Did I eventually fill the list with a whole bunch of kids' books, More Comics (despite until then trying to add things by series instead of each individual book. in my defense I really like Yoko Tsuno that much) and Whatever We've Played In Highschool Drama Club? Sure did xD 100 books I actually enjoyed and still remember is pretty hard! My memory is shit and my tastes are specific! So yeah you can tell where I ran out of ideas when you see the pile of Yoko Tsuno comics I added even though I had already added my favs earlier...

He feels Regulus pressed against his back, his arm thrown over his waist, and he doesn’t want to wake him. Plus waking Regulus will wake Kingsley whose soft breathing is on the other side of the bed so James really can’t move.

The first thing Regulus is met with when walking into work is “Yeah” by Usher blasting from deep within the kitchen. It isn’t even eleven am. He’s going to kill James Potter.

The first time a weapon or sensor pings Danny, Jack and Maddie panic. Did they do the procedure wrong? Did their baby die anyway? But he's there, he's happy, he's toddling around and smiling and breathing - so he can't be dead. Ghosts don't act like that.

So they start running some more tests. On themselves, if it's invasive, on Danny if it's not. Ectoplasm clings. It's half life is almost forever.

This is great, because it means the treatment will continue to work forever, or at least for years.

This is less great, because now Danny looks and smells like a ghost, not just to their sensors, but to actual ghosts they encounter too.

Some of the ghosts are even nice about it.

A woman who cries at waterways for children who didn't leave ghosts helps Danny when he wanders too close to the edge and falls in. "Don't lose him," she says, passing the happy toddler into Maddie's arms. "You'll never get him back if you hurt him."

And she would know, wouldn't she? Jack first notes that La Llorona isn't nearly as violent as the stories say.

And then she sees Jazz, healthy and living and tries to drown her, because violent deaths more often leave ghosts and the weeping mother wants another child to keep.

Jack rescues Jazz. Maddie keeps Danny in her arms. La Llorona cries, lonely and abandoned, but she doesn't chase them.

She was a mother. She'll grant the Fentons their own children.

Jack notes that down too.

There are other ghosts; some who try to take Danny to the ghost zone by force only to baulk when they hear his heartbeat. Some play with him, and vanish when Maddie enters the room.

Most of them leave Jazz alone.

But even though ghosts and spirits see Danny as one of their own, his heart still beats. He's prone to grudges, and mood swings, but nothing worse than Jack remembers having.

The Baby Monitor fizzes out when Danny is fourteen months old, and Jack rushes in to find a ghost in a purple cape leaning over the crib, glowing softly.

"he's not ready to cross over," Jack says, with the caution he's learned the harness since Danny started attracting Otherworldly things.

"I know." The ghost turns, and there's a teenager under the hood, with teal skin and a vicious slash across its eye, the edges ragged like lightning, like a wound that was never treated. "But he will be one day. Time doesn't stop for Love."

It's ominous. The ghost doesn't take Danny when he leaves, but as soon as he's gone, Jack dashes across the room to check Danny's breathing. It's still even, regulated by the surgery that would get Danny taken out of the house if it was publicized.

Jack doesn't tell Maddie about the interaction. A weapon tries to use automatic aiming to shoot their baby, and that becomes a bigger problem.

A forest full of vengeful spirits is a miles long tag game with Danny around. Six year old Danny has the time of his life.

Someone in Amity Park starts abducting children. They know the kids are being murdered when they start showing up to play with Danny at the park, shying away from adults.

Jazz, eleven and bossy and concerned gets them to talk, and she tells her parents, who tell the sheriff. Kids stop disappearing. Their ghosts stop appearing.

The ghost with the cloak doesn't.

The Doctors Fenton don't trust ghosts. Why would they? But they can't write them off as entirely violent, as entirely nonsapient, not when they've seen them interact with Danny and each other.

The Doctors Fenton don't notice when their safety precautions slip, and they start to read as inhuman too.

They don't realize they can survive more than their neighbors.

Whether it's a boon from an ancient or a side effect of the tests they do on themselves before continuing Danny's treatments, they never think to look.

The button on the portal should only have enough electricity to sting.

Their threshhold is so far from human. No one else is supposed to be in the lab.

The portal turns on. The influx of energy, of other ghosts, of hostiles - it makes Danny act weird. He starts displaying overt ghostly powers.

Jack and Maddie pretend not to see. He seems embarrassed.

They're terrified that if they bring attention to it, if they admit it, then Danny will decide that he belongs with the ghosts.

The prophecy terrifies Jack.

They never bring it up. They leave out filtered ectoplasm, keep ensuring Danny's food is contaminated and Jazz's is clean.

They try to deal with the violent ghosts coming through the portal.

Phantom reminds Jack of the ghost with the cloak. He's a little too rough, even though he can see that Phantom is trying to help, and stumbling and chaotic as his efforts are.

The other ghosts respond to Phantom as though he's 14 years dead.

Why would the Fentons think that odd? Why would they think something happened?

The portal was on when they left, just not active. Clearly it needed time to warm up, like an old car left to idle until the engine could power everything else.

Why would they be suspicious of Danny, who's never around when Ghosts are (because ghosts are nice to him, and the city is scared of them, so of course he wants to avoid anyone figuring out that he's not quite normal), who sets off all of their weapons (because they made it so, because they weighed losing their son forever against having a son who wasn't entirely human and losing him wasn't an option), who speaks up when they get carried away and start calling all ghosts evil (because they're not, and he knows better, and they know better, and of course he doesn't want to hear his parents hate something that he could be counted as), who winces when they talk about ghost weapons (because he's ghostly enough that a misfire could seriously injure him).

Danny is Danny is Danny, even when Danny isn't quite human. They know that. They made that choice.

They don't notice that something else did, too.

Ooohhh guys au where Danny was really ill as a baby, and so the doctors Fenton did some Experimental Medical Procedures that involved ectoplasm

It worked.

He's always had an ectosignature. They're always brushing off him pinging the sensors because they know he will. Weapons in the house that are automatic are always set to lower power so if they lock onto Danny the damage isn't permanent or extreme. But if an intruding ghost gets hit, it'll keep them down long enough for someone wielding a higher power weapon to dispatch.

They've been trying to find a way to code weapons to ignore Danny's ectosignature but its really tricky to isolate, especially when Danny is young and they don't have a lot of ghosts to compare to.

He gets halfa'd in one go because of the portal, yes, but he's powerful from the getgo because his human half already knows how to use this energy

This also foreshadows Chance (Tigers 🐯) VS. Mike (Falcons 🦅).

Which makes total & undeniable sense according to their personalities, symbolism & even physical appearance.

Mike has been associated with falcons through that falcon painting he has that always shows up in every season.

Tigers 🐅 -> Power, ferocity, primal instincts, solitude, bravado, raw physical strength, brute force, physical size, beauty, aggressive, territorial, bold, instinct-driven -> Chance

Falcons 🦅 -> not as physically strong as tigers, but have Vision, speed, precision, freedom, intellect, spiritual elevation, cunning, intelligence, strategy & capacity to see the bigger picture. -> Mike

The Duffers clearly associated Mike with falcons also because of their physical appearance, more notably (& funnily) Finn’s nose which holds a resemblance to a falcon beak. They probably laughed about it with Finn too. Lmfao

The newspaper is preparing two possible outcomes (timelines/ realities): either the Tigers win, OR the Falcons win.

As we saw in the show, the Tigers 🐅 won. This is meant to symbolize how Will is going to TEMPORARILY feel happy with a Tiger (such as Lucas was among the Tigers).

I even believe they are actually going to depict Will losing his virginity to Chance. *GASP*.

Why on EARTH would they do that, you ask?

Because the day after the Tigers “won” & they illegally “partied” all night in a hideout, we see Lucas waking up with a huge red 69 sign over his head, extremely hungover, tired & nauseous, feeling a violent need to throw up. Jason makes fun of Lucas: “The first time always feels like you’re being split in half!”.

Lucas & Will tried to grow up prematurely, amidst the wrong crowd (with the wrong person).

Yet, Lucas still keeps hanging around & admiring the Tigers for quite some time after that, such as Will is also going to.

However, it was all an illusion.

Later on, we realize the Tigers are actually evil witch hunters & they go after Eddie (foreshadowing them going after Mike in s5, for some reason we are yet to know).

Lucas keeps hanging around them while spying for his nerd friends. I believe Will is algo going to be secretly playing on both teams & being a spy for a while (in order to get the upper hand on the situation, such as Lucas did).

The leader of the Tigers, Jason, ends up dying by being split in half. Lucas sees his true (evil) colors & goes back to his nerd friends— but not without major damage to his true friend & lover, Max.

This means Chance is probably going to die/suffer/lose in a comically ironic way too (probably by Will’s hands; my intuition says Chance’s getting dumped, humbled or humiliated somehow). But, again, Mike will still be VERY hurt (either physically or emotionally).

I think at some point there will be a major arc of redemption, forgiveness & rekindling for both Mike & Will. -> related to Running Up That Hill’s themes of empathy, understanding & stepping into each other’s shoes. 💙💛

(Which are also major themes for Lucas & Max btw).

it's been a while since i tried looking, but i did hear that something like this happens last year and over time started to think, "was it a fluke?" bc no one posted footage or caps of it then, and i aimed for a completionist run in my first playthrough. turns out it's real! and definitely shines a new light on a character that, for most other types of playthroughs, will not give this much emotion!
