The One - Chapter 5
Fandom: Kissed by the Baddest Bidder
Pairing:  Eisuke X OC
Warning: mentions of kidnapping
Genre: Angst
Written by:  @otomefoxystar
Neither of them got much sleep that night. Eisuke woke up knowing he had to tell her that the baby could be his. He was almost certain of it. The timing was perfect. Once he was showered and dressed he went to check on Charlotte. He didn't expect to see her awake.   She was lying on her side hugging a pillow staring straight ahead with tears falling down her cheeks. He walked over to her and kneeled on the floor so his face was in her line of sight. Her eyes shifted to him and she sniffled. “ I can’t do this” She sobbed Eisuke brushed her hair out of her face. “ Yes, you can. I know you can, you are the strongest woman I know.” “ If I’m so strong why do I feel so weak?” “ Because you’ve gone through a lot recently, but you’re getting better.” Charlotte sat up and wiped her tears away. She sniffled and Eisuke's lip pulled up forming a small smile. “ Charlotte” He stood up and sat next to her on the bed as he took her hand. “ I have something that I need to tell you, so I’m just going to come out and say it.” She licked her lips and swallowed. Her heart was hammering against her chest in nervousness.
“ We slept together” “ You told me we weren’t together.” He took a deep breath and looked at her. “ We aren’t and never were. It happened once” “ Do I sleep around often?” He knitted his eyebrows together and shook his head. “ No, you’re not like that.” “ So then why?” He pressed lips together, feeling nervous about how she’d react to his explanation. “ Because I told you had to.” She looked at him in confusion not understand why she would listen to something like that. “ This isn’t the point Charlotte.” “ I think I deserve to know” She was starting to get angry and her ears began heating up. “ I’m trying to tell you that the baby inside of you is most likely mine.” “What?” “ I don’t believe you were with anyone else to my knowledge at least.” She took her hand out of his and stood up. “ You need to explain what happened because right now I am really confused!” He looked up at her as he was still sitting on the bed and took a deep breath. “All you need to know is that we slept together and now you’re pregnant that’s what we need to be worried about.” She sighed angrily “ I know that but I need to know why we slept together.” He stayed silent and she was getting frustrated “ You know what?! No, I’m not doing this not now not ever! I’m done being toyed with!” “ I’m not toying with you. I don’t want you involved any more than you already are.” “ No, I don’t want to hear it anymore” She went to the door and slipped her shoes on " Where are you going?" “ Away from you” She stormed out of his suite and into the lounge where Soryu and Baba were standing talking. She stomped out not talking to either one of them just focused on leaving. Then Eisuke came running down the stairs. “ Charlotte don’t leave!” She pressed the elevator button “ Leave me alone Eisuke” “You're still in your pajamas” “ Doesn’t matter” She stepped into the elevator and she glared at Eisuke “ Don’t follow me I want nothing to do with you” She said as the doors closed. If only she could just remember then she wouldn’t have to ask and this whole altercation could have been avoided. Why can’t she remember? She was ready for her memories to come back, She had waited long enough. Not long after she left the hotel when she passed a lightning post she was suddenly grabbed and she smelled a sweet smell and she struggled to stay conscious before succumbing and letting her consciousness slip away. She was carried into the back of a silver sedan by a blonde haired man. Eisuke was angry. Angry at himself, angry at the situation angry at Charlotte for not letting him explain. She always had a bit of a temper, at least that stayed the same. He looked back at Baba and Soryu. “ What did you do Eisuke?” Soryu asked plainly “ I didn’t do anything” he lied. How could he tell them that he had gotten her pregnant and she was so mad that he didn’t explain it properly that she ran out in her pajamas? He didn’t want to explain their whole relationship. How she was sold at the auction and how she belonged to him, and how he only used that against her if he got desperate. This time his desperation had consequences, she was pregnant and she hates him. He had to fix this. “ Find her” Baba arched an eyebrow “ But boss she said-” “ I don’t care what she said. I want you to find her and bring her back here. I don’t care if she’s screaming and kicking.” He didn’t care if she hated him for it, he had to tell her. She was right she deserved to know, even if it made her hate him more. Only if she knew how much everyone loved her. Baba had looked high and low he had even gone to her parents' house, but she had disappeared. It was unusual even if she was angry she wouldn’t just vanish. Darkness had enveloped the sky, and Baba felt defeated as if he had failed Charolette. He feared the worst, his gut told him that something was wrong. He walked back to the penthouse empty handed. “ Where is she?” Eisuke demanded “ I couldn’t find her, I looked everywhere I could think of but I couldn’t find her.” He looked down, and Mamoru came into the room. “ We need to find her! Mamoru I want you to use your detective sources and find Charolette.” Eisuke raked his hair back with his fingers. He felt on edge and was pacing in his suite. What if she had been kidnapped what if she’d been attacked again? She could lose the baby if there’s too much stress on her body. This was the first time in his life that he felt so useless there was nothing he could do except wait. He poured himself a glass of wine trying to relax, she was the only thing he could think of. He had never worried much about other people, but when it came to Charlotte he worried more than was probably normal.   He looked out the window of his suite as he took a drink of his red wine, something Charolette had enjoyed in the past. Why did everything remind him of her? He watched as the headlights of cars flashed by, wondering if she just ran away. She wouldn’t be that angry, would she? He didn’t care what it took he would find her if it ended up killing him. Soon the whole bottle of wine was gone, and Eisuke was quite inebriated. He went into her room and noticed her bed had since been made up and the floors had been vacuumed. This irritated him, he wanted it to look like it did before she left with the bed unmade, looking slept in and he wanted to see her clothes strewn across the floor, but instead they were in the laundry basket. Could someone be trying to hurt him by hurting her? All these irrational thoughts were filling his head. Nothing ever got accomplished by worrying, he needed to do something he had to get his mind off of her. He decided to walk around the hotel casino. He walked around, and soon he was seen and women started swooning over him. On a normal night he would have taken one to his room and had his way with her, but tonight it just irritated him. Charolette blinked her eyes and realized how bad her head was hurting. She put her hand to her forehead and rubbed, but then noticed the unfamiliar setting she was in. She was laying on a bed in what looked like a cabin. She got up and went for the door, but it was opened by a man with golden hair and blue eyes. He was tall, and he looked down at her. “ I’m glad you are awake Charolette, I’ve been waiting for you.” She looked at him wide eyed “ Where are we?” “ You are in my palace milady far in the woods, there is nowhere to run. There isn’t another house for miles. You are to stay here with me.” “ Why? Why did you take me?” “ Wait…I know you. You work at the hotel.” “ Smart girl. Yes, my name is Yuri, we met a little over a month ago. I’ve wanted you since then and now I can finally have you.” She grimaced “ You can’t have me.” He laughed and licked his lips seductively. She started backing away from him as he started in towards her. “ Please no. Stay back” As he pushed forward her back hit a wall and he grabbed her chin. “ You will be mine one way or another, but you will be mine.” He released her chin and backed away. He closed the door and locked it from the outside. She ran to the door and began banging on it and sank to the floor crying when nobody came to answer it. She put her knees up and hugged them as she sobbed. She wished she hadn’t gotten so angry with Eisuke he was just trying to tell her that the baby was his and she threw that in his face. He had been nothing but kind to her. This whole time he had been taking care of her and never once did she stop to thank him. She wished she could run back and tell him that she’s sorry that she doesn’t hate him. She wished that she was back in that hotel where she was safe and loved. She wanted to be in the company of Ota. She wished Soryu was guarding her and Mamoru was napping on the couch while Baba was making a fool of himself. She wished that Eisuke was sitting there quietly, observing everything around him. She sat there with tears streaming down her face, broken images started filling her head. She saw herself breaking something and being forced to be put up for auction. She saw herself being faced by all the guys and feeling afraid, but not more afraid than she felt right now. She saw herself laughing with Eisuke and quietly glancing his way every time he entered the room. She felt heat rise to her cheeks every time their eyes connected. She saw herself meeting Yuri and feeling so happy only to be ripped of that happiness by Eisuke’s demand of her having to sleep with him. She wasn’t unhappy though she was mad but not unhappy. She saw herself and Eisuke at the party and how he kissed her and brushed her skin with his fingertips. The feeling gave her goosebumps. She drank a lot that night, but Eisuke’s gentle kisses and feather light touches lit a fire in her belly. seeing him make love to her and her to him. They were so into each other and caught up in the moment. No wonder she got pregnant, he must have forgotten the condom. Condoms were the last thing they were thinking about, they wanted each other … needed each other. Then when it was over he held her like they were lovers. It was a blissful feeling, but then knowing it was over was painful knowing she would never feel that again she decided to get drunk at the hotel bar. Ota tried to stop her but she got mad and tried to leave and that’s when Yuri attacked her and if Ota hadn’t saved her who knows what he would have done. Now though she was alone with no Ota no nobody but herself. What will he do? How long will he keep her here? what will happen when he discovers she’s pregnant? Finally, her memories had returned but she had to be kidnapped and had no one to share it with. She knew she had to escape. He said there wasn’t a house for miles, but she didn’t care she just knew she had to get out and get back to the guys where she was safe.

So... Mamoru is Endymion. Shocker I know! But what's he gonna do with that info? Thank you all for the awesome reviews and not cursing my name. I mean, some of you did but it was all in good fun. IT WAS ALL IN GOOD FUN!
I told you guys that I loved the last chapter and it was my favorite. Well, this one is Darkenedhrt's favorite. So I'm dedicating it to her. Here you go, raging and out of control Endymion off to find his 'wife'. Nothing like two people in your head to confuse the hell out of your personality! Personally, I love how the Shitennou react. Cracks me up!

Chapter 17
Her chest tightened to uncomfortable levels, causing her to wake up, the amount of anger that rolled into her was overwhelming and no amount of deep breathing seemed to calm it. She heard voices outside her room, yelling mixed with hushing. Getting out of bed, she stumbled, the emotions rolling into her were not her own and she struggled to cope.
Luna stood on the bed, looking after her as she wobbled towards the door. "Usagi-chan, are you alright?"
She couldn't even answer the question because she herself didn't know.
Managing to make it to the door, she flung it open, finding the boys, Minako and Makoto, all standing in the living room. Minako and Makoto had both clearly just woken up and stood bleary-eyed to the side. But once they caught sight of her, they snapped to attention, running to her side.
"Usagi-chan?"
"Usagi-chan are you alright?!"
Zoisite was pacing, all the boys looking agitated, even Kunzite was a bit on edge. "See! Look at her! This proves it for sure!"
"Proves what?!"
They all looked at her, concern etched on their faces at her current condition. Kun straightened, clearing his throat of his own nerves. "He has awakened. Endymion has returned. And I have a feeling he is on his way here now."
Makoto almost dropped her. "What?!"
"You could have said that sooner! We should get her out of here!" Minako was pushing her to the door and Kunzite stopped her.
"It doesn't matter where you take her, he will find her. They are connected. Look at her! You think she is ill? No, that is Endymion!"
More anger billowed in, nearly bringing her to her knees. "Why is he so pissed? I thought you said he loved me? If he loves me, then why the hell is he doing this to me?!" Kun smirked and she had to fight the urge to smack him.
"Endymion has only one weakness, Usagi, and that is you. Waking up and you not being there with him, he has probably lost it."
She managed a glare at Jadeite. "That is putting it lightly! And I am not his weakness, Serenity is! It is not my fault he woke up all alone!"
"Isn't it though?"
Neph looked her over, straight-faced and honest with his words and she only found it more confusing. She opened her mouth to ask more from him but was silenced when the floor began to shake.
"What the hell? An Earthquake?"
Jadeite shook his head at Makoto. "An Earthquake would be better."
"Oh shit, he is PISSED! He is going to kill us for sure."
Zoisite started to pace again while Kunzite went to the door, opening it wide and stepping back. She gave him a curious look. "I don't want him busting the door down. We have a deposit that I would very much like to get back."
She rolled her eyes and bright, white light filled the room for a second, a roll of thunder following shortly after. Even with Endymion's anger boiling over inside her, she still jumped and squeaked at the sound.
"Jesus, he is going to bring down the whole building!"
She grimaced at the boys, partly due to her frustration and partly due to the pain she was experiencing. "I thought you guys said something about him having better control. Whatever that means!"
Zoisite still paced, all of them edging around the room while looking pale. Neph looked around wildly as if Endymion would appear anywhere in the room at any second. "He does have control but not when his emotions are out of whack."
The building continued to shake and thunder continued to roll outside. "Oh, this is ridiculous!" She pushed away from Makoto's and Minako's hold, standing in the middle of the room before the door. "Come on already then! Come and get me, Endymion! I am not afraid of you!"
As if controlled by her, everything became still and silent, causing his voice to ring out eerily. "You should be."
Startled, she jumped, facing the door and finding him standing in it. "Mamoru?" He walked casually into the room as if he owned the place. Not a care in the world. "You shouldn't be here. Endymion will be here any second now."
Yet another wave of pure anger rolled into her but she managed to remain standing, not wanting to alarm Mamoru. If he thought she was in trouble, he would never leave.
Once inside the room, the boys all stopped and fell to a bent knee before Mamoru. "Oh, Kami. Get up, you idiots!" They all looked up at him, questioning looks on their faces. "I said get up!"
They all jumped up, standing rigidly before him. Mamoru walked before them like a man inspecting his troops. Then he stopped, grabbing each of them behind the neck and pulling them into him in a fierce hug.
"It is good to see all of you again."
The anger lessened, making her able to stand and speak while watching the small and respectable lovefest before her. She glanced around, finding the girls just as confused as she was. "Mamoru?"
The men released one another quickly, a short man hug between the five of them. "But you all still kept me in the dark."
They each bowed their heads, Kun being the only one brave enough to speak. "Forgive us, my lord. For that and for many other things. We did try to awaken you… but it was not meant to be us."
At that, Mamoru spun to face her, anger hitting her hard again. It matched the look on his face and the fire in his eyes. "That's right. It was my little Serenity's job, wasn't it? And she refused."
"What?"
She was reeling, her mind spinning, which wasn't helped when Mamoru lifted her up into his arms. "If you will excuse us. I need a moment alone with my wife."
Tiny electric shocks hit her from every part of that touched him and it hurt. Her last glance behind them as he carried her to her room was Kun and Neph jumping over the couch and restraining Makoto and Minako. The two of them fully planning to come after her until then.
The door slammed behind them and he set her back on her feet. "Pack!"
She was still swimming, trying to keep up with it all. "What?"
He was at her dresser, his back to her while he started opening drawers. "I said pack! You are not staying here!"
Now her own anger came to the surface. "You can't tell me what to do!"
Turning on his heel, he glared at her, his anger nearly forcing her to the floor. "The hell I can't! No wife of mine is going to stay with four men!"
She barely managed to stand straight, forcing herself to remain tall. "I am not your wife! And those four men are your friends!"
He stepped up to her, her knees buckling, but she forced them back up. "I took vows, same as you, to be with you forever. That means even in death and the life after Serenity."
"I am NOT Serenity, I am Usagi and you are Mamoru. What is wrong with you?!"
This time, she did buckle, making it to her bed to sit as she was overwhelmed with the rage of someone else. "You feel that don't you? Once I woke up, breaking your barrier was no problem. Notice that I am not touching you for you to feel it either? That's because you and I have a bond. An unbreakable connection that we have always had. Since we were children!"
"...Endymion?"
He did a small and mocking clap. "There she goes. She finally gets it. And YOU kept us apart. Out of what? Stubbornness? Selfishness? Fear?!"
Her vision began to swim, black edging at her vision. "Mamoru...please stop.."
"Months Serenity. For months you have been awake without me and then, when you found out that it was up to you to awaken me, you refused!"
She leaned back on the bed, hoping to fall back on it instead of the floor. "Endymion, you are hurting me!"
His anger left her, a weight lifting off her chest in an instant, and she almost fell over from the sudden lack of it. Her vision cleared, finding him kneeling before her, holding her upright. He did his best to send soothing waves through her, but the guilt was there as well.
With a gentle hand, he brushed away a few wild hairs from her face, a few strands coming free from her braid. "I'm sorry."
He still knelt before her, both his hands on her hips and watched her. "You know, I'm pretty sure you caused your men out there to wet their pants."
"But you weren't afraid."
Shaking her head, she kept her eyes on him as he kept his on hers. "I know you would never hurt me. Not intentionally anyway."
She felt his guilt again, his eyes leaving hers, but she grabbed his face to pull it back up to hers. "I will never hurt you again. Unintentional or otherwise."
She giggled, but he didn't smile. "Well, that's not true. How will we train?"
He stood, going back to her dresser again. "You won't be training. Not anymore."
She pushed off the bed, her own anger starting to flare up again. "Excuse me?"
"I'm benching you. You are not fighting anymore. I will protect you and the Earth. It is my duty, not yours."
"Are you serious?!"
"Very! Now, where is your suitcase?"
She stomped over to her dresser next to him and slammed the drawer he stood at shut. "Stop it, I am not going anywhere!"
He opened it again. "Yes, you are."
She slammed it shut again and he barely got his hand out before it got crushed. "No, I am NOT!"
"You are not going to live with other men!"
"And just where do you expect me to live?!"
"With me, your husband!"
"YOU ARE NOT MY HUSBAND! Serenity and Endymion were married, not us! They are dead!"
"That is a small and inconsequential detail."
She stomped her foot, her frustration shimming through her to him causing him to grimace. "It is not!"
"Fine, then let's get married."
All the blood drained from her face and it felt as if the wind was knocked out of her. "What?"
"You're right. Serenity and Endymion were married. And according to this world, we are Usagi and Mamoru. So we should get remarried."
"You can't be serious."
"Why do you keep asking me that?"
She moved away from him, needing as much distance as possible from him for fear she might strike him at any moment. "You have lost your mind! Regaining your memories has changed you because you are crazy!"
Her back was to him, unable to look at him at that moment. So she didn't see him approach, just felt his arms around her as he pulled her in tight to him. "You make me crazy."
Her heart was racing in her chest and he spun her around, his lips crashing to hers in an instant. Her brain was spinning, wave after wave of affection and love crashing over her from him, making her heart swell and thump against her rib cage.
After a few moments, he pulled away, only to lift her up off her feet. "Kami, I have missed you so much."
His mouth was on hers again, silencing any thoughts she had other than his lip as she pulled it into her mouth, sucking and nipping on it. He moaned against her, his tongue sliding across her bottom lip, gaining him entrance to her mouth and a moan from her in return.
Pulling her to him tighter, she wrapped her legs around him, not really sure what she was doing. Her body seemed to know just what to do and how to respond to him. She was aching for him, not sure how much of that was from him or from herself, but the only way she could describe it was as wanting.
Her back hit the bed before she even realized he was lowering them and now he laid on top of her. His hands roamed her body, touching and caressing places, the right places. Like he knew exactly what to do while she did not. Her hands felt clumsy, shaking as they moved up his chest to his shoulders.
Pulling his mouth away from hers, he led a trail across her jaw and down to her neck. When he reached her collar bone, her body arched in response, offering herself up to him. His hands worked their way up her t-shirt, pulling it up to her chest, leaving her bare to the cold air in her room.
His mind opened to hers, she read him with ease. He was planning on making love to her, right then and there with a room full of people just on the other side of her door.
"Wait...stop...we can't."
He groaned, the vibration running from his lips to her skin. "Yes, we can."
"No...the others."
"I don't care."
She shoved hard on his shoulders, breaking the contact. "I care!"
"Kami, Serenity, you are so stubborn."
Her heart cracked, splintering into a thousand pieces while tears pooled in her eyes. She couldn't even look at him, pushing him up so she could wiggle her way out from under him. "I am not Serenity."
"Usako…"
"No! Endymion loves Serenity okay, I get it. But Mamoru? He does NOT love Usagi. Never has. Maybe at one point, I was okay with that, but not anymore. Not in this life. I refuse to be some stand-in for someone who died over a century ago."
She pulled her shirt back down roughly, gaining her freedom and getting away from him and her bed. "Wait Usagi."
"I think you should go."
Her back was to him again. She could feel him searching her feelings and her mind. "You don't remember."
She huffed, pulling her head up to the ceiling and letting her tears fall back to her ears. "Remember what?"
He was still searching her, assessing her and she was sick of it. Pushing him out, he gasped, but then slowly got up from the bed. She thought he was going to wrap her up in his arms again, coming to stand behind her.
"I've hurt you again….I'm sorry. I thought...I thought you remembered."
The pain he felt mirrored hers but cut in half in comparison. It was different, more like mourning. Perhaps he finally came to terms with reality, that his Serenity is gone.
She couldn't stop herself from watching him as he walked past her and out the door. As soon as the lock clicked into place, she flung herself back to the bed and sobbed.
~*O*~
"Take it the reunion didn't go as planned?"
He glared at her, the blonde sitting alone in the living room mocking him. "Screw you, Aphrodite."
"Ho, now, is that any way to talk to your new best friend?"
He grabbed his chest, the splintering from Usagi's heart reaching his tenfold. "What the hell are you talking about?"
"You didn't really expect to walk in there and her accept you as her long lost husband did you?"
"Kinda yeah?!"
She shook her head, chuckling, "But she isn't. She is Usagi."
"I KNOW that!"
"And you are Mamoru."
"Would you get to your fucking point?"
She laughed again, standing and poking him in the chest with her finger. "Usagi believes that Mamoru didn't love her."
"Which is ridiculous!"
"Oh is it? Did he tell her he loved her? Did he show her any genuine interest BEFORE he started getting his memories? Look, I'm on your side, I know both Mamoru and Endymion love Usagi. But that doesn't change the fact that Usagi feels as though you are just using her as a look-a-like."
He gripped his hair, feeling the need to rip it out in his frustration. "She's not a look-a-like!"
She patted his shoulder, a feeble attempt to calm him. "As I said, I'm on your side."
He relented, releasing some of his tension with a heavy breath. "What is it you suggest I do then?"
She shrugged, walking away and towards Kun's room. "I don't know. But if you want Usagi, you need to prove to her that Mamoru loves USAGI, not Serenity."
She shut the door behind her, leaving him alone in the dark. "Oh...is that all…."
Not as bad of a cliff hanger, right? Stay tuned lovelies!

Sailor Mars Birthday Tribute
Tumblr media
I am so late on posting this but I just did not have time to edit. For Mars I wanted to talk about her 90s anime version and her much better manga version.
Let me start by laying my bias wide open. I never liked Sailor Mars. As a kid I thought she was unnecessarily mean. She was and still is my least favorite, besides ChibiMoon. She’s beautiful, and her powers and attacks are awesome. As for how she fits into the overall scheme of things, I have major issues with how the anime portrayed her compared to how Naoko intentioned her. Frankly, I can’t help but view 90s anime Rei as an imposter and I’ll explain why...
Ok, first let’s talk about 90’s anime-Rei. We know she’s very hard working, goes to an elite girls’s Catholic school and wants to be an independent career woman when she grows up. Yet, for some reason (*cough*patriarchy) she sees Mamoru in season one and thinks he’s perfect so she’s gotta have him. She embarrasses herself going all boy crazy over him (he literally steps on her head and just walks away) and he seems like a typical clueless dude who doesn’t realize she *likes* him. I relate hardcore to Mamoru here. She’s so thirsty and he is so not. Then fast forward to after Endymion gets taken and Rei slaps Usagi calling her a coward. It’s meant to be some great emotional scene that some fans latch on to. Yet, it’s not Rei’s slap that motivates Usagi. It just hurts her. Go watch it again (epi35); it’s the voice of Mask from her memory, gently and patiently encouraging her, as always, that she is strong and can fight that spurs Moon into action. We’ve seen over and over that Usagi responds to patient encouragement over violence, just like when she does when she faces the baddest villains. Yet, the 90s anime always has Rei cutting her down. As far as I’m concerned, it’s just the patriarchy at work, trying to convince young girls that the boy or girl who’s mean to you really does care about you. It’s toxic and just plain stupid.
Tumblr media
Now, am I saying 90s anime Rei doesn’t really care about Usagi? No. Not at all. She’s her Senshi and they share the same heart and the same dream to protect those they love together. Of course she loves Usagi. My issue is how the 90s anime portrays that dynamic. It’s spreading toxicity within female friendships and trying to sell it as genuine. I also understand that Mars’s fiery personality is what a lot of her fans love about her. I’m not saying that’s bad either, even if it’s an inaccurate representation of the character Naoko created. Apparently, it was Ikuhara that wanted the anime to change her cold and aloof personality to “fiery”. To perpetuate the patriarchal tropes I’ve mentioned, the anime tried to paint her as Usagi’s bff of the group, usurping Minako’s place. In the manga, Minako is the Leader of the Senshi and the one closest to Usagi in personality and in her role as the Leader of Serenity’s guards. Yet the anime is constantly trying to make Mars the one that is extra special to Usagi. Case in point, at the end of Stars the first voice we hear address Eternal Moon after she defeats Galaxia is Rei but in the manga, Usagi is drawn hugging Minako first. These little moments bother me, probably a little too much.
Then there’s the love triangle they tried to created with her and Mamoru. Fucking kill me. The love triangle garbage is just typical, patriarchal tropism within the storyline that has no place in the SM story in regards to Mars. Let’s make two friends like the same dude bc that’s drama that people have been conditioned to enjoy. It’s lame as far as I’m concerned. Let’s take a moment to remember the random, stupid and pointless scene in the curry episode where ChibiUsa and Mamoru run into Rei and after a moment of awkwardness they decide to go find Usagi together. Tell me that’s not the patriarchy trying to validate one woman’s place by using another woman as comparison instead of letting her stand on her own. 😒 And they’re trying to backtrack on the whole Rei liking Mamoru episode. This isn’t Rei’s fault obviously, I’m just using this scene to explicate why I don’t like the dynamic the anime created, and why that makes Mars a difficult one for me to get excited about.
There’s no way you can convince me that Mars’s bitchiness wasn’t a direct result of a “male perspective” (as Naoko called it). The idea that female bffs bully each other and cat fight all the time is ludicrous. As a 32yo woman (and lifelong Moonie) with a tight circle of girlfriends, there isn’t a single one of us who would tolerate such toxicity from the other, even at 14yo. It just isn’t realistic, unless it’s a bad relationship. I’ll give the anime credit for getting one thing right - her bravery. In both the manga and the anime, Mars is fearless. She charges into battle and gives it her all. She doesn’t let any doubt get in her way. She does not hesitate or dwell on self-doubt. And that alone is reason enough to love her.

Now, let’s discuss Manga-Rei. Because Adult-Moonie-Me LOVES manga-Mars. She actually appears in Codename Sailor V outside the arcade. She says the atmosphere is “disquieting” and leaves. In the manga, she’s very quiet and reserved. There is no bickering or cat fighting between her and Usagi. She’s also probably the most objectively beautiful of the Inners. She’s suppose to be “slender”, with long black hair and brown eyes which are sometimes seen as purple. When Usagi first sees her on the bus, she thinks she’s soooo beautiful. And another time, when they’re at the beach/pool, guys keep buying Rei drinks but she’s not flirting or giving them any attention, bc she is not boy crazy. Sis is enjoying those drinks tho.
Her awakening in the manga is very similar to the anime with the exception that’s she sees a premonition of Usagi and Jadeite that makes her go find the bus. Like the other Senshi, she is drawn to Usagi.
In her manga profile, her dislikes are television, modern society (the anime has her immersed in pop culture, going so far as to make her write her own songs and dance at the school festival), canned asparagus and men. It’s implied that she doesn’t like men or care for them bc of her father. He never had time for her and she doesn’t have a good relationship with him. Plus in a short story, she has a guy she likes but he chooses to follow her father’s footsteps into politics. So she kisses him and is like, boy, bye. ✌🏽 She considers men emotionally weak, untrustworthy and is generally disinterested in them, even if they’re buying her drinks and fawning over her. Same, Sis.
Tumblr media
She is described as beautiful and “reserved”, but “scary” when she’s angry. She so beautiful that when Mamoru’s underclassman, Asanuma, sees her, he thinks she would be the perfect girlfriend for Mamoru (who Asanuma thinks is perfect) and that she should be Mamoru’s ideal type. He’s really surprised that Usagi is so *ordinary*.
Rei has strong precognition and has an affinity to fire. Ironically, there is nothing in Shintoism about fire reading, so that must just be a shoutout to the Greek influence on the manga. I love her psychic abilities in both the anime and the manga. Random fun fact: Naoko worked at a Shinto temple for a while before or maybe during college.
Mars is one of the only Senshi, like Michiru, who can use an item as an attack in her civilian and Senshi form. Her “ofuda” (Shinto talismans) are powerful enough to disperse evil and make regular people faint (remember anime epi w/Unazuki’s mouth getting sealed and in the manga/crystal she accidentally “purifies” Usagi, causing her to faint). Mikos (shrine maidens) are known to use archery attacks, so civilian Rei was already proficient in archery before awakening as Mars. Also, just like Jupiter’s earrings stay on her when she transforms, Mars is always wearing a pendant and when she transforms, it attaches at the waist to her fuku.
Mars also, uniquely, has her own guardians: the Crows, Phobos and Deimos. In the anime, the crows never take human form as they do in the manga. In the Dead Moon arc, Jupiter and Mercury power up by speaking with their inner consciousness. But Mars powers up by speaking with the human forms of her crows. This is a great moment in the manga bc Phobos and Deimos basically tell Rei that’s it’s ok to not want or desire men and marriage. She is the asexual goddess everyone overlooks and I love this aspect to her personality. The Crows are the ones to give her the Mars Crystal which is her starseed. We also find out here that Mars pledged a vow of Chastity to Serenity in the SilMill. They don’t explain the reasons behind the vow, but considering Rei’s spirituality and serious conservatism, it’s understandable. Also, while Phobos and Deimos are named after the moons on Mars, in the Stars Arc it’s revealed that they’re from the Coronis and were acquainted with Sailor Lead Crow.
For the most part, Rei in the manga seems more boring than Rei in the 90s anime, but personally, I don’t think so. Reading the manga in middle school and seeing a female not *give*a*fuck* about marriage was awesome to me. She’s also kinder and she has far more respect for Usagi. She’s extremely popular at her school and has her own fan club. She carries herself with a certain dignity that reminds me of Michiru. She’s second in command after Venus. And let me end this by saying that Crystal gave Rei justice, and for that I am happy.
Happy Birthday, Mars! 🔥 🌙 ⭐️
P. S. Check out Allison Yarrow’s book “90’s Bitch: Media, Culture and the Failed Promise of Gender Equality” for more detailed analysis on how women in the 90s who wanted to have a home and a career got turned into the bitchy boss, bitchy girlfriend or bitchy best friend to subvert their quest for gender equality. I think Rei is the perfect example of this narrative. Especially when you consider men changed her nature in the anime from what her female creator intended for her. Haruka
This is the Haruka Balto AU, as sponsored by @rhiorhino! Part 4 should be released on the Patreon today, so you can catch up if you want, but I’m releasing the first installment to the main blog! Please let me (and rhio) know if you enjoy! You don’t need any knowledge of Balto to enjoy this.
“This is the dumbest thing you’ve ever done, and I say that in a long and storied history of dumb things you’ve done.” Mina looked down at Haruka from her perch.
Haruka shook her head. “Mina, someone has to get that medicine back to Nome. I know I’m the fastest dog here. Someone has to save those kids.”
Mina fluttered down next to Haruka. “Someone has to impress Michiru, too, am I right?”
Haruka felt a sting of embarrassment, and turned her head. “It isn’t that way, Mina. I--I really want to do this.”
But it had started off that way, hadn’t it? Haruka had always thought Michiru was beautiful, and the attitude was shared by a good many other dogs in Nome. She was purebred, and elegant looking, like a statue, and she belonged to one of the finest families in town.
Haruka, on the other hand, was a half-dog half-wolf mutt, something neither side wanted or could even define, and lived on the edges of Nome with a goose who couldn’t be bothered to fly south.
But it was nice to dream, and sometimes she let herself, in the way she sometimes dreamed of being a nice dog with a soft bed by a warm fire, who pulled a sled and who people patted on the head and told she was a good girl.
It had been a day like any other when Haruka came nose to nose with Michiru, after years of staring at her wistfully.
For starters, Mina had been annoyed.
“Every single time they have a race, you run around like you’re in it.” Mina flew over to where Haruka was watching closely for the two mile marker, ears pointed toward the crowd, wondering which one of the sled teams was in front. “And i have to chase you, to make sure your dumb lesbian ass doesn’t get--”
“Maybe someday I will be in, Mina.” Haruka had ignored her again, the way she always did on race day, too excited by the sheer idea of it to be bothered by Mina’s irritation.
“Sure, okay, when that happens, give me a call, I’ll watch you get stepped on.”
The two mile marker went off, and Haruka had nearly jumped out of her skin with excitement, barrelling down toward the town where no one loved her.
There was something about running that had always filled Haruka with delight, the unbridled joy of feeling her large paws in the snow, the way they spread on the cold and kept her above it, the way her powerful muscles catapulted her forward.
She felt good at something.
It was no different today, the one-mile marker going off, Mina struggling to keep up with her as she raced toward the finish line, just to see the end of the race, just to imagine for one moment what it might be like to be the winner.
Michiru was there. It was foolish to expect that she wouldn’t be--her girl loved sled dog racing, and in fact, was playing on a little sled across the lane from Haruka and Mina, telling Michiru to mush, Michiru delicately padding her way through the snow with elegance, and a soft fondness Haruka was sure she didn’t show many people.
Then the wind picked up.
It caught the edge of Hotaru’s hat, sending the brown cap sailing into the middle of the run where the dogs were heading, faster and faster, bracing themselves against the leather that held them to their sleds.
Haruka’s eyes flicked quickly over where Hotaru began running toward her hat, heedless of the danger, and watched Michiru step calmly but firmly in front of her, even as she tried to argue.
The little girl loved that hat.
Mina’s wing touched Haruka’s arm. “Don’t!”
But it was too late, because no sooner had her wing touched Haruka’s arm than Haruka was off, diving forward, running alongside the sled team. She gained and gained on Naoko, the champion of the last three years and the undisputed queen of Nome, Alaska. Haruka would like to say that all the thought of in the moment was that little girl’s hat, and while that may have been true when she jumped into the race, it was no longer true, as she ran.
Finally she was racing. Finally she could feel the speed, and the power, and the rough, beautiful energy of competition, the aching wonder of gaining on this dog that was supposed to be so fast, and so great, and Haruka, the worthless wolf-dog, was gaining on her.
Granted, she wasn’t carrying a sled, but Haruka took her victories where she could.
Naoko snarled and snapped at her, and everything became one, in a perfect moment, her teeth closing over the edge of the hat, the second jump to the other side of the run, the sound of the sled whooshing behind her. She could feel like wind off it, and the cheer of the people in the sideline, but the cheer she felt was all for her, and her heart burst with a swell of love as Hotaru’s arms closed around her neck.
She didn’t even hear Mina screaming about how she was an idiot looking to get killed. She couldn’t hear the dogs bowing and scraping at Naoko’s feet, telling her that she was the greatest dog to ever run. All she heard was the cheer, and the beat of her own heart.
“Thank you! What a crazy thing to do,” Hotaru spoke into her heavy fur, and Haruka beamed as Hotaru pulled away. “Showing off for a pretty girl.”
Haruka gave a weak shrug of embarrassment, and Michiru favored her with a kind look.
There was a slap across her muzzle before she could respond, and she backed up.
“Go away!” A man continued to swat at her. “Go!” He kicked snow in Haruka’s face, and she turned to leave, the swell of happiness in her heart melting away like a bit of ice in the August sun.
“She might bite you honey. She’s half wolf.”
It was all people ever saw.
But Hotaru hadn’t seen it that way, that day, Haruka thought, as she shuffled her way toward the starting line, trying to avoid as many people as possible. She had to race. She had to help. There was one person in this town, at least, who saw that she was decent. And she was going to do what she could.
“Haruka,” Mina’s voice got quiet, and gentle, in that way that only ever made Haruka worry about what was coming next, “even if you win, they won’t let you be on the team.”
“They have to, if I’m the fastest!” She whirled and looked at Mina, her eyes full of emotion, “It has to be about those kids!”
“I hope you’re right, Haruka.” She shook her head.
She looked across the square as she walked, and saw Michiru sitting there sadly, and their eyes met.
Michiru had never given much thought to the wolf-dog that lived on the edge of the town, if she was being honest with herself, which she was from time to time. That is, until the moment when she had gallantly and nimbly jumped in front of Naoko’s sled to rescue Hotaru’s new musher’s hat. Hotaru had loved her. Hotaru thought her a hero, and Michiru could see in Haruka’s eyes that it was all the medal she needed.
She noticed that she had a certain rough handsomeness to her, like a wood table that was just a bit unfinished, unsanded at the edges but strongly built.
“You hurt her feelings!” Hotaru pouted as her father waved Haruka away from her, and Michiru saw that it was true, in the way that her sweet and sensitive girl often was--Haruka’s head slumped toward the snow as she softly padded away from the crowd, her tail tucked, the goose who was constantly with her walking alongside her.
“Michiru.” The voice could only be Naoko’s, full of arrogance and certainty.
“Congratulations.” Michiru gave a small nod. “Though it seems hardly that you need notice of your own accomplishment.”
Naoko gave a chuckle. “Yeah, I am pretty great. No one would question. But,” she slipped up next to Michiru, “We should go celebrate. I know where we can get a few bones...maybe some sausages.”
Michiru gave a polite shake of her head. “Oh, I couldn’t possibly. You do have a crowd to appease, you know, and I find myself rather lacking in appetite.”
She walked away, her head firmly forward, and heard Naoko behind her.
“Maybe you prefer wolf.” She growled it, annoyed and angry.
“Michiru!” Hotaru called happily, “It’s time to go home! Come on, girl!”
“Yes well,” Michiru did not look back at her, “perhaps we shall delve into the mysteries of this universe at another time. My girl is calling.”
Michiru felt herself fill with disgust and revulsion, just under the veneer of politeness and sophistication she had been bred to. She was a fine dog from a bloodline of champions, and ending up in Nome is not what she had assumed her life would become. Gifted to a family heading out to run business in Nome, she had in some ways melded into life here.
But she could not, and would not, see what the other dogs saw in Naoko. Michiru knew that moment, when pride became arrogance, when competition became cruelty, and Naoko had long passed it. Naoko felt Michiru belonged to her, the prettiest dog in town a trophy for her to win.
Michiru was quite having none of it.
She remembered that exchange, watching from the sidelines this morning, Naoko and the other dogs lined up and waiting for the gun. If they weren’t the fastest, there would be nothing else to be done for Hotaru. If they weren’t the best, all of the children would be lost.
“She’s going to save the entire town!” Her tiny friend Mamoru, the only other dog who could be said, somewhat, to have come from a life like her own, looked up at Michiru with glee, “She’s just wonderful!”
“There is rather a team, Mamoru.” She sighed.
Mamoru scowled at her. “Why do you not respect the heroism and dignity of a maiden who runs through ice filled caverns to save those she loves? Why no attention for those who fight on through the--”
“Because,” Yaten snooted around, delighting in the gossip, “Michiru is running around with Haruka.”
Michiru said nothing, even as Mamoru looked at her in confusion and disgust.
“They were seen entering the boiler room together, and leaving together, and,” Yaten vibrated with joy in the take, in pinning Michiru to the wall, “don’t bother to deny it, there were multiple witnesses.”
Michiru gave a shrug. “Then I shan’t bother.”
Yaten and Mamoru gave exaggerated gasps, and Michiru thought she saw a too-large track in the snow, and her heart raced.
Haruka had left that day with her head bowed, but even Michiru could not have imagined he heaviness in her heart. But Mina knew. Mina had always known. It felt a curse that had been laid upon her by her parents, their sins visited upon her. From the time she was a puppy, there had never been a place for her, and when her mother had been shot, well...that was the end of that.
And then Mina had found her.
Haruka had always wanted a home and a family, to be someone’s dog, someone’s good girl, but snow being kicked in her face was all she could expect from this world, and it broke Mina’s heart to watch her throw herself against the same wall again and again.
Mina walked by her side. “Haruka, it’s just…” Mina desperately clawed for something to say, anything that would make it better. “They’re a bunch of fucking--”
“Michiru!” her girl was calling, and Mina watched Haruka’s heart call with it, ready to slam itself the wall again.
She did not even have time to tell her to stop before Haruka was running, always running, and nearly plowed right into Michiru, their noses meeting softly.
Mina saw Haruka following in her mother’s footsteps, in that moment, and it gave her a shiver. Haruka was too bold, and she was going to end up a scruffy rug.
“Michiru, I--” She tried to make herself small, to look non threatening, to look like a dog.
“Michiru! Michiru, come on girl!” Hotaru called to her again, but thankfully did not call out Haruka’s name, did not alert her parents to Haruka’s presence.
Michiru looked away for one moment, and Haruka ran back into the alley, tucked behind the trash. She nosed into the alleyway for a moment, and then ran back to her family as Haruka watched solemnly.
“Haruka,” she put her wing reassuringly on her shoulder, “there are some thing even I, in all my greatness, can’t fix.”
It pained her to say it, that there was no way she could make Haruka a dog they would love, no way she could give her the kind of home she desired. She’d tried, when Haruka was younger, teaching her commands in human, to show them how good she could sit and stay and come. She even stolen a bit of ribbon to put around her neck, once, to try and see if anyone would bring her in for Christmas. But all there ever was were slammed doors in her face and commands to get, and so Mina had stopped being the one to hurt her.
“I know,” Haruka replied quietly.
“You want a goose girlfriend? I know a few, be happy to--”
Haruka chuckled weakly.
“Shame about the team, Hanukkah.” Naoko’s voice growled behind her, and Mina felt every feather on her back stand up.
She tried to push Haruka along. “Go, go, keep it moving, we’ll all live through this.”
But Haruka was hurt, and Haruka was sad, and so Haruka was spoiling for a fight, and whirled around to Naoko.
“My name’s Haruka.” She was already in attack stance, tail bristling.
“She also answers to YOU FUCKING IDIOT!” She called to the two dogs, neither of which paid her any mind.
Naoko laughed as her triad of devoted followers edged into the alleyway behind her. “Oh that’s right. Haruka the half-breed. What about you, goose?” She sidled up next to Mina, ignoring Haruka’s low growl, “You a half-breed too?”
Mina, in this moment, ignored her own advice. “You can be as much of a jackass as you want, it won’t keep you from being replaced someday. And then you’ll just be an old dog, that nobody loves. And you know that, don’t you?”
It was stupid, and Mina knew it was stupid as it came out of her beak, but she wanted to bite back in her own way, wanted to make Naoko admit that the kernel of her own cruelty was the same as Haruka’s self-deprecation. That she didn’t think she was enough.
Confirmation that it was a stupid thing to say came quickly, in the form of Naoko thrusting her into an old pot, to the laughs and delight of her team of followers.
“Part chicken,” she snickered, as the dogs behind her told her how wonderful and witty and intelligent she was, more background noise than any actual words.
Haruka ran in front of the pot. “Leave her alone!” She took the lid off.
Naoko had gotten under her fur, and she knew it, and she strutted around proudly. “Hey Haruka,” She laughed, smacking Haruka with her tail, “I have a message for your mother.”
She gave a loud and discordant howl, nothing of the sinuous pitches Haruka had heard as a puppy, and Mina was not sure if it was mockery or if Naoko simply could not. She leaned toward not.
Haruka took a deep breath, and Mina watched her slowly counting. Haruka was quick to anger, and it occurred to Mina that Haruka might not see the inherent wisdom of a wolf-dog and a goose taking on four very strong sled dogs. Her body was tight, her ears lowered, and Mina made a grab for her tail.
“Haruka, don’t. Fucking.” She pulled as hard as she could, but Haruka did not move back a step. “You know what’s REALLY going to make you a winner, Bud? Not getting killed! We’ll drop a rock on their heads later, just--”
Naoko stopped howling and grinned, looking straight at Haruka. “Pow.”
Mina did not have time to take a breath before Haruka leapt toward Naoko, all the pain and hurt of everything that had happened from the day her mother was killed brought to bear in this one moment. Like many decisions made on the spur of emotion, she paid for it dearly, every hit she landed paid back four fold, and Mina honked and pecked at any tail that came loose, trying to get Haruka away, hoping they didn’t just kill her in this alleyway.
There were small signs that there was still goodness in the world, and perhaps even Naoko, in that she stopped as Haruka lay in the snow, still trying to fight.
“Knock it off!” She called to the three, “She’s not even a challenge.”
Haruka tried to fight her way to her feet, and Mina ran toward her, pushing her back into the snow, hissing at her. “She who slinks and runs away lives to fight another day HARUKA STAY DOWN.”
Naoko kicked snow over Haruka’s head as she walked away the three trailing behind her, and even as they left, Mina could hear them whispering about Naoko was a monster, but she also noticed they followed right behind.
“If you were as quick as your temper, you would be the best sled dog in Nome.” Mina said, helping her up, and she said nothing in return.
And yet, here Haruka was, standing at the ready to race, ready to run with dogs that wanted to hurt her for a town that hated her.
That was the tragedy of the little wolf-dog puppy she’d found next to her dead mother all those years ago, is she truly believed it was her fault. That if she was just good enough, or loveable enough, or fast enough, they would have to love her. That it was some fault in herself, and not in the people from this shit town.
Mina, in her darkest moments, realized she didn’t care if their children died. They didn’t care about the dog she loved, why should she care about their individual losses?
It made her furious.
“Do you not understand?? They don’t care about you! You think you would fucking LEARN, Haruka.” She pulled out a feather and spit it to the snow.
“Hotaru thought I was nice.” Haruka said it determinedly but softly, almost to herself. “Michiru thought I was good.”
Mina realized she was talking to herself and gave a heavy sigh, as Haruka hunkered down, waiting, and felt a slight twinge in her back.
It had hurt. Haruka had tried not to show how much, when she staggered to her feet, for the twin reasons not wanting to worry Mina and not wanting to hear her lecture. It frustrated her, Haruka knew, that she couldn’t move in Haruka’s world in any way that would protect her. She was smaller and weaker than everyone Haruka found herself opposed to, and she could not so much as lick Haruka’s wounds for her when she got into these messes.
Four against one was pretty stupid, even for her, Haruka admitted to herself.
Sometimes she just didn’t think. That, among other things, was her problem. Sometimes it felt like the only thing she could be was angry, that no one would ever understand if she came forward with anything other than fangs bared.
But she didn’t always feel angry. Sometimes she just felt sad, and it just wasn’t safe to be sad.
She slowly loped across the wide expanse of snow between Nome and the place where she slept, that she supposed was home, if she had one. An old ship had been destroyed by pack ice and hauled up onto land, picked free of anything of value, and simply left to rot a few miles out of town.
Luckily, the opportunities for rot were less in Nome, the temperature being what it generally was, and so Haruka had sheltered here since the day Mina found her.
As she walked up to the ship, there was a high howl in the air, not the off-key cacophony that Naoko and the others had put forth, but that high and lonesome sound, calling out to her like a single beacon, and Haruka shook her head and ignored it.
“Haruka,” Mina shuffled alongside her, “you are more than the things you’re not, you know.”
It stung like the bite on her ear, when Mina tried to reassure her. Haruka did not know how to tell her that she saw no value in trying with the wolves, that she had no expectation that it would be any different from the scorn she had been shown in the world of dogs.
She was not a dog, and she never would be, not really. She felt more a dog than a wolf, and a dog’s life was the one she desired, but there was still something very wolfish about her, and she wanted those parts of herself. She loved them. Her big paws, her unrefined snout, her song to the moon on the rare chances she gave it. But there was no space for that, no room to be a wolfish dog, and so she simply sighed and climbed aboard her sad beached ship, cracked and torn by the weather.
Her soul felt heavy in a way that could not be explained by the scrap in the alleyway. She’d been in worse fights before, and her body was strong and resilient. If only her heart could make the same claim. She was not sure if the way it was easily bruised was the fault of her wolf side or her dog side, but from what she had seen, she suspected it was specific to her alone, like the strange cowlicks in her fur.
Her face down, she walked back to the scraps of fabric that served as her bed.
Mina walked in front of her, chatting. “Hey! Let’s go chase the cat out behind the butcher’s! I owe him a peck or two.”
Haruka walked right past her, not even lifting her head.
Mina fluttered in front of her again, dropping a bone that still had a few sinews left on it. “For you, my disgusting friend!”
Haruka paid her no mind, just sighed and went to the little shelter on the boat she had created for herself, and nosed under the cover of a mothworn blanket.
Mina walked out in front of her. “From exotic isles, I bring you: A sensual celebration of a dance!”
She waved her tail in Haruka’s face, winking over her shoulder, ruffling her wings above her head and humming a sexy tune into the air, but Haruka did not even give a chuckle.
Mina dropped her wings, looked at Haruka, and sighed, sitting down next to her in her box of sadness and momentary despair. She set her hand on Haruka’s head.
“I know what you are, even if no one else does, Bud.”
Overhead, geese honked in the sky, continuing their migration, Haruka and Mina silently watching them go by.
“Do you ever think about going home?” Haruka asked, a little afraid she would say yes, a little guilty that she would say no.
“And leave you on your own? Please.” Mina got up and walked across the deck of the boat, chuckling to herself, “You’d last one day.”
“Oh yeah,” Haruka gave a small smile, “I’m definitely the one who needs help.”
“I know, that’s what I just said! Are you deaf, too?”
Haruka sighed, but a little easier this time. It was true, and would always be true, she figured that she was on the outside of any world she wanted to be in, but it was also true that she had those who loved her, for whatever sort of wolfish dog she was, and that gave her the thin and dangerous hope that maybe someday, others could see the hero in her too. The dog worth loving.
The sun began to set over the tiny town of Nome, Alaska, and Haruka knew that tomorrow would be another day, maybe even a better one, and at the least, her haunche wouldn’t hurt so badly.
She stuck her nose up.
There was a faint smell on the air, and Haruka grinned as she took it in deep, rising slowly to her feet.. “I smell herring.”
“Oh god.” Was all Mina said, before being bowled over by an excited polar bear, nearly as round as she was tall.
“Mina!!!” She hugged the goose tightly, pressing her deep into her fur. “I’m so happy to see you!!”
“You saw me yesterday.” Mina said, muffled by heavy fur, “Usagi, just--a little--”
But whatever protest Mina was about to give, it was unnecessary. Usagi dropped Mina to the floor of the boat and ran over to Haruka, licking her with as much enthusiasm as saliva, and Usagi had boundless enthusiasm.
“You’re hurt!!” She worried over her, and even began to cry a little. “Oh Haruka!!”
“It’s not serious,” Haruka wiped a bit of slobber off her face, “I promise.”
In this small group of those who lived outside of the worlds they rightfully belonged, Usagi was still an outlier. A polar bear who was afraid of the water, who had never learned to swim, she had been abandoned by her fellow bears, and somehow found herself in the fold of Mina and Haruka’s strange family. She was a bit of a crybaby, it could be said, and often was, by many creatures, multiple times over, as if to ensure you never forgot.
For all of those reasons, she was here now, licking Haruka with fervor. “Your poor shoulder!”
“Usagi,” Haruka stepped to the left, out of the line of fire, “I’m okay.”
“A little wet, maybe.” Mina quipped from a safe distance.
Usagi chatted happily to Mina about her exciting day of hiding out behind the fishpacking plant, but Haruka just walked to the bow of the boat and looked at Nome in the fading light.
Michiru. She was a beautiful dog, with soft and glossy fur and eyes that seemed to know everything, but would never tell you. To be so near her today, to have Michiru favor her with kindness, it felt magical and dangerous and oh so forbidden, but oh so longed for. Maybe there was one dog who could do something other than snap at her.
“You’ve seen that town every day of your life, and you’re looking at it like a castle just popped out of the snow,” Mina waddled up next to her, “That girl.”
Haruka gave an embarrassed chuckle.
“Haruka, I spend most of my life trying to tell you not to do things, I think we can both agree,” she put a wing around her, “And now I’m telling you to do something. Go to her. Be chivalrous, give her some romance. God knows she’s had enough sleaze from Naoko.”
“Naoko’s a champion. And I’m half-wolf.”
“Naoko’s an asshole, and there is no one else like you.”
Haruka looked over to Mina. There was kindness and a bit of fear in her eyes, sending Haruka off to ask for something that couldn’t be guaranteed yet again, after she’d promised herself she wouldn’t. She must believe it, if she would risk Haruka’s heart.
“Oh yes!” Usagi hugged Haruka tightly. “Of course she’ll love you! You are so handsome, and brave, and strong, and good! You are the best dog ever!”
“Okay, okay,” Haruka loosed herself from Usagi’s grip. “I’ll go.”
She had trotted off toward Nome, not knowing what the one choice of a night would lead to.
The race was about to begin.
Michiru made a small promise to fate, that if Naoko could bring back the medicine and save Hotaru, she would give herself over. It was a fair enough exchange, and the least she could do, however she felt about Haruka now, and the softness of her fur, and the confused, hurt desire to be good that lay in her eyes.
Sacrifices always had to be made, and she wasn’t willing to sacrifice Hotaru.
And there she was. Haruka, standing by the line, just a little in hiding, waiting for the race to start. Every man around her would kick her and shoo her if they noticed her, but by the determined look in her eyes, it seemed to no longer matter. Haruka was trying to save the children of this town, even if she stood nothing to gain by it.
Michiru felt a twinge of pain behind her chest. Love was not the symphony she had expected, but a series of strange notes, trying to become a harmony. Love. It felt silly to say that, but every time she found herself in Haruka’s presence, the feeling only grew stronger. Her heart was a kite on a gale of wind, growing ever-higher, and Haruka was wolf-dog, but she possessed a nobility like no purebred she’d known. Not one of breeding, but of her very soul.
It was romantic and silly and dizzying, and she found herself remembering Haruka, snatching the hat from the snow, and hoped she would be the one to save Hotaru.
Ideally, of course, Hotaru would not have needed to be saved in the first place, but life often does not leave us in the ideal situation, and one night had changed her course in more than one way.
Michiru had not been entirely certain what to think, hidden as she was from the inner workings of the doctor’s office, but through the glass she could see Hotaru coughing, harder than she ever had before, and she thought of how hot her skin her skin had felt when she had hugged Michiru, and how many children stood in the waiting room with her, and Michiru felt something very uneasy settle in her stomach.
Hotaru was called to the examination room, and Michiru whirled around the side of the building, looking for the window to Hotaru. She had to find out what was wrong, what she was dealing with, and how soon it all would be well. It all had to be well, the humans had so many medicines and devices, and Hotaru was from well-regarded family, and so everything would be fine, and Michiru was just being a bit silly.
She observed that telling yourself something many times does not always make it true.
She found the window, but without the words, it was nothing, just her staring again at Hotaru and looking for the answer. She felt a wild panic rise inside of her, the fear of all unknown, as she stared and stared and stared, locked in place like a snowman in January.
A throat cleared behind her.
“Michiru?” Haruka was there, looking at her hopefully, but she could not take her mind from her work.
“Hello, Haruka,” She said softly, turning back to the window.
“I, uh,” Haruka continued, “I don’t know if you have any kind of plans, but, you know out on the edge of town there’s this great place to sort of, watch the sea and chase a few rabbits, gnaw a bone, and I was gonna go do that, and then I was like,” Michiru barely heard her, looking through the glass, trying to read what the doctor was saying, “oh man, maybe Michiru’s never been out here, I think she’d like it, it’s pretty and she’s, you know, pretty and I was wondering….Michiru?”
“Hotaru’s in there.”
Haruka trotted up next to her. “What’s wrong?”
She shook her head. “I have no earthly idea, there’s no way to hear through this glass,” She looked at Haruka, “She seems so gravely ill, and so do the other children, and,” she near-growled in unladylike frustration, “all I can do is stand here and know nothing.”
“I can help with that,” Haruka supplied eagerly, “When you have to sneak around everywhere, you...learn to sneak around everywhere.”
She led Michiru around the back of the small hospital, where she easily picked apart the door hinge and slid inside.
“Under here,” she whispered, “just follow me.”
It was dank and dirty underneath the hospital, and Michiru found herself wincing as she nearly crawled on her belly in places, through the tattered garbage and cobwebs.
“I know how to show a lady a good time,” Haruka laughed awkwardly, “but no, let me show you something really beautiful, just right here.”
There was a shaft of light from the grate in the floor, and Haruka gathered a pile of broken bottles.
“Ah,” Michiru sat in the larger clearing, looking at her in disbelief, “Yes, I did notice there simply wasn’t enough garbage down here.”
Haruka shrugged, “Sure, it’s just garbage, if you don’t look at it right.”
With a wave of her tail, she cast the light from above onto the bottle, and their light on the wall, in pinks and blues and greens and golds, was a sight Michiru had not seen since her days as a puppy.
“Oh Haruka, it’s stained glass! I used to think that was the loveliest feature,” She sighed happily, for one moment forgetting her recent troubles, for one moment letting herself fall a little bit in love, “I haven’t seen it in years.”
“Mina used to say it was the way the sunset looks over the sea. I think it looks like the Northern Lights.”
Michiru looked at her with the same reverence as the stained glass. “Every beauty looks quite different in another dog’s eyes, does it not?”
Haruka gave a little snort of embarrassment, and backed up a bit, when the thunderous footfalls of the men above moved to the office, and Haruka and Michiru moved with them.
“It’s diptheria,” the doctor slumped down into his chair.
“Oh!” Haruka turned to Michiru, “they have a cure for that.”
“She the 18th case this week.”
“So all the kids are gonna be just f--”
“And I’m out of anti-toxin.”
Michiru was somewhat accustomed to disappointment and surprise in her life, but nothing could have prepared her for the hammer’s blow of this reality, and she fled from it, running back through the garbage and cobwebs into the boiler room, trying to keep her heart in her own chest.
“Michiru!” Haruka followed after her, voice filled with regret, “I’m so fucking stupid sometimes, I never should have taken you down--”
“No, no,” she shook her head sadly, “Thank you.”
Haruka nodded. “They’ll get more medicine. There’s the airplanes, and boats, they come right into Nome, I see it every day!” She took a step toward Michiru. “It’ll be okay, Michiru. I promise. Hotaru will be okay.”
Michiru looked up at her and saw only earnestness and belief, something so foolish and beautiful she almost felt it were real.
A crash through the door disturbed the tender moment. Naoko, with a line of sausages around her neck, swanning through the door towards Michiru.
“Careful, Michiru, she’s part wolf. She might,” Naoko smiled, “assault you, or something. You know how they are. But,” she wound part of the sausages around Michiru’s neck, “I am, as always, here to help. And if you start at one end, I start at the other.”
Michiru felt Haruka bristle, and her her low growl, and it had not escaped Michiru’s notice that she had cuts and bites from whatever she had doubtless gotten into with Naoko’s gang after the race today. And Michiru was not so stupid as to imagine they would let Haruka escape with her life, if they caught her attacking a prized dog like Naoko, that golden calf no one could so much as criticize.
No. That would not do. Michiru had experienced quite enough disappointments today.
She smiled and sidled up to Naoko’s side.
“You are correct, of course,” She brushed her tail against Naoko’s seductively, “but I do so enjoy the thrill of the chase, the pursuit.”
“Yes.” Naoko grinned slyly, shooting a look of triumph at Haruka.
Haruka looked at Michiru, confused and hurt, as Michiru tried to give her a raise of the eyebrow, anything, to show that she had a plan, and could only hope Haruka understood.
“However,” She rubbed against Naoko, backing her up, “I do love my meat...cooked.”
She took one more step forward, and naoko was backed into the boiler, the results immediate. Naoko howled angrily, and Michiru ran back to Haruka’s side, both of them breaking through the door back out toward the alleyway, Naoko behind them, tackling them both at the edge of the door.
“Who’s there?” A man’s voice came out of the darkness, and a beam of light followed it.
Michiru nosed at Haruka, and the two of them began to slip away into the darkness, Michiru leading Haruka back toward her home.
Michiru felt Haruka fall behind her as Naoko threw the sausages in desperation, catching them around Haruka’s legs, Naoko’s bark coming sharp behind them as she pretended to alert the men.
The beam of light fell on Haruka as she laid in the snow, the victim of another crime that had not a thing to do with her.
“Haruka’s got to your meat locker, looks like.” It was Michiru’s man, and she had never hated her owner in the way she hated him now, for being so blind to Naoko’s ways, for blaming Haruka, who had never done a thing.
“Good thing Naoko was here,” the butcher patted Naoko’s head in warmth, and Michiru watched Haruka’s face fall, “Go on, eat those. Can’t sell them after they’ve been touched by that thing.”
If Michiru felt she could not hate her man more intensely, she was about to be proven wrong.
“Go on!” He kicked Haruka, and she yelped, running down the alleyway.
Michiru tried to follow, but he grabbed her by the collar and held her fast, dragging her back toward home. She swallowed her hate and her sadness, and walked alongside, her man turning to the butcher and giving a horrible proclamation.
“Might have to do with her what we did with the mother.”
That night began and ended in darkness, with no sign of light, as Michiru thought of Haruka’s promise, turning it over and over in her heart.
The race was about keeping a promise, Haruka thought as she crouched low on the line, at the very edge, trying to blend in.
You see, Haruka had lied to Michiru.
The ice had been too thick for the boats to get through, and the wind had been too high for the airplanes, and with every new announcement, Haruka felt more and more a liar, more and more as if she had betrayed Michiru when it mattered most.
Then the anti-toxin had gotten to Nenana.
The announcement in the town square, that there would be a race for the fastest dogs to make the team, to bring back the anti-toxin.
Haruka felt every ounce of determination in her swell, and she knew she had to be on that team. She had to be part of making things true for Michiru. She had to save Hotaru. She had to save the town. She had to know, even if no one else did, that she could do one great thing in this world, that she was half a wolf and half a dog and all herself, and that was enough.
And at that point, it no longer mattered what Mina said on the topic, and they could shoot her dead as her mother, but she would be on that team.
Listening to Hotaru cough and sputter, seeing the worry in Michiru’s eyes and the little coffins stacked, so newly made that the scent of sawdust still lingered in the air, all whispered through Haruka’s mind as she stood, muscles trembling, waiting to launch herself through the snow.
“It’ll be okay, Michiru. I promise. Hotaru will be okay.”
Haruka was going to keep that promise, or die trying. The gun rang in her ears, the sound that had begun the race of her life, and if the shot had been meant for her, she could not have run any faster.

Chapter 19: To Victory
“To victory!!”
Baba and Ota shout, with this everyone else downing their glasses in celebration. Laughter echoes throughout the VIP suite from glasses being filled to waving bottles in the air, drunken bidders are soon lying all over the suite, barely conscious. There’s no mention of next plan, not even after Eisuke has carried your black out sister upstairs and you’re pretty sure she’ll walk funny tomorrow. Goto has gone back to your room and reports live to Jin while you continue the party with the team, such funny word- working with the criminals you despise and got away, now force to work together.
Chuckling heartily at the sight, you wobble your way out to the balcony while Kaga yells from behind. “I am NOT jumping into the water to save you AGAIN, woman!”
“Hehehe, that was soooo much fun!” You say with a hiccup.
“IT WAS DECEMBER!”
A gust of wind buffets you as you slide open the french door, “But it was the first time you said I love you.”
Ignoring your ex fiancé murmuring from behind while you stumble to the railing. “Seriously, you’re gonna be the end of me.”
Following you out to the balcony, Kaga cups your cheeks and hungrily seals your lips, only pausing in between to finish what he’s saying, “You are drunk.” “And?”
“And I like how horny you get.” He smirks and scoops you up in bridal style and leaves the penthouse.
The grand thief suddenly says and grins at Soryu, “Just go after her.”
“Why would I?
Massaging his temples with his fingers, Baba says, “At least be honest to yourself, Sor. You couldn’t take your eyes of Mika the entire night.”
“Oh please his eyes were glue to her, so creepy, right? Old man?” Even the angelic artist joins the confrontation, Mamoru coughs without answering, he’s been finishing one cigarette after another, his eyes also glue to Mika Hijikata the entire time through the layers of smoke.

[ SMUT ALERT ]
“Hey!” A half stern and half cracked voice stop the two of you from swiping the key card, turning around to see the mobster standing with his arms crossed, displeased. “This is my room too.”
Kaga rolls his eyes as your giggles draw a shade of pink on Soryu’s stern face, none of you state the obvious that he wants to be part of something that he’s ashamed to admit. Kicking the door open, Kaga pulls you in. Keeping eye contact with the ex who has recently confessed his love to you once again during sex couple days ago, you’re still in no state to decide how big of a mistake it would be for sleeping with him again during a mission but you should have stopped yourself from drinking in the first place.
Now is simply all too late.
You slowly sink to your knees, hands already on his fly. “That impatient huh?” He smirks before stealing a glance at Soryu who’s still standing hesitantly by the door. “Loosen up, will ya?”
The mobster’s breathing changes as you pull down Kaga’s zipper and get rid of his unnecessary undergarments, showing his glorious cock for a quick second before you lick from the base to its tip. Grabbing hold of his member, you start pumping teasingly while gently massaging his balls.
“Ahhhh… You are so fucking good at this.” Kaga gravelly groans and grips your hair, pushing you forward and takes his eight inches. You quicken your pace as he applies a light force on your head, “Fuck!!!” He hisses, you can taste his pre cum hitting the back of your throat, imagining the anger and jealousy boiling up inside the quiet mobster make you suck harder and faster.
“Slow down, we have got a long night ahead.” You let go and wipe away the glistening saliva surround your mouth, you turn around and look at Soryu as you lick your lips seductively. He gulps with fire burning in his eyes then pulls you right up.
“Now are you ready to have some fun?” Kaga throws the taunting question while you get up and face the blushing Soryu, biting your lips, you lean in for a kiss but he consciously withdraws, he isn’t keen on tasting Kaga’s dick, fair enough. You start nipping his neck instead which is exactly what he needs, a breaking point- your kisses move down to his chest with hands pinching his nipples. Hyogo Kaga watches with amusement, jealous? Not so much, although he never quite likes the idea of SHARING you but this is what you want then he will satisfy you- he always does. Plus he isn’t going to pass a chance of mocking how reserve the boss of Ice Dragons is in bed.
Your mouth steadily going lower until you reach them hem of Soryu’s pants, tracing the outline of his bulge lightly with your index finger and your mouth making its way to the growing arrousal, kissing him through the grey fabric. Soryu gently lifts your head up, gazing you with dazed eyes.
“Take them off if you want.” It isn’t a command, you are simply stating the fact- if Soryu wants you then he will do it here with another man’s presence; he will share you if he wants you. Plain and simple, all he needs to do is decide what he wants or if he truly wants you at all.
Once Soryu is free from his clothes, you get down again and your tongue trace a slow path along his inner thigh licking your way to his painfully harden member. You couldn’t help but tease his a little more, wrapping your hands around it and stroke from the bottom to top. You glance upwards to meet his closed eyes, craving more with anticipation. Alternating the rhythm between strokes and sending bliss all over the mobster’s body.
Getting bolder you open your lips and let his tip glide into your mouth, sucking ever so lightly on it, causing a quick moan from deep down Soryu’s throat. His eyes remain close tightly, now that he’s moaned and imagining Kaga’s devilish grin isn’t helping. Soryu’s hips bucking up and he has to use all his willpower not to slip another moan while you take him deeper and faster, bobbing your head in his desired pace.
Removing your mouth from his shaft, gliding your tongue along his underside before swirling around his tip, enjoying his cock like your favorite Iollipop. His hips bucks higher suddenly along with a long and VERY LOUD groan his seeds explodes into your mouth. Your eyes widen by the warm surprise at the new sensation of having his release dripping from the corner of your lips down to your chin after you’ve swallowed most of it. Soryu’s fingers losses from your head and looks at you apologetically. “Honestly, you are too good.”
Kaga chuckles, both of you turn around to see him laying a bunch of condoms from the nightstand. The captain kneels on the bed and motions you with this chin, he swiftly removes your panties as soon as you’re within reach. Your eyes are still captivated by his fully enlarged and protected member that’s eagerly entering your moist cavern while Soryu’s shaking hands move onto your alluring body, groping your breasts and breathing heavily as the tip of his cock joins and stretches your occupied pussy.
Moans escape your lips as both enormous shafts bury inside of you, they give you all the time to adjust until you nod to Soryu while you grab Kaga and kiss him hungrily. The mobster’s eyes burn with jealousy, you know that but mainly because you are craving for his touches and kisses, Hyogo Kaga is a drug and there’s no stopping once you’ve started.
“Do you like it rough?” Kaga asks.
“Hmm hmm.” You don’t want to waste energy in answering but his head turns to the side and stares at Soryu, obviously not going to continue the kissing. “Tell us what you want us to do to you.” Kaga’s voice is firm but neither challenging nor demanding, slightly amused maybe. This isn’t for himself, it’s for Soryu.
You try catching your breath and meet the mobster’s longing gazes, “I want you both to fuck me as hard as possible, make me cum again and again.”
Soryu’s eyes darken, especially when Kaga reminds him to hurry up. “You heard the lady, mob boss.”
Soryu’s pants grow harsh and you’d feel his dick getting bigger, “Does it hurt?” Such a sweetheart at a time like this, so much different than the times he bursted through your old apartment where he just pinned you down and had his release out in a rushed.
This time is completely different.
Your reassurance is what he needs, “I want you to make me moan Soryu.”
He is helpless when it comes to you, you are his weak spot but he gladly obliges. One look from you is enough to send shivers down his spine, picking up his pace, Soryu slams into you harder, rougher and spot on. His hands on the bed to support his weight, Kaga brings his lips back to your ears and neck, biting and licking just the way you like it. As you’re lost between Kaga’s intoxicating kisses and Soryu’s rhythmic thrusts, your hip begin to buck up and down on its own, causing Kaga to drive his tongue down your throat.
Tumblr media
“Do you like it?” He asks with a cocky smirk with saliva oozing down his chin, his sexy voice rings throughout the room. “Is this what you’ve always wanted? Two cocks inside you, fucking you non stop?”
“Only with men who can make me wet.” Your words register in Soryu’s head as he leans in and crashes his lips to yours, both of you moaning into the kiss as agreement. This is beyond sexy and lustrous, your ex fiancé and your crush, both moaning, panting; their heated bodies sliding in and out of you, the sight and erotic sound make you hornier than ever.
Soryu’s lips temporarily leave yours, “You’re so wet for me baby, sing for me.” His arousing groans nearly melt you as Kaga’s hand moves to your core with his fingers rubbing fiercely over your nub. “Oh my god!” He’s always known what to say and do to you, your sensitive and favourite spots, even the fantasy of being watched and pounded by your crush while your ex is right behind contrast between the two men is insane; one is slamming at a mad pace while the other increases the pleasure with his gentler thrusts but still satisfyingly on spot.
“Kaga,” You swallow, throat dry from all the moaning and screaming, “I’m gonna….cum..if you…” With a kiss to your earlobe, your ex fiancé smirks. “I know, it’s your punishment,” His breath becomes more uneven, “for STILL calling me by my last name.” He speeds up right after his final word and you come undone in seconds with both their fully erected cocks still fucking your over sensitive pussy.
“Harder.” You say with a whisper, “Fuck me harder, Soryu.”
And the mobster does what he’s told, thrusting deep and hard into you, “Moan my name.” He pushes further.
“YES!! Ahh!! FUCK ME…HARDER! Soryu! Yes!!” You moan loudly through each word, igniting both men further more.
“What a horny needy woman.” Kara mocks but you know he likes it, he just isn’t comfortable enough to say the actual words in front of Soryu.
“And you love it.” You remind him and he picks up his pace from below, matching the mobster. The slapping sounds of your bodies meeting each other, filling the room with sweet and blissful musical. Each moan gets louder and louder with each thrust, you’re close again, feeling it build up in the pit of your stomach and your walls are beginning to quiver around both cocks.
“Fuck!!!!” You YELL in pure ecstasy and everything turn white. Your pussy still clenching around their dicks, Soryu reaches his climax almost right after you. Kaga pushes you down, pulls you out and lifts your ass up in the air as soon as Soryu leaves the bed. By the time Kaga renters, you gasp at the feeling of his raw and familiar dick inside you- just fucking perfect. He fucks you frantically for another good ten minutes before he finally comes hard, savouring every second as he rides out his orgasm. You could feel his cock twitching and with each release, he lets out a heavenly growl that echoes through the room.
You collapse on your back and Kaga lays next to you, Soryu finishes cleaning himself up and stands at the edge of bed. “Come on,” You smile, the mobster climbs and joins. All three of you lying on bed, you turn to both sides and peak their cheeks without saying a word.
[ ANGST ALERT ]
SORYU’S POV
Before Mika Hijikata comes into my life, I never even like women, apart from her twin sister Mia who’s completely held Eisuke’s heart captive.
I haven’t been the same person ever since, distractrd, soft hearted, having my judgement clouded and rage has taken over me.
After the long and heated sex with them, I soon close my eyes and pretend to be asleep. Sharing a woman is weird enough for me, I can’t stand a conversation with those two afterwards.
“So what’s your story with him?” I could hear Kaga asking. It’s obvious the two had history, they did bang in Eisuke’s office as soon as they’re left alone but none of us expected them to be engaged. My heart couldn’t sink any lower at how close they remain regardless of all their bickering, the kind of understanding they share is something I know Mika and I could never have. Mika’s warm hand strokes my bangs a few times to make sure I’m sound asleep before sharing her previous mission and unfortunate encounter with us.
“Did you two sleep together?”
“Does it matter?”
“No, but the poor guy is head over heels for you.”
“He isn’t, I’m a cop, he’s a mobster. It can’t be anymore obvious.”
Yes, it couldn’t be anymore obvious but to actually hear it from her lips, my heart is ripped in two. “Oh please, if you’re into the guy, you would quit the force.” “That I would but he’s an actual criminal plus …. I realize he has sides that I don’t wish to see again, I will never be with a man who can’t take no for an answer or let anger gets the better of him as some kind of reason.” Hearing those two starting another private round in the bathroom while I twist and turn at her last comment, aching every single cell of mine and cursing myself for the stupid actions I had made, to forever put an end to a woman who’s been stuck in my heart since the beginning. Mika Hijikata is my weakness. If anything happens to her, I’ll do anything to save her, anything.

Prom and Circumstance | Mamoru/Aiko AU fic
[So I saw this post and it stuck with me and then this fic happened in another thrilling episode of “I’ll just write a cute little drabble wait this isn’t little anymore oh no.”
Highschool Outlaws AU, go! @letstalklikefangirls @josiesparklelove ]
***
>Do I have to buy you a croissant?
>You mean corsage… and it is considered traditional, so…
>k
Aiko sighed as she read the barely-there text from her prom date. Not for the first time, she wondered how they’d been convinced to go the dance together in the first place.
…That’s right, they hadn’t been convinced. It had been more of a coercion.
Leah had been asked first by Roberto, her long-time crush, and accepted with much squealing. Said squealing had continued for a while afterward, accompanied by many pleas for Aiko to find a date, too. Aiko had rebuffed her persistent puppy dog eyes with moderate success, until…
***
Weeks ago, at lunch in the cafeteria:
“I already said I’d go with you and Josie; isn’t that enough?”
“Pleeease Aiko? It’s prom and it’ll be more fun with more people!”
“Finding a date now would just be—“
“Hey, if Josie can do it, anyone can.”
“What’s that supposed to mean? Don’t act all superior just because someone looked down long enough to spot you.”
With that one dry retort, Josie and Leah were once again engaged in friendly, ever-enthusiastic bickering. Aiko tuned them out with practiced ease, shoving her nose into her book for English Literature.
“Yo.”
She didn’t look up at first, not registering that the gruff male voice was addressing her.
“Hey. Kid.”
“Aiko!” Leah piped up, momentarily distracted from her bantering. “Mamoru’s here.”
She looked up. “Oh, uh, sorry. I was…”
She lifted the book a little for emphasis, and he shrugged. “Figured. Anyway, that’s kinda what I’m here for. Forgot what chapters we gotta read for next class.”
Aiko raised an eyebrow skeptically.
He shrugged again. “Can’t let my grade fall any more. Don’t want summer school.”
“Maybe you should have thought of that before—“
“She’ll help you if you go to prom with her,” Leah’s wheedling voice broke in.
“Wha--?”
Aiko closed her eyes and reminded herself to take three deep breaths.
Unfortunately, by the time the third breath had been exhaled slowly, Leah had somehow secured a promise of a date from Mamoru and sent him off with homework reminders copied from Aiko’s notes.
“Leah,” Aiko hissed, “I like a clean criminal record as much as the next person, but I am this close to strangling you right now because I feel like it’d still be worth it.”
The shorter girl squeaked and hid behind Josie.
“Don’t look at me,” the blonde girl protested as Aiko directed her glare at her. “You know how she is when she wants something. She won’t let go ‘til she gets it. Like a chihuahua.”
“Chihuahuas are cuter. They don’t talk and they don’t give me these tempting homicidal urges,” Aiko grumbled.
“Roberto thinks I’m adorable, thank you very much,” Leah sniffed from the safe shelter of Josie’s back.
“That’s what got me into this in the first place.”
“You’re just being stubborn,” Leah said placatingly. “Come oooonn, it’ll be fun! You and Mamoru get along great already! Um, sort of?”
“I’d rather go to prom with a chihuahua.”
***
But now, Aiko did have to admit that Mamoru was doing surprisingly well for himself. He actually remembered to ask her what color her dress was going to be, although he showed no signs of doing anything beyond what was standard.
...Unlike Roberto, who’d been dropping extremely unsubtle hints to an increasingly excited Leah. Something about a luxury hot air balloon rental, and maybe a carriage ride. Then he’d started trying to rope Takuto into doing something for Josie, too, and Aiko had once more tuned the conversation out via textbook.
She thought she heard Takuto vehemently stating he’d only consider hiring a dove release service over his “cold, dead, maggot-eaten body.”
Her phone buzzed in her pocket.
>What kinda flower do you want in the Corvette?
Well, at least he was trying.
***
The evening of prom came. Leah was over the moon waiting for Roberto to arrive, unable to sit still even though Josie and Aiko had hidden the coffee maker when they’d gotten together to do hair and makeup. She fidgeted with the straps of her red dress as Josie, hair perfectly coiffed, lounged on the couch with her phone.
“You look fine,” Aiko reassured her.
“Yeah. I mean, thanks. I’m just… nervous?” She laughed a little.
“Too late to back out now,” Josie chirped. “Besides, you have nothing to worry about. You’ve totally got this. Roberto will be eating out of your hand.”
Leah brightened. “Really?”
“Yeah. Even if I’m wrong (when am I ever wrong, though), at least you still have this!” She flashed the phone at her friend.
A handsome game character smiled up from the screen. “You’re a strange girl… but I don’t mind if you’re the one making me feel this way,” the character’s dialogue said.
Leah grabbed her faux-leather clutch, obviously ready to sling it at Josie’s head.
The doorbell rang, and the blonde blithely leapt up to answer it.
It was Roberto. His ever-ready grin grew wider as his eyes fell on Leah. “You look beautiful.”
She giggled. “You don’t look that bad, yourself.”
He really didn’t, Aiko thought. It certainly helped that their dates weren’t exactly hard on the eyes. Well, Leah and Josie’s dates, anyway. Her own, however…
Takuto was right behind Roberto. His jaw dropped a little as he saw Josie standing tall in her sparkling gown.
“Uh…” He swallowed. “You, um…”
“Look amazing? Stunning? Show-stopping? I could go on if none of those are quite right,” she said innocently.
He blushed redder than a fire hydrant, shoving a corsage at her as he mumbled, “You’re okay, I guess.”
“Oh, well thank you. You’re okay, too. I guess,” she parroted, smiling as she put on the corsage and slipped her hand through his arm.
Mamoru was the last to arrive. Aiko had predicted this, and went to pull open the door.
“Hey, here’s the man of the hour…“
She trailed off, staring.
He had not only combed, but styled his hair, and was looking extremely smart in a tux and tie. Also…
She sniffed.
…Was he wearing cologne?
He smirked, holding a corsage out to her.
“Hey to you too. Guess puttin’ that weird crap in my hair was worth it to see ya lookin’ at me like that.”
“L-like what? This is how I always look, you just…” She clamped her mouth shut and practically snatched the corsage, trying to regain her composure as she put it on.
“Heh. Not like ya to be all tongue-tied, ‘specially with me,” he drawled.
Maybe if you’d warned me before you showed up looking like… like…
”Unless this tux don’t actually look good on me.” He frowned, looking a little hurt.
That wasn’t fair.
“…No, you… actually look pretty good,” Aiko mumbled.
“Yeah?” He grinned. “Well, right back atcha, sweetheart. That fancy dress suits ya.”
He actually looked like someone she’d be proud to be seen in public with, and he’d complimented her appearance. Those homework notes must have really saved his grade.
***
At prom:
It didn’t take long for Leah, Roberto, and Josie to drag Aiko and Takuto out onto the dance floor. Mamoru had conveniently gone AWOL when the two found themselves surrounded and outnumbered.  He only reappeared with a plastic cup of punch in both hands when the “Cupid Shuffle” was in full-swing.
“Love Shack” was next, and by the time “Cotton Eye Joe” rolled around Takuto clearly admitted defeat and just went along, much to Josie’s delight. Leah was apparently satisfied by Aiko completing three sacrificial dances and allowed her to beat a retreat to where Mamoru stood by the wall.
“Backin’ out so soon?” He asked, handing her the cup of punch that wasn’t nearly drained.
She shook her head and took a sip. The ice was half-melted, but after all the dancing it was more than adequate. “That was three songs too many for me.”
“Looked like ya were havin’ fun with your friends, though.”
“You could have been having fun with us,” she pointed out, pushing a stray strand of hair out of her eyes.
He smirked. “And risk spillin’ punch on this tux? It wasn’t cheap, ya know.”
Aiko sighed. “About that… Sorry about Leah. I really would have given you the notes without the whole date deal if she hadn’t gotten to you first.”
“Yeah?” Mamoru suddenly became very interested in his drink. “Thing is… Tiny actually did me a favor.”
“A what?”
“I didn’t actually… uh…”
He took a large gulp of punch.
Before she could ask him what he meant, the tempo of the music changed.
Aiko saw Roberto bow regally and hold his hand out to Leah, who took it with a big, dreamy smile. Takuto’s face glowed bright red even in the suddenly-dim lighting as he took Josie into his arms.
Then she looked back at Mamoru, who returned her gaze with an uncharacteristically serious expression.
“Here.” He plucked her almost empty cup from her grasp and tossed it in a nearby trashcan. His own cup immediately followed.
“I wasn’t done—“
He just took her hand and pulled her in the direction of the swaying couples. She found her arms looped around his neck even as his hands rested on her waist.
Nervous laughter escaped her lips. “Are we seriously—“
“Don’t wanna dance with me, sweetheart?”
His voice was low as he leaned towards her. Her laughter died. Slowly, she shook her head, and he grinned. His large, warm hands urged her to step closer. She did.
“The homework…” He murmured next to her ear. “Didn’t really need it.”
“…But what about summer school?”
“Oh, that? I lied. A little.” His smile grew. “Tiny didn’t need to do all her wheelin’ and dealin’, either.”
“Why?”
“Ya tellin’ me Lil’ Miss Straight A’s didn’t figure it out? It’s ‘cause…” He looked down at their feet, then back up at her. “I was gonna ask ya anyway. But I chickened out. Didn’t know if you’d even wanna go with me, and then Tiny said...”
The music swelled with an emotional flourish as her arms tightened around him. “Actually, I think I would have gone with you either way,” she said quietly.
Something about his smile changed; it looked softer, more genuine, and her heart somersaulted when she saw it. They stayed like that until the last gentle strains of the song segued into an up-tempo beat.
Finally, they pulled apart, and Mamoru quirked an eyebrow at her. “More punch?”
She laughed. “Definitely. And… maybe we could dance again after that? Just to the slow songs, though.”
He squeezed her hand, making her realize he’d never let go of it in the first place. “Sounds like a plan.”
BONUS EPILOGUE:
“Seems she doesn’t think Mamoru’s so bad after all,” Leah said, glancing over at her friend from the dance floor with no small amount of gloating.
“I think she should’ve gone with a chihuahua instead,” Josie muttered.
“But look how happy she is! And you didn’t exactly try to stop this from happening, so…”
“I honestly didn’t think she’d put up with him this long.” Takuto yelped, and Josie hastily loosened her sudden death-grip on his shoulders. “Oops! Sorry, Takkun.”
Leah sighed. “Josie, don’t manhandle your date just because—hey, where did Robbie go?”
Raucous laughter broke out nearby, followed by enthusiastic cheers.
“That all you got, Roberto?”
“You wish, Kenshi; I’m just warming up!”
Roberto seemed to be challenging another tall student to a dance-off. Other students had already begun to gather.
Leah let out a whoop and ran to the front of the crowd. “Show him who’s boss, Robbie!”
“You got it!” He winked showily and blew her a kiss.
Takuto mimed sticking a finger down his throat before turning to his date. “Let’s go somewhere… else…?”
Josie wasn’t there. She had somehow teleported to the front of the crowd next to Leah, joining in with the chorus of delighted screams that erupted as Kenshi pulled off his tuxedo jacket.
“Show off,” Roberto scoffed.
Kenshi grinned breezily. “Hey, it gets hot dancing.”
Turning, he scanned the spectators quickly before approaching Josie. “Sorry, would you mind holding onto this for a minute?”
“Not in the slightest.”
The jacket quickly changed hands. Takuto’s eyes narrowed as he elbowed his way to the center of the crowd to face the dance rivals.
“You’re joining in, Takkun? Awesome!” Kenshi clapped him on the back.
“A new challenger appears!” Roberto bellowed.
Josie smiled like a cat who’d just swallowed a particularly delicious canary and clutched the jacket a little closer.
“Oh,” she purred, ignoring the way Leah was side-eyeing her. “This is going to be so good.”

New Moon of the Dark Kingdom Chapter Eighty Six - The Wages of Sin
Zoisite and Kunzite have found true love, but when some old friends, a vengeful god, and a pair of evil twins are gunning for the Shitennou all at once, life is not going to be easy
[Scene: an all-night diner in Hen Tie, Washington. Minako, Mamoru, and Zoi are sitting soft drinks. A plate of fries is in the middle of the table, largely untouched.]
Zoi: Thank you helping me back there.
Minako: [into her straw] I didn't do it for you.
Zoi: [catty] Clearly. However, you did help save my life, so I thought I should thank you anyway.
Minako: [eyeroll] Whatever.
Mamoru: Minako cares more than she pretends to.
Minako: [sneers at Mamoru] Seriously? You need to learn to mind your own business. [sneers at Zoi] And as for you? Don't get the wrong idea. We're not cool. We're not even room temperature. But I am far less cool with that thing that attacked us all back in the clearing and since it's just about stuck a big giant KICK ME note on your back, that makes us allies. Barely. For the time being. [narrows her eyes] But let's get one thing clear right off the bat, I may put my life on the line to save your worthless Shitennou ass, but will NOT risk any of my girls!
Zoi: I wouldn't want you to.
Minako: Good. [stabs at her ice with her straw] Because this might be the last time I agree with you about anything.
Zoi: [shrugs] From the looks of things, your Senshi couldn't do much against this guy anyhow. So you'd just be in the way. Again.
Mamoru: Ok! Let's end this sort of talk right now!
[Minako and Zoi stare daggers at him.]
Mamoru: I mean it... Zoi, stop antagonizing Minako... Minako, Zoi is not your enemy... He might be a Shitennou now, but he wasn't one during the fall of the Silver Millennium. He doesn't serve Metalia.
Minako: No. He serves Kunzite. Which is the same thing...No, it's worse, because he didn't have to sell his soul to be like this.
Mamoru: Like what? A Shitennou?
Zoi: Evil. She's upset because I'm evil. [sips his drink]
Mamoru: You're not evil.
Zoi: You're wrong... [inspects his ponytail] You asked why those monsters came after me? Why it went after the Shitennou and nobody else. I couldn’t tell you at the time, because I didn't know who was after us. Now I do... That floating thing in the clearing? That's The Death Phantom, a Minor God of Chaos, and he's coming after me because of what I did to the Blackmoon clan.
[Minako and Mamoru both gape at Zoi at the mention of The Death Phantom]
Zoi: There used to be a tenth planet, called Nemesis, but it was destroyed thousands of years ago. The Death Phantom brought his worshipers to Earth, at the invitation of The Greater Goddess Metallia, but she only invited them so she could enslave his people. They were granted their freedom and sanctuary in the Kingdom of the Moon, but were quickly regarded as convicts and sex offenders-
Minako: Yes, yes! We already know all this! What does any of this have to do with you and the Blackmoon clan?
Zoi: You...know...how? [comprehension dawns] Oh, right, you have your memories from the days of the Moon Kingdom...[flings his ponytail back over his shoulder]...The Blackmoon family were the purebred descendants of the Children of Nemesis.
Minako: [snickers] Oh man. That explains a lot.
Zoi: You might not know this, but the Children of Nemesis were instrumental in the downfall of the Moon kingdom. They betrayed the White Queen and allowed Metalia to breach their defenses after Endymion turned traitor-er, no offense, Mamoru...
[Mamoru shoots him a look]
Zoi: In exchange for their help, Metalia forged a magically truce between the Black Moon Clan and the Shitennou. They couldn't harm Kunzite directly, but they could hurt me, his boyfriend. They kidnapped me, and gloated about how they were going to torture and kill me. Which inspired Kunzite to find a loophole so he could end the truce and kill off the Blackmoons, once and for all.
Minako: [wide eyed] The fire at the Blackmoon estate-
Zoi: Was merely a cover. Everyone in that house was already dead. Including me...Every member of the Blackmoon family was annihilated by the Shitennou. Which is why Skeletor's Ghost is after us now... The only reason I'm sitting here right now is because Kunzite made it crystal clear he wasn't going to be any good for anything anymore with me dead... So don't make me chose between you and Kunzite. Because I will chose him. Every time.
Mamoru: That still doesn't make you evil.
Zoi: No. It's the murders I committed before I became a Shitennou that makes me evil.
[Mamoru give him a startled look while Minako sits there hunched down with an 'I knew it' grimace on her face.]
Zoi: [To Mamoru] Remember when you asked me what happened at Black Moon Cove, and I told you about how a gang of Blackmoons showed up at my house to kidnap me for making trouble for Demande Blackmoon?
Mamoru: [nervous] Yes?
Zoi: It was all true.... Only I left a lot of stuff out...[twirls a lock of his hair] ...They didn't come to my house to kidnap me. They came there to murder me... Justice Blackmoon was angry at my dad, so he used his mind control powers on my father to force him to shoot me in the head with his service revolver...But it didn't work. My dad's goodness, and his love for me, were too strong to allow him to pull the trigger...So they tried to kill me themselves and make him watch. But I outwitted them...
[Zoi smiles at the memory]
Zoi: I pretended to cooperate... tricked them into thinking I actually wanted to die...just long enough for me to get my father's gun away from them so I could start killing Blackmoons...
[Zoi's smile widens]
Mamoru: That's not murder. That's self-defense.
Zoi: Yes. I suppose it could be considered self defense... At first... But once they started running, and begging for their lives...?
[Mamoru and Minako stare at him with their mouth hanging open a little]
Zoi: I liked killing them. It was fun for me... They hurt my dad. They tried to make him kill me. And the worst part? He would have never have known about the mind control. He would have thought there was some part of himself that wanted me dead that he just couldn't control...For that they had to die.
[Zoi curls a lock of hair around his finger]
Zoi: Maybe there was a way to defuse the situation without bloodshed, but I didn't care. Revenge was the most important thing in the world to me at that moment. More important than justice. More important than saving my dad. More important than saving own life so I could be with Kunzite again. All I wanted in that moment was to go straight to hell, and drag as many Blackmoons down with me as I possibly could...
[Zoi release the curl]
Zoi:  So you see? I'm not a good guy. Not like you. Or my dad... Or even Kunzite. He never wanted this for me. He didn't turn me evil and more than he turned me gay. I was always like this... In fact, I feel a little uncomfortable sitting at the same table as people who are as virtuous as the two of you are.
Minako: [grabs her purse red faced with fury] You know what? This is gross. You are gross... I'm leaving, and if you want a ride, Mamoru, you'd better leave too. [Walking away] Thanks for picking up the check, Zoi. See you at school.
[Mamoru looks after her, then at Zoi]
Zoi: Don't worry. I WILL pick up the check.
[Mamoru goes after Minako]
[Zoi pays, still smiling, and then teleports home. ]
[His smile vanishes abruptly as he sees the walls of his room are covered in blood. The word TOMORROW appears in big red letters. As well as the names of his friends. His family. Everyone he cares about, or who might remotely care about him.]
[Mamoru and Minako's names are there. So are the rest of the C'est La Vie gang. As well as Usagi, Umino and Naru. As well as his parents. Charles Midori. Giancarlo and Renee Cappelli. And most ominous of all, the two last names have a pair of arrows pointing to Unborn-Girl Cappelli.]
[Zoi has always wanted a little sister. He knows his mother is expecting. She's six months along. She asked the ultrasound techs not to reveal the gender, since she wants to be a surprise, but Zoi has been not so secretly campaigning for a little sister, so he can spoil her and take her to Disneyland in a princess dress.]
[But now, because of him...]
[Zoi sits on the bed. Shaking like a leafing as the ugly realization of his situation hits him all at once.]

PETER PAN: KBTBB one-shot
(Please don't hate me as this is not an easy story to adapt when most the cast is male... Also KBTBB guys sometimes reminds me of the story. I'll explain in my note. @maidofstars this is what i was talking about.)
Ota watches as a young woman argues with a man whom he assumes is her dad.
"Dad I'm not ready yet," he observes her yell. "Don't talk back to me young lady," the man roars back. "As of tomorrow, you are no longer in that nursery!" "Fine," she hollers with tears running down her face. Wait a second he's not suppose to he watching her! Shaking his head, Ota waits on the roof top above where he'd lost his shadow a while ago. A small bell-like chatter rings in his ear and he turns to see his fairy, male, next to him. "Quiet," he hisses. "She'll hear!" The ringing twitters stop and the fairy hovers next to him. Once he feels that it was safe, Ota glides down and opens the window. He spies a doghouse and looks at his fairy and the little thing flies into it. "Is it in there Baba," he whispers. Baba, the fairy, shakes his head. Ota frowns then gestures to look elsewhere. As Baba goes one way, Ota goes the other. As he looks through a toy chest, he hears Baba and glides over to a dresser. Baba is pointing at the top drawer. Ota opens it and unknowingly shuts Baba inside with his shadow flying out. He grabs it and tries to get it on with brute force. The ruckus makes the girl wake and he cringes inwardly at his mishap. "Ota! I knew you'd come back to get it," she smiles at him. "Huh? How'd you know I'd come back," Ota asks while pinning his shadow. "Meanie! Your shadow's been causing nothing but trouble," she whines and Ota sees in time that his shadow just flipped her off. "And that dog," he wonders. "Kenzaki? Yeah he grabbed your shadow- Why are you using your hands like that? I can sew your shadow back on," she laughs and fetches something. He keeps a hold on his shadow as she deftly works. But he can't help hissing in pain. "Do you have something not as sharp," she inquires as she readies herself to move to his other foot. Ota produces the needle he uses to fix his clothes and she accepts it with a smile. Ota hides his smile and decides to tease her. "You are a brave girl, girl," he smirks. "I'm not girl," she frowns. "My name is ___." "Oh. Well thanks ___ for getting this idiot back on," Ota chuckles while flipping his shadow into place. He then notices she's looking at him with a funny face after making sure his shadow is moving with him. She didn't make a move so he holds up an acorn. "Oh... thank you," she sighs and takes the little seed. "So are you here alone," he hears her ask while he looks around the room. "Nope. I came with Baba," he replies and draws his sword upon meeting a toy soldier. "Who's Baba?" "My fairy," he pouts upon realizing that he toy soldier wasn't going to fight him. "But fa-" she starts and Ota dashes over to cover her mouth. "Don't," he hisses dangerously with his hand clamp on her mouth. "Whenever someone says that, a fairy dies." He sees her apologetic face and lowers his hand. Then he notices she is about to get close when something darts in front of him. "Baba! Where were you old man," he whines upon seeing the fairy. He watches as Baba gestures and rings like crazy before he face palms himself. "What did he say," __ wonders. "He said that if you ever dare give me a thimble, he'll personally kill you," Ota translates in an irritated tone. "Why won't you come with me to Neverland?" "Neverland?! Yes," she giggles with joy. Tactic distraction works like a charm. Flashing ___ a smile, he offers his hand. ~*~ Captain Hook pounds his hook into the table then wrench it out with a snarl. Clearly he is having no luck in finding Ota. He's still angry at the boy for cutting off his hand. He scans the map in front of him muttering. He already trapezes all over Neverland but never finds Ota's hideout. But then his crew can't find the little Ice Dragons who fight with them whenever they meet. That frustrates him more than his ship being frozen in the middle of the ocean. "Sir! Sir! The ocean's thawing," he hears his first mate cry out. A deadly smirk forms on his face. This is it. It's time to take down the self proclaimed ruler of Neverland. ~*~ ___ flies next to Ota through the skies with a wide grin. She's always dream of flying with him to Neverland and exploring the land with him and his band of Ice Dragons. When Ota directs her to land on a cloud, ___ feels nervous. After she got sprinkled with fairy dust, combining with faith and trust, she gain the ability to fly. The fact that she knows that Ota hasn't let let down yet makes her braver and settles next to him. He hands her his spyglass and points to below them. ___ peers down the spyglass and her eyes widen in surprise. It wasn't just that there are real pirates in front of her. It is the man with the hook. The man looks exactly like her father. "What's wrong ___? Cat got your tongue," she hears Ota. "Who's that man pointing at us," she asks. "Damn," Ota frowns, making her worry. "Baba get ___ to safety. I'll draw Hook's shots." She struggles to keep up with Baba as the fairy streaks off before she can even get her bearings. The next thing she knows after using her memory to follow where she sees Baba's glowing form, something knocks her out! ~*~ Ota glares at the little boys in front of him. Then Soryu steps out to take the responsibility for hitting the blow that knock ___ out, it was Rhion and Hikaru who tells him what Baba did. "Go and get everything ready to carry her to the hideout," Ota instructs them. The Ice Dragons run off to follow his order. He finds Baba and snatches him. Ota shows the fairy ___'s unconscious form then snarls at him. "I'm not letting you back. You're banished," he states then chucks him towards some trees. Ota looks at ___'s form and feels relief upon seeing his acorn being the only thing that saved her. He doesn't want anyone else to have her. He doesn't want her to grow up either. ~*~ Baba sits quietly on a twig after being thrown by Ota. He worries about Ota like a brother but that was half his problem right there. He has fallen for ___ after seeing her for the first time. He had no idea how Ota feels about her until he sees her prone form after he orders the Ice Dragons to fire. He didn't want her to die. He only wants her for himself. The only thing is that he can't argue against Ota once the youth makes up his mind. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't realize that he is inside some kind of fabric thing. He thrashes around before he flaps himself out and realizes where he's at. Baba got himself inside the captain's cabin. Now he really regrets hurting ___. And he really got from the frying pan and into the fire. The cloth thing he was under is now beneath a glass orb. /What am I to do now,/ he sulks and collapses to a sitting position. ~*~ Back on Earth, Eisuke Darling paces in his office. He can't sleep. ___ is what he has left of a family and only wants the best for her. He glances at the picture on the mantle of himself and ___'s mother when ___ is born. "Did I do the right thing," he whispers, sorrow marring his face. "I only wanted her to be a woman.... I guess it's too soon at age eleven...." Sitting at his desk, Eisuke starts to think. Thinking about how he can make it up to his little girl. ~*~ ___ wakes to the feeling of something soft and the sounds of feet pattering. She pushes herself upright and sees Ota enter. "Good, you're awake. It's time to meet the boys~" Ota grins. "Boy- Oh. The Ice Dragons," ___ realizes with a smile. "Yep," Ota laughs. Once she's inside an underground main hall, a bunch of boys barely older than seven are already there. "The twins are Rhion and Hikaru," Ota starts," the little runt with the blue tattoos is Soryu. He's a good shot." An indigent 'Hey' jumps in but Ota continues despite the small frown on her face. "The kid with the teeth marks, Samejima. Don't let those fool you because those are shark and not human teeth. The sleeping one is Mamoru." "What about the one next to the skeleton," ___ wonders. "Luke? He's always like that when we aren't- Oi! Where's Ryusuke," Ota yelps. One of the boys start coughing. ___ rushes to a small spring she'd notice in a corner and scoops some of it into a flower cup. She was about to offer it when one of the other boys (Luke maybe?) asks her what it is. "A medicine to help his cough," ___ fibs. "We don't need that! Come on! We don't leave one of our own behind," Ota snaps. "Right," the boys chime and all run after Ota. ___ sets the "medicine" next to what she can assume is Ota's chair then chases after them. The search wasn't easy and it's hard to make your way through a jungle wearing nothing more than a nightgown and light traveling slippers. A splash catches ___'s attention and she turns to see a merman sunning himself on a rock. She let out a startled yell at the sight of him. ___ has never seen a man naked from the waist up before. "Stop screaming and what are you doing," the merman snaps at her. "Um... I'm trying to find a boy named Ryusuke. Have you seen him," ___ inquires. The merman thinks then nods. "Follow me," he tells her. She does and he leads her to a cave where there is also- "Damn it," she hears the merman swear. "The pirates have him," ___ whispers in horror. "Stay here and I'll tell Ota," the merman directs then splashes off. ___ tries to wait but she couldn't after what seems to be half an hour later. She starts inching towards the cave when she hears "Thanks four-eyes". ___ looks to see Ota flying past the merman and to the cave. "It's Shuichi! Sigh... that kid," the merman complains. "And what did I say about staying in your spot?" "I couldn't help it that I wanted to comfort the little boy," ___ pouts. "Just be careful Miss," Shuichi pauses. "___." "Miss ___," Shuichi finishes then returns to the water. "First time seeing a merman," Ota wonders as a loud scream echoes around them. /Kenzaki?! That's the name of my guard dog,/ ___ puzzles. She didn't show it as she shakes her head to answer Ota's question. "Well let's get back then," Ota chuckles as he carries the one he said is Ryusuke with him, by his ankles. ___ stops him to carry Ryusuke in her arms. Ota whines that she's being too nice when she really just worries too much. ~*~ Baba watches as a drenched Captain Hook drags himself into the cabin silently. He doesn't like the hook-handed pirate because of the fact that Ota hates him with his life. Then Kenzaki rushes in to help Hook get out of his wet coat. Once that was done, he gets sent out and he realizes that Hook is now staring at him. "I can guess that Ota's done more harm than good to you," he sees the man mouth. "How about a little revenge?" The reminder of what Ota did to him has him more than willing to side with his enemy. What Baba didn't notice is that Hook's eyes had a malicious glint in them... ~*~ "I can't stay here then," ___ says to his face. "If I'm going to be causing trouble then I have to go back and grow up." "Then go and don't ever come back. I'll get some fairies to get you and the boys back," Ota fires back before slamming his door shut. The cry that he hears not long after makes him sad but he shrugs it off. It's her fault for even wanting to be involved with his problems with Hook. Hook has always been a thorn in his side because he's an adult. That was it. He hates them with a passion. He remembers that he told ___ during their flight to Neverland that his parents wanted to decide his fate. He didn't want that. So to him, Hook is the same. Trying to force him to grow up. He didn't realize that ___ and the Ice Dragons have been kidnapped by the pirates, fairy escorts dead, and Hook slipping into the small flower cup a single drop of poison. ~*~ Baba regrets this now. After freeing himself from his prison and through a small crack in the cabin window, he swallows the tainted water that Ota was about to drink. "Baba," he hears Ota's distant voice. "Baba no!" It wasn't long before the frozen cold takes over his body. With the last of his strength, Baba hugs Ota's finger then passes out. He didn't realize that he was in a limbo like state until power courses through him. It was a power he thought had been long gone. Belief of his and other fairies' existence. He opens his eyes and hugs Ota's finger while his crimson wings flutter vividly. "Now I need your help in getting them back," Ota enlists. Baba is ready. More than ready. He is so ready to screw Hook up. ~*~ The battle was hard and Ota didn't want to admit it. The Ice Dragon boys are defending not just each other but ___ as well. She however decides to help by repurposing a throwing dagger that missed her. He is in a gridlock sword fight with Hook. Hook had forced some of Baba's fairy dust onto himself and now both men are equally matched in the air. "You know she hates you," Hook taunts him. "She'll leave you forever." That was enough to make Ota not only drop his sword but plummet to the deck, landing hard on his back. "Ota!" It wasn't the boys who cries out his name in fear. It was "_-___... you're... you're still here..." he gasps. "Hook... ugh..." "Ota," he hears her whisper. "___... if it's you... can... can you give me a thimble," he requests as his voice grows fainter and fainter. "Ota... of course," he hears her soft giggle. If that giggle means that she understands what thimble means!? Ota feels a set of warm lips on his own. His eyes fly wide open while a strong rise blush floods his skin. He didn't hear anything around him as he rockets into the air with a strong whoop. "Hook! You're a dead man," he yells and nosedives for the pirate captain. The action forces him off the side of the ship and over a hungry crocodile's gaping toothy maw. ~*~ Eisuke opens his daughter's door to reveal not just her but a bunch of little boys and a huge chest of gold and precious stones in the center of it all. "Father," ___ laughs and he catches her in his arms with a warm smile. "___, I'm sorry about earlier," he whispers into her hair. "I was wrong in wanting you to grow up quickly." "It's okay father," she smiles back. "Um... is it okay if I have new little brothers?" "That's... if I can find a bigger house," Eisuke sighs. "E'en wi'h all this," Rhion and Hikaru chime while holding up some of the things from the chest. "I bet we can," Eisuke chuckles.
EPILOGUE ___ smiles as her new brothers run in the backyard after school. She then looks up at the sky. "Where are you looking," she hears Soryu ask. "Neverland," ___ sighs. "Do you think he'll still remember us," Mamoru yawns. "I bet he does. Ota isn't the type to forget easily," ___ smiles. Little did any of them know that hidden behind a tree is Ota and Baba. The duo watches them then fly off to go back to Neverland. None of them know that ever since Hook's death, Ota and Baba both have been watching and helping them from the shadows. Even though they did have some suspicions, the two don't stay near for long. But one thing that Ota and ___ knows is that "I'll always believe in you Ota," ___ whispers before turning back to her book, the gold letters Peter Pan glittering.
Author's Note: Okay so I did leave out a lot of the story. But if I left all the itty-bitty details in, it basically would be like watching a version of the story. I use a mix of Peter Pan movie from 2003 and the old classic Disney version. And I did adapt it the best I can while dealing with college stress... it is a good way to relax from focusing on my studies too hard. My usual work will be ready to read in a few days.
One other thing: I didn’t want to make MC grow up.

My Top Ten Hottest Characters list
Since I’m still in a position where I can’t post new art yet... I thought we'd have a little fun here and talk about some stupid subjects. :)
In all fandoms, there's one subject that we've ALL had conversations about. Be it video games, movies, cartoons, comics, novels, or whatever... It's the thought we've all had.
“Which of these characters is hottest?”
Yup. Deep and intricate thoughts with me all the time, baby. Next generation of philosophy begins right here! Seriously though, while I am a pervert... I consider myself one of the last of the greatest kinds of gentlemanly perverts. With comic art, it's not just how the character is drawn, but their personality as well. It's a lot like real life: Sure, someone can look at Chris Evans abs and say “Oh yeah, I could rub oil on those all day.” But it's not until you see him standing up to the KKK and you're like “Damn dude, marry me.” It's all the same ways with comic characters too.
And it's a difficult discussion to have, when talking about comic book characters, because it requires that you've developed feelings for a fictional character... And for a lot of men suffering from toxic masculinity, that's a bit of a difficult discussion to have. Wait, that's not true. It's really NOT a hard discussion to have, but it requires explaining that it's not just seeing the characters in revealing clothing or less... That much requires no imagination and five minutes on Google with the safe search turned off. But this isn't about fanservice... Which is something I have no issues with, as long as it's respectful to the character in question... But it's getting to KNOW those characters and loving those characters. That's something that's different. That's almost intimate. And let's be honest... There's a LOT of people who have serious problems handling that idea in real life with real people, much less with fictional ones. And naturally, when they have trouble comprehending this, they resort to mockery.
So let's start this stupidity. :)
Tumblr media
Doctor Harleen “Harley Quinn” Quinzel: If I wanna see naked Harley Quinn... Trust me, there's NO lack of those images in multiple forms of media. But it's not about just trying to see photoshopped naked pictures of Margot Robbie. Yes, she is attractive, but it's not about that. The Harley Quinn we know from the comics is one of the strongest and most compelling characters in comics. She's more than just eye candy for Joker fan. In many ways, she was one of the first true examinations of an abusive relationship in comics, as well as a wonderful example of overcoming that abusive relationship and becoming a much stronger person for it. Yeah, there was a bit of understandable controversy over her introduction to the Nu52 universe years ago, but let's be honest... We all were already thinking about her in that way ever since Mad Love and the red see-through slip. But as far as character development goes, say whatever you will about her now... She's gone through some immense development, and almost all for the better. From pretty much leaving the villain life behind (and seemingly for good), fully canonizing her LGBT status, as well her open relationship with Poison Ivy, the Gang of Harleys... Which should NOT work, but they do for some reason... And most of all, officially putting her relationship with the Joker squarely in the past. There was a great amount of pride I felt for her when she seriously beat the ever loving shit out of that clown. Hell, my biggest fear for her is that some dumbass writer will decide to shove her and Joker back together again into their abusive relationship... And guess what? That's apparently her biggest fear too.
That's a level of deep meta-writing that's kind of rare in any form of fiction, much less comics and as a result... I don't think it's possible not to love her.
Tumblr media
Tank Girl: I've established before that I have this fascinating love for Tank Girl. This shaved head anarchist was one of my first exposures to independent comics and she's stuck with me ever since. I even liked her movie, and the following Vertigo series with her. (Though I'm well aware that we don't talk about such things anymore. What is my fascination with her? Was it because she's this over-the-top crazy sometimes half-naked chick with shaved hair driving a tank around, while chugging beer and and chomping a cigar and firing a machine gun? Is it because she reminds me of this girl from college who I had the hots for but not the courage to actually ask out? Or is it just a case of  just shut up and stop asking stupid questions, and enjoy the British insanity. Honestly, it's probably all three.
Tumblr media
Jessica “Spider-Woman” Drew: A few years ago, she was involved with the cover controversy involving Milo Manara, and then later by proxy Frank Cho as well, and I won't lie, I'm a little disappointed in how the creators acted. I'm not upset that they drew what they drew... That's what they're known for. But it's how they reacted to it. And what bothers me the most, is that these people who lashed back at the complaints, including people like that internet personality Maddox and others just didn't seem to get what the whole controversy was about, using the amount of times we've seen Spidey's butt as defense. And it's not that hard to figure out. There was a similar repeat about it last year with the Overwatch character Tracer, where her victory pose has her ass on display in her ugly orange tights. (Sorry, I love her, but they ARE ugly pants!) They changed it, and her butt was still there, but the pose was changed to something more playful and “cheeky”. Some online critics laughed at the “SJWs” because they thought that Blizzard trolled them... They didn't and just like the Spider-Woman cover, they didn't seem to understand what the entire problem was to begin with. There's a ENORMOUS difference between seeing her ass and her showing us her ass. It's all about consent.
Seriously, this is Spider-Woman. She's not this seductive femme fatale, slinking around, luring men into a false sense of security, like Black Cat. She's a former Avenger and SHIELD agent that lives in a shitty apartment, eats cereal out of cups, raves about gelato, punches the shit out of bad guys without thinking, headstrong, sometimes very arrogant and has a C-Lister villain as a nanny. (And now boyfriend.) Yes, she's a total MILF... But as Roger the Porcupine recently said, she's hot for reasons other than her yoga pants and her eyes, though they don't hurt... It's who she is. She's passionate and caring to a level that is somewhat rare in comics today. She's this single mom who couldn't even go out with friends to relax, because she was worried about her new baby. She had a hell of a reason to hate Carol for a long as time because of Civil War II, and she couldn't even remain mad long enough to do that, because she needed her best friend more than she needed her anger. She's handled realistically. She's Jessica Drew. If she wants to show us her ass, she'll show us her ass... And it may be followed up by either a roundhouse kick or a venom blast.
Tumblr media
Madelyne “The Goblin Queen” Pryor: When the Inferno storyarc hit in the 80s with these Marc Silvestri covers, featuring this hot red head wearing one of the most revealing skin tight black leather costumes ever, pulling around Magik on a chain... Well, what do you want? I was a teenage boy who just hit puberty. Between her and Circuit Breaker from Transformers, I'm pretty sure I had no hope from there on.
Tumblr media
Major Motoko Kusanagi: I know it's hard these days to bring up this character without the topic of Scarlett Johansson coming up, but personally, there's been enough versions of Ghost in the Shell, between the original manga, Stand Alone Complex, the Mamoru Oshii animated movies, Arise and whatever else that I can pretty much just accept the upcoming movie as yet another iteration of the concept as a whole. Hell, the original manga isn't even in that tight of continuity with itself. (Man-Machine Interface is kind of a clusterfuck of a story to be bluntly honest.) And it doesn't help that her creator, Masamune Shirow has kinda gone off the deep end these days. (Don't google this, if you're unaware. ESPECIALLY if you're at work!)
But Major Kusanagi was always fascinating. Bear in mind, that the original manga series came out in 1991, 28 years ago. (As of this writing in 2017.) Here was this cyborg, who wasn't a victim or arm candy or whatever. She was a professional soldier, who never cracked under pressure and was a skilled team leader and never once broke down crying as a drop of the hat. (In early 90s, this was revolutionary in comics.) In fact, the only time I can remember her tearing up in the original comic, she was experiencing a neurotheological experience from deep inside Cyberspace, witnessing the evolution of life from data.
Now there's a whole bunch of other factors that come into play here. It brings up the question, if you are a male and your brain is placed into a body of female specifications, are you still a male? Obviously gender definitions become more fluid, but after your hormones and sexuality being altered, would you still considered yourself a male? For that matter, would this transcend the concept of gender? Now “Ship of Thesus” paradox theories aside, there are more explorations and examinations on this subject in recent days, but in the early 1990s, this was pretty damn revolutionary. And that's just sexuality and gender, and not even bringing up the ideas of implanted memories, spatial perspective, brain hacking and even about Transcendance of Humanity. And Major Kusanagi was pretty much at the center of all this. Philosophically speaking, she kind of got me thinking about the world in a way more than one. That's... Pretty significant.
Tumblr media
Kate “Hawkeye” Bishop: Kate Bishop was one of those characters I didn't develop a fondness for until much later after everyone else has. And it came about with Mat Fraction's Hawkeye comic, where she served as partner to “Hawkguy”. But you know when the exact moment happened where I decided this dark haired archer was destined to become one of my favorites? This moment from the Deadpool crossover...
Tumblr media
That's it. That's all there is. I love her. She's too damn awesome.
(And in case you're wondering why her BFF and occasional fanshipping America Chavez isn't included here... She's awesome, but I'm still getting to know her. Right now, I'd have placed her at #13, right behind Helena “Huntress” Bertinelli and Clint “Hawkguy” Barton.
Tumblr media
Doreen “Squirrel Girl” Green: Seriously, if you had told me even five years ago that Squirrel Girl would be on this list, much less so high on this list... I would have called you insane. And yet, here are. 2017 is weird. Here's this college co-ed, with a squirrel tail and buck teeth, with a weird habit of hanging around squirrels... By all means, she's a internet meme that went too far. You can almost understand why it would be so difficult to bring her into the live action movies. I mean, you can explain away Rocket and Groot: They're aliens. But Squirrel Girl? How the hell do you even begin to try and explain away that there's this girl with powers of squirrel and girl, who has legitimately defeated not only Dr. Doom... TWICE... But Thanos AND Galactus. It's stupid and silly and there's just no realistic way this can possibly work at all...
...And yet it does. It does so brilliantly on a level I never thought possible in comics. The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl comic by Ryan North and Erica Henderson is one of the most brilliant comics I have ever read and it constantly blows my mind every time. This is a comic where Kraven the Hunter has become Kraven the Hunter of Hunters, as he drives around in the Kra-Van, after befriending Doreen. She's defeated villains using binary math counting. She's gone on lousy dates with sentinels and introduced us to 'superhero truthers”. There was an issue told like a “choose your own adventure” book and another told from the point of view of the pet cat. She has an antagonistic friendship with Iron Man, often bickering with him on Twitter. And that's just in her own book. Over in the U.S. Avengers, she's flying around with Cannonball, with her squirrel friends on jetpacks, while helping a time displaced Dani Cage, who's now the future Captain America fight the Golden Skull and his $kullocracy, who has a helicarrier with a volcano base on it... Jesus, this is all utter nonsense and it works. There's no reason it should work and it does. She's adorable, she's amazing... She's unbeatable.
Tumblr media
Dick “Nightwing” Grayson: Hey, I may identify as mostly straight, but I have no probably acknowledging and appreciating the fine ass that belongs to Richard Grayson. I always liked him, to be honest. Even as a kid, I always thought Robin was awesome, so I always liked Nightwing too. To me, he's like the perfect superhero. He's has no superpowers, his hearts always in the right place, he tries hard all the time and is just generally an awesome guy. I actually loved the period of time when he was Batman. The dynamic between hims and Damian was utterly perfect, with a cheerful and upbeat Batman and a dour and pissy Robin. It's a dynamic duo I hope one day returns, because to be honest... This is going to sound insane, but I always think the Batman case is far, far more interesting when Batman is NOT around. I think Bruce's the least interesting of the entire Batfamily. Batman is this unstoppable force... He's this parody that people accuse Squirrel Girl of being, but without the sense of humor. But Grayson? He's flawed. He's not perfect. He screws up and makes mistakes, gets angry, is passionate and loving. He'll get into Bruce's face, and tell him when he's wrong. And Bruce will listen.
He's one of the greatest superheroes ever, and that's why he's up so high on my list.
Also, dat ass.
Tumblr media
Barbara “Batgirl” Gordon and Dinah “Black Canary” Drake: I combined these two together for one entry. (Dinah has the top entry, if you're curious.)
Batgirl's always been a favorite of mine. In fact, I love many of her incarnations over the years, frok Barbara, to Stephanie, to Cass to even the unknown original, Bette. (And I even include Charlie in this list, even if it was short lived.) With Barbara, unlike Bruce or Dick. She didn't go through some horrible tragedy to want to fight crime... She just had a strong sense of right and wrong instilled upon her by her father, the Commissioner. To her, it was fun and exciting, though she was well aware of the dangers that came with the cape and cowl. She eventually did experience tragedy at the hands of the Joker with the Killing Joke... Which um... Well, let's just say, I'm not too big of a fan of. The controversies over that story has been brought up so many times, that there's no much else to say about it that others haven't said and said better. It's a good story, but it sucks that Barbara was basically a motivator to enhance the story for Bruce and the clown. But I think we all agree the character development that came out of her when she became Oracle was revolutionary. It was during this time that she teamed up with Black Canary and formed the Birds of Prey, leading to one of the most consistently famous and popular teams of all time. (Especially once Huntress joined in the fun.)
Eventually with the launch of the Nu52, we have her reclaim the mantle of Batgirl... And... Sigh... No offense to Gail Simone, I wasn't too fond of these stories. They seemed overly dark and depressing for the sake of being dark and depressing, at a time I really did NOT want dark and depressing comics. But I did really like that one “Future's End story where she became Bete Noire, and was leading a team of Batgirls. Probably because that was a similar idea I came up with long ago, with a team of Batgirls running around kicking ass.
Then came the Burnside Batgirl stories. I know they were a bit controversial to some people  sneering the words “hipster” around like a slur word and others loving the fun new take and direction with it, I felt firmly in the latter category. I thought the new costume was actually rather well thought out, looking less like a cartoon costume into something more practical. Much like Spider-Woman's new costume, I liked it a lot. I greatly enjoyed the entire run, and currently I'm following the creative team over at Image on their creator owned project Motor Crush. The new creative team on Batgirl I haven't bought yet, mainly due to budgetary reasons. ('m buying a lot more books these days!) But 'm currently waiting for the collection to follow along. However, I have been buying Batgirl and the Birds of Prey... And the reason for it? Well, it involves our #1 spot.
I'm not going to lie. I never hated Black Canary, but she was never a huge favorite of mine. She was just... There. She was to me what I always felt characters like Martian Manhunter or Gambit were: Characters good enough to be awesome on a team, but not awesome enough to support their own book. She showed up in the Burnside Batgirl relaunch as a supporting character who had her van burned and destroyed by Barbara's equipment malfunctioning. They established her as a musician, and I thought “Well, all right.” Like I said, I didn't hate her. I just didn't love her either.
Then her series came out.
Here's the thing about that. A couple years ago, I was in the stages of plotting a comic story for a musician friend of mine, where it was basically a comic story starring her. And I had this neat plot thought out... And then the Black Canary comic came out.
And suddenly I had to scrap that entire project because there's NO WAY I could a comic about a blonde rock musician touring across the states with a young girl in two, protecting her from monsters and evil scientists, as a former rival musician shows up as the antagonist... OH MY GOD, it's the same story!!
Understand, I'm not saying they stole it from me. I'm saying we came up with the same idea... They beat me to doing the story, and they were doing it better than I could have!
Though I was pissed, I kept reading it. I mean, it was a great comic! And they developed Dinah's  character far, FAR better than they ever did for poor Laurel Lance on Arrow. (I know there's a new Dinah now... But that's another issue all together.) This girl was amazing. And then I read a little more into it and found out that she was part of Team 7. Now, Team 7 was one of my favorite parts of the old Wildstorm Universe, and suddenly the idea that she got her powers from the same means that Grifter, Deathstroke, and the others got their powers... The old Gen13 fan in me fell in love this idea! And then I just started to read more and more into her, and found myself really loving Dinah Drake. Much like Jessica Drew, she ain't perfect, but the fighting skills are there. She can hold her own against other superpowered beings, with or without the sonic scream. Hell, in that horrible Injustice comic, her friendship with Harley Quinn was the only really good thing that came out of that.
And just to add to it all, her comic was awesome. It was a musical comic done right. I've heard from so many people saying that “music in comics just does not work, because it is an incompatible medium, and to that, I say “Fuck you, read Black Canary!” The art, while on the surface was sketchy and rough, there was a form of brilliance to it, such as an issue where she fought someone, with the battle overlaid over music bars. And then there was the final issue, where it was a tribute to David Bowie. I was really kinda bummed when it was on the chopping block for Rebirth. But Dinah is currently running around in Birds of Prey again, serving as the rational one between Barbara and the grumpy Helena. And as of recently, she was one of the first recruits by Batman to form a new Justice League comprised of basically the supporting characters of the CW Shows... And Lobo.
And all of that with both Barbara and Dinah isn't even getting into the close friendship the two of them have. You wanna say they're close like sisters or you wanna say they're a lot closer and are in denial about how they feel? Go with whatever you want, because I'm cool with either. I love 'em both, and that's why to me, Babs and D.D. are my top two hottest comic characters.
Next time, I’ll come up with a dumber topic. :P

I already posted my ANs earlier today but I’m doing it again in case they got lost in the void that is Tumblr sometimes. Getting the word out is key to get what I need but if you read my earlier post, feel free to skip the ANs. They’re all at the bottom.

Chapter 19
She half expected him to be at the gate, waiting for her at the end of school. Partly disappointed to find him not there, she continued her way to the Crown, her shift starting soon. Makoto had her cooking club again and Ami was working on a Science fair project. Minako told her to wait for her to leave school, but she wasn't going to sit around for the blonde. Her tardiness was just as legendary as hers.
In the dark break room, she shoved her coat into her locker and pulled her neatly folded work uniform out of her book bag. The Crown had a simple uniform for its servers, black bottoms and a solid colored top. No print of any kind was allowed on the shirt and it couldn't be too bright. And shoes could be anything as long as they weren't sandals or flip-flops.
She liked to copy Rachel from "Friends", wearing a tight black skirt that stopped just above her knees and a long-sleeved shirt with a rounded neckline. Today, it was a light pink color. She had it tucked in as part of the dress code, but she would have anyway.
With deft fingers, she braided her tails and wrapped them around her buns, creating two loops that hung from their length. The last thing she ever wanted working here was for a tail to drop into some ketchup or a milkshake.
Pulling her tennis shoes on, she stood and straightened her apron, brushing away imaginary dust as she stepped out and into her shift.
It was still bright and sunny outside, a nice day. It was easy to forget the darkness that had been this morning and the night before. Not that she could. Even though her heart pounded at the thought of being in Mamoru's arms, it also hurt, remembering how he called out for Serenity while trying to make love to her.
Then she clamped down on herself, knowing it was far too late, only now remembering that Mamoru could once again feel and hear/see her every thought. Wherever he was or whatever he was doing, it wouldn't be long until he showed up. Looking around, no one near or in need of her attention, she shut her eyes and focused, trying to find him. It didn't take long, his warmth draping over her, and it startled her a bit. Their connection was so much more than it had been before.
The result of his energy inside her no doubt.
"Tsukino-chan!"
Lost in her thoughts yet again, she jumped at the hand that grabbed her shoulder. At the defensive, she had to calm herself quickly when she found Ginga-san's sister standing next to her. A smile was plastered on her face and it barely hid her disdain for Usagi.
If she dislikes me so much, then why is she talking to me?
"Have you seen Mamoru today?"
Well, there you go…
Not really sure if she should be honest or not, she shook her head at the girl. "No, not for a while now."
It had been a while since she had seen him this morning. "Oh. I guess I will wait then. He usually comes by this time of day right?"
She was asking her again. Expecting her to give her insight into Mamoru. "I guess so."
Ginga glared at her, "You know very well when he is or isn't here. I see you flirting with him shamelessly any time he's around!"
"Excuse me?" She was pretty sure she never flirted with Mamoru. Not in public anyway and the other stuff he initiated. There were a few times when they were here, but Ginga hadn't been here..had she?
"And the way you treated my brother?!"
She had almost forgotten the incident with her brother. Or that the two of them were related. She really didn't want to get back to all of that again so she went back to work, going around Ginga and making her way to a table that just sat down.
Ginga left or sat down somewhere, she really wasn't sure but she let the girl slip from her mind completely. Time passed and Mamoru still had yet to make an appearance. She could feel him but she wasn't sure how near or far he was from her. Something she would have to figure out with time. Either way, he must have been giving her the space that she never asked for but clearly needed. Her mind and heart were still a mess.
She was walking a tray of food over to a table and didn't see the bookbag strap in her way. It caught and wrapped around her foot and almost sent her flying. But hands caught her, stilling her and her tray of food. Looking up, fully prepared to thank her rescuer, her voice stopped in her throat, Ginga-san giving her a sad grin.
He released her quickly enough and she delivered the food, finding him still near her once she was done.
"Tsukino-chan, may we talk?"
Her tray still in her hands, she pulled it in tight to her chest. "Alright."
"In private?"
"No."
He didn't push, following her as she returned her tray to the kitchen window. "I am really sorry about the other day."
She softened, unable to hold any grudge. "I forgive you."
His face lit up, "Really?"
She shrugged easily, "Yeah, of course. I don't hold grudges Ginga-san."
He nodded, looking away from her to the floor in thought. "Yeah, I get that about you."
Silence grew between them and she was ready to move on. "Okay, so...no worries right?"
Planning on walking away and thinking no more on the subject, she was a bit surprised when he reached out and grabbed her elbow. It wasn't a hard grasp, she could break away from it easily. But for some reason, she couldn't all at the same time. That feeling she got from him before was back, a painful tingling up her arm having a slightly numbing effect on her mind. It wasn't as strong as the first time, allowing her to keep most of her wits about her. But she was curious, wanting to figure out what this was, what he was doing when he touched her.
"Will you go out with me, Usagi-chan?"
A fire flared in her at his use of her informal name yet again. "No Ginga-san, I will not."
He looked genuinely shocked as if he truly expected a different response from her. The fuzzy feeling in her mind grew a little and his grip tightened slightly. Neither hurt nor affected her ability to think clearly, but she felt it just the same.
"Why not?"
She shook her head, opening her mouth to speak, but did not get the chance. "Because she is already spoken for."
Mamoru appeared at her side, pulling her arm gently from Ginga's grasp and her closer to him. "Usagi-chan?"
Again she tried to speak but was cut off. "You really shouldn't be addressing her so informally."
There was malice in Mamoru's voice, but really he just sounded cocky. "And just what should I call her?"
Mamoru put a finger to his chin as if honestly thinking about it. "You could call her Tsukino. But to be honest, you really should call her Chiba."
Her mouth hung open, any and all words she could say getting lost as they fell to the floor from her gaping lips. Irritated, she pulled herself from Mamoru's touch, forgetting for a second that they no longer needed to touch. He was goading her through their connection with memories of their moment that morning in one another's arms.
Ginga-san had started to shake a little. "Tsukino-chan, who is this guy?"
Mamoru bested her again, sticking a hand out for Ginga-san to shake, blocking him from her as he had taken a small step towards her. "Chiba Mamoru, Usagi's husband."
No way Ginga was going to shake Mamoru's hand so she knocked it down, glaring up at him while he smirked. "He's my boyfriend."
She really didn't think of him as either but she knew that calling him her boyfriend would be two birds, one stone. It would put Ginga-san in his place and Mamoru would take a slight hit to his pride. She wished she could knock his pride more, use it as a hockey puck, but she was sure she was not that cruel of a person.
"He's your WHAT?!"
They all spun, finding Ginga-san's sister standing a few steps away, seething. She had never seen a girl look so crazed before. At least not over a boy.
Mamoru grabbed her and pulled her a little closer to him, the notion only making Ginga growl. Seijuro left the two of them, walking carefully over to his sister as if she were in fact the bomb she so closely resembled.
"Come now Natsumi, we should go home. Now!"
Natsumi pulled her arm out of his grasp roughly, still glaring at her. "This isn't over, Tsukino. Not by a long shot!"
Natsumi stormed out, her brother following after like a little puppy. "You and that girl in some kind of battle?"
She shrugged, "Not that I'm aware of." He tugged her, gaining her full attention and her irritation flared back up. "You! How could you!"
She swatted him but he just chuckled, grabbing her hands and holding them still. "What? I just told the truth."
Rolling her eyes, she released a rueful sigh. "Please do not go around telling people we're married, Mamoru. They will get the wrong impression."
"And what impression is that exactly?"
"That it's true!"
He pulled her in close, so close she feared he was about to kiss her in front of everyone. "But it is true. You're just letting this whole death and rebirth thing cloud your judgment." Feeling her nervousness, he pulled away quickly. "Relax Usako, no one is even paying attention to us."
He released her, putting her hands on her hips in full fuss mode. "What are you doing here anyway? Is this once again your version of space?"
"No, I had fully intended on waiting until you were off work."
"So...what are you doing here?"
He took a step back, sitting down on the nearby stool. "Did you really expect me to sit back and do nothing while some kid manhandles my wife?"
"I am not your…"
"My girlfriend then. He was working some weird magic on you, Usako. Did you not feel it? I did. Something is up with that guy."
Crossing her arms over her chest, she glared at him some more. "Of course, I did! Why do you think I allowed him to touch me in the first place? I was trying to figure out what he was and what he was doing!"
Her hands now missing from them, he grabbed her hips and pulled her to him, forcing her to put her hands out to keep him at a, albeit small, distance. "Yeah, letting him manhandle you."
"The only one manhandling me is you!"
He chuckled and her heart raced, internally cursing her deep attraction to him. "And that is how it should be." She shook her head at him but he just grinned. "You look beautiful by the way."
Glancing down at herself, as if she forgot what she was wearing, she looked back up at him incredulously. "It's the same thing I always wear here."
"Yeah, well now I'm smart enough to tell you, you look beautiful."
As if to prove his point, he tugged playfully on one of her braided rings, causing her to giggle and blush madly. Then he stole a kiss. It was a quick peck on the lips but it left a lingering impression nonetheless, pulling at her lips for a second as he pulled away. They watched one another for a second and then he leaned in, wanting to kiss her again but this time she stopped him.
"You're going to get me fired."
"You don't need this job anyway."
She shrugged out of his hold a bit. "Great, now my job is an issue? I'm not going to mooch off the boys any more than I already have."
"Then don't, mooch off of me."
"Mamo, I am not moving in with you!"
He pulled her back to him, smirking at the smile she was barely containing. "Why not?"
"Because I don't trust your intentions."
He froze, his mouth hanging wide open, but he couldn't deny it either. Shutting his mouth, he let out a sigh. "Fine, then go back to your parents."
Her heart stopped. "What?"
"Go back to your parents."
"That is not an option Mamo, they would be in danger and I can't risk it."
Continuing with their tug of war, he pulled her in again. "Then let me risk it. Move back home and I will protect them. All of you. They will be safe and you will be in their care."
She stared at him, slack-jawed. There was no doubt that he meant it and honestly believed he could keep them all safe. And even though she wasn't as confident as he was, the fact that he was willing to do so much to make her happy, to send her home was overwhelming. Even if it was a bit self-serving, getting her out of a house full of men, he didn't intend it that way. He offered for her, not himself.
Her fingers curled around his neck, pulling him to her so hard and fast, it surprised both of them. But he recovered quickly, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her closer. Just as he slipped his tongue into her mouth, she felt it, pushing him away hard and fast. But not fast enough. He had just enough time to look at her with concern and confusion before half of the wall to the front of the arcade splintered apart, blasting inward on all those inside.
She was thrown to the floor, Mamoru's body covering hers. He rolled off of her in an instant, pulling her up with him as he got up off the floor. Taking his hand, she pulled him behind the counter, intending on going into the backroom to transform. But a large pile of cement and wood now blocked them from it. They could get through, but it would take time and they didn't have any.
A woman walked through the hole, or rather, she looked like a woman in many respects. Pale green skin peeked out of the dark red, skin-tight bodysuit. Pink hair that matched Usagi's shirt, spilled down her back while gold coiled around her arms and legs. She was very pretty for a Cardigan, as that voice called the one earlier.
Mamoru shoved her behind him and she let him, only so she could peek around the side of him.
"WHERE IS TSUKINO!"
Then he shoved her down behind the counter, falling to her knees hard. Fear made her heart race, but it was not her own. It was Mamoru's. The man who feared nothing, not even death, and here he was afraid for her?
"Mamoru! Where is she!"
"I don't know. Why don't you try the ladies' room?"
The fear he felt did not show in his voice in the slightest and she found herself craving to see what it looked like on his face. Not sure what she would find, she crept around the corner of the counter. Mamoru appeared in her sights, she drank him in. He looked the same, stoic and determined. He had stepped away from the counter and did all he could to not look her way.
"FINE! You don't want to tell me? I will just start killing EVERYONE in this room until she is handed over!"
Mamoru paled, that much she could see, and in her mind he was begging her to stay put. But as she heard the screams of someone else, her heart broke, or rather Mamoru's did knowing she was going to reveal herself.
She popped up and the Cardigan's eyes went straight to her, dropping the young boy she had in her grasp.
"I will come with you if you leave everyone else alone."
The creature laughed, "Oh you are hardly in any position to bargain!"
It shimmered and disappeared, popping up right beside her behind the counter. Grabbing her arm, she threw Usagi out and over, almost landing painfully on the other side, but Mamoru caught her. This only angered the creature more.
Shimmering again, she appeared between them, the force knocking them both backward. Her towards the door and Mamoru back deeper into the arcade.
Pain ripped through her skull, a scream coming from her while the womanoid cackled, pulling her by one of her braided loops. The same one Mamoru had just teased her with.
"I am going to suck you dry and leave your corpse high in the trees to rot. They won't find it till you are unrecognizable."
She tugged on her locks, stuck tight in the creature's grip. "Kami you're sick. Did your Masters make you like this?!"
It cackled again, pulling her in tighter, the strands screaming for release at her scalp. "Masters? I have no Master, I am my own!"
The creature's free hand went to her throat and started to squeeze. Then she was knocked away, both of them falling to the floor, Mamoru on top of the beast. He rolled off, grabbing Usagi off the floor and pulling her towards the hole. They were almost there when she appeared before them again.
It raised a hand at both of them. "Give her to me and you can live!" Mamoru shoved her behind him, giving it his answer. "Are you really going to let him die for you?"
She felt the energy Mamoru was pooling and she gripped his hand, stopping him from revealing himself with a shake of her head at him. "I am not going to let her have you."
"If you reveal yourself, they will never stop coming for either of us."
They whispered, not needing to be louder than a hush on their breaths, their connection carrying their words the rest of the way. She moved to go around him and he stopped her, grabbing her wrist in a death grip. Glaring at him, he squeezed his eyes shut at the onslaught of emotions and thoughts she sent his way.
"Stop! Just stop alright? I'm not losing you again!"
She ripped her hand away from his, "And I refuse to watch you die again."
"Are you two finished?!"
They both turned to glare at the creature, her hair standing on end in her fury. She had to hold back the giggle that wanted to release when Mamoru thought about the little troll dolls, comparing the creature to them. He disguised his chuckle as a cough when she thought about the jewel on the trolls in their belly buttons and wondered if they could make a wish.
Both their smiles fell when she was grabbed up again by her hair. "What is your problem with my hair?!"
Her free hand reached over and grabbed Usagi's wrist, deciding to go ahead and drain her now. She felt the pull and she wasn't sure if she should let her take it or resist? Would she have figured out that she was Sailor Moon if she was able to keep herself from getting drained?
Mamoru moved for her again, ignoring her looks and calls to him in her mind. He stopped when another figure shimmered next to the woman.
"An! Let her go now!"
Mamoru watched for a second, looking back at her and smirking. Then he changed directions, grabbing the blue-haired creature that matched the woman he stood next to.
"NO! You let him go!"
"Not as much fun to see the life of the one you love threatened is it?"
Mamoru held the guy in a chokehold, his forearm pressing against the creature's windpipe. He had taken a big risk, assuming they had similar bodily functions. But the creature was clearly struggling to breathe now.
"How about we make a trade?"
She glanced over at her capture, finding the woman struggling to make a decision. The look on the other creature's face was too cruel.
Mamoru shook his head at her. "Don't you feel sorry for them, Usako, they attacked first." She could feel the tears in her eyes, looking back at Mamoru who shook his head harder. "No, no way! Not until you are safe!"
She had distracted him, the creature he held elbowing him hard in the ribs, causing Mamoru to loosen his hold just enough for the creature to break free and blast Mamoru with a strange energy.
"Mamoru!"
The creature that held her screamed out at the exact same time as she had, something Usagi did not miss as she looked back up to stare at the woman. She glared back, fire in her eyes as if she could catch Usagi on fire with a look.
"This is all YOUR fault!"
Releasing her hair, the creature backhanded her, sending her flying across the room. In a flash, it was on her again, its hands around her neck, cutting off all oxygen. Black invaded her vision, spots that got larger and larger by the second.
She could feel Mamoru's power swelling, fully ready to blast this creature into oblivion and reveal himself to the enemy and the world. She begged him, through their link, not to. But he wasn't listening, taking blow after blow from the second creature that kept him from her. So focused on getting to her that he wasn't even fighting back save to get free of the beast.
Heat hit her face, a flame rushing past her, barely missing her as it funneled into the creature that held her down. The creature released a loud screech, the sound disappearing mid-scream as it shimmered away. Then the sound of glass crushing under feet rang out in the silence that now filled her ears, even Mamoru was silent. Red and purple fluttered above her, her vision still blurry while her throat burned.
"Geez... Pyro… you almost… singed me."
Mars' glare was the last thing she saw before slipping off into the darkness.
WOOO HOOO MARS IN THE HOUSE! Not gonna lie, she's my favorite return in this fic. Showing up all badass. One Senshi left!
On a more subdued note...
As much as it pains me to make this public because it just gives these people what they want which is attention, I'm at my wit's end and need help. I have mentioned that I've been a victim of bullying. This was all recently too I don't mean back in my school days. So recent, in fact, it's still going on. Currently, my work is posted on a page that doesn't have my permission to do so, the page called Elite Squad B. It's a page run by the very people who bullied me and all my friends in my other fandom.
Most might say, "take it as a compliment" but they don't have my name anywhere on the joint page and my old name next to my works. It’s plagiarism. And keep in mind, these are the same people that said I was bullying them to our entire fandom, slandering mine and my friends' names to the point that most of them left. All of you know what happened to my dear friend and beta, darkenedhrt101. My other friends are still in the fandom but aren't as active as they once were. The only reason they were ever attacked was because they were my friends and I supported their work. None of us ever did anything my bullies said we did, not even tell our readers what was going on. But they still blamed them as well, telling me it was one of my 'fans' accosting them. I'm 100% sure the troll they got famous from was all made up and then used to tear me and my friends down. If not, how could they ever think this person was on my side? I'm the one they threatened to throw out of the fandom.
I want to be done with these people and for the most part, I am. I've blocked them everywhere and think of them never. Except when it comes to my stories on their page. A collaborative page I helped create when they pretended to be my friend. And although I gave permission, I have asked them to take them off, taken the permission away. I know the 'collaborative' piece is a hard sell, even though the concept and first chapter are mine, I gave them the project under duress, and they have since changed the concept to something else and ruined the fic. I feel I have the right to ask them to remove my chapter. The other work is mine. A few unnecessary sentences were added so the other person could add their name to the fic. But it's my story and work.
I have reached out to the owners of the page and but about four months later, and nothing has been done. So I'm going public in hopes I can at least get it out there that wrong is still being done to me. These people accused me of spreading their personal business and pretending to be a troll. Why do they still want my name on anything of theirs? Because they are still using and abusing my name, that's why. And it needs to stop.
Words cannot express the changes this bullying has done to me. I'm no longer social, not on any social media, and I'm not as active in that fandom anymore. I wish I had saved the messages they sent me. Especially the one where one of them admitted to stealing my fic from me. But I didn't have the forethought and didn't want the reminder of their negativity even saved on my phone.
I owe them nothing and ignoring them didn't work. So even though I don't want to give them the satisfaction of knowing what they did to me, I want all of you to know more. They pushed my best friend out of the fandom, something we did for fun, all for their own selfish needs. They turn writers that I once respected and admired against us based on lies. And to this day, they still claim some kind of ownership to my work. I hope all of you can understand and sympathize. I don't expect much, I just want my stuff off their page. And if making a big stink, and stirring up my anxiety as I'm super non-confrontational, is what it takes then here goes.

rakish
okay so this one’s for someone who didn’t have a tumblr but who requested it anyway. Prompt is CT Zoisite, Mamoru, ‘rakish’, smut OK. I tried. I tried to smut. Mamoru did not cooperate. Zoisite is patient.
"Goodnight, Usako," mumbled Mamoru sleepily into his phone with an endless ocean of affection. He waited, then laughed a little. "I know you're not going to bed. I love you too. I have to sleep..."
Waiting again -- she'd be hurt if he hung up first -- he finally heard the call disconnect on her end, then let his phone drop to the mattress beside his pillow. The tiny single he'd scored in Kirkland House didn't feel so empty when she called, even if he had to make himself stay up until one in the morning so she could catch him when she got out of school.
He'd managed to transfer rather than having to do his entire freshman year all over again; there was an absurd -- almost suspicious -- level of accommodation they'd given him, for all that he'd disappeared off the face of the earth for six months and then jammed a year's worth of classes into a semester and three short summer sessions back in Tokyo. He wasn't entirely sure how the entire mess had even worked, but suspected Setsuna of having friends in high places.
And somehow he even got a single.
And somehow, even if he'd been sleepy less than a minute ago, Mamoru was wide awake again-- wide awake and uneasy. He could sense magic somewhere nearby, sharp and clear to his starved senses; it wasn't dark, it wasn't a youma, but it could still be some kind of enemy. His fingers curled into his sheets and he stared, unseeing, at the dark ceiling.
Abruptly, Mamoru sat up in bed and swung his feet over the side, standing up and reaching out with his heightened magical sense; the feeling was growing, and if he could pinpoint it--
The door opened, and he threw up his hand to shade his eyes from the hallway's light. An open door, he couldn't help thinking, was terribly anticlimactic, even if it /had/ been locked. Even more mundanely, the person who opened it -- the silhouette was short and slim with wavy long hair -- actually closed it again after coming inside.
Mamoru's night vision was shot, and there were still stars dancing in his eyes as the person approached; he backed up and fell backwards over the end of his bed, then leapt to his feet with the window behind him, hair sticking up amazingly rakishly for what should honestly just have been unappealing bedhead. "What do you want? Who are you?" he demanded, hastily adopting a defensive stance.
"Endy--?" came a heartbreakingly familiar voice, sounding baffled. "It's me, what are you even-- why are you sleeping in a closet?"
A voice that belonged to a rock sitting on his nightstand.
Mamoru reached out with his soul, this time, looking for the connections he had -- like the strings of fate -- to the souls locked in the gems he'd taken with him, the souls which slept more and more often, only speaking with him when he called.
The connection to Zoisite was there, still. But the thread was split, and it gave him the promise of an immense headache if he tried to do anything more than glance at it.
"What-- how--?" the prince stammered uncomprehendingly. His head turned from the figure to the rocks, and then back to the figure, and he willed his sight to recover. After a half second, he could see a little better, and the figure was still approaching him. Was approaching and was definitely Zoisite, no question. Mamoru's eyes widened, and he froze in his tracks.
"--oh," said Zoisite, also stopping, and then again and more emphatically, "/oh/." And then there was an unmistakable grin in his voice, full of mischief. "Ara~!"
All of a sudden, the nineteen-year-old found himself being pressed back against the strip of wall next to the window and kissed insistently by a man half a head shorter than himself, the sharp rich scent of some kind of flower that somehow shared characteristics with caramel filling his nose. He flailed for a second, then took Zoisite's shoulders and pushed him back, blushing furiously. "Are you /kidding/ me? You feel like you're really you, but if you're really you then you /know/ I have a girlfriend, and you /know/ she's so jealous she was even jealous of Chibiusa--" he gasped, looking down and finally seeing bright green eyes in the light from the street outside.
"--and you /know/ she gets to have all /kinds/ of fun with her girls while you pine away in your little dorm on the other side of the world," said Zoisite, reaching up a delicate hand to lightly trace down the side of Mamoru's face, then land with fingertips on his prince's lips. He was smirking, but there was something behind his eyes that looked incredibly indignant -- and aching -- on Mamoru's behalf.
"I'm not interested in anyone but her!" Mamoru protested defensively, taking Zoisite's wrist and pulling the hand away from his mouth-- but he was blushing, and Zoisite was still pressed against him, back arched so he could lean back to look up, and Zoisite could tell the blood wasn't rushing /just/ to Mamoru's face.
"No," Zoisite practically purred, his other hand trailing up Mamoru's bare chest to curl around the back of his neck and slip fingers into the taller boy's short black hair. "You're not interested in anyone you've met here on campus. And you're not generally interested, in fact, in anyone you're not already connected to, here--"
Like quicksilver, Zoisite's wrist practically melted from Mamoru's grasp and his hand came up to touch at Mamoru's temple. "Or here." And the hand came down again to lay flat against Mamoru's heart-- no, not heart. The place where they both knew a brilliantly shining crystal lived, warm and golden, and full of the sense of home that everyone on Earth would instinctively know if they felt its power healing them.
Mamoru's back was getting cold against the window, and Zoisite was like fire in front of him, hypnotic and burning hot, always moving even when stationary. Blue eyes locked on green, and the next protest died unspoken as Zoisite let his hand fall from Mamoru's chest, then gently took Mamoru's own hand and delicately placed the tip of one of his fingers between his lips. It was mostly a kiss, but there was the barest flicker of Zoisite's tongue against the very tip, and then the strawberry blond guardian smiled around it and let go of Mamoru's hand.
It took a second before Mamoru remembered to move his hand away, and in that second, Zoisite pressed himself harder against Mamoru's hips, a slow and teasing motion upwards that was /almost/ a grind, /almost/.
Mamoru sucked in a breath, sharp and quick, and then released a puff of it between his teeth. Not quite a hiss. "I-- I think-- that's called demisexuality--" he managed, the words sort of falling out of his mouth. "And-- how the hell-- how the /hell/ would you know, you've been a /rock/ for three years--!"
Zoisite leaned in, and his breath against Mamoru's collarbone was the start of a brushfire, lightning against dried foliage and naked twigs. Mamoru could feel his closeness everywhere, not just where erection insistently pressed against erection, with trousers and pajama bottoms in between. When Zoisite's mouth landed against his skin, Mamoru could feel it in every nerve, and he couldn't--
No, he could make him stop. He could make himself make Zoisite stop. The fact that he hadn't already was evidence that he didn't /want/ to.
As he came to that realization, his empathy could taste something else in Zoisite's emotion surface: the strange assuaging of a very, very, very old guilt, and the rapid birth of a new one to replace it.
That was what finally made Mamoru shake himself out of it enough to put the brakes on. He roughly took Zoisite's shoulders and pushed him back, then further back, arms' length. He kept going, pushing the shorter boy toward the bed, then down to sit on it. His face was red and he was flustered and the evidence of his arousal was still quite apparent in his pajamas, but he stood far enough away from Zoisite that Zoi wouldn't take that as an invitation. Yet.
"No. Usa and I didn't discuss this. Not okay." He crossed his arms and scowled at the prettiest of his Shitennou. "Yes, you caught me, you're beautiful and I want you, in addition to loving you with everything I've got-- just like I love the other guys-- just like I love Usa. But that doesn't mean I get to cheat on her with you."
He took a deep breath. "So-- first you're going to tell me how you're sitting on my bed and on my nightstand at the same time, and then you're going to tell me why getting me hot and bothered made you stop feeling guilty and then made you feel guilty about something else, and then you're going to tell me the BIG THING you're not telling me, and then -- if what you tell me washes -- I am going to call Usa back and tell her you're here and trying to get in my pants and ask her if that's okay."
Zoisite pouted, crossing his own arms in mirror image to Mamoru's, and scowled right back. "You are literally no fun."
"I'm a /lot/ of fun," said Mamoru pointedly, "on /my terms/."
The pretty, pretty boy on Mamoru's bed sighed deeply, slouching in defeat. "I'm from Crystal Tokyo," he said in a low voice, turning his face away. "We all feel guilty you stuck it out alone this whole time at Harvard, so you even starting to-- the idea that I could maybe lessen that, just a little?" Suddenly he was looking up at Mamoru again, his eyes shining bright and sorrowful and hopeful, all at once. "That's the relief. The guilt is that the other guys aren't in on it. And I honestly have no idea how I'm here, I legitimately thought I was going into your-- I mean King Endymion's-- closet to pick out an outfit for him to wear into town, we were going to go out undercover..."
Mamoru stared. He couldn't stop staring, and he wasn't sure what was up with his heart, but it was definitely beating too fast and too hard, and he felt faint, and he felt so much hope all at once that he could taste it in his mouth and feel it singing through his blood, and his eyes stung and Zoisite looked blurry, there in the semi-dark. He opened his mouth to say something, dimly aware that he /should/, but he couldn't make the words come.
They'd be alive again. They were going to be alive again. He would have them back for real, he would have them /back/, he would be able to touch them, to hold them, to know they were there-- he would be able to let them hold him, he would be able to fall apart on someone it wouldn't /break/.
He took in a shuddering breath instead, and came over to put his hand on the side of Zoisite's face, and then bent to kiss the top of that bright-haired head.
It took him a couple of tries to pick up his phone after he went around to the other side of the bed, and deciding that precautionary measures were the things that saved phone replacement costs, sat down to call Usagi.
"...yeah," he said into the phone, hands and voice both shaky. "Yeah I'm fine. I just-- Usa. Zoisite's here--"
A pause, and he vehemently shook his head. "No, really here. I mean his gem too, but he's really really here. From Crystal Tokyo. ... yeah, I don't know if they hid or what. ... no, he doesn't know how he got here. ... no, it's-- Usa-- he knows about you and the girls, he wants to-- ... yeah. ... yes. Is that-- is that okay?"
An instant later, Zoisite could /feel/ as much as see the tension rush out of Mamoru.
"... really? I'm sorry, I-- ... okay, okay, I'm not sorry, fine! I just-- thank you... no, I /do/, I /do/ need to-- you know nothing could-- ... oh my god, Usako, she is? I'm going to die. ... /Minako you're noisy!/ Yes fine go away! Tell her I-- OKAY ALREADY!"
Mamoru did not throw the phone. He /did/ very vehemently press 'end call' and then turn the ringer off and jam it in the drawer of his nightstand.
Then he sat there with his face burning in his hands, hunched over, really not okay with the tsunami of mutually exclusive and equally emphatic emotions warring over his physiology.
He could feel the bed moving, could feel Zoisite creeping across it toward him; a second later, he felt Zoisite's arms around him, gathering him close and somewhat awkwardly letting him attempt to vanish inside the embrace. He was too tall for Zoi to envelop efficiently, but it didn't matter.
He could also feel Zoisite's forgiveness when he started just crying unsexily, years of pent-up feelings finally releasing themselves into the care of his knight--
After all, what he needed at that moment was healing and purification.
The needs of his trousers could wait a little longer.

sailor moon episode 17 (a girl’s true beauty is inside, aka usagi-family shut all the fuck up)
oh look its Usagi vs beauty standards she WANTS to live up to them but also they are bullshit and she's pissed my baby <3
also I want to draw her again but like in an entirely different way? i think i know what i was getting right and wrong in the different Usagis I drew last time
btw my friend also commented that she doesnt like how Usagi switched from talking to herself about the opening to comparing herself to her friends (unfavorably)
like she didnt like the old version either but the new one is not an improvement
someone please give my sweet rabbit child some self respect i swear to god i will bite y'all
also she commented that usagi says 'im a crybaby' right after probably breaking her nose on the floor and SHE WOULD CRY IF THAT HAPPENED TOO
meanwhile i myself like that Usagi has switched from 'im clumsy and a crybaby and thats about it' to 'im a superheroine!!!' like yeah thats not MUCH progress but Usagi does claim this as an identity now
then again it might not be all that positive now compared to if she'd done that back when she was alone and, y'know, actually doing all the work
Usagi just. can't keep up when Rei sets the tempo and thats impacting her all the harder now that she actually feels like this is something she IS
I love that Usagi keeps track of what school is near where. the queen knows her kingdom
also I love where Usagi's priorities lie in respect to 'precious youth'. this girl knows what she's about
omfg this guy looks completely hounded. are these the same photographers that swarmed rui-chan the tennis player?
also ha i just realized the senshi are going to be around for this guy because of usagi's need to keep track of everything that's happening! queen <3
'don't act like a groupie!!!' you know when Rei stopped them I assumed she was going to tell them off for crowding the already overwhelmed guy but no instead it's about looking good (tm) and of course it is it's rei usagi's the one who cares about how people feel like no disrespect rei is a glory and a fire but just. this is usagi's strength, and right now rei is doing the exact wrong thing
like Usagi would have most definitely understood the 'dont hurt him' argument but DONT BE A FANGIRL is shit usagis not here for
omfg and here's Rei being a purist like on one hand she has a point in 'WHY ARE YOU HERE IF YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE PHOTOGRAPHY' but on the other hand this definitely smacks of fake nerd gatekeeping and look just being a celebrity in high school is an achievement worth noting
omfg and then he himself comes over to ask them to stop arguing I love this boy and also Rei's face
Tumblr media
like Usagi looks her usual confused Usagi self, but Rei is just. caught off guard. this is not part of her image. she has no clue <3
also HEY IS THERE FINALLY GOING TO BE BONDING
THERE WAS AMI/USAGI BONDING BACK WHEN THEY FIRST MET BUT THERE HAS ONLY BEEN REI/USAGI FRICTION SO FAR AND THEY IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE WOLF
omg Nephrite catches this boy when he's about to fall off a cliff no but literally he would have been dead probably or at least in the hospital if Nephrite hadn't been there to catch him huh actually the gardener guy ended up for the best because of Nephrite's influence too?... and Nephrite, unlike Jadeite, isn't managing to collect any energy at all! what a loser
this is another thing my friend&I discussed, Jadeite's general strategy was fine, he just should have been less greedy and more low key, while Nephrite is a complete loser putting all eggs in one basket
by no means am i saying that Nephrite isn't Actually Kind Of Really Fucking Evil what im saying is just that he sucks at it <3
oh hey Nephrite are you adopting a bit of Jadeite's strategy there Jadeite's thing was collecting energy from strong emotions, and Nephrite wants to buff the boy up by exploiting his puberty feelings
I love how it seems like Usagi isn't listening to Luna tell her about the communicator at all, BUT ACTUALLY SHE IS AND READY TO TELL AMI THE NEWS RIGHT NOW Usagi is much more capable of focus than Luna thinks she is, she just doesn't give a fuck about Luna's goals and priorities & Luna sucks at fixing that
...no but I still can't get over how Usagi's Evil Plan for befriending Ami was not even cheating off her, but GETTING HER TO HELP HER STUDY. WTF USAGI-MAMA. like yeah it could have been a mistranslation but tbh this looks perfectly in keeping with the kind of bullshit Usagi keeps being pelted by. someone pls give the rabbit child some math tutoring
aaaaaa I was just about to comment on how Usagi's next reaction after Ami is busy is to call Rei but then she starts remembering Rei blowing her off and just ALL THE SADS
WHY IS USAGI'S BROTHER SO MEAN TO HER WTF
USAGI-MAMA WTF IT'S ONE THING TO NOT INTERFERE WHEN THE LITTLE BROTHER IS PESTERING HIS BIG SIS BUT THE OTHER TO ACTUALLY CONFIRM TO USAGI THAT YOU THINK SHE IS STUPID AND UGLY W T F
at least Motoki is there for her <3
ASSHOLE MASK WHY ARE YOU THERE LIKE YOU ARE SAYING A RIGHT THING BUT IN AN ASSHOLE WAY
omfg wait what 'a kind heart and guts' <= precisely Usagi's strong suit 'but of course you got neither' <= why you gotta bully like literally why dont you stay in your lane why and then the crown jewel
Tumblr media
HAS USAGI EVEN REGISTERED WHAT HE'S SAYING YET BECAUSE THIS SURE LOOKS LIKE 'AUDITORY PROCESSING HASN'T CAUGHT UP TO SPEECH PRODUCTION YET' and Motoki's face like 'i want to be anywhere but here right now and Luna with her best impression of a vase
and oh looks like Usagi did mean what she said hopefully it was because she knows herself and sarcasm meters are off the chart
'Mamoru she's a young lady you can't treat her like a little kid' wait what thats new so have you noticed her raging crush on you yet also is that how you think little kids are treated
also Mamoru 'every time we talk we end up fighting' NO YOU JUST ARE MEAN TO HER EVERY TIME YOU OPEN YOUR FUCKING MOUTH YOU GOAT
'i guess we just don't get along' I GUESS YOU'RE JUST A BULLY DO YOU GET ALONG WITH OTHER GIRLS DO YOU ALSO TELL THEM THEY ARE UGLY AND STUPID AND CALL THEM NAMES AND INSULT THEIR HAIR DO YOU ALSO ASSURE THEM THEY ARE COWARDLY AND SELFISH DO THEY TAKE BETTER TO THIS TREATMENT
AW YIS USAGI TRIUMPHS OVER HER MEAN FAMILY IN HER BROTHER'S EARSHOT GOOD JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB!!!!!!!!!!!
AND AW HEY LOOK AT USAGI ACTUALLY WORKING ON THIS SHE KNOWS HOW TO STUDY FOR BEING A MODEL BUT NOT MATH
welp urgent need for a new swimsuit oh wait no i think i remember what she did Usagi is officially better at crafts than her mom
I wonder how many times Luna has commented on someone acting weird WITHOUT there ending up to be Dark Kingdom there I suspect many
also "there's just something wrong about you getting accepted" just why
LOOK AT USAGI ACTUALLY PRACTICING SHE CAN WORK AND FOCUS IF THERE'S MOTIVATION
ahaha she just tied the ribbons it looks good tho so still GOOD JOB USAGI
omfg he actually CAPTURES the girls in his photos incredible
im just imagining Luna "USAGI-CHAN THERE IS NO TUNA IN THE CABINET THIS MUST BE A DARK KINGDOM PLOY" "USAGI-CHAN YOUR NEIGHBOUR IS IN A WEIRD MOOD TODAY THIS MUST BE A DARK KINGDOM PLOY" "USAGI-CHAN YOU GOT A GOOD MARK IN SOMETHING THIS MUST BE A DARK KINGDOM PLOY"
omfg the boy is completely off the rails and still somehow intensely cute BOOM! BOOM!
and oh look her echo what Mamoru said unlike CERTAIN PEOPLE, Usagi is capable of listening to other people and hearing the grain of truth even if 99% of what they say is insulting her (at least, y'know, in retrospect. its slightly harder in the moment)
and oh look at Usagi not cry despite tripping and falling badly it's clear that she's in pain but she pulls herself together anyone who insults Tsukino Usagi is going to have to FIGHT ME PERSONALLY
also oh look at her transforming right in front of this guy just like the musician all people she doesn't actually have a personal connection to so it's fine if they know
oh look at competent solo Usagi again <3
SAILOR MOON KICK!!!!
...and now that the boy has been trapped, Usagi is scared and disoriented again
this is really the hard part of fights, just keeping your focus and not being overwhelmed Usagi can do 0 of it yet she's still fighting anyway
LUNA!!!
HIDOI!!!
and NOW the girls appear I wonder if Usagi could have done without them... actually this would have been the moment for Tuxedo Kamen to show up and I can't say I'm not glad he's not replaced with the senshi <3 ...then again at least he's supportive of Usagi
I love that Rei uses her shrine maiden spells almost more than her actual fire power
wait fuck the girls got snapped too
is it rose time or will Usagi gear up herself
AW YIS THE SOLUTION IS OBVIOUS
HOLY JUMP BATMAN
AND THE FINISHING MOVE GOOD JOB USAGI YOU CAN DO THIS ...but of course neither Luna nor the girls are there to see it -_-
hey Nephrite you're still a loser and Zoicite is there to inform you of that fact of course aw yis he talks back ^^
I wonder does Nephrite have an infinite supply of minions?
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW HE REMEMBERED WHAT HAPPENED
USAGI-FAMILY SHUT THE FUCK UP LIKE ALL THE WAY UP I NOW REMEMBER WHY I FANTACIZED ABOUT THEM BEING ATTACKED AND USAGI SAVING THEM ALL THEY REALLY NEED TO BE TAUGHT A LESSON ABOUT HER J F C

40 Questions - Meme for Fic Writers
Well, I only got one ask for this game, but I really wanted to answer more questions, so I’ve just decided to answer all of them!
1. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic. - I don't know if I really have a "comfort zone"... Maybe family drama and dealing with characters' backstories?
2. Is there a trope you’ve yet to try your hand at, but really want to? - Hmm, fake dating seems like it would be pretty fun to try to write. I just wouldn't know which characters to use.
3. Is there a trope you wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole? - The whole A/B/O thing... Yeah, no.
4. How many fic ideas are you nurturing right now? Care to share one of them? - Maybe five or six? And you can check out the answer to Question 37 if you want to know what most of them are.
5. Share one of your strengths. - People seem to like my original characters.
6. Share one of your weaknesses. - I'm not very good at description.
7. Share a snippet from one of your favorite pieces of prose you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it. - This is from Ashes to Ashes:
However, the more time that passed, the more otou-sama lost himself in his work and the more distant we became. Our house, which had always been full of laughter and smiles when okaa-sama was alive and healthy, might as well have been a cemetery itself, the ghost of her memory haunting us who remained. Even as young as I was, I realized that otou-sama would never be able to truly recover from his grief as long as we stayed there, where the scent of okaa-sama's favorite perfume still seemed to linger in the air and every room remained a museum to the woman who once lived there because otou-sama couldn't bear the thought of putting her things away.
I just really like the "house is a cemetery" metaphor. (By the way, that story is written from Rei Hino’s point of view, if that wasn’t clear from the title.)
8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it. - This is from To Build a Home:
"Take if off and put it back the way it was," he ordered, crossing his arms over his chest.
"But why? You always said my bed looked so cute."
"Yeah, your bed. But this is my bed, and I don't want it to look cute."
"Your bed?" She set down an ugly-cute hippo plush and arched an eyebrow. "Isn't it our bed now?"
He rubbed at his temple. "Yes, of course, but… You know what I mean." Mamoru pointed an accusing finger at a very familiar blanket – one that was too small to properly fit the queen-sized bed. "I am not having sex on a bed covered in bunnies and crescent moons!"
"That's never stopped you before. We did it all the time –"
"You're missing the point, Usako! We're adults now. Isn't it about time you outgrew all this cutesy crap?"
He regretted it as soon as the words left his mouth.
"Oh, I see. I can move into your oh-so-sophisticated apartment, just not my 'cutesy crap'." She grabbed an empty cardboard box from off the floor and started throwing her plush toys in it with a force that made Mamoru very glad she wasn't pummeling them at him. "If that's how you really feel, then maybe we shouldn't move in together at all!"
I like it because I tend to have trouble writing arguments, but this one turned out exactly how I wanted it to, and I can just picture the scene so vividly.
9. Which fic has been the hardest to write? - Hmm, probably Melting Ice? It took me about eight years -- I started writing it a couple of years before I actually started posting it -- to finally finish the whole thing. Sure, it’s a long fic (over 150,000 words), but in comparison, I managed to write Spirit of Fire, which is almost twice as long, in only two or three years (ignoring the side stories added later).
10. Which fic has been the easiest to write? - Probably my first fics because back then I wasn’t as self-conscious about my writing. But later in my career, I seem to recall Blood On His Hands being really easy and fast to write until I got to the last chapter. Honestly, I think the ending took me longer to figure out than the rest of the story!
11. Is writing your passion or just a fun hobby? - Both!
12. Is there an episode above all others that inspires you just a little bit more? - This is easiest to choose with Sailor Moon, so can I just say the entire SuperS season/Dream Arc? Obviously because of the Chibiusa/Helios OTP factor, but also because we learn about the Inners’ families and Elysion/the Golden Kingdom, both subjects that I love exploring.
13. What’s the best writing advice you’ve ever come across? - I learned about this from a post on Tumblr, but it’s REALLY helpful to run your story through a screen reader (I just use Google Translate). I think I’m pretty good at catching spelling and grammar errors, but one thing I have trouble with is missing words. Hearing the story read aloud instead of just reading it to myself and mentally filling in the blanks makes the skips so much easier to find. I also worry a lot about the flow of my writing, so I figure if it doesn’t sound too terrible being read by a computer, it’s probably not as awful as I think it is!
14. What’s the worst writing advice you’ve ever come across? - Probably the "avoid adverbs" rule. Sometimes using an adverb is the best choice!
15. If you could choose one of your fics to be filmed, which would you choose? - Oh, man, this is totally impossible to choose... Um, To Be By Your Side? I really don't know.
16. If you only could write one pairing for the rest of your life, which pairing would it be? - If I had to, I would no doubt pick Chibiusa/Helios, but I’m really glad I don’t! I enjoy being able to write a variety of couples and imagine I would get bored fairly quick if I was limited to just writing one OTP forever, as much as I may love them.
17. Do you write your story from start to finish, or do you write the scenes out of order? - It depends on the story, but most of the time it’s out of order, which is frankly annoying, but it seems to work for me.
18. Do you use any tools, like worksheets or outlines? - Not really, unless you count screenwriting and research tools.
19. Stephen King once said that his muse is a man who lives in the basement. Do you have a muse? - Haha, I remember when I first started writing fanfiction as a teenager, there were four characters I considered my muses: Helios (obs!), Shigure from Fruits Basket (who is a writer himself), Touya from Card Captor Sakura, and Tooya from Ceres: Celestial Legend (not sure why, though, since I never wrote for Ceres). I guess I would still consider Helios my muse?
20. Describe your perfect writing conditions. - At my desk in my bedroom, with the room at a comfortable temperature and absolute quiet.
21. How many times do you usually revise your fic/chapter before posting? - I tend to edit while I write, which I know isn’t generally considered the best way to do things, but it works for me. So I can’t really answer this question definitively.
22. Choose a passage from one of your earlier fics and edit it into your current writing style. (Person sending the ask is free to make suggestions). (Skipping this one unless someone wants to make a suggestion for a passage.)
23. If you were to revise one of your older fics from start to finish, which would it be and why? - Spirit of Fire, because while I love the story and the characters, I think it could be better written, especially the earlier chapters.
24. Have you ever deleted one of your published fics? - I did take down a first chapter of a planned multi-part and reworked it into a one-shot when I decided I didn’t want to write the rest of it, if that counts. (The Legend, if you’re interested.) Otherwise, no.
25. What do you look for in a beta? - Basically someone who wants to beta for me. *laughs* Like I said before, I consider myself pretty good at catching spelling and grammar goofs, so I don't feel like I really need a beta, but if someone offers, it doesn't hurt to have a second pair of eyes!
26. Do you beta yourself? If so, what kind of beta are you? - I've done so in the past, and if somebody asks me, I would probably be willing to do it again. I would say I focus mainly on spelling/grammar, occasionally making suggestions or asking questions if something seems off (like a character feels OOC or something).
27. How do you feel about collaborations? - I've never really been a part of one, so I don't have much of an opinion. If you're good friends, it seems like it would be a lot of fun, but maybe a bit difficult if you have different styles.
28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much. - his lordship Chaos, Allekha, and commas_and_ampersands
29. If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose? - I honestly can’t think of any. I have enough sequels and prequels of my own stuff to write! *laughs*
30. Do you accept prompts? - Not unless I’m doing a drabble game, which I haven’t done in years, or I’m taking part of some writing challenge. Just random prompts, though? No. I like to write what I want to write.
31. Do you take liberties with canon or are you very strict about your fic being canon compliant? - I’d say I’m middle-of-the-road between the two, closer to being strict about being canon compliant.
32. How do you feel about smut? - Despite being asexual, I’m a fan!
33. How do you feel about crack? - A lot of it is really stupid, but with the right writer and idea, crack can be brilliantly funny. I usually only read it on recommendation, though.
34. What are your thoughts on non-con and dub-con? - It’s not something I go looking for as a reader, but I don’t mind if I come across it and it’s handled well. I’ve written some dub-con myself, mostly in the form of drunk sex, but also some incidents involving magic. Overall, though, I’m really a HUGE fan of consent when it comes to sex scenes. Consent is sexy!
35. Would you ever kill off a canon character? - Yes, of course. Done it before and I’ll probably do it again!
36. Which is your favorite site to post fic? - I like AO3 and FF.net equally well.
37.Talk about your current wips.
Friends With Benefits (Kaleido Star) - This is the only WIP I’m actively posting. It’s a sequel to Blood On His Hands, and it’s about Layla and Yuri engaging in a, well, “friends with benefits” arrangement, leading to complications when they fall in love.
The Bonds We Choose (Yuri!! On Ice) - A sequel to It’s Complicated, taking place about four years later. Yuri, Otabek, and Mila have settled into their unusual relationship -- Yuri and Otabek are queerplatonic partners while Otabek is also dating/living with Mila -- when a drunken mistake at the Olympics changes their lives forever.
Metamophosis (Sailor Moon) - This is kinda a prequel to To Be By Your Side, telling the story of how Helios became priest of Elysion.
Stolen Dreams (Sailor Moon) - Ha, this is the only non-sequel/prequel story on the list! But it’s about an incubus who plans to get revenge on Helios by seducing a grown-up Chibi-Usa, who’s under a lot of stress due to her upcoming college entrance exams.
38. Talk about a review that made your day. - I was really happy when @floraone favorited and wrote a review for my Sailor Moon Smutember entry, Head of the Class. Knowing that someone like her, who IMO writes the BEST sex scenes I’ve ever read, enjoyed it... Well, like the question said, it really made my day! I also was pleasantly surprised to get any reviews at all for my last two YOI fics, Lonely Hearts and No Risk, No Reward, since Minako/Celestino and Sara/Emil are both extremely rare pairs. I seriously didn’t think anybody would read them, so I was thrilled with the reviews I got.
39. Do you ever get rude reviews and how do you deal with them? - Occasionally, and I just ignore them.
40. Write an alternative ending to [insert fic title] (or just the summary of one). (Again, skipping, unless someone wants to suggest a story.)

Chapter 15: I'm not in love with Eisuke 4th week Tuesday
A man is strapped to the chair with his bangs covering his brows and eyes. But you recognize him in an instsnt, "Soryu!!" He looks up to find his feet tied to the chairs with just his boxer on. "You're alive!" Sighing with relief, he quickly sees the cameras and speakers on the walls. "Are you hurt?" You shake your head, feeling a little dizzy. "Gzzz, it's... hot in here." He clears his throat, a familiar laugh comes from above. "Oh dearies, you two are feeling the heat? The drug sure works fast!" Hearing the amusement from her voice, it doesn't sound good. There's a click on the door and it opens, the woman with scar face enters with a camera in her hand. Yanking you up with the other and pulls you towards Soryu. "Let's play, I'm bored!" She smirks, making her looks much creepier than she already is. "What do you want?" Soryu tries reaching his legs but the woman points a gun to your head, "It's simple, I am only here to watch, you two are the one having fun." She says and kicks a box to your feet from the floor. Neither you or Soryu can say another word or understand what she means because your entire body feel like it's on fire, aching for attention. The woman grins and pushes you onto Soryu, "You know you want it girl, go on, ride him. Then you will be free."
"No..." The mobster rumbles, "Is poor Mia not sexy enough for you tough guy?" She teases and slowly rocks you back and forth while you're straddling him, "Does she not turn you on?" Her voice echoes in your head and vaguely fade away, "Sor...Soryu.." You mumble, not entirely sure if this is real. Your warm fingertips gently lift his face up to look at you, gazing intently into each other's eyes. You try to breath slowly, to calm your rapid heartbeat. "Mia." His voice resounds sweetly in your ears, lingering in your head, powering over you like some kind of drug. Wait, but you are drugged.
"We.... can't." He hisses, you are now rocking him on your own, leaning in, you press a hard kiss to his mouth. No, this can't be real. He makes a soft sound but his lips parts quickly. "Mia! No, we.." You growl softly and crash your lips on his, kissing is hell of a way to shut someone up. You've always loved doing it, in reality or in fantasy. When you finally break away, his eyes are on your mouth then down to your bra.
Tumblr media
None of you seem to remember where you are and the fact that you are being watched. Not just the scar face but also the other woman who's monitoring the cameras and computers, and broadcasting this live. No, neither of you know that. But the person who types the url does, watching it along with his friends. The blonde bites his lips hard to hold his laugh, as much as he enjoys watching you on top of the women hater, he's pretty sure Eisuke will have him killed if he lets out the slightest sound. Baba gulps nervously, he's always known you're sexy but this seems to be a very wrong way and time to "look". As for Mamoru, he is feeling more worried than jealous right now. He lights another cigarette and peeks at the boss, brows frown with clenched fist, not a good sign at all! You two may better off be dead than come back alive to be tortured by Eisuke mentally for the rest of your lives!
Why the fuck did you break that statue and end up in the auction? Why of all bidders did you have to fall in love with the sadist? The bloody guy goes makes enemies everyday and never gives a fuck because no one dares to touch him until you enter his life. Receiving hate mails, death threat, being attacked and lay unconscious for weeks. Just when he thinks you wake up with amnesia may be a good thing then you get kidnap and now they are all watching you live, straddling on top of Eisuke's longest friend. Honestly, you two may as well be dead!
"Just think of me, no one else." Soryu glints a little at your words with your lips snatching at his. He follows the kiss because he has no choice but to kiss you back, his tongue edging out to slip past your lips. God, he fucking misses this! Your warmth, your kiss, your scent! You smile and rub against him as you reach behind to unhook your bra, arching your back a little to push your breasts against his chest. Breaking the kiss despite his disappointed groan, you trail your tongue over his earlobe and then his cheek, nipping at the throbbing vein of his neck. Between them, your fingers start to pull down his boxer.
Soryu swallows, staring at the ceiling as you keep on sucking his throat while you lift yourself up to slide your drenched panties down. You come back to his lips, licking it hungrily before biting it lightly, stroking his hard member gently and hear his gasp of surprise at the feel of your warmth on his skin. You look down at him, he can't help but blushes under your gaze. It's always so captivating.
Tumblr media
"Mia, no." He says weakly, your hand still working on his shaft, leaning forward to rest your forehead against his. "Honestly, E...Eisuke.." His chest heaves as you increase your pace, wrapping your arms around his neck, fingers brushing his soft light brown hair. "I'm not in love with Eisuke." You encourage by adjusting your hips, grinding his crotch and hear his irresistible groans when your wet heat clasp around him. "Please...Mia.."
Taking a deep breath, you pause and stare at the box by the chair. Taking one last glace at the struggling mobster before bending over to the side and grab the plastic in your hand, strapping it around his waist and aiming at your entrance with his neglect dick beneath your buttcheeks. This somehow turns him on further more, you take in the toy slowly, letting out a low moan. It's not as long and as big as Soryu's but it's all you have, "I wish it's you inside me." You whisper into his ear, "God!" He mutters as you rock your hips in circles, arching up and down. He shoves his hips up for you to sink down deeper onto him, moaning out loud, you push your hips even harder down, filling your needy pussy with the plastic cock.
Wrapping one arm around his neck while pulling his hair with the other, his head tucks against your chest as he tries to follow your movements, panting and groaning while occasionally licking your nipple. Tongue swirling around it, driving you insane, "Sor...Soryu..." It feels good, not because the toy is filling you up but because Soryu is marking you although only with his lips this time. Bouncing your ass up and down and in circles, you moan his name over and over.
Watching you in ecstasy, Soryu growls and begins matching your pace by brushing his dick against your occupied pussy and buttcheeks. Imagining the toy as his dick, you rock faster, pulling him in for a passionate kiss and he complies by tilting his head to deepen it. Riding mercilessly as the dildo hits your sweet spots, tightening your thighs around his hips with his his mouth back to sucking and nipping your nipple, causing you another loud moan and shout his name.
He can’t handle it anymore, "I'm....gonna..." He comes hard with his hot seeds all over your buttcheeks and lower back. Guiding his one hand to your clit and rub it fiercely, sending heat right to your core. "Make ... me.. cum, Sor... Soryu.." You barely finish the sentence and soon feel your wall clench around the toy with the waves of pleasure exploding from your belly. After a few more thrusts, you’re both in mess, your bodies shuddering and quivering against each other. With his face buries in your chest as he tries to catches his breath.
Oh ----fuck!!!! That’s the only word comes to Mamoru’s mind as Eisuke's eyes are darken with rage. The room is filled with dead silence, nobody dares to move a muscle or to even breath. His eyes pierces right through the screens, the sick kidnappers have included all cameras angles in the feed for Eisuke to watch. Averting his gaze from the top left corner which shows the close up of you and Soryu staring into each other's eyes like you are the only people in the world to the lower right screen with his hands still gripping onto your ass along with his overthrow cum dripping down from your lower back. Eisuke stares at that very spot, glaring at that dragonfly tattoo on your lower back which he has never seen before.

Chapter 16
Writer’s Notes
1. Yes I need Eisuke to see this- to feel betrayed, jealous and fooled 2. I need him to see the tattoo 3. The Soryu I understand would never sleep with her until he has confessed to his best friend, I try my best to honor that 4. Mika respects that about Soryu 5. Soryu and Mika are not necessarily in love but undeniable attraction between the two 6. It’s not really cheating when Mika isn’t Eisuke’s real girlfriend =P 7. Also, I think it rises an interesting pov IF that’s really Mia and she’s no longer in love with Eisuke, would this situation be CHEATING?
I know some really hate Mika but I need Eisuke to witness all that, to finally realizes how hurtful it is and how amazing his REAL girlfriend Mia has been.
