Sigh, guess he'll come back for you later.

For now, he'll have his eyes and ears on the look out without telling anyone.

Ace:

Okay, for him... Ace isn't the smartest, but not the dumbest either. Humor is coping, and lying effortlessly is one of his many talents, I'm not saying he's lying to Yuu, but more like what he feels. So, at first he never felt suspicious about Yuu, it just felt off when Yuu looks so distant, yet acts so close.

So it was like Ace was talking to a stranger than a friend. Well, not really? Just Yuu feeling distant, to him, at least.

But he can't help but look at you, the person who's constantly behind Yuu's back. What good can you do? You've always ran away, even at the slightest interaction. Why? And you keep glancing at Yuu everytime they talk about your bad deeds while your in the distance. Yes, he noticed you were hiding behind the tree or right around the corners in the hallways whenever Yuu spoke about you. And it's annoying, really. Yuu only ever talks about you, and barely talks about themselves. What is the matter with Yuu and you? Both of you are so weird, to be honest, he wouldn't really be surprised if one of you was a serial killer. Haha! He's joking, but seriously, it is mad concerning that you run away from him whenever he tries to approach you,-

Why was Yuu looking at you like that?

Deuce:

Okay, Deuce isn't really the smartest in the shed, but he's got the spirit? I have not much to say about Deuce except for his confusion. The terror in your eyes reminds him of the times where he was still a delinquent and terrorizing others. Did he do something wrong? Yet, that didn't seem like the case, you've always done that when Yuu is near, and when Yuu isn't around, you'd look around twice to check if Yuu is no where to be seen before talking to him. Hey, why did you bully Yuu before? Did something happen between you two? Yet, when those questions came out of his mouth, you seemed scared in a way, not in a "I've been caught" way, but something more? It was then you quickly left as if sensing someone, not before warning him, "Yuu isn't the person that you see..." before running off, Yuu appears just in time to find Deuce standing akwardly,

What do you mean by that?

Leona:

Do you think he'll give two shits to you??? Nah, at least, not at first. He'd think your some paranoid freak that looks over their shoulders constantly. Yet, he can't help but feel unsettled as well. Whenever he looks or interacts with you, even just a little bit or unintentionally, either you avoid him and run off like a scared prey, or Yuu comes in to interrupt or block him. Seriously, what the fuck is going on with you two? Yuu explains that although you were their bully, you tend to run away from guilt. Leona sets it off and decides to leave you alone, not becaue what Yuu had said, but because it's disturbing. And he wants sleep, so there's that.

It wouldn't make sense in his head, why is Yuu protecting you if you were their bully? He knows there's something off-putting in Yuu's words, something reversed but he doesn't have any proof to say anything about it, nor will he care to lift a finger for it. But one day, he was walking past Ramshackle for whatever reason, and saw both of you talking, not in a pleasant way, though. Your eyes looked petrified and your body was shaking, like some weak prey in the jaws of a predator. Yuu was talking about something, but clearly, it wasn't a good one,

That is, until Yuu's eyes flicker at Leona's.

They close the curtains, Leona is surprised they even saw him.

Will he help? Depends.

Ruggie:

No doubt he couldn't help but feel like he shouldn't trust Yuu, at all. Despite being indebted to them, he felt off when Yuu was around him, it never felt right. It never felt 'them'. But after the overblot? He must say, he is quite impressed with their thinking, it's sharp, too sharp.

So this is where he is now, hanging with Yuu, and keeping a close eye on them. It would've felt right, until he saw you. At first glance he never said anything to you, not ever. But when the octavinelle deal struck in? You look visibly shaken. You didn't want to sleep with Yuu or anybody else. You wanted your own privacy, and the way you've emphasized on wanting privacy, he couldn't help but think that has something to do with Yuu. So he keeps a close eye on them too, because he's not sure what Yuu is capable of. And not like he needs to know about that.

He's concerned, rightfully so. But he doesn't know you and you keep running away. So, how will he help if he isn't a friend or an acquiantence of yours? Not like he'll think like this too much, after all, it's your business, not his.

Did he just fucking saw Yuu smelling your hair while you were asleep in broad daylight? What the fuck...

Jack:

Dilemma going hard fr.

He doesn't know why, but he feels as though, Yuu is lying. But, he won't give in, he thinks of Yuu as a good friend, but whenever Yuu brings up you as the topic to 'vent'. Jack can't help but feel a tinge of jealousy, and also a weird sense that tells him Yuu is wrong.

It's like your best friend tells you that your other best friend is bad and talking shit about you, but the thing is, is that its a close friend so you dont know whether to drop them or just bawl your eyes out and keep them at arms length. Yeah, Jack's dilemma about this btw.

So, whenever he tries to approach you? You just run, for the fear of losing someone again, or... those photos. But, Jack kept on persisting, thing is, Yuu caught on and blocks him, or distracts him whenever he thinks about talking to you.

Was that a knife behind them? He sure hopes not, else he'll apprehend them.

Azul:

He kinda relates to the bullying thing, but he doesn't know that you were the victim and assumes it was Yuu who went through it since they understood him so well. If anything, Yuu was the victim, but he can't help but suspect it as a lie. But since Yuu has so much influence on these people, it is best to stick around until the truth spills over.

He can't get proof without it being shown somewhere in here. So, he'll get Jade and Floyd to be his eyes and ears. He's still a shady business man, after all. But he feels like Yuu has something up their sleeves, like they have something he doesn't know or want to know about.

Whatever Yuu hides, he needs to find out, it's a fair trade, you see? He gets to know you and Yuu, while you and Yuu gets to know him, and sign a contract if things get serious.

Something bothers him, is the fact Yuu had once said something about your... body? Ah, Jade, he wishes that Jade would've said it in a lighter tone, instead of saying it in excruciating detail.

Wait... what the fuck do you mean by the prefect doing that?-

Jade:

I'd say... he knows something about Yuu stalking you. But it is just a gut feeling. He doesn't know the exact things Yuu does, but he does know that Yuu's fascinating behavior is driven with a more obsessive motive.

And all that motive leads to the elusive you. You, who barely been seen talking to anyone but Yuu, despite their claims of a toxic relationship, you seemed more meek than Yuu, is he really sure what Yuu had said was true? Hm. Then again, he never believed it, so it wasn't really a surprise.

He thinks this is amusing, with the fact Yuu uses a facade like any other students would. But that identity alone, something bothers him, is it really a personality Yuu created? Or did it belong to somebody else? What does Yuu gain out of this? What do they want, in order to do this? His bothersome doesn't mean he's off-put, more like a nagging questions are being thrown at him. When he had became Azul's ears and eyes, he had to take every mental note that there was something going on between the two of you.

And to be honest to himself, you do seem cute. A frightened little shrimp. Just as Floyd had said, you do curl up like one! He just thinks your fascinating.

A bit too fascinating than he anticipated, he doesn't know this feeling whenever Yuu blocks him from speaking to you, but even if he did evade Yuu, you would just run away.

Well, this will be an interesting chase.

Floyd:

You can't tell me he isn't smart, well not academically sure, but he can at least read the room (I hope so, my memory is just complete ass atp, helppp), he thinks Yuu is interesting, (hey, so what type of fish is cunning and sly?? I can't make a nickname for Yuu) as well as the scurrying shrimp! You both are so adorable, but obviously, Yuu is faking it while you, are genuine about it. Neh, neh~ is that all your traits? Are you just a scared shrimpy all the time?~ He's not stupid, he knows you wouldn't be scared for no reason.

Which is why, he wants to know more about you. He wants to chase you, and squeeze you. Your interesting, if only you'd stop running. Don't do that! He'll get bored!

Till' he sees Yuu getting reallll close to your space, and you look uncomfortable too.~

He holds his breath until the day the truths spills out.

Kalim:

Okay, he might catch on if the signs were obvious (which, it kinda is) so Kalim will catch up later. And maybe, he'll approach and want to help you, but Yuu, again. Keeps blocking, and honestly? He can't help but feel something that he had never felt before, it wasn't fear. It wasn't anything like that. But, imagine someone pestering you to do something else you clearly don't want to and they still insist.

Yes, that feeling. Annoyance? Maybe. But still, Kalim IS human so he can feel annoyed /gen. And he is most likely trying to evade Yuu so he could talk to you, but you've managed to slip away in the crowds a bit too easily. The people under Yuu's influence are a hassle as well, especially when they block his path to speak with you, akways huddled up or cornering you. He really is worried on what could happen to you.

He really wants to talk to you, but you kept avoiding him, and even begged him not to speak with you.

The threats about your life is getting worse.

What? Hey!- wait, what do you mean by that!?- wait! Come back, please! He really wants to help!

What is Yuu telling you!?

The fact that, he suspects that you're a hostage to Yuu, he doesn't want that to happen.

Trust him, he'll save you with anything he can. Just wait for him, okay? He's not scared of Yuu, he had seen worse.

Jamil:

It is getting disturbing by the day, the fact that Yuu always tends to somehow drag him away from you, it bothers him. Is something the matter with you? No, it couldn't be. He has other things to do, and he shouldn't care about this. But, why does it feel wrong? He knows nothing about you, and he won't do anything about it until he has permission to.

Kalim had taken notice as well, so now he knows how serious it might be in the future.

Clearly, something is going on in Yuu's head, but he surely doesn't want to know, whatever is happening at Ramshackle's.

One night, he decided to drop off some leftovers because he thought you two woukd starve without dinner.

Imagine to his surprise when he saw something he shouldn't. Does he back away? Of course. But he doesn't have his phone. Nor can he tell to anyone since he knows Yuu has more influence on others more than him. Where is this coming from? He hasn't seen this side of Yuu. Or, has Yuu even shown their true colors, yet? Or if they even had any.

He'll help, especially if Kalim is worried about you, he is sure Kalim's request would be about helping you. So he has no say in it.

Did he just see Yuu picturing you from behind? Huh...

Vil:

Okay, so as I've mentioned before, I had hc Vil having stalkers in the past, because you know??? Celebrities' life ain't all that without consequences of being famously known to the world. So, I would say, Vil knows Yuu's strange behavior??? But, let's say, it wasn't clear enough since yk it could be another Rook. But, this one is different, with the way you flinch at loud sounds, especially with the banging noises or fireworks, similar to guns, you'd jump at the sound of it. Why would you, though? Vil doesn't have enough evidence to file a report about Yuu, but especially if Yuu is his 'friend'. Remember, Yuu will always find a way to manipulate things for their own benefit. But Yuu is more cautious around Vil. Yuu isn't completely dumb running around with their mouth filled with bad rumors, since Vil is a well known acter and star, Yuu needs to be careful with how they word things, it needed to be reasonable.

It wouldn't take long before Vil caught on later in their friendship. The reader had been kept hidden for long, long enough to bump into Vil one day, with a menacing stare a celeb could have.

He didn't mean to, of course. He is just curious about you. Not really.

Rook:

Okay, so as you'd expect, he knows something, not all, but something. The thing is, maybe Rook would surpass Yuu's presence detection. So, depending on the scenario you choose, Rook will try to befriend you because your like some hidden star to him.

And actually, I'm not good with hc him but... I feel like he would want to help you without Yuu's knowledge? Like, he hangs around Yuu, sure, but in the background, he's like, giving you company, you know? [It feels like Neige and Vil all over again but in a different scenario...]

It wouldn't be surprising if he knew both Yuu and you were... swapped. Like, you used to be like Yuu and Yuu used to be like you, in a way. Maybe, if he helped you get back to 'yourself' again, you wouldn't feel that empty need to be something once more.

He wants to help, me thinks...

But the thing is, idk how though, so I want you guys to imagine with me 😔🪽.

Epel:

Okay, so his character... uhm, Epel would fall for Yuu, since Yuu is using an identity that doesn't belong to them. More like, they try to fit in as the peoples desired person (which is why I used 'you' for the plot to continue-). To be honest, probably Epel genuinely thinks your the bad person here, since I don't know??? Please for the love of plot my brain is so mushed every time I look at the drafts- anyway, Epel would be like those typical bullies (maybe with Ace if he fell for the tricks as well?)

Sooner or later if he finds the signs, he'll maybe start doubting himself, on who he should trust. If others are doing the same, surely Epel will be in a conflict, not because he doesn't know whether he bullied someone innocent unintentionally, but also was siding with someone much sinister than they appear to be.

And hey, so uhm, is it normal when Yuu sneaks into your room unknowingly?

He thinks he's hallucinating that night, maybe not...

Istg I think I just blinked and 2 weeks have gone by- AKJSHDFKJH

Post-semester burn out always sucks ;-; Spent the first week sleeping even if I wanted to do stuff. It's like my brain and body just really can't... ;-;;;

I really don't want to rush these chapters (currently, yes, plural) :'3 because though I appreciate a lot of you guys liking chapter 17, as the author who knows how the story will run... I was really sent into an internal panic when I realized I revealed something I wasn't supposed to yet. Coz of that, I really don't wanna make the same mistake again in the future.

Yeah, I can be really impulsive at times ;-; lmao guess it really does the username justice KJASHFKJHDS

Had been debating of rewriting that chapter but with the many reads ever since (thank you guys btw, y'all are awesome ;w; 💙✨), I think I'll just suck it up and work with what I published ahahahakjsdf.

It always pains me when I can't work on the little things that make me happy, and well... make other people happy, but I try anyway :')... It's about to be my last year in uni after this intersession (idk what this is called in other countries, but for our uni it's basically mandatory subjects smushed into the summer, so yeah, it's expected to be very fast-paced T-T), but also keep in mind that 4th year is thesis year so... omg :''')))

I won't give up on this fic. And no matter how much school drains me, I still value what I'm making, yet responsible enough to commit to what's important first, and that's my studies. Because I really like what I'm learning too, even if it's hard most of the time.

Here's the good news tho ;w;

I actually DID work on stuff during the 2-week break. What I've written so far is very unedited but is enough to be one chapter, out of 2 or 3, we'll see (because I tend to divide one "episode" into ~2 parts after all). Like the chapters on the Titan-hunting monsters, I can't publish the first without having to complete the next in case I have to change something prior. So yeah, that's how my writing goes, but the benefit of it is that it comes in a set all within 2 months ;w;

That, plus I've finished 2/5 artworks. Here's some teasers :3

I wish I could say more but it's 4 am, and the only reason I have the balls to do this during a school night is because my first class later starts at 2 pm lol KJSHDFKJHDF Plus I don't really want to turn this whole acc into a rant channel, that's what the fic is for, to project my trauma HAHAHAHAHA, Y'ALL AHM KIDDING I SWEAR- I'm a psychology major and I just try to integrate what I've learned in writing characters XD (i.e. how does a particular nature of upbringing affect present decisions, behaviors, relationships, etc.)

Like I feel if he ever thought he was doing something max might not enjoy or if he thought he was ACTUALLY hurting him he would use his safe word, but I’m curious to see your take on this cause I loved “red yellow green”, and I would love to know what you think would be the situation in which Charlie uses his safe word

Well yeah if he got the feeling something was wrong with Max obviously he'd safeword, but I also think there would probably be times where he just kind of gets in his own head about it and he feels like he's a shit person because he's 'hurting' Max or smth like it's natural for your brain to sometimes be like 'love of my life is crying because of me, logically that's bad and ergo I am a terrible person' and freak out in the middle of things

But also naturally sometimes someone simply isn't in the right state of mind or mood to go through with a scene, like if Max is looking for trouble and Charles can tell, but he doesn't really feel in the right headspace for it he'd just say yellow and tell Max that so they can figure out if they just want to have sex without Charles being mean or just some chill sex without the dom/sub part, or he'd say red and they just do something else entirely and leave the sex for tomorrow

Or there are times where you think you want something and then turns out you don't like it, like maybe Max is into something and Charles would probably use yellow to just say like um, I love you, but it's a no for me

Or sometimes things probably just go too fast and they're stumbling on something new in the middle of things and you feel like it's too much and too fast and you can't do this new thing without talking about it first so you'd use yellow, or if you're like woah panic, you'd use red I guess

And also I think they both have days where they're just absolutely insatiable and their sex drives just do not match up and it's the fifth fucking time today and 'honest to god Max I love you so much but red because my dick is about to fall off, go jerk off by yourself' and it's not even serious, it's just a thing to laugh about really (although I think that one probably happens the other way around more often lol)

Like idk whether I'll actually write more about it or not, but I also feel the need to mention that safewords obviously do have this potential for being a nice thing to base a more serious scene around and explore some heavier emotions, but it also gives them this rep in fic of always being this big, heavy thing when I think sometimes they aren't, like they don't always need to be accompanied by a massive breakdown, they can just be used casually to check if everyone is fine or to stop and do something else without it being the end of the world

Why oh fucking WHY was the Ever After not the fucking AFTERLIFE!!!! Seriously, this would have been so perfect as a fucking arc not only for Ruby and her team encountering the people who had died along the way while helping them grow. Since you know when good ol' MKEK, aka. "We can't write for shit." did say Volume nine was about growth until they double baked for one of the most poorly written depictions of mental health ever. This was so bad that it made Thirteen Reasons Why look good! Yeah I went there!!!

The amount of missed opportunities that was there we could have seen Penny explaining to Ruby why she had to die in order for Winter to get the Maiden Powers proclaiming that it was more suited for her rather than herself.

Weiss reuniting with her grandfather and even standing up to her father again along with her antecedents and descendants that she is her own person now and reinforces it by showing Jacques why he was never worthy of holding up the Schnee title.

A final showdown between Blake and Adam with the inclusion of Spirit Sun (since in Before the Dawn, he said he saw visions of a tree. Pertaining to Yggdrasil which I am calling it that since in Volume nine it was only called the Tree and that was it.) with blake promising that she will try to make humans and faunus try to understand and come together in her own way if she must. While Sienna Khan and the other faunus murdered by humans or anti-faunus rights activists all place the future of the Faunus on both hers and Suns shoulders.

Yang learning from people from Taiyangs bloodline how to control her anger so much so that she even admits that she isnt perfect to Blake and tells her to find someone that will love her more than she. Alluding to Sun as he was there more for her than Yang was, which the two agree in a platonic manner.

Oh and the fact we could get to see a mix of Ancient Remnant peeps, Afterans and even mythological creatures (respectfully since they NEARLY shat the bucket there) Oh and the BIGGEST ONE OF THEM ALL .

RUBY MEETING SUMMER ROSE

Sweet Jesus even up the stakes a little by having their souls fall apart as they travel across the Ever-After in a Race Against Time Arc but at the same time we see their semblances Evolve and Grow against the main villain the Red Queen (Not the Red Prince since I like to think he is cared for by the Curious Cat) and the Curious Cat not being some stupid twist villain again but this time someone who was created by the God of Darkness as one of the only "good" creations he had seen. and at the end the Tree of Yggdrasil gives Ruby and Co.... the biggest question to be answered right in front of them.

A WAY TO BEAT SALEM

Like holy SWEET MOSES it is so easy to do a Journey through the Afterlife Arc while giving the characters more time to flesh out and help them grow.

Hot Take Assessment:

This is a really cool idea actually. Tbh I think what I would’ve done for the Ever After is keep the gang separated for longer than like. Half of the first episode.

Keep yang alone since she was the first to go down. Maybe have that connect to her backstory of being abandoned by Raven. Maybe have Blake & Ruby sticking with each other. Develop more of the bond that the two started to have in V8 bc that was really cute and I’m bummed it kind of went nowhere.

'you were never a saint' (dazai abt chuuya) 'and i loved in shades of wrong' (bc hes toxic and doesnt know how to healthily like people) 'we learned to live with the pain, mosaic broken hearts' (bc they continue anyway and stick it out, living with the pain of being bad for each other because of how deeply they care). I almost do. Dazai after leaving. moving on to more religion, holy ground. 'for the first time i had something to lose' 'and i guess we fell apart in the usual way, and the storys got dust on every page' AAAAAA IT'S THEM. He held Chuuya's hand in the fight with rimbaud and then had all those close moments in the manga and went home to lie on his bed kicking his feet and giggling don't lie. (god im still crying this isn't helping)

Demon Worshipper, or redemption seeker?

The day was a success! Vox Machina not only successfully completed a mission (from a frankly shady guy) but got an extremely good payout for their quick work.

And guess what the party’s first choice is with their newly earned coin? The pubs all across this new town, who knew nothing about them and their.. rowdy escapades after they’ve gotten some liquor in them.

But sadly, the town learned quickly that they were in for a bad time. Very quickly the party got drunk, some more than others, while only a couple were merely sipping on their drinks.

In other words, Grog, Pike, Vex, and Keyleth were getting smashed. Then you, Scanlan, Vax, and Percy were just getting a nice buzz on. The 4 drunker ones got into several fights, leaving the entire party to be kicked out of every single bar, and inn apparently?? Word spreads fast of their rambunctious drinking I suppose.

Nonetheless, Vox Machina managed to find a decent spot in the forest outside of the town to set up camp. Keyleth passed out rather quickly, only small mumbles being heard from her tent. Vax drug his tipsy sister to their own tent, then Pike and Grog passing out against a tree nearby. Which left you, Scanlan, and Percy talking about this and that, mostly story telling.

The stories the three of you told were mostly before Vox Machina was formed, which was sort of nice. Talking around a campfire always happened, especially with you and Scanlan.

Speaking of which, “Alright you two, I’ll be turning in. Be sure to put the fire out before you go to sleep as well.” Right on time Percy. “Of course we will, you go on and rest that pretty head of yours.” Scanlan, ever the sweet talker leaned back, giving the white haired man his signature smile even through his slurred words.

Percy hummed, before walking to his own tent as gracefully as ever. Scanlan and you were the only ones by the fire now. Your face was warm, ‘From the fire, surely’ but it wasn’t. And you knew it wasn’t. It’s from being alone with Scanlan, the gnome being the object of your affection as of late. Almost everyone in the party could tell, everyone except him. It’s almost comical with how much you try to subtly show Scanlan how you feel. You’d think he’d see it almost immediately thanks to his ‘keen eyes’ he claims to have.

”Sooo, you have any other stories from your hometown? Or are you too busy staring at me?” The sudden voice from said gnome pulled you out of your thoughts, joined by him quirking his eyebrows up and down suggestively. You hadn’t realized that you were staring until now, how embarrassing!

But you chuckled, the alcohol in your system causing you to forget that you were trying to not be too bold. “Too busy staring, it’s hard to take my eyes off of you.” Your words may’ve been slurred slightly, and your mind foggy from the drinks earlier, but you’ve never felt this surge of confidence to genuinely flirt with Scanlan.

And it looks like your words did something to Scanlan, a small blush appearing on his tanned cheeks, but his smirk only grew. “Y’know, I was just thinking the exact same thing about you.” And now it was your turn to have the blush covered cheeks, but you didn’t back down. If anything, this encouraged you to continue flirting with him. “You always brag about your ‘conquests’ when it’s just us. How about you put those brags to good use?”

Scanlan only chuckled before standing up, holding his hand out for you to take. “My pleasure, but we’re gonna have to get a little ways away from the camp, if you follow.” He winked, and you felt giddy as you took his warm, soft hand and let him lead you hand in hand further into the forest but not far enough to lose sight of the camp.

With the faint glow of the campfire behind you and the gnome tugging you along, he finally stopped, making sure to pull you close by your waist. “You still want this, hot stuff?” He held your chin gently, gazing into your eyes with a fire you’ve never seen before. Though the both of you were a little too tipsy to be doing this with a right mind, he still wanted to make sure you truly wanted this.

You sighed dreamily, leaning your face closer to Scanlan’s so your foreheads were touching. “Does this answer your question?” And with that, you leaned in and kissed him. He was quick to return the kiss, showing all of the experience he’s gathered up to this point. And boy, was he experienced.

After just a few moments he began to tug you closer to the ground, trying to get more situated. Your back was laid against the grass, your lips never leaving the other’s. If anything the kiss got deeper, more passionate. Scanlan licked your bottom lip, gently asking for entrance which you granted with a sigh. The gnome reached one of his hands to your shirt, gently pulling up and feeling your bare side. You shuddered as his hand gently drifted around your torso, feeling your muscles and skin with an equally skilled touch.

As he felt around your torso he reached behind your back when he felt something.. rough? He felt around a little, trying to keep you occupied with the kiss, but you noticed with a flinch, pulling away from the kiss in a panic, leaving Scanlan confused and panting from the deep kiss. “Are you hurt?? What is on your back?” From what he could feel still, with his hand still under your shirt, was something circular? And a pattern in the middle of it. You quickly pulled his hand out from underneath your shirt to stop him from feeling your back, from him finding out your secret..

”Hey hey hey,” he cooed softly, pulling back from you completely to let you relax. He sobered up for the most part, the gnome being concerned with how much you freaked out, and he wasn’t entirely sure why. “You’re fine, I’m not gonna touch you anymore, I’m just worried.”

You quickly readjusted your clothes while avoiding Scanlan’s worried gaze, tears starting to form in the corner of your eyes. “I guess we drank a little too much..” Scanlan huffed as he sat down on the forest floor, letting you get recuperated. “You don't have to tell me anything, and I apologize for letting the alcohol maneuver me a little. Just.. let me help you back to camp so you can pass out in your tent and sleep it off.”

His voice is filled with worry, but sincere all the same. You glanced suspiciously at him but relented. That sudden burst of adrenaline made you tired, the alcohol only making it worse.

“Fine..” was all you slurred out, letting Scanlan take your hand even more gently than before, leading you back to camp, almost as if you hadn’t left. Grog was still snoring loudly, Pike leaned up against him like always. The twins were still shut in their tent it seemed. Percy was snoozing in a smaller tent nearby, then there was your tent and Scanlan’s, cozied up rather close, but leaving enough distance to allow privacy.

The gnome gently guided you into your tent, tucking you in but not before giving you some water to help with dehydration tomorrow. Then with one final peck on your forehead, you fell asleep, dreaming of who knows what.

That morning you awoke to poor Keyleth puking her guts out, barely making it out of her tent. The ruckus caused everyone to wake with a groan, and a massive hangover.. For most of them at least. You awoke with a minor headache, but nothing too bad. Scanlan was already tuning his lute, trying to liven up the party with his music.

“If that isn’t a song that can get rid of our hangovers. Stop, or I’ll break the damn lute.” A very queasy Vex threatened, although it wasn’t too threatening as she threw up almost immediately after. You would’ve chuckled if you weren’t too busy trying to remember what all had happened after Percy left to go to bed. “I- I second that..” Poor Keyleth.

“Oh hush, none of you would be in this situation if you hadn’t tried to drink the tavern dry. Again.” Percy, ever the encouraging man, explained for the party. “Just because you’re allergic to having fun Percy doesn’t mean everyone else is. Let them enjoy it for once instead of being.. What’s the word, a prude?” The bard struck back quickly.

You almost laughed, but got busy cleaning up some of the camp site to help the others out a little. As you cleaned and took down tents you couldn’t help but feel Scanlan’s eyes follow you. He always looked away to focus on something else by the time you turned your head, but you could feel his stare linger onto your back. And that, made you concerned.

‘What happened last night? After Percy left it turned into some giant blur. I remember walking off, I think? Why did we walk into the forest??’

You hadn’t even realized the whole camp was packed up until you’d found yourself with nothing left to do. And even after all of it, you came up with nothing. That feeling that something happened within that blur wasn’t comfortable. But there’s only one person that might know, and his name is Scanlan. Is that why he’s so quiet?? He hasn’t said a single word, mostly just humming and strumming his lute mindlessly. He’s never this quiet.. Something happened.

The realization struck you like a bull. ‘Does he know?? No way, he’d look way more concerned if he did. Maybe even.. scared. Either that, or he’s got a really good poker face.’

You sighed, knowing you’d have to ask at some point. You’d known the party for roughly a year now, but you never imagined ever having to tell them about your past.

The party was finally on their way to another town, and most of them were talking, laughing, telling a joke, but not Scanlan. He looked nonchalant but you knew that wasn’t entirely true.

You lagged behind the party, trying to come up with a way to try and talk to Scanlan without the others overhearing it and having questions of their own. The gnome in question glanced back at you, making some awkward eye contact, but didn’t say anything.

It wasn’t just you that noticed the awkward tension; however. Vax caught on quickly, but waited until now to go check on you.

“So, what’s happening with you and Scanlan? Some sort of lovers quarrel last night after we all went to bed?” He joked, but still meant well. Him and Scanlan are rather friendly, so he was able to notice quickly that the bard was quieter than normal, even with the party being so lively. But you shook your head, keeping an uncertain look as you stared at Scanlan, wondering.

“I’m.. not even sure. After Percy went to bed, Scanlan and I stayed up, just talking. I vaguely remember walking into the forest, but nothing after that. Something happened, or something was said.. And I’m afraid of what it was.” You wrapped your arms around your torso, trying to soothe your rising anxiety and worry. Nothing about this feels right, and you don’t want him to hate you for things you’re trying to change about yourself. Bhaal.. He was the most important thing for the better part of your life, but you want nothing to do with him anymore. You’re following the path of redemption, trying to better yourself each and every day.

Your thoughts spiraled, going back to the same conclusion: Scanlan has to know. There’s no other reason he wouldn’t be acting like this. But why hasn’t he said anything to the others? Him of all people would blab about that first thing he got the chance.

“I’m sure if you just talk to him, he’ll tell you. He doesn’t hold grudges for very long. Especially not against you. Do you not realize how smitten you are for each other? He’d be a fool.”

The half-elf chuckled, but patted you on your shoulder all the same. Vax quickly caught up with the rest of the party, leaving you with your thoughts and a tiny boost of confidence to try and ask Scanlan what happened the night before.

You can’t do it. But surely you’re able to get over the fact that you and Scanlan are sharing a room for the night. Totally fine.

“Sooooo.. About last night.” Shit. “I’m sorry that I… kind of pushed you, even when we were too drunk to be trying to do anything.”

Wait, what? “What? I don’t even remember what happened last night, Scanlan. That’s why I was so distant and-” “No! Gods, I thought you were pissed at me!”

He laughed, and you joined him. It almost made you forget why you were talking about last night. Almost. “Why would I be mad, Scanlan? Did something happen?”

Scanlan hesitated, realizing that you really didn’t know anything. And so, he explained everything. From the both of you making out, to him feeling you up, to him feeling something odd on your back and how you freaked out, pushing him away.

Your blood froze, knowing exactly what he felt. Your branding, the last piece of your old life that you can’t just scrub or pray away no matter how much you try. It’s forever stuck with you, a constant reminder of the lives you took, of the strength it took to finally get away and start a new life to try and redeem yourself. And now? It’s coming back, all those memories you tried to keep away when nights got too quiet, and you got too deep in your thoughts. The constant ache of regret and sorrow of the lives that were lost thanks to the selfishness of the people that ran that cult. Scanlan doesn’t know what you did, but he deserves to know.. If you want him to stop worrying, and to truly trust and understand you fully.

“Scanlan.. I need to tell you something. And, I need you to listen to me. Okay?” He’s.. surprised, but nods, sitting silently just across from you. With that, you begin your tale.

A tale filled with bloodshed, a need to fit in and survive, of corrupted rulers, and the realization of what you’d been made to do. It all surprised Scanlan, and disgusted him a little. Yes, he still cares for you, and realizes that you’re doing what you can to redeem yourself and change for the better, but those things still happened. Though, he guesses he’ll just have to appreciate those parts of you as well.

When you finished, you sighed, ready for Scanlan to blurt out insults and accusations. Instead, you’re met with a gentle hum of acknowledgement. “M’kay. You’re different now, you’re trying to change unlike those assholes who dragged you into their fucked up religion for some desperate grab at power. You’re not like them anymore, so don’t feel ashamed of that chapter of your life.”

The relief that washed over you was immense, and so calming. “You don’t think I’m a monster? You don’t think that I should一should burn in hell for the rest of eternity??” Damn, this gnome has a grip on your heart that almost makes you laugh again. Of course he wouldn’t judge you! It’s almost silly how concerned you were to begin with.

“Of course not, you idiot! Sure, you did some things, but you’re acting like we just didn’t beat a shit ton of people with an inch of their lives for some gold in the back of our pockets. If anything, you being an ex-assassin makes you super badass! And if I’m being honest, kind of hot.” He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively at you, being his normal, silly, flirtatious self. You laughed, finally feeling content with your past after so long of hating it and worrying that it’ll come back to bite you in the ass someday.

“Thank you, Scanlan. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to repay you for the kindness you’ve shown me tonight.” With a sincere and gentle smile, you reach towards him and lightly grasp his hand, enjoying the warmth that emanated from it naturally. “Ohhhh, I have a couple of ways in mind you could repay me. After all, we never finished our ‘special forest makeout’ session the other night. Mind if we, continue?”

3. With the glyphs is there only one way to use them or could you possible make them a tattoo and still you them. Since they are then constantly touching the glyphs they could possible do the magic of a mage. If they had multiple glyphs he could mix the glyphs somehow.(like how Luz mixes the glyphs by drawing them with eachother but instead they do it with their ✨️MIND✨️)

4. Also I love the idea of papapulse. Like I imagine Pearl or grian (most likely grian:^P) and Impulse going full demon mode tl protect them. (I saw that you tagged "Parent impulseSV (Video Blogging RPF)" in troubke in the dead of night🥺👏😍) Also is there different types of demons and what type of powers do they have?

5. In the fic "sitting in the garden at your feet" they have a whole picnic and all the adorableness. Do they go on more picnics frequently? (I really hope soo) I would guess they do since in villainous things they were also on their way to a picnic...but then yeah...poor birb tbh and poor scar

6. Have Ren and Martyn already have their wedding or are they still waiting? I wanna see treebark and I want to see mumbo ask grian go with him as his plus one to the wedding<3

Is it possible that etho is a Watcher? I'm mean   he is definitely not human(or maybe he is an immortal human?)  Etho may recognize grian, either as an old Watcher or a new Watcher to be made. Or maybe etho just thinks it is weird to see scar with grian(A HUMAN) The last one is more logical <:^)

8. On that note with Etho. You never confirm nor deny if grian is the "lost watcher" but what if I were to ask you if EFFO is the lost Watcher. I don't have proof but-...yeah idk

10. What did Scott do with the shard? Did he just entirely get rid of it? Also is Scott pure evil or broken. Maybe with the lost of his brother(Xornoth) did he turn evil or was evil just in his genes?

3. How are you feeling emotionally right now?

I'm so weirdly compromised. Started hacking away at one of the fic concepts and this is just. Half-stuck between "fuck I can't write shit, is this just repeating too much or is this going to be something" and "oh my god ow ouch my poor heart oh no oh my god" and like. I need to go to the store? I think? Something like that.

11. Something you like that other people generally do not like?

I have a ridiculously low bar for movies that I enjoy. So many films where everybody else is like "god that was so fucking stupid it had so many plot holes" I'll be like man idk I enjoyed the hell out of that? And it took us a while to realise that it's because we naturally patch out plot holes and weird continuity shit by analysis and meta in the background. There's usually some kind of an excuse that we can make up on the spot about why something happened in a film that to other viewers is like "that was fucking inexplicable and ruined the whole story". Like ok yeah objectively maybe, but it wasn't a problem to me, because x y z. And this same function makes it so easy, I guess, to connect weird dots in media that isn't a patchwork horror by default.

Also to just take a part of a story and reweave it entirely.

But yeah, I'm extremely easy to entertain when it comes to films. However, I cannot be arsed to waste my time with badly written books or TV shows. I could be doing anything else with those 20 hours of my life, no thanks.

Someone told me I have very similar vibes to Aoko and I've been reevaluating myself XDD. No but I can see it. I think we have a similar energy (in my brain at least, I'm much more tired when I go out) and even preferred fashion.

3. SHINICHI/CONAN

Ok, so the thing is, I have a very strange relationship with him.

He's so silly, right? He so fun, he's adorable, so caring and well meaning, but I'm scared of him. I wouldn't want to meet him. I'm terrified even though he's so nice 😭. So I'd rather observe from a distance (hence the drawing ^ but I'd definitely set off his senses a lot.)

(What does it say about me that I'm scared of Shin/Cone but not Kaito? I'm working on overcoming my fear of Conan/Shin, I promise *on my hands and knees* I REALLY AM)

(My irl friend understands why I'm so terrified, I've explained the crazy stunts he's done and his very illegal spy equipment to them... they actually got a nightmare about Conan that night. He's such a law breaking little gremlin (affectionate)) So...no kisses for you, detective... only because I'm too intimidated 😭 But I'll gladly make content dedicated to you and fawn over you <3

If it's not already obvious, Kai > Shin/Cone for me. But he's definitely a close second.

Shin's/Cone's aesthetic? So peak. His detective work and general vibes with the series is so banging. That clean formal attire - I love wearing more formal stuff out. Being judged for it? At this point I don't really care hahaha. His mismatching outfits are so endearing, but I don't really vibe with them.

Canon is kinda frustrating for me. Well, as usual, I love to pick out the pieces I love and keep them dear to my heart. Ugh I want more identity issues and character relationship focuses. And more Shinran, this is literally ridiculous for slowburn lol.

(i have so many headcanons about every dynamic ever, and they all conveniently vanish the moment i am asked to name one, ha.)

hmm....for Perimedes and Elpenor from Epic the Musical, i have a headcanon that they're in a qpr. and yeah, i know that's modern terminology and they are from ancient greece. (i did a research paper about qprs once, fun fact.) but also: a. you don't need a modern explanation of a concept for that concept to exist in a historical context. b. Perimedes uses the word "yeet" in his cut song, rendering any arguments about historical accuracy invalid. c. i'm having fun and no one can stop me. :)

i also think the idea of Perimedes sometimes calling Elpenor "El" is cute. <3

🦴 ⇢ is there a piece of media that inspires your writing?

oh, there's a lot. my writing in general is inspired by a lot of media. but my venture into the world of ao3 in the first place was because of this series:

and, if i remember correctly, it really inspired me to start getting more into fic writing. it probably also influenced the way i write, since i read it at around the time i was kind of figuring all that out. incredibly good series! <3

as for specific fics, i have so many playlists for inspiration. one of the fics i'm currently working on was completely inspired by the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. (it's a Parallels fic still in my drafts, but if i ever finish it, it's gonna have so much found family trope and it's gonna be great)

oh, and my most recent fic, this one:

you know what inspired it? i was on pinterest, and i saw this photo of eggs:

and i got kinda emotional about how much i liked that photo. idk, i was already in a vaguely-sentimental-fic-writer mood, and that photo somehow just opened the floodgates of ideas in my head. the actual fic is only vaguely related to the photo through the fact that both involve cooking eggs, but nevertheless, some photographer out there is directly responsible for the existence of my current most comforting oneshot for me to reread. and i think that's really neat. i love humanity and art and connection and inspiration. <3

🧩 ⇢ what will make you click away from a fanfiction immediately?

okay, so i tried to think of a new answer to this question, but i couldn't think of one, so i'll just copy-paste my answer from three days ago:

okay, with every answer i try to think of for this one, i immediately think of exceptions. because i have a long track record of being in microscopically small fandoms, and if one of those fandoms got a new fic, there is very, very little that would stop me from reading it to the end. i guess if the entire fic was untagged, very explicit smut, then i would click away immediately. (although most authors i've seen do tag well. so i would probably know without clicking that it's something i won't be really comfortable reading. everyone say thank you for the tag system <3)

yeah, i never really have an interesting answer for this one, ha. i have exactly 2 authors muted on ao3. one was because they had hundreds of fics in many fandom tags that i searched a lot, all of which were exclusively a specific trope that made me really uncomfortable. the other one, i don't remember; no works are showing on the account anymore, but it was probably a similar situation if i felt the need to mute them. other than that, i haven't really been let down by the tag system yet, which i guess is a pretty good thing. :)

well. one day in 2004 when visiting my cousin in the hospital after her car accident. i missed an episode of Bonanza, due to...you know, being at the hospital. this was back in ye olden days of TV guides, recording things on VCR's, and....no....wikis.... not like we have now. no sites to tell you everything, no screencaps, no youtube... and ye olde dial-up internet days. and anyway.... the TV guide descrip made that episode sound thrilling. and...and i just had to know!

and i knew... i remember, knowing in my heart. that if i went online and tried to find out what happened. i'd never get off the computer again. well, i was right. the short conclusion to this tale is i found specific Bonanza fansites loaded with fanfiction!!! and i devoured it. i wanna say within the same month? i was hand-writing fanfic in spiral notebooks for Bonanza. still have that spiral notebook and that unfinished fic, literally locked in a treasure chest. and i still remember the entire plot, what i planned to do with it... yeah.

no, i never did find out what was in that episode i missed/didn't get to record... like i said, no wikis or anything of that nature... (we had to leave from school that day so i didn't get to go home and program the VCR; i'd not known that morning we'd be going to the hospital later.) and they didn't re-run the episode again... so i've still not seen it... but, i started writing fanfic that summer. a defining moment in my life. and yes, my cousin is well!

ohhh, hmmm... idk if i could scale it. maybe right in the middle, a 5 or 6? this will make more sense if i describe my process perhaps.

so if i'm really in the writing zone, i just...plow ahead until i'm finished. and then i go back and edit. when i'm "in the zone" oftentimes i don't see things that could genuinely be improved by better phrasing, better language choices... they just elude me cuz i'm so hyperfixated on the story and it's so clear in my head, so, of course it's great on the page! (example: Forfeit was written this way.) usually i then just quickly fix obvious typos/grammar things and toss the fic into the void. then i'll return a few months later when it's no longer fresh, and then see soooo many things that could be better, and depending on my mood i'll go back and heavily edit, or, i won't.

the other process... if i'm not "in the zone" usually i write a few lines, get stuck, and to get myself unstuck i go back and edit what i've done. fixing things, adding things... and usually once those few lines are edited i have the next ones ready to be written in my head. it's a slower process overall.

editing for other people is a whole different ball game. i love doing that (as long as i'm in the mood/have the energy/time) because it helps me refine my writing craft too, in trying to assist someone with a totally different style than mine. it's great. and i've edited/beta-read for so many diff people now with such a variety of styles it's really making me more aware of my own, and how it's changed over the years. and i also just enjoy helping people.

the idea of something getting better just appeals to me i guess. it's a good feeling, it's productive. so in that sense, i enjoy editing. if i feel really stuck on a project, then it can become just another slow-down however. that would be the only negative i suppose.

haha, already answered this in a prior ask but i'll choose a different one.

i spent days learning how to waltz properly. all the techniques, and the process by which one learns... to write one character teaching another character, very, very methodically. and apparently i did it well, i received a comment about it from someone who actually waltzes professionally if i remember correctly who was very pleased with my writing of it! can i waltz? or dance at all? no, no i cannot. but i could probably talk someone else through how to learn!

Sides and Neurodivergency results!

This, this is gonna be a long post!

First I'm gonna look at all the general responses, and then screenshot some of the replies/extra info that was given in these!

Everyone who responded was really nice, so I'm definitely down to do these again, just maybe not for a little bit! Gonna do a read more, and put everything below that!

First, the overarching responses to the questions!

Every person who responded to it said Yes, they think it's okay to write the sides as neurodivergent. One person went on to say:

Next question is this one. I'm asking if they make the sides neurodivergent, which neurodivergencies does the individual give them? There was an other option for any that I didn't list.

To the first one, yeah, that's completely fair. I'm also hesitant to delve into neurodivergencies if I don't feel like I've done enough research or have personal experience with it(and even with personal experience I get scared to do it still).

To the second one, thank you so much for this long list! I didn't know a good chunk of these existed, and this will be so helpful in any future polls about this subject that I do! /gen

The next two questions were optional, and I'll be sharing my favorite answers. The first one:

Why do you/don't you make the sides neurodivergent? And why that/those specific neurodivergency(ies) if you do?

Screenshot 2 says: I don't usually focus on that part of the story, it might be implied, but not explicitly said. despite being a neurodivergent myself. Idk I guess I'm just more interested in fun fantasy world than real world problems that kinda stress me out. But I would totally read a fic that focuses on any sort of neurodivergencies!

Screenshot 3 says: I like to because i tend to project my own neurodivergencies onto them, and i use my fic writing as a way to cope with my own internal issues sometimes. Expressing them with problems similar or reminiscent of my own, even if not explicitly so, allows me to figure out and work through my own issues. I have diagnosed ADHD and self diagnosed ASD and C-PTSD, so i find myself able to write about my own experiences through them.

Screenshot 4 says: When I write them this way, it's for the same reason I write them with a handful of physical disabilities. I want to explore the sides struggling with things I struggle with in my life. Because it's cathartic for me and also it falls under the "write what you know" adage. I also find it comforting or cathartic to read about the sides struggling with these or similar things. I think it's important for people without any neurodivergencies to do a lot of research before writing fanfic (or original fiction) with neurodivergent characters. I would do the same for a neurodivergency that I didn't personally have. But people everywhere *are* neurodivergent, there's no good reason *not* to explore these topics in fanfic.

Screenshot 5 says: If it's all the sides with the same diagnosis, that's another thing entirely. Part of it being that it's applying a diagnosis onto a, albeit fictional, version of a real person. I understand that the *Character* Thomas is different from *Real* Thomas, but it still feels weird and icky to do so to me. I won't judge anyone who does so, because that's a me thing rather than a problem thing, but it's just not for me to diagnose someone via fanfiction.

All of these are fair, personal reasons as to why they make the sides neurodivergent or they don't make the sides neurodivergent. (I did not ask if they did or didn't, which was an error on my part imho).

I will say, that in fandom and fanfiction, giving characters neurodivergencies is not the same thing as armchair diagnosing a real person with a neurodivergency, but I totally get how it can feel similar to that. I think for most people, the reason they give the sides neurodivergencies is to feel more connected to these characters that they know and love, or even to explore the characters more.

As for not exploring neurodivergencies in fanfic, there might not be a good reason for it, but there are definitely valid reasons for it. Honestly, even though I hc Remus and Patton as being bipolar(like me), I'm always hesitant to write about it. Mainly because of my own internal anxiety of what if I get this wrong, what if this isn't true for everyone, what if etc... So I completely understand people being hesitant to write the sides as neurodivergent even when they have said neurodivergencies. It's not necessarily a fear that will go away with time, it just becomes easier to overcome some days(at least for me). And to anyone who is unsure about something when attempting to start writing neurodivergencies in fanfic, research and ask questions. There will be those who are willing to answer.

UHHH I HAD A DREAM (maybe future fanfic? idk)

so uhhh i had a dream i was a guest at the Dimitrescu manor. first of all Lady D was letting me sleep on her big ass bed while she slept on he guest room and i didn't notice it until, well...

i had just recovered from a wound or sickness, something like that. and she decided to like personally bring me fancy wine and cheese to my bed. peak creepy "i took care of you when sick" kinda fanfiction shit.

ok so whatever, got drunk, started making out sloppy (for a very long time like i could one day write an actual fic of the entire thing) and she went to grab her strap. my brain is just fucking genius bc it collected my favorite parts of distinct fics and mashed them together. Alcina went "could you give me a hand, love?" and i went bonkers. my arms are short and her ass was fat, so she noticed my commitment there. then she goes "i got this adjusted for my size" and i almost died. when she was ready and got up to grab the strap, something cockblocked us.

it didn't even make any sense bc we were suddenly in a car in Romania, wearing robes like clearly got outta there in a hurry, driving up a parking lot building to go save someone? but then this someone betrayed us and went like "i actually cursed this whole place so now youre stuck here forever".

because we were so horny we were like "oh no we're stuck in this pitch black parking lot by some evil magic, guess we'll make out in the car!" so we started doing that. HOWEVER we left the strap home and i was like "no way im waking up before i get strapped".

to explain this next segment i gotta explain the magic curse or whatever was happening there with dream logic.

first: the curse this mystery person put on the parking lot was specifically at some gates that were blocking the ramps leading us out of the top of the building, to the bottom. you know parking lot buildings have ramps and all and if theres any gate on these ramps, they're gonna be at the top of the ramp because they wouldn't function otherwise. BUT, in this case, those gates were AT THE BOTTOM of the ramps. so basically my big ass brain was like "the curse was placed ON THE GATE but not on THE HINGES of this said gate" and bc the brain dictates the rules of that world unconsciously it was like yeah of course thats what it is.

so what i did was just drive the fuck through the gates, gaining momentum from going down the ramp and breaking the shit out of the gates' hinges. when we got out of there the car was barely working and i STILL HAD TO PARK. so you can imagine my horny ass REALISTICALLY DRIVING A CAR (context is that i haven't driven in like a year irl) and having a hard time doing it BECAUSE I WANTED TO GET RAILED. also i wanted to do it before sunlight/waking up because of her vampirism and me already knowing it was a dream at this point, SO I HAD LIMITED TIME.

in the end, i woke up right after parking and spent a hot minute feeling really frustraded lmao. oh and by the way, in the bedroom part, Donna Beneviento was watching it all happen through a doll's eyes because Alcina had asked me to basically "baby monitor" me when i was sick. Oh and we knew it. However, we also knew she wasn't behing the parking lot curse thing, so she didn't cockblock us. I have a slight memory that Alcina was aware that Donna was enjoying herself (?)

this dream was somehow a mix of the regular RE8 lore and Resident Lover's lore, so there's that. maybe if i ever muster the sanity to do so, i'll write a proper fic of this dream
