yandere! childhood friend who still reminisces about your childhood together. yeah, the two of you may be grown now but he's been your day 1 and he just can't help but think about how you used to cling to him and adore him so much! he wishes you'd still do that but it is what it is. no matter how much he wishes otherwise.
yandere! childhood friend who did everything with you. yeah, that also includes practicing kisses. he's your first kiss, and he's never gonna let you forget that. you said you wanted to get better and who is he to refuse? he can't pass up such a prime opportunity! and it's not like he wants anyone else to take it. god no. that would be a tragedy.
"yeah, remember our kissing practices? hah, we were such kids back then!" he watches as you snicker, feeling a warm flush creep up his spine. god, of course he remembers. young and immature as you both were, you both learned together. that's all that really matters to him. "thanks to you, i can now makeout with my partners with ease. you're the best man." and has he told you how muchit infuriates him that you're using your experience to get with others? to please them with the mouth that once touched his? nah, he really can't stand for it. but he isn't allowed to say anything. he's just a childhood friend after all. not for long though.
yandere! childhood friend who wishes he would've accepted your offer to learn how to fuck as well. but no, he just had to be way too delusional back then and tell you to wait for the right one. he must've thought that you'd feel the same and confess then he'd court you slowly before getting to that stage... that never happened unfortunately. not yet at least. he'll make it happen.
yandere! childhood friend who's still a hopeless romantic at heart. a delusional one but a romantic nonetheless. he brings you out on "platonic dates" or whatever the fuck you like to call it, comfort you after your shitty excuse of a partner dumps you, and treats you like the deity that you are. you only deserve the best and he'll be there to provide. none of these losers can't treat you well. he can. he really hopes it'll help you see him as a potential boyfriend!
"i just," you blow your nose, tears streaming down your cheeks as your childhood friend rubs at your back tenderly. "don't know why he'd want to dumo me! we've been going strong for a year already! it's so out of the blue!" yeah, out of the blue huh... not really out of the blue for someone who's been actively theeatening that poor excuse of a man. that menas him, obviously. why he's been threatening him, you ask? because he's not treating you the way you should be treated, duh! sure you look happy but are you really? probably not, he's sure of it. "hey hey, don't worry... I'm here now, aren't i?" he always is, and he always will. you just need to understand that fact and you'll start seeing him in a different light too. don't worry, he has lots of patience. just... don't go sleeping with other people again.
yandere! childhood friend who may or may not be totally super duper mega in love with you. yeah, definitely not in love with you. that would be weird, right? come on, he's your childhood friend! sure you two might've kissed when you were kids and promised to marry one another but those were kiddy promises! that's all they are! he... totally doesn't believe you actually wanna marry him and be his forever and ever.
"so have you started thinking about your future?" he pauses at your question, rubbing at his empty ring finger. future, huh? funny how you ask that when you two are destined to be together at the end of it all. i mean, the two of your promised it as kids, didn't you? sure you're exploring now but at the end if the day, it's him that you come back to, don't you? even if just as a friend. but that's the present, not the future. "nah, not really. just wanna focus on the current moment, y'know?" bullshit, and he knows it. but he doesn't wanna scare you away. not yet at least. you're still out lookign for others which means you haven't come round to the idea of you two together. not to worry, he'll give you a little more time to see how good he is. how good things could be between you two if you just gave him the chance. "i mean, you're here with me." he chuckles, taking your hand in his before placing it on his cheek. you're warm. he likes your warmth, it's so soothing. "that's more than enough for me." half lidded eyes gaze at you, full of emotion and hidden longing before he hums softly. the teo fo you sit in the park in silence, enjoying each other's presence. in the moonlight, everything seems to slow and engulf the two of you in a quiet embrace. he only wishes you would just love him back already. "yeah, I'm glad to be by your side too, best friend." ...he really hates those words. don't worry, good things come to those who wait. and you will be his in due time. you've already had his heart, now all he needs is yours.

Joker's kid! reader
Route: Recovered dove: How they and batfamily got close
Author's note: Route: Recovered dove will be consistent of parts that describe the future of Joker's kid! reader, who succeeded in getting close with batfamily, so you can say it`s more hurt/comfort, maybe fluff (?) In my masterlist, you could see another route (Route black fog), and this one will be the opposite to Route: Recovered dove Warnings: Grammar (as usual), mental traumas
Ideas for some parts form here This part is here despite everything, so please enjoy reading 💖
The first person who you got close with was, of course, Alfred. Seeing how clueless and helpless you were with basic living stuff and how eager you were to learn and help made old butler realize that you were not a threat, you are just a child. And a very sad one at it. It seemed like you didn't understand how a kid should behave. Kids shouldn't be scared all the time, and kids should not flinch in various situations. But then again, have he even seen a normal kid in this family? Of course not. You were traumatized just like the rest of the kids. And he knew he had to be gentle with you.
Even if you thought that on the family movie night you were alone, watching the rest of the family having happy time, you weren't alone. And weren't that sneaky. Alred watched you. He saw your silent tears. He understood your pain and how you were hurting. And that's breaks his heart. He knows that you were struggling with a lot already, new life that was too complicated for you to navigate and get used to, new things, new home, new people, but same weight of judgment from others on your shoulders, and you were facing this alone. So he decided to stay by your side. Every morning , he wakes you up, cheeks up on you. You are invited to help him cook, but he keeps an eye on the knives and other sharp objects, especially after scissors incident. You are invited on afternoon tea time, and he is invited on your TV time. He also introduced you to various old classical English soap operas (Firstly, yes, he watches them, secondly, would show detectives, but he doesn't want you seeing something disturbing), which you watch with interest, try to understand how people act. He practiced speaking with you, helping you talk instead of mumble. He also is the one who tells you about family, telling you about each and every one.
Alfred, I'm happy to see you figuring out your likes and dislikes, considering all of you try is new for you. You liked the breakfast? He will cook it for you more often. You liked the tea? You will drink it on the afternoon tea.
For you, adjusting to your new life isn't easy. You have specific habits you can not control, and he knows some of them, Jason had similar, for example, hiding the food in your room or eating once a day. So he has to make you eat more, and explains to you why hiding food in your room is not a good option. He also notices your other habit that you do not notice. You make your wounds worse without realizing it. One time you accidentally cut yourself by breaking a cup, accidentally of course, and he doesn't blames you, even if you do not belive him, but he noticed your fidgeting with wound, not letting it heal fully. But unlike Jason, you have other habits that he can describe results of trauma. Flinching is just one of them. You tend to stay away, have distance, and you are always too quiet. He sees how you are afraid of showing your emotions, how you prefer to choose something natural, for example when he was bandaging your cuts from broken cup he was about to use bandages with animals, kids patterns Dick choose and forced on Damian, and you asked him to use a simple white one.
Alfred is here for you, and he wishes others would be too. So, of course, he had a stern talk with Bruce about your situation. And Bruce remembered what was escapism his sight. Yes, you. When you were in medbay, your condition was critical, so he was on alert, but since you recovered and started to stay in manor, he allowed himself to relax. You were on every breakfast, so you were fine, right? Wrong! After talking with Alfred, Bruce decided to pay more attention to you, but without an immediate approach. That was also the time he noticed your new haircut. Yes, he definitely needs to give a closer look to you. And he noticed those worrying habits Alfred told about. Okay, Bruce, we have a child who are traumatized. What will we do to help them without taking them in? Lead them to therapy! But how do you accept this idea? So he slowly started building the communication with you. It started with check-ins, when small questions about your likes and dislikes. And then there opened the opportunity to talk with you about going to therapy. One time he saw you watching a documentary on TV, he joined in. And while putting his cup on the coffee table, he saw you flinch. Making you talk about it wasn't easy. You just stared at him, looked, as if trying to construct perfect answer just from his reaction, but at the same time, knowing that answers that worked with Joker won't work with Bruce. He knew you needed his patience, his understanding. You needed safe space, and he decided to give you that. And when you did talk, he held his breath. He knew things were bad, but hearing this from you made him feel worse. He reminded you that you were safe now, that you had him. He gently hugged you while you needed him and comfort. And when you calmed down, he introduced the idea of therapy for you and met your confused look. He had to explain it simply, and after some time, you agreed. Although it took some time, he now drives you to every one of your therapy sessions, making sure you feel alright and fine. And when you were well enough to go to an explore city, he made it a point to show you good but quiet places in the Gotham. It started from little garden park, when quiet book shop, and small cafe.
On one of those days, he was driving you back, he left his tablet with open files on the latest investigation about the Scarecrow dashboard, he was looking through them while waiting for you, trying to figure out unusual composition of the toxins, he couldn't find it in his date base, and Tim was asleep after whole week of all nighters As you saw the tablet, you couldn't help your curiosity and look at it, and as you recognized what you saw, you quietly said.
- it is an incomplete product of the conversion of ibotenic acid to muscimol
Now that got his attention, he looked at you, a bit confused that you said so, but decided to see if you could say more
- I've run tests, it didn't recognize it as such
- It's probably because it's incomplete, frozen by other chemicals. In this state, it provides both effects. Father used to use it in this state.
- How do you know this? - he asked, a bit of suspicion in his voice
- well, I was in his lab... and I know this because he tested it on me, too.
Bruce regretted that he asked, remembering how much of a trauma you had because of your father. He put his hand on your shoulder in a comforting way
- You are not there anymore - he said gently, on which you just nodded.
- Do you work with that sort of things a lot - you said pointing on the tablet
- Yeah, more than I would like - Bruce said, a bit tiredly
- Can I see it? I might recognize some more.
Bruce looked at you, analyzing your words and your body language, and seeing that you are sincere, he said
- when you are about to have an excursion in a real lab.
From that moment, you became a welcome guest in batcave. Of course, Bruce keeps an eye on you while you were there, but you've never done something to make him distrust you. And this way, your knowledge may be used in a good way.
You were surprised when one day, you heard knocking on your door just after breakfast and saw Dick. He was smiling at you and greeted you happily when you opened. He started happily bubbling about something, and you couldn't quite keep up with him, so you just looked at him confused, yet you were still happy to see him, happy that he kept his promise.
- So, are you going? -he asked, his tone giddy
- where?
- I promise that we will hang out, and considering good weather I decided we can go for a outing in the garden - you looked at him confused.
Dick heard from Bruce and Alfred that you were making progress to go outside, but yet you didn't do it regularly enough, but you vitamin D! And, since he promised to hang out with you, and the weather today was good, he decided that it was the perfect opportunity to interact with you to sun. He understood you didn't want to go far from home, so the garden seemed like the best choice.
Before he came to get you out, he prepared a cozy little hang out spot, comfortable chais, and table with boardgames and snacks. It wasn't in open sun, but it was lightened just fine. He wasn't sure if you liked boardgames or were familiar with them at all, but he knee it was a good option for bounding.
When he checked, you were all set to go, he lead you outside, walking slower than usual so that you could catch up. Seeing your cute curious eyes taking in all the surroundings of the garden was endearing.
When he led you to the spot, he told you about games, letting you decide in which play first. For every game, he explained rules, as good as he could remember them. Although he guided you through each and every game, he was enjoying it, enjoying seeing your reactions, enjoying seeing sparkles of happiness in your eyes. Even if he knew you deserved the chance, seeing you now made his resolve stronger. He couldn't help but feel protectiveness towards you. He couldn't help but want to be a reason for your smile, Gods, he wants to see you smile so so much.
From that day, every time he is in manor, he pays you a visit. He will take walks with you in the garden, or he just joins your activities. Watching birds? Okay, he is in and even talks with you about them, and by the way, he bought you puzzles with robins and nightingales (he thinks this way he will make you even closer to the family). Watching TV, he is in, sitting next to you, asking you opinion. Oh, by the way, you are attending family bounding events. He will drag you there and beat up everyone who will disagree with him on it (but of course, not on your eyes)
And when he saw in in batcave, seeing how you talked with Bruce about some sort of toxin, he was amazed by how good you were in it. He was happy to see how you were fitting in both civilian and vigilante sides of his hectic but lovely family. He can't help but smile.
Jason had the opposite reaction on seeing you in batcave. What the hell were you doing this. How the hell you were able so easily to differ between toxins and their components. It wasn't just right. You weren't right. You shouldn't be here. Was it some sick prank from the clown that Bruce, Dick and even Alfred ignored? Okay, Dick is gullable, but Bruce? Was his habit of picking up children for his collection that bad? And Alfred.... he knew the man knew he was more he was letting on, so it confused him.
He seemed to see every step you made as wrong, and he wasn't about to stop until he started watching. He knew that neither Bruce, Alfred, or save goodness, Dick never would hit you, and considering how long you were here, you still was flinching. He noticed how you were hesitating to do things you should not hesitate to do. How you were, unlike your father, reserved and quiet, as if afraid to show yourself.
It made him think. Think really hard. Were you really a monster he saw you? Or were you a victim yourself? After that, he couldn't help but see similarities. Another child who grew up in a crime alley, another child taken in by the Bat, another child whose life was impacted by Joker.
Broken. He was broken by clown, so were you. Even when he was broken, his family didn't see him as lost cause, so why did he immortal thought you were one?
He decided to give you a chance. After 6 are not a monster .... yet.
Though he planned on tolerating you in distance, one time he couldn't just stay away. You were in the living room, but instead of watching TV, you were trying to read a book outloud, probably practicing speach (he can vaguely remember how Dick and Alfred discussed it), but seems like you were struggling. Some words were coming out broken, in your stuttering voice, but you weren't giving up
He walked up, sitting next to you, quietly looking at the book, not skipping the fact that you flinched. The situation was a mess. He never was good with kids, demon-brat is his witness, but he can do at least something, right?
- A knight - he read for you, voice more gentle than usual one - and that one is responsibility.
Reading with you slowly, helping you to promote and understanding words was oddly calming experience. Maybe you weren't as bad as he thought. Maybe you are even cute. Well. You really rubbed onto him.
While Tim also keeps his distance from you, he does study you. And he notces all the sings that you weren't in your previous predicament by your desire, which is obvious, who would have choose such a fate, he never did. Yet, you make him worry. He can't control it.
All the data shows that even though you were a real kid of Joker, you became Joker Junior after Tim. That means that after Joker failed with Tim, his attention went to you. It doesn't put right with him.
He knew that he shouldn't feel guilty, yet he could not. All he can do is just ignore you when you come in to bring him coffee, duty you help Alfred with.
But when he, after much needed sleep, expected to continue Scarecrow case right when he left off, that horrible toxin, only to hear you helped solved it and find antidote, he was more amazed than horrified.
He decided to make an investigation of his own. He purposely left different printed chemicals formulas around, so you would notice and comment. Although he thought you won't recognize any of them, you did recognize them, but couldn't name every one of them scientifically. He could tell you had knowledge, and thay it could be really useful, but you didn't get structure for it in your head, so he decided to help.
Kindred spirit, that how he felt about you when he saw oh so familiar thirst for knowledge in you. And you were learning quickly, too. You hand your own struggles. But he saw that you worked to overcome them.
And well, he liked teaching you, telling you about his tech. He liked going you actually listened. He liked how, after a few study sessions, you, though timidly, were asking him real questions. That made him want to spend time with you
One day, when you were supposed to study with him, he decided to help you study something else : games. Yes he had to choose 0+, so that he could be sure I won't trigger you, but now he was a game parter. And Dick sometimes joins in.
Now, he can actually look at you. Smile at you. Not only did you 6 his interest but won a place in his heart.
Damian, grumpy as always, was taking out his anger on training dummy. He just had not one stern talk, but three! Subject: you. What does his father mean that he should try and understand your situation? What does Alfred mean when he says that Damian should be nice to you? What does Grayson (Even Grayson!) mean when he says that you and him should get along? Him? Damian Wayne, get along with sorts of you? Have you done anything in your life for it?
You may be smart in chemistry and quick lerner, but he is smarter! He is better in general. And you are weak, clumsy ... maybe that's why everyone is protective of you. Tt. That makes you even more weak.
Though Damian can see how you try to get along with others, how you try to get used to manor. How you try to avoid him. Wait, he is the only one in manor whom you avoid. At first, he didn't mind, Drake and Todd avoided you as well, but now. He is alone in this avoidance game. And he feels like he is losing. He hates losing.
- What's so special about you? - he thinks, as he walks to your room, the furtherest one, he noticed. You are avoiding him.
He watched you do different things, watching birds, reading, and solving puzzles, as if you avoided him.
He shouldn't even be this pissed off about it. Why should he. But he is.
He can't believe he talks with Grayson about how to spend time with you. He can't believe he asking Father for special crayons, once that would be easy to your for someone who never held them before. He can't believe he is asking Alfred about your living room visits. But here he is, sitting that paper and crayons on the table. Waiting for you. Once you are in the room, the trap is closed. He says that you WILL draw with him, and you do.
He feels oddly proud when you say that the bird he drew is pretty. You should admire him after all. But he can't help but smirk. He feels oddly concentrated when he explains to you how to draw, his voice calm, as if it was his only purpose to make you understand how to do it.
Surprisingly, he doesn't mock your works. He just looks at your reaction. You seem as monotonous as ever, yet he can see that happy glint in your eyes, of which Grayson told him. He feels oddly satisfied.
Though he would never admit it all outloud, to even to himself. This knowledge is inside him, warming him up, more than he thinks. By the way, he scheduled his next art class for you already.
It takes time to build trust. It takes time to get used to, but it seems it has been enough time for you to finally become a real part of batfamily. But, of course. It's only the beginning of the story

sukuna and reader need to start saying no to their daughter otherwise she’ll turn into a snob
"you two need to start saying no to her, or she’s gonna turn into a snob," uraume says, arms crossed as they watch babykuna get hand-fed a strawberry by sukuna, who is fully crouched next to her little princess throne (a custom, ridiculously expensive high chair) like some kind of devoted servant. "you realize," sukuna scoffs, popping another strawberry into her mouth, "that at the end of the day, she’s a sukuna."
"which is exactly why i said what i said," uraume deadpans. but you shake your head with a knowing smile, reaching out to smooth down your daughter’s hair. "not entirely. her papa might be a nightmare, but i’m here to balance it out," you say, tapping her chubby little cheek. "besides, we teach her to be grateful for what she has, right, baby?"
babykuna munches on her strawberry, eyes shining as she nods vigorously. "gotta have courage, be kind, and say 'thank you' when i get stuff!" she recites, somewhat garbled through her mouthful.
"exactly," you praise.
uraume squints. "yeah? and what about when she throws a tantrum because she wants an extra present?"
"mama says i can’t always get what i want," babykuna says sagely, raising a chubby finger. "and papa says if i cry enough, sometimes people cave in."
uraume turns to you with the most unimpressed look. "are you kidding me."
you glare at sukuna. "excuse me?"
he shrugs, entirely unapologetic. "what? it’s true."
you groan, pinching the bridge of your nose. "baby," you sigh, "we do not manipulate people to get things."
"right," she nods. "we ask nicely."
"…and if they say no?"
"make the saddest face ever."
uraume gapes at you. "she’s already a menace."
"she’s just smart," sukuna says proudly, booping babykuna’s nose.
"i say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’!" babykuna exclaims, throwing her arms up in pure delight. uraume sighs, rubbing their temples. "you guys are so doomed."
on a more serious (author's) note, sukuna would not allow his daughter to turn into a snob :P he is sukuna after all, and reader is always there to smoothen things out.

because i liked a boy - spencer reid x fem!reader
somehow a reporter finds out about reader's relationship with none other than her coworker, dr spencer reid and shames her for it during a press conference
genre: flangst wc: 1355 warnings: medialiaison!reader established relationship, slut-shaming, feminism talk, upset spencer, morgan mention, mentioned case involving children
"This is a rough composite sketch of the UnSub. If anyone sees him, please call us using the number on the screen. Any questions?" you speak clearly, eyebrows raised and back straight.
It's a tough case this time, not that any are easy. The ones involving children–like this one–are the worst. You know that. It’s yet to hit you this hard, though. You're used to being in front of a camera all fake smiles and airbrushed to look porcelain but you're struggling to hold it together today. It’s never been easy to see grieving parents begging for their kid’s life on national television.
It also doesn't help that you haven't seen Spencer much these past two days. Ever since HR found out about you two, he’s been trying to keep his distance for professionalism’s sake. You appreciate it, of course, but you wish everything could be normal again. You miss working alongside him, sneaking tiny waist pinches every little while. Maybe you’re codependent.
One of the male reporters holding a microphone asks plainly, like it isn’t rude, “how do you expect this case to go to trial with your ongoing relationship within your team? Isn’t that some sort of conflict of interest?”
Now, how did they find out about that?
Luckily, Hotch steps in before you need to form a response. You’re left flushed and out of sorts, needing some water or something. It’s not like you’ve never had a bad press experience but nothing that came after you specifically. Why do they even care in the first place? Are you really that interesting? Is your love life really that interesting? His mustn’t be.
To Hotch, he spits, “it’s a valid question, Agent, you can’t expect no one to comment on one of your unit’s members sleeping her way to the top or… sleeping her way to getting a case dismissed.”
You want to stay, fight, cry, maybe even guilt him into apologizing, but, to your dismay, you’re pulled away by Morgan who looks just as upset as you do. If there weren’t a room full of people stopping him, you’re sure he would’ve hurt the guy. You don’t want to be dragged away by the action figure that is Derek Morgan so you try to pour your feelings into words. “The conference– the case–!”
Morgan stares at you in a way that very clearly says are you done? And, yes, you guess you are. You sigh, nodding reluctantly.
“Hotch will figure it out,” he assures softly but firmly.
You’re escorted to the break room where you watch the television only to see that very same reporter, spewing his nonsense again. Low and behold, he’s still stuck on the topic of you.
“An anonymous source discloses the identities of two FBI agents with the Behavioural Analysis Unit that are in a relationship of hidden rendezvous.”
The pitter-patter of your heart is louder than usual as he reads out your names along with the loving message, “I guess this proves that women really can’t be trained. What a shame, she’s certainly got–”
With that, you shut off the disgusting noises coming from someone claiming to be a man. You’ve never been good at taking insults but this was something else entirely. Your chest burns. You’re being perceived as a person you’re not. Everything you’ve tried so hard to build could all come crashing down at this very moment if you let it.
All because you liked a boy?
It feels ridiculous, like a step in the wrong direction for all womankind. That’s dramatic, you’re sure, but this is so twenty years ago. What happened to feminism, for fuck’s sakes? You wouldn’t give Spencer up for anything less than solving world hunger, but you wish this whole ordeal could’ve never happened. What if you lose your job? What if you lose this case because you’re too sensitive to male attention for your own good? Unfortunate circumstances led here and you wish it could be simple. It’s a tall order, but you wish UnSubs and all the people who enjoy pinning others down would simply cease to exist. You wish Spencer was here.
As if reading you all the way from canvassing the neighborhood, he’s suddenly visible, walking towards the doorway with quick Converse-sounding steps, Morgan’s hand on his shoulder. He looks worried. What worries you, though, is that he looks guilty. That hurts.
Familiar arms wrap around you as he kneels on the floor in front of the couch. “Hey, I heard what happened. Are you okay?” Spencer whispers, lips pressed into the fabric covering your shoulder.
You ponder the question for a moment before nodding. You’re not quite sure how you feel, if you’re being completely truthful. Criticism was never something you’ve taken well. Not ever. Maybe you deserve it, though. After all, you are sleeping with a coworker. You’re an agent, it’s not appropriate of you in the least. You should’ve kept to yourself, been the good girl the world wanted you to be. Female agents in the big bad FBI are already seen a certain way. You just happened to worsen it with wide-eyed affection.
How he always does, he mutters an explanation, “people like that don’t have anything going for them, you know. They report on others because their own life is insignificant.”
It’s wildly the wrong time to laugh but you do, flushed cheeks plumping from a happy smile. He pulls away and your hands find his face like they always seem to do. “I know.”
He nods. He pushes a strand of hair behind your ear.
He’s so unbelievably pretty that it almost makes you want to cry. Those same somber eyes that you’re sure mirror yours stare deep.
“It just sucks… you know?” you say so very quietly.
Nodding, he chews on his lip. “I know.”
“It’s like… I thought slut-shaming was over,” you laugh bitterly.
You can tell he feels bad. It’s not like this is his fault. You know he believes it is, anyways.
“It should be. It’s ridiculous. This isn’t your fault. That useless guy should be spending the night in a cell for harassing an agent not on the ten o’clock news airing out our personal matters.”
It’s really not often you see him like this, upset and wielding pain-filled threats. It never fails to amuse you. You’re not sure why. Something about the juxtaposition of his usual sweet demeanor and this annoyed ranting one, you suppose.
“It’s kind of funny.”
“Funny?”
You smile and nod, your thumb tracing his lower lip. “A little. We’re the most enthralling news in all of small-town-Colorado.”
While Spencer doesn’t find it quite as giggle-inducing, he mimics the pull of your mouth’s corners and shows his reluctant agreement with a bob of his head. “That is… silly, I guess.”
“We’re basically stars,” you shrug.
In honest disbelief and certainly awe for your ability to brush off the event with humour, he shakes his head, curls falling out of place. Your fingers rush to correct it. The golden eyes you love stay stubbornly put on your own. Breaths mix together in the close proximity despite you not recalling how you got so close. It’s proven difficult to care when his plush lips find yours. Carefully and with love, he kisses you. With no intent, no desire other than to make you feel better. It breaks stickily, the shimmer that once was on your lips now ghosting around his mouth. You grin.
“Are you sure you’re okay?” Spencer tenderly mutters.
Gently, you answer, “I’m sure. I mean, we didn’t do anything wrong.”
You believe yourself. You’d never doubt your relationship with Spencer. It just sucks that they had to poke holes in your safe place. That safe place being Spencer. Your home. You know because of your profiler-by-association background that he was right about the reporter being not fulfilled enough in his own life that he had to insert himself into yours. That didn’t make it drastically better, anyway. Perhaps your personal life should be kept away from work.
But it’s not your fault that work happens to include Dr. Spencer Reid.

Aim for the Sky Part 35 | Rooster x Reader
Summary: You're conflicted by your own words, unsure if you can stay away from your husband. There's only one person who can tell you the truth about Bradley, but she's the same one who seems to be on a quest to ruin your life.
Warnings: Angst, adult language, body image, DILF Roo, pregnancy, jealousy, mentions of cheating
Length: 3000 words
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Female Reader
Aim for the Sky masterlist. This was written to accompany my series Is It Working For You? along with a bunch of my one-shots and other series, but it can be read on its own! Check my masterlist for the reading order.
Tramp whimpered at your feet. The muffled sound of the Bronco's door closing sent you to the front window to look out onto the driveway. It was dark, but you could see Bradley's tear-streaked face lit up by the dome light as you choked on a sob. It took everything you had to stand there instead of running to him.
He was gripping the steering wheel of the blue Bronco, and you waited silently for the engine to start. But it didn't. He barely moved. And you barely moved. But you couldn't step away from the window even as the light inside the Bronco faded into the night. Everything was silent. Your pounding heartbeat was all you could hear as the baby squirmed around in your belly like she knew her father was too far away from her now. Minutes passed, and you sank down onto the couch, but Bradley never started the engine.
You wanted him to come back inside, but you just told him you wouldn't hesitate to take the kids and move back to Maryland with your parents. "What did you do?" you gasped as fresh tears filled your eyes. You couldn't tell if you were being strong or stupid or some combination of the two, but the longer you stared out the window, the more you realized Bradley wasn't leaving you even though you told him to.
Relief washed over you knowing he wasn't running off to Indigo. Maybe there was a way to salvage things. You couldn't take back what you said, and he couldn't take back anything he'd already done with her, but you didn't think you could stop loving him. You didn't think you could separate him from his daughters.
Your emotions were a mess as you eventually left the couch to get ready for bed. After you checked on Rose, finding her sound asleep in her crib without a care in the world, you peeked outside one more time. Bradley was still in the driveway, watching over the Craftsman and everything inside.
You took your broken heart to bed, trying your best to fall asleep through your tears.
-------------------------------
It was cold outside this late in October, but Bradley sucked it up. He was certain you knew he was still sitting in the driveway, and he didn't want to start the engine at three in the morning and startle you. Or make you think he was leaving. He wasn't going anywhere. So he let the cold surround him.
Maybe you didn't want him in the house with you and Rose at the moment, but it was his responsibility to protect his family. And he wanted to be as close as you'd let him. Between small spurts of sleep, his mind drifted to the idea of you and Rose packing up everything in the house and moving across the country to live with your parents. It left him on the verge of panic each time. He bought the house for you. He had a family because of you. He was living beyond his wildest dreams married to you.
There was no way to convince you he wasn't lying. There was nothing he could say at this point that wouldn't sound like he was trying to cover his own ass. You could talk to Mav or Nat or Jake until they were blue in the face, but if you didn't trust him, it would sound like everyone was covering for him. Because truthfully, only he and Lieutenant Jeffries knew for sure that Bradley had never touched her.
Everything with the Navy took time. Mav was a big help, but a report would need to be written up for formal action. And now Bradley would need to notify someone about the new message Indigo sent with the world's worst timing, but meanwhile he was supposed to carry on like everything was completely normal.
As soon as daylight broke, he rubbed his exhaustion away from his eyes. He wanted to get to base to shower and change into the clean flight suit he kept in his locker, but he had to make sure you knew he spent the whole night in the Bronco first. So Bradley waited until he saw movement inside. Just a quick flick of the living room curtain, but he was sure you saw him. Nevertheless, he sent a text.
I'm leaving for work. If you want to talk, come find me, and I'll clear my schedule. We'll figure this out. We have to, because I can't live without you. I love you.
He didn't expect you to respond right away. He stretched, his body positively aching from sitting in one spot for so long before he started the engine. His stomach growled as he drove, reminding him he didn't get to enjoy what you cooked for dinner last night. He'd been missing dinner too often. It was almost Halloween, and the two of you should have been planning a costume for Rose to wear. He should have been working on an anniversary getaway for November. He'd been fucking up a lot for someone who wasn't aware he was doing it, but he certainly wasn't an adulterer.
The locker room was empty as he changed out of his wrinkly uniform and slipped under the hot shower stream. Nothing was going to make him feel better if you didn't trust him. Once again, he thought about you throwing all your fancy kitchen gadgets in a box and leaving without a backward glance in his direction. Bradley's hands shook, and he didn't know how he'd make it through the day at this rate.
As he pulled on his flight suit, he thought about going up to your office to wait for you to arrive. But he'd end up on his knees again, begging you to stay with him, and that wasn't what you needed to hear right now. He was exhausted, but he tried to clear his mind and think of some way to convince you he would never do anything to hurt you. But if Indigo already made comments directly to you, it felt like all hope was lost.
The walk to his office was long, but not long enough for inspiration to strike. Maybe Nat could give him some advice. She'd been harping on about girl code the other day. As much as he hated to admit it, Jake might be a helpful ally right now. He was a big fan of yours, and always quick to remind Bradley he'd married way out of his league.
He settled in behind his desk, unable to look away from the wedding photo for a few minutes. You looked perfect that day. You were perfect every day. There was no doubt you'd be perfect without him, but he didn't want you going anywhere unless you took him, too.
"Fuck," Bradley gasped, lungs burning with the effort to hold back his tears. His students would be sitting down to take a practicum exam shortly. He didn't necessarily need to be there, but it would look good if he was. But he'd also have to face Indigo in the classroom. Maverick was still up in Lemoore, and he was the only one who knew Bradley filed a formal complaint.
This was all exhausting. Nausea and fatigue waged war in his body as Bradley stumbled to his feet once again. He needed something to drink. Some cold water. He threw his office door open wide and walked back up the hallway to the small lounge where he grabbed a water bottle and downed it in one go. Panting, he took a second one before slowly heading back the way he came.
He didn't even feel better as he started sweating profusely. He wanted you. He wanted you to let him hold you. He wanted to kiss Rose.
His office door was just a few feet away when he heard her voice.
"Lieutenant Commander Bradshaw."
The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end, fingers wrapping around the bottle so aggressively, he was afraid it would explode in his hand. He'd been told to keep his distance for now, but clearly Indigo was none the wiser as she followed him right inside his office.
"Sir," she said, voice bold and unbothered. "I thought we could walk to the classroom together."
Bradley spun and looked at her. He really shouldn't be surprised at this point. He also shouldn't be talking to her alone in his office, but she was standing there expectantly, blinking those eyes up at him.
"Unless you're not ready to head over yet...."
Her words trailed off as she casually reached for the door, fingers grazing the wood.
"Do not close that door," Bradley barked, surprising himself with his angry tone. Indigo's hand dropped to her side, eyes wide, but she took a step closer as he backed up until he hit his desk. He managed to set the water bottle down, chest rising and falling rapidly. He shouldn't be talking to her, but he couldn't help himself as he shook his head. "What is your problem?"
She cocked her head slightly, a hesitant smile on her lips. "Sir?"
Bradley skirted along past his desk as she tracked him. "I don't understand why you're trying to ruin my life," he hissed.
Indigo froze before bursting into delighted laughter that set his teeth on edge. "Ruin your life? I can assure you, Sir, I would like nothing more than to have a very good time with you."
Any warmth remaining in Bradley's body vanished, leaving him sweaty and shivering. "That's not appropriate," he gasped. "You're reporting to me through Top Gun, and I'm married."
She rolled her eyes and muttered, "This was a lot easier last time."
"You've done this before?" Bradley asked, eyes darting to the door and empty hallway beyond, wishing he'd just gone to your office instead.
"I like older men," Indigo replied sweetly. "Ones with lots of pins on their uniforms. And they've always been agreeable before."
"Unbelievable," Bradley groaned, ready to throw away all of his insignia pins and run away. "Lieutenant Jeffries, I have never laid a finger on you. We've never been alone in here with the door closed, ever."
"But you wanted to. You can admit it," she whispered, reaching once more for the door.
"Are you out of your mind?" Bradley's voice shook, but it was loud enough that she froze again. "You think I would jeopardize my marriage for you? My family? The thought never crossed my mind!"
Indigo licked her lips. "I've seen your wife. She's pregnant again. And she's -"
"She's perfect," Bradley barked, eyes blazing as he glanced at the wedding photo. "Do not talk about her. Ever." He squeezed his eyes closed and squared his shoulders before glaring at Indigo. "Get the fuck out of my office."
He was afraid she wasn't going to listen, the way she stood there and stared at him in surprise. But Bradley had nothing left. His fingers were shaking, and he was sure he was going to vomit. She finally turned and marched from the room with her chin in the air, and Bradley turned to face his desk.
Panic like he never felt before filled his veins. He had no idea what he was supposed to do now as he gripped the edge of his desk and stared down at his boots. His body shook with silent sobs as he tried to catch his breath, but his brain couldn't seem to get past the fact that his life was in absolute ruins.
"Oh, God," he gasped, lifting his head in time to see his office door move a few inches. Before he could fully register what was happening, you popped out from behind it and carefully pushed it closed.
"Sweetheart?" he croaked, examining your tear-streaked cheeks before you stumbled closer to him.
Why were you in his office? You were crying, working your hands in front of your pregnant belly as you whispered, "I'm sorry, Bradley!"
When he held his arms open, you rushed into them, burying your face in his chest as you wailed. He had no idea why you were in his office, but if the end result was getting to hold you tight, he didn't need a reason. As soon as you touched him, he immediately felt better.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry," you sobbed over and over, body shaking against him. "I was so scared, and I look so awful right now. And I'm just so sorry!"
"Shhh," he coaxed softly, kissing the top of your head before letting his chin rest there. "It's okay."
"No. It's not okay," came your immediate, muffled response, arms tightening around him. "I made you sleep outside. I told you I'd leave with the girls." You looked up at him, tears brimming from your eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't believe you."
Bradley shook his head, bringing his hand up to rest on your cheek. "I'm sorry I put you through this shit. This is so fucked up."
He let you cry, wiping your tears with his thumb as they fell for the longest time. He already felt like he could figure out a way to fix everything as long as you still wanted him.
Bradley kissed your quivering lips as you started to calm down. "Please never leave me. I'm not going to stop being in love with you. Okay? I just want my girls." With one more kiss, he whispered, "And there's nothing wrong with the way you look. You're perfect."
The smallest smile found your lips. "That's what you told Indigo."
"Baby Girl, that's what I tell everybody," he promised, relieved beyond belief that you witness that miserable exchange. "What are you doing here anyway?" he whispered, keeping you snug against him as you looked up at his face. "Not that I'm complaining, but I wasn't expecting you to want to see me."
"I came to talk to you as soon as I dropped Rose off." You wiped your tears on his flight suit as you added, "When I got here, the door was wide open, so I came inside. Then I heard her voice in the hallway. I panicked and hid behind the door."
"And I couldn't be happier that you did," he whispered.
"She really wanted to close the door."
"She really did."
"I hate her."
"Me, too," he sighed, exhausted from thinking about Indigo. He let his breathing match yours, falling into a comfortable rhythm that he didn't want to let go of yet. "I have an idea. Let's go home."
"Home?"
"Yeah. Let's go get Rose from the nursery and ditch the rest of the day. I just want to go home."
Now you were the one running your hand along his scarred cheek. "You must be exhausted." When he nodded, you said, "Okay. Let's go home, and I'll take care of you."
When you tried to pull away, Bradley kept you close. "No. I'm going to take care of you. I clearly haven't been doing enough of that since I started this position. So that's going to change immediately."
"We can take care of each other," you replied easily, but you were smiling. "I just need to talk to Cat first."
Bradley groaned softly. He was already imagining the three of you at home. He would make lunch while you fed Rose, and then everyone could take a long nap. He just wanted everything to feel normal again.
"Why do you need Cat first?"
You laced your fingers with his and started to tug him toward the door. "To get the ball rolling on Indigo's spectacular downfall."
"What?" Bradley's eyebrows shot up. "I just inadvertently managed to clear my name, and you already formulated a plan?"
You waved your free hand in the air. "It's like half a plan at best, but it's coming together." You paused. "You know what? I'll just call Cat when we get home. I'm sure we can handle it from there. I really want to snuggle with you, and I'm starving."
Bradley made sure the door locked behind him. "I am in awe of you," he murmured, letting you lead him down the hallway.
"Nobody messes with my husband."
--------------------------------
You felt alive again for the first time in weeks. You were thriving. Bradley never let you out of his sight as he made lunch and burped Rose. He put her down in her crib, wrapped you in his arms, and led you toward the promise of an afternoon nap.
"Wait, Cat's calling me back," you whispered, watching his face fall as he tried to get you to the bedroom. "It'll just take a minute."
"I can barely keep my eyes open," he murmured, kissing your cheek before you backed away. "Just come in when you're done."
You watched him turn to the bedroom, pulling his undershirt over his head as he went. The temptation of his warm body wrapped around yours was almost too much to fight, but when you thought about Indigo, you wanted to punch a hole in the wall. Or her face.
"Hi."
"Where are you?" Cat asked. "I thought I saw you in the parking lot this morning, and now you're magically nowhere to be found."
"I'm at home," you told her quickly. "Hey, how close are you to finishing the new code for the Super Hornet updates?"
There was a beat of silence. "Not that close. We aren't rolling out the updates until the end of the year. It'll ground some of the pilots."
You smiled to yourself. "I want to start doing it sooner."
"Sooner?" she asked, confused. "How much sooner?"
"Tomorrow."

Hearing that straight from Indigo had to make BG feel so much better! Is this me being nicer? Beginning to mend things? Stay tuned.

OH MY GOD this is such a big gripe for me!! I love my baba lots, but he has this idea that
1. Animation = boring and for kids
2. Animation = it is all the same
And I'm like!! No!! I even pooled anime into it just to get my point across, comparing the storyarc of Death Note and I think Prince of Egypt. Bc there is no comparison!!! They're two wholly different movies!!
And I agree, some animation does look more 'childish' (read: more rounded out 3d animation, like rise of the guardians) and some movies are better at finding that balance between 'adult jokes and themes vs child jokes and themes'. Emperor's new groove is a film that I think is very good at it. Personally, I think frozen less so. So guess what! I'm not rewatching frozen! It wasn’t my jam! But not because of the animation. Frozen has beautiful animation! Those don't go hand in hand!
Guess what, some of my favourite movies are from 1969 and 1993. On modern tellies, they are grainy blurry films. This doesn't stop my love for them!
I tried arguing this with him again when he was watching Love Death Robots on Netflix, an adult animation series in which every episode is its own shortfilm, and they're all animated differently.
I said 'okay what abt LDR then. You like watching that. That's also animation!' To which he replied 'no but LDR is different'
Maaaan. The difference is ofcourse that LDR is not a family film. There is nothing about that animation that's meant for kids. Well guess what, neither are Death Note and Naoki Urasawas monster! Those are animations, and they are big and scary!
Plus, I do also think that automatically assuming animation is only for kids, because it is animation is just plain wrong.
I tried using Big Hero 6 as an example. 'It's a film about a guy who loses is brother in a horrible fire. It follows his story of falling into a depression because of it, and slowly crawling back out when he goes on a journey to find the cause of his brothers death, and avenge him'
Does that sound like 'kids only' to you???
He then shrugged and said 'animation just isn't my thing'. Which, I do think, to an extend, is fair. Sure, you prefer irl people films. I can’t really say anything because I personally am not a big fan of live action films.
But there is one difference that gripes me:
Animation always looks different. Look me in the eye and tell me that Atlantis and tangled are the same style. I dare you.
Ofcourse there is stylistic overlap (Atlantis, Treasure island, prince of Egypt - Moana, frozen, tangled) but the messaging and themes of each film is different. Treasure island is a darker film, with pirates and tech and futuristic objects. Prince of egypt is oranges and reds, nature and architecture and a vast expanse of nothingess. To me that's like saying 'Oh I didn't watch Into the Wild, because it has real people in it. I watched the Matrix, and that had real people, and that wasn’t really my thing.'
It's not an argument I will win with him soon, mostly because he is so strongly convinced that kids movies ≠ family movies (if it's for kids, I can't enjoy it! Even if they deal with heavy topics like bad familial bonds, mourning and depression, having your dreams crushed, losing all hope, and so on) and that animation = animation, even though there are strong stylistic differences in it.
Maybe next time I should tell him that news media and social media are the same thing and that I don't go into newsmedia bc I get all my info from social media instead. Watch him get an anheurism right there in front of me.
animation being treated like a genre instead of a medium is something that actually makes me go insane. beauty and the beast is a romance. the emperor's new groove is a buddy comedy. big hero 6 is a superhero movie. moana is an adventure film. the lion king is a drama. treasure planet is sci-fi. if i was talking to someone who hadn't seen these movies before, and they weren't specifically interested in animation as a medium, then i wouldn't necessarily assume they'd enjoy all of these. and that's just disney movies! try telling an anime fan that fruits basket and fullmetal alchemist are the same genre and see how they react!
#pls don't come for me I DO NOT go to social media for my news#but he is a newspaper guy so these are words he'll understand

Hybrid 141 As Parents - Foster Human Child!Reader (Part 13)
Goddammit, you never felt this small before. Sure, all hybrids are twice or thrice your size, but why do you feel this way only now that you were standing in front of Johnny's kneeled down form?
He was kneeling down. Kneeling down. And was still bigger than you standing up.
He was large too. All of them were, really. Men as buff as them naturally had large bodies—it was impossible not to notice that their arms were as thick as your torso.
So....
How exactly were you supposed to fight with him?
It's a play fight, just a play fight, but still, you didn't know what to do. This was insane, how could someone like you fight with a werewolf his size...? And he wanted you to "mess him up"??
You should've suggest playing UNO instead, this is torture.
"Mhm.... I-I... dunno what to do...?" You mumble, uncertain. Your eyes flick to his form—the way excitement buzzes through him, his tail wagging fast behind him, ears pressed flat against his head. His toothy smile never wavering.
Big canines too, bigger than Ghost's.
"It's easy, lassie." He cooed, voice more controlled and calmer than what his body language was showing. "Come on, ya trust papa, right? Papa will never hurt ye."
"I don't know how to fight...." You insist, frowning a little in worry, still shuffling quietly in front of him.
“Don’ have tae. Wha’ does a wee pup ken?” He snickers, rolling his eyes as his accent gets stronger out of nowhere. “Ah just like ma kids messin’ me up! Ye can bite, scratch, or anythin’ else, really. Ah can take anythin’, ye wee runt!”
You hesitate, still looking over his form in worry and confusion. You didn't even move from your position, just holding onto your hoodie as you rubbed your socked feet with each other.
Johnny’s excited, competitive demeanor softened a bit as he sized you up, his tail wagging less and his ears perking up again.
“C’mere, puppy, c’mere… pstpst, it’s alrigh’…” He cooed gently, beckoning you closer with a small hand gesture. “Come tae papa, he’ll teach ye everythin’, aye?”
You blushed in embarrassment at his attitude, letting out a quiet sigh as you approached, still clutching the sleeves of your hoodie.
He immediately flashed you a big, toothy grin—sincere, yet still intimidating. His dangerous demeanor remained as scary as ever. Honestly? He looked kinda insane.
And then—
Big hands grabbed you, making you gasp in surprise as he took you down onto the mat. Technically, he just kinda grabbed you and eased you onto your back, but still—you weren’t expecting it! It was fast.
“Down ye go.” He smiled in a terrifying mix of gentleness and smugness. “Now what, wee bonnie baby?” His tone was pure challenge.
You stared up at him with wide eyes, frozen for a few seconds. His big palm rested gently on your chest, fingers spread just enough to frame your neck as he held both your shoulders down with one hand, caging you in. His feral eyes and sharp grin never wavered as he loomed over you, kneeling like a true predator.
You breathed in shakily at the thought, both small hands coming up to grasp his wrist, trying to gently push his hand away. Your legs curling up close to your chest.
“Don’ let him pin ya down.”
Ghost’s voice immediately caught your attention, making you turn your head on the mat to glance at him sideways on the edge of the mat. He stood with his arms crossed and a serious expression on his face, watching closely.
“Aye, runt, why’re ye lettin’ me pin ye down?” Soap teased again, one of his fingers gently rubbing your cheek from where he held you against the mat.
You bit your lip at the provocation, anxiety creeping back in. You pushed with a bit more force, trying to make his hand move, but weakened your grip when he laughed mockingly, leaning his head down dangerously close to yours.
“Look at this… nae claws at all, such cute wee fingers… trimmed nails and all, eh, wee baby? Price was talkin’ ‘bout ye humans… how we’ve gotta keep ye groomed right—short nails on hands an’ feet, brushed wee teeth, and trimmed hair… are all humans frail wee thingies like ye, runt?” He snickered, a broad, teasing smile stretched across his face.
"Big talk for a dirty mutt." Ghost joined in, voice low and raspy as he steaped on the mat, feet covered in black socks.
You immediately tensed up in worry at his tone, eyes widening as your body locked up. It sounded harsh, and for a moment, you genuinely feared they might start arguing right then and there.
But...
Johnny just laughed it off, his smile still wide, his hand still pressing you down against the mat as he kept an eye on Simon entering the mat from his peripheral vision.
“Are ye gonna get in the way, Si?” Soap asked menacingly, tilting his head slightly, baring his teeth at the other man.
“No. I don’t plan on fightin’ ya. I’m here for the kid.” he answered simply, dropping heavily to his knees by your side. "Come on, fledgling. His fingers are wide spread, tuck your hands under them."
You blinked up at him, stunned for a few seconds, before quickly glancing back at Johnny’s hand. Letting go of his wrist, you forced your hands under his fingers, slowly but surely lifting it off your shoulders and chest.
Sure, Johnny wasn’t putting much strength behind it, and he was still cooing at you the whole time, but you managed to take his hand off of you, only for Simon to roughly shove Johnny down onto the mat.
“Hey!” Soap laughed, falling onto his back, his elbows holding his body up.
"Go, up, come on." Simon nudged you, pushing your sitted form in Johnny's direction gently.
You got to your feet, slightly unsteady, feeling the gentle push of his hand that made you tumble on top of Soap, who was just staring at you with a smile.
“Hurt him. Go for his neck.” Ghost instructed, arms crossed as he watched you both.
“Wi’ these wee hands?” Soap cooed mockingly, his hand coming up to gently grab yours and rub with his thumb.
Ghost sighed quietly at your lack of reaction, watching you sit on top of Soap’s waist, your hand held in his, looking uncertain. Truly, zero instincts with this one.
“Gaz was right… it really does feel like when we had only newborns.” Soap laughed quietly, messing slightly with your hand, moving it around. “Ah used tae put them on ma chest for tummy time, too.”
You frowned slightly in confusion at that, head tilting slightly to the side.
"What's that...?"
“Oh, it’s—Ah mean…”
Even though Johnny was still smiling, he frowned a bit too, apparently caught off guard by your question. Or at least, that’s what it looked like. For a moment, it even seemed like pity crossed his face too.
“It’s when ye put babies on a soft surface, belly to the ground, and leave ‘em there. Helps ‘em strengthen their bodies so they can start crawling later on,” Ghost explained calmly, pushing you up slightly higher against Soap. “Now, come on, try to hurt him. He can take it.”
You still hesitated at that, unsure about actually trying to hurt one of your foster parents. Still, you sighed quietly before grabbing the hand that was holding yours and pushing against Johnny's face, hearing him laugh.
"Yeah, that's not going to do much." Ghost commented dryly.
Before you could say anything else, you let out a small, surprised yelp as Soap suddenly switched places with you, grabbing your small body effortlessly and getting on top of you once again, big grin still plastered on his stupid smiling face.
This time, at least, you managed to place your feet against his chest, pushing him slightly away from your body.
"Ya ken, Price's always liked a rough fight," Soap chuckled, a smug smile on his face as his big hand wrapped around your calf. "Me too, o' course, but he's even more violent than me, if ye believe it. Big bastard roughed up everyone as a soldier, an' let all the kids rough him up right back as a parent. He loves it."
"To be fair, most of us do." Ghost nodded from his place on the mat.
"But how does a wee thing like ye plan to do it if ye dinnae even try?"
At that, your leg was quickly pulled back, your body dragged across the mat as you let out a small shriek, only to immediately laugh right after when Soap stopped pulling you by the leg.
Actually, you were so busy giggling in a mix of surprise and excitement that you didn’t notice Johnny and Simon looking at you with surprise and contentment. It took them a bit, but they finally managed to make you actually laugh.
And what a cute laugh you had.
"Guys, come on up, Price still wants to check if her cold's gone away and watch a movie!" Kyle called out from the stairs, smiling gently at the scene.
"Heard that, lass? Hope ye like cartoons, ‘cause we love ‘em!" Johnny smiled excitedly, helping you up onto your little feet.
"I actually developed a liking for them after bein' forced to watch thousands of different ones as our kids grew up," Ghost commented, tilting his head slightly to the side. "Coco's very nice. Would ya like to see it, kid?"
"I'm... not sure...." You mumble, not recognizing the name.
"Yer gonna love it, lassie! Ah guarantee!"

⟡ ₊ . ༄.° postcards under the bed
pairing: dean winchester x reader synopsis: how dean became a part of reader's little family. tags/warnings: fluff, fwb, reader has custody of her 5yo niece wc: 1k a/n; your girl was craving fluff!!!
dean winchester masterlist ♡
when you and dean first started going out, you knew that he was always traveling and never really stayed in one spot for too long, which was more than fine with you; you were too busy working and taking care of your niece for a proper relationship, anyway.
so, whenever the man came back to kansas and you managed to get a babysitter, the two of you would get tangled up in your bedsheets for a night. until things started changing.
what started as dean calling you up when he was back in town slowly turned into him texting you when he was gone, asking you how you were doing and telling you he couldn't wait to see you, coming over as soon as he was back in kansas.
what started as dean coming straight to your place and almost immediately taking you to bed slowly turned into pots and pans clanging in the kitchen as he cooked you dinner while you simply watched him with a glass of wine on your hand, the man telling you all about whatever monster him and his brother had been hunting while he made you his so-called specialty.
what started as dean leaving before you had even woken up slowly turned into waking up to his snores, spending lazy mornings tangled in each other's arms while the two of you talked about everything and nothing in hushed voices, exchanging small, nearly feather-light kisses.
he started bringing you postcards from all the places they'd travel to, the back of them filled with chicken scratches about what they were hunting, and although he always gave them to you in person, he made sure to write your name on the lines meant for your address with what was dean's attempt at cursive, the shoe box under your bed soon filled with postcards from different places.
neither of you called it what it was; when sam queried dean about where he'd disappear off to the moment they got back from their cases he'd mumble something about 'going to see someone', and when your friends wondered who was the guy picking you up from your girls' night in the black impala you'd just shrug and grin before making your way outside, straight into the arms of the man leaning against the car.
"i'm gonna have to cancel tonight." you said into your phone, using your shoulder to hold it up to your ear as you used your hands to decorate a bunch of cupcakes.
"what? aw, come on." dean's voice rang out, "i got popcorn and sour patch kids, and you finally agreed to watch terminator with me. are you bailing on me because of that? because if you really want to, we can watch one of your chick-flicks. again."
you let out a small laugh and rolled your eyes, a small smile now lingering on your lips, "it's not that. my sitter has a fever and had to cancel. so instead of our planned explicit date night i'm gonna be playing board games with aurora."
"ah, damn." dean sighed on the other line, "i really wanted to see you, sammy and i are probably gonna be back on the road tomorrow, we found some vamps up in duluth."
"i'm sorry." you say with your lips turned down in a slight frown, "let's take a raincheck, 'kay? i should go get rory, i finished decorating our cupcakes."
"oh? what cupcakes did you make?"
"red velvet. they're her favorite."
dean let out a small chuckle before humming, "hey, i was thinking... if it's not a girls-only night... maybe i could join you."
"really?" you raised your brows, "you wanna spend the evening playing monopoly with me and my niece rather than, i don't know, go to some bar and spend the evening with some hot chick?"
"i mean, you do have cupcakes. and board games are no fun with just two people."
you hummed, your lips pursed as you thought about his suggestion for a moment, before swallowing, "yeah. you can join."
after that evening, it seemed like things changed all over again.
dean no longer texted to ask you how you were, or to tell you how much he wanted to see you. he no longer cooked for you while you got to relax. you no longer woke up next to him. you didn't receive postcards addressed to you.
instead, he'd call you, checking in on you and aurora, saying how much he couldn't wait to see both of you again. he cooked for you while you were busy coloring with your niece. by the time you woke up, led zeppelin was blasting in the kitchen and the entire house smelled of pancakes, and when you got up, you'd see aurora dancing clumsily while dean was making pancakes. and the postcards were no longer addressed to you, but to you and aurora, and instead of ending up hidden under your bed, they were displayed on the fridge, until you no longer had enough magnets.
you were laid on dean's chest, your fingers drawing slight patterns on his skin, until his own hand came to stop you, bringing your hand to his warm lips, pressing a kiss on it.
"what are you thinking about?" he asked against your skin, and you looked up at him, wondering if you should tell dean what you were really thinking about or just brush him off. but the look in his eyes was reassuring, almost pleading you to tell him what was on your mind.
you took a deep breath before locking eyes with him, chewing on your lower lip, slightly anxious about what he was going to think.
"i don't think i can live without you."
dean's eyes widened slightly in surprise, before he let out a soft chuckle, the feeling of his breath on your hand causing shivers to run down your spine. he let go of your hand and moved his hand to your cheek, and you almost automatically brought your face closer to his.
"that's good, sweetheart, because i don't think i can live without you, either."

1. There are only three TV shows that I care about at all anymore: The Chosen, When Calls the Heart, and Heartland. They really don't overlap much, so I don't really have a backlog of TV that I need to watch. When these three shows are completed, I am very unlikely to pick up any new shows at all, I have pretty much lost all interest in TV other than these three shows.
2. I don't have a favorite pair.
3. Yes, of all different sorts. When I make my own, I always add spinach or kale because if you blend it properly you can't even taste it and it just packs the smoothie full of vitamins and nutrients.
4. My order of preference would be dress pants first and foremost, a skirt is tolerable, and I try to avoid dresses like the plague. If I have to though I will. I literally own one dress and one skirt.
5. In an omelette with cheese, different types of breakfast meats, and different combinations of vegetables depending upon my mood. For just plain eggs though, I prefer them scrambled with a bunch of pepper.
6. Whatever is handy: a bookmark, a receipt, a random piece of junk mail, anything really. I don't dog ear the pages though.
7. I've got a fairly decent mixture. I prefer black, blue, red, and white, but as far as I know the only color missing is pink and it's going to stay that way lol.
8. No. I used to, I used to collect all kinds of things. But I've moved around enough times in my life to know that holding onto stuff is not something that I am suited for. I'm not a true minimalist, but I don't like collecting a bunch of stuff either.
9. A cat purring, running water, birds, a music box, the perfume my grandmother used to wear, vanilla, coconut, the perfume that I wear most often
10. No opinion
11. I wear sunglasses outside and in brightly lit rooms/buildings.
12. I've got two best friends, and I love their enthusiasm. Both of them, when they get on a topic that they love or get an idea that they're excited about, they're like little kids. 😊 @titaniumpeony @pinestripe37 ❤️
13. If I have to write by hand, pen, but I much prefer to type.
14. Really only at my church, my current home, and the house that my grandmother used to live in which I will probably never visit again.
15. Not applicable
16. Also not applicable. I don't think I've owned a hoodie since around 2012. Not really my style. Not feminine enough.
17. Food on DoorDash lol. As to which restaurant, I honestly can't remember.
18. Lots of biblical things, particularly the good ones surrounding Jesus.
19. Not applicable
20. I'm good at the basics, I'm good at algebra, I'm good at geometry, and I'm good at trigonometry. I have never done calculus and so I have no idea what my skill set is there, and the only math I ever struggled with was statistics but I still managed to get an a. Barely.
21. Definitely not applicable lol.
22. Usually iced unless it is very very cold outside.
23. Anything that comes up that I know the lyrics to and enjoy.
24. Of course I am! I am seriously the best driver that anyone would ever meet. 😊 For anyone reading this that doesn't know, I'm partially blind and legally am unable to drive ever.
25. Just the average pierced ears, and I don't want any other piercings and definitely no tattoos.
26. Both! I've got a lot of different stuff that I think is good and a lot of people compliment me on. Probably my spaghetti sauce would be one of the top things. I can make pretty much anything though and have fun tweaking and playing around with a lot of ingredients and recipes.
27. Just one. And honestly I can't even think of what it is lol. I know it has to do with the state of Arizona and it's some kind of picture but that's all I can remember. 😊
28. I would consider myself an intermediate swimmer. I know more than just the basics, I know a few different strokes, I took lessons for either six or seven years quite a while ago. However I'm not exceptionally fit and so speed would definitely be my downfall and I don't know anything advanced.
29. I had a very basic set when I was very little, and when I was maybe 12 or 13 one of my friends had a bit of a more complex set but it didn't really have a theme.
30. Yes, from left to right: tank tops, short sleeve shirts, three-quarter sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweaters that act as shirts, pants, my skirt, jackets/sweaters. My dress is in a different closet as are my extra pairs of shoes.
31. I have absolutely no idea. Probably one of the songs that @pinestripe37 sent me about Psalm 23.
32. I wouldn't.
33. Earbuds
34. Of course.
35. It's a black and white cat that @pinestripe37 gave me for my last birthday.
36. I'm not really good at many of them because they generally contain a lot of visual aspects, but I do have fun playing at arcades. Haven't done that in years and now I kind of want to lol.
37. I prefer it. It gives me someone to talk to and if they want to help out they can and if not that's OK too.
38. I don't have any secret TV shows or musicians that I like that I'm too embarrassed to tell people about. I mean really, I don't care. My music taste very eclectic, I still like the Backstreet Boys and a few songs from the Spice Girls and I really don't mind admitting that at all lol. If people are going to judge me based on that I probably don't want them in my life anyway.
39. Receiving a bunch of very useful information from God. But a lot of good stuff happened today, I mean tons of it! 😊 it was one of the best days I've had in a long time. 😊
40. Probably a Christmas tree of some sort or a palm tree
41. Usually either vanilla or coconut
42. Not applicable
43. This is a super weird question. For me most of the time I shower with the lights off but that's because light from the windows gives me enough light in my bathroom to see by. It wouldn't for people with normal vision, so this question has me wondering why anybody would shower in the dark. I probably don't want to know the answer to that.
44. I usually give it to people, friends, street people, I may put it in a tip jar or just anything of that sort, I don't like holding onto spare change at all.
45. definitely not lol
46. I can't think of anything specifically, but probably a book or a song.
47. Only if I'm with someone. Going on a walk by myself is boring.
48. No.
49. I like to go out and stand in the rain. I don't care if it's sprinkling or pouring. Yeah, I'm that crazy person lol. Smile 😊
50. a comfortable bed for sure, a pillow that provides lots of head and neck support, the room is not too hot or too cold but the perfect temperature, and I can sleep the whole night through without waking up.

WC : 1k
masterlist.
“JJ!” You exclaim, skipping through the Chateau, looking for your boyfriend. The air is sticky, filled with the smell of wood, salt, and beer.
You make your way through the living room and spot your boyfriend in the back, lying on one of the hammocks.
He covers his face with his arm, slowly bujając się.
“Jay, you have to hear this!”
JJ sits up the second he hears your voice, his eyes almost shut. “Hi, baby.”
He extends his arms, and you quickly hug him, leaving a peck on his lips.
“Okay, so you better hold on to this hammock, because—”
“Woah, woah. Wait,” he says, rubbing his eyes and ruszając się, trying to give you some space. “What’s going on?”
You grit your teeth while sitting on the edge of the worn-out material, not being able to keep this to yourself any longer. “Ugh, remember when I told you my mom asked me to go help the Jones? They just moved back here but without Ben.”
JJ furrows his brows, “Ben? The father…?”
You nod, “Yes! Well, their daughter is our age, and, by the way, she’s super sweet! Maybe I should invite her over here—”
“You’re drifting off the topic, baby.” JJ reminds you, now fully awake and interested in your story.
“Yeah, right. When I got there, she seemed kinda sad and annoyed, so as the good person that I am, I asked her what was wrong, and she spilled the whole tea! Everything!” You ramble, animating with your arms, and JJ watches your every move with a slight smile, clearly amused.
“She said her father cheated on Ms. Jones with a girl who’s barely 20! Do you understand that?!”
JJ giggles under his breath, lying back down. “Yeah. That’s so fucking messed up…”
“Right?” you say before you take a deep breath, “She mentioned that that side chick used to live here and that we might know her, but i have no idea who could that be.”
“Damn, you gossip like an old lady.” Your boyfriend says, pulling you to his chest. You gasp, dramatically placing your hand on your heart.
I will find out. I mean, who cheats on such a beautiful woman like Ms. Jones? Especially this… this Ben? He looks like he sneaked onto the Earth—”
“Woah, woah, chill!”
You sit on the couch in your living room, sipping the juice from the recipe you just tried out and trying to get through a book when you get a notification.
With a sigh, you reach for your phone to read the message you got from JJ. He’s supposed to pick up his hoodie, which he left there last week.
A few minutes later the comfortable silence gets broken with the loud ring of the bell.
JJ doesn’t even hesitate, he just comes in without a second thought. You take a look at his face and can immediately tell he’s not in the best mood. He immediately comes up to you.
“Hi,” you say as he leans in to kiss the top of your head. “What’s up?”
He grunts, “I had to go and fix the AC at the Jones house. They were talking so fucking loud my head feels like exploding—”
You let out a gasp, and your eyes glisten. “At the Jones? What were they talking about?”
JJ squints his eyes, “Uhh I don’t know? I stopped paying attention after some man joined in.”
You look at him, disappointment mixed with disbelief. “Are you serious?”
“Well, yeah, they were arguing so I just did my thing and left.”
You groan. “You are kidding me. JJ, you could’ve heard something about the drama!”
He widens his eyes, a sheepish smile crawling onto his lips. “Ohhh, right… I’m sorry, baby.”
Your lips form into a pout, and JJ raises his eyebrows. “Nuh-uh, don’t pout at me for this. I’m not a gossiper, you know that.”
“Well, I know, I know…”
“But I promise I’ll tell you anything I hear.”
You sigh and hug him, breathing in his scent. “You better.”
You don’t even know when did you drift off to sleep, sitting on the back porch at the Chateau. The soft breeze and whistles of wind put you to sleep like a lullaby.
The front doors close with a loud crack, announcing that JJ has returned from the shop. You and the Pogues were supposed to have dinner tonight, and your boyfriend had to go and buy all the missing ingredients.
“Baby, you won’t believe it!”
You slowly open your eyes, eyelids fluttering from the orange sunset sky. You hum, and JJ runs outside, the grocery bag still in his hand.
“Did you get everything?” You ask, stretching your arms with a yawn.
“Yeah, I think so, anyway…” He speaks so fast you have to gain your consciousness quickly in order to understand what he’s saying. “Guess who I met at the store!”
You squint, trying to come up with a name in your mind, still fogged up with sleep. “Rafe?”
JJ shakes his head and you click your tongue.
“Topper?”
“No!” he gets a bit frustrated, a sight that makes you laugh. “What was a thing you were super invested in?”
Your eyes widen. “The Jones?”
JJ’s grin grows even wider. “Yes! Oh my God, would you believe that the man I saw is actually Ms. Jones’ new boyfriend? And that’s not the best part. He’s Ben’s cousin who’s much more successful too! This man owns four different restaurants and has three houses in Asia, Europe, and South America. He’s crazy rich!”
You gasp. “Wow. You really clocked all of this, didn’t you?”
He looks at you, a proud look on his face. “Duh. It was so much fun!”
JJ starts to tell you the story about how he had to follow them in different isles to hear everything and in the meantime, you check the grocery bag.
“…Then they moved to the dairy fridges, so naturally I went after them and—”
“JJ.”
“Huh?”
“You forgot half of the products...”

there’s something so sickening about reading that trans people are getting their passport applications rejected to my friend asking me to go w her to get a tattoo to trump wanting to set up concentration camps at GITMO for detained migrants to my fave bar reopening to school lunches for kids being taken away to going to get an iced mocha to them wanting to drill in the arctic and take away protected lands to watching an episode of supernatural to watching the fcc attack npr and pbs to putting on mascara. day to day life doesn’t stop and if (when. WHEN) the tides turn against the fascist oligarchy attempting to not only control but overtake a vibrant diverse population of 330 million people things will not go back to “normal”. there is always work to be done, more progress to be made. but there’s my alarm to take my meds

Sentient Mystery Shack, who is really biased towards Stan, so when Ford tells Stan he has to give it back after the summer it’s on sight.
Ford keeps tripping over nothing, nothing is where it's supposed to be and somehow he keeps running into closets when he tries to go outside.
But the worst part, the WORST part is that Ford's lightbulb just won't. Work. No matter what he does it keeps flickering and exploding.
Ford is spiraling.
There is no reason why it shoudln’t work. All his trial runs work perfectly. He’s already checked the Shacks wiring three times and relearned this dimensions science from the ground up.
Nothing works.
The Rift? Bill? The impending apocalypse? Eating? Sleep? Who cares about that.
WHY. WONT. THE. LIGHTBULB. WORK???
It doesn’t help that Stan keeps laughing at him.
“Then you do it!” Ford eventually snaps at Stan.
Stan shrugs and with a little song under his breath screws his own lightbulb it. It works perfectly.
Stanford screams.
#gravity falls#stanley pines#stanford pines#the mystery shack#afterwards stan can be seen gently petting the kitchen door#the lightbulb shines a little brighter#that time in the show where soos mentioned how funny it would be if the exit door was actually a closet#thats a game the shack likes to play with soos#the kids are bored or need a new room? suddenly they find a mysterious new room in the shack#stan cant find his remote? the shack just really wanted to watch old timey movies with stan. it knows stan best. it knew stan would have fu#stans thr shacks blorbo after all#stan also turned the shack from a cold messy research facility into a fun home that gets lots of visitors#the shack loves the tourists and mr mystery#so many stories and different people to watch#stan also hasnt paid the electricity bill in years everything still works somehow#and if they hadnt defeated gideom when they did the shavk wouldve shown that little bastard why they used to call it the murder hut 😡#the thing is ford already checked if hes cursed or if something elsemis going on with the shack and he put gravity falls weirdness factor#into account but he cant find anything out of the ordinary#the shack is just going backt o normal.everytime he turns his scanners on to check#besides theres no way the shack would turn against ford -its his house he built it#so it definitely cant be that

I’m gonna derail just a little bit to tell a relevant story but do hear me out; I am 22 years old meaning I only graduated highschool like 3 years ago. I am also Canadian and attended highschool here. I DID go to primary school in America, and at least back then everybody stood for the pledge every single day. Obviously kids of that age aren’t as likely to have any sort of fully formed political opinions as older teenagers so I can’t speak for what it’s like in American highschools.
However the equivalent here in Canada, is that the national anthem plays over the loudspeakers every morning in every school, and we are all expected to stand. When I was in grade 9 I started disregarding this rule. Was this out of pure apathy rather than a particular political motivation? At first, sure, maybe. But only AT FIRST. Did it have consequences? Yes, to me, but eventually to others too. I was caught walking around during the anthem by our vice principal who already had several reasons to dislike me, and he demanded I stand still. He told me I would be pulled from class if I kept walking so I sat down on the ground in front of him while the rest of the song played. At this point it started to feel very political to me at the time, because I have a very strong general dislike for authority, I had been told I had oppositional defiance disorder. I was 14 years old and only just at the very beginning of forming my understanding radicalism/liberation. I would go to protests, why not have my own small form of protest. I didn’t yet know what I know now about canadian imperialism. I would sneer at him and tell him I wouldn’t participate for religious reasons (I am not religious lol.) I basically just knew that the same guy who would confiscate peoples weed and police the bathroom use of trans students was trying to tell me what to do as to police my bodily autonomy and movement, and I did not like that.
So, I started doing it every morning in every one of my classes, even having some of my own peers starting arguments with me about it; and then got sent to the office by an English teacher. This man was gay, liberal, and he basically told me “I know you’re trying to make a point or something, that’s cool, but, not in my classroom. If you’re gonna do that next class you can go do it in front of the office.” This was the same man who was teaching us standardized curriculum about Canadas history of indigenous genocide. This would’ve been in like, 2018.
In 2019 protests began spreading out west in British Columbia about indigenous land rights and the plan to destroy millions of huge, 100+ year old old growth trees in order to build the coastal gas link pipeline. Protesters were chaining themselves to trees until they got bulldozed and being mass arrested. The concept of protest by mass occupation became more prevalent in the media. Activist groups led by indigenous leaders and land defenders were stopping cross country freight and passenger trains by blocking the railroad. In 2020, the unmarked burial sites of thousands of murdered children, victims of the abuse within residential schools, were uncovered. Survivors started speaking up about the violence and trauma that the church and the state had inflicted on them and their family. Priests were getting sent to trial for abuse they had inflicted years and years ago.
Over the years since my freshman year I watched something… interesting happen. More students, sometimes just one or two people, small insular friend groups, but, sometimes the majority of a classroom, would also refuse to stand for the anthem. Some of them said it was because it was 9AM and they were just too tired for that shit (the anthem is a lot longer than the pledge of allegiance lol.) But this meant I no longer got shit for it because they can’t suspend almost a whole classroom of us, right?
I did a “victory lap”/fifth year there to finish up some more courses and by my last days there, no one and I mean literally fucking no one stood for the anthem anymore. It was only a few short years ago that I had been threatened with suspension over doing this, and yet at that point I could not imagine any faculty member having the gal to tell me that I simply had to stand up for the imperialist anthem knowing what we all know now. My apathy had evolved into ideology/ further understanding of what my own actions could mean. What started out of vague distain, a tendency towards disobedience, and a bit of laziness had become a small form of protest that later became the norm among the student community. It was no longer in the hands of the authority figures. And if seeing me continue to do that every day despite sometimes getting in trouble in the earlier years gave even a single one of my peers pause to stop and think about why we have to do this, why SHOULD we have to do this, why should we stand for “our home and native land” that we colonized and stole through violence and genocide, are we really “the land of the free and the home of the brave” if we hid so much of our history for so long, then, that’s not nothing, and it was worth every bit of trouble.
But here’s the even scarier part: my sister is two years younger than me and she attended the same highschool. At some point in her final year in 2023 when I was long gone I asked her what the deal was with that now, and she told me most of the students were standing for the anthem again, and that most of the people her age always had been and usually did. It was pretty much just my grade and older that had been rejecting this en masse.
There are so many studies out there indicating that the younger generation, current teens and young adults, are becoming more conservative at a faster rate. The propaganda machine doesn’t ever just stop because one group at one time and place resisted it. I grew up as someone who is has always been very outspoken and proudly transgender. So I certainly had PLENTY of adults telling me as a teenager, “your generation is going to save the world” and all that bullshit and trust me I fucking hated it. It’s absolutely infuriating and I totally sympathize with powerburials frustration. But I think regardless of whether OP is actually in fact an “embarrassingly aged millennial” (whatever that means lol) giving teenagers ideas, information, resources, big or small, of how to fight back against oppressive power is truly very very fucking important right now. Many of them want to and don’t even know why they want to and that’s okay because they will learn, but they won’t learn and many of them won’t have any place to start without the authority/adults in their life (even if that adult is simply a blog on Tumblr) pushing them in that direction. I didn’t have adults in my real life to materially do these things with me as a teen, I had other trans teens, and I had anger issues, and I had this fuckin website teaching me about communism, decolonization, mutual aid, and direct action.
My school was at the edge of a highway next to a bridge that was essential to connecting the two sides of the city. I would sneak out of class and go for cigarettes by myself and stare into the valley and feel so so angry at the government, at the world, at the medical system, and I would think about all the people who killed themself by jumping off that bridge and wonder what powers made their lives so hard for them, I would wonder if they were like me, and I would feel so, so alone. I would let the sound of the cars on the highway drown my thoughts out. A couple years after graduating I participated in a protest demanding policy reform for climate change and environmental protection that shut down this highway right in front of my high school for the entire day. I was relieved to even see a few of my former peers there, although not that many.
Today I am currently organizing a student strike at my college to demand their disclosure and divestment of funding of the genocide in Palestine. At our first walkout, the dismissal I received from so many of my peers primarily my age and younger was fucking brutal and extremely disheartening, but, we reached a lot of people. We gave people resources to learn about the issue at hand and we strengthened our movement. We will be going on strike in the next year. I have been tirelessly organizing with the help of so many volunteers from my community a fundraiser event tomorrow, which I anticipate will raise a good amount of money for Palestinians, a local food bank, and an organization that helps youth access gender affirming care. If you told that angry kid all those years ago that he would be doing these things today he very well might’ve laughed in your face, he probably would’ve thought it to be a ‘nebulous fantasy’ too.
What I would tell my 14 year old self (who I could even argue only started rejecting the anthem for attention) and what I would tell highschool aged kids everywhere who want to fight fascism and imperialism, is to start organizing locally sooner, trust that you WILL find your people and you will find strength in numbers. start online if you have to, but use these tools to connect with likeminded people in real life. Material direct action is much more important than the symbolism of rejecting participation in something you disagree with. It’s deluded to think that mutual aid and activist organizations in your community don’t exist whatsoever. But as this story hopefully sort of illustrates, symbolism is also important. Start small if you have to but don’t you dare stop there. A tree can’t grow without a seed, so plant that seed and water it. Even if you really do sometimes have to sit there sweating and embarrassed and alone. Because it is ALSO deluded to think the world doesn’t need teenagers to be doing stuff like this lest they become fascist adults as many of my own peers and so much of the younger generation unfortunately now have.
dear usamerican high schoolers looking for a way to resist fascism: sit through the pledge of allegiance.
no getting up. no looking at the flag.
everyone will be looking at you. you'll be sweating like a fucking hippopotamus. your teacher will sternly tell you to get up. you'll feel stupid and that maybe its not worth it because you're just a kid in a classroom. but I'm here to remind you that there are no real life consequences to detention. there are however real life consequences to resisting a thoughtless performance of nationalism.

Early Marriage Astro Obervations
Moon in the 7th house: these people tend to attract really harmonious relationships (is positively aspected). These individuals really value security in their relationships which is why they tend to develop very close knit long term partnerships. Because of their need for security and intimacy they tend to get married & start a family at a pretty young age. I also notice they can date someone who’s younger than them as well. They attract family oriented partners who have a very rich emotional life. Because of their emotionally intelligent natures they are able to be very supportive to their partners & they are able to commit a lot earlier than most.
Venus in Libra: these people attract spouses that ADORE THEM so easily! I am trying so jealous of how easy it is for these people to find good partners. Relationships are like breathing to these people & most tend to develop crushes earlier than most. Their partners are usually very attractive appearance wise & usually love the native dearly. These people love love and are always crushing on someone (they are usually crushing on you too wink wink) this causes them to be able to commit to serious relationships faster than most. In general these people are seen as wifey/hubby material to others. It’s hard for these natives to be single and usually jump from relationship to relationship. If negatively aspected however they can tend to stay in marriages/relationships longer than they should & can ignore red flags because they are in love so be careful that people don’t take advantage of your good heart. Because they can be very naive/ blinded by love and attraction easily. But regardless of negative or positive aspects they tend to attract long term relationships early (good or bad).
Venus in 7th house: these people have probably been planning their wedding since they were little kids. I’m not joking the people I met with this placement LOVE weddings & the idea of love so much. Since this position is in its home love tends to flow to them like water in a stream. Similar to Venus in libra, these people have a lot of suitors interested in them. They attract real charming well cultured/attractive partners who are usually pretty wealthy. They can be serial daters as well, they do not like the idea of being single even more than libra Venus’s imo. If they aren’t in a relationship they definitely have someone on the side or an ex they still mess with. They are very obsessed with romantic attention which is why so many people are into them. Since Venus is in its home in the 7th house early marriage usually occurs for these folks. They can however be a little too obsessed with the idea of love & can settle for people they aren’t truly in love with just to say they have someone. They can also get really jealous if they see their friends have a good partner & they’re single. It boosts their ego a lot to say they have a partner so make sure you aren’t in a relationship just to show off make sure it’s authentic!
Venus in cancer: the mothers of the zodiac. These people give off a very nurturing secure vibe which allows others to feel very safe with them. They know how to make others feel comfortable being themselves which is super attractive to the opposite (or the same) sex. Their genuine natures & their deep love for family are the reason they can get into early marriages. Their loyalty is never usually questioned because of how devoted they are when they find that special someone. The types to be housewives for sure. This placement gives like a Nara Smith vibe, they are usually AMAZING at cooking as well. They are also amazing parents & have amazing relationships with their children. Just such sweet souls, your devoted sweet nature however can attract partners that try to take advantage of you and take more than they give so watch out for those people yall are too good to be treated poorly. Probably one of the most loyal Venus placements imo.
Venus in the 1st/ Libra rising: kinda a no brainer but these people have very good luck in finding partners. They are usually super charming & FUNNY omg, people don’t give them credit for how good their humor is. They are just super easy to get along with in general which is why people flock to them ready to commit. They are normally super flirty & attractive when it comes to the opposite/same sex which can be seen as really attractive. They just ooze LOVE & others feel it so deeply which is why it’s easier for people to trust them. They tend to only have partners who are really attractive like I’m serious their partners usually look like they were sculpted by the gods (they are too as well). They attract partners who genuinely love them so deeply and will do anything for them which can create envy in others a lot because it’s just so easy for you. Make sure you don’t take advantage of your relationships/partners (cuz they tend to do that once the spark dies down).
Jupiter in 7th/house or Libra. Jupiter gives luck to the theme of whatever house/sign it’s in so in the 7th house/libra relationships & marriage are a big theme in your life & you are extremely lucky & blessed in those areas! They tend to attract well cultured partners who are usually super smart & good looking. They have a lot of luck finding partners when they travel as well or could have a partner of a different ethnicity/culture. Most of your personal & spiritual growth will come from the relationships you have during your life. Your spouse is usually very optimistic and can speak life into you during dark times. You can also gain more wealth once you are married. Just be careful with unrealistic expectations or excessive optimism about your relationships to avoid disappointment because you can be pretty impulsive when in love. Make sure you’re realistic about your relationships.
Taurus moon/taurus Venus: every Taurus moon/venus I’ve met in a relationship have usually been in them for yearsss. These people are super stable & tend to attract others who are also very stable & committed. Due to their emotional stable natures they can create very harmonious pleasant relationships early. These people KNOE their worth which is why they usually marry very high quality people. They are super realistic in matters of love not in a detached way but they for sure know what they want and what they are looking for. This deep insight is the reason they attract people that are really good for them. They can get out of toxic relationships a lot faster than most because of how high their self worth is. When other notice this quality they cannot help but busy their ass to be what they want because it’s super rare to find someone with such a high love for themselves. Once they love you they are giving you all their heart.. it’s usually not common for these people to open their hearts up to others which is why once they do just know they found the one. They give almost a kinda nanny vibe to them like you can tell just by looking at them they will be very good nurturing partners/parents. They tend to be more on the conventional side as well and enjoy things like housekeeping, cooking, sewing, decorating ect.. (for a woman however). Their natural feminine energy usually brings out the protection quality in men. Most people that date them feels like they found a hidden gem🥺 be careful however not to stay in relationships due to being comfortable. They have a tendency to stay in partnerships that are well overdue because of the familiarity they bring (Taurus is obsessed with stability & security so it’s harder for them to leave bad relationships once they are in them). But because of their high self worth they usually have the ability to dip if it gets too bad.
7th house stellium’s: also another no brainer. These people live & breathe love. These are the people that you’ve never seen single lol. Their whole mission in life is to learn thru love and relationships so it’s usually a big theme in their life’s. Unless Saturn or Uranus is involved they usually tend to marry very early and have very loving partners. They could’ve grew up in an environment where marriage was super big & could’ve been to a lot of weddings in their life. If Saturn or Uranus is involved it can indicate marrying a little later or to someone older than you. With Saturns influence it can still lead to a long term relationship but it can be more cold and distant than what the native would’ve preferred. Make sure you find love in yourself first before you commit so early to others. If these people don’t find self love first they can go from person to person trying to find that love which will end up draining you out fast. The more love you have for yourself the better your partners will treat you!
North node in the 7th house: similar to 7th house stellium natives, your whole life’s purpose is to find love! In a past life you could’ve been a big pioneer/individual and you learned to develop an authentic sense of self. You could’ve only focused on you before but now the universe is challenging you to change YOU to OTHER. You’re here to experience true love and find what they really means🥹 such a cute aspect imo. This gives good luck in finding partners. Make sure you don’t go back to selfish old habits when dating because you have a tendency to be very “me first”. In this lifetime you’re here to learn compromise. Your relationships are usually very karmic and you will learn yourself the deepest when involved with someone. This may be uncomfortable for you at first but it’s what your souls craves deep down inside. Since you know yourself so well (south node in 1st house) you will be able to speak life into your partners & allow them to be their authentic selves around you which creates such a loving space.

I keep remembering how obsessed I was with nature as a kid and then other kids thought I was a nerd for it and would throw trash at me to watch me in the neighborhood so i'd pick it up and lecture about the environment. literally how were there 5 year old anti environmentalists wtf. one time it got so bad this random old lady invited me in her house to get away from the kids and she gave me a snack. I always remember that because it was so kind.

first of all i love womens hockey, strong ladies slamming up on the glass, amazing.
i went to a pwhl game and a man with his like teenage daughter were next to me and THAT MFER LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE JOHN PRICE hat and blue eyes and beard and everything it was nuts. anyways john price is a hockey girl dad of a scary 13 year old who kept staring at me the whole game.
just needed people to knoww
(fuck that mans gorgeous irl)
also i love your writing. Thank u for sharing ur brain w the internet.
That makes me think like. Imagine being John’s neighbor. You haven’t spoken more than pleasantries to him, introduced yourself to him and his daughter, made small talk at block parties.
And one cold day after school, his daughter is sitting on the front steps shivering, because she forgot her house key. You don’t have a spare, and John won’t be home for hours— so you tell her to stay inside your place until then. You call John and leave a message to let him know.
She’s a little wary of you, which is good. It’s not like you’re a total stranger, but you’re also not necessarily trustworthy yet. She just parks herself on the couch and watches whatever you’d had on tv, a little awkward as she sips the cup of tea you’d made her so she could warm up.
She ends up getting kinda attached. You joke with her that you watch the show that’s on because of the hot guys in it, and she smiles. She’s at that age, but of course she doesn’t really want to talk about it with John. You remember being 13, and she likes talking to you. John comes by once he’s home, thanks you profusely and apologizes for having to take up so much of your day. You tell him it was no trouble at all, and that she’s welcome any time.
She ends up taking you up on your offer. Usually after school, when her dad is still at work. You just leave the door open. She asks you questions about boys, about makeup— things she’s a little curious about but her mother isn’t around to answer. You get invited to all of her hockey games, with John insisting you sit next to him (when he can make it, that is).
You do holiday baking with her. She invites you to her birthday dinner. You’re welcomed over to John’s for every Christmas and other holiday they can manage to throw together a little gathering for. You’re so focused on her that you completely miss how John stares at you every single time you’re with his daughter.
Such a natural with her— and he’s had such a hard time connecting with her now that she’s becoming a teen. They’ve always had hockey, but it’s hard for him to accept that she’s not a baby anymore (even thought she’ll always be his baby). She storms over to your place every time they fight, and he’s eternally grateful she has somewhere to go for comfort when he doesn’t understand her.
She’s over at yours so much that he thinks it might be easier if you just moved in. That it would be a big age gap, but his daughter might like to have a little sibling. That if anything ever happened to him he’d want you to have every right to look after her. If that’s what you wanted, anyways.
And he loves his girl more than anything in the world, but it hasn’t been easy. Between raising her and his work, he doesn’t hardly have any time for dating. Whenever he’s tried— his daughter had found a problem with whoever he’d brought home, and that had signaled the end. It was hard enough to find anyone interested in dating a single parent.
So when you’d moved in next door, he couldn’t help himself. You’re pretty, single. He can see you through his window almost any time he wants. You don’t close your curtains nearly as much as you should, either. He’s just a man, y’know?
So, yeah, he’s made himself cum thinking of you more times than he can count. And it only gets worse once he has those fleeting thoughts about you being a mother for his girl. Maybe a few more kids if he can manage to get a ring on your finger. Insane thought to have when he’s never even asked you out on a date.
