Pomni's hands and hat are the wrong colours on the poster rip

Pomni's right hand is blue on the poster but red in the show

And her left hand is red on the poster but blue in the show

The colour of the hat's stripes are also flipped

It's not a case of the artwork being flipped and then the text was added after, since the rest of Pomni's clothes are correct and the other characters are also correct and not flipped

a sneak peak to the "johnny and ponyboy go to darry after bob dies" fic im writing

However, when he rounds the corner that separates the kitchen from the living room, Darry’s suddenly reminded of a promise he made to his father all those years ago. 

Soda hadn’t even been born yet, but Darry remembers his father crouching next to him as he tucked Darry in that night. He can remember gripping his Spider-Man figurine that night as his dad ran his fingers through his hair in thought. He can remember his mom coming into his room too, but staying by the door as if she didn’t want to interrupt whatever important conversation they were about to have - well, as serious as a conversation a four and twenty-four-year-old could have. 

“You excited to be a big brother, Junior?” Darry had nodded excitedly, his eyes growing huge and suddenly he was no longer sleepy. It was a fool’s question to ask and, honestly, his dad should have known that. As soon as Darry found out there would soon be a second little Curtis, he’d been running around the neighborhood telling everyone who would listen. 

His dad had simply chuckled at the answer and, looking back, remembering the hardened look in his dad’s eyes, Darry thinks the older man knew how hard things would be for his boys in the future. “You have to promise me something, okay, Junior?” 

Darry sat up at that. As a kid, he had loved making promises for some reason; he took them as a vow, even early on. “ ‘Kay!”

“When the baby comes, you have to take good care of him, okay? Mama’s gonna be real tired and I’ll have to help Mama out, so sometimes we’ll need our big boy to help out with the baby. That's alright with you?” 

“...Huh?”

His dad sighed, biting back a smile. “After the baby gets here, Mama’s gonna be in bed a lot; she'll be real tired. So you and I have to take care of the baby together, think you can help me?” And those were the magic words. ‘Help me.’ 

“Yeah! I help you! I’ll show him my favorite toys and I’ll teach him how to play catch and soccer and-” Darry had begun to move the covers off of him, tossing the Spider-Man figurine to the side, so he could go prepare for the baby. 

“Woah, there Einstein! Calm your jets,” his dad put a hand on his chest, all but forcing Darry to lay back down. “The baby won’t be here for another week or so, kid. We have time to get ready, I promise. Can you promise me something else, though?”

Despite the pout on his face as he laid back down, Darry nodded. “When the baby does come,” his dad explained. “Your mom and I are going to be really busy taking care of him- I know, I know, you’ll be taking care of him too. I know that Junior,” Darry grinned victoriously at that, far too glad to be getting his way. “However when the baby gets here, we may not have as much time to play with you anymore.”

Darry can remember thinking, that’s it? That’s what his dad was making a big deal about? “It’s okay, Daddy,” he’d said like he had already thought long and hard about this ages ago. “I’ll play with the baby instead.”

Then his dad got a constipated look on his face that older Darry can now recognize as his look when he’s trying to decide which battle to pick. “Sure thing, buddy. But the thing is, babies are loud. They cry a lot, right? And since the baby will need our help, I need you to promise me you won’t ever get mad at the baby, okay? I want you to come find me if you get mad or annoyed with the baby, okay?”

Darry had had a lot of questions then. Why would the baby cry? Darry may not have every toy he wanted, but he’d say life is pretty good, he doesn’t really have a reason to cry. Also, why would he ever get mad at the baby? Darry wasn’t completely sure, but he thinks he’d been a baby once and his dad never got mad at him. And, Darry planned on being just like his daddy when he got bigger - he has his dad’s name for crying out loud, he kinda has to be like him - so he won’t get mad at the baby either, he promised that. 

It’s this promise that Darry thinks of when he sees two cowering figures standing in his living room. It’s this promise Darry thinks of when he realizes the figures are Ponyboy and Johnny Cade. 

It’s this promise that has Darry moving closer to them before his mind can even begin to overthink if Ponyboy wants to see him. Evidently, his mind didn’t need to think too hard, because Ponyboy lets out a choked gasp as he pushes past Johnny and all but collapses into Darry's chest.

Is nobody talking abt Nova Storm being a potential trans woman?? Like she not only takes Thundercracker's place but also has his sonic booms?? The show has gone over nonbinary people and gender conversations already, this is not out of the relm of possibility at all.

If nobody's gonna talk about it that just means I'm gonna talk EXTRA about it. Headcanon time.

Okay, so obviously Starscream was the one who did the surgery. He'd be all to happy to have unique colors w the removal of Thundercracker's blue and be the only boy in the group. The chance to stand out even more amongst his trine AND a free opportunity to stick his hands in some internals and do as he pleases?? HELL yes.

He was only a little upset that Nova Storm wanted to keep her sonic booms and he couldn't take that mechanism to stick into his own internals. Just a little.

Skywarp started doing makeup because Nova Storm took interest in it. Which of course meant Starscream also got into it too because he would not let his trine walk around with messy lipstick! Don't they know they're an extension of himself?! Their image is his image and they will look the best. Both Skywarp and Nova Storm have shaky hands from their outlier abilities. Good thing no-smudge paint can last without wear for months, no war or prison could ever get in the way of a perfect face of makeup.

Nova Storm realized she was a femme during the war, which is the main reason she got Starscream to do her transition and not a less biased, less unethical actual doctor. It had downfalls, but it was also one of the trine's closest times during the war. The three of them, all sitting around a room meticulously planning "Thundercracker's" death for months, because Nova Storm's a writer and no way she's gonna give up the chance to act out one her stories in real life. Skywarp is so proud of the fake tears she made at the news to this day (Starscream learned mascara just so Skywarp could wear some that day to get it all runny). Y'all will think that the Decepticons' most guarded secret has something to do with the war, or a Shockwave experiment, but no. The Decepticons' closest kept secret is Nova Storm's transition.

Everyone can kinda agree that it was probably the best for Nova's transition to be secret, "Thundercracker" was a very public figure as one of Starscream's trine. It would have been an easily available weakness for other Decepticons or Autobots to attack to hurt Starscream or Nova Storm. But the main reason was for the tragic death story potential and siblings scheming together.

Skywarp and Nova Storm definitely had their whole finishing each other's sentences before her transition, but they totally played it up even more afterwards.

Nova Storm got so happy and euphoric when people started to refer to her and Skywarp as sisters (usually with a negative "s" word before it. Ex. Scary, sinister, spooky, etc.). She still feels euphoric over it, but it's much more normal for her now and then she realizes she feels less about it because is so much more normal and common now and that makes her even happier. It's just a thing for her now!! It's a correct thing and it's natural and that's exactly how it's supposed to be.

not to be IMMENSELY controversial but I would like to voice a thought that I've had for exactly a year now: Intellectual Property isn't that good. It's kinda bad, actually, and I think we need to stop acting like it's lived up to the expectations the band and it's marketing set for it

If I may be so bold as to elaborate: parx peaked at fandom. This was the first album that really had something to SAY. A thru C, and even double dare, were all classic teenage angst, and entertainment was a delightful breakup album, but fandom decided to take a swing at parx's infamously toxic fanbase with a side of recovering from the aforementioned breakup. It was also a pretty marked shift in parx's sound: each release has been sonically distinct, and you can travel a pretty clear evolution from the sound in airplane conversations to the one in fandom, but the shift between entertainment and fandom was HUGE (and controversial). The band was experimenting and was taking on more serious and heavier topics, and it pulled that off flawlessly.

Greatest hits felt almost like a natural continuation of fandom. Awsten goes to therapy and is on the path to getting better! It's an honest exploration of mental health and the difficulties of ever-increasing fame, it remains experimental yet delightful, it's really everything a person can want in a parx album. 10/10, fuckin banger.

But IP? Its lead single has some of the worst lyricism the band has e v e r released, and although it's sound feels like a natural evolution from fandom and GH, it just feels... lacking? static? two best friends gets real repetitive real quick, and the album is just a bit of a slog to get through. I've tried and tried and tried, but the only songs that ever stick out to me (other for funeral grey for just being bad, soz) are real super dark and ritual, and BOY HOWDY does ritual also get real repetitive real quick, and also have some lackluster lyricism. And what does IP really have to say? It's not an honest exploration of anything, really: not mental health, not the fandom, not fame, nothing. Perhaps it can be seen as an exploration of falling in love? In pining? But fandom did that better as a side theme. For an album that Awsten was touting as being meticulously crafted and their best work, it's clearly neither one.

Idk, IP just left a lot to be desired, and as the tour wraps up and the next album approaches, I'm hoping to see and hear better
