saw someone else post about this and i really agree i think it just wasnt the right time for purgatory, the stakes were there but the vibe and the point in roleplay development for individual characters just.. wasnt it for me. I dont know what they have planned for the future so i cant say it shouldve happened later, but i think because of all the trips and vidcon the charas had just gotten to a point where they had started healing from their kids going missing only to be thrown into this, which can be a good point narratively but theres also a couple other things that kinda just didnt let it work out for me tbh

a lot of it was just the rules and events were weird? that probably makes no sense. but like from a viewer pov it felt like the characters were beta testers for this and the rules have been constantly changing, so its hard to get comfortable in. Like when theres a set of consistent rules teams are able to more accurately strategize and such and they couldnt really do that? so it just felt like weird improv the whole time which theyre very good at but it was just.. like idk unbalanced? thats a dif point that contributed

like etoiles pointed this out that they balanced the teams (not really imo) in game but not fandom-wise, like certain teams had a very large fanbase and certain others had a very small one, etc etc. And like for example blue team had much less people on consistently but by the time they realized that it was probably too late to change teams without an event like the one recently splitting green. I feel like the admins tried to mix up the players outside of their usual friend groups but it just kinda cut the ints in half? i know cellbit didnt wanna kill roier, bad was very isolated from all his regular friends and therefore nobody wanted to talk to him (he wasnt on their team), tubbo was kinda suffering because he couldnt use create. Red team was overwhelmingly loud, blue was crushingly quiet, green was... tbh not on a lot of the time. Not good to watch from most POVs

i could be wrong about a couple things but like this is my general feeling on it, odd timing and weird balancing combined with toxic fandoms caused by competitiveness within the streams kinda ruined it for me, you can only curate ur experience so much

I really like how you put the first part because it was also something that I had felt about the event but I couldn’t really pinpoint why? I’m sure that a lot of the planning came down to a lot of stuff we can’t see behind the scenes like trying to be mindful of the ccs/ admins schedules but scheduling purgatory so far out from the disappearance really changed a lot. Like I just got used to not having the eggs and being fine with that and a lot of the ccs did sort of move on/ adapt to it. Obviously most people want the eggs back safe but I think some novelty has worn off after being away from them for so long. I think purgatory would’ve had more of an effect if the wound was more fresh when purgatory took place it would’ve made the stakes higher and I don’t think as many people would be saying “oh I don’t care if the eggs die at this point just end purgatory.”

Also the rules changing I noticed too was really jarring from day to day. I feel like a lot of the qsmp is like this and it’s a product of the admins being quick to respond to complaints in general and changing things accordingly. In my ideal world where the admin team could’ve just run the event with a test group to almost like stress test the rules? but i doubt that’s a very viable option. It would’ve been nice to see teams strategize more than play off the cuff in the limited time frame they have I feel like that only really rewards people with spontaneous playstyles

I think a lot of the problems with balancing fanbases revolves around people not knowing how to act online. The qsmp has long stretches where there isn’t much character conflict so that’s attracted a lot of people who feel really attracted to one pov and just don’t know how to handle conflict. We’ve seen this stuff outside of purgatory like during the entirety of the elections arc and when characters have an insignificant argument in rp. I don’t think you could balance viewers while also balancing skill but its definitely a problem that exists and doesn’t really have a clean solution. Also I do think the division of teams was to encourage different people to interact or possibly drive more in rp angst but it did fall flat in ways that were unintended.

Overall I think a lot of purgatory was trying to cater to a lot of people at once but thats just not working. I enjoyed the event from the standpoint that no matter what the admins want a good audience experience and they wouldn’t intentionally let us down. This seems more like a fundamental flaw in the server maybe? That it’s just not structured to be doing competitive game in this format at the very least.

3. how you feel about your current WIP

tbh i'm not super confident about my writing any time i come out from from a long long hiatus of not posting anything. also like… i'm not super confident writing other charas aside from jamil since i don't really think ab them as much… (sorry leona-natics* whenever this drabble gets posted, but like fingers crossed the sitch will hopefully be exciting enough)

*i think it might have to do with the fact that i kinda hc leona on the grayspec++have more vv specific hc characterizations i like of him, but ig i do see his appeal (one of m'oomfs is a leona-natic and well ahu her propaganda might've been subconsciously assimilated)

but ahaha i tend to write things that i'm very personally interested in so i'll find a way to have fun with it, i'll be gucci i just get too into my head, it's a vicious cycle as a writer.

uhhh im a very sedentary person, probably a result from the pandemic, and being a thorough homebody even after that

hmm i would say id like a nice ambient public place with coffeeeee my blood my life force Some amount of people engrossed in their own work, but like in the ph, esp in a place populated by a lot of uni students, cafes end up being hella cold (im skin and bones the cold is Evil)++noisy (which i don't see as a big bad thing esp since i like socializing with my friends...at the cost of putting off my own writing oops HAHAHA)

17. talk about your writing and editing process

oh boy. here we go. one thing to note throughout all this: my only consistent practice as a writer is inconsistency. (and ig, if i try hard enough, i can usually put out a passable 200-300 words in one sitting)

sometimes i can outline a fic and take forever chipping away at it

^^(case in point: that sebek x vampire!reader x silver fic... i joked abt waiting until book 7 would drop on EN but it has been Stuck. i wanna write bi-disaster sebek so bad though 🤧🤧)

other times my actual writing veers waaaaay into a diff plotpoint instead of what i have plotted out

^^(there're these 2 now-removed bullet points in wcidfy's outline for ch 3 that went: "do i have the balls to write a fever scene… gaguhan anhirap nito pag walang ob [tl: fuck this is hard (to write) without overblots]" and "i also keep thinking of a scene in the (scarabia) gardens…and lying about bees…weird")

and sometimes i can just shit out 1k-ish words unprompted.

^^though this last example leads to my most rough writing++editing ('ily but leave me tf alone' and 'no id rather pretend'), i only look over for immediate errors, but keep iffy-phrasings and repeated words, but sometimes i still miss incomplete sentences that i jus quickly fix after posting ahahaha.

in terms of my more "polished" writing, i edit as i write (<- i do Not recommend this style. it's very unsustainable if ur planning to do more conventional writing/publishing and it's very easy to get trapped in your writer's block)

and after finishing 80% of it, i try to get a second pair of eyes on it (thanks @jessamine-rose mwaps) because validation of works in progress feels good it also helps to have a trusted outside person look at the work with fresher eyes. also smtimes we get into bouncing ideas back nd forth that we spawn new brainrot lmao like this👇

i like to call my writing a "semi-polished first draft" partly out of self-defense and self-criticism. but really, i think i'd rather have "good enough" writing posted than "my best" because i could spend forever hoarding my wips. i think i'll always have regrets over not fleshing out certain beats/using certain phrasings and references, but i also enjoy looking back on my writing and seeing the incremental, microscopic progress. it makes the process more enjoyable than self-flagellating.

on a personal note, the writing workshop scene can be brutal. with some criticism being needlessly harsh, sure it produced some of my "best" writing but the process was Not Fun. while i get that being able to revise meaningfully is an important thing, i think the endgoal of feedback (from my short exp of betaing for friends) shud always be aimed towards uplifting the writer's aim to create/improving the writer's vision of what they wanna achieve, especially in a craft that is as solitary as writing. wait ill rb a post about making ur shitty pots, very in-line with making art in general

29. how easy is it for you to come up with titles?

very hard. i hate thinking of titles, thats why i yoink lines from songs (who cares if the vibe doesnt fit im adding layers of interpretation or sumn🥴🥴). ACTUALLY wcidfy had like 3 other possible names (it was either *rolls out list* hairtie, nonequivalent exchange, or ben franklin effect* wcidfy was the most bearable one.) *i tried to look up how to distill the psychological phenomenon of someone probably liking u more after u do a small favor for them into 2-3 words, but it had to be a WHITE MAN'S NAME 🤢🤢NAW!!!!

for few other examples:

'say what you mean' was initially titled 'oh how the tables turn'

'roommates? more like roomfoes' was first titled 'pet peeves'

'hypothermia' was first titled 'frigid' but then i thought of paradoxical undressing nd stuff and da pseudo-warmth

i've also moved a bunch of other plot beats from wcidfy's main document into a file called "part 45678 of wcidfy"

jessica/yang: unironically think its greatness like jessica was one of the few ideological challenges to yang on the fpa side & even in the whole series she rly represented that political homefront in a way hilde is introduced for the empire jessica is that for the fpa grassroots organizing then in the face of loss is mobilized to rise up against the govt its rly some of the best or rather the most resonant the fpa side gets is thru her imo + her entanglement w yang was even better. usually i hate a rebound but the fact that both jess + yang rly cared about lapp and for eachother n never rly had a chance to admit that to themselves much less eachother before it was too late makes it such a good ship nd rly sets a lotgh precedent [love triangles from the pov of the 'loser' in love..who broke tanaka's heart back ina day]..sunglasses is to yang as locket is to reinhard. ova needed sunglasses yang

dominique/rubinsky: dominique is a citygirl in my canon, she wanted rubinsky as a come up for her career & got entangled in his ??? lotgh ‘logic’ defying actual logic plots. loved her snitching to oberstein in the end.

annerose/kircheis: i think kircheis really loved her like he rly did but i have a hard time getting a grasp on annerose’s feelings + how much of her feelings were ‘sieg is a safe boy’ (in that hes not a 70+ yr old emperor) & later on entangled in her feelings toward reinhard in feeling like they were both responsible for kircheis death

reinhard/hilde: they have to be miserable + not ‘oo guy fucks the one girl of the group’ or even reufriede miserable but really and truly. miserable. i cant see them as having feelings for eachother. i think hilde feels a lot of grievances at taking this subsitute of kircheis (+ annerose) in the emotional aspect for reinhard . mfw i joined for the political coup & became someone’s workwife my hc for their first time is that rein had the worst stroke game (he was wine drunk) + called her kircheis when he came. god (tanaka) had to send reuenthal to his maker bc seeing this happen to His Kaiser wouldve rendered him apopletic

God ok so that's sooo broad that I'm gonna try to sum it up but if you have additional questions feel free to ask I love answering stuff!

OK AN D now how I design object-creatures

I'm assuming you meant object creatures and not just all my creatures, cause I design a lot of little guys.

So I usually have four-ish things I go for in a design depending on the chara-

First is just taking x thing from the object they are and just accenting it. For example, Pepper's tail and ears are Peppercorn plant.

And OJ has that straw tail

So these features aren't really there because they're based on an animal. They're just there cause "orange juice drink, oh maybe they would have a straw tail"

Two, using canon in my design, either through the character's personality, or something taken from the canon.

For example, Baseball in s2 has to tape his pickaxe to his leg to use it. So logically, he wouldn't have little hands to hold the pickaxe with, so that's why I went with hooves! Then from there, I had the idea that he could use his tail to deliver powerful kicks with his legs by leaning back on it (like a kangaroo)

Another example is Fan, he's shown to be able to glide in canon so a lot of people go with bird vibes for him!

Though alternatively, you could also be inspired by the Gliding Snake, the Draco Lizards, or Sugar Gliders! There's a whole bunch of gliding creatures.

And more of a personality thing would be how I give Nickel a little spade tail cause he's a little rat bastard (affectionate). He also has nimble little rat hands cause he's more crafty and sneaky.

Third thing, Including Spec Bio stuff and just neat concepts

This is kinda crossed with the "what would fit this object" thing. But notice that I gave Apple an apple blossom tail. Well then, I developed this idea that maybe the flower would release scents to convey how she feels. Like she might subconsciously release a scent her partner (cough cough marshmallow) finds pleasant in order to relax them. I got this idea from the theory that cats communicate a lot through scent, and it's kinda theorized that cats might release a scent around their human that makes them wanna be friends (with mixed results).

And here for example, Lifering is basically made for ocean life. The idea is that he has a heavy layer of blubber in the winter to keep him warm, and the only difference people would notice is that his 'nose' hole would be smaller. He also has ears that he can use to communicate using them as 'flags' and a tail that he can use to light up in morse code. So basically he's perfect for ocean rescue.

Fourth thing, it just looks cool so why not do it. Clover didn't have a ton of traits go into her design beyond the Clover Flower tail, but she's just kinda nice to look at. Ultimately 99% of her body shape is just cause it's a good design.

And additionally, a lot of my creatures are made from just my vague and rough knowledge of creatures. I have just read a lot of animal facts in my life and kinda just recall a lot of what I've read and seen.

So just having wide knowledge of animals on earth helps a lot! Another part of me making an object-creature is just going "what animal do they remind me of"

Oh and a misc note abt my creatures, I have very few rules but one of them I try to keep to is that they have three toes and four fingers (three fingers one thumb). Some leg only objects have four toes technically (three fingers one thumb) But the idea is connected to how animal life on earth is built roughly the same. Like how bats have five fingers, they just stretched out looong into wings. And cats have five fingers on their front paws but only four on their back, But there's evidence of ancestors having those five toes Im p sure.

It's a similar thing abt how we can find specific bones in birds similar to our own arm and leg bones. Just considering what the path of evolution of these objects is neat.

But since objects reproduce via. magic exclusively in my verse, I kinda just do whatever! It's the reason why traits kinda got jumbled up (ex. mammal with reptile traits) cause the use of magic kinda just scrambled things.

anyway,, point is,, it's a story! legit HATER haters are taking tokyorev too seriously. wakui wrote one of the best manga involving loops and twists and turns and crime and mystery and chaos. like. pls. yeah, there are things that could be different (cough cough MORE BONTEN AND TOKYOREV GIRLS cough cough). but ultimately?? it's about a story about the charas' choices and outcomes and making mistakes and learning to grow and mature from them. it's about love and passion for family, for friends, for significant others (i refuse to believe that koko and inupi didnt just . leave those gay feelings alone. pls they are so dating in the final timeline). it's about protecting those dear to you, romantic and platonic

i started watching arc v! finally. after years of saying Im Gonna. its Happening. (i've tried to twice and cant recall what eps i got to in those attempts, because I literally dont remember anything at ALL LMAO) I'm like, 15 eps in and may I just say some Things. ep 1-15 thoughts below the Cut

-yuzu best girl immediately my god shes already been done dirty tho. she shouldve gotten to fight shingo! fuck emo yuya for stopping it and stepping in! (altho yaaaay xyz :3 my beloved) and also she loses the first duel we see her get to do? when her dad is literally the owner of a duel school?? and his school was at stake?? bc she was distracted thinking of Not Yuya? no. fuck off with that lol I'm picking her up and mentally rewriting all that. the girl she dueled against was super fun tho, I ship them tbh.

-yuya is finally the canonical clown ygo protag I needed. he dresses as a clown in ep 1! he has! a circus deck! thats so fun! hes a LOT more melancholic/prone to moodiness than I expected...the goggles as a mood indicator is fun. also seems to care VERY much what ppl think/need lots of applause and praise or he gets upset quickly which. like, wanting to put smiles on ppls faces with dueling is a sweet goal, but a lot of it feels self-serving, too, which is Inchresting for a protag...I LIKE it and want to see where it goes

-and the whole 'laugh when you want to cry' is, ngl, very Bad and Unhealthy and I cant imagine we're going anywhere good with that. (seriously, dont recall what ep, maybe 4 or 5, when the kids and yuzu were in danger he started LAUGHING trying to imrpove his own mood and i was like DUDE. -gongenzaka's whole 'no spells/traps' and standing in one spot during an action duel is objectively really funny

-surprised at how much I like reiji actually from just what ive seen up to this point, I mean I Like the other ygo rivals and all but usually they have an Attitude...but hes very polite to yuya and him saying he respects yuya's dad is REFRESHING compared to everyone else calling his dad a coward (for?? seemingly going MISSING??) his fashion choices leave a lot to be desired tho. but otherwise him and yuzu are my favs so far I think...we'll see if this changes!

LIPSTICK TREND // JUJUTSU KAISEN

amihan’s note: unedited, pardon my grammar mistakes. saw this vid going around wherein u apply ur lipstick and pretend to do it for ur bf too but end up kissing them. i want to write bout that except it's completely platonic, happy reading!

reader: they wear lipstick and makeup but there's no gender mentioned

-itadori yuji

after setting up your phone, you sit back and apply your lipstick, leaning forward to see if you overlined them. once deemed okay, you turn and face yuji, who's been your friend for a long time now. you saw this trend and thought it'll be fun to try on him. the friendship has been built up to the point where you two do almost anything and are comfortable with each other. yuji looks up from his phone, feeling you tap his thigh, "hmm?" you point to your lips.

knowing what to do, yuji leans in to inspect your lips and nods, "it's alright." you open the lipstick and wave the wand near his lips, "wanna try?" he puts down his phone and nods, a sweet smile on his face. "do i pout? or do i have to pucker my lips?" his tone full of excitement. "just relax your lips," you smile as your eyes glint in mischief.

yuji is ready for the applicator to touch his lips but instead something soft like a cushion lands on his, you pull back and laugh with him. "what the hell y/n?" he cackles and puts you in a headlock, "i was so excited to have lipstick on!" he exclaims in between laughter while you squirm in his grasp, doubling in laughter.

-fushiguro megumi

megumi is not particularly the ideal nor a friend you can show off to others but once you get to know him and warm up to his personality, you will get along just well. your phone starts recording, it's not often for you to pull a prank on him. you see a lot of this video going around and you thought nobody could get hurt with this, simply harmless. as far as you know, the relationship between you two is completely platonic.

after applying the lipstick, you turn to look at him and smack your lips together, "gumi is it alright?" you say while pointing at your lips, he neatly puts his book to the side and crawls closer to you and looks at your lips. just as he's about to say yes and go back to his book, you hold his face and leave a quick peck on his lips.

megumi stops for a second, eyebrows furrowed, mind buffering. you can't help but snicker at his reaction, the boy rolls his eyes while chuckling, "dumbass," he mumbles before going back to his book while shaking his head.

-kugisaki nobara

you nod to the camera and hold a thumbs up as soon as you hit record, you take a few steps back, the bathroom lighting helping you see your face clearly. you make a few popping sounds with your lips before calling out for nobara, "girlie! come check if this matches my outfit," you quickly glance at the camera with a smirk on your face. arriving at the bathroom, nobara looks at your outfit up and down, eyes scanning and criticizing every inch. moving closer, she stares at your lips, "oooh, i like that" she squeals out, lips turning up to a smile.

"you want to try?" you bring the tube in her sight, she nods reaching out for it but you pull away and shake your head. "i'll apply it for you, babe" she playfully huffs, nevertheless, standing still and lets you apply it. little by little, the applicator soon touches her lips, you quickly retract it and steal a kiss from her.

nobara looks at you with, 'are you for real?' expression, you giggle, her face looks so offended. she snatches the lipstick from you, a small smile on her face while muttering about how crazy you are.

-inumaki toge

you’re fixing your lipstick when you remember that one video you wanted to try, and who’s better to try it for other than your friend ever since you’ve been in diapers. you two often pull pranks on each other, toge’s like a sibling you’ve never had, vice versa. a kiss is not that big of a deal nor would it ruin anything, “loves?” you call out, he hums not looking up from his phone. “look, is it alright?” you turn and point at your lips, again not looking up, he nods, “shake.”

you chuckle and flick his forehead, “you were not looking,” you say while squinting your eyes at him, he just rolls his eyes at you. “so?” he holds a thumbs up while nodding, “do you want to try?” you smile at him, knowing his weakness, you two stare at each other for a moment before he agrees.

he exaggeratedly pouts his lips for you, you giggle at his cuteness, holding his chin in place. you swipe a little pigment on his bottom lip, you lean in and press a long kiss on his lips before pulling away. you make kissing faces at him while he looks back at you with his face scrunched up, face fully disgusted, “hey!” you say while laughing.

-okkotsu yuta

yuta just got back from overseas, he wants to spend his rest day with you. catching up with a good friend of his, you’re lazing with him when the video suddenly pops up in your mind, you forgot that you were gonna make and try that video with him. you stand up from resting your head on his chest and set up your phone in front of you two.

yuta sits up from his bed and looks at you with confusion all over his face, “what are you doing?” you didn’t answer his question, twisting the tube to apply your lipstick on. after smacking your lips a few times you turn to him, no words uttered, offering the applicator to him. yuta moves closer to you, a little lost with all of this, he glances at your phone before looking into your eyes.

“relax your lips,” you instruct him as he did as told, just when the applicator is about to touch his lips, you pull it away and peck his lips. you look back at the camera and wink, applying more lipstick before twisting it back on. meanwhile, yuta chuckles and shakes his head at your action, playfully kicking you off the bed.

-zenin maki

you’ve been wanting to make a video with maki for a long time now but everytime you bring up the topic, she always turns it down. now that she finally gave up and said yes, you take this chance to do this trend on her, kind of risky because this may be the first and last video she’ll do with you. shrugging it off, you went for it anyway.

“what do i do? y/n, there better be no dancing involved,” maki says standing behind you while you set up your phone, “trust me, there’s no dancing involved, grandma” you tease her, looking over your shoulder. she rolls her eyes at you, after pressing the record you stand beside her. you aimlessly apply the lipstick, she stares at you with concentration in her eyes, cringing when she sees some overlined spots.

you turn to face her while smacking your lips together, maki brings a hand up to wipe the excess lipstick away. you bring the applicator up, she dodges it quickly, frowning at you, “try?” you ask with pleading eyes, she sighs and lets you do your thing. you smile mischievously at her, stealing a quick kiss.

you look back at the camera and does the fboi squint eyes+lipbite, she chuckles and smacks you at the back of your head, hard. you whine and pout at her, “that’s your last pass for videos,” you shrug smiling at her, “worth it.”

OMG NAME TWINSIES but hi i keep looking at this ask and going "man i REALLY gotta answer this but i have so many flowey thoughts which one should i Go With..." so here are my Most Recent Flowey Analysis Thoughts that i just made my friend listen to :)

i was thinking about how flowey does this. Thing. when he believes someone is his friend. Hes A Big People Pleaser when it comes to people he likes and i think it has something to do with how he interacted with chara,,, chara clearly had some Issues (i talk about this later in this post... i am saying now that chara is Not Evil and if i see Anyone treat them like they are i will scream and throw a temper tantrum) and the few times we see asriel and chara talk its basically just asriel trying to cheer them up or he tries not to upset them (also stating here thats there a Lot more to this cuz they clearly Were good friends given some content that didnt make it into the game and literally any of the context clues in new home. asriel Also just has some issues and he projects a lot but again i talk about this later so) And the way he talks to who he believes to be chara in the no mercy route is really interesting,,, cuz its just. its Exactly That. hes just praising them and going "oh thats a Wonderful idea chara. chara youre the only one that could understand me." and he doesnt cut it out until he realizes that chara might still be angry about their deaths and he goes from trying to convince them to leave to going "youre SICK stay AWAY from me".... and then he went and cried about it to asgore and Was Caught and he immediately tried to make up for it by killing asgore and going "see?? i didnt betray you!! it was all a Joke" and Once Again when he realizes he doesnt really have a way to come back from this he just begs them not to kill him it upsets me very much.

but then theres the way he interacts with frisk where he thinks theyre chara and goes "you HAVE to be friends with me you dont have a choice >:)" and he drops his whole. Flattery Thing. he figured if hes already forcing them to stay there and be friends with him then hes allowed to be a dick because its not like they can leave him Anyway. and when he realizes its Just Frisk whos trying to help him he goes back to his routine of being Very Sweet. he tells frisk he likes their name and that theyre gonna do great no matter what and that theyre the kind of friend he wishes he always had,,, and i dont think hes being untruthful but i Do think this is what he thinks friendship is because he never really had many friends.

he Also does this with papyrus where he Apparently compliments him a lot and offers him advice,,, and i think the way papyrus becomes friends with people is Very similar to what asriel thinks friendship is. papyrus seems to be a Lonely Guy but hes so nice and positive all the time and i think its VERY good for flowey to be friends with someone like that. cuz papyrus is so similar to asriel and flowey needs to know that asriel wasnt an idiot,,, he was just some Nice Kid who didnt know how to make friends.......

and then theres the way flowey presents himself to Anyone Else,,, when it comes to people just in general he seems to immediately try to be a Nice Guy They Can Trust just because thats how he thinks he needs to interact with people,, but with the player he drops all of that because he believes theyre Just Like Him. based on what he says in some neutral dialogue he seems to think that the player is just Acting Nice because they view everyone as a toy and this is just how theyre choosing to play the game this time around (and hes not really wrong about this half the time but the way ut compared flowey and the player a lot is a Whole Different Thing i could talk about forever) and flowey LOVES to project so he cant believe that someone might just genuinely be That Nice. but its interesting that he seems to. trust the player?? like enough to drop his Flattery Thing??? in his post pacifist dialogue hes still a jerk to the player and lets you know that Youre the one with the power to ruin everyones lives. and i think its very interesting..... i wish we got more interactions between flowey and other characters but he doesnt seem to want to Talk to anyone ever. except for papyrus because he Likes Papyrus.

(suicide/death tw) and i think a lot about his "ok wow i messed up REAL BAD i need to DIE IMMEDIATELY" and he does this. like. at least twice in ut. the first time when he thinks he cant feel love and Life Isnt Worth It but also in the neutral end where he tries to get you to kill him. cuz he messed up he Lost he was a Big Meanie and no one likes him so he should Just Die. and if you Dont kill him he goes "why. i dont Get It. why are you Being Nice To Me i just threatened to Kill Everyone??" And he decides to stay in the underground as some form of punishment (it doesnt Seem like thats what it is at first but. knowing him thats probably what it is deep down) but ALSO because he doesnt want toriel and asgore to know what he really is. he thinks it would hurt them too much and they would Hate Him so he has to stay away from them Forever so they Never Know their son is Kind Of A Jerk. and i think thats such an interesting part of his character

asriel is Constantly So Scared of people knowing hes anything but a Perfect Nice Prince cuz hes just. So Lonely. does not view himself as worthy of unconditional love. cries when you forgive and hug him cuz he doesnt Get It how could Anyone be nice to him after seeing who he Really Is........ i wonder if that kinda started after he stood up to chara,,, like the few times he Does stand up to chara something Bad immediately happens. he told chara he didnt like their plan and they said Something that made him go "no!! id never doubt You chara.... im not crying Big Kids Dont Cry." because hes a people pleaser and hes scared that chara wouldnt want to be friends anymore if he refused. and when he stopped them from killing everyone they Both Died. and asriel Confirms that yeah hes hated himself this whole time because he thought he messed up and because of Him Specifically they are Both Dead and for the Longest time he thought he should have just listened to them. and in the no mercy route the one time he stands up to chara gets him killed Again.

and i could also talk about how chara isnt bad for such a long time... i think chara is so interesting. i see a lot of people either portray them as violent or manipulative when its more like. theyre probably just really traumatized. they probably just talked to asriel the way they did Not because they were manipulative or whatever but because thats just the way they believe the world works. they probably didnt think they were allowed to cry because of something in their past and they tell asriel this not as a bully but as a fact that they learned. that Big Kids Dont Cry. and flowey treats the player the same way. hes learned that its kill or be killed and if youre nice you'll just get hurt. he believes this to be fact and he needs you to Know This

but back to floweys whole Friend Thing. i think its really interesting that he constantly insists hes your Best Friend. like... he clearly wants friends and hates being lonely and the title of Best Friend is something really important to him........ poor kid,, once again i think its very good he and papyrus are friends. they are Pals every day i think about the alarm clock dialogue and go oh my god papyrus gave him a Matching Scarf........ just like how he and chara had the lockets............ its another Best Friend Item hes Healing and making new friends...... and hes embarrassed to show that he might actually care about people.... And That Person Is Papyrus..... His Bestie.... i could also talk about my thoughts that flowey actually Can love and care about people but that hes just deeply traumatized but i really Will never stop talking if i get started on that...
